Yup, Freehold did what we all knew they would. Got blown out and proved once and for all that they're second tier.

Anonymous said...

Let's leave Freehold alone as honestly no one ever believed they would be the Barons. They are a 2nd tier team who on their beat day can hang with top teams just not beat them which is fine. They have been quiet lately so no need to attack them for no reason.

Anonymous said...

Please, they used to be on here constantly tooting there own horn about how they were a top team (usually after tying a top team). Time to pay the piper! Probably going to finish 7th out of 10 teams. Should have never came here blabbing.

Anonymous said...

They did but have not lately therefore bringing them up for no reason makes no sense. They aren't suppose to beat the Barons if they are a top team & Freehold is not so why would you bring up that they didn't get it done? There is nothing wrong with not being a top team as really NJ only has 3 that you can say for sure are & maybe a 4th is Stallions or MF improve. Barons still have a chance to win the flight so anyone that loses to them shouldn't be a surprise.

Anonymous said...

9 EDP games 4 wins that's under
.500 stop tell everyone how good you are!!! top 3 LOL

Anonymous said...

Freehold is a top team. They proved it many times. A bad game doesn't mean anything. Next weekend COPA and GFA will get their butt kicked and you will disappear from this blog hopefully.

Anonymous said...

Slick get your daughter off the blog

Anonymous said...

Ummm, the only problem with that logic, is that neither Copa or GFA are top teams either. Basically, it's the top 5...then the rest in no particular order.

Anonymous said...

Lol!
"Freehold is a top team and has proven it many times"!
When?!

"They (Freehold) are not supposed to beat the Barons"

Ok, then tell us again what makes them a top team then. Contradict yourselves much?

Anonymous said...

"9 EDP games 4 wins that's under
.500 stop tell everyone how good you are!!! top 3 LOL"

Who are you talking about?

Anonymous said...

it must be brick

Anonymous said...

Lol! Why?! What do they have to do with the conversation?? Since you brought them up, they're the only team that had only one loss.

Anonymous said...

Top 3 teams in EDP Central were as expected which if anyone of them one it wouldn't have shocked. Premier Strikers beat Stallions & they win the flight. SJEB had 2 losses & 1 tie but might have enough to take 1st as they beat Premier. NJ State Champs won't finish in top 4 & PA State Champs finish in last place. North looks like Commacks to win with GFA taking 2nd & HBC taking 3rd. Copa disappoints in the flight. If Premier wins flight then no NJ team will finish 1st in the top flights.

Too much time on your hands it's Sunday. Hang with your family. Remember 13 year old soccer.

Anonymous said...

not much to do in brick on a sunday

Anonymous said...

Which NJ team will ECNl bracket?

Anonymous said...

Copa copa copa!

Anonymous said...

Congratulations to all girls EDP teams this season! Standings are posted.

Anonymous said...

COPA -TSF 2-0!

Anonymous said...

Don't you people have any dogs to beat?

Anonymous said...

GFA IS GOOD, 2nd place 1st division EDP, give some props, we have guest played for them before, good group, very, very hard to ever discount that group at this stage.

Anonymous said...

Props for what ?brick beat them!!!! Not in the same League !!!!

Anonymous said...

Stallions going a long way to NC next weekend for CASL to get blown out by National Competition...

Anonymous said...

"Props for what ?brick beat them!!!! Not in the same League !!!! "

troll scum. Brick has 1 loss. Who else does?

Anonymous said...

Points lost are points lost You drop two for a tie and three when you lose. So saying you only lost one sounds good until you count your points at the end of the season.as long as the PS win and don't tie they will have the most points. They will have only dropped 6 points.

Anonymous said...

That's like going to newss and getting blown out by the same teams we play all season....

Anonymous said...

0 NJ kids on '00 region 1 team. Insane

Anonymous said...

Not true there are four nj region 1 players and they play on the same team in the regular season get your facts straight numb-skull

Anonymous said...

7:29
LDC-lost 11 of 17 players. Will not win a game.

Anonymous said...

you are the uninformed "numbskull" the pool is not the "team" here's the roster
http://www.usyouthsoccer.org/rosters_announced_for_2014_odp_girls_thanksgiving_interregional/

Anonymous said...

assuing the person who said 4 NJ players are on the NJYS ODP team, that is different than the USYS ODP team, were talking two different ODP teams.(they both stink, but none the less different)

Anonymous said...

No I think the numbskull meant that there are 4 '00 kids on the region pool list. The other post was regarding the regional team competing in Boca which is a subset of the regional pool and supposedly the "a" roster from the pool. NJYS is a USYSA organization. The state team is a NJSA team though US club players can participate with what is essentially an "at large" player card. What do you mean USYSA ODP? USYSA governs ODP after a kid is chosen to participate in a national event. Do you mean the organization stinks (I would agree) or the kids stink (I would disagree at the region 1 pool level)?

Anonymous said...

kids are great, the ODP model/organization (in NJ anyway), stinks.

Anonymous said...

supposedly the "a" roster from the pool.

The roster changes base on event, it changes as the move forward

Did your daughter get this far? I mean even the regional pool.

Anonymous said...

brick parent a real class act. My guess it came from the force.

Anonymous said...

Where is a Brick comment? Why are you so obsessed with that team? If you are just looking to take a shot at players that plated for the Force do it somewhere else. Somehow every comment leads it's way to attacking Brick? I feel sorry for you that you worry so much about what another team in the age group does.

Anonymous said...

Please stop with the COPA COPA COPA.. Go look at the last 25 games they played, 7 WINS/ 4 TIES/ 14 LOSSES!! That doesn't seem like anything to be cheering about!!

Anonymous said...

I think at one point copa was good, not sure what happened to the program, but of course wins and losses really tell the story over time, I would think more league play than tournaments allowing 4 guest players.

Anonymous said...

You will see this tournament. Final will be Copa vs Freehold. The only two strong teams. GFA is not at the same level.

Anonymous said...

Copa COPA COPA!

Copa took away the free rides and the best players left!!!

Anonymous said...

The troll is having a conversation with herself. She is Copa, GFA and Brick at the same time. Sometimes shadows as freehold. No parent would bother with Copa or GFA attacks because it was squashed at the soccer field. The issue is the child who goes unsupervised harrasing teams because they are unhappy with their parents, their situation and the fact that all of the mentioned teams have ignored her played without her or shut her down when playing against them. The issue will escalate and she will become a threat to herself if the parents don't intervene. But I bet her parents are fueling the fire as well. What a shame.

Anonymous said...

The real shame Is two of those teams are chasing points this weekEnd ....what a Joke they are!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Explain why a shame...why a joke...come out and play ...Copa and GFA are ready for your trolling ways..mtchfitecnl will loose to both...go study and learn to play as a team...then talk all the smack you want better yet play friendly so that your scarring does not become permanent

Anonymous said...

see you at tryouts....

Anonymous said...

" see you at tryouts" lol the " ECNL" teams arrogance is incredible. Instead of worry about your daughter development you are all about status. As I said previously there should be a state/regional/ national league with all teams and based on their performance they will achieve status and level where they play. Now you will have teams in the proper place. Match fit is not a top team, they bought into a top league .but again nobody will do anything otherwise there will be no money making and suckers like you that love the "status" the same way you like a fancy car.

Anonymous said...

all in the soccer nation know nj's u14 ecnl does not have the top teams in the state, both are barely competitive in their bubble league.

Too bad they do not scrimmage out side their league and play some of nj's top teams so we can help them improve their game.

Anonymous said...

Didn't say anything about ecnl ? Coming to your teams tryout

Anonymous said...

I assure you my daughter is on a ECNL team but not one in NJ and there are two main reasons that NJ ECNL teams are struggling IMHO.
1) there is a lot of movement that is well documented on this blog around this age group and believe it or not there is a some gelling that needs to take place.
2) In the case of another NJ team there was no movement(for the last couple of years they didnt even have tryouts)regarding fresh playeres. Just because their style of play with their atheletes won, they made no upgrades while everyone else did.
That being said all teams in this northeast region has top players, whatever your definition of top players is. Also don't diminish the competition just because the NJ teams are not winning every game. Dont you want a highly competitive league where anyone can beat anyone on any given day? Does a team need to go undefeated to prove to the bloggers and critics how good they are? IS this the only criteria for a successful league? Is this the only criteria for a "elite" team.
Everyone plays for different reasons. Everyone will has a different end game. Why judge?
So what if my motivation is different than yours what makes mine wrong?
Be positive for your daughter's progress and dont hate others. In the end, you will need to showcase your daughter to colleges if that is your end game. Doesnt matter who's TEAM is better, unless for the first time in history your whole team is going to the same college.

Anonymous said...

thank you non nj ecnl parent for finally explaining to the nj ecnl parents that most of their kids will not be on the team as "movement" is coming to u15 ecnl nj teams with actual top players

Anonymous said...

Yes, positions 15-25 are ripe for the taking.

Good luck!

Anonymous said...

Wow are you saying 15-25 parents kids not taken seriously?? Ouch!!! Sounds like a fun team to be a part of? Welcome to ecnl..

Anonymous said...

WOW....You people make the brick guy sound smart!!!!

Anonymous said...

Good luck to all those teams chasing points this weekend

Anonymous said...

It will be foolish to think that a non nj ecnl parent wrote that. Ecnl will not take off in nj because unlike the rest of those that believe the hype playing well and entering in showcase tournaments will have nothing to do with buying into the hype and status. Nj is densely populated with a lot of soccer talent and unlike most of ecnl koolaid drinkers many are educated on the bs that filtered through the ecnl hype. As long as there are tournaments we will chase but pay close attention to details. Winning percentage and performance at top brackets is key. That what we do. We do not need to travel across the country to brag about a status. Can't wait for MF and PDa to step out of their bubble. But till then we play ecnl teams out of the nj realm because unlike the ponzi ecnl teams of nj they are not afraid to loose.

Anonymous said...

So what NJ non-ECNL teams are we talking about that are so upset that they can't play PDA or MF?

The only ones I can think of are GFA and maybe Copa?

Didn't your best players supposedly go to MF?

Anonymous said...

Over the next couple of years, will the top talent really go to those non-ECNL teams?

Maybe some, but the migration of top players to ECNL teams will be greater.

Keep drinking your town/club travel team koolaid!

We'll check in at U16 and see how you are doing.

Anonymous said...

No one is upset. But it would be nice to see how they match up against our Second tier clubs. Not that we are better or worse but it would be nice to see how level the playing field is. I bet PDA and MF are competitive and could probably beat most or some. As far as the best player leaving it seems that GFA and brick are doing far better without. And from what I have heard on the blog she was never the best player on either team. So nice rey slick.

Anonymous said...

Our club team koolaid taste great. For a third of the $ too. Development is fine and maybe at 16 ecnl will be the ticket...for pipe dreamers. Keep inhaling a sucker born every minute.

Anonymous said...

NEWSS brackets are out.

Anonymous said...

Can you post the link? I can't see the brackets only the registered teams.

Anonymous said...

Newss brackets are not out. If they were they took them back as not being final. Yes, travel is part of it, not just VA, MD or Mass. Just look at the college coaches attending Newss. Go to the last ECNL tournament and see attending college coaches...That my friend is what you are paying for. Exposure to top programs in the country. I don't think you'll see coaches from Stanford, Cal, UNC or UVA at any of the tourneys you are playing at, if DII or DIII is your aim, your in a good spot. ENJOY!

Anonymous said...

The odds of your Mia attending D1 FOR SOCCER IS LESS than 2%...the odds of my scholar attending A d1 and having soccer as supplement is far greater..keep drinking ecnl koolaid as the rest of our girls play soccer and you talk the rhetoric they pump in your pamphlets
..UnC UVA yeah right just on soccer well see...need to be a team player soccer is not 1v1 as you bounce from team to team

Anonymous said...

NEWSS Showcase Red before they removed it.
Bracket A

NJ Crush Storm(NJ)
Farmingdale X-treme(NYE)
Yankee United Flash-NPL(CT)

Bracket B

Copa COPA COPA lets go today!!!

Anonymous said...

MF ECNL unable to score against a non-ecnl team in SECOND bracket of Bethesda.

North United from PAW are just a normal team that compete at all tournaments. Won second bracket at Delco this year. Good team.

Maybe MF 'it's all about ECNL' parents might quiet down now...

Anonymous said...

Too funny... College a non issue at u14-16, college coaches will be looking at hs seniors to complete their team for next year.

Anonymous said...

They are at Bethesda and you are at maps challenge , get realYou have not won anything!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Last time we checked slick your teams have not won anything ..your presence makes a club mush and destroys the chemistry needed for winning.. What team will it be next

Anonymous said...

Bethesda: nj edp in 1st bracket, nj ecnl in 2nd bracket?

This is why they do not leave the bubble..

Anonymous said...

"Go to the last ECNL tournament and see attending college coaches...That my friend is what you are paying for"

ROI not too good if you want college coaches' attention just pay and go to college camps at u17, you will be doing this anyway

ps thought you were paying for top training & development

Anonymous said...

Again, what happened to COPA,COPA,COPA today?

I am happy about my daughters league( ECNL) I believe its the best girls league in the nation.

with some significant club participation.

PDA, Dallas Texans , Sand Diego Surf , Michigan Hawks.

I am happy that you like your leagues as well.

"Different strokes for different folks"

Enjoy your journey with your daughter

Freehold vs COPA on consolation final!! Good job ! Lol lol

Anonymous said...

Low level tournament with GFA clearly the best team & Copa & Freehold play for 3rd? This really shows where these 2 teams are headed. Copa may be able to regroup at a level below but Freehold never did well in the 2nd or 3rd tier of flights so it will be interesting to see what happens to these teams in the Spring after very disappointing Fall seasons.

Anonymous said...

Any update on EDP Commock game?

Anonymous said...

Gfa solid. No chance against them this weekend. Copa and freehold in trouble. Low level I guess so. But Bethesda is far. Good teams here. Next weekend will be better with maps. You just cannot discount a team that trains 4 nights per week. They really "earn" the wins.

Anonymous said...

clearly GFA the 3rd best team in NJ...Behind PDA&MF

Anonymous said...

Very funny!

Anonymous said...

What happened to Copa today? When you lose to Freehold 3-1 it might be over for you. Shame to see them fall so fast.

Anonymous said...

Freehold won 3-1 vs Copa! Well done third place!!

Anonymous said...

Was over for Copa when coach left and best player left for MF... Then next best attacking player quit for social reasons but came to team with former coach from STA and was upset that he left.

When you lose coach that made team successful and 2 best attacking players... The only way is down unfortunately. They will compete in some decent games with current roster but if they lose any more players they will be in big trouble.

Anonymous said...

Good job freehold ... Well done girls

Anonymous said...

Pda/mf Come out come out where ever you are play plz . Both clubs trying to fleece players from top 5 . Mainly copa players . PDA has already reachout to copa fullback hands off .

Anonymous said...

Good job freehold??? Lol unbelievable

Anonymous said...

Its kind of funny how everyone is saying good job to Freehold when everyone said the finals of the Maps Tournament would be Copa and Freehold when Freehold got their butts kicked by GFA. I dont know why everyone hates GFA. They play good soccer and they proved themselves this weekend. They beat Freehold and went 4-0 this tournament. And you people have to notice that Freehold and other teams like Brick have been together for what like 3-5 years. But GFA are together for 1 year and look where they are. Give them some credit for once. I dont know how people can still say Copa is the best team by far when they cant even go to the finals in the 2nd Bracket. And they still complain it was the refs fault or bad luck. This has been going on for a month now! Come on, realize something simple. Please.

Copa has some very good players that are now not being coached correctly. They should move on. All those parents must be able to see that from last season to this is just an unbelievable drop.

Your Spring season and summer was not a fluke, you deserved every success you had. But now... It's actually hard to believe some of these results. Best player leaving or not... You have a full roster of very talented girls. Clearly the new coach is not doing your girls justice.

I heard he has changed players positions around, benched starters that started the whole Spring when you were successful...

If it doesn't change for you next spring... I'd be looking elsewhere.

Anonymous said...

Wow, Commack lost today. If GFA wins against TSF, GFA will win the EDP North.

Anonymous said...

Newss brackets out...

You are correct gfa girls did not touch a soccer ball until this year... cmon girls have been playing soccer just as long as most other u14 girls since u9 or so, teams now change personal yearly so all are in the same boat, happy for the girls having success, not a gfa parent

NEWSS Brackets

Anonymous said...

TRIC in 2nd flight of NEWSS? They couldn't score a goal in 3rd flight of Bethseda so going to be a tough way to end the season.

Anonymous said...

5 05 clearly you have no knowledge of soccer and are just creating trouble. For what reason that's anybody s guess. Copa is a team that had a nice run up the lower flights, playing a very direct style, capitalizing on the players strengths that are no longer there. Like others that come from the lower levels, they often find it difficult to play or stay at those higher levels. without those goals from those players. this years results should be no surprise. No t about the coaching. coach seems to have them attempting to play soccer. Vut again 5:05 you wouldn t know that.
PDA recruiting a Copa defensive player.Sounds like more fiction

Anonymous said...

I watched Copa play (gfa parent). I have to say they tried to play soccer. They were passing nice and tried to keep the team work in place. However, it looked like they were just trying to learn that. Dont you think its pretty late at this point? Maybe not but they will suffer for a while while this attempt turnd into a consistant play. They need some leaders as well to pressure and outplay their opponents. At this point the play looks more described as played instinctively. But again, they tried to play nice soccer. They just could not compete at this speed and level.

Anonymous said...

TR & NJX looked very bad this weekend at Bethesda...I see both these programs on the decline especially going into the HS years as they will only draw MAPS level players!! NJX got blown out 3-0 and 6-1 this weekend. Not a good showing for a so called NJ Top 10 team....

Anonymous said...

TR's season overall wasn't bad. Bethesda is a high level tournament. Not a place for average town teams. Did NJX bring their defense or GK to the tourney? MFA brought it to the table finally.

Anonymous said...

6:43pm ... It's not fiction it's reality pda / mf have been looking at girls to build up there squads . Once edp season is done fleecing will begin . Copa fullback is talking to pda well parents are .

Anonymous said...

I would guess the Copa player and PDA is a mutual thing. It sounds like this player is going to ditch if she can. Also sounds like she has some reasons to as well. Don't be jealous. Be happy someone is doing something for their kid or the kid is doing something for herself. Isn't this what is all about?

Anonymous said...

parents talking to PDA.. is not the same as PDA reaching out ....
a lot of parents think their kids can play there on the top teams. The reality is few will. Seen the Copa play and like others say, didn't notice that standout player. But then again
PDA has what-3 teams in this age group. So sure it is possible ; just probably not the ecnl team

Anonymous said...

PDA team needs defensive help. It is obvious by their goal differential and total goals given up. I think the coach would be looking for help as current players not doing the Job in the ECNL league.

Not making the ECNL playoffs is a tremendous black eye on the program.

They will have to fix it and they will look for help to get it fixed.

Anonymous said...

6:43 - Copa have never played a direct style. Old coach was having them take goal-kicks short, and passing on the ground until they got high up the pitch and looked for through balls. New coach is trying to get them to pass all the way into the 18 as the fast forwards both left the team so through balls difficult now.

So your 'run up the lower flights playing a direct style' comment clearly shows that it's you that has no knowledge. Copa finished 2nd in EDP 1st Div North in Spring with no defeats, won a tough PDA flight and made Semi's in a top flight at Delco before competing at 2 National Finals.

Do some research or actually watch them play more than once before you speak up.

Anonymous said...

You NJ teams are funny! TR didn't have a bad season? I guess your expectations are pretty low then as they had a losing record in a 2nd division of EDP & finished behind teams like NJ Wildcats & whoever Bridgewater is & just went to a real tournament mind you in the 3rd flight & didn't score a goal. I have seen Copa play last season & they were okay playing mostly to their speed up top but nothing impressive as most NJ are. Don't know GFA yet so we'll see if NJ can come up with another good top level team or just be average like the rest. How many NJ teams in top flight of Bethseda & how did they do?

Anonymous said...

5:18 what state are u from?

Anonymous said...

NY & we only see 2 at the most ever at top tournaments in top 2 flights from NJ.

11:54 - I wouldn't have the best centre-back sat on the bench... thats for sure.

New coach needs to recognize quickly that is a HUGE issue. Natural leader on defense sits most games now and when she does play she plays outside-back. Awful coaching decision.

"clearly GFA the 3rd best team in NJ...Behind PDA&MF"

You're Serious? There's SJEB and you must be accidentally be forgetting the team tat beat you handily in EDP cup.

Anonymous said...

I guess they mean sjeb, brick, gfa, pda, (mf, freehold, copa, njx, etc)

Anonymous said...

Old copa coach must have been a bloody genius, as current copa team with 4 coaches can't achieve same results.
Thats the only difference from last season.

Yup definitely the coaching.

Anonymous said...

Or maybe COPA was never that good since they were in lower flights...

Anonymous said...

What's the story on SJEB? They didn't do very well at Bethesda. Just one bad weekend or something more? Don't know much about them.

Anonymous said...

6:11 = shameful post from the ex-coach himself. Give it a rest a move on.

Anonymous said...

Old Copa coach speeks the truth. It hurts when its blunt. The leadership in Copa land is horrendous. And although the Copa folks were warned with a leaky email, they stayed. Now its shame on you Copa parents.

Anonymous said...

COPA COPA COPA is like politics.
On one side of the aisle those that support the old coach and say it doesn t matter that they lost 2 top goal scoresrs and the others, say move on that shouldn t matter.

Anonymous said...

Was the MF FC Stars final a a PK score or a nine goal thriller?

Anonymous said...

Hey brick guy you can't even beat freehold How can talk about being a top team....Never a top team tHe end is near

Anonymous said...

NJ soccer is mess. You guys kill successful programs like PDA or the very few teams you have that go out & represent in top tournaments against real competition then brag about making a final in a low level tournament only to NOT even make the finals. You make your State look bad & that is why NJ will never have a dominate team with all the jealousy & in fighting. This team will kill this team, this team can't even beat this team talk makes you look ignorant but it is amusing to us soccer educated people so keep putting down clubs or teams that actually do something from your State while the rest of Region 1 continues to get stronger.

Anonymous said...

Thanks your input hillbilly from region 1....the comments are from two or three jerks the same ones over and over again...so before you jump in and fall for the trolls tip a cow or something or better yet churn butter...PDA..MF do okay...but for now many clubs will not support programs that does not support the average household with players that can play at ecnl's level...they exclude families that can't afford the overpriced tag for less training an . Large rosters.that's why PDA and MF at thus bracket can't compete they merely have players that pay to play

Anonymous said...

This is a region1 forum not a NJ specific forum, but this age group is dominated by NJ. FYI NY, Philly, Baltimore, Boston, Wash, DC and Richmond are all included in Region 1 so exactly what prompts the "hillbilly" comment? By the way your writing suggests that your own education may be wanting.

Anonymous said...

Don t worry about NJ soccer, just look to see some of the top high school teams n the country.
Or check the box score of top 5 ranked U. Of Virginia first round win in college cup tournament, to see 3 NJ kids with points.

Anonymous said...

Copa parents. Why you blame everything on your coach? Don't yoy realize that many team has re-formed after the high school factor kicked in? The fact that you lost couple players is something that has happened to all teams. However, other teams got new ones. Did you or did you get new key players? Doesn't look like. It must difficult for yiur coach to deal with this and crazy parents' assumptions. Your success from last season was not as amazing as you think. You have not beaten sjeb, gfa, brick, pda, etc. You just had more luck playing against others in NOT top level tournaments. Since you did not beat anyone at the top, why you think you were such a strong team. If you really want to become a strong team, support your coach and give him time to do the transition. Stop demoralizing your girls, your yeam with an imaginary past success you thought you had. Time to wake up.

Troll alert! You can make the argument for Brick to be #1 based on beating SJEB & Stallions this season but they have not played PDA in over 2 years. You can also make the argument that SJEB are #1 as well. Hard to know who is really #1 in NJ when all the teams that claim to be #1 don't play each other. If you go by Got Soccer rankings then SJEB has done more in a calendar year to be thought of as #1 but if you go by this season Brick has wins over SJEB, GFA & Stallions but didn't play PDA where the other 3 teams don't have wins over Brick. Either way the Fall season combined with the Spring season will determine who is #1 in NJ but NJ needs to start winning tournaments outside if their State to be a Regional threat.

it has been quite a while since I last visited this site. But it never disappoints for providing high comedy. Take a look at your daughters team - How many do you think will play in college --- not many. And that is a fact.

NJ teams aren't any good - really................

I would take it the other direction. There are a lot of places for players to play in NJ for this age group and the talent is spread around, maybe most don't want the financial commitment to play for ECNL teams. But in this age group there are a lot of good players and a lot of good teams. Actually like that fact, it makes most league (NPL/EDP/etc.) worth while.
NJ teams normally fair very well in tourneys outside of NJ - Some play at different levels and some get seeded at different levels but most do represent well and compete in every game. Remember for the most part teams aren't always placed in the correct brackets - that is why Got soccer points tend to screw up some tournaments And as the players get older you will see that the top 4 or 5 flights of showcase tournaments all have quality teams.

Just enjoy the f'kn games and get over yourself. You are not playing your daughter is and I'm sure she gives 100% every time she steps on the pitch for games or training. So show her you care and stop being an a s s.

With most of these players entering HS next year how many of your teams plan to take next fall off??

Anonymous said...

all of them @ U15

Anonymous said...

#1 in the state...LOL...you were #3 in the weak side of EDP,if you put both side together you about #7 so wake up///

Anonymous said...

Here is another troll looking to start an attack on another team. If you take the EDP North & EDP Central teams that finished in the top 3 you would clearly list the top 3 from the Central before any of the top 3 from the North & to suggest otherwise is just plain ridiculous. SJEB, Premier & Brick would always be ahead of Commack, GFA & HBC. SJEB did lose a game to GFA this season but Brick has wins over GFA & New Hyde Park which are 2 of the top 4 in the North according to the standings & a win over SJEB as well with only a loss to Premier. If you are going to attack a team don't make it personal just stick to the facts & to suggest if you combined the 2 divisions that a team would be 7th make sense. As far as #1 in NJ I think someone already said you can go in a couple of directions with SJEB & Brick being the favorites & PDA being another but you cannot compare them because there are no common opponents. Seems to be a lot of jealousy in that State which is why you as a State get attacked on here.

All of the teams headed to U15 will take the fall off due to high school soccer season with most playing in a few tournaments in the late fall. Only exception will be PDA and MF ECNL teams as they will not allow the girls on those teams to play high school soccer (just like to boys academy teams). It s a shame those girls will miss out on a great expierence.

Anonymous said...

Not true about HS at least I know MF allows them to play. Their season starts when HS season is over.

Anonymous said...

Same for the other ECNL club.

Anonymous said...

Change is coming next year

Anonymous said...

thanks for that misinformation...
PDA allows the girls to play HS

Hay brick guy don't count your ducks to soon. There is a tourny coming up soon. So before you open your mouth wide to pretend you are from outside of NJ ...slowly anticipate the foot I see it being surgically removed from way down deep. Be modest because when you are not you will put your players in tought predicament. Let's see if you make the finals.

Anonymous said...

Out of the 25 top teams in the nation four are below 50% win ratio, three of them from New Jersey. Go toot your horn somewhere else.

Anonymous said...

I get the terrible feeling that most of you do not watch soccer other than when your child is directly involved.

PLEASE just enjoy the game and stop with the chest pounding.

It's ok to love Little Sally and her team. Do you really need to be the statistician for this board? Checking the win % of the Top 25? TOO MUCH time on your hands.

Kill yourself, and get of your jealousy already.

Bricky why so bitter spend so much time on blogger and twitter,
% wins and losses
Goals for goals against
Hear the drumming of chest,
That was then and this now
Listen closely don't have a cow
Under 500 is where you are
Need to win win win and yet son far
That's okay winter is near
Need not act so freaking queer
So quit your fussin and cut your cussing because your girls are good but you are nothing the true coach is at your side remember that while at your local dive

Anonymous said...

But we won 4 out of 9 games that makes us # 1...

Anonymous said...

Wow, you wrote a poem?! Lol! You've got it worse then we all thought. I PRAY you are a player and not a parent, because you are the biggest child here. If you're an adult, you need to be locked up before you hurt yourself or others. Lmao!

Anonymous said...

Still don't understand the Brick references? I see a post claiming a few teams including Brick could be considered the #1 team from NJ & it causes hysteria. Don't believe it's from Brick as they aren't on here saying we did this or that because they don't need to looking at their history which I'm sure they're pretty secure with where they are as a team but clearly the people that follow them so closely are not. Personal attacks clearly are out of nothing more then jealousy that people talk about them & clearly not their team. Why not mention your team so we can all dissect what your team does & see what level of success your team is having. NJ has a couple of teams that represent well with Brick being one of them so get a hobby. NY, PA, MD & VA you don't see this type of behavior from it's teams which is why NJ takes a bad rap from the rest of the Region. NJ cannot even get along which is why they don't produce a Regional powerhouse which is shame as there is a lot of talented players there. Glad I don't live in "the Garden State."

I ride the train to work everyday & read this blog & cannot believe the time people have to bash a team they know nothing about or stalk a team by looking up them on Got Soccer & follow them on a Twitter now. This is what is wrong with youth sports these days parents who ruin things for their kid & their own team by constantly embarrassing themselves every time they come on here. My team also has been mentioned & dissected really for no reason other then someone cones on here pretending to be from the team bragging just to then sit back & watch the attacks. We have to be smarter people because now we are being laughed at by the neighboring States. We here in NJ have a bunch of good teams & it doesn't matter who you want to put #1 as you can make the argument for a few teams based on this Fall season. Stallions won the State tournament, SJEB was won enough to be ranked #1 by Got Soccer & could win their EDP flight still, GFA has beaten SJEB this season at a tournament & Brick has done well this season by beating all 3 teams. You can go the route of PDA is still PDA they just play different teams & maybe if they entered would have win the States again? Relax & stop embarrassing yourselves, your child, your team & our State.

Copa COPA COPA!
Brick and GFA at NEWSS they will lose every game and get their butt kick.
Do not know why our team is not there! We do great with high level competition. Motivation is a big factor in our team.

Thanks coach,the post's at 5:09 and5:23 priceless...
Try and get some sleep,it might clear your head

Anonymous said...

Actually I thought the post at 5:23am was a good post as it points out how crazy some parents are when it comes to their child's team but what's more disturbing is the fixation on another group of children's team. Why anyone would be so obsessed to follow another teams daily activities is beyond me. I too believe there are a couple of really good teams in NJ in this she group but I really hope that these parents that post aren't on any of them as I can see why from outside the State we look like the cast of the Jersey Shore. Good luck to the NJ teams competing in their upcoming tournaments & let's try not to hate going into the holidays, just a thought.

Actual Top players will be going to ecnl teams, tough decision for ecnl having to cut players from the team which been there for many years. "We been here from u9, paid $15+k plus all the travel expenses. You can't cut my daughter. I was told she a Top player and told all my friends this"; will be spoken from several parents. Does not matter what teams did until now, u15 teams will look much different with different players & rankings.

Anonymous said...

That's one of the crazy parents so good luck where they go

Anonymous said...

November 20, 8:24am.

Sorry to burst your bubble, Skip, but try this on for size. Not only do the ecnl teams allow their girls to play hs soccer, but they did so well with their hs teams that six pda ecnl players were selected to play in a national hs all star game. You can look it up. Must be all political. How's that for missing out on a great experience?

EDP Scores from Today :
Real 5-1 over NJX...What happened to NJX and why the decline?? NJX has been blown out in at least 60% of their games to date including tournaments. Not a NJ Top 10 at all. I would say more like a 15-20 ranked team now.

Any other updates from today?

Leaving Copa is a positive change but to PDA? That would negate the move. More money, travel and roster size accpanies by less training and development. PDA is. A showcase experience for the u16-17. Joining them now would mean regression or stagnant- Static growth. No doubt they have an ECNL tag however isbit really worth? We know there are other options like STA, Stallions etc...but if you think youbwere unhappy with COPA, PDA is not far from making you relive those negative moments on the side line. Especially with large roster sizes.

Anonymous said...

Stallions 0-4 @ CASL. Long way to go the lose all 4 games. Again NJ not strong again at tournaments outside of NJ. L 1-0, L 3-0, L 1-0 & L 4-1 to finish in last place giving up 9 goals & only scoring 1.

Anonymous said...

Again another fool who misses the point.
It is a showcase for players not teams.

Anonymous said...

What players got showcased in the 2nd flight @ U-14 on the losing end of games? Hard enough to get someone to look at U-14 players in general but 2nd flight from the team that came in last, yeah they were looking at those players keep telling yourself that. Free vacation for your coach though.

Anonymous said...

Which players showcased themselves the forwards that didn't score or the defenders & keeper that got scorched for 9 goals in 4 games? No need to travel that far especially to end up in last place & winless in the 2nd flight. Should have saved the money & trip.

just have to go to long island next weekend

Why bash NJX?

Every team plays a bad game every so often.

Who cares?

Real is a team that is good and getting better.

Anonymous said...

I would explain it to him...but I'm not the jackass whisperer.

Anonymous said...

NJX comment seems out of the blue. They were bashed in the past because of the coaches but no one talks about them now so not sure why they are being brought up now? Real is a nice up incoming team that if they stay away from the pitfalls of the chest beaters before them they have a chance to continue to improve.

Anonymous said...

Have to love the brick guy ...he knows all....lucky is going to snow this weekend

So many random comments that don't even go together? Somebody needs to call AA & make sense when you take the time to post.

Freehold is better than real and better than lost trama in NJ. Only barons Maybe are better.

Anonymous said...

I cringe when I see a parent wearing a big black Copa jacket on a sideline. Let's face it, it's a Copa parent responsible for the majority of the crap on this blog. Putting down other teams, criticizing ecnl, ripping apart Brick's coach ( and no I'm not from Brick ) - and let's clarify- it's a Copa father atleast let's hope a mother wouldn't stoop to the level of what transpires here. No one wishes ill but you big mouth. And no one wears big jackets with obnoxious letters on it but you on the sidelines. Shut up already.

Anonymous said...

Copa or Freehold parents as they are the only ones who been to have an inferiority complex in this she group as they are always worried as how they are viewed so they have to tell everyone they are a top team because no one else believes they are.

Anonymous said...

Agreed most negative posts most likely do come from parents of either team for the reason stated. They stir it up to get people to either defend or attack other teams because of their own place in this age group. Freehold has been on the way down & now Copa is joining them as GFA & Real are on the way up. They should concentrate on their own team as the rumors are that a lot of Copa's players are looking for new homes.

Anonymous said...

freehold is number 10 in the state and still one of the top team for long time now! not going down anytime soon.

Anonymous said...

U14 is NOT a showcase age. No one cares about U14.

Anonymous said...

Clearly shows you Freehold parents all over this blog as no one else would declare Freehold a top team nor defend them with such passion. Freehold is hardly ever in top flights of tournaments & when they are they don't do well. When they have been placed in the 3rd & lower flights they still haven't won which at least Copa can say they have. Top 10 in NJ doesn't carry as much weight as you would like to think as stated before outside of the State teams only really know 3 NJ teams as they make top flights consistently & have been playing teams from outside the a Region for years with mixed results but they at least compete. This is the problem with you guys as you don't hear the #10 team from NY, PA, MD, VA or MA proclaiming we are a top team, embarrassing for NJ. Last couple of tournaments not much to show of in the way of results but you can believe what you want to believe & the rest of us will live in reality.

IGFA is the new #1 in NJ

Anonymous said...

1:35 just a troll.
IGFA will be humble and work hard everyday. lots of teams are better than them and we are fully aware of it. respect for all teams out there. now please go back and lets focus on great Freehold or Copa

Anonymous said...

COPA is better than IGFA players will come to tryout soon.
Our coach told us already that lots of players are interested in coming to COPA including IGFA ones. We have a better team just bad luck this season

Anonymous said...

Freehold is SEVENTH in their EDP division with an under .500 record and negative goal diff. That hardly makes for a team being top ten in the state. It's so embarrassing for them that they keep opening their mouths on this blog.

It's clear Freehold, Holmdel, Stronghold and PA Rush need to be dropped to second flight for the spring.

Anonymous said...

Hey 5:57...your statement is the exact opposite of the truth. 2 Copa players came to "tryout" for IGFA this week. Not taking a shot at Copa...just stating the facts.

Anonymous said...

9:32 a troll, is not true. Copa players are very compact and all focusing on the project with their own team and coach. please leave it alone. Stop

Anonymous said...

IGF how many on your team now?

Anonymous said...

GFA has large roster, girls want to play there. YES number 1 in state, the talking is done, now walking. Rest of you can go home, play under .500, try out for our team! We are here, Number 1 baby!! All Day! Rome was not built in a day, but those two coaches have completed it.

Anonymous said...

11:43 you clearly want to create problem. there is no gfa guys here you only want to create weaves.

GFA was not talking when everybody was saying that the team was not good enough t, that there were younger players, that the best player left, that they were going to fold and blah blah blah...

now still no comments , only "let's keep working" message.

11:43 go ahead and attack Brick or some other good teams there that are trying to build something good with young girls.

maybe somebody will take your bait but you should be ashamed

Anonymous said...

love GFA, they have been bashed on here. too many times, they deserve it, no matter what 12:21 is trying to start with 11:43
