VIEWER REQUEST! U11G U11 Girls Youth Soccer

U11 girls' teams are facing the 11 v. 11 playing field for the first time. This is a time when players develop a true love for the game and the focus is a little more intense, on the field and on the sidelines...

PDA South is just an average team. The are most likely the third best team for PDA in this age group.

Any more scores from the Voorhees tourny. Thanks

Anonymous said...

PDA SOUTH played very well. I was at the tournament. They passed the ball real well , switched fields and were able to complete passes to score. Not bad for JUST A AVERAGE team . This kick and run I kept reading about was not how they played this weekend. There was no fast super player no one breaking away. very well passing and moving the ball up field to score. Must be a newer team from what I read about on this blog . Seems to me they were better than average.

Anonymous said...

When facing weak teams an AVERAGE team will look decent. Your tournament was weak, no top teams. Play PDA South or PDA Lyon and then discuss how well you move the ball up the field. Fall season is a tell all. Will be a lot of fun for all the teams not just PDA

Anonymous said...

South SHORE that is ^

Anonymous said...

Here we go with the PDA Shore/Tom's River talk. One of the biggest dump and chase teams there is. When YOU played the top team this weekend, it was easily shut down. Don't go lumping yourself in with Lyon, you're not even in the same discussion.

Anonymous said...

Ok I get what u are saying about playing weaker teams I mean that obvious to everyone on this blog. .The Humville hotshots from PA are not a weak team. Pda south tied . Ok they didnt win but they didnt lose. But the Voorhees tournament no one can say was strong. It was the same teams playing each other. All were in SJGL except for 3. Wildcats, toms river , barrington. Big deal. Your right wait till fall and lets see. 11 v 11 is very different. Hope every team adjusts to the bigger fields.

Anonymous said...

Voorhees was a much tougher tourney. All god teams. Mssl tourney was not very competitive

Anonymous said...

That's silly to say the Voorhees tournament wasn't good because it's the same teams that play each other in the regular season. That doesn't make any sense especially when you're trying to make a case that the Ft Dix was good. Listen it's not your fault that more quality teams didn't sign up for the MSSL event but don't try and save face by talking bad about the Voorhees tournament.

I don't even care that you lost to the Barons B team. Was it a bad loss? Sure, but all teams have bad losses from time to time. If you played them 10 more times, I'm sure PDA would win 10 times. Who cares? You have some new kids and they need to get used to each other. I'm sure your team will be fine.

Anonymous said...

Never talked bad about voorhees tournament . Just said not strong. The same teams play each other in sjgl played in this tournament. Nothing wrong with that . So how can it be strong . Not save face for saying it either. Its the truth. Happy they had a great tournament . Hope it was excellant with great games and I hope all the teams had a great time . Please do not twist my words . Nev er said it was bad , just not strong. My opinion. No one elses but mine. So relax .

Anonymous said...

I hear you - guess I misunderstood you. I tend to think a tournament with 4 or the 5 better teams in the state would be considered strong. Especially when 4 of the 5 best South Jersey teams were there (SJEB was the only one missing). You're right though just an opinion.

Some teams are going to full sided next year but definitely not ready for it. Can't expect good results full sided when you haven't proven to be a top small sided team. We'll see how it goes, good luck whichever way your daughters team plays.

What teams are going 11v11 and what teams are going 8v8 in the fall.

I just want to know how that the top 4 or 5 teams that play all the time against each other during league play now play against each other in a tournament can be a strong tournament. Maybe strong is the wrong word. Challenging is a better word . I know I would like to play other teams then the same teams over and over again. Weather we win or lose. Weather they are better or not . But I hope they would be better to make our team or any team try hard and work harder as a team.
Voorhees won the tournament if scores at u10 counted . Right??
And do not get me wrong . They are a great team . Congrats to all the teams . And to voorhees . But would like to play different teams in a tournament. Thats all I was trying to say .

Regarding PDA South, their best (or one of their best) players, the speedy forward, played with Medford at the Voorhees Tournament this past weekend. I believe from what I heard parents say on the sidelines was that she has either moved over already or will be joining them full-time in the Fall.

Anonymous said...

Why are you telling us this? It is not important. Didnt Medford lose 2 games at that tournament.

Anonymous said...

Probably because it's a soccer blog. Yes, they lost two games I believe.

Anonymous said...

And PDA south would of lost 4 games if they entered a quality tournament considering they lost to SJEB (b) squad. PDA = Weak team minus mid fielder.

Anonymous said...

Looks like the troll is back. Everyone should just ignore him/her and stick to soccer talk. This person probably doesn't even have a kid in this age group. Just stirring up trouble.

Anonymous said...

Omg it must be driving u crazy PDA . All u do is bad mouth this team. So everyone is bad now except the midfielder. Wow ... how would you know. If u are going to tear a team down at least have guts to use your name. If your that confident and sure u can back it up . State your name.

Anonymous said...

Cloudy and cold again...

Anonymous said...

St Mary's has the best team out there!

Anonymous said...

Lets see - PDA South, Medford and to a certain extent Voorhees constantly get harassed here. Is it that hard to figure out what team most of the comments come from?

It's ok, just breathe in a let it out slowly. See, you're still alive and everything is ok. There are thousands of girls that need a team to play on, not everyone of them can play on the same team. Just relax and enjoy the next several years.

Anonymous said...

Any summer tournaments coming up .?
Are any teams playing u 11 or going to stay 8 v 8 summer and fall.

Anonymous said...

Rider cup at the end of June...look at accepted teams to see what age group girls r playing in

Anonymous said...

does anyone know if they put together a pda shore team in this age group.

Anonymous said...

The Toms River team became the PDA Shore team. Not sure how many more they added from the tryout.

Anonymous said...

So the toms river fire became pda shore. I guess if they add a few other girls they should be very good.

My only question is why would you pay all that money to play with the same team and just to put pda on your chest

Anonymous said...

The only good PDA program is the north, the rest of them are horrible, just look at the stats of the south teams

Anonymous said...

Maybe you're talking about Lyon. Lyon Blue not very good. So-so at best

Anonymous said...

Pda Lyon Blue is 16-2 in Jags since the fall against ally he best teams this age group has to offer.. If they are just so-so as you say then this entire age group stinks.

Who would you consider good ?

Anonymous said...

What top teams have they beat...voorhees...Marlton...Sjeb east team...nj crush toms river what top teams have they beat....Sjeb west good job they are terrible or second rate Jps team....just curious what top teams

Anonymous said...

JAGS has the best this age group has to offer? Not even close to reality. PDA Lyon who is the best North team, plays a year up. The only other "top" teams that play in JAGS are Middletown, NJ Crush Fire, Medford and Toms River. No Voorhees, South Jersey Barons East (the good Barons team), Marlton, Cherry Hill, PDA South.

You're right that my original comment was overstated. Blue is a nice team, but come on with the "best this age group has to offer" nonsense.

Anonymous said...

I would consider good a division one like the SJGSL Premier division.

Voorhees,
Barons (East)
Medford
Marlton
Cherry Hill
PDA South

Show me a better division in any league, anywhere in NJ. Those teams play a tough game EVERY week.

Anonymous said...

I agree the barons west team is in top bracket in jags that isn't saying to much plus Lyon blue probably didn't even play the top teams just schedule craps games all season....just like the war at the shore tourny coming up I don't understand why PDA does a crappy tourny then they brag about winning it funny stuff

Anonymous said...

10:13 while I agree Voorhees, Sjeb, cherry hill, marlton (average)are all top teams, the rest of the best at this age play Jags. I would say 15 out of the top 20 play jags. I don't include Lyon because they don't play u10
And Pda south does play jags

Anonymous said...

TRC, NJ Crush, Middletown, and Lyon Blue are all better teams than any of the SJGSL other than Voorhees.

Lyon Blue not better than all those teams except Voorhees. I'm sure they're close but not better. You have to beat someone to say you're better, no? And actually at this age, it doesn't matter. There will be so many changes in the next few years.

What tournaments are they playing in this summer? 8v8 or 11v11?

Anonymous said...

Sjeb beat toms river already n lost to voorhees 2-1 past 2 games...I think it's funny how people talk when teams never played

Anonymous said...

I'll give you SJEB and I agree not important, but harmless.

SJEB is as good as anyone out there. I'd say based on results, the top teams are (in no particular order), Voorhees, PDA Lyon, SJEB, NJ Crush, Middletown, Medford, Toms River.

The next group which is very close would be PDA Lyon Blue, Brick, NJ Wildcats, SDFC, Marlton, Marlboro, STA Red and PDA South Barcelona.

Can any of these teams beat the others? Sure but if you play them out over a full season, this is probably how it would shake out.

It will also be hard to judge from this point on as the for-profits like PDA and SJEB will go 11v11 and most non-profits and town teams will stay 8v8. You'll have to judge two separate groups at U11. Either way, keep an eye on your daughter's growth and happiness, those are the important things.

Cheers!

Anonymous said...

11:43 has it very close. Top ten in no order.
Voorhees, Sjeb, pda Lyon, Middletown, nj crush,Medford, toms river,Lyon blue, nj wildcats, Sdfc.
The next ten again no order Marlboro,Brick, Hamilton white,PDA South,Stronghold, marlton, Sta Red, JPS,cherry hill,Nutley

All of these teams are capable of beating each other on any given day. But moving forward these are the top 20.

11:43 is also correct in that we will have to see which teams are playing 8v8 and which are playing 11v11.there might also be lots of movement with all the kids on these teams come fall.

PDA i hear is going 11 v 11 next year. I have seen a few of these teams play and PDA has by far the strongest team at this point. We will see what happens in the fall.

Anonymous said...

3:14

Which PDA team are you referring to? Lyon, Lyon Blue or Barcelona?

Anonymous said...

Has to be Lyon...I have seen other 2 play n they r not top tier teams just average...Barcelona lost to Sjeb west....only seen Lyon blue play once they r not top level..Lyon is there good team they r top team with voorhees at the moment like to see those 2 teams play
1. Voorhees
2. PDA Lyon
3. Sjeb east
4. Nj crush
5. Middle town
6. Toms river
7. Medford
That's is last season don't know what teams add girls wise so this could change come fall..I know Sjeb and Medford have made some changes.....

Anonymous said...

We will see what happens at u-12 when everyone will be on the big field that's when changes come cause some clubs won't get enough good girls to keep team strong

Anonymous said...

what changes have sjeb and medford made?

Anonymous said...

voorhees, medford, middletown, brick, marlton, marlboro ,cherry hill and the rest of the town teams will drop off over the next year or two. enjoy the success while you can

Anonymous said...

6:42

Says the angry PDA parent who keeps writing checks for $2500+ while other town teams are clearly better. Keep drinking the Kool-Aid...and keep writing your checks

Anonymous said...

Really name one town team that is better. Please I need a laugh.

Anonymous said...

Voorhees....Lyon days r numbered they have no speed...that was proven vs south shore elite...and voorhees they can't Handle fast teams

Anonymous said...

Vorhees? Please another above average team. I'm sure they will meet up in the fall at some tourney. If vorhees is playing 11v11.

Anonymous said...

PDA is a not for profit.

Anonymous said...

8:57

You're right, technically PDA, SJEB, Match Fit, etc are all 501c 3's which make them non-profits. But let's face it, that's just to achieve tax exempt status. They are for-profits in every other sense and you know it. There's nothing wrong with that either, but the original point was: how about I just say the "bigger" clubs will go full-sided to get more income to support their "missions". Again, nothing wrong with that...unless it's only for the almighty dollar and not for the true development of the kids.

Everyone has pretty much agreed that small-sided play fosters better development at this age. Why is NJ so far behind the curve of playing U11 small-sided? These kids aren't ready for the big field yet and this is why NJ routinely gets hammered at the older ages at the national events. You'll see next year who was ready for full-sided and who wasn't and at U12 I highly doubt the teams that play full-sided at U11 will dominate the ones that didn't.

Anonymous said...

I agree my kid is going full sided this year...but it's still soccer... not gonna make that big of difference for teams that r staying 8v8...if the girls can play they will be fine on any field

Anonymous said...

95% of the teams at U11 in NJ will be 8v8 next year. Those that aren't, I'd like to hear the rational behind the decision. Hard to learn and perfect the finer points of the game at this age full sided. Kids will develop bad habits, and lose ground to the kids playing 8v8.

Anonymous said...

How do they loose ground...people always say it's about the training games r just a bonus for the kids...so in reality as long as they r playing soccer who cares

Anonymous said...

People don't always say that, maybe people in NJ say that, but not the rest of the country and rest of the world for that matter. The training prepares them for games. There's a reason NJ is one of the few states that play full-sided at U11. The FA recently voted for youth soccer players not to play full sided matches until U13. I'd say the FA knows a little more about soccer than NJ.

"The smaller versions of the game will enable more touches, dribbles, one-on-ones, more involvement and more enjoyment. Where children are enjoying the game more, they are getting better, so that runs hand in hand with development."

PDA Crew parent here (U11 north team). Crew played up at U12 at War at the Shore - Father's Day tourney in Freehold and did not play that well. I did see a lot of U-10 PDA games this weekend. My main interest is because my daughter is a 5th grader who could play down at U10 with mostly 4th graders because of her birthday...

War At The Shore in Freehold Platinum U11 bracket was pretty good. All U10 PDA teams played up at U11 for 11 v 11 match-ups.

PDA South drew 0-0 vs Lyon Blue. No meaningful offense from either team. Even match-up but Blue appeared to posses more and had a couple more shots toward the goal. But neither team test the goalies much.

Lyon destroyed Lyon Blue 6-0. After 6th goal at like 45 minute mark, coach pulled two girls and they played keep away with two girls down for a full 15 minutes.. Very similar to U11 PDA Galaxy in terms of soccer skill, speed & passing with exception that all four or five girls up front could finish. In midfield & defense Lyon played like boys to be honest. Blue had no legit opportunities. Galaxy tends to win 2-0, 3-0 vs decent teams..,Lyon could have scored 8 or 9 to be fair.

Anonymous said...

Yeah but Lyon didn't do that well against other teams just other PDA team..I mean if the A team lost to the B then there a problem...they should beat Lyon blue there B team let be realistic...I sure ur a Lyon parent no need to brag about beating weak team like u guys always do..how come PDA Lyon never plays any top u-11 teams only sub par teams then brags how good they are...great job at war of the shore with terrible teams...why doesn't PDA play in any good tourny with the top teams then u can brag until then keep playing weak teams and enjoying the meaningless win...

Anonymous said...

Just curious , why would PDA LYON THE A TEAM AND PDA LYON BLUE B TEAM from North ENTER THE SAME TOURNAMENT IN THE SAME BRACKET. DONT THEY PRACTICE AGAINST EACH OTHER EVERY WEEK. SEEMS TO ME AND AGAIN ONLY ME AND MY THOUGHT , THAT IT WAS TO MAKE SURE PDA LYON GOT AN EASY 3 POINTS TO uP THEIR TALLY ON THE SCORE BOARD AND to make the Gf and GA in their favor if it came down to it. Shame That they do this . Play against other teams you paid to play against yourselves when u do that every week for free . Lol doesnt make sense. Fee bad for b team . Used imho . But that is my feeling.

Anonymous said...

are you sure you are a CREW parent? You sound like the same guy who is always on here thinking your PDA u10 team is the best and can beat all the u11 teams. I don't believe galaxy got beat like you did in your own tournament. You lost by many goals and they won everything. if you were a Crew parent, you wouldn't call yourself out like that, everyone would know who you are.

People dislike PDA and then you come along and make things worse for them. Go back to u10 and talk your BS.

Anonymous said...

Sounds like PDA should be looking at the Lyon front line and maybe the boys in the middle to replace a bunch of the u11 girls. Do your girls get invited up and dominate the older girls when they play? Does your doc know how great this team is compared to the older girls? Must be one of those very rare and special teams. Thanks Lyon DAD for the info.

Anonymous said...

Funny, just checked and Crew did fine in a u12 bracket. Played some decent u12 teams including stronghold and held their own, and kept all games close and won one. Why is that so bad Crew dad? The Lyons only beat the b team badly, all else was close. Why are you so impressed with this team? Or obsessed?

Anonymous said...

PDA Lyon only had one blowout against their second team. What are you talking about they could have scored 8 or 9? Against who? The teams you barely beat? Why are you comparing yourself to your second and third teams as well a your older team? You have done this in the past and then got blown out in the PDA tournament.
Agree with the above poster, your older team came away with all wins and you got blown out. I saw the games and your 4 or 5 girls upfront were not all - putting anything away.

Anonymous said...

Jeez, even the PDA "family" can't get along. What a bunch of lunatics!

Anonymous said...

What a bunch of crazy haters. I watched Lyon closely and I think Lyon is a very good team but not because of individuals - which they have plenty of - but because of depth.

Depth is what substitutes Lyon from Vorhees or any other squad at U10 in NJ. Lyon could field two 8 v 8 teams and either of them would beat Middletown again 4-0 and play with Vorhees or whoever else anyone thinks is good. It's why they can play 11 v11 U11teams and still have quality performances. Stop hating!

Anonymous said...

It's not hating just the truth...u can play u-11 but u haven't beat any of the good u-11 teams...only sub par teams so far don't brag if ur not gonna play the better u-11 teams...Sjeb u-10 beat the u-11 nj stallions team I didn't see them post there win..n stallions r a good team..let me know when Lyon beats Sjeb u-11 or pipeline or Pda Nova or PDA galaxy or Hamilton rush team until them don't post ur u-11 wins against bad comp...they brag how good they r but don't play in any good tournaments where the get good games cause they don't wanna loose and have all the parents ask y pay all this money so they play second rate u-11 teams to make them feel better...

Anonymous said...

Is PDA Lyon gonna play u-11 this year or u-12

Anonymous said...

To PDA South Dad. Your head coach knows you are on here talking terrible stuff. Its time to look for another club. You have the whole sumer to figure it out and do it on your own or just be told to after you've paid in full. It's coming - parents on Barcelona are saddened by your actions and embarrassed for your daughter. Please leave.

Anonymous said...

I am not a PDA south dad....but thanks for asking...my kid plays on nj crush

Anonymous said...

I see zero mention about PDA south here?

Anonymous said...

I believe the Lyon dad calling himself a crew dad has the issues. I would think the DOC of PDA would want you to leave. Pretty sure they know who you are, based on your belief that your child can play at u13 if up to you.

Anonymous said...

I think what he wants to say is that PDA should make the Lyons the A team for u11. Take galaxy to be B team, they don't have the depth that Lyons have to score and the Lyons can beat other u11 teams easily and galaxy can not. Have you ever played galaxy? Why dont you move your daughter up and show them how good she really is.

I love all the Lyon talk. It just shows how jealous everyone is. Again I'm not sure why people care so much. I guess they didn't make the team this year at tryouts. Don't take it so hard. Worry about building a winner at your club. Do your talking on the field. See you in the fall and food luck.

And blame the tournament director for the tournament schedule. Oh I guess the PDA coach set that up. Every age bracket. My bad. I'm dealing with a bunch of idiots on here. I hope you're all pulling my leg.

BTW -The PDA Barcelona Dad who knows all about S.Jersey soccer and wants Lyon to play better U11 teams(think about that statement btw) then claims to actually be a NJ Crush dad…

If you were an NJ Crush dad you would know that this very spring season Lyon beat both U11 NJ Crush Flames and U11 Flames White U11 teams - top 20 & top 40 U11 teams. You are a tool a gargantuan per proportions my friend!

Anonymous said...

Where was voorhees...Sjeb...PDA...Middletown for this tourny

Anonymous said...

Looks like Middletown played in Neptune and not sure about Voorhees. Likewise for SJEB and PDA although they are playing full-sided this summer and next fall so they would have been in different age/flight anyway.

Some teams take a break after the spring season. It was nice to play a few different teams.

Congrats to PDA Strikers, they are a very skilled U9 team and they had a nice showing. They can compete with most of, if not all the U10 teams.

Anonymous said...

So are most u11 teams playing 8v8 or 11v11 for next year? Thought the push was towards staying small sided but at Rider Cup this weekend we heard majority will play large sided.

Anonymous said...

Who did you hear is going full sided that leads you to believe "majority will play full sided"? Were those mostly North teams?

Voorhees, Marlton, Real (Medford), Cherry Hill are all staying small. PDA South and SJEB are going full.

Anonymous said...

Thank you for the response. I don't know what teams, but maybe north teams. Our parent manager said he was told that up to 3/4 of teams in JAGS/EDP will be large sided at u11.

Anonymous said...

Who is gonna be top 8v8 team and who is gonna be top 11v11 team at this age

Anonymous said...

Why even entertain that question? It only stirs up trouble and who really cares anyway? There will be many "top level" teams at both size fields. What you should be asking yourself is, "what size field is better for my daughter's development at this age?"

Anonymous said...

8v8 or 11v11. Doesn't matter. Your kid can play or she can't. As long as you train on the side you'll be fine.

Anonymous said...

Most of the North teams will be 8v8.

Anonymous said...

Looks like toms river should take top bracket at central jersey invational tourny

Anonymous said...

Sjeb are the best team in Cji. Toms river won't even make the finals.

Anonymous said...

CJI has a weak draw in the U10 bracket. Toms River and SJEB should have been in separate groups so they could play in the finals.

Why is SJEB paying small sided when they're going full sided in the fall? They could have at least stepped up to U11 and played full sided like PDA South did.

Anonymous said...

Sjeb played last 3 tourny full sided must be a numbers thing with girls

A new player is in the mix! Watch this new Monmouth United team coming up! At least five awesome players from Red Bank rec joined! PDA AND VOOHEES days are numbered!

Anonymous said...

Very intelligent statement. When are you people going to realize how stupid you sound. I don't think PDA or vorhees are losing any sleep.

Anonymous said...

Red bank rec. you couldn't do better than that. Sounds like another c level rec team folded and the kids have no where to go. What a shame.

Anonymous said...

Oh please. Monmouth U! Vorhees is the top team in the state and will continue to be unless we lose a player or two!

Anonymous said...

Top team at u 10. I would love to hear how you came up with that one.

Anonymous said...

Easy, WE WIN ALL THE TIME! State Champions!

Anonymous said...

You're a good rec team at best. It will all play out next year on the big field. I hope you continue living they your kid.

Anonymous said...

And we all know the best team in the state by far didn't bother with state cup.

Anonymous said...

Ohhhh! Somebody be jelly! ;-(

Anonymous said...

As of right now voorhees is the top team in nj till someone beats them n beats them on a regular not just one game..wait till u-12 when everyone gets on the big field then we can talk but as of right now voorhees is a very strong team..my kid doesn't play there but u have to give credit where credit is due...it sounds like PDA Lyon parent isn't happy they weren't labeled as the top team..but when u play up n play B teams that's what u get...is Lyon playing up this year again..

Anonymous said...

Truth is PDA Lyon is the best team. Let's be real. Why play in state cup against a bunch of u 10 b teams?. Not worth it. The vorhees parent who wants to believe they are the best team that's fine. They know the two teams won't play for another year. Unless vorhees goes to the big field. So at this point I'm done talk about another irreverent team. Funny thing is they will follow PDA all year because they can't help themselves. It's good to be on top.

PDA Lyon - Keep playing up a year against the weak B teams. We all saw what happened when you played a good U10 team in your own tournament...you got spanked 4-0.

Anonymous said...

It was 3-0. I knew it. You are so obsessed with PDA. You proved my point. You follow every game. Funny thing is I never heard of vorhees until now. Would love to play you in the fall.

Anonymous said...

haha, delusional PDA parent arguing whether they got beat 4-0 or 3-0. How comical.

Anonymous said...

How is that delusional. I was there. What's delusional is that people follow us like they do. I could care less about any other team. Everyone knows who the best team is. Stop hating. Beat the girls on the field then you can comment. That team we played were unbelievable and I said that after the game. Hats off to them. That's the only team we ever played u 10 and u 11 that outplayed us. Next fall we are playing 11 v 11. Hope to see you pretenders on the pitch.

Anonymous said...

It's a long road. Keep your ego in check. The bottom line is as they get older the talent level will increase even more. Wouldn't be surprised to see all the top talent trying to get on a PDA team in the next few years. It happens at every age group. Just the facts. Go on the PDA web site and see how the current ecnl teams are doing at a national level.

Anonymous said...

Match fit! Forget PD-who ever!

Anonymous said...

Match fit? Another wanna be club. Too funny

Anonymous said...

ECNL = a league created by PDA so they can run and hide from the competition and then say, "we play in the ECNL, we don't have to play your team". You're so clueless, keep writing your check and drinking the Kool-aid.

Anonymous said...

Match fit they r playing in the bottom bracket at central jersey tourny..u never heard of voorhees didn't u play them in a scrimmage fest oh yeah PDA Lyon likes to deny any losses that they had...voorhees beat u south shore elite beat ur ass...other teams r catching up to ur team that doesn't have any speed

Anonymous said...

Yes Pda created ecnl. I never have heard such an idiotic statement. Scrimmage fest? Really. I'm sorry that we are all millionaires and spending 10 k a year. I'm also sorry that you live in a trailer park in vorhees. Here's and idea. Stop blogging all day from your couch and get a freaking job. Then maybe your little Susie can play for a relevant club. You know deep down that you are just another average town team that will continue to play other average town teams. I really hope we see you in a future tourney,if you can afford it, so we can kick your ass. You really have 0 chance. The only good thing in vorhees is the flyers train there.

Anonymous said...

PDA. Top girls club 3 years running. Vorheees. Somewhere in jersey. Too funny.

Anonymous said...

Hold on I can't stop laughing. scrimmage fest. Too funny. You are judging your team from a scrimmage. Too freaking funny. I needed a good laugh. That was the PDA b team. Just keeping telling yourself how good you are. Thanks again I needed a good laugh.

Anonymous said...

I'm still not done laughing from watching you get you butts kicked by South Shore Select. Now that was funny watching all you people who pinch your pennies to save and send your kids to pda fuming over that whipping.

Anonymous said...

That was not the B team funny how PDA Lyon talks a big game about no comp at u-11 past year that no u-11 team challenged there little u-10 angles...but is funny I like to see u play u-11 Sjeb or Hamilton rush team..they would beat ur ass...I think the u-10 Sjeb will be a good game vs u guys but I sure u don't think so cause ur PDA team is so great...millionaires please ur on this blog and u don't even have a job good thing ur wife takes care if u....and u don't have to be rich to be a great soccer player..so u can take that to the bank and wipe my ass with it

Only the strong survive! The weak crawl away, and the champions rise from the ashes of the lower teams! Be one with the PDA movement!

Anonymous said...

Where's all the Baron's talk today? Remember you said you were the best team at CJI (Lost to Bergen in the final)

How about the one that said Toms River would win the top bracket (finished THIRD out of FOUR in their flight)

Lesson learned people???

Anonymous said...

Toms River is still the best team!
Lessons learned loser!

Your THIRD place finish at CJI says otherwise loser.

BBSC has had a huge spring. How did they get so much better? Great job there.

Anonymous said...

Who is BBSC?

Anonymous said...

These summer tournaments are useless. All money makers. Save your cash.

Anonymous said...

Man this web site is boring. Where are all the PDA wanna bees? I guess they're all scrambling to find better place. Lmao.

Anonymous said...

Toms River has a team that just became a PDA shore team. One of the best girls team I've seen compete! The parents stink, but the players a real competitors. One of the best goalies at this age!

Anonymous said...

11:15 where did you see pda shore compete? If the TR. fire moved to pda than they are the same a little above average team they were before

Anonymous said...

Just curious, what's wrong with above average? That would mean they are one of the better teams, no? Average would be just that and below average would be the not so good teams.

Why do all you crazy parents Jane make everything so negative?

Anonymous said...

***have to make

??

The Toms River team was good. Most teams are good. It's the the "I'm better then you" parents that are less then average! Just think if all you girls as good as you think, the US soccer club needs a bigger facility to accomadate all the awesomeness! PDA forever!

EDP Brackets are out. Clearly many teams are staying 8v8. Why would the 11v11 division be broken into 2 divisions with barely 5/4 teams in each grouping. Why not just make it 1 division with 9 teams? Given the 8v8 divisions have 7-9 teams per division. Just food for thought.

What happened to the mighty Toms River? Playing Jags I guess. No PDA Shore in Edp. Did they not get enough kids to form a team at this age

Anonymous said...

5 of the 9 teams that are playing full-sided are from SJEB and PDA. Obviously for them it's more about getting a roster of 18 girls and padding the bank account than true development.

Where is PDA Shore playing? JAGS?

Anonymous said...

8v8 first division is by far the strongest. I'd guess Lyon is still going to play a U12 Jags schedule. Interesting.

Anonymous said...

Why do you care where Lyon play? Worry about your own team. We will be fine. Thanks

Anonymous said...

Lyon is smart playing older kids it will only make them stronger in the long run...people worry about other teams way to much....they r a good team have to give them that but other teams r getting better should be a good year of soccer...

Anonymous said...

Nobody is worrying about Lyon. Don't be so uptight. I was just curious because clearly the way the EDP brackets shaped up you can't make a competitive schedule with those teams. I have lots of respect for your team and PDA in general and have lots of friends there.

Anonymous said...

PDA Lyon does have the weaker bracket in the group....why is the NY team in the south bracket and not the north just curious that confused me

Anonymous said...

I just do t get the move to 8v8? Why because that's what they do in Europe? The American brand of is different, and as we all saw during the World Cup needs improvement, but in a few years our soccer will be ready for the world stage. Please don't hand out that "more touches" stuff that their force feeding us! Bigger fields means more space, more touches, more need for athletic ability!

Anonymous said...

I agree u have 10 girls on the field touching the ball instead of 7...at u-11 and 12 the goalie can't punt the ball almost the length of the field...I rather have them on the bigger field learning positions and how to play them it is a different game at 11v11

Anonymous said...

Has nothing to do with touches. The small field forces them to be more technical, and make quicker decisions, less nad habits. 90% of the clubs in NJ are staying 8v8.

Anonymous said...

90% of clubs can't get 18 talented girls so they stick with 8 v 8. They try to eak out one more year of being competitive with their 5 or 6 good athletes they throw out there. When you get on the big field for 60 minutes your talent will thin out and the top academies of the world overwhelm you with depth of soccer talent.

Anonymous said...

LOL. Yes, that's the reason. 90% of ECNL clubs are 8v8 at U11. Yours may not be, but I can guarantee the decision to move to 11v11 was not based on development.

Anonymous said...

Lets do the math. 4 u11 Pda teams multiply by 6 extra players per team. 24x 2000= $$$. Obviously going 11v11 was for development.

Anonymous said...

So every club that goes 11v11 is out for money? Seriously people.

Anonymous said...

My kid is going 11v11 and I am happy about it..if your kid is a good player it doesn't matter what size field they play on they either have it or they don't..8v8 keeps a lot of the town teams together for another year....just like anyone that goes off of got soccer ranking that is a joke...

Anonymous said...

8:02. If not for the money than please tell me the reason to go full sided. 90% of u11 are staying small sided this season in NJ. The rest of the country and world are also small sided at u11. Obviously it is not for development.

1:35 you couldn't be more wrong when you say 8v8 keeps town teams together for another year. All the leagues that the town teams play in are full sided Mosa etc. and you are correct that kids either have it or they don't and most likely can play on the big field that doesnt mean that they should. You need better first touch, quicker decision making and more accurate passing on the small field.. Full sided promotes sloppy play and at this age all the basics I mentioned above are more important than anything else..
Finally what's your rush to play full sided? They have the next 6 years for that.maybe your kid isn't good enough to crack the starting lineup but now with 11 they get to play

Anonymous said...

Wow you really trying to crack on a 10 yr old girls ur a tuff guy

Anonymous said...

It's strange that the 11v11/8v8 thing is such an emotional issue for some. I'm not really sure whether switching to 11v11 at U11 or at U12 is really such a make or break decision for player development. 8v8 on a big enough field is good. If the field is too small it turns into a puntfest. Similarly, 11v11 on too big of a field is not so great at U11 either.

And it could be a lot worse. Here in PA we play 8v8 at U12 and don't switch over until U13. 8v8 at U12 is just awful to watch what with all the goal kicks landing near the other teams penalty arc.

To change the subject, below are the most preliminary of flights for the Spirit tournament. In PA, the two best teams are HMMS and Lower Merion. Lower Merion just beat HMMS 1-0 this past weekend.

Seems to be a little bit of a northern NJ bias here, which I'd guess has more to do with style of play and the respect that brings.

Anonymous said...

Interesting comment, 11:24. Can you elaborate a little more on what you mean by "style of play and respect that brings"?

Anonymous said...

Just a PDA parent talking there team up....

Anonymous said...

Stupid statement. There are PDA teams in both you moron.

Anonymous said...

Yeah but only Lyon parents talk like that

Anonymous said...

Just pointing out that the 1st division in 8v8 is all northern private clubs with the exception of Voorhees. Maybe more of a club bias. On paper, some of the teams in the 2nd division are as good or better.

Anonymous said...

12:44 you are correct. With the exception of voorhees and nj crush , there is no difference between the rest of the teams in either division.

Anonymous said...

Agree, but what we don't know is how much change some of these teams have had. This year and next the compostion of some of these teams will change pretty dramatically. Interesting to see what happens.

Anonymous said...

Some teams will have trouble getting enough girls for 11v11...well at least good players rather then roster fillers...that's when a lot of people go to the academy teams from town team...and you also is girls that leave for other sports a lot of things can happen..that's why PDA and the barons get better every year they have a constant draw..more so PDA cause it a bigger more established club....

Anonymous said...

It has nothing to do with better or worse. A parent isn't going to drive 30 minutes longer for the next Mia Hamm to play in Hazlet or Nutly, but they will to say yes she plays for PDA. There will be the top team which is an extramly talented team and then the rest. The rest will fund the top team by paying more and picking up the slack for the girls that get a free ride to come play at PDA. It is a system or business what ever you'd like to call it. In the end they send half of that top team to D1 schools. The rest? How many teams at U11 girls next year?

Anonymous said...

Top team they are 10 and 11 stop smoking the wacky stuff relax and see where your kid is at in 3 yrs..a lot could change kids may not even play soccer then..enjoy it now nobody knows what the future holds..yes PDA is a good club but you parents go over board thinking you are gods get off PDA nuts..
PS
not the top team at this age group...

Anonymous said...

They are according to got soccer rankings.

Anonymous said...

Re-check those got soccer "rankings"... cause if you are going by them then they are not #1 right now... You can't really be going by got soccer rankings at this age. Are you? Any given team could be #1 according to got soccer all they have to do is win a tournament with enough points to put them over other team points. Example current team in #1 position received 1200+ points in a tournament where they play 2 teams. And believe me this team is a great team and in my opinion is 1 of the top teams in this age group but it clearly shows that got soccer at the beginning of the season for this age group is a joke. I mean come on look at where Voorhees, PDA Barcelona, Brick, are ranked. Shit there are teams not even listed that are clearly better teams than those who are ranked do to the fact that they haven't played for point tournaments. You can not go base on got soccer.

Anonymous said...

Relax Vorhees parent. You'll get your shot one day. You don't have to explain the whole system we get it. Actually got soccer ranking are a joke all together. Whether it be the beginning middle or end of a season.

Anonymous said...

Vorhees parent? Relax about what? Not a Vorhees parent. Just a parent who can give credit to good teams when credit is due regardless of the Club. I was just making a point since someone was so quick to throw got soccer out there. Why do people get so offended when someone gives a non confrontational opinion and give credit to other teams other than their own. Seems like the one who needs to relax is you who automatically attacks a "team" without even knowing who the comment came from. You must be a joy to live with.
