MF no draw this year,if they get some players and prove they can win maybe next year,,,,

Anonymous said...

1:39 "FAMILY" no such thing. Till the next best player comes along or the grassis greener over there! There is no commitment from either side the player(parent) or the Team. That is the problem with youth soccer!

Anonymous said...

Yes, that is the main problem, lack of commitment from all involved. The evidence is that currently many of the top tier teams are experiencing problems, more so than ever. Takes away from the entire experience for all involved, most importantly, the kids.

Anonymous said...

Hummmm....Are the top teams where the players are that are committed to the game?

Anonymous said...

Maybe, until thier kid isnt getting enough playing time or doesnt start or isnt in the position they think they should be....

Anonymous said...

"That is the problem with youth soccer!"

If you want your kid to play with the best players how do all the best players get on the same team?

Some have to be let go. SO if Clubs/teams are looking for the best players to be in one place to satisfy that need. Isn't it normal for kids to leave and look for the right fit also?

Why is that a problem?
You don't want commitment or loyalty do you?

That would be like saying a club coach also coaches ODP and selects all the players from his/her team. Lots of better players wouldn't have a spot if that was the case - thank god that doesn't happen for real.

Anonymous said...

Too many drink the kool-ade.

What is wrong with youth soccer in NJ?

How about all of you?

You live through your daughter, you never achieved any success in sports when you were a child.

Or you may be a troll on this blog trying to stir things up?

Maybe it is the second rate coaches at 2nd rate academies (really just a club) who milk you at of money to support their life?

It isn't the players, a lot of talent in NJ! Enjoy watching my daughter and her team compete against good teams week in and week out.

Find a place for your daughter, wether it is a top team like PDA Splash or a top edp team like Brick or a town team that competes at JAGS level. They should all be challenged to get better and the games should be competitive each week. Training should be quality. But they have to love the game, that is the impetus to it all.

Players will leave and often come back to many teams, you will see. On the top teams, only 11-14 players will see any significant time. That is just the way it works. That is why there is constant movement. Oh yeah, and where a parent thinks that her daughter is better than she is, and she is on a top team getting 5 min a game or plays on the 'b' team getting beat by teams she used to play for long ago. Funny how that works.

Are there any current U14 PDA players that are playing up right now, but will need to go age appropriate next year? They would probably bump Splash girls and cascade down.

getting warmer with force.......

Anonymous said...

DOO - KM - Wildcats

Anonymous said...

Wildcats it is...we where there....left after their only passionate trainer coach left....happier now..fortunately grass was greener...can't believe how people stay their...training is low quality

Anonymous said...

Second Tier Academy has petitioned the youth soccer gods to go back to 8 v 8 so they can have enough players. What a joke of an organization.

Anonymous said...

Whatever - tired of hearing you bitch about them. Move on already. If you left them behind to wither and die, so be it - nobody cares what you think of STA because you are obviously biased.

Anonymous said...

Where can they even play 8v8 at U13?

Anonymous said...

anyone that would want a U13 team to break up is either mentally unstable or still upset because their daughter was asked to leave or wasn't good enough to continue on. I hope all the good teams stay together so my kid has better games and is tested on the field.

Anonymous said...

I think it was sarcasm. But there's another whiner with a personal grudge with Force that says they are losing players (not loosing by the way - people need to know that). Maybe they could start a new league of smaller teams. Again - sarcasm. Tired of the Force grudge too.
Player movement and changes on teams will always cause some bitterness, but let go and just support your daughter and her team. Think for a second about just one nice player on the team you spew vengeance on - do you really hope she has nowhere to play? Let go already and wish the best for the girls - even in the program you hate.

No one cares about the FARCE -- FORCE...Current coach is a cartoon who has no soccer knowledge...if the parents haven't figured that out that shame on them...If new players go there and you have visited this site ever....than shame on you to put you daughter in that situation.

Anonymous said...

Second Tier Academy the truth hurts. All you are is a well marketed youth travel team charging $2500. After this spring you should just play 5v5 futsol. The truth hurts.

Anonymous said...

The Force is a good team with a bad coach. That will be fixed. You cant take anything away from the team or the Academy.

Anonymous said...

Hit the nail on the head with that statement!

Anonymous said...

How will the Force be fixed again, didn t they get fixed last year

Anonymous said...

Is there truth to rumor that STA players are going to MF and the MF players asked to leave are going to STA?

Anonymous said...

Kinda like castration after a vasectomy? One last desperate measure.

Anonymous said...

April 25, 2014 at 8:39 AM

Keep popping out siblings for your second tier academy. This is the only reason your daughter is still there$$$$$

Has nothing to do with your daughters talent. Any game will be challenging for her.

Keep gulping the kool aid while causing problems with other parents in your club!

Anonymous said...

A few years back there was a prediction that STA was the Titanic and everyone should jump ship before it sank. SEEMS LIKE THAT WAS ACCURATE!

Anonymous said...

Well said 12:25. Is it true Second Tier Academy are playing Northern Counties next fall?

Anonymous said...

11:40 it's no different then changing a player. The team is the team. Anyone with half a brain can coach the Force. Thats why the old coach is going.

Anonymous said...

Quickstrike was approved membership to NYCSL NPL.

They will be replacing someone? I don't think they will go to 17 clubs, unless they are adding others?

Anonymous said...

The current Force coach doesn't have even half a brain. No one is bashing the players, the are a solid group of players. The coach has no clue, it is obvious. They do well despite his shortfall's, lack of knowledge of the game, actually lack of everything. The guy is nothing but a troll, milking parents out of hard earned money, with lies and deceit. WAKE UP PARENTS!!!!!

Hey ask him about the Ocean tournament several years ago....???

It looks like you are the troll.

Anonymous said...

Did you ask him? Or is that you responding, troll!

Anonymous said...

Who cares? Not anyone who isn't you so stop wasting our time. If you genuinely care about the current parents, waste your own time and go talk to them at their games. Otherwise you bore us - go away with your petty hurt feelings and bitter refusal to move on.

Barons tie NJ Wildcats 1-1. That hurts

Anonymous said...

Barons obviously struggling this spring. Heard they had more than fifty girls at tryouts though. Expect they will get back to performing better if they make the tough decision to make cuts where needed.

Anonymous said...

This spring, The Barons beat PDA Splash 1-0, IGFA 4-1, Real 3-1, LVU 1-0. Two ties with NJ Rush and Wildcats and a pk shoot out loss to Real. Maybe other teams are just getting better, ever think about that?

They have six girls going to high school next year so it's definitely a key tryout season for them. They had 50 kids but they're keeping a B team this year...I guess they're following money grab model of PDA.

Anonymous said...

NJ Rush, Real, NJ Wildcats have all improved over the last year as my daughter has played all these teams. Teams ranked 1-15 in NJ can beat each other on any given day! I heard the Barons and Wildcats game was a very good match and well played, which as a parent you want to see at this level and moving forward. Good luck to all the teams the rest of the spring/summer.

Anonymous said...

Just wondering, any try outs this week, or are they all done?

Anonymous said...

Real classy today Copa. 8-0. Is it fun to humiliate 12 year old girls?

Anonymous said...

Jersey Spartans Girls 0-8 New York SC

Anonymous said...

Copa had to match NYSC score as they are fighting for 1st in NPL and looks like it could come down to goal differential.

Copa finished NPL now with 4 wins and a 3-3 tie with NYSC. NYSC still need to play Manhattan and TSF who Copa beat both 2-0.

Interesting other side of NPL bracket. Barons have now tied both NJ Rush and NJ Wildcats. Any one of those teams could win it and play off against Copa or NYSC for a place at the NPL Champions Cup in NC in July. All NPL winners U13-U17 play that tournament.

PDA Madrid currently 1st in NE NPL and STA doing pretty well in NY NPL.

NJ could be well represented there in the summer. That would be great for everyone, hopefully even the haters on this blog.

Anonymous said...

If there were 8-0 games, whatever genius put together these so called "elite" divisions should be thrown to the wolves. Not helping anyone involved!

Anonymous said...

here we go again US Club soccer with their exclusive- meet our stringent standards and you too can play in our EDL 'NPL' status league; kinda of like clubs here in NJ.... the more leagues you have the more diluted polluted the pool becomes & mismatches abound.
But hey I'm told it will all make sense after a some time.

Anonymous said...

There are blow-outs EVERY week in the ECNL. It's not just NPL that have this issue.

Anonymous said...

They have these issues because its a highly flawed model. Been saying it for a year now. The "everybody's in" club model is a fail. Teams shoudl be accepted on indivudual performance - not membership to a club. And it should be reevaluated every year. What's the repurcussions for this team that is getting blown away? Or for any non performing ECNL or NPL team? Ridiculous

Anonymous said...

IGFA 2-0 win over Real

Anonymous said...

SJEB 1 - Brick 1

Anonymous said...

TR beat NJX 1-0 on Saturday. Heard NJX players are moving on to other teams/tryouts, as they had enough of LC and her daughters playing all the time with a select few that Coach M is best friends with as well. Team will not make it to U14. Sorry Mommy coaches & Dad.

So what's wrong with posting scores right after a game is completed? Isn't one of the benefits of a soccer blog to know game results as soon as they actually happen? Would you feel better about your team's loss if the poster waited still tomorrow or should there be some predetermined mourning period that would be suitable for your tastes? There's a lot of people who want to know the scores of these games that don't have a daughter on either team. Welcome to the world of smartphones and instant information.

Anonymous said...

All te top teams including PDA and MF will be losing and gaining players.
The two mentioned above will lose players to each other and to other top clubs because parents think their DD is Better than coaches or trainers think, they are unhappy with play time, etc.
The other top clubs will lose players to each other and to PDA-MF because they think they can get more exposure for thier gilrs division 1 college which they are CERTAIN will happen if only they had better training, coaching, etc.
The lower level teams(your local town travel team) wil lose players to the better clubs because their daughters don't want to play with payers that don't come to practice, don't want to play good tournaments, and have too many weak players.
My point is every team is going to lose and gain players.

Anonymous said...

Can someone please respond to my post regarding non performing ECNL and NPL teams and their plan to address this glaring issue. What competitive league dosent address this? How many seasons before their thrown out? I pay this exorbitant money to see my daughter play at the highest level, some teams are not cutting it.

Anonymous said...

Some will stay some will go, who cares?

Tryouts start much too early in the spring season and causes a lot of unnecessary bull$hit.

There are a lot of sleazy coaches out there, mostly at the. so called academies, who cares?

The only ones that should care are when you daughter plays for one of those loons, you are the ones paying them.

My daughters team beat your daughters team this weekend...Who cares?

The players care and compete, but they get over it and look to improve for the next time they step onto the field.

Many parents and coaches are over the top, who cares?

Just stay away from my daughter, she has no interest in your looney behavior.

NJ has some very talented teams and players at this age group. Who cares?

All of us should care, a lot of very good competition at all levels, top to bottom. very lucky to have as many quality teams as we do in NJ.

Anonymous said...

Did MF announce who made their ECNL team? Wouldn't they want to lock up those players in April?

Same with PDA?

Outliers like COPA, STA can then grab the ones that didn't make those teams????

It is all just a business! don't you get it, you daughters are just the commodity that keeps them running. And they will trade up for better players all the time, no question about it!

Anonymous said...

Couldn't agree more with 10:43, we are fortunate to have so much good competition at our door. And "my team beat your team". Bragging is stupid. if the games are close a one or two goal differential be happy your getting a good competive matchh. Most other areas of the country have it VERY different. A few high level teams then nothing.

Yikes, I thought that that team was OK, but all teams will have player movement. Normal at this age group.

Anonymous said...

1030 Here is your reply but not the one you are looking for.
If you are a top ecnl team, you don't care about the bottom dwellers in your division because there will be enough good competition at the top half of your division and also throughout the showcases you will be playing in over the course of the year. Just make sure you make it to nationals and then you get to play in another exciting venue with awesome exposure. It's actually good for team development to play some games that allow coaches to try different things and to play players who haven't had as much playing time.
The truth probably is that your daughter plays on a very good team but the rest of your club is not very strong and you are looking for inclusion. Maybe it will happen, maybe it won't. Good luck.

Love this post from another board spot on,,,

Here's a few simple questions to ask to know if your daughter will remain an elite soccer player and have a chance at D1:
Does she she wake up in the morning or come home from school and want to do a run?
Does she ever say, hey dad, take me to hill so I can run some hills?
Does she walk to fields or ask to be driven to fields so she can shoot, dribble and juggle on her own?
Does she ask to go to a gym or at home do strength training?
The key thing here is does she do it on her own and not have to be told or pushed by her parent. If you have to make her do it or push her to do it, then there is a good chance that other things will start to become a bigger priority than soccer. If she has the motivation to do these things when no one is watching that she has a shot.
When I think about elite atheltetes I always think about Larry Bird who was not a gifted athlete but had a work ethic like no other waking up at 5/6 AM every morning to training and shooting 500-1000 free throws every day. Nobody else sees if your child has that "it" but if they are not motivated and driven to do things when nobody is watching, than they probably do not have "it" but if they are special in this regard, then you have to foster their drive.

Anonymous said...

To the ECNl dad above. I posted about weak teams and their repercussions for not performing. My daughter plays NPL on a good team so I am not looking for inclusion. Looking for competiton every weekend , don't look forward to driving 4 hours for a blowout. Not at these prices. And you think that "develops" the weaker players on the team? How will playing against a clearly inferior team develop them? There needs to be accountability for these underperforming teams. Perform or your out. I have seen the same type blowouts on ECNL so its not just an NPL issue.

Anonymous said...

who is trying out for dynamo?

Anonymous said...

2:07pm post

Yes, you can't teach desire!

Those who want to excel will work harder and on their own, as well as with their team. that is just a fact.

Teams at this age should be placed in leagues where the games are decided by 1 or 2 goals as the norm. Occasionally they need to play reach games to learn to play the game at a quicker pace (the higher level teams play the game at a higher speed) just a fact. Would want to see 8 - 0 games and why would any coach allow his team to win 8 - 0? that is a disgrace, period.

But I don't like the idea of too much strength conditioning at a young age, their bodies may not be ready for a lot of this type of training.

I took my U9 daughter to a U10 academy team tryout. First tryout day there was not even enough players trying out to field a team. Is that normal at this age?

-the "it" factor is imperative
-no one cares is true
-their are weak teams in every league
-its a business
-development is what counts
-jersey has a lot of talent
-mr.greed is looking for tuition
-tryouts during the seasons starts alot of chaos
-some parents and coaches are big concerns and major obstacles
****Should playing time be based on performance or on pay?
****Are to many substituitons in one game deadly to team chemistry?
****When should parents realize that the next level is not a good fit for their daughter?

I have a question . I have been lurking here for a while. I am a mom. My daughter is on one of those three letter academies, Where do we go from here if we are not happy. Not going to get into details but that post above struck me. What happens when u realize the next level isn't a good fit? My daughter wants to go back to her old team. In all good honesty she didnt ever want to leave. We thought she outgrew the team. Well, they seen to be doing pretty good without her lol. Do I bite the bullet and go back?

First look to you local travel team, (if your town or an adjoining town has a decent program). You shouldn't look to academy type programs until much later, will vary by player.

Most of the better Academy players started with their local teams, received in many cases very good training and learned the game....

Take the extra money and place in a fund for college...will be about $2K a year...

Just a couple of thoughts...

Anonymous said...

It depends on the team and the relationship that your daughter had with the coach/manager. If she left on good terms, it should be no issue going back to her old team. If you left on bad terms, that could be an issue. but in the end the coach should do what is right for his team and players. Hope it works out well for your daughter!

Anonymous said...

Take her back where she wants to play & watch her enjoy the game again.

lurking mom call the coach and talk it over. Most of the time parents move their kid because they think it's the right decision and because they say their kid wants the change. Most times those kids never want to leave the team but feel mom or dad want them to. Especially when all mom and dad do is complain about the level of play.

The Riptide are having tryouts for this high level team. Tryouts are May 6th and 13th @ 6:00 PM on Higgins Field in Old Bridge. This is a great oppurtunity to be a part of this amazing team. We play in JAGS Premiere and play in most major high level tournaments within NJ as well as Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Also we anticipate playing in San Diego and Florida in the next two years. We play in both Spring and Fall as well as indoors. Thank you all for your kindness and insight. It is a tough place to be for her and the family. She is a litle gunshy about going back because she left the team.. However we left on about as good of terms as you can in those situations I am sure the coach would have her back and she is friends with the girls so that's not an issue. The only issue I am having is with a few parents of our current team saying we shouldn't go back-it's a step backwards. But if she's not happy here what's the point. I don't even know if she will want to play past high school who really knows.?

Don't pay attention to the other parents. They should have no influence on your decision about where your daughter should play.

Go back and enjoy your daughters games and how happy she is/will be!!

You have no class, a coach comes on this blog to announce he is having tryouts for his team. Why do you have to comment?

They are a nice team, sure they are not an academy team but they compete at the correct level and are fairly successful.

Also nice that they are looking to travel to some nice places for tournaments, not sure why they chose those area's? But that is their choice as well....

good luck to them

PDA shore is for younger teams at this point, not really relevant for this age group.

Anonymous said...

4 players from where? Never heard of that team so I am guessing you are one of the four. Doubt Barons need more than a couple and there's possibly some age appropriate girls coming down from playing up on other / better teams. I'd make other plans.

Anonymous said...

Is TRIC staying intact or is the team becoming a PDA shore team?

Anonymous said...

TRIC is fine & don't need to do anything but continue to improve which they have done nicely.

Anonymous said...

PDA needs to take over teams that are established already and build on them at this age group. to try and pull together players from other teams just isnt going to work this late in the game.Example U-14 Bulldogs , Toms River, Brick, Jackson, Wall....

Anonymous said...

I don't think an established team that has a fair amount of success would become the PDA shore team....to just pay more to be "PDA"? No disrespect, I just don't think that would be worth it. I think Brick is doing fine on their own, doesn't need PDA. MHO

Anonymous said...

So not one TRUC or Jacson or Brick girl tried out for pda shore? Where did girls Come from?

Anonymous said...

Brick Fury is the new PDA Shore team and JH is the PDA Shore coach.

Anonymous said...

WOW. 10:45

I'm not sure if that is true or you are just starting rumors, either way, luck to the Brick team.

Anonymous said...

They already have one nutty coach at this age they don't need two.......not going to happen....

Anonymous said...

If that is true so much for a try out. He will move the whole team there.

Anonymous said...

Will PDA Splash or PDA Brick/Shore be the A/ENCL team or will there be a "new" ENCL team pulling the now available Brick players? ..sorry parents players 14-20...some of your kids will be going to one of the other PDA teams for future "development $$" but you can still brag to your friends about your daughter being on PDA ..was that a toilet$ flushing?

Anonymous said...

Wasn't Brick going to merge with Wildcats then it was the Force now it's PDS Shore? You people are too funny & why so much interest in what they do? Highly doubt that coach would do that.

Anonymous said...

If a child begins playing for an ECNL team at u13, you will be in for around 70,000 in soccer expenses by U18 so most of the D1 players get maybe 15,000 a year in Sports's financial aid. So you will be at a deficit of 10,000 plus additional 30,000 per year in tuition expenses. if you are lucky to get any money at all. Enjoy the ride!!!!

Anonymous said...

I would think that coach would never buy into ECNL (please get the letters in the right order). He holds firmly onto his JAGS kingdom and beliefs - never admitting he was the cause of its collapse in this age over his refusal to reflight teams.

Why would Brick go anywhere at this point, I don't believe that those parents would want to make that move...However, the strategic direction brought up of how PDA could expand tier roster and pull for Brick's top few players than for them (PDA) it could make sense.

TRIC to PDA shore is far fetched...PDA Shore is TRSA from which a lot of these players left due to the dysfunction that existed at that time with TRSA...So I don't see that team as an option either...

I don't think that Jackson is an option either...

I think the best bet would be the NJSA team moving over to PDA, why? Because it seems that Cedar Stars/NJSA is only really interested in the boys side, which is a true academy, as defined by US Soccer.

I'm having my daughter try out for two of the Academies in Ocean/monmouth NJSA or Wildcats?
What does everybody think of those two?

NJSA is a boys academy that will now go under the name Cedar Stars Academy, will be boys only.

NJ Wildcats...If you like a coach the yell at and put your daughter down and you want to listen to obnoxious behavior from parents at games, then this is the place for you.....

There are better options...listen to the previous posts, don't be one of them

N.J.S.A. at this age group is very week. The Town teams mentioned before are better options. They are stronger and have been together much longer. If it's true and Brick moved it will have to start picking up stronger players over the next couple of years to make this move worth while.

Can see why PDA would want Brick players but can't see them going there as it doesn't make sense. Don't really understand the JAGS reference as our team left to play in the NPL as other teams did so not sure why they think flighting had something to do with it? Got Soccer points & competition were the reasons. Sounds like someone who's team wasn't allowed to play with the big boys.

Anonymous said...

boring boring boring... can we talk about some prediction over SC games this week?

Anonymous said...

There is nothing to discuss there either. All leads to Splash winning it all next weekend. No challenger out there.

Anonymous said...

high level soccer is definitely big money but 70K is a bit much.
lets assume U13-U18 6 years
3K club fees @ 6yrs = 18,000
travel maybe another 3K (at most first couple years of ECNL are limited travel)18K
uniforms every couple of years 2K
generous est.
so far we are at 38K...how did you come up with 70K? Just because there is a tournament, you dont have to make it into a family of 4 vacation.
Just be lucky our kids dont play ice hockey. That is a whole different level of spending.

Anonymous said...

I think the brass at pda and MF thank god for people like You that think it's a perfectly acceptable amount of money to spend on girls soccer- for a SHOT at playing in college. And those who pay the same tuition for npl and being the forgotten step child ? Even sillier

ok say 38-70K not only for a "chance" at a scholarship; then you go pro too and "maybe" make 5-1ok more a year until the league folds again, then fast food cashier (makes 10-16K at minimum wage, better than NWSL!)

save the $ for college which is a better "investment" avg starting salary for 2013 grads $45,327

it is official Brick fury are now PDA team coming fall

Anonymous said...

No kidding.
It was announced earlier today here on this site.

Anonymous said...

i'll believe it when I see Brick girls in light blue. Not so sure about this. If it is true, many Brick parents got the wool pulled over their eyes.

Anonymous said...

Many of those brick girls originally came from trsa/trfc so it is closer for them.

Anonymous said...

10:08 is not a recognition from a parent is just some trouble maker wanting to cause some bashing to the player or teams, it is clear. Same troll all the time.
Nobody cares and i agree with you there are many good players out there; we should just let them play and develop and enjoy watching them growing

Anonymous said...

Agreed a lot if talented players in this age group. If it's the girl who wears a headband with her name on it I agree nowhere near a complete player but maybe with all that movement it's hurt her development? I'm sure it's a case if crazy parents who believe she's the next Mia Hamm. She has raw ability but it's the coaches job to teach her how to play correctly & grow as a player. I'm sure she'll be on the move again soon as I see it all the time with my kids when they played you would see kids on several teams before HS & they never reached what they could have been if they had some stability in their soccer life.

Anonymous said...

Can someone advise is the Brick coach a parent?

Anonymous said...

6:54 you wake up this early to come to this blog and talk about somebody else's daughter. Go back to focus on your daughter 's developing and leave other kids out of it. The administrators of this blog of course do not do anything about it.
Every team has good players that need development. There is no one that is already a complete player at this age, hell I watch the famous ECNL league games an there are players that still have a hard time stopping the ball.
Please leave young kids out of this BS and let them work and develop and have some fun in the process. I can start mention name or headbands too about many players in many teams but why?

Anonymous said...

7:17 do not start

Anonymous said...

Yes he is, and he is also the one that founded the team.

Anonymous said...

Brick coach founded team to inflate his ego always about him sad really....

Anonymous said...

I think he's also a Republican. Why are people so interested in coaches & players from other teams? Aren't your own lives interesting enough that you wouldn't care what other people do? Maybe get a hobby or 2. Most people worry about their own situation & not everyone else's business.

Anonymous said...

Clearly don't know coach because if you did you wouldn't cone on here hating. I know home for years now & it's never ever been about him which is why he is respected in this age group. Sounds like a bitter Betty. With so many coaches out there that only care about the dollars or their own recognition it's nice to see that there are still some out there that still do it for all the right reasons like my coach & the Brick coach. Our coach gets mentioned on this blog & I'm sure by people that don't even know him just jealous if the 3 letters he represents.

Anonymous said...

If Brick coach does go to PDA that will make it easier to just send 1 bash instead if bashing this one then having to move on to another team or club. I can't believe people are still talking about this. I guess no one has any upcoming big games?

Anonymous said...

I agree this blog has become the National Equirer with this team is merging, this team is folding & they are removing this coach yet 9 times out if 10 it's all inaccurate information. Next it will be that PDA is run by aliens trying to corrupt the youth of NJ by soccer. People new subject please like State Cup predictions(without bashing) & upcoming games, tryout information etc.

Anonymous said...

who is the pda shore coach?

Anonymous said...

Are we back to that again? They won't even get out a team. It's really for the younger teams to develop to take up North. Why are you all so obsessed with what PDA does? If you're that interested them tryout for their teams if not move on. While your worried about other teams & clubs yours is most likely self-destructing in front if your eyes as over the next 2 years there will be a lot if movement maybe starting with your team.

Anonymous said...

PDA shore is for the younger ages... My daughter will be playing for them and she's 11....... You people need real jobs......

Anonymous said...

Some references made about JAGS - what is the actual story?

Seems like it's dwindling slowly - what gives?

Anonymous said...

Real jobs? How about A job.
C'mon son.

i asked about SC predictions in a constructive way at the beginning of the week and the only comment was that Splash will win easy.
then everybody went back to stupid stuff that nobody cares for.
who cares about a coach or a player ? lets talk about games , future competition etc

Anonymous said...

Can we get the person who predicted how nj teams would do this spring in their respective leagues to give us an update?

Anonymous said...

Splash will run away with SC. Not one team that is left has the depth to compete.

Anonymous said...

Not so sure about that. There have been plenty of upsets so far. A lot of hungry "up and comers". And there are always the equalizers-crappy fields and weather.

Anonymous said...

JH is just reading the blog and sitting back laughing at all you fools!

Anonymous said...

Beating a dead horse! This blog doesn't even talk about games or predictions anymore which was fun now it's attack this one & that one & worry about that person might do or self promote that you won an indoor game. Can we please get back on track with U-13 games?

Our team has played Brick for a few years now and I have had to communicate with their coach at different times and always found him to be helpful and an all around good person. Keep up the good work.

From my post on March 10, 2014:

"Why don't we move on and start talking early season picks for EDP divisions, Region 1 leagues, ECNL, Northeast girls, NPL's, State Cup . . . Something that could spark some debate over soccer rather than who's falling apart or who has horrible parents.

I see NJ doing poorly in NYCSL NPL - STA probably could pull off second place. NE Girls PDA might be NJ's best hope, but I think FC Stars will take it and ECNL will be the worst NJ showing where Splash will be a lowly third place.
Region 1 only has a couple NJ teams between both leagues and only the Americans might challenge - don't think they'd beat the south division though. All in all, nj may have a very bad spring in these top leagues.

The weaker EDP and EDL NPL are easy pickings for NJ and I see SJEB representing at nationals where they will be defeated.

State cup to Splash"

Looks right on for STA in NYCSL, Americans in Region 1, and may be right for NE Girls but that will come down to FC Stars/ CFC head to head in the last couple games. Madrid actually has the easy road there. Not sure how Splash is doing in Pre ECNL, but still say they take the State Cup.
Also think SJEB still has the edge in their bracket of the EDL to be decided this weekend - don't think Rush will beat LVU. SJEB not strong enough to win nationals this spring though - and they might not get past NYSC who should beat Copa on tiebreakers (at least I hope so).

All in all, I am pleased and surprised at how close I called it!

Anonymous said...

Pretty good predictions! Not easy to pick that many & be that close.

Anonymous said...

Don't you know it's standard procedure on here to crucify parent coaches? . Even though -as you say- they are the only ones who usually have the best interests of the kids and the team in mind. Not looking for a paycheck or upward mobility in a club. To many here they shouldn't coach at this age even though people who feel that way took their daughters to the same academies who now have ...parent coaches at this age group. . Funny ain't it.

Anonymous said...

Edl edp npl ecnl is all bus...means nothing let's see who is lingering around winning in regularly ...Splash this splash that splash has done zilch and that's a fact what have they won lately as it goes...nadadarnthing # state will not be by Pda

Anonymous said...

The call on PDA in NE Girls is the only gutsy pick. The rest are obvious unless the Barons just plain choke. Nobody there can really compete with them. Splash for nj cup - yeah really a stretch. Same thing for the Americans - only said they might challenge but didn't actually pick them to win. I guess STA is a decent call too as most believed they were crumbling, but isn't NJ Crush on top of their bracket in NYCSL NPL?

Anonymous said...

So who will it be? Please let us know.

Anonymous said...

Hey 3:49. Don't you know that of you have to pay high prices for coaching and training and for the letters printed on the jersey? If you don't it will be an inferior product. There will also be favoritism because we have no favoritism of players here at the academy. Not the managers kids, parent suck ups to coach, or donors to the club. NOOOO.

Anonymous said...

For those of you who are slower than others that was sarcasm above. ^^^

Anonymous said...

Splash playing NPL ,look on top draw web page

Anonymous said...

Topdrawer very inaccurate. They are posting scores for teams in games that they didn't even play. Not sure where they are getting them from.

Anonymous said...

Madrid is the NPL team, but it only says "PDA NPL" for team name by US Club, so Splash probably gets them by default since they don't recognize the team name.

Anonymous said...

look under rankings for u13 splash #7 all games played at NPL level

Anonymous said...

So what. It's a mistake. Nobody believes the site rankings anyway. Splash is still an excellent team.

Anonymous said...

That's makes Madrid #7not splash, now we understand, one roster and three teams. What a joke!!!!!

Anonymous said...

US Club predictions:
TRIC over Force in OT(coaching the difference)
Real over Freehold
STA over GFA in OT
Splash easily over Holmdel

Splash over TRIC
STA over Real

Splash over STA

Anonymous said...

You watch, IGFA will take it all !!!

Anonymous said...

Why do people keep saying Brick is going to PDA? Brick already announced affiliation with TSF which gives them a potential path to NPL.

Anonymous said...

Anyone going to the NJ Force tryouts tonight?

Anonymous said...

Won't be much @ Force tryouts as there are a lot if issues there according to the players that are going to other tryouts.

Anonymous said...

I plan on going. I didnt make the last one but I was told there was a big showing.

Except at 12 years old Tiger was already breaking 70 for 18 holes.

Anonymous said...

If ECNL teams are heading to Delco and it's so close, why isn't Splash? Anyone know how they are doing in pre ECNL this season? Seems odd they don't go to the same events as other area ECNL's.

Anonymous said...

7:09; you just want to start trouble . please leave it alone.
7:38: you are still 7:09 so please stop especially when you are focusing on attacking a 12 years old player. the administrator should do something about it but apparently they work only for somebody.
9;54: again stop and focus on your daughter development

i do not know why people enjoy to come on the blog and start problems . i do not think is funny and it creates so many issues all around. Why? what is the purpose? ruining images of other players /teams is a good strategy? are you miserable with your life that need to cause trouble to somebody's else's? one day is PDA then IGFA then Force then Wildcats etc.. etc.. you even reach out to Jackson lol. are you that desperate?

leave the girls alone please and i wish everybody a good weekend of soccer whatever the outcome is

If Brick is going to PDA, just that team is moving so the TSF relationship is unaffected. That happens fairly frequently, especially at the U11-U13 ages. Private/non town clubs takes a very good town based team to start a team.

Anonymous said...

10:27 poster- you are no better then the person you critisize!

Anonymous said...

What's the TSF affiliation about? Aren't they up North in Wayne? Are they known to have success anywhere? Do they have teams that are doing well? Why are all the up north places coming south just to expand for the money?

Anonymous said...

So it is ok for all other coaches and teams to bashed on this site, and for some reason you seek to protect the NJ Force coach? He is the one constantly on this site.

"I plan on going. I didnt make the last one but I was told there was a big showing"

This was posted by the coach...it is obvious

Do your homework on this guy...you will see...

Ask question to others that know, not him.

Smoke and mirrors...

I would not bring my own child to that try out! Would consider if RJ was to take over the team.

Anonymous said...

I'm not the coach and a few of my daughters friends were at the last one.

Anonymous said...

Unlucky for them

Anonymous said...

I don't know why anyone would leave NJ Force. They are a solid team and locked up region 1 for next year. They really can't have many roster spots and if someone did leave I'm sure it will get filled by an equally talented player from one of these many town teams everyone keeps saying is folding.
