VIEWER REQUEST! U11G U11 Girls Youth Soccer

U11 girls' teams are facing the 11 v. 11 playing field for the first time. This is a time when players develop a true love for the game and the focus is a little more intense, on the field and on the sidelines...

They should play everywhere on the field. They will learn to see the game at different spots. It can only help at this age.

Good luck to all the girls this season

JAGS is a complete mess.

Anonymous said...

Why do you think JAGS is a mess? Not claiming it is or isn't....

Anonymous said...

I understand that there are teams still waiting on schedules. So, it should be that the scheduling is a mess.

Anonymous said...

All leagues seem to have a lacking in the scheduling department. A good team manager is key!!

Anonymous said...

LOL at JAGS. Schedules are out, but for some reason they have been unable to figure out how to use Got Soccer. We got our schedule over the weekend. Most of the best teams went to EDP, but still some good teams in JAGS. JAGS has become the best of the town based clubs.

Anonymous said...

JAGS going to Got Soccer changes everything because it becomes about points as suppose to development which this age should be about. Now you have to play everyone in a flight to be judged instead of playing as many teams you want to develop. This ruins the older age groups a team start to chase points.

Yup.

Anyone want to preview/predict the round of 32 state cup games for this weekend. Obviously we aren't focusing enough on results for matches between mostly 10 year old girls ... (jk) ;-) ... I am interested in people's experiences working with the various leagues, particularly the experience of EDP vs JAGS. My impression is EDP has more resources (people) to bring to bear, while JAGS is run by just a couple people, which is probably why they have struggled with schedules, etc ... Are the costs much higher for EDP to pay for those extra resources? Any other major differences besides possibly the level of competition available?

Anonymous said...

EDP is almost 4x the cost of JAGS due to volunteers compared to paid administrators. You get more for your money in JAGS for this age but as you get older the better competition is playing elsewhere.

Anonymous said...

The Volunteers at JAGs can't figure out how to use Got Soccer. Anyone know the JAGS flighting?

As far as the state cup, on paper Crush and Voorhees are the two best teams at 8v8.

Anonymous said...

I agree with crush n voorhees 8v8...11v11 draw isn't that strong I have to say Sjeb or Middletown will win 11v11 n voorhees will win 8v8

It seems like this year very few teams are doing State Cup compared to the past. I know when my daughter was u11 there were far more teams. Any theories as to why? More teams playing multiple leagues?

Anonymous said...

@415 i agree maybe pda couldn't field 23 teams lo any predictions this weekend in edp 11 vs 11

Anonymous said...

It's too bad more teams aren't playing. Maybe more will play come spring. It's fun facing new teams. Gives the girls a change from playing same old teams.

SJEB 6 - PDA South 1

6 to 1 sjeb over pda south wow what happened to pda south I heard they had alot of problems over there I didn't see that coming I heard they also lost to a u 10 team time to get your house in order

Anonymous said...

Sounds like the barons have gotten better

Anonymous said...

Seems like things not going well in nirvana, aka paradise, aka PDA.

Anonymous said...

My daughter is new to pda south we need players asap we need a goalie and field players asap please feel free to come out 6 girls would help

Anonymous said...

Let's hope they work it out- we can't afford to lose an 11v11 team. There aren't that many of them out there right now. Every team goes through issues- they'll figure it out.

NJ Wildcats 12-1 over Rage today in EDP game. Way to keep it classy coach TN.

You're not new to PDA, you're the guy that just got booted from the team. Nice try though

Anonymous said...

Yaa you tell um! So many tough people in soccer today. Oh funny thing is, all the tough people in soccer on on the sidelines.. Parents should just stay home and the girls play soccer.

U have no idea what you are talking about.
Please do not comment on PDA if you do not know the whole true story. NO ONE GOT BOOTED FROM THE TEAM.

Anonymous said...

I agree! Parents are so ruining this game! I heard parents yelling to check players green cards at a game this past weekend! We live in the greatest country in the world, but some of us should stay away from competitive events if you can't stay positive! Please your an embarrassment to the sport, and sadly to your children!

I would say if the referees controlled the games from the opening whistle things would be better. The fact that one week you have Ref that knows a push from behind is unacceptable and the following week it's ok to slid tackle from behind and that is ok is what leads to most of the yelling on our side lines. Give it time. I have older kids who play also and the referees get better. Unfortunately the younger kids get the worst referees and it truly hurts the game.

Was looking at some edp results. Really PDA 10-0. Real classy.

Anonymous said...

To pay all that money & not face competition seems like a waste of time as well as money. Wildcats never beat a team 12-1 before EDP.

Anonymous said...

Wildcats also not playing in top bracket....12-1 hope they enjoyed that win no class there...

Anonymous said...

Not going to help them recruit when that club already has a bad reputation.

Anonymous said...

Who?

Anonymous said...

Wildcats Club has a terrible reputation just ask the older age groups.

Anonymous said...

The problem is not with the wildcats winning 12-0. The problem is with Edp letting any team that writes a check join. There are many other lopsided games so far in this age bracket and we are only a couple of games in. At this age and level of soccer teams should not have to give mercy. This is not Rec anymore. I also blame the club for entering their girls in Edp when they must have known they were not ready for this.

Look who is playing in the November Howell tourney:

http://www.gotsport.com/events/teamlist.asp?eventid=39688&showall=true

I think Howell is 11 v 11. It would be nice for some of the elite MOSA teams, or southern Jersey JAGS teams to sign up and test themselves.

I have forwarded this to our coach(MOSA premier)...

There is no excuse for winning 12-0. It is very easy to control the score of games when talent levels are so different. Running up the score shows a complete lack of character and sets a terrible example for the players.

Anonymous said...

The reason coaches do this in EDP is because the tie breaker is goal diff and there is no limit. Now it forces everyone else to do the same thing which is sad - especially for Rage who is obviously in the wrong league.

All EDP has to do is limit goal diff in games to 4 and it will stop.

Again, shame on TN for doing this.

Anonymous said...

So a developmental league is all about winning, if goal differential comes into play! Shame on all who support this garbage.

Your comment makes no sense. Of course it's partly about winning, it's a sport and there's a winner and a loser. The issue is, they should limit goal diff to prevent teams from running up the score.

PDA South is kind of a mess now. Their facility is under major construction, no home games so far this season. Practices are scattered all over the place. Don't look for any teams to be sharp this fall from PDA South. Hopefully when their new complex is finished things will improve.

You CAN'T be serious. Please tell me you're joking. The team is struggling because the fields are under construction?

The team is struggling because your best player left at the end of last season, two more bolted for SJEB a few weeks ago and another was booted, sorry I mean "she left". So keep telling everyone you're the up and coming team, if you say it enough maybe you will even start to believe it.

The only team PDA cares about at this age is Lyon. All the other players are just supporting their club financially. That's the reality.

I have a long question comment.. We left our travel team for PDA- my daughter is U8. I know she's young and she may be playing a different sport in two years but for now, she loves it and she is very talented.. Anyway we wanted to go to PDA shore, that folded, so we wen to PDA south, nice coach , terrible parents plus we only had 7 girls on the team so every time we played , there were no subs- that was good and bad. Anyway, we decided to pull her out for now. She will continue to play some travel and I have her enrolled in other stuff like Futsal for the winter. But, what do I do for the spring? Try out for PDA North or for NJ Crush or FCCopa- can someone please give me advice.. Thank you in advance.

Anonymous said...

You have to do some research and find out what teams are good at this age if she is a good player you want to to play with good players so she can grow and get better..PDA north is hard to say no to expensive but the north is good PDA south and shore are there to support the north....nj crush puts good teams out...the barons have good training but hit or miss on teams being good..u should contact a few clubs and take her to a practice to see what she likes and see how the teams are..at u-8 ur looking at the training and how good girls are around her to push her

The comment I posted about PDA South and their facility under construction was in regards to the entire organization not just a particular team. Sorry for any confusion. I also agree with the 9/27 12:59pm comment. Look around, jump in some practices, see a game or two. Watch the trainer, and more importantly the parents. Many parents can't keep there mouths shut on the sidelines... You will get all you need to know just by listening. The best teams in the area are VERY tight knit groups. NJ Crush and Barrons, seems to be that way and Voorhees as well. By the way just curious is Voorhees a club team? Keep seeing posts about them but little info. Saw them play in Marlton this summer.
