U13 Girls Youth Soccer

This is a time when players develop a true love for the game and the focus is a little more intense, on the field and on the sidelines...

@7:10 what's the matter your daughter couldn't make the team?

Anonymous said...

@7:10 that's a random and out of the blue statement. Did you just get word that your daughter didn't make it? It seems late in the game.

Anonymous said...

They should be called P.P.A, player poaching academy. I would agree they don't develop players, they just replace them with better girls.

Anonymous said...

I was just saying the other day that teams should be together for two years just like when you purchase your uniform. It's good for two years. How can players develop if it's a constant rotation of kicking people off and bringing new ones on?

Anonymous said...

If a better player comes along the weakest player will get replaced, every club does it.

Anonymous said...

Exactly. Opposite of development.

Anonymous said...

Maybe your child can't be developed.

Anonymous said...

10:10 You are what's wrong with youth sports, mommys and daddys that think their kids are entitled to be on a team because they made it the year before. If that's the case then how is the rec player that develops at a different rate than your kid but who is now better than your kid supposed to climb the ranks? If your kid is good enough, they'll keep their spot, if not, they'll get cut for a better player. I fail to see how that is the club's fault. Maybe your kid should be playing town travel and not club level. Know what kind of situation you're putting your kid in. It's your fault, not the club's fault.

Anonymous said...

I don't think learning soccer or anything else is so black and white. Some players may thrive in a more secure environment where they can make mistakes and still be secure. Some may thrive in a more cut throat situation. Know your payer and how they tick and try to put them in a good place for them.

Anonymous said...

It's pretty funny listening to all of the parents here. Better kids make the team and the ones that aren't as advanced get cut. It's the right way and teaches lessons early. As far as Township soccer goes, I have played PDA Cdear stars and such and beat them. The coaches and parents went bananas. Enjoy your kids playing and don't turn them into little entitled brats. I'm a u11 coach playing u12 next year. These are little girls...don't lose sight of that. Didn't a Township team just win the u13 state cup...hmmmmmmmmm... be humble parents and don't make your kids hate the game

Anonymous said...

PDA Cdear Stars? Who are they? And NJ Rush won the u13 State Cup so not sure what you're talking about coach.

Louis Barbera said...

Arsenal Blue U13 Girl's US Club State Cup Champions... ok?.. just saying...

Anonymous said...

Yes Lou, they won the second tier bracket against other town teams. If you play in a bracket with all town teams, its not very surprising that a town team would then win.
The REAL State Cup featured NJ Rush Blue (fka Rage) vs NJ Rush Gray.

https://events.gotsport.com/events/schedule.aspx?EventID=47058&GroupID=461519&Gender=Girls&Age=13

Still unclear which team you mean when you say you beat PDA Cdear Stars? You didnt beat PDA Lyon.

Anonymous said...

Hmmmmmmm

Anonymous said...

Really Louis? You really posted that? You're lucky if that team is top 20 in the state. That's the equivalent of saying, "we're the best college basketball team in country - We won the NIT this year."

Dacottonkid said...

Funny all you took from the whole thing was a top 20 team. Totally ignored the don't ruin it for your kid part. Sorry I don't want to spend 5k a year for my kid to play soccer at 11. All I know is my kids have a great time and play some good soccer. Let me ask you an honest question. What are the car rides like on the way home from a soccer game? I've seen what the parents are like on the sidelines of these games. Chill out...at 15 a good portion of kids will hate the game because of it. Be nice anonomys...who names their kid anonomys anyway...haha

Anonymous said...

june 8 10.21
the only kids who thrive in a cut throat environment are bullies who try to intimidate and crush others. you think that's a good environment for children to learn and develop as players and young women?

Anonymous said...

Not sure bullies ever really thrive. When they get beat they are helpless to handle it.

Anonymous said...

12:35 - so academy kids are bullies because they thrive in competitive environment??? sound a we bit judgmental honey. Are great students bullies if they thrive in honors classes?

Anonymous said...

You don't know what your talking about. Honor classes are not cut throat. You have nurturing and supportive teachers. 12 yr olds need a supportive environment in order to feel secure and develop their talent. It should be nurtured. Maybe you never had that growing up. BTW, academy for girls hasn't started yet

Anonymous said...

Cutthroat does not mean healthy competition. If you think it does, do some research, honey

Anonymous said...

Put a bra on tree hugger. I am sure there are lovely, nurturing programs for your little darling. Bet they will let you be the snack mom.

Anonymous said...

Wow you guys are classic. It is possible believe it or not to be in a nurturing encouraging environment that is competitive without being Cutthroat and or ruining the intention of your child playing sports in the first place. I find it comical that most of the people on here think that it is them playing these Sports. Half of you got your books smacked out of your hands in school and are now living through a 12 year old girl. We all need a reality check sometimes but some of you need a reality smack.

Anonymous said...

What's your problem 3.39? Try to be supportive. you're going to make your daughter burn out because you're pushing her too hard. She's twelve not 16.

Anonymous said...

slob parents - you were not a pedigree, nor will your child be, relax, let them have fun

Anonymous said...

A while back I thought I heard that the Voorhees Extreme Team was breaking up. So I checked their roster, and it has been recently updated. Are they back in the game and keeping the team together and their rankings????

Anonymous said...

7:29. That roster isn't right. Some of those girls listed are actually over at the barons now. Go ahead take a peek.

Anonymous said...

The players from Voorhees scattered to all new teams. PDA & SJEB got the majority of the players. Not sure where the remaining girls went.

Keeper went SJEB RUSH 02.

My daughter has been playing PDA since U9. She just completed here U12 season. About 75% of the team are the same from when she started. That's a pretty good retention rate if you ask me. As far as development goes, winning NJ state cup back to back, sweeping the Jeff Cup and 1st division U13 is a pretty good indicator that my daughter has developed just fine. PDA is not perfect, but I can tell you that my daughter is happy. That's all that counts. For the poster slamming PDA above, sorry your kid didn't make the team. Better luck next year. PDA is best program in the state. Spend your money as you see fit.

Anonymous said...

@ 10:37 are you for real almost 11 at night and your typing on a u12 girls soccer blog about pda lyon again.I can tell u facts and they ae as follows. How hard is it to big a good team from over 150 girls from a tryout first.Second if pda is so great why do you have to train elsewhere 90 percent of your girls. Also pda has no sense of friendship or team .These are the facts spanky as I'm sure that's what you do when your done blogging. We all hope your all star makes it as if she doesn't we will be reading about you.

Anonymous said...

Well said above, poor writing though. You forgot the way the parents talk about other people's kids on the team. And yes my daughter is on lyon.

Anonymous said...

AND yes typing from this second rate tournament I'm wasting my weekend on.Looking at 3 of you backstabbers as we speak smiling at you.

Anonymous said...

Parents talking trash about kids? That's pretty low... I'd love to hear an adult talk smack to my kid. Anyone that would do that to hurt a little girl is a real loser. I've met a few pda parents.. majority are ok...a little intense but none the less quality people. Just like everywhere else .. some real bad ones give the rest a bad name. Most of it was jealousy though. My daughter wasn't good enough to try out for pda..who cares.. the fact that that some parents are terrible has nothing to do with that.

Anonymous said...

Parents talk about all the kids behind the parents' back. PDA has a terrible team environment. Why doesn't the coach ever say we are all a team and stick together? He encourages bullying and survival of the fittest. This environment starts right away at the youngest age groups. Coaches just care about a pay check and not about the girls.

Anonymous said...

10:05 Bingo you are correct, Do Coaches at PDA need to get paid to perform. Once paid= large roaster size= large paycheck. Then the coaches only care about winning.

Anonymous said...

Are you idiots even part of PDA? How would you know how the environment is? And if you are, leave. That simple. I just don't understand where all the negativity is coming from. My kid plays for PDA, loves her team and coach. Are you just sour grapes that your kid got cut or dropped? Go elsewhere if you are unhappy or call Mr. Anderson for a refund.

Anonymous said...

good for you. You must be good friends with Mr. Anderson. And yes, I was there and hated it.

Anonymous said...

2:48 could you be one of the 3 toxic north dad's keep talking about everybody else's kids and your friends behind there backs.Karma is a bitch.

Anonymous said...

Prediction all of the 3 north dad's will turn on each other like they always do.Maybe fist fight again ring any bells plus Glenn is aware of 2 of you .One has been there for years other leaves and comes back a lot after getting kicked out of other clubs. And yes I'm on your team you are horrible men .The way you belittle your own teammates and friends.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

How long before striker/Lyon dad leaves? He's a stain on any club.

Anonymous said...

yawn

Anonymous said...

If PDA is putting up with this guy after he's been thrown out by other club, she must be either a friend of management or his daughter is an amazing player.

Anonymous said...

Yawn ... who cares.

Anonymous said...

The girl is a good player no superstar. It's a shame the 2 girls are nice and there toxic dad's will ruin them.I love watching them even backstabbing each other.imagine if the big one tries to play mid.Ww3 don't worry coach on to both and there blogging and talking .

Anonymous said...

PDA seems like a great environment for children

Anonymous said...

Speaking In privacy being on Lyon the poster unfortunately is correct there are two Dads that are cancers.I only hope there behavior isn't tolerated. They will say hi than launch insults about your kid to other players and even parents of other teams.

Anonymous said...

Dude, let it go already. You made your point in last 20 posts. You sounds like the one with issues.

Anonymous said...

I can't believe you people are talking about players/parents from your own team. Why complain about them if your doing the same thing?FAKE!!

Anonymous said...

Maybe when a parent tries to spread nasty rumors about your 12 yr. old you'll think differently.

Anonymous said...

It's happened numerous times same guy everybody with a conscious tells there friends the truth so my advice pda north dad's keep your mouth shut. You know who you are stay off the blogs .

Anonymous said...

Ps nobody and I say nobody is talking about the kids it is you 2 dad's please keep your mouth shut ,enjoy your kids and above all don't speak about others kids at pda not at Pda on your team on a older team you get the point.

PDA Folks,

Can we change the channel yet. I think this Soap Opera was good to watch for a while, but we want a new topic or Channel.

Channel #1 Days of our Lives at PDA = not fun soccer anymore.

Channel #2 Desperate Parents Academy = PDA now DPA. akka Desperate house wives and dads.

Channel # 3 Stay clear of this unhealthy atmosphere in the youth soccer world.

New Channel # 4 - Anything is better than Channels 1-3.

I am glad my child has never had to be a part of this soccer drama within a high level soccer club. If my child wanted to play for PDA I would think twice about spending gas money to attend a tryout, after this year in review.

Just my thought.

When the new season starts have positive things to say on this blog.

Anonymous said...

PDA must be so proud.

Anonymous said...

The past few days just show you what PDA is really about. Fighting within the team, bashing kids, one lady equating winning to developing, what a giant shit storm.

Anonymous said...

Yawn!!! Go on vaction this is so
boring!!

Anonymous said...

Vacation? No way. All these teams are at the beginning. New mix of players and parents..new hierarchy, new drama, new power struggles. Grab the pop corn and let the summer play begin. Should be interesting.

Anonymous said...

If that interests you, you need professional help.

Anonymous said...

To the person who thinks everything is so boring
You are reading all these comments so you must be interested. If you really found everything so boring, why read and respond?

New Lyon 2.0 (2004) did pretty well (results on gotsoccer) with 16 goals, 0 allowed playing up 2 years this weekend.

Anonymous said...

Good news for all of us moving to 2003 - looks like the most annoying Lyons poster is staying at 2004.

Anonymous said...

How is playing in the G13 bracket "playing two years up?"

Anonymous said...

Looks like Lyon would be the 5th best team at U13 according to youth soccer rankings, definitely capable of taking on all of the top 4 teams. 2 big cheers for them as they leave this blog, and move to U13, well done playing up at EDP in the spring.

I think the only competition they will get is the Red Bulls RDS this weekend.

Anonymous said...

"How is playing in the G13 bracket "playing two years up?""

Because more than 1/2 of this version of Lyon are current U11 players…This is the new team playing now.

Anonymous said...

Against other new u13 teams with u11 04's on them.

Anonymous said...

Yes. Lyon is in the unique epicenter of the universe. Other teams have not been playing younger players yet. No doubt others are stacked with 2002s.

Just rename the team to Megalomaniacs so that people dont need to argue.

Anonymous said...

Megalomaniacs? You are a nerd. Look in the mirror - that's why you're daughter didn't get a call back. Don't forget your Jane Eyre book while you spend quality time at a B & B in New Hampshire.

Anonymous said...

Funny parents here.

Anonymous said...

Most clubs are playing Their curren U12s in the U13 Flight so only the U11s on Lyon will be playing up.

Anonymous said...

Most clubs is not all clubs, therefore Lions is not the only team.

Anonymous said...

Maybe. But the teams Lyon played last weekend were weaker clubs maybe but were U13 teams.

For instance, Red Bull is a U13 team too with some U12's from PDA Lyon & U13's from North Jersey.

Anonymous said...

And....your point?

Anonymous said...

No point. Just a gnat being annoying.

Anonymous said...

Oh my! What happened to PDA Lyon today?

Anonymous said...

Birth year change is the great equalizer! The fall should be interesting.

Anonymous said...

1:50PM: They LOST...twice!!! Maybe they played with only 6 girls? Hahaha 2:04: Yes perhaps it is.

Anonymous said...

Poor Lyon. Can't wait to hear the excuses.

Anonymous said...

No excuses what is your excuse
for being on here?

Anonymous said...

we just lost 4 starting defenders. Give it some time. We'll be just fine. Thanks for caring.

Anonymous said...

Not a PDA guy at all, but Lyon will be fine. This tourney has only tough teams, and when you play up not matter how skilled you are its very tough in the middle of the field against bigger, older, faster, stronger players. Did not see the games, but I would guess they got pushed off the ball quite a bit. In the fall they will be back to winning a lot of games against the U13 Pre-ECNL clubs.

Anonymous said...

AND PDA DADDY ALL TEAM LOST KIDS .

Anonymous said...

Excuses excuses. So are you saying the new defenders suck? My daughter played against Lyon 2 years ago. Of course Lyon beat them and my daughter was amazed at how well they worked together as a team. So yesterday she wanted to stop and watch them. She wanted to leave at half time because she wasn't impressed anymore hahaha she said hmmmm they are just a normal team now that the birth year thing is in place.

Anonymous said...

Well said 9:57 I agree 3 national players should have taken over right lmfao we are all squirrel looking for nuts you are the best we bow down. The two of you dad's will see stayed tune folks .

Anonymous said...

Omg folks. Stop with the run on sentences! Please use punctuation. I can't even understand half the crap you are all typing.

already sick of pda enough said...

It's easy I get the point. And all you have said although not easy to understand is true.Let's hope these 2 national team dad's get kicked off and they play there own age this year so others can get a piece of us.

Anonymous said...

Wasn't it 3 national players omg.

Anonymous said...

Omg folks.... That is not a sentence grammar Nazi... most people are doing this from their phone. But you keep correcting grammar good for you someone will get you an apple.

Anonymous said...

Look! Punctuations. I can do it from my phone. Look ......!!!!!????? Then so can everyone else so we know what the hell you are talking about.

Anonymous said...

@2:04 put down the food.Eat or drink the pda kool/aid.

Anonymous said...

Pppppdddaaa you made my father's day ,great now you tie a weak summer select team filled with 11 and 12 year Olds .Pda daddy what's excuse now .

Anonymous said...

Lyon got nothing to say. Their stellar record the last few years is enough of a statements. Your losers jumping on the first loss is so funny. Must be fun piling on when you got your butts kicked the last few years. My prediction - Lyon will be back to their winning ways in the fall. Enjoy your minor wins, maybe your little Mia will make the team next year. Maybe.

Anonymous said...

Nobody cares about pda or the past .How do you not know I'm not on your team or a team you have been on .We all know this is your life and we all laugh at you and your friends.P.S.look over your shoulder we might be next to each other alot.

Anonymous said...

4:36 maybe we will see your little Mia in burger King taken my order.

Anonymous said...

Oh snap!third party talking yo yo maybe my little Carly will get us a scholarship yo.Then I can quit my job

managers said...

REMINDER PDA PARENTS AND PLAYERS. YOU ARE NOT AND I REPEAT TO BE POSTING ON THIS BLOG.PERIOD.

Anonymous said...

But you didn't repeat yourself.

Anonymous said...

Lyons got spanked. One tie to a very easy summer select team and two losses to average u13 teams.
No excuses please, just admit when you play average teams at u13, u cant compete.
Nice way to end as a team.....

Anonymous said...

Team ended after state cup win. Only 6 girls from that team on current team. They lost 12 03s . Different team d bag

Anonymous said...

Sdfc and WC are just the opposite. 2/3 04 players last year.

Anonymous said...

Lyon won Manhattan Jeff cup Pda kickoff state cup and edp. 22-0-1. 90+ goals for 3 against. That team is done. Time to move on.

I thought the PDA Manager told the PDA parents not to post on this board anymore. Dad must be away, so the PDA kids are playing again.

Stop talking PDA , you are so childish.

Anonymous said...

Barcelona won their tournament this weekend. PDA rules everything we play in.

Anonymous said...

Lmao, did you see who Barcelona played? Crappy teams.

Anonymous said...

what tournament did Barcelona even play in?

Anonymous said...

Relax with the Barcelona talk. Whoever posted that is just trolling. It's not the actual Barcelona team, it's a summer team that's not even half PDA kids. The Barcelona coach is coaching the team, that's about it.

Anonymous said...

Are they going 04 or 03?

Anonymous said...

"Lyons got spanked. One tie to a very easy summer select team and two losses to average u13 teams. "

Everyone on this board just makes stuff up…

The U11&U12 Lyon mix lost 4-2 to Maximus Arsenal. They are the #2 team in NJ & #5 in the US. You or your daughter has probably never even seen that level and speed of play, never mind played in it.

Anonymous said...

@8:55 Only a few kids on that team are actually kids who played on Barcelona. Most are 04s and a good part of them are new. The coach isn't even coaching them come Fall. The new 03 coach is taking that team as well.

Anonymous said...

Barcelona picks up in earnest 8/1. They will be an 04 team. New coach, new kids, new everything same as everyone else.

Anonymous said...

True, half the team playing was 03 players.

Anonymous said...

Guess that plan Voorhees girls worked out with the coach went out the window since there is a new coach coming in.

Anonymous said...

No shocker that PDA will switch coaches. PDA treats their trainers like garbage. Most trainers quit.

Anonymous said...

10:52 am. Are you just guessing that some of the Voorhees Extreme girls are not going to PDA or do you know that for a fact? This board has so many rumors. I guess the truth about the Voorhees Extreme players will come out at the first games of the fall season, or when the official rosters for PDA, NJRUSH, and SJEB are posted. If they are ever posted.

Anonymous said...

641, you can go on the Barons website and see who is on the 04 teams. Yes, it's the updated roster. Teams take forever to update got soccer.

Anonymous said...

PDA Lyon lost many of their starting players. The new 04 team just has to get used to playing with each other AND playing the new teams. 03's and 04's from PDA will do fine once they adapt to their new enviroments.

No, I'd just be a normal parent and explain to her it's a not a nice word and teach her that she shouldn't use it. Do you have that much trouble being a parent?

How's everyone's summer?

Anonymous said...

My summer is great, thank you.

Anonymous said...

Looks like everyone is gonna run to Penn Fusion or PDA Sky blue next year! Have fun!!!

Anonymous said...

hope everyone has a good 16-17 year! enjoy your new teams

Anonymous said...

Everyone can't run there as they only take 12 players per age, and their kids have an inside track. Also, plenty of kids who could be in the DA will decide it's not what they want.

Anonymous said...

Will ECNL try to maintain quality control of players post-GDA or do they ditch quality for "quantity" of paying bodies to cover the club's DA costs?

Anonymous said...

Anyone allowing their kid to read this blog should have their child taken from them. God awful parenting.

Anonymous said...

@646
so strange - you are nnt concerned about the comment made. Instead, you think kids do not see this blog? They are on the internet more than the crazy parents here.

ECNL will be the feeder division because GDA is combined years and will cover the costs> at ECNL clubs the fees often cover the Boys DA already if they have one

Anonymous said...

Words don't offend me, bad parenting does.

Anonymous said...

What ups with PDA Barcelona they suck..

Anonymous said...

It's a summer team. Few from roster are playing.

Anonymous said...

This board went quite. Did every go to the U14 group. 2003 Girls.

PDA bashing has been quite too.

Anonymous said...

Quiet. Typed to fast. What is with the PDA Barcelona bashing. Are they a 2003 or 2004 team.

Anonymous said...

Barcelona will be 2004.

Anonymous said...

PDA Barcelona should be interesting. They picked up some nice players from the Voorhees group. New coach has been assigned and I'm sure they should be competitive.

Anonymous said...

PDA will be a good 04 team next year.. The barons seems to have gotten a strong group. Penn fusion will be another good team not sure about the rest anyone else have insight in strong and up coming teams.

Anonymous said...

Harrison will still be really strong. It's still too early to tell with all the new and reconfigured teams. Mercer fc should be interesting too. That's made up of mostly hibos. And that tbaa sonic team should be really good too.

Anonymous said...

What league is Barcelona playing in? They aren't listed in the edp list of teams

Anonymous said...

6:41, where is the list of teams located? Can you post a link please? I've been watching for a list but I must not be looking in the right place. Thank you.

Anonymous said...

Look at that people can talk about other teams and not get hassled this is how the blog should be not negative crap. Harrison should have a good team. Sonic is a very young team. Will be interesting how they match up to the older 04 age teams.

Anonymous said...

The barons got lucky on the players they picked up between the east, west,Medford and Voorhees girls they got lucky by having all older 04s that were playing with 03/04 last year and on the big field, PDA is in the same boat I think there will be a few strong teams and other will have to learn to play the big field and older girls should be a eye opener for some.

Anonymous said...

The Barons I think will be the team to beat. And, no my daughter does not play for them. But, I know the girls who went there and they are strong players. Almost an entirely new team. Course, most are new teams it seems with the age change. Spirit United will be the first glance on how this age change effected everyone. Should be an interesting tournament. Only team not playing Spirit that has been talked about it PDA. Will have to wait on them.

Anonymous said...

Early tournament must watch- Harrison tourney has both Harrison and the barons in it. Not bad for a small tourney.

Anonymous said...

Will be interesting to see how the philly soccer team does since a lot of the girls are playing up.

Anonymous said...

That is the barons 04 C team in Harrison tourny

Anonymous said...

The barons A team is at spirit that weekend

So is the SJEB Baron 2004 A team, (old east team) and PDA Barcelona playing in the NPL league this fall, to travel the country at age 13.

Did the Voorhee's girls actually commit to PDA Barcelona? No rosters are posted for the 03/04 old Barcelona Team????

What tournament will PDA 03 Barcelona & PDA 04 Barcelona play in first this fall. Only then we will see the roster and if any Voorhees girls show up.

Anonymous said...

What is your obsession with SJEB, PDA Barcelona and the old Voorhees kids? Why do you care what tournaments PDA is playing in so you can see their roster? I think you should be locked up for stalking.

Anonymous said...

How do you even go about that with the year change and most teams being new.. Crazy i am sure the bigger name clubs with get out in top bracket even though some maybe not be able to play there just how things works in the world

Anonymous said...

Maybe they will wait until the Monday prior to release them. By then there will have been 3 weekends of tournaments. I suspect most teams will have played in 1 or 2. Not much data but it's something other than the coaches word!

There are a few teams that shouldn't be in the top bracket and a few that should that are not

Will be blowouts all over the flights. Quickly looking, take a guess at which teams prevail...

HFC, NJ Elite, Atletico, Penn Fusion

@3:02 which teams are you referring too?

No arguments with the PAE teams.

Phwm 04 red should be in the top bracket, from what people said the barons team looks like I say the same for them. Nj wildcats Lopez shouldn't be in the top bracket or holmdel or YMS

Almost all teams are new and most haven't played a game together yet. The flighting is fine. If your good, you'll win. It will all balance iout in a couple of months.
