This is a time when players develop a true love for the game and the focus is a little more intense, on the field and on the sidelines...

Why did they take PDA Barcelona out of the top bracket guess they didn't want them to beat Lyon

Anonymous said...

My guess is that Lyon wins the tournament and concedes 1 goal or fewer

Anonymous said...

My guess is SJEB pounds them in the first game and then we will stop hearing all the BS from up North once and for all.

Anonymous said...

Make that 3:30 that they will get pounded. Will be a long weekend for Lyon and they probably won't win a game.

Anonymous said...

My bet is that all teams get pounded by rain, and a surprise winner, Brentwood/Atletico will emerge.

Anonymous said...

It's not going to rain Hurricane Schwartz

Anonymous said...

I saw SJEB play and was not impressed, I haven't seen PDA play this year, but I can't imagine they are worse than SJEB and I am no PDA fan.

Anonymous said...

So who did you see SJEB play? And what exactly made them unimpressive?

Anonymous said...

Watched SJEB play NJ Wildcats and they were outplayed

Anonymous said...

Oh, you mean the game when SJEB shut out the Wildcats 1-0? I see, it was that game.

Nice try Wildcat parent, now go to your room and stay off this board forever.

Anonymous said...

Bragging about a 1-0 win over NJ Wildcats, really? That is so lame.

Anonymous said...

Not nearly as lame as saying you watched the Wildcats outplay them when they were shutout in the game. Did you watch the NJ Crush game too? Did the Crush outplay them in that game? It was the game SJEB won 3-0 at the Crush.

Anonymous said...

Who outplayed who? "they" could refer to either team.

Anonymous said...

SJEB, PDA, blah blah blah.... Just wait till Monday. Who ever is left standing after the EDP tournament can brag. Good luck to all.

Anonymous said...

Holster them pistols @ 8:03. You talking mighty loud for a little feller

Anonymous said...

cant wait till monday. lets start an anonymous wager right here.
pda to sweep top 2 brackets at u13.
clarkstown at u14

Anonymous said...

Sjeb shows up as the town team they are. Now please stop talking about how great you are. cant believe I was hoping PDA would win.

Anonymous said...

I watched Lyon Sjeb game it was a good game should have been a 2-1 game Lyons ways. Lyon still a good team Sjeb from what I saw has work to do on there team. They need a goalie their keeper let some easy goals in. They should have left Barcelona in the top bracket as well. Team from Canada has no business being there.

Anonymous said...

Lyons are a very average ecnl team. Shows how far below Sjeb are from the top tier teams.

Anonymous said...

SJEB parent throwing their own goalie under the bus, nice...

Anonymous said...

And what team does your snowflake play for. If they are not on Lyon or Sjeb. Let me guess Barcelona

Anonymous said...

@12:11I sure that was someone just trying to start crap.

Anonymous said...

Cant blame goalie for going scoreless in 2 games.

Anonymous said...

Barcelona Dad-
Stop complaining about your team already considering they were the only option you had! So give them some respect......oh wait, they just took your money with 20 players on the team! Barcelona was in the right tier, they have never been a threat to anyone. Enjoy!

Anonymous said...

Sorry, not even close thank god. From a very good LI team. Just tired of your bragging, time for you to sit back and realize that you are on a very average team. You sound like the vorhees parent from last year.

Anonymous said...

Haha, nice try as well. No bragging here, first post. I'm tired of all you idiots that think you know everything.

Anonymous said...

To funny. SJEB is like PDA Lyon and vorhees from last year blog.

Anonymous said...

Funny is this blog in its entirety, it shouldn't exist at all. Down right pathetic is what it is. My team this and my team that. It truly sounds like a 5yr old playground. A lot of this wouldn't be said if names were listed. That's a FACT!!! Consider that as the first thing EVER listed as a pure fact known and agreed by all on here!

Anonymous said...

@ 12:29 AGREED! This blog would actually be worth something if posters would be respectful of one another. It's okay if little Mia isn't good and its okay if Mia's team isn't good. Too much sensitivity.

Anonymous said...

That's nice agreeing with yourself.

Anonymous said...

Who is this Mia you are talking about?

Anonymous said...

the more anonymous we stay, the more agreeable this becomes! go mia! don't listen to parents' negative talk.

Bb said...

Take your pick Mia from sta or Mia from massapequa or Mia from Psa or maybe mia from Brentwood/athletics or the late mia ham now think hard before you open something you can't close

Anonymous said...

Mia is so good she would be a great addition to any of those teams. She can even play up for Maximus.

Anonymous said...

So now that the Lyon and baron debate is over with, can we get back to what this blog is really meant for? As a parent of a player that is not on an elite team, I want to hear about what is going on with the rest of the state. There were a couple meaningful tourneys this past weekend- parsippany and Ukraine. Anyone see any of those games?

Anonymous said...

PDA - Match Fit score is posted. Is that the score or just the max differential allowed? Either way...

Anonymous said...

Either way a mid table team of good players played a mid table team of good players and one scored more goals. Hope they all enjoyed the game.

Anonymous said...

MFA is always on twitter bragging for the dumbest little things. So today is the biggest day for bragging rights in NJ.ECNL clubs and they lost to PDA 5-0 and 2-0 at U13 and 1-0 and 4-0 at U14 AND they just forfeited the U15 game because they don't have enough players!!

Not a word on their feed...#wegotourbuttskickedtodaybyTHEPDA

Anonymous said...

MFA takes to twitter, whereas PDA parents take to anonymous soccer boards. A true sign of a well oiled ECNL propaganda machine.

Anonymous said...

Any thought on state cup now that semi finals are set? SJEB looks like the easy winner of it all

Anonymous said...

Seems like some jerk is messing with SJEB. Give it a rest!

Anonymous said...

YELLOW, baby.

Anonymous said...

SJEB is not that great, couldn't even beat NJ Elite in regular time.

Anonymous said...

Did I read that right? SJEB lost to Teysa? Oh my. All that trash talk, no wonder why you can hear the crickets on this blog.

Anonymous said...

It's a game any team can loose on any given day Sjeb PDA it doesn't matter the fact that you sit on your computer waiting to see a score shows what kind of loser you are. I am glad you can read.

Anonymous said...

9:20 - you are such a tool, give it a rest with stalking SJEB. Any team can have one of those days, it happens to everyone sooner or later. I'm sure if they played 10 more times SJEB would beat them 9 or 10. I hope they win the state cup so maybe you'll disappear forever.

Anonymous said...

@8:50

okay, I'm a tool for pointing out that SJEB lost to Teysa? Fact of the matter is the best teams in the south are still lagging far behind the best teams in the north. If I'm a tool for pointing that out, then whatever. SJEB might be the best team south of Trenton but that's not saying much since the next best team is PDA South. Both would get pummeled if they played up north. Lyon proved that a few weeks ago.

Anonymous said...

Anyone know the rules for promotion and relegation between division 1 & 2? Looked on EDP site but nothing found around this topic.

Anonymous said...

In the past EDP took the last place team from 1st division and the 1st place team in the 2nd devision and swapped them. Also depends on if the games where close, or blowouts. Their is some criteria that has to evaluated before the jump. You can also request as well.

Anonymous said...

looking for a quality futsal league for a girls team.
I was given this link to check out Central jersey Futsal League which is part of the US Youth Futsal League

Any thoughts would be appreciated

Anonymous said...

What's the story with Match Fit Pre-EcNL girl's quitting over lack of playing time? man you just can't win with some parents. They want their kids on competitive teams then when they get it, they quit?

Anonymous said...

Not with match fit but why are you discussing this here? Why don't you just ask them?

I moved mine to a large roster this year and am experiencing this for the first time. We are definitely rethinking the playing time sacrifice. For us we really had to experience it to understand the impact and guide the right decision for us going forward.

Anonymous said...

EDP has a futsal league over the winter. Good experience with them both boys & girls

Anonymous said...

2 follow up questions:

- what do you consider large roster
- how much playing time on a large roster do kids get?

Anonymous said...

20 girls. Everyone gets half a game. enough for some. others want more. imo every player should decide for themselves what is a a good fit. I make no judgement on someone else's choice.

Anonymous said...

A MFA kid that quit? Big deal, yawn. Plain and simple there are some middle of the road - to - back end roster kids who thought they were going to be real "players". Lots of hype but once the league games started, no sizzle. There are lots of kids on this roster who can't run and just can't thrive with the "speed of play" in the league has shown top to bottom. I have been surprised how good the soccer has been actually.

Good luck at STA, NJ ELITE, COPA, FC BERNA, PDA B/C, NJ CRUSH, NJ WILDCATS, NJ STALLIONS...Did I miss any?

Anonymous said...

Yawn if a superstar moves on as well. It is youth soccer. Find a good fit and play the game.

Anonymous said...

Could 1-7-1 have something to do with it?

Anonymous said...

Wasn't good enough. Even on a 1-7-1 team.

Anonymous said...

What is up with Lyons? Another tough weekend...

Anonymous said...

And another one coming up against WC. Should be a very good game.

Anonymous said...

It is obvious that Lyon was driven by the 2003's and that the 2004's are just not at that level.

Anonymous said...

Also so obvious that all the Lyon commentary on this board was driven by the 03s. Enjoy the peace and quiet and the soccer!

Anonymous said...

Youth soccer rankings back up.
http://youthsoccerrankings.us

Anonymous said...

Everytime I check a score, Villarreal loses and looks villa fake.

Anonymous said...

Sjeb has lost 4 games with tourny cup and so on. Who does your kid play for Lyon has lost a lot of games so far 5 in there league and Barcelona has played any real team to talk about.

Anonymous said...

After Lyon broke up in the spring they aren't worth talking about. Whole different team. And obviously not as good.

Anonymous said...

Agree, but still best team in state. Sad how weak this age group is. WC has a really nice team, place to be if you live in north.

Anonymous said...

Why are there so few teams with women coaches. Are there any teams in the top level of the state with a female coach.

Anonymous said...

The 2004 age group is extremely strong in NJ, the problem is the top tier girls got scooped up by the older teams. So now the age group is just average and the elite 04's are playing now with the 03's and 02's. This is why so many teams in this age group broke apart last spring.

Anonymous said...

In regards to the female coaching comment. NJ Elite has a phenomenal female coach and perhaps a couple of strong players short of a top 5 team in NJ. Amazing coaching, program and player development at NJ Elite with the amazing Dutch Total Soccer coaches.

As for all the PDA Lyon comments. Although they've had some negative results they are still the best team in NJ by far. They will turn things around as they have phenomenal young players.

Anonymous said...

NJ Elite is not even close to being a top 5 team, what have you been smoking?

Anonymous said...

Match Fit team has many issues. Players are sitting due to coach playing his daughters friends. Stay of away from this crap!

Why do teams spend outrageous amounts for tournaments when there are much cheaper options available? If it's because the more you spend, the better the competition, that's just a scam. All those same teams can sign up for tournaments and still get 3 refs and even some with 4 game guarantees for fractions of the cost of some of the edp tournaments and others like the Delco tourney. If a bunch of the high level teams just started joining together to play some of these more local tournaments, maybe it could send a message??? Or is those gotsoccer points so valuable because of the bonus those large tournaments provide? I would love to hear all of the opinions out there.

Anonymous said...

Points are not based on the tournament it self more what points the teams that are playing bring with them.. if u played a crappy tournament but all good team still played in it like u said then the points wouldn't be any different I believe.

Anonymous said...

Meaning that you get the same points value for a crappy tournament as you would from a high level tournament. So I see your point to play local cheaper tourny and just get better teams to sign up

Anonymous said...

I'd think that the reason to play the larger tournaments is to draw a large number of teams, preferably high quality teams from different regions. If you can draw these teams, the tournament should theoretically be a draw for any college recruiters to come and see a lot of players in a single weekend. It's not really applicable for U-13, but I am sure there is some sort of agreement with the larger clubs that they will bring all of their top teams in each age group to fill out the tournament

Anonymous said...

We have found that EDP tournaments provide a much higher level of competition than local events. The competition at the larger out of state events is no better than at EDP tournaments.

Anonymous said...

That rationale appears elitist and senseless. Your argument is basically stating that the only way to get college scouts to see your child is by paying a lot of money? corporate American classism and racism at its finest.

Anonymous said...

The rationale is that college scouts have a limited travel budget to see players and would prefer to use it on events with top teams from multiple regions to maximize the travel expenditure and time. Soccer is a pay to play sport in this country, particularly for girls. I don't see that changing any time soon.

I think any parent whose kid plays on a top team can complain about the massive cost related to soccer; particularly since the cost continually increases as you progress to the higher levels. I don't see any real alternative. My dd loves to play and wants to play at the highest level she can, so I pay.

Anonymous said...

The players with the talent and cash to play high level girl's soccer are fortunate. The lower income talent plays lower income options. That is the only real alternative.

Anonymous said...

As a college coach, I would be more inclined to go see a specific girl play in a tournament rather than go to a huge tournament and spread myself out only seeing 5 minutes or so of a player. It makes much more financial sense for a player to just attend camps where either they are held by the college or specific camps that several college coaches will be at. With only a few scholarships available, especially for girls soccer, we need to see more than a girl's skills and ability. Most of the high level girls are very similar. We also need to see their interactions with other players off the field as well as their ability to take direction well from different coaches and coaching styles. I normally only attend tournaments when I have personally had a player at my camp that caught my eye and want to see her in action outside of my training. That includes usually a personal invite to specifically come watch them play. That shows me they have an interest in playing for me at my university.

Anonymous said...

does being a top 5 on a top ecnl team and getting invites to all the nt camps help out too?
Or should I just forget about that route and take your advice?

Anonymous said...

You're on the right path. Glad to give her a look. Send me her 40 yard sprint times to #yourawhackjob

Anonymous said...

At my camps, I want to know nothing of what travel team you play for. They are to not wear anything with their team name and are to leave home any bags or apparel that have their team name on it. Regarding players at this age group, and youth soccer before high school age, high level travel often tends to be more for the money than it is on developing players properly. The focus on winning and traveling thousands of miles to brag about a league your team is in is not a great way to develop your players and parents arguing on a website like this doesn't make the experience better. I would highly recommend all players this age get into a futsal league and program. That is more valuable than any alleged academy experience as long as the coaching is solid.

Anonymous said...

Scary parents talking college about 12 year olds wtf get lives!

Anonymous said...

5:44 PM. First sensible thing I've heard on this site in a long time. Parents we should be all about developing our kids to be the best players and individuals. All these high level clubs/academies with their drama and constant roster changes are not about helping your kid get better. Especially when they want you to pay for outside training on top what they are supposed to do. Futsal is fun and helps develop the kids skills.

Anonymous said...

Of course you like what you wrote.

Anonymous said...

I heard the NJ Wildcats 2004 team left and went to Cedar Stars.

Anonymous said...

Maybe in a few years, some will get to play fee free.

Anonymous said...

West-Mont Montco Alliance in PA plays no high level tournaments and/or teams and is 3rd in the state on G.S? Step up and play someone instead of relying on EDP league standing points! (which is a joke) They would get crushed by 90 percent of the PAGS D-1 and D-2 teams!

Anonymous said...

Agreed. EDP league points pump up NJ teams in GS ranks. Most are mid-level quality at best.

Anonymous said...

Youth soccer rankings is much more credible. They are fairly close to spot on when measuring teams.

Anonymous said...

Which web site is that?

Anonymous said...

http://youthsoccerrankings.us/

Anonymous said...

Group got really quiet. So who's playing what tourneys in spring? Any out of state worth checking out that are cost friendly?

anon said...

anyone's kid did the ODP 2005 Young Olympian's tryout in NJ?

Anonymous said...

This is the 04 group not 05

Anonymous said...

I think the only tournaments our team is doing in the spring are Jeff Cup and the pre-ecnl tournament in South Carolina. I assume the spring is going to be an all out disaster with DA movements and players practicing with the team, so it should be fun..just like last year!

Anonymous said...

This age bracket will be at lower end of u14/15 age bracket, so probably only 5 or 6 girls making team or 25 percent of team.
So I don't see as much movement next year. Also don't think GDA will have their $hit together first year anyway.

Anonymous said...

2004 age is group is strong in Region 1. Lots of elite players playing up this year in the U14/U15 teams. Saw about 10 players that were standouts at EDP's PDP evaluation last Sunday. I assume most of those play up. Hard to tell. Interesting was the players were supposed to wear their Club jerseys. Lots of Pa, NJ and Virginia invited. Nice event. Unlike NTC where its just white shirts etc.

Anonymous said...

My daughter attended the 2004 EDP PDP event as well. Nice turn out for an invite only situation.

Anonymous said...

How was the competition compared to the NTC?

Anonymous said...

Have been doing NTC for a while, half the girls shouldn't be there.

Anonymous said...

Couldn't agree more about NTC. This months' NTC was a joke. The girls stood around most of the time. Only half the trainers were there. December brought in a new group that was added to the regulars. The regular players ran circles around them. Their is a core group of 13-15 players that would make one heck of a team. Funny thing is most of those players play up at U14 and U15.

Anonymous said...

I am sorry I missed the PDP event sounds good but I got a email that my daughter will still be invited to the next one and I plan on making that one. Just happy to hear it wasn't crap like some other things that I have been to.

Anonymous said...

I think it is typical that the players there play up. the player I know that goes to the camps is dominant playing up.

Anonymous said...

Do any of the ecnl club players participate in Pdp?

Anonymous said...

Yes they do. All the major clubs where represented, RUSH, PDA, SJEB, Pipeline, MF, WC etc. It was an elite event. You could certainly tell though who the more dominate players were.

Anonymous said...

Heard NTC is much higher caliber and that is where the best players from ecnl teams go. Usually PDA and MC will only offer their top two or three per age group, although many more should be there. I haven't heard of any ecnl players going to this from coach recommendations. Although my daughter didn't get recommended for NTC, have been told by several parents she and two others should be there based on level of play from players from other clubs. Believe PDP is for the ecnl clubs npl players.

Anonymous said...

Is the goal to go from Pdp to NTC ?

Anonymous said...

Question is whats the goal? National Team? D1 College? Either way both will help on that road beyond other garbage programs like ODP and Summer select. First and most important, PDP and NTC are free. Both are subsidized by US Soccer. Second, both are invite only. Invites are based on coaches who know who their best players are. If they send players not up to par then they will not be asked send anymore. PDP gets you to be truly seen for the next level beyond NTC, id2 camp. (Best girls in the region, show up for weekend of training and get showered with Nike gear etc.) The girls love it!! If you rock at that camp then your selected to go to another camp where the best national girls are sent. This is how the U14 National and beyond teams are selected. PDP is more camp selective. NTC can recommend for id2 as well but much harder. NTC evaluates at an earlier age and therefore watches the player develop. Both are great, if you just do one your fine, if your lucky enough to go to both, your chances are better to be chosen for camp.

Anonymous said...

NTC gives you much better visibility and exposure. They are run directly by natl team reps and coaches, including the current u14 coach who attends the training session. Not sure how Pdp can give you more exposure?

Anonymous said...

PDP is run by leagues. Was this an npl one I assume, no recent ecnl Pdp that I have seen listed.

Anonymous said...

Was just checking on the ecnl Pdp program and this is what they have listed for 16/17 year. Seems outdated based on age groups?

In 2016-2017, there will be eleven such programs taking place across the country, with every ECNL Club assigned to one either based upon their conference or their geographic location. The ECNL PDPs will bring together the top 60 players within the conference or geographic region for a weekend of training, competition, and education. Each ECNL PDP will include approximately 60 players: 30 from the 1997/1998 age groups, and 30 from the 1999/2000 age groups.

Anonymous said...

I was thinking the same thing!

A kid soccer team is relevant to the kids on the team, their parents, and any person making a living form involvement with the team. Sorry but no one else is paying attention to any kid soccer team.

It looks like we'll get a 2004 and a 2003 DA group next year:

http://lapremierfc.com/football/girlsacademy

Anonymous said...

Interesting.... All the best 04's and 03's will have to leave the older teams they play on. Don't see that happening.

Anonymous said...

11:00 - It would definitely be an issue for an '03 trying to make an '02-01 team, which would put pressure on the '03 to play for their age group. That would then put pressure on '04's with increased quality in the '03 age group. I think it's a good thing to break the groups apart, though. It will keep a lot more of the 04's in the DA system versus going a different route, at least for a year.

Anonymous said...

I doubt 04's play on 02 teams. Maybe one here or there. I assume this is not the norm.

Anonymous said...

NY NPL ... PSA looking for a few players at U13G. Practice is located

Anonymous said...

The DA team would have to be extremely elite to pull age appropriate girls from older teams. Typically if you play up the player is extremely good, and if you play up two years then your looking at a team changing player. Team changers are very rare. Team changer: Player that adds so much strength to a team it changes the entire dynamic of the squad.

Anonymous said...

DA wont have any players playing up

Anonymous said...

Yes, they are not looking for the one in a thousand, just want the girls to have fun and everything to be fair. And I'm sure the NTC won't bring any players up either, makes no sense. This is really just a replica of your town travel team. Stick with it.

Anonymous said...

DA will not have players playing up. But, the best players will not join a DA if they are playing up on successful teams with strong training. If your an 04 player playing up and that team is dominating everyone, why would you leave that team to join a DA that is not as successful in games and tournaments or offering better training. Now the criteria will change in a few years because the younger player will be without a team since the team will disperse at u18. Thats going to be crucial issue. You have these star players who played up and now are without a team. They will essentially gravitate to the next "best" situation. Problem is do they replace players during the showcasing seasons? Many issues are going to arise from the age mandate that come down the road in a few years.

Anonymous said...

The above comment is so off, not even worth responding. As the other poster mentioned, please stay with your travel program.

Anonymous said...

So you are saying a current 2003 playing up at 2002 would have zero interest in staying down in September to play ACADEMY soccer at '03/'04 level?

I think each case would be different.

I also dont know that DAs are to be prohibited from having players play up. Each club may develop own policies. I wouldnt think it would be encouraged but you never know with a very special talent

Anonymous said...

How do you blame a club and not a individual

Anonymous said...

USSF Promotes playing up.

Anonymous said...

US Soccer sent a letter to clubs a few weeks ago stating that 2003 and 2004 will be separate teams for the DA next year. I see no reason why an '04 or an '05 would be stopped from playing up a year. I think the issue for current '03's playing on an '02 team is that it will be a lot harder to make a 2001-2002 DA team, since those years will still be combined.

Anonymous said...

What are the odds cedar stars pulls off some strong teams next year? Im sure they will have tryouts well after PDA and pick up the ones that don't make it. Knowing my luck, it will be my daughter, this sport is so subjective. Maybe the reason why they are not announcing anything. If they provide it for free, they will increase the odds.

Anonymous said...

In NJ there is will be no dominate DA for 04'. The best players are spread all over the state and the parents are not willing to do the drive. The so called best players at NTC come from all over but that is only once a month. Most of those girls play up anyway. Not many options. Nothing will change. Tryouts this Spring will be small. Not manny are going to jump ship unless they have a nightmare situation going on.

Anonymous said...

January 25, 2017 at 2:13 PM

You are kidding right? You think kids won't jump at the opportunity to play for a true DA? You have to be a person who is opposed to the DA in general to say something like that. Do you also realize that saying something like "there won't be a dominant DA" is ludicrous? How will you measure "dominance" when all the DA's will be playing in their own league against other DA's? In year 1, (maybe it will take til year 2) there won't be a team in the state that will be able to hang with the DA's.

The bigger issue is, why would you even care about whether a DA is dominant or not? There will be plenty of opportunities to play at the college level for the kids who choose to play high level club ball, the DA won't have any effect on that.

Anonymous said...

I agree, not doing the DA until it proves itself. Time will tell, but I give it three years.

Anonymous said...

We are not doing DA either. By the time it gets going my daughter will be graduating HS. Talk about a pay to play scenario! LOL

Anonymous said...

Did CSA 2004 team get accepted into Jefferson Cup?

Anonymous said...

They are not listed, but who knows if they applied. Why are you so concerned?

Anonymous said...

What NPL Team doesn't apply to Jefferson Cup?

Anonymous said...

Glad we aren't going, hate that trip and refs are kids...

Anonymous said...

Jefferson Cup always has one of the most competitive flights of all Region 1 tournaments.

Anonymous said...

I would agree and take a step further and say it is the most competitive tourney. But, then again its all about experience. I would say its one of the best run. Much more organized then Bethesda.

Anonymous said...

Well run and using kids to ref?

Anonymous said...

Without a doubt one of the best run. I assume you had a bad experience with refs making bad calls against your team? For tourneys that size and that many teams it has to be a monumental task to find exceptional refs for all age groups. This is why they run the tourney over four weekends. Hopefully, next time the calls will go more toward your teams way.

Anonymous said...

Who do you think are the top 5 teams in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania?

So IG soccer academy will be called Liverpool now same crap teams they have now. Don't see many people wanting to join a team that plays very last bracket of EDP. It's like a Rec team

Anonymous said...

Nasty comment!

Anonymous said...

Not nasty just the truth.

Anonymous said...

IG has 2 teams that's it. 03 girls team very last bracket of EDP league 1 goal for 22 against. Numbers don't lie. Struggled to score one goal in the bottom flight says a lot.

Anonymous said...

"crap teams" is unnecessary - the choice of words makes the comment nasty. Could have wrote less competitive, less skilled, or unable to compete at level.

Anonymous said...

Agree, let it go dude, sounds like your daughter was cut from this team. What team are you on now?

Anonymous said...

This guy must have some nerve trying to come into this area to draw players for his joke of a program. Especially in this age range, where the local teams are cheap and well coached and the several academy teams he will be competing with likely would have low interest in him. And who gives a damn about the Liverpool name. What a joker.

Anonymous said...

Shut up. Let the guy make a living you loser. What team are you on? Back on rec?

Anonymous said...

Very poor 7:29.. very sad you are. shaming developing players, teams, and clubs!

I've never heard a bad thing about that coach. There will always be parents and players looking for an opportunity to be in positive developmental program and varying levels of play to join. Some of these bigger multi location merger clubs are simply talent collectors and not talent builders!

Besides! It's capitalism! Competition should make existing programs better in attempt to retain non "A-team" players.

And you are talking about an 03 team on an 04 blog because??? IG Liverpool whatever they call themselves now, actually has 1/2 a team that's good. The other half isn't as good. It's hard to make a team work like that. I saw them at the Copa tournament myself because I was curious as to what that coach was up to after he and voorhees parted ways. If he could replace the one half of the team and move some kids positions around they would be well suited. Maybe come try outs things will be different for them. I just feel bad for the decent players on that team. I could clearly see the frustration on their faces having to deal with the less skilled players on their team at that tournament. Oh well it is what it is. I just wish adults would use better words instead of crap team etc... what I watched was not a rec team. The game I saw they had many shots on goal vs their opposing team that day. But I guess if you play against a good goalie and you can't get by them you are labeled crap. Smdh. Glad my kid isn't on a so called "crap" team. Go PDA!

At 1103... you really just don't get it. The pay a fortune to play mentality is what keeps this country from being super competitive on the global stage. There is real talent in this country and when another pay a fortune to play comes up- especially for a lower level team, it takes away opportunities for players who can't afford it. It destroys the town team mentality and causes them to either disappear or give in to the powerful so called academy teams. This is the only country that this happens in- and holds back so many great players or prospects who just simply can't afford it. You may call elitist soccer good for your child- but it is awful for the growth of soccer in the country and no offense to mr lynch, but his programs cost is way way too excessive for the level they play at. Forcing a team to play edp just to say they play edp is nonsense and they should only play that level once they have proven they can play and dominate lower levels. The whole let's create a team and throw them to the wolves without even testing them is a pure sign that he isn't about the growth of his players- and really only about the growth of his checkbook. I would rather have my child play on a local town team then ever wasting my money for this experience. I can really go further into this but I am afraid you would too too irrational and not see or understand the big picture. And yes my daughters town team is very competitive.

SJEB and Rush are merging at younger age groups starting next year.

Anonymous said...

What a beautiful weekend to have been outside playing soccer! Looks like a whole week of warm days to follow! Who is ready for spring season to begin!!??

Anonymous said...

Say word

Obviously still a lot of animosity between Voorhees people and ex-coach now with IG/Liverpool. Sad bunch of parents, just let it go people.

Anonymous said...

How was the turnout?

Anonymous said...

Voorhees still getting slammed on here even after their team dissolved. What ever happened to those girls?

Anonymous said...

They are still top 20 in GotSoccer go figure

Anonymous said...

Was wondering what that was all about. It's over, let it go vorhese.

Anonymous said...

10:27

A bunch of the better ones went to SJEB/Rush. The head guy and few others went to PDA South.

Anonymous said...

Let me guess, your daughter went to sjeb

Anonymous said...

In a few years it will be PDA and Cedar Stars as the top teams at this age group.

Anonymous said...

What do you mean top teams?

Win the most games?
Win the most tournaments?
Have the most got soccer points?
Get the most college money to any college?
Get the most college money to a college the player would like to attend?
Use soccer to help get a kid to quality academic college?
Offer a quality soccer experience by breaking the bank?
Offer a quality soccer experience and not break the bank?
Help a kid develop their character?

What are you saying and why?

Anonymous said...

Style and level of play.

Anonymous said...

Why would say that?

Anonymous said...

With SJEB and Rush merging, the new 04' team could be lethal. A lot of strong 04's in South Jersey. The SJEB team is already good, adding more firepower will only improve an impressive squad. I have a feeling some past teammates may be reuniting. Should be interesting to hear who makes the new squad. They will have a big pool to pull from.

Anonymous said...

Saw SJEB play this past fall, average team.

Anonymous said...

I will take average any day of the week. Usually people say a team is horrible on this board. Regardless, should be interesting to what happens. They won't get the elite 04's in the area but they will improve to say the least. Happy for them.

Anonymous said...

@11:22 When did NJ Rush get an 04 team.

@12:22 so what team will the south jersey area's 'elite' 04 players be on?

What is the difference between an elite player and a very good player?

Anonymous said...

Rush does not have an 04 team, any 04 players play on their 03 team. With the merge Rush officially has an 04 team now.

Not sure what the other post was about but in my opinion the elites are the players in the area that are extremely good. NTC players who play on 03 and 02 teams and are play makers. In soccer age does not always define ability.

Anonymous said...

Nj rush has a 04 team for the spring season

Anonymous said...

The team is scheduled for only three games?

Anonymous said...

Is anyone playing this weekend? If so, what's it looking like? Any big names or really good teams?

Anonymous said...

FC Europa cup this weekend. Some very good teams in the top 2 divisons. Should be good soccer.

Anonymous said...

9:54

Which teams are you referring to in the Europa Cup?

Anonymous said...

probably teams not as good as your daughters team.

Anonymous said...

At FC Europa Cup...Philly Coppa Swarm, Hulmeville, PHWM SC Red, North Union, FC Rev, PA Rush, Valley Voodoo, FC Europa, Harrison Dynamite to name a few in top 2 brackets.

Anonymous said...

Which are the very good ones?

Anonymous said...

My bad, didn't realize this was only an ECNL blog.

Anonymous said...

That Europa cup turned out to be a great tournament. You should have seen how Mother Nature just dominated everyone and took all those gotsoccer points with her.
