U13 Girls Youth Soccer

This is a time when players develop a true love for the game and the focus is a little more intense, on the field and on the sidelines...

If PDA breaking in to birth year, why would this 04 be allowed to play up, particularly if she is not one of the top 5 2004s in PDA? Is she a coach's favorite or the mom pretends to run things? I don't get it at all. If it is about subjective talent, and there are other 2004s who are better, why?

Anonymous said...

Rider coach has sent out his offers. Did you receive a golden ticket???

Anonymous said...

Why does anyone care where that girl plays? If you have a problem with her playing up, then speak with the DOC and coach. The blog doesn't care to hear your disgruntled feelings. Its sounding obsessive. Can we now move on to something else?

Anonymous said...

Now it's getting creepy...so it's the moms fault? Lol. Does PDA offer restraining orders for families?

Anonymous said...

Rider as in Rush 04? Golden ticket? Glad you feel like your daughter won a trip to the Wonka Factory!
Go Charlie!

Boy oh boy. New girl's da faqs mention that Nike will provide free balls for training at the DA. What a relief. Buying the ball was such a major cost burden for youth soccer.

Anonymous said...

Sounds like a treat of program. Lyons parent feel they are superior and post like buffoons up here, and then the lead buffoon thinks her superstar 04 is better than a proven successful 04. Galaxy has done pretty well and is consider by many to be one of the best squads out there. And this pipsqueak of an 04 just happens to be a leader and impact player on that team. PDA is proud to have this untested 04, it is only a matter of time until she captains the ECNL squad. Great job.

Anonymous said...

Too much. There is healthy competition and then there is knocking down soccer playing girls because it is very important to be the best player. Be grateful for soccer playing girls. No temptationn of a career path. A fun and healthy game if the line is not crossed to insecure put downs.

What clubs are going DA? Besides PDA?? Will clubs like SDFC STA ?

Anonymous said...

is a 2005 permitted to play on a 2003 age team.

Anonymous said...

yes

Anonymous said...

I see SDFC and WCFC going to the DA. I thought maybe MF would consider it but then remembered they were kicked out on the boys side.

Anonymous said...

240 where do you see that as applications start may 2?

Anonymous said...

See meaning envisions. Sdfc has mediocre older teams.

Anonymous said...

@9:02 If your daughter got a golden ticket, I hope she tried out elsewhere. I heard those same words came from the coach himself. Not looking too promising. Don't expect any sweets from the rush wonks factory. Only sour! bahahaha!!!!!!

LOL. As much as everyone may hate it, nothing happens in NJ until the PDA decides what they will do. MFA is on record as having no interest. STA and SDFC have no standing to become DA clubs on the girls side. If PDA desires a DA, then there will likely be one other. I would speculate a Cedar Stars/ Stallions merger, to be clear that is pure speculation.

Anonymous said...

@ 4:38 wheels coming off the bus Sonic? dont push blame on others. What are you really offering in fall other than a lower flight on a weaker team than year before.

Anonymous said...

How was your ride home Real?!? To all you "Vorhees" haters...aka VOORHEES XTREME: 80 mins of soccer with only 10 players, Real full squad and a football team of subs....sad Real! RIP VOORHEES....NOT! More like RIP REAL!

Anonymous said...

7:25 you silly willy. Both teams are over rated. There isn't any '
"Real" soccer south of Princeton.

Anonymous said...

Bad pun, but most are. I agree both teams are over-rated.

Anonymous said...

@7:25 curious to see how many of those Voorhees players will be starters come birth year, things are about to get "Real." And the depiction of the game wasn't exactly accurat my friend.. Voorhees girls were dropping like flies the entire game, at least a quarter of them shedding tears from the physicality of the real players. Regarding a full roster... Simple math. 3 injured on Reals bench (never saw playing time), 3 subs, 9 Real starters never came out. Basically it came down to 4 unlucky goal attempts during "real" game play for Real, and a very lucky PK for Voorhees on their 5th girls shot. Tuesday, rematch will be fun. And, please try to keep the parents moaning and crying in your township this time.

Anonymous said...

@8:51 Threw the line out and the bait was taken!! LOVE IT!! FYI....it's "accurate" learn how to spell before you post. Guess your trailer park didn't teach you that!

Anonymous said...

I'm a neutral body, I was at the game, while my daughter was practicing and Real dominated that entire game. Ball was down Voorhees side 75% of the game. Came down to unlucky PK's. Sour way to end such a tight match. Great game played by both sides.

Anonymous said...

Now that's a pretty "accurat" (lol) post

Anonymous said...

Voorhees did what they needed to in order to advance, they put 8 in the box and defended, there was no style to their play at all. Real probably outshot them 15-5. I would have done the same if my team was a player down. Real should have won this game 3-0 in regulation but they didn't and it cost them in pks. I've never seen anything like that for the pks. Combined, the teams went 0 for 9 in the first 9 attempts (4 straight over the crossbar for Real). Voorhees' last girl converted for the win. Congrats

7:25 Where were you after your losses to PDA and Penn Fusion? Back to the trailer for you.

Anonymous said...

8:51 so basically it came down to your 14 not being able to finish off their 10. You're more physical and they are soft. Why then couldnt you finish them off in regulation? You had advantage but let the game come down to chance. Don't hate outwardly, fix what's wrong internally.

Anonymous said...

@6:41 Not a chance! You must have been misinformed. Ready to roll!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Enjoy it while you can Voorqueef. Let's see how you do against Middletown. Your Real celebration will be short lived. Better mop up the Asti Spumante that you sprayed in the trailer.

Anonymous said...

In good time your dirty sneaky deeds will hit home real hard!

Anonymous said...

Who's headed to PDA tryouts?

Anonymous said...

It will be PDA Lyon vs PDA shore in the final. Shore has gotten a lot better. But at the end Lyon will win and not I am Not on PDA just call it like I see it. Voorhees sucks. At this at to sacrifice playing soccer and stack the box is a true crime. That shows why they never got better and the team fell apart. They are all about the wins and not development and to put there kids first above players that could out shine them. That was Voorhees down fall they couldn't get past daddy ball. I know Voorhees parents will come on her opening there mouth. Truth hurts boys.

Anonymous said...

Did the mighty PDA lose tonight? Nothing posted yet.

Anonymous said...

It's really embarrassing how adults do not know the proper use of the words (there, their, they're). The above post sounds like a parent has an axe to grind with Voorhees!! I'm thinking an angry mom that thinks their kid is God's gift to soccer.

Anonymous said...

What did you think about turnout and talent at PDA tonight?

Anonymous said...

I don't know. What do you think?

Anonymous said...

Score is on the website no need to post!

Anonymous said...

Who did they play?

Anonymous said...

@4:58 WELL SAID!

Anonymous said...

Well done COPA U13!!

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

I decided to move my daughter to another team next year. Who will have the best team next year? my daughter can only be on that team. please provide contact info for the coach of that team. i appreciate any assistance

Anonymous said...

What team does ur daughter play on. The best team it's all gonna be a toss up next year with the birth year change. New team new kids a lot to get adjusted to. Only play on the top team you sound like a tool. Only worried about winning. With your mind set go to rush with Voorhees you will fit right in.

1:11 where's your follow up comment jacka$$? What was the final?

Anonymous said...

So why was the Voorhees daddy even at the PDA/Real game? Was that you or a Barcelona parent with the 1:11 comment? Either way, you're pathetic for coming on here and talking about Real. This is why everyone in SJ can't stand you and why nobody wanted to stay at Voorhees with you, hell your own parents don't even want to follow you to Rush. You're a trouble maker who stirs the pot and then smiles in people's faces. Your game is over, nobody will ever let you be manager of a team again - which must drive you insane that you won't be calling the shots.

Everyone tried to warn you that your team would crumble. Congrats to the Voorhees parents that finally saw the light and are running for the hills to get away from you.

Anonymous said...

I saw the light! Xtreme, ha more like EXTEAM!

Isn't that none of our business wow!!

Anonymous said...

Anyone get the invites to PDA north u14 team as promised?

Anonymous said...

8:21's comment reworded.
Rush "recruiters", the president and 04 coach (Rider Asst Coach), were arrogant and niave. Arrogant to believe parents would follow trainer to club. Niave to trust certain parents who have reputations of unethical shady behavior.

My tidbit to add: All the scheming you guys go through jockeying for players and a winning team is despicable! It's youth soccer - YOUTH! soccer. Your crap effects all the honest, loyal, dedicated players and parents who are simple looking for a positive competive developmental program.

Anonymous said...

*competitive

Anonymous said...

8:14 - WELL SAID - Their actions are reprehensible.

Anonymous said...

This always happens when certain parents don't get what they want. The ride is over. You will see this from a bunch of other teams soon when they don't get what they want for little Mia. Lots of action this week as parents wait for emails and roster spots.....

Anonymous said...

Why dies sdfc not allow parents to watch tryouts. Seems so third world. Pda doesn't do that

Anonymous said...

I was looking online at clubs for try out dates. I came across Harrison. Whether they are great or not doesn't bother me. Yes my child is good but she also wants to enjoy her youth soccer experience. 3/4 of your kids on here wont either play soccer out of high school or better yet will never make the Olympic squad so let's not get all the high and mighty when I ask this question. Harrison charged a $25 reg fee in advance and $35 as a walk up for try outs. Why? Then if you got chosen you have to pay $165 within 48 hours. Why? You don't even have a roster built but you want to take people's money? I'm sure it's a ploy to keep you in but that's kind of ridiculous. I would never shovel money out without a roster being seen. Would you? What other clubs do this?

Anonymous said...

Maybe because SDFC just lost their top new 04 player back to PDA so they may be anxious...

Anonymous said...

IG SA 2003 is looking for players peeps with all the madness going on some players may be without an option by weeks end. They would have been our first choice. Reach out to these folks down in the south Jersey area

Anonymous said...

I hear of players leaving PDA For SDFC and then trying to go back to PDA. What is wrong with SDFC?

Anonymous said...

@849 bcs SDFC parents don't know how to behave.

Anonymous said...

Some like one club, some like another. Suit yourself. There is not single right answer for every player.

Anonymous said...

no offers yet @719

Anonymous said...

And some don't know what they like or want.

Anonymous said...

All the Galaxy and Crew offers are out.

Anonymous said...

Congrats to everyone who made the teams they wanted. For those that didn't, stay positive and know that time is on your side and there are many options these days.

Anonymous said...

Congrats to those spending $2500-$3500 for year round soccer. Do you really think your child is getting a scholarship? Making the Olympic team? They are 11-13 years old. This is the problem with youth soccer. Clubs grabbing every kid they can. Money maker, that is what your kids are. Why would anyone want to play for the B, C or D team? Paying exactly what A team is paying. You all live in a dream world. This is why local teams close up shop. They can't compete with big clubs that are willing to take everyone who will pay. And all the kids want to do is play and have fun with their friends. I learned a lot this year from my kid and this whole birth year non sense. You see, kids are smarter than you think. I bet if you actually spoke to your child instead of acting a fool on the sideline or pay thousands to play for someone who is only going to tell you what you want to hear cause you are paying them to tell you that and they really don't care about you, I bet your kids would say I just want to play soccer with my friends and have fun. And if you don't think that, either you are super dumb or your kid is scared to tell you that. Maybe everyone should watch this:

http://changingthegameproject.com/changing-the-game-in-youth-sports/

Anonymous said...

How does rush even begin to try and salvage this debacle. What a joke

Anonymous said...

heresy that we listen to the kids. They even know what's up about the players in the age group. They know the players - they know strengths and weaknesses. They know what will happen when they pass to this one, or that one. They know who is reliable on defense and who may struggle. They size up the opposing team as well. They could probably run the try outs pretty well themselves.

They of course, do not know as well the size of the bank accounts.

Anonymous said...

Sdfc player went to Lyon? Sdfc tryouts are not even finished yet. But the majority of Sdfc Galaxy was 2003.

Anonymous said...

Next season will not be boring.

Anonymous said...

It's all rumors and speculation who went where. I don't believe everything I read on an anonymous blog

Anonymous said...

If you were on PDA Lyon and left why would they ever let you come back?

Anonymous said...

3:42 - You are too rational for this board. It will be interesting to see how youth sports operate when our kids get to be parents. Coaches and parents cannot watch videos like that often enough.

Anonymous said...

If it a good experience, they may want to replicate it for their own child. If it a poor experience, probably look to other activities for their child.

Like college sports. How many on her pursuing this college sport commitment did it themselves? I don't plan n encouraging my child to replicate that experience. Time and energy could have been used more wisely.

Anonymous said...

Kid was on the U11 Strikers I believe, not Lyon.

Anonymous said...

Where is there a rule that you can't try other teams and then change your mind?

Anonymous said...

Striker kid won't last on Lyon. Bad attitude and dad is a complete @hole. I give it 1 month at best. Lyon coach doesn't tolerate that kind of behavior. probably a better fit on a south jersey team based on the drama on this blog.

Anonymous said...

12:28 - you mean they belong up north base on the Lyon drama that plays out every single day on this blog.

Anonymous said...

Plenty of soccer drama spread out throughout Jersey and all of U.S.

Anonymous said...

How are the barons gonna look this year at 04 age group.i saw they are having extra try-outs is it worth going to.

Anonymous said...

SDFC tryouts are over. Approx 50 girls trying out for two teams. Anyone have any idea how long they take to offer spots. What are the chances of an outsider getting a spot on the A team.... I was told that they don't like change and that they already know their a team before tryouts even begin.

Anonymous said...

Any thoughts on the NJ Rush u14 roster? How many are from the ’02-’03 state champs? How many starters from that team? How many from the ’03-’04 u12s?

Anonymous said...

Sdfc has another tryout on Friday. It's not over

Anonymous said...

I'm curious to hear about what's going on at Rush!!

Anonymous said...

Played SDFC several times in tournaments,Never had a problem with players coach or parents.
The parents from the PDa group are the crazy ones being a neutral reading this blog. Jesus they are 12 year old kids. Stop living your sporting dreams threw your kids. Enjoy the process and relax.

Anonymous said...

1:22am and 10:19am

Voorhees goalie dad, give it a rest. Just keep peddling her at EVERY tryout imaginable and she'll catch on. You are pathetic!

Anonymous said...

I am not Voorhees goalie dad. My kid has beaten that goalie several times.

What’s going on at Rush? Last year u13 was phenomenal. U12 not much to say.

This team is essentially new. They are representing it as virtually all of ’03 Voorhees Extreme. Only a few from the u13 team.

Is Voorhees '03 going over there en masse? If so, they inherit its Gotsoccer points and tournament placements which makes a big difference.

Why so few ‘03s from u13? Was the team that skewed or are several playing up?

Anonymous said...

Got soccer points mean nothing. Youth soccer rankings USA are much more accurate.

Anonymous said...

Accuracy doesn't mean that's what tournament directors go by.

Anonymous said...

7:59, buyer beware

Anonymous said...

The Voorhees 03s went to the barons and 4 of the 04s went to the barons as well.

Anonymous said...

3:46 AM Wait, they are going to Rush. No wait, they are going to PDA. No hold on a second, they are staying together at Voorhees. These parents are playing musical clubs and posting it here for attention. It's pretty pathetic and your act is getting tired.

Anonymous said...

Thought they were going to Rush! What happened?

Anonymous said...

pda south offers out yet?

Anonymous said...

Yup. And Barons losing players to PDA.

Anonymous said...

ok I'm confused... so the barons are losing the Voorhees players to PDA, that were the same girls going to Rush? I don't know why Voorhees didn't go to Copa as a "team package". brand new team, lots of spots... or maybe they tried but Copa didn't agree to the terms and conditions set forth by the Voorhees mgr?

Anonymous said...

Maybe Barons are loosing Barons players that lost their npl spot to a voorhees player? Didnt like getting bumped to second team?

Anonymous said...

And all the above drama just goes to show that try-outs are a sham.

Anonymous said...

It seems a majority of the Voorhees players have chosen the invite from PDA.

Anonymous said...

Pda south offers just went out if picked you will receive a large whopper and fries and maybe a hand job by bi manager or a friendly brunch with there miserable a hole parents that are delusional

Anonymous said...

1:27 Do you mean they're a sham as in players getting invited to PDA when they didn't even participate in tryouts? Is that the kind of sham you mean?

Anonymous said...

PDA south 2003 and 2004 rosters are now set. Congratulations to those who made the squad. Better luck next year to everyone else

Anonymous said...

2:28 PM, just a disgusting comment.

Anonymous said...

2:58 what's the matter you didn't get a rub and tug and yes all pda managers gargle balls

Anonymous said...

long live the mighty PDA south Xtreme

Anonymous said...

"long live the mighty PDA south Xtreme"

Meaning that is where the Voorhees Xtreme girls ended up?

One of my friends asked "Why do you pay so much money for your kids to do all their sports”? Well I have a confession to make; I don't pay for my kids to to do sports. Personally, I couldn't care less about what sport they do.

So, if I am not paying for sports what am I paying for?

- I pay for those moments when my kids become so tired they want to quit but don't.

- I pay for those days when my kids come home from school and are "too tired" to go to their training but they go anyway.

- I pay for my kids to learn to be disciplined, focused and dedicated.

- I pay for my kids to learn to take care of their body and equipment.

- I pay for my kids to learn to work with others and to be good team mates, gracious in defeat and humble in success.

- I pay for my kids to learn to deal with disappointment, when they don't get that placing or title they'd hoped for, but still they go back week after week giving it their best shot.

- I pay for my kids to learn to make and accomplish goals.

- I pay for my kids to respect, not only themselves, but other athletes, officials and coaches.

- I pay for my kids to learn that it takes hours and hours, years and years of hard work and practice to create a champion and that success does not happen overnight.

- I pay for my kids to be proud of small achievements, and to work towards long term goals.

- I pay for the opportunity my kids have and will have to make life-long friendships, create lifelong memories, to be as proud of their achievements as I am.

- I pay so that my kids can be out on the field or in the gym instead of in front of a screen...

...I could go on but, to be short, I don't pay for sports; I pay for the opportunities that sports provides my kids with to develop attributes that will serve them well throughout their lives and give them the opportunity to bless the lives of others. From what I have seen so far I think it is a great investment!

Anonymous said...

So all the 03 and 04 that were cut. Were will you play next year... Hopefully you had a backup plan.

Anonymous said...

Don't think Voorhees went to PDA S.

Lyon score was 3-0. SDFC only had one shot on goal. Credit to Galaxy's defense. They got bombarded.

Good luck to both teams tomorrow.

Anonymous said...

Credit to the SDFC goalie. Could have been 7-0 with an average kid in there.

Anonymous said...

PDA team is great at soccer, yes but PDA is the most physical team in that every single time a Galaxy player received a pass one of their PDA girls is there smashing our girls at stealing the ball over and over.

Great team and just too strong for us. Great run for our girls with lots of wins but this state cup not meant to be., should have

PDA is never afraid to play anyone. It just takes time for people to realize they are one of if not the top club in the country. Good talent finds them. They're all a lot of great players in jersey. There is only one PDA. As much as we criticize the club, at the end of the day we all want to be there. I give them credit for all they achieved. If nothing else I do have to respect them. Fun to watch.

Anonymous said...

The craziness of gotsoccer points really came to the forefront today. SDFC has now played PDA twice in a few months for about 150 minutes of soccer and have total of three shots on goal and one scored. PDA has probably 25 shots on goal with 8 scored in those two and yet for about another week or so SDFC will rank ahead of them.

Anonymous said...

That's why you should ignore got soccer points. Duh!

lyon wins 1-0. was a good game

Anonymous said...

PDA Lyon 1-0 over PDA Shore Freedom. Two best u12 teams in NJ. Great game but bad fields. Freedom played tough but got a bit tired because they only played 12/13 kids while Lyon played 18.

I get Coach trying to go with your best in a final but if they are too tired to get UP the field in the 2nd half, what good is it? #wastedfreshlegs #allshoregirlswantedtohelp

Anonymous said...

SDFC is better than PDA Shore

Anonymous said...

No they're not. SDFC isn't even close. Size & speed no comparison. If you saw both games this weekend, you know it's a fact.

Anonymous said...

SDFC is not better than PDA Shore. Not even close. Compare their games vs Lyon. SDFC maybe had one shot on goal and rest of game was played in their half. Lyon possession was 90%. Not even close to matching Lyon's style of physical play. PDA Shore gave Lyon a good game. They were *almost* a match in the physical game, except they whined a little too much. Couldn't beat Lyon's deep bench and speed of play. Lyon possession was about 70%. Shore did have some good shots on goal, better than any other team Lyon has played this year.

Then again, got soccer has them as #1 in NJ. Pffffffffffft

Anonymous said...

The sun is out for the first time in what seems like forever!!! Go out and enjoy people. Congrats PDA Lyon! Best team around bar none and I am NOT a PDA parent. Now I must go enjoy the sun and my family.

Anonymous said...

freedom played with 11 and lyon played with 10 towards the end

Anonymous said...

Freedom with 11 vs 10 for 20-22 minutes got NO shots on goal during that stretch. They were going up hill in 2nd half, though after making no subs so all their dangerous plays happened in 1st half - down hill. terrible fields BTW

Anonymous said...

If it was only 1-0 and such a good, hard, competitive game, why was Lyon playing with only 10? Something tells me PDA did not want one of their teams beating another of their teams by a landslide. I know from seeing Lyon play that they are a fantastic, skilled, smart team worthy of high praise. But I will not read into the 1-0 score over Freedom to mean Freedom is that good.

Anonymous said...

8:51 red card for lyon

Anonymous said...

Freedom played us very tough. Nice team with some strong players. Never really threatened offensively but for the first time all year we played against a physical team that didn't back down. Much respect for that. The red card was unfortunate but deserved. Great player that usually holds in emotion. And trust me she does get "picked on" a lot. So keep your heads up. Well played game.

Anonymous said...

For Freedom to have held Lyon to 1-0 speaks about their skill. They proved to be a challenging opponent. Lyon has pretty much decimated the entire NJ U12 landscape (and other states as well) so 1-0 and a couple of shots on the Lyon goalie is pretty damn good. Congrats to Lyon for their back-to-back championship. Too bad we can't see a South Shore rematch.

Anonymous said...

A red card in U12 soccer is pathetic. Shameful actually. Hoping it was an overzealous ref and not a deserved RC.

Anonymous said...

No need for the red card was it a fight no
Sliding tackle no hello should have been a
Warning to both players!Just a physical game.

Anonymous said...

The Lyon player threw a closed fist punch at the Freedom players stomach right in front of the referee. That is a deserved red card.

Anonymous said...

The last 3 posts on this topic are from the same sorry person wanting to start something. If you were there you saw a punch or slap from each kid & ref saw the last one and a red card was given. Shore then had a half hour to do something with its man adavantage and proceeded to create 0 shots on goal the rest of the way.

Anonymous said...

7:26 you obviously were not there. It was in the last 10 minutes of the game. The Freedom player did not strike the Lyon player. The two players were battling for the ball which then went out of bounds, the two players continued to be tangled up and pushed off each other to separate, the Lyon player then punched the Freedom player. It was with 10 minutes left in the game, maybe 8. You're right, the Freedom did not get a shot in those last 8 minutes but did get down the field forcing a corner kick and direct kick. If you don't think the red card was deserved, you don't know soccer. Good luck to you.

Did "the" Lyon dad cheer the red card? Our girls are amazing kids. It is we who screw them up. Have heard many parents from many teams cheering fouls. And a punch is a red card. In U12 it should be a season ending suspension. And I'm 10:46pm and did not make any other comments until now. Some serious anger on this board. Grrrrrrrr.

This Freedom parent is so stupid he can't enjoy the feeling of a tiny bit of relevance. It was a really good game. The foul was called red. By making it out to be more than it was, you embarrass the rest of the parents on the Freedom who would rather have the attention placed on how well they played in a state cup final. #angermanagement #enjoytheride

For the record, I'm neither a Freedom nor a Lyon parent but who cares anyway. Both are excellent teams. Lyon is exceptional actually. Discussing a red card in a U12 soccer game is quite relevant. Sounds like the parents of the girl who threw the punch could use some #angermanagement as you say. But hey, maybe this type of play is acceptable to you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2E1fMx7jgxQ

At this age most referees refuse to give out yellow cards let alone reds. It's a mistake, they should be giving yellow and reds per the rules of the game IMO.

From a legal prospective, it's assault. Why do parents and kids think they can do things like that? Punching opposing players in the stomach or face and yes on purpose. Or flat out with two hands throwing a player to the ground because they didn't get the ball from them. I'm tired of hearing oh it was just a physical game. A physical game doesn't involve all of that. NO it's not part of the game. Obviously these parents DO NOT KNOW HOW THE GAME OF SOCCER IS TO BE PLAYED. I guess grabbing arms and twisting them are part of the game to right? Or stomping someone's ankle after the ball is long gone to the point they need a cast is ok, right? I'm thinking maybe instead of shoveling out thousands of dollars to teach your kids to play MMA style, you pay to teach your kids to play the correct way. I've noticed plenty of teams, after arguments on the sidelines because of the dirty crap going on on the field, get the talking to, should be carded because that is how the rules go and maybe it will stop, but after several warnings the dirty team starts to play "right" and in Turn can't actually play at all.

I play keeper very fine.
When the ball comes it’s all mine.
Bam!! Goes the ball off the pole.
I just saved another goal.
Whack!! The ball has been shot.
It comes to me and I’ve caught.
You can try and try and try.
You will never get the ball by.

I'm a poet and didn't even know it!

I have to agree with 10:40. Referees should be applying the rules properly and issuing yellows & reds. Frankly it's the only way to force coaches to coach their players properly! Sure it's a physical game but so many of the fouls are unnecessary and dangerous. Put a kid on warning that another crap foul and you're out of the game, and I bet the coach starts to REALLY discuss with that player the difference between playing hard and playing dirty. And you all know there's not a coach out there who is telling his or her players to tone it down unless the referee forces it.

Played a game yesterday where the other team was called 10+ times for pushing and elbows including 3-4 two handed pushes from the back. The same kid was called 3-4 times and no yellow. When you play a team like this who is clearly instructed to play like this, if you don't call to the rules you risk changing the outcome of the game.

PDA is a dirty team, about time they got called for it.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, we've all seen it. There are definitely some PDA teams that try to play good technical soccer, but when they can't, they get rough. Same is true for other teams. You never hear the coaches correct the behavior. Sometimes they win, sometimes they lose. I don't mind a physical game, but the late challenges, the pushes in the back, the extra elbows are ridiculous. They're disallowing headers for younger players, but the girls are much more likely to get a concussion or other serious injury from the reckless fouls that go unchecked than from a header.

Ever notice that everyone that wins is dirty and everyone that loses plays the right way.

Anonymous said...

3:22 - Yup, and that's PDA's argument every time they lose a game.

Anonymous said...

If you would have won would it really be an issue
and for playing dirty ask the teams that lyon has
Played you can let it go now no one was hurt just
like stirring the pot move on!

PSA Lyon is a very talented team, the girls work hard and put a lot of effort into getting better, it's a shame their parents don't do the same. Classless cunts.

i love how you pathetic shore parents are wussing on this blog. look who took the medals, shut up

you guys are nuts. PDA is one of the least likely teams to play dirty soccer. Doesn't mean they never do it, but it would be an aberration. It's much more likely to be some town team with a jerk coach. PDA can play physical ball though. Point is that the referees allow too much of the garbage plays to go on. I'm sure that a little 12-year old superstar gets frustrated when play doesn't go her way, but that's no excuse for late challenges and flying elbows. And if the little superstar loses control, somebody has to keep her in check ... and that somebody is the referee. It sure ain't the coach or her mom & dad.

Hey 3;47 only your wife is one. I would love to beat your ass

And take your talentless kid to a town team. You obviously can't handle the big time. Now move your trailer and go get a job.

You are a loser living through your daughter, get a life, you friggin loser.

hmmm just let LYON'S RECORDS, SCORES, ACCOMPLISHMENTS speak for them.. stop whining and start getting your kids ready so maybe they'll actually beat them

You jersey folks are full of anger.

SDFC would beat PDA shore easily. Not even close. Unfortunate the brackets worked out that way. Shore was lucky to get past a broken Middletown team.
