U11G U11 Girls Youth Soccer

U11 girls' teams are facing the 11 v. 11 playing field for the first time. This is a time when players develop a true love for the game and the focus is a little more intense, on the field and on the sidelines...

My daughter's team plays both 8 v 8 and 11 v 11. I personally like the 11 v 11 game better, however, the competition is better at 8 v 8. Should be really fun once all the teams go 11 v 11

EDP Spring Flights posted.

Another great job by EDP to schedule the first weekend of league play during Jeff Cup weekend. More then half the teams will be away, more make-up headaches!!

Liverpool Elite is the number one ranked u11 girls team out of Texas. Most of the girls on that team, or for that matter teams in Texas period, have been playing 11v11 for over two years now. Will be interesting to see how the East coast teams match up against them. That team is a juggernaut.

Anonymous said...

Really Texas? And when are our local teams going to play them? If you are following youth soccer thy closely then you obviously have no life.

Anonymous said...

According to got soccer vorhees is better than the Texas team.

Anonymous said...

Middletown will play Liverpool at the Jefferson Cup

Anonymous said...

Got soccer is a joke. Vorhees still plays 8v8. That team would crush them. I wouldn't rank vorhees on the top 100 nationally. They may be top 10 in the state.

Voorhees
Voor-hees...
vOOr-he's

voor(like door with a v)
hees (like he's- the abbreviation for 'he is')

Same pronunciation for alternative spellings:
Vorhees
Voorhes
Voorhies
etc.

The teams will be playing at Jefferson cup...this is at 11:37 it's called top tournament where all the better teams go to play...I take it your team isn't that good that's y u ask a ??? Like that

Anonymous said...

If you call Middletown a top team then you're kidding yourself. Relax you're average at best and you know it. Go voorhees.

Anonymous said...

Middletown won the 11 V 11 state cup, how did Vorhees do?

Anonymous said...

Voorhees is #2 team IN THE COUNTRY.

Anonymous said...

And yet you couldn't get to the state finals for 8 v 8. Seems like maybe the rankings on got soccer are not that accurate.

Anonymous said...

Voorhees obviously does better in events that allow guest players. Don't compare the number of GotSoccer points with actual team rankings.

Anonymous said...

Let's not forget they still play 8v8. It's not real soccer.

Anonymous said...

9:58 just showed how little he/she knows about soccer.

Anonymous said...

The point is until you have 15-17 talented players and can field a solid 11 you are just average. Any team can throw out 6 good players in 8v8 and be somewhat successful. You are only as good as your weakest player.

Anonymous said...

Got Soccer rankings is a joke. PDA Lyon best team in the country. Period.

Anonymous said...

I'm pretty sure that last comment did not come from a PDA parent. Keep stirring the pot.

Anonymous said...

11x11 results in less time with the ball per player. If that is what you want for your player , play 11x11.

Anonymous said...

Let's hold off until next fall. We will see how the 8v8 teams adapt. Good luck.

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know anything about the current u10 PDA team? I am looking for a more competitive team for my daughter for next year (u11), but have heard very mixed reviews about this age group (politics, crazy parents, etc.). Any other club recommendations would be appreciated.

Anonymous said...

The current U10 team for PDA South is Milan. They are VERY good. They play right now in SJGSL in the premier U11 bracket. This team will be playing in State Cup this year but age appropriate. From what I have heard this team will be going to 11v11 this fall and is looking at joining U11 EDP league. The parents of this team are great, a majority of this team are younger sisters of current travel players. Hope this helps.

Anonymous said...

Thanks 11:02. Great information, but anything on North? I heard they are also going full-sided.

Anonymous said...

The PDA Strikers are a U-10 team team that plays U-11 out of Zeraphath. They are pretty good, little on the small side to be playing U-11.

Anonymous said...

Has anyone heard of Bergen Bulldogs? What is up with that team? Heard they were awesome.

Anonymous said...

Why are we talking about u 10 teams on this blog. No one cares.

pest control nj said...

Pest Control NJ Pest Control Bergen NJ Pest Management Services New Jersey. New Day Pest Control offers pest control, pest management, pest removal, pest extermination, and other pest control services NJ pest control nj

Anonymous said...

Bergen is good, they are not awesome. Coach is a tool

Anonymous said...

They lost to barons east 3-0 can't be that awesome

Anonymous said...

I guess they're canceling the manhattan tourney. No schedules yet. It is in two weeks.

Anonymous said...

Back to U10 for a moment ... what teams both NJ/PA do you think are worth looking into for competitive 10 year old?

Anonymous said...

Looks like Manhattan tourney still a go. Schedules just posted on their website. Hopefully the weather cooperates between now and then!

Anonymous said...

Prediction:

SDFC vs PDA Lyon in U11 11v11 final at Manhattan.

Anonymous said...

All day long but I think Lyon will win they r big and strong...u have to beat Lyon with speed tire the big girls out they can't run for long time....I am not a Lyon parent but lyon is a very good team will be nice to see how they do against good u-11 teams instead of playing weak teams all the time and then bragging how good they are here is ur chance to beat good team Lyon lets see how u do

Anonymous said...

SDFC will win. They are the higher ranked team. Top 15 in the country. I've never seen PDA play but don't think they will win.

Anonymous said...

IMO the two teams are not comparable right now. Lyon Is better. Technically PDAs U10 team is as good as SDFC.

Anonymous said...

9:45, you are clueless and you obviously have no idea how the rankings work and just how useless they are at this age.

Anonymous said...

I love cocky PDA parents. First make it to the finals then we will see who wins. You think it's automatic. You'll be playing some better talent.

Anonymous said...

Did that retard just say they are higher ranked wow anyone that goes by got soccer ranking is a retard I will tell u that now.......

Thanks Lyon Dad!

Anonymous said...

Lyon has already played SDFC Galaxy at U10 8 v 8.

5-0 drubbing and they pulled their goalie to let her run around up top.

Anonymous said...

PDA's U-10 is not beating SDFC, that is just silly.

Anonymous said...

I didn't say they would beat them, I said they were better technically, which they are. SDFC is a very good team, I just don't see them beating Lyon. Hopefully for people that care, they both get that far and play that game.

Anonymous said...

Looking for state cup match ups. Are they out or just the accepted teams list?

Anonymous said...

I don't see SDFC making it to the final

Anonymous said...

NJ Cup:

http://www.bracketmaker.com/tmenu.cfm?tid=457048&tclass=Girls%20U11%2011v11

Disappointing to see so few teams participating. Yes, its unlikely any teams not registered would win it all. But I think its a great experience for girls to play teams outside their own league who they may otherwise never face. Also gives you an iea of what the soccer world is like outside your own fish bowl. And you never know, sometimes you see some upsets.

Anonymous said...

I would pick Middletown over SDFC given their experience playing 11v11. Pretty even teams. PDA should win out

Anonymous said...

How come Van Voorhees, Voorhees
Van Voorhies, Voorhies
Van Vorhies, Vorhies
Van Voorhis, Voorhis
Voorheas, Voorhease, Voorheese
Voorheez, Voorheis, Voorhes, Voorhies
Vorhees, Voorhis, Vorhes isnt playing?

Anonymous said...

Because they are an average 8v8 that doesn't want it get exposed

Anonymous said...

Sdfc never played Lyon at u10 or at any other age.

Anonymous said...

9:23, 90% of the teams at this age are 8v8 and most of these teams know each other pretty well by now. There are a ton of teams in the 8v8 tournaments, so you do have a decent change of seeing a new team in that group.

Anonymous said...

It looks like it will be Lyon for Sjeb east in the finals like to see how that games turns out....hear Sjeb has a pretty good fast striker any truth to that

Anonymous said...

"Sdfc never played Lyon at u10 or at any other age."

I stand corrected at U10 PDA Lyon beat SDFC's U11(now a U12 powerhouse) team 5-0 in 8 v 8 scrimmage at PDA. Sorry.

Anonymous said...

How comical, PDA parents who always say scrimmages mean nothing - especially when the lose one are now chirping about a scrimmage they won. The PDA sheep are so annoying.

Anonymous said...

Who beat them?

Anonymous said...

Voorhees beat them in a scrimmage

Anonymous said...

And yes my daughter was there before u say it wasn't lyon and some other team don't try and pull that card

Anonymous said...

That doesn't surprise me. They are the top team in the country. Was that last fall?

Anonymous said...

Lyon is the best team in NJ at U11, but they are not the best team in the country. Didn't they get beat pretty bad by the Boston Breakers U11s last spring?

Anonymous said...

Breakers would have been U10 at that time same a Lyon.

Anonymous said...

Everyone will need to just watch tourney and league results this Spring. All these debates will end this fall on who is the best in the state and at what age bracket. Fact, EDP U12 11v11 will be one of the strongest "leagues" in the country! Over 7 of the top 20 teams in the nation will be playing. The debate over PDA Lyon and Voorhees will be decided, and decided where it should be, on the field. A lot of new teams are joining and PDA will be playing new teams like Lower Merion, and World Class! It's up for grabs and any team can win. Going to be a great Fall season! Hoping for a nice Spring, this winter stinks!!

Anonymous said...

Can everyone relax. The bottom line is PDA is a top 5 team in the country in pretty much every group. They have been the #1 ranked girls club in the nation I believe the past 3 years. Don't beat yourselves up trying to compare your team or club to them. It's a waste of time. Let's all just worry about our own team and having a good experience with or children. Yes they do play the villain but don't give them any fuel for the fire. Good luck this spring.

Anonymous said...

How do we know how great Lyon is if they havent played anyone outside the region? Maybe they have, I'd certainly be interested in hearing. Are they playing in Jeff Cup? Do they travel to other tournaments, and if so, how did they fare? I'm sure the Lyon dad will be quick to enlighten us.

Anonymous said...

You have to watch them play and judge for yourself. There are apparently some decent teams still playing 8v8 for some reason. Not sure what the benefit is to squeeze 16 players on a small pitch. It will take them a season to adjust to the big field. Bottom line is PDA won't be challenged for another 2 years. By that time they will add another player or two from the area and be that much better. Just saying.

Anonymous said...

Got soccer has them with 20 wins 3 loses and a tie. It looks like the loses came over the summer. Not a parent so not sure if that was the same team. They did score 120 goals and only gave up 15. They are doing something right.

Anonymous said...

@6:19 PM

Was the same team. Lyon was playing up during Summer Select and was just getting started on the big field. They got used to it by the time fall season came around. NJ Cup is going to be interesting. Hope to see Lyon vs SJEB East play.

Anonymous said...

"Got soccer has them with 20 wins 3 loses and a tie. It looks like the loses came over the summer. Not a parent so not sure if that was the same team. They did score 120 goals and only gave up 15. They are doing something right."

Those 3 losses and the tie were vs U12 teams, just saying.

Anonymous said...

1. Got soccer points are a joke.
2. PDA Lyon is one of the top teams in the country for U-11.
3. PDA Lyon is not unbeatable

Can we please agree on those 3 statements and move on.

Anonymous said...

Agree no one is unbeatable. Remember the 80 USA hockey team. Hey the giants beat an 18-0 patriot team. Upsets happen. Go yanks.

Anonymous said...

I agree on 2 of your 3 points, and maybe Lyon is one of the top teams in the country. All I ask is how you judge that? Have they played outside the region? They are top team in NJ no doubt. If I'm arguing with a friend in California who thinks they have the best team out there, how does one quantify who is best if no one has played each other or played the same opponents? I know PDA will continue to attract the best players in the region, more so as they get older, and many girls on this team won't be on it down the road.

Anonymous said...

High temps of 34 next weekend in manhattan. Not counting the winds. Cancel this tourney and save us all a lot of money.

Anonymous said...

"Real feel" in the 20's. 60% chance of snow on saturday

Anonymous said...

Global warming, er, Climate Change, is making these early March tournaments unfeasible. Move 'em to June!

Anonymous said...

Is anyone familiar with PDA shore located in tomsriver Nj

Anonymous said...

Stay far away from that group as they are NOT PDA but the Toms River team wearing different uniforms. Team doesn't play any different then they did as TR but you will pay more. Go watch them play & they still play rec style soccer by sending it to the fast girls up top. There are much better choices like going North to the REAL PDA.

Anonymous said...

Another useless post from the PDA Lyon troll. You certainly offer a lot of "colorful" insight. If PDA is such a great program, why would their affiliate teams be coaches so poorly, as you indicate?

Anonymous said...

Assuming they play, interesting game to start the tourney. BBSC is probably the most improved team in the state. No better measuring stick than Lyon.

Anonymous said...

Bbsc is just a ok team Lyon is gonna kill them...no I not a PDA parent I have seen both teams play watched Sjeb east beat bbsc 3-0 and it could have been more....

Anonymous said...

For all the parents who decide to pursue the ECNL route. When would you make the switch over to the ECNL club? Before the pre-ecnl starts? Or would you wait until U13-14 when they are in the ECNL league? Am I reading correctly that PDA has a U12 pre-ECNL? Can someone please explain how that works?

Anonymous said...

Manhattan KOC canceled for this weekend.

Anonymous said...

Good

Anonymous said...

"‎Teams who did not purchase the insurance will receive a 75% refund to help us cover our most basic costs."

So they schedule this tournament in early March and get cancelled every year now seemingly. Its actually seen so infrequently they should rename it the Sasquatch Classic.

Teams lose 25% of their tournament cost, as well as have their schedules impacted. Most if not all teams plan a set schedule and budget for tournaments accordingly. This tournament will continue to diminish in stature going forward in my opinion.

Anonymous said...

Saw a few post about Texas team Liverpool. Saw them play in Colorado and they are a legit team. Wont surprise me if they won Jeff Cup U11 11v11 division.

Anonymous said...

Also Voorhees have been invited to Premier Super Copa in Dallas TX in June but not yet have accepted. Here is a good chance to for them to prove they are the best or pretenders.

Anonymous said...

Why wasnt the best team in the country, PDA Lyon, invited to play?

Anonymous said...

I guess they never heard of PDA. Lmao just kidding. I guess they're going off them crazy got soccer points. Good luck vorhees. A top 10 nj 8v8 team in my book. Actually top 5.

Anonymous said...

I wonder if we'll ever get to see any of these "top" teams play each other in the spring. All this trash talk is getting boring. Save it for the field. Let's see Voorhees+NJX+SEJEB East+Lyon+World Class+Bergen Bulldogs blah blah blah get it on. I'm sure any of the "top" teams wouldn't walk away from a scrimmage right?

Anonymous said...

NJX a top team at U-11? I don't think so

Anonymous said...

Voorhees won't do the Dallas tourny it's 11v11 not 8v8 so they won't play unless they get guest player like they do for every other top tournament they play in..maybe they can play with there real team and no guest players and see if they win then..I understand guest player but not for every top event....win something with your real team then talk

Anonymous said...

I ask again, why wasnt the best team in the country, PDA Lyon, invited to play? Maybe they can take Voorhees invite?

Anonymous said...

Why travel to Texas in June? It's another money grab.

Anonymous said...

Here is my totally unbiased opinion of U11. Lyon is the best team, World Class next, Crush, SDFC, SJEB, Voorhees are all in the mix for the #3 team. There are a few other teams knocking at the door, but these 6 have consistenly proven to be the best for now.

I've seen the Middletown U10 girls play and they're a pretty solid team. They play the PDA u10 Strikers straight-up. They will have to add players for 11v11 next year.

Anonymous said...

Strikers are technically very impressive for a U10 team. They are small, so I assume when they play a team like Middletown who is likey much bigger and more physical they get pushed around a bit. PDA has a tremendous program, if I lived closer and my kid could make the team, that's where she would be.

Anonymous said...

@ 12:28, I think you have a pretty decent list there. My daughters team has played 5 of the 6 teams and they are all pretty good. What teams do you think are knocking on the door?

Anonymous said...

Middletown, BBSC, Hamilton can all beat the top teams other than World Class and Lyon, I know I am probably missing some. The next 30 teams are all very comparable IMO.

Anonymous said...

DTS Winter Invitational needs two more teams to fill its bracket. SDFC stepped up to big field...

http://events.gotsport.com/events/results.aspx?EventID=41697&Gender=Girls&Age=11

PDA Lyon x
Middletown x
SDFC x
?
?

Maybe PDA Lyon Blue, PDA South, Vorhees, SJEB, Marlboro, NJ Rush, Bergen Bulldogs, NJ Crush????

One of these top clubs has to be able to put together 11 kids no???

Anonymous said...

Would love to see SJEB East or World Class join the DTS tourney. Come on, step up!!!

Anonymous said...

C'mon Vorhees! You have more than 11 on the roster - just spread them out!!!! 442, 433 - C'mon Vorhees!

Anonymous said...

World Class - Just do it!!!!!

Anonymous said...

It's interesting that most of the comments discuss rankings, points, wins/losses but very few mention how happy their child is on any of these "top" teams. My daughter plays for a wonderful team but far more important than wins and losses is how she's progressing and the friendship that has developed among her teammates. I have had a number 0f terrific conversations with parents on opposing teams. Mutual respect and our child's happiness is the basis of the conversation. It is truly a shame that we chose this forum to bash teams, kids and coaches. It's a great sport - may the best team win come the spring.

Whatever dude - enjoy your wonderful team - I need my daughter's coach to make us join the DTS tourney! C'mon PB - Let's get this done! Don't tell us its not in the budget lol.

Anonymous said...

I agree that this blog should not be for bashing kids. However, that being said, I do believe the coaches are open game. They are adults and should be held accountable for their actions. If they act like jerkoffs, they should be called out on it. IMO

Anonymous said...

I agree kids should not be bashed, and coaches who act like jagoffs are fair game. But I also witness far too often volunteer coaches just doing their best being criticized. Not every program wants/can afford a paid coach. Have some respect for volunteer coaches who really give an enormous amount of time.

Anonymous said...

Remember this is the first time girls are playing outside since last fall. I wouldn't read too much into the outcome of the tournament.

Anonymous said...

It's to cold to get an accurate assessment of a teams play. Winter tournaments are a waste of time.

Anonymous said...

"Remember this is the first time girls are playing outside since last fall. I wouldn't read too much into the outcome of the tournament."

Sounds like SJEB, Vorhees or WC coach's quote. Just get in the bracket already!

Anonymous said...

A site for a few to ponder on:

http://youthsoccerrankings.us

You can search by Age, Region and State as well.

I see you PDA Lyon, coming in at #52 Nationally and #1 in NJ. The team from TX at #3 coming to Jeff Cup is for real. Middletown best beware!!

Anonymous said...

How is anyone playing outside this weekend? Temps below freezing all day Saturday not to mention fields probably still covered in snow and ice.

Anonymous said...

DTS had games outside last weekend as well. Fields are clear.

Anonymous said...

DTS tournament canceled this weekend

Anonymous said...

How come the top team in the country isn't going to Jeff Cup? Kudos to Middletown for looking to test themselves outside the region. Although from the looks of things the competition is significantly weaker than prior years. Some of the best may be from right here in NJ. Go Garden State!

Anonymous said...

NJ's got some good teams but doubt they would ever have a good concentration as warm weather states. Going to be tough to compete with teams that can train year round.

Anonymous said...

NJ teams and players train as much as anyone. No difference indoors vs outdoors.

Anonymous said...

This whole thread is ridiculous. This team is better than that, my kid can beat yours.....PATHETIC. Academy teams are great at poaching top talent from club teams. None of it matters until those players get to college. And no, I'm not some angry parent b/c my kid isn't good enough. My daughter is playing keeper on a nationally selected team that will be playing in Spain this Summer.

These are 10 and 11 year olds you are talking about on here. I hope the kids show more class on the pitch than their parents do on here.

Anonymous said...

Not sure what this means..."nationally selected team going to Spain". Can you elaborate on what this program is all about. Would love to learn more on what programs lee your daughter to achieve such an honor.

Anonymous said...

Nationally selected u11 teams?

Anonymous said...

It means some clown wants to pretend his daughterwas selected to some prestigious team which doesn't exist, but who signed up and could afford to go to a lau to play team going to Spain could come on here and create a straw man to rail at. Last I checked the string was supporting NJ teams who venture out to challenge themselves at Jeff Cup and other venues. Go back in your hole you miscreant.

Anonymous said...

I agree Spain is for people that wanna spend money and think there kid is good going to Spain....where does your kid play goalie at sounds like the mom from PDA that went to IGFA....nationally selected team funny stuff I can tell u 6 other keepers that are better...it's like people that did the odp that means nothing till kids are older please don't brag about stuff u pay for to have ur kid play on it only makes u look stupid.....

2nd I do not brag about my daughter. Infact we do not talk about other players AT ALL.
Why? Because they are 11 years old. That is why.
3rd. She is NOT the keeper going to Spain. FYI It was not a nationally picked team. IF U MUST KNOW WE OPTED OUT BEFORE THE INVITES WERE EVEN SENT OUT.
4th I am glad that u know 6 keepers better than her. I never said she was the best. I am the first to admit she needs work. shes only 11 years old. AM I PROUD OF HER, ABSOLUTELY. She wants to be the best, she wants to train 3/4/5 days a week. I do not push her. She is having FUN.
5th instead of tearing down a player and parent and making your self look like an absolute fool on this board, why dont u take your bitterness and jealousy and just worry about your daughter.

PLEASE DO NOT POST ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE AND PLAYERS THAT U KNOW NOTHING ABOUT. You just look as u said "STUPID".

Don't worry about the angry PDA Lyon Dad. He continues to embarrass himself and the club on this blog. The club is well aware of who their angry Dad is, and despite the fact his daughter is talented and somehow a nice girl despite the handicap of overcoming having him as a father, there is a limit to how much they will deal with. Sadly, although he is in the "minority", his damage to the clubs reputation is far reaching.

Anonymous said...

Call him out on here. That will put an end to it.

Anonymous said...

I agree with the last post. It's time to call all these idiots out. Just post the initials or the players number. That will embarrass him/her. Enough is enough.

Anonymous said...

Why don't you post who you are and when you make false accusations we can call you out?

You can only assume who that was and from reading the post, I think the person who started it, had it coming a bit.

Why would someone talk about their own daughter and expose their own daughter - just opens you up for an attack on a blog like this.

Everyone hates Pda because they are who they are, but stop the accusations unless you can prove it.

I can't help but to laugh at everyone posting on here. I'm starting to think A) everyone's mom didn't love them enough. B) you are pushing your kids to be something you never could amount to or C) you all have small penises.

I'm sure you would never want a child in your daughters school to bully her the way you "keyboard heros" do on here.

Do you kiss your wife with that mouth or touch her with the filthy fingers you use to type the hateful words about other little girls who are just playing a sport they love. A sport they are not a professional at. Or a sport they will probably end up quiting because you act like an ass.

So who's going to Jeff Cup this weekend?

What is everyone doing in place of the canceled events that happened this past weekend?

Anonymous said...

Jeff Cup bound this weekend. For any young teams that have not experienced J-Cup, you're in for a great weekend. This tourney is VERY well run, always have great teams, great vendors, and great after soccer activities. Good luck to all the teams from NJ going down. I'm sure this board will be a buzz on Monday. Finally some talk about other teams besides PDA North. You know others do play in the state! : ) Good luck to all.......

Anonymous said...

422 - thanks and no thanks, been there done that and the trip sucks. Nj teams got killed last year in our age group and the weather will suck this year, glad we are not going back. By the way, we are not like your u13 blog and nobody cares or talks about PDA in this age group. You guys have been talking about Jeff cup for three weeks, have fun and you will probably get killed again like the last two years you were there. Last point, the teams that will win there at u12 would beat your u13 F2 team by 6 goals like they beat all of us. Our age group would beat most of the top u13 teams, including yours.

Anonymous said...

Huh? Voorhees one the Championship over Braddock Road 5-0 in the top flight last year at the Jeff Cup. Teams will do fine this year.

Won

@7:30...you need some serious help.

We're Jeff Cup bound this weekend as well! 1st timer looking forward to watch my daughter & her teammates compete and have fun against teams from other states. It will be exciting to see how NJ teams stack up across the board.

Anonymous said...

Good luck to the teams representing NJ at Jeff Cup.

Looks like some East coast teams are getting an in your face introduction to NTX's girls u11 soccer at the Jefferson Cup. Nobody will even come close to scoring on Liverpool Elite. They win 11v11 girls u11 division hands down. That will only solidify their ranking as the number one u11 girls team in the country.

Anonymous said...

It's too bad Vorhees and some of these other top ranked teams are hiding in the 8v8 divisions. It's time to step up to play some 11v11 and face the likes of Liverpool Elite .

Anonymous said...

Voorhees is a great town based team. Considering that, it's laughable that people hate on them. Stop with the 11v11 stuff. If anything the competition at 8v8 is tougher at U11. Hard to keep the town teams together next year, most will not survive.

Anonymous said...

Anyone know anything about SJA and where they are from? Saw them play have some good talent, but some girls that didn't belong. Is it even an academy??

Anonymous said...

Vorhees is done and coming home early. Maybe they will tone it down. Middletown was destroyed and should learn not to talk. Crush coming home too. If PDA was there, they would be in same boat on way home. Worth the trip?

Anonymous said...

Also add South jersey elite barrons east (sjeb east), they lost both games today as well.

Anonymous said...

Haters gonna hate. Interesting that the board is silent on the team from NJ that didn't get crushed...

Anonymous said...

What team didn't get crushed? Hey vorhees let us know when you decide to score this weekend. And even though I'm not a fan of PDA please keep them out of this conversation. No one has any room to talk. Have a safe 7 hour trip back.

Anonymous said...

@10:30

Why would you expect talk about NJ teams that are doing well? That implies that you think there's ever any positive talk on this board.

Voorhees is playing some unbelievably talented teams. Sometimes you do good and sometimes you don't. Same goes for SJEB East but both teams are still better than 99% of the teams from NJ.

Anonymous said...

Who won from jersey??

Anonymous said...

Wildcats Lopez won first 2 games see what they do today. I was surprised to see Voorhees and Sjeb east not fair as well.

As for who SJA is they are a newer Academy out of shore in ocean county NJ. I agree there is some talent there, be interesting to see how they do EDP spring... They came in 2nd behind Sjeb east in edp 11v bracket for the fall.

Anonymous said...

Only way to get better is to play better teams so u can find out what you need to work on...rather loose good game 1-0 or 2-0 then win 7-0 like so teams...u can't win evey game but attract team gave it a shot rather then not playing top teams...

Anonymous said...

You can tell who wrote that, good luck today and hopefully you won't "loose" again...

Anonymous said...

What a loser hating on 10/11 year olds. Looking at the results the NJ teams are roughly .500 against great competition. Go back to your hole.

Anonymous said...

I will, I have a perfect spot that I call my hole, much nicer than 95n all day. Hopefully you can read directions better than you can write. Has nothing to do with the girls, it's all about you and your big mouth. WC is the best team around, I give them all the credit. Would like to see them and pda, money is on WCFC. WC doesn't talk, they just play and win.

Looks like the got soccer rankings need to be updated.

so we have a classy World Class parent on here. Love your program, U11 team is very good but not as good as Lyon. Overall WCFC is a 2nd tier ECNL program, certainly nothing to be ashamed of.

Anonymous said...

Looks like Sjeb easy had a tough bracket waza in the final and Braddock team they lost 1-0 to went to pk shootouts against Liverpool team from tx....

Anonymous said...

East not easy

Anonymous said...

Sorry I'm not a PDA parent. Just saying the top team in the country can't score a goal on a small pitch. That's ok. Just don't come on here and tell everyone how good you are.

Anonymous said...

Wow, what a loser commenting on the outcome of Games. They lost to good teams, leave it at that. Why don't you sign your real name when you make such immature comments against little girls. Tough guy behind a keyboard.

Anonymous said...

PDA parent here. Congrats to all the teams that made the trip to jeff cup. It's a long weekend and it looks like all the girls gave a great effort. I know all the competition is great and it's a good test. Hopefully we can play some good local competition soon. It's tough because some teams are still playing 8v8. You guys all represented jersey well. Have a great spring.

Anonymous said...

Yes, congrats to all the NJ teams for representing us. That top 8v8 flight was loaded with great teams, there's no shame in losing any games in that flight. Congrats to Real for winning their flight, they were obviously put in the wrong group. I haven't seen them play but the Continental team they beat in the finals is very good. Hoping for a great spring season, good luck to all.

Anonymous said...

It's a honor to go to Jefferson Cup, win or lose these teams played their best and hopefully take away some knowledge. Congrats to them all!! I look forward to seeing some these teams in spring, best of luck!!

Anonymous said...

There is no shame is losing, but there is shame in bashing 10 & 11 year old girls on a soccer blog. Coward.

Anonymous said...

1:57, well said!

2:26, I posted the 11:39 comment and haven't bashed anyone on this blog. I was pointing out how people bashing the Voorhees team should be ashamed of themselves, they played incredibly talented teams. The vitriol on this blog is sad,

All people do is point out the teams that didn't win and yet don't say a word about the teams that did win.

Anonymous said...

Would love to hear some intelligent feedback or thoughts from anyone who saw the Liverpool Elite team from NTX at Jefferson Cup. Not my DD's team but play them quite often. Would like to hear another perspective. You guys want vitriol, you need to check the NTX girls forum. Better have thick skin.

The Jefferson cup was a fun tournament. It's good to get out and see some new tough competition. The Middletown team seems to have generated some hate but hey you haven't done anything until someone hates you for it. I thought they were the best(soccer wise) team we faced all weekend. Really tried to combine, build the play and keep possesion. I could tell in their warmup that everything they did was too slow. Their speed of play was not fast enough to keep possesion so we were really able to lock them in the defensive end. If they stay together this team will be very good. Maybe they should try playing boys might help with team speed.
The bayhawks it was tough to tell because of the weather conditions but really locked in there own end. Wearing the wrong color jersey and making the girls change may have pissed them off because they jumped on them early and never let up. FYI home wears white AWAY wears red.
The BRYC 03 ELITE was not really indicative of the score. Really dominated possesion and spent the game in the attacking end. But the keeper had a superman cape on and is one of the best keepers I have seen in age group. Actually tapped an uper 90 shot onto the post and out. She was always in the right position and great technique. Man of the match for both teams as far as I am concerned. But they only had 1 shot and it came from a free kick (soft foul or dive).
WAZA was the most athletic team we faced all weekend. They were very north texas in style. Fast and aggressive all over the field. LP still dominated possesion but the WAZA team was the one team that was able to push occasionally out of the defensive end and generate an attack. still don't think they had many shots but definitely made us defend our own end a few times. Oh and what are they feeding that keeper? She could get her goalie kicks out there and punt it one bounce to our keeper. Even facing a strong wind she could punt over the halfline.
Too bad on the Vorhees though. Was hoping to get a taste but they were in the 8v8 and looks like they didn't perform well.
Anyway hope to see some of you top teams out this summer for the super copa in Dallas. Has the 2 top teams from north Texas and top teams from Oklahoma and south Texas. Even has some of you So Cal favorites. So for you East folks it would be a great opportunity to only travel half way to get your hands on some SoCo goodness.

Anonymous said...

Thanks for the info Texas fan! Great feedback. I've been to Texas a few times and I find the people very friendly. I wish the self proclaimed best team in NJ (and top 3 in the country) PDA Lyon would make the trip out there and see what the truth really is.

Anonymous said...

Looks like World Class u11 had the best NJ/NY showing at the Jeff Cup. Just saw 8v8 top flight results. Other local clubs aside from Vorhees were in second/third flights.

EDP league should be solid again this spring

Anonymous said...

Wonder how many 8v8 team will go 11v11 this spring or upcoming fall season?

Anonymous said...

There have been some developments over the last few weeks. At least some of the feeder league clubs voted down 8v8 at U12, when they were widely expected to do the opposite. This is going to cause many teams who were considering staying 8v8 move to 11v11 in full or part. Very few will change in the spring, but in the Fall most teams at this age will be 11v11. Of course that is going to make this tryout season crazy.

Go99 said...

We are looking at EDP but not sure if it's next on the list. I believe supercopa in dallas is up next and then Surf cup. I know some are screaming for Vegas but it seems like EDP is a bigger tournament so not sure which one we should do. Heard about all of the 8v8 talk and I knew it would get voted down. I guess as you guys transition to 11v11 it should help us catch up with more top teams. As a Non ECNL team we are seeking the best competition we can and fighting to keep our team together from the ECNL poachers. We may be able to take a run at NPL so there's always that lol

Anonymous said...

I watched Liverpool play big and strong kids a good game would be vs south shore elite out a Massachusetts they are strong real strong team seen both play..have to give it to south shore just fast smart team

Anonymous said...

I'm sure Liverpool would like the challenge. Have South Shore sign up for Super Copa and we could hear all about that epic game.

Anonymous said...

How much is your team going to travel at u11, and for what reason? I guess we're lucky we can have full challenging soccer in driving distance.

go99 said...

1 to 2 travel tournaments a year. And yes plenty of challenging tournaments right here in NTX but spending all of your time in your small little pond can give you a false sense of your own abilities. It's good to get out and face some of the best teams around the country. The style of play is different in the NE than here and also CA. So the reason for the travel is the girls want to try to be the best they possibly can and you get there by challenging yourself against the best you can. Middletown is a perfect example. Great soccer played by that team but the speed of play wasn't nearly fast enough. Well if they never play that game maybe they never find that out. Plus it gets boring to see the same faces over and over

Anonymous said...

Very true. Playing the same teams all the times leads to bad blood between the parents far too frequently as well. My older daughter plays ECNL and the atmosphere is far more relaxed then the games at the younger ages between opponents frequently faced.
When is Super Copa, Surf Cup and vegas that you referenced?

Here are some of the tournaments mention. I hope to see a few NE teams.

Relax everyone. These girls are 11. Save your money for u14 thru u16. That's when it matters.

Anonymous said...

@ 1:27

Coming from someone who probably never got out on live. Us the the trips as vacation with family or bonding time with your daughter.. Get a life!!

Anonymous said...

correction: got out on life

Anonymous said...

Yes. But it can be argued that these girls already play tons of soccer. I don't have unlimited time and money for travel so I like to use it to expose the kids to other activities and and let them explore some other pursuits.

Anonymous said...

1:45. I don't need a soccer trip to bond with my family. That's called a summer vaca to the beach or Disney. Obviously you weren't talented enough to play sports and have to live for your daughter. Do we really have to play all over the country at this age to see where we stack up. Just remember jersey in always a top state in the country in soccer. There is enough talent around here.

Anonymous said...

@ 2:28 PM

If the team from Texas wants to travel, so be it. What is it to your concerns? Again, you sound like your child hood was deprived of opportunities to travel.

"We live in the Great State of NJ, let's never leave. Wait till your daughter/son reaches the age of u30. Save your money, that's when it matters".

LOL.

go99 said...

I am glad you have confidence in your small pool. You don't have to travel and you have plenty of competition but don't kid yourself and think you know where you stack up. The sting team from texas made it to the semi's and they are sitting outside the top 10 in our league. CA certianly has a reputation but looking in from Texas, jersey does not

Anonymous said...

Travel wherever and for whatever reason you want. I don't want to spend my limited time and travel budget playing soccer when we seem to do that non-stop at home. Go ahead if you choose, but don't tell me to "get a life" because I would rather take the kids to experience something beyond soccer on a family trip. Soccer they can do at home.

If I do get the chance to take them all the way to Texas, we will spend our time in experiences unique to that place as much as possible.

Anonymous said...

First off, it was me the Anonymous guy who said "Get a life". I'm guessing you thought they were from Texas? Just be the first one to raise your hand when your daughters team decides to travel out of State and say she will not be participating for soccer. Homer!!
