Look MF dad.. stop mentioning MF in the same sentence as PDA. You can't compare the two. Not even close. MF is a good team with a handful of really good athletes and a daddy coach who does a decent job yelling at the girls. Not even close to the PDA program.
PDA DAD- I agree don't mention PDA with Match Fit in same sentence. YOu have a DAD coach that does not show up to games, leaves tournaments early or practices and another coach who has to have some cover him a lot during the season.I do agree Match Fit is not even close to PDA program, its much better. The Funny thing I do not belong to either, just hate PDA!
PDA > MF
At pre-puberty ages, the kids in older grades are physically larger and usually quicker than kids whose birthdays fall 6-12 months behind. So teams with many girls heading into middle school have an advantage at this age. It usually evens out by U14.
"Can you please clarify?"Nope. It's right there in the statementSilly at U11 to say "so and so is better than X"...It's all about improving.
Hope PDA enters events other than their own so we can see over time how other teams stack up....I do see PDA Storm slated for Eclipse in CHI. But I'll believe they actually attended when I see the results.
"I do see PDA Storm slated for Eclipse in CHI. But I'll believe they actually attended when I see the results."It should be interesting to see PDA Storm play NJ Crush in Chicago next month. It will be their first time playing each other. Crush has added talent but Storm should be favored. I bet neither wins the tournament however.

I don't know why any of those teams in the 11 v 11 bracket would even bother to show up. They should just give the trophy to MF now.
Playing FC Copa in that tournament is like having a bye. Good time for the parents to use the bathrooms during that game. You just have to hope no one on your team gets injured.
"At pre-puberty ages, the kids in older grades are physically larger and usually quicker than kids whose birthdays fall 6-12 months behind. So teams with many girls heading into middle school have an advantage at this age. It usually evens out by U14."True--but a 6 months difference in age doesn't take three years of puberty for the other kids to catch up in relative height for that kid. If the players are in the same year than the puberty gap closes much quicker. What about the kids who are playing up and are still the better players on their team. what is the excuse there? Old or young some players are just better period.PDA Galaxy is and will be a great team.
4:19 is that the new PDA philosophy? Have the teams play up a Year? You do know this board turns into a u12 board on Aug 1st?PS. I agree with you a Prodigy will be a prodigy with who ever you put on the field, Boys, Older Girls, Bigger girls that's just how it is.
PDA philosophy? To have a team play up the summer before their first season playing full sided? Many teams do that, PDA didn't invent it.
As stated before lots of u10 play up in age in the summer to get use to large sided field. Understand???
I do not like PDA at all. With that being said, I would like to see PDA and Crush do really well at this tournament. If they both make finals or perform well. It will validate were my daughters stand vs teams from outside NJ
I do not like PDA at all. With that being said, I would like to see PDA and Crush do really well at this tournament. If they both make finals or perform well. It will validate were my daughters team stands vs teams from outside NJDamn phone!
"I do not like PDA at all. With that being said, I would like to see PDA and Crush do really well at this tournament. If they both make finals or perform well. "With that being said, I would like to see PDA and Crush do really well at this tournament. If they both make finals or perform well. It will validate were my daughters team stands vs teams from outside NJ"The only freaking way to validate your daughter's team vs outside NJ competition would be to play in these types tournaments outside NJ vs top level talent -duh!
Where does your daughter play? I'm sure many people on ths blog can tell u where the team stands.
PDA - her club stands as the #1 ranked in America for girls.
In one comment you are saying you're daughter will try out for PDA. Your next post your daughter plays for PDA? Confused,
5:18 is a different poster than the rest. I was asking a sincere question of why all the hate.
My Oldest daughter plays for PDA, there is no loyalty at all with PDA. Just happens that my daughter falls in the top 1/3 of her team so she is not in danger of being cut. If you were a part of PDA as long as I have you will feel the same way. I root for my daughters team but do not care for club! This is why my younger daughter will never go there.
Why is everyone traveling all over the country for U12 soccer? PDA going to Chicago in August!!! Now that sounds like a brilliant idea. Jersey teams traveling to PA to play each other is even more impressive. Soccer should not cost $4,000 to $5,000 a year with travel. None of the academies tell the parents it is going cost you $2,000 to cover travel & entertainment costs for the year. Someone has to stop the madness.
All clubs cut players--my club just cut 3 players because 3 better players came in this year. if 4 came in then they would have cut 4 players. i assume PDA gets more to choose therefore they cut more.
PDA Storm no cuts in 2 years.
10:14 I don't get your post? Why do you care? I love the fact that my kid's team travels to different states to play games/tournaments. We all knew what we were getting into before we accepted. We love it as a family. Why do people travel to the Bahamas for vacation when they can to Rockaway for free?
DittoTraveling can be awesome family time.Great experiences for kids
"PDA Storm no cuts in 2 years."Tough for the coach to cut such great patrons of his business. New players might live to far or already have their own paid trainers..
Yeah - I did hear that Storm had very few at their tryout.
Can't cut anyone if no one shows up!
Stop bashing 11 year old girls. Storm won State cup in the fall and lost around 5-6 games over two years. On one hand parents bash clubs for cutting kids than on the other hand they moan that Storm has cut no in 2 year. Enjoy the 4th of July everyone.
Schools giving out more and more academic money in grants and scholarships. Keep working on the 1/4 soccer scholarship that is a year to year deal. Full ride girls soccer scholarships are like UFOs, people say they have them but no one can actually prove it. Soccer is a wonderful complement and supplement to a strong academic student. Keep the grades up and all is good. Most schools have up to 14 total scholarships and the average funds only 9, so do the math. Average college roster is 26. Less then 50% play and get money all four years. Good Luck
So... a girl gets a half scholarship D1 first year and they can just take that away on merit for year 2?Then when you need to transfer somewhere to afford it you hav eto sit a season? What? You dont know?I am not surprised.
Do the research. Pull up the team web page of 10-12 schools. How many Seniors? Juniors? loaded with Sophomores and Freshmen. why? and what does it mean? Roster size? While in research mode, print the NCAA recruiting rules and READ it. Information and knowledge will benefit the process. Start building the soccer resume. Get involved with volunteer extra activities and projects. But most of all, concentrate on great grades/school work. Coaches love to supplement that 1/4 scholarship with academic money and not have to give more limited soccer money to save for other players. makes the player worth more. Called a package deal and a 3.5 does not cut it. A very good student today can get a 1/4 academic scholarship fairly easily.
For the love of the game... anyone know what that means?
Yes....My daughter plays at a high level We are not counting on any scholarships.. We will pay for college the best we can. Soccer is more of a foundation for her through High school. She strives for excellence and we nudge her along the way. She loves the sport and will play nothing else..For the love of the game only. -And the many benefits one achieves by striving for excellence , even if you fall short more times than not.
Excellence in sports and academics of course.
I knew I had something special when arriving home from work and my daughter was outside juggling for an hour in the driveway. Practice tonight? no, just trying to get better.
I just puked in my mouth
may I suggest you stop looking in the mirror.
9:59 AM - just answer my questionsI know where to find the answers. You talk like you have themIf you dont then sit the heck down. And you are dead wrong on the frosh/soph thingIts more balanced than you think in terms of who is on scholarshipAny inbalance may be due to the obvious fact that more walkons are freshmen and sophs, looking to earn a ride for future yearsTHOSE are the upperclassmen that drop off. On the team, without a scholarship 1...2 years. Didnt get any playing time. So bagged it.
are people seriously banking on college scholarships at this age? Um...wow, that is so short-sighted and naive that I have no words.
Just do your own research. Truth is talking with college coaches and getting the facts. Bunch of bozos on here. Look a ufo !
who is talking to college coaches about their 12 yr old? How would that conversation go? " hi, this is Joe Stupid my daughter wants a scholarship, although she hasn't hit puberty yet or discovered boys and all those other distractions, she really really is good and can you fund her for the next 4 years, oh wait not the next 4, the 4 somewhere down the line.
...and she juggles in the driveway
Where is the "bunch of bozos" guy? Still talking to college coaches in his own mind? Face it, at this age, anything can happen and if your daughter is really good, enough so that college recruiters are knocking on your door, you would not be posting on this board with airs of superiority. Leave your own ego behind and focus on your kid, what she wants and stop living vicariosly on a blog and trying to impress people with your vast knowledge of nothing.
Mr juggles in the driveway - I hope she keeps that love - my little one did the same thing - until she came accross the wrong coach at the big age of u11. The coach obviously didn't play soccer and didn't understand what's required to play the game. They just ran up and down the field and used their athletic abilities - no technical skill - I'll use a phrase I hate "kick and run" - I was hoping for the money we spent and the resume the coach had - a little soccer would be played. I guess the results were important at u11 - i don't know maybe to get more college recruits to come to the games.Regardless - I love soccer and we ran for the hills So I guess I have become one of those dads that moves his kid around - 3 teams in 3 years.
What teams did you play for?
keep moving teams. the moving will do her well. Should be mandatory to only stay one year. Great life lesson in finding new teammates and friends every year.
i agree you must move at least every three years this has been studied
Damn. All that movement will cost another 300ish per year in uniforms.
Uniforms only about 160 including new back pack for each new team. Maybe rent the uniforms when rotatingwould be better. And rent the coach by the season.
I came home from work today and my daughter was dancing in the driveway.. I burst into the house and exclaimed, "honey, get Juilliard on the phone, we've got something special here"
Bottom line folks, the money is worth it & you will see it in about 5-7 years. Scholarships really are a pie in the sky dream for most of us. BUT BUT BUT...I don't mind paying this small fortune at a high level, highly intense academy if it means my daughter will be playing/training soccer in her teen years instead of playing games, on social media sites, at the mall, at movies, etc. She is 12 years old & I can tell you Fri & Sat nights we are training. She loves it & I do. Enjoy this ride while you can...
7:44 - I'm happy for you - enjoy and I hope she sticks with the sport and takes her family on a fantastic soccer journey that only a great program can provide. Some people will try to knock stuff like this and make fun of it - I say thank you for the story and good luck.Anybody - any news on the NE Girls NPL - will the girls be playing 8v8 or 11v11 in their friendlies / NPL events?
wow, so high level soccer is a baby sitter. If parents would actually spend some time with their kid, maybe we would not have the issues of today. Tough looking into the mirror, easier to complain about the drive and money then have a conversation or go out with the family(family night) what a concept?
Anybody know what leagues PDA, Rage, match fit, NJX are playing in for fall 2013-2014 season.
They are playing in the SESGLSuper Elite Special Girls League
My best guess is. PDA & MF are playing friendlies against other NE Girls NPL teams from MA, CT, NY and PAand Rage and NJX are doing EDP again this year.
I don't believe PDA and MF are playing in that ECNL/NPL league yet as they are only U12. I would think that PDA will continue doing what they have done for the past year and MF will continue playing in the NY NPL. The NY NPL plays 8v8 at U12
Do NPL and EDP teams play NJ fall State cup?
EDP is part of NPL so that question is redundant. Yes the teams play in State Cup. RAGE FC plays EDP and has won the State Cup.
PDA Storm won State Cup. Mr/Mrs know it all.
That was a LONG time ago...........
Long time ago? It was this year. The winning teams just finished regionals. Oh, you would'nt know this because your daughter was eliminated. So sorry.
How did Storm do?
5:10 From the 2013/2014 EDP application"EDP will continue to offer an opportunity for all of its teams to compete in Division I and Division II. In addition to flight play, CLUBS can elect to be considered for participation in the US Club National Premier League (NPL). Please note this is a CLUB wide commitment."NPL accepted Rage FC as a club?
RAGE is State Cup champsEspecially since Storm wouldnt tell us why they skipped it
"...wouldnt have the troubles of today.."Is 8:08 saying that youth soccer players become juvenile delinquents?Funny take,
Rage is a good team worthy of a state cup champion. They do however only have one stand out player that uses her size by being very physical in knocking the girls off the ball. I see it time and time again. Good strong kick and takes every throw in. This advantage will disappear soon. Then you just have another nice team chasing the PDA Storm. She will have trouble when the girls are big enough to push back. And no this is not a PDA parent. Unfortunately the players technical should have been the main focus.
Yes indeed. The concentration should have been on technical skills at this age. Physicality should have been down played.
Much has changed from last Fall till now...... PDA storm is a solid team and most have solid technical skills BUT one has to admit that they cannot score against the top teams. That is a problem, especially when you do not add a few true scorers...... Just saying they are not as clear of a top team as they once were.....
If my info is correct we ll have all we need soon enough ! I think we'll be just fine.
Storm have very good technical skills at this age. Also very fast and have at least 4 consistent scores. By u13-14 will be one of the best in the region and nation. Same as all other PDA teams.
CJ Invitational has numerous changes to its schedule so check times. 4 brackets for U11 and I noticed that with all the BS chat on here about the Force that they entered themselves in the 3RD Tier bracket!!! Why was so much time waisted on a team thats playing in a "bronze" bracket against a bunch of C rated club teams?Maybe the parents have no clue and they will raise the "cup" and the parents will feel vindicated for paying all that money not knowing there are 2 better tiers above them! Its all about the medal Forcers! What a JOKE
That is a BS assessment of Rage. They are a team with many skilled players. That girl is not overly physical for her size, she plays more finesse than physical. She is a great skilled player, with a lot of speed for her size and the coach doesn't even play her the whole game.
PDA and Rage are clearly the best 2 teams in the age group. -Rage is big, strong and play the whole field. Biggest scoring threat is from the 18.-PDA small, fast and very technical. Biggest scoring threat comes from their fast forward out wide.-Match Fit has the name, but not the talent. They will get better as new players come and learn their system. After that, it is pretty balanced.
People on here make my day!To above poster:PDA and Rage are among top teams, Match Fit HAS the talent. My opinion better technically than both teams above. And my other top team is NJ Crush. They have proven to be a team that can be very successful. Match Fit and Crush have a year ahead of them now at playing 11v11 more so Match Fit. Let's see how they both do!
Storm is getting better because they have an outstanding coach who is developing the girls to the best of their ability. Will continue to develop thru great trainng, maturity, natural ability, and that girls playing with each other from 2-4 years now.
11:56 keep telling yourself that. Unless you think "technically better" means having a coach scream "send it" and having the midfielder boot the ball down the middle of the field, yeah then they're technically better.
He is from NJ CRUSH, just making a comment about other teams so he can throw crush in the mix like he always does.
Good news for everyone is that MF and PDA will be moving on to ecnl and there won't be much to discuss since they we be playing in completely different leagues.Like this weekend when 3 of 4 PDA teams are in Richmond.Going forward, there will be very little interaction between all these clubs. Again, this will be a good thing for this age group and this blog. Look at the above mentioned clubs and tell me how any of your older teams are doing? Are any of them even worthy of discussion?
First you obviuosly did not play soccer or understand the game of soccer.Typical parent that pretends to understand the game. When you are saying send it, to me as a soccer player reads that as: get it wide for a thru ball where my wing is running onto ball. Taking advantage of slow outside defneders and spreading the defense out. I watched Match Fit play a lot, there team has some very intelligent players, I hear coach say thru ball but mainly I hear him say feet a lot and play fast. I wacth them play at least 5-6 times this year so I have seen them enough to. provide a true opinion on them. This so coach at MF YELLS a lot! I laugh at that, listen to him and listen how knowlegdable he is. All his instructions are right on. I also hear PDA coach say Send it a lot during games and so does our coach PJ, PJ says send it, numbers up almost all game. Does this mean he does not know the game? I think not, you don't! Yes, I do have a daughter on Crush obviously and love my team.
Well there it is.You know everything! Crush is the best team in the country.
Maybe the best club in the country. By the way, who is Crush and PJ?
Match Fit not even in same conversation at this age right now with PDA, NJX, Rage and Crush...... what are you smoking???
NJX not there either anymore. Crush has dominated them indoors and outdoors.NJX is a building a great team to compete in Pop Warner.
To 9:55 I can't stand stupid and your comments are stupid-directors make flights and they go by what they know about teams....no prior information on NEW teams stupid...remember what you said for the future...your the Joke
I guess you missed the 3-0 game at Delco where Crush only had about two shots. Your goalie kept that closer than it was. Stop comparing yourself to PDA, Rage and NJX. Indoor a bit different than outdoor. Prove yourself over an entire season first..... You are not there.
Crush beat NJX thoroughly this year. NJX what tournaments have you won this year? Defense to forwards is not very creative and very predictable.
Pretty sure the guy who writes "your" the joke is the joke...
549Didnt Crush just play an entire season?Oh....I thought so.But the rooster with the latest win crows loudest....Crow on.
Crush "worries" more about Vardar, Calvert, Oakwood, Scorpions and East Meadow but of course looks forward to any upcoming tilt with PDA, Rage, NJX and Match Fit..........New competition in the new NPL North East division (trip to New England in November) should also be very very interesting and challenging.
Vardar beats any team in Nj and beats them easily. Njx pda crush rage and matchfit can beat each other on any given day and it has been proven already. And force is playing in the 5 th bracket of 7 in the u-11 group. Dont know the challenge of that since they will be playing u-12 in a month
What tournament are you referring to for Force? Also what tournament in Richmond PDA is heading to?
Crush, you were completely dominated in Delco. Would love to hear you deny that. Hicksville and NJX tied in pool play and the final. Hicksville took the PK's. Two solid teams with parents that all were able to say what a great two games they played. But that's right, you were not around to see that.... These true top teams are in the finals just about every tourney they enter. The same will happen this year. Keep going to your rec tourneys for your wins if you so choose.....
What I find very interesting is that the Crush Poster didn't bring up the below tournament? Why is that? Someone having fun with you guys.Eclipse Select Challenge CupAugust 9-11, 2013. 3 teams with elite in their name! They must be good.
I think NJ Force is right where they should be for their first tournament. The one poster is right that there is no info on the team so put them in middle until we know what they can do. They will sink or swim. We will find out!!
When trying to decide what team your daughter should play on simply look at the clubs older teams. Ignore the bull coming out of the club about why they are so much better than their competition or why you're making a mistake if you leave us. This is there business. They will say anything to keep their better players. The track record of their older teams don't. Lie. Next look at the coach if at u12 and above. If you can score on both than your elite player is on right track. If the older teams are playing regionally in top tourneys then they can back up the talk. This is a good starting point because it cuts through a clubs bull
9:05Take the discussion out of the gutter - no need for thatNJX has been highly praised, as have Rage and Match FitCant praise PDA Storm. Cant see them. Hope that changes soon.
Make sure your kids have ankle guards if they get matched up with FC Copa at Spirit.
11:24, which age group should we look at specifically?
CRUSH dominated NJX. Never. 2 lucky goals off corners in VA and a win indoors with 2 seconds left on the clock does not indicate domination. Crush has been dominated everytime NJX has played them. Unfortunately, soccer is a game of mistakes and opportunity. Crush capitalized on their chances in both games...however, the last time NJX played crush, your CRUSH was CRUSHED, DOMINATED, OUTPLAYED AND EMBARASSED. So save the trash.NJX is a top 5 team and that's that.
Poster 1:28A great starting point is u14. Ask where the u14 teams play there tourneys and in what bracket. If they go to delco. Do they play in top bracket or 3rd bracket. At u14 the players have physically matured. And now simply count the number of passes the team makes. If they play in top brackets and team shows skills in linking passes then you are unto to something. If the style of play does not seem pleasing then they are probably by passing their midfield and smashing the ball forward. If club has no top level teams that play in the highest brackets chances are the club is just not a great club but it serves a purpose in a particular community but they will try and fool you to think that they are better than they really are. And beware of the club that only has one good team at u14 and above. This does not mean the club is an excellent. It only means that they caught lightening in a bottle. The club should have at least two or three teams at a high level. This certifies the clubs overall soccer curriculum If the club can't produce this type resume. Just know that they are selling you hamburger and calling it steak.
Best way to get a read on any club is to see where and how the older teams are playing. Are they playing against top level teams and succeeding. Or are they playing in lower brackets. The trainers can't double talk there way out of this.
3:57 Still waiting to here what has NJX won since they went to 11v11?Crush, Rage and PDA have all beaten you in final games.EDP and JAGS games should be used as practice to see players in real game situations. How many tournaments have you played since the move to 11v11. Don't think anybody plays more tournaments than NJX. Have they won any of them?
NJX has played 8 tournaments, no championships.Agree they are a good team, but not great. Predictable and easy to plan for. Long throws and big kicks on a breakaway. Can't build an attack without midfield play. Defense tired late in games from running up the field for ALL throws and kicks. Very good defense but can't expect them to have all the assists and get back as well. All players work hard but can't expect a few to carry the team.Thought Match Fit would have been great for the team.
Match Fit is just an affiliate with NJX. Match Fit from my understanding will provide NJX with a trainer, I do not believe this started yet. This should help this team out, have them to start playing soccer. This team will be in every game, they have a strong defense with playing with a sweeper\stopper. Once teams get bigger, teams will be able to expose this. At this age, it works effectively as girls are not capable of switching balls from side to other side with one kick
I don't know, nor does it matter how many championships a team has won at u11. There won't be many championships won in the future for those teams mentioned above. Especially if they play the best of the best. Each team you have stated above may have won 1 tournament this year, 2 max. So let's see how many each team wins at u12, then we can talk about Championships. Every team would have had 1 full year on the big field. All that matters now is that players are developing and getting better. I think I would pick 5-6 players from NJX to play for me and maybe 2 from CRUSH, RAGE and PDA. Coaches are always lusting over NJX players...Probably your daughter's coach too buddy****
Once again, anybody can win a crappy tourney. Means ZERO! It is about playing in the top tournaments. To get to final games in the top tournaments means much much more. Means that you are consistently playing at a high level while being challenged by top level teams. If you want to beat fc copa and claim yourself a winner of a tourney, be my guest. It is all about playing well against the top teams so you are ready at U14.....
Re: the log thrower:EVERY top U11 (to be U12) team has one or a couple of girls with this skillwell.......havent seen PDA Storm, so maybe not them....And as keepers progress this becomes much less of a problem....
"It is all about playing well against the top teams so you are ready at U14....."According to gotsoccer PDA U14 #5 and RageU14 #15 in the nation. Next topic....
This group of girls will be btter than current U14 teams when they get there.....
PDA Galaxy will undoubtedly be the number 1 team in the nation by the time they hit U14.
"PDA Galaxy will undoubtedly be the number 1 team in the nation by the time they hit U14."Well they better recruit some of the players from SDFC that dominated them late in the season.
"According to gotsoccer PDA U14 #5 and RageU14 #15 in the nation."PDA U14 is the #1 team in US at U14 - They just went 16-0-1 in ECNL play and started with a 5-0 shut-out at ECNL nationals.
PDA U14, didn't coach and several starters leave for Match Fit?
PDA U14, didn't coach and several starters leave for Match Fit?Hahaha NO, Thats the current U13 team (U14 Fall) PDA cut about 16 girls from that age group this year. They went from 3 teams down to 2
says volume when a top coach leaves for another academy.
MF pays more money to coaches, but pda has more adimistrative help inside with many paid staff positions. What's in your wallet?
8:44- Says volumes when PDA C team becomes Match Fit A team.
Crush won 5 tourneys at U11, summer, fall, winter, springJust for the record
Match Fit teams from U16-U18 are better than PDA. That says volume! Will see more players leaving for Match Fit!
PDA storm state champsPDA Slash state and regional champsPDA gunners Us club regional champs going to NationalsPDA u14,16'17, and 18 all went or are going to ECNL nationals.seems like the top club I'm the area.
That was an agonizing 4 day set up for someone to tell us that PDA is #1 at U14.#subtlety
For Match Fit, the girls program has only been around for 3 years. Within that time, not only do they have top team in our area but also nationally plus getting accepted into the ECNL. Program on rise, already knocking on PDA door!
July 13, 2013 at 9:35 AM- Jokes on you for reading it!
O'Reillys are PDAs flagship team. For PDA teams Above U14, Matchfit has dominated. PDA teams below U14 have only played JAGS, no regional competition, so they can't claim to be anything other than a decent NJ team. Tell PDA to stop hiding in JAGs and play some NPL competition and then you can compare apples to apples. I don't think Gunners or Storm have beaten World Class, Manhattan, YMS, or FSA CT to name a few,And the Mid Atlantic Regional competition is a joke. FC Copa was the only tough game they faced, none of the other non-Jersey teams just mentioned entered the tournament. The U13 field in Colorado is mainly town lever teams who won the B and C brackets (ie Parsippany Power and Flemington).Galaxy parents have even less of a clue. Rage is the toughest competition they have faced? LOL. Understand many U10 aged girls are not playing U10 competition - they are playing on U11 teams in EDP and playing true regional competition. Yes, there exists more competitive soccer outside of PDA artificially controlled domains.
Anybody know about the Long Island Rough Riders (insert joke here). Saw they dominated the U11 "top" bracket at Fort Dix.
That team is good, I watched them play, they will be a top 3 team quick, with Rage,Storm and Wildcats
The Barons are top 3 also after beating the Wildcats, right? Barons are a better team.
"Anybody know about the Long Island Rough Riders (insert joke here). Saw they dominated the U11 "top" bracket at Fort Dix."A co-worker of mine has a grand-daughter on the team. They've been together for quite some time, and have had success in both LI,NJ & PA.
"Wildcats? Really?"Yep.They picked up two really strong players. If the coach positions them where they should be, they'll bring a lot to the game.
Wildcats will implode. Their coach is nuts and parents even worse. Coach admitted this weekend he cannot control his parents who belittle opposing players on the field while the game is going on. They also call out racial slurs. A Sage rep should sit on the sidelines of their games.
I agree with the above post. My daughter's team played them this weekend and they will soon be the most disliked team around.
"Wildcats will implode. Their coach is nuts and parents even worse. Coach admitted this weekend he cannot control his parents who belittle opposing players on the field while the game is going on. They also call out racial slurs. A Sage rep should sit on the sidelines of their games."It seems people have nothing good to say about any team except their own.Congrats, you've found the "perfect" team.Who are you, Mr. Roarke or Tattoo??
Who is they? one parent acted out of line with his daughter's ex-team. That's it. Nobody associated with the team agreed with this person's behavior and it was addressed. Doesn't hide the fact that your team took a 5 nil. you should be howling at your trainers, not worrying about anybody else. Later.
How about the big lady who walks the sideline threatening her daughter if she doesn't run? Are you going to pretend she doesn't exist? And yeah, that coach is a loudmouthed dope. Don't know why they got rid of the girl who was coaching that team.
Watched a new team called the Imperials nj force. Looks like a pretty good squad and a team to reckon with. Saw they played in middle bracket but looked pretty good.
You meant to say you watched your daughters team the Imperials play. In a lower bracket and do well. They are not a relevant team for this age group. Average at best. Play the top teams and win the tournament then maybe just maybe you can talk.
"Watched a new team called the Imperials nj force. Looks like a pretty good squad and a team to reckon with. Saw they played in middle bracket but looked pretty good."It's mostly the Wall A team with a few from fill-ins.
1, Rage parents are the worst.2, Crush takes second for blogging about themselves.3, PDA, just because they are PDA.
Rumor has it Wildcats took the nut from Marlboro who was thrown out of Marlboro and then went to monroe then back to marlboro and then to copa and now wildcats. Think the parent has been thrown off the sidelines at every team. Good luck wildcats, just when things were starting to look up. Just goes to show these clubs will take anyone willing to pay
To 12:51 poster - when was that nut parent's behavior addressed? Certainly not during the game. Other Wildcat parents were cheering "We're #1" loudly during game along with him, while he was taunting 10 year old girls with alternating breaths. That particular game was played by a team fielding 10 players, not 11 due to injuries sustained that weekend. The day before all the injuries they tied the team that ultimately went on to beat the Wildcats (and SJEB ended up finalists). So I wouldn't go flaunting that particular game or the Wildcats performance during this tournament. Beating up on an injured 10 girl team and cheering wildly about it is nothing to brag about.
Instead of talking about dominating u11 tournaments, the real teams are playing up at u12 getting ready for the upcoming season. So while everyone is getting excited about how well they are doing or did. Your probably playing u10 teams wanting to get used to the large fields before their season starts
YepI see NJX played U12 this past weekendNot the first timePDA, Match Fit and East Meadow (Hicksville) have also done so at this level.
There are 5 brackets at u11 11v11. the imperials played in the 3rd which make it the middle. And no, my daughter does not play for them. Was watching game because my daughter's friend does. You sound as if you are insecure about yourself or something. Try to attend to your issues.
I got it. The imperials guy is the gakster. It didnt work promoting gak, so he switched teams to the imperials. Welcome back gakster
No the imperials played in the 5th of 7 brackets, impressive. Probably a mosa nat 4 team
Barons beat the Wildcats pretty easily this weekend. Wildcat parents were extremely obnoxious and verbally abusive to kids on other soccer teams.Watched them play COPA and parents singing GOOD BYE! At end of game.
I'd be singing goodbye too after beating the FC Copa hackers.
You people don't have a clue. The Wildcats got the 3 best girls from PDA AJAX South, Those kids definitely brought that team to the next level they will definitely be a top 3 team. Get a real soccer IQ you people are dopes on here.
Heard from a Wildcat parent that after their loss to the Barons....the Wildcat Coach told the girls "After the way you played you don't deserve to hear what I have to say" and stormed off the field leaving the team behind.Yeah.....this is who I want my daughter to play for....so it sounds like the "Wild" Wildcat parents got the coach they deserved....Good Luck with that!!
You kuckoo bird. You don't know futbal. You must be Copa daddy. You make trouble. You tell lies. Go far away, fatso.
What do you mean by "you people"?
Yeah, the wildcats got the 3 best players from ajax. And they are going to drive from where they live down south up to long branch. What do they have a dispensation from the coach and only has to show up to practice once a week and then play the whole game. That will last one year and the rest of your team will leave. Piss poor operation and every other club is following in the same foot steps. Don't come to practice just show up for the games.
To 9:04 I am going to go out on a limb here and guess that one is your daughter...gee isn't that judgement just a little clouded?
That Sjeb team you are referring to is mostly a u10 team
6:21 sounds like a bit of dissention among the ranks forming on the WC?
AJAX did not lose our 3 best players. Actually got better by subtraction.
Wildcats are a mess. New coach berates players and talks about getting "to the next level", yet he never played soccer in his life. Pressuring parents to attend his additional training session$$$. New players/parents come when they want and act like they are going to save the team. The only thing reliable about Wildcats is the constant payment reminders.
If sjeb was a u10 team, then who was playing for the u10 team that played? Was that a u9 team? Was the u9 team really a u8 team?
"The only thing reliable about Wildcats is the constant payment reminders."So $209 a month, then extra $$$ for training sessions? What does the monthly $209 cover, coaches bar bill?I hope the parents at least get a guarantee of a full ride to a D1 skool.Buncha' lollipops
No this tournament the sjeb u11 team played in the u11 division and the u10 team played in there u10 division.707 you are wrong the wildcats played sjeb u11 team. There were no u10s on the field.
Its called pay to play. If ur good enough you pay less and if your really good u don't have to pay at all or show up to practices.
Your payment might be $209and your center mid is paying 175 and your new superstar is paying nothing and if you start asking questions, your gone
"Your payment might be $209and your center mid is paying 175 and your new superstar is paying nothing and if you start asking questions, your gone"Are we still talking about the Wildcats?Sounds like the way NJ Force works...
SJEB has 2 teams who played U11 EDP.SJEB 01 and 02. The younger team (which is mostly U10 players) is the better team.
Speaking of EDP, anyone know when they'll post the divisions for 2013-2014?
The younger team did average at their own age group and doesn't say much for the older team if they are better than them.
well, they beat the wildcats, so there's that...
Wildcats, ask your neighbor what happens when your whole team caters to a few new players. You finished 3rd in a tournament full of summer teams. Little bit early to be claiming your top 3 in the state.Little wisdom: Good players/parents don't leave their current teams. High maintenance kids/parents do. Once you stop kissing their butt, they will enjoy be courting by another desperate team.Be wary of families that have played on several teams already.
wow, you know everything
1:01- Exactly right, its that simple.
I am a wildcat parent and yes we did play the u10 sjeb east team not too long.We beat them hands down.We played the sjeb u11 team this weekend we lost in a very close game. The u11 team is a better team. They move the ball better. Not just one girl going down the field. The u10s tied for 3rd this weekend thats not saying much.On the u10 thread I read they lost some girls to PDA this could be why they did not do well.I do not know. But the older team was the better team after seeing them both this weekend.
Toms River FC COPA 01 Elite U12 Girls team is looking to find 1-2 highly skilled field players. We are looking for girls who are committed soccer players who like playing at a high level. We would like to invite players to join our open training sessions in August. Our new head coach (Ted Gillen) is a ex-prof player with US Men's National team playing experience. The team will play in the JAGS MAPS league in the fall as well as compete in couple of Elite level tournaments (i.e. Jeff Cup/WAGS/FC DELCO), If interested, please contact Anthony@ email@example.com.
Be wary of people that come on here lecturing and educating the rest of us. I'll draw my own conclusions, based on what I see, not from somebody with an obvious agenda. Peace be with you.
"Little wisdom: Good players/parents don't leave their current teams. High maintenance kids/parents do. Once you stop kissing their butt, they will enjoy be courting by another desperate team."So right this is a "Little" wisdom. The better players will always seek the better teams, if a great player and parent from your team decide they want to go to PDA and they make the team, does this mean they are high Maintenance Parents? or perhaps they seek the next level going into u12.Please keep your ignorance to yourself!
If there is reason to leave (and there often is), fineOtherwise better to stay and build it....Success tastes better that way
Wildcat Parent, you must have played the West team, not the SJEB 02 team that played EDP U11 this Spring. That team is clearly better than the SJEB 01 team that is in EDP U11. They beat them on the regular. While I have your ear, what's the deal with that crazy parent? The big lady who walks the sideline yelling at her daughter. Is she still with the team?
Maybe the u10 team was better until they lost those girls to pda.I agree they are no longer better. The edp standings would have been from this past season before the girls left. They didn't do well with there own age group this weekend no way could they have taken first place a year up.While there 11 year old east team took 2nd.
5:51 SJEB 02 lost one game this weekend. The team that beat them, SDFC Rage won the final. SJEB West is the team that didn't do well.
It is certain things in life that make you stop and realize what is truly important. I am as guilty as most of you of jumping on this blog and reading all the nonsense about whose the best and just tearing each other up. This world is ugly enough without us adding to it. My daughter was very sad today that the beautiful little girl "Talia" who was honored on the Ellen show and was made cover girl of the year lost her biggest battle of all. Our girls are what matters!! Win lose first last..let them be happy playing the game and enjoying life.
I can't believe 5 kids left SJEB to goto the train wreck pda south. You people will see the truth after 1 season when your child does not improve. JT is the best now you got the worst.
LOL, The Wildcat depiction from the weekend is 100% accurate. The coach is sitting in a chair with cigar in his mouth. Parents are screaming at their players and opposing players. It looked like the "Jersey Shore" 25 yr reunion party. It was so horrific, I actually watched the parents more than the game. Thanks for the laughs.
You crazy man. Kuckoo bird. You go get help for this. Hope you not a daddy.
We left for a better opportunity for our girls.Have fun tying for 3rd place in you're age group.Thats as good as you are going to get.The days of playing up and winning are over and you know it.Hope you enjoyed the ride.
3:27- I agree with your example. If you go from your team to PDA that makes sense. My point was parents that make several lateral moves. According to an earlier post, a parent moved their daughter to 3 or 4 average teams in a short period of time.
