U13G / U13 Girls Youth Soccer

U13G  / U13 Girls youth soccer seems to offer the most teams and the widest diversity of talent.

Where these players will end up is anyone guess.

Welcome to the ride.

2015 NPL Finals
July 9-13, 2015 | Grand Park | Westfield, Ind.
========================
FC Portland Academy Pre ECNL - 2001
MS Rush 02 Girls
========================

With one more game to play in January.
No team can catch MS Rush. FC Portland is more of a question mark. the Oregon premier league sends it's top 4 teams to the Northwest Champions League as does the Washington Premier League. All 3 of these Leagues send a team to the NPL Finals. From the looks of it FC Portland won the Oregon Premier League - SO i have them going to the NPL Finals.

NPL - Gulf States 2014-15
18 MS Rush 02 Girls
12 Chicago Fire Juniors Louisiana 02 Girls
9 Hattiesburg Football Club 02 Girls
7 Baton Rouge Soccer Club 02 Girls
7 Cajun Soccer Club 02 Girls
6 Gulf Coast Texans 02 Girls
4 Mandeville Soccer Club 02 Girls
3 Gulf Coast United FC 02 Girls

I may have jumped the gun the Gulf States Premier League has a Playoff system. I HATE PLAYOFFS!!!

12:21 it may seem like that to you lately, but what you are missing is going back the last 18 months there have been a few disgruntled ex wildcats parents who have been attacking wildcats every way they can before anyone from wildcats team was even posting.
they are still on here posing and spinning(10:33 and 10:46) everything they can to blame wildcats and hide their true intentions and agenda.
Much of what you look at as wildcats drawing attention has been the habit of defending (and often personal vs parents and coach) attacks for over a year now.Just follow a little closer and you will pick it up.

Yes and 10:33 is great example of his spinning, posing style after repeating about no wins of substance for last 2 weeks.then attacks joke made about "substance" out of context.
Look closely and he is very transparent.

1:37 and 2:00 correct but most of us are sharp enough to have seen through that trolling and recognized his garbage all along.
Those who missed it or fell for his redundant actions and posing are just oblivious or dense.
And those who are sucked in and fooled by his posing are few but vocal.
Better off ignoring them and moving on. Don't sweat it they want to be where your daughters are.

Nice job MF NPL in the NE NPL. Finished without a loss.

Anonymous said...

I agree - but let's not use NE -
Could be North East or New England.

Can not finish worst than 3rd.

The assumption is that GS will reward Fall Points for this league based on the National rank of the top 5 teams in the league which are listed below if they can identify them as such. The flight value might also be lower if they can't identify the teams.

(17) PDA AJAX
(68) MATCH FIT ACADEMY FC NE NPL
(80) CFC ARSENAL SKY
(119) PDA DRAGONS
(277) FSA FC U13 GIRLS NPL 01

Anonymous said...

It's also lower because EDP puts out points before season over.

Anonymous said...

With all these varaibles the flight Value will be ~6,300.

Anonymous said...

First of all, wildcats 1st place undefeated record in edp league, state cup championship and unbeaten record in bracket games of 2 top fights in top level tournaments this fall have been relentlessly attacked because they haven't "beaten any teams of substance".
Then when they win a huge game vs a team no one can argue is top notch, you complain when they throw that back in your face.
They answered your attacks with their performance and you just don't like it..

Anonymous said...

4:39 yes plus how FSA managed their GS Accounts

Can you please shut-up about the Wildcats, I am not even from NJ, and I can see why they are loathed. Talk about an inferiority complex, they have a picture of them in the dictionary.

Anonymous said...

I think 4:47 sums it up pretty well.
Well said.
Now move on.

Anonymous said...

4:52 kiss off.

Anonymous said...

Will you then be on the blog apologizing if you lose a couple of games in a row or lose to what is considered a lesser team. I assume you will be saying nothing at that point. Why not just leave the haters be. The only redemption you will receive is for your good play on the field. Right now most parents are not considering your team as an option because of the continued blog propaganda. This back and forth is not good for your club.

Anonymous said...

Bragging about a weak EDP league and a watered downed SC where the final 4 teams from the Spring SC were not there. Stop!

Anonymous said...

that was for nj stalker posing and posting 1st 4:52 above.

Anonymous said...

4:55 nice try. You have been trying to stop players from coming to us for 18 months with your attacks and predictions of our demise.
How has that been working out.
You are not influencing anyone;s decision about where to play.
You are fooling no one.
And wasting your breathe.

Anonymous said...

Just posting the facts.

Anonymous said...

5:02 posting facts or attacks?

Anonymous said...

4:59. You make assumptions about who I am. You are an idiot. I am not who you think I am. I am a parent who has seen the parents of wildcats answer these other idiots that put down your team. I would have difficulty bringing my daughter down to your team based on all the back and forth on this blog. It paints your club and parents in a negative light. Doesn't your club have a no posting about your team policy?

Anonymous said...

pda has that policy right.
How is that working out?
It's an anonymous blog bud.

Anonymous said...

Huh.

Anonymous said...

5:06 I have yet to see even 1 team, when attacked on this blog, where the parents don't come to it's defense.
That includes the 5 teams from pda and mf.
Wildcats are challenging the idea that in NJ you have to put your child in the long line that exists at those 2 clubs to play and compete effectively in the top flights of major tournaments vs the best teams in the country.
Our parents happen to be a very nice group, and our girls dress and play good minutes of every half of every game. And I guess that doesn't sit well with some in our state.
I wonder why?

Anonymous said...

Isnt it the style of play that they are attacking ? That seems to be the issue of most parents

Congrats to NJ Teams this Fall

STA - siting in 2nd place NY NPL, ok showing in EDP

Crush- Average at Best

MF NPL- Will finish anywhere from 1st to 3rd for Fall NPL

PDA North and South- Same as above

MF and PDA along with CFC CT are the top teams in NPL. Top heavy with 4 teams, rest are below average

NJ Wildcats- State Champs, 1st for EDP Central. EDP Central and NPL are very comparable.

MF Pre ECNL- finished very impressive as well, can finish 1st to 3rd in a very strong ECNL group of teams

PDA Pre ECNL- same as MF, only team not to lose to date in league play. tournament play could have been a little better. I do not look to much into this as coach will get all players in at tournaments.

MF and PDA ECNL teams have proved to be best within NJ, our Region.

If we assume for the moment that matchfit PDA and wildcats are all about the same give or take. If you have a player who would be in top third for any of these team. What would be 1st option? Which team has the better training ? Which team will probably be better by high school ?

This is probably better way of ranking a team.

Top 5 regional pre-ECNL

Now if you add FC STARS North, NEFC, SOUTH SHORE, MF NPL, PENN LEGACY, NJ Wildcats and Oakwood, this list would be scattered and some of these teams would not be in the top 5.

So please stop with the non sense and the self promotion of your team and saying you are tops in the region. Win a big time event and then you can talk.

1. E. Meadow
2. Breakers
3. PDA
4. Penn Fusion
5. MFA
FC STARS

Anonymous said...

Just don't see how you can compare the pre ECNL and NE NPL to EDP...... The depth of the other leagues is FAR greater. And this is why people want their kids playing in it. It is already deeper and next year when the teams combine best players from both teams to make top team with outside additions, it will be on a different planet. Again people it is not about now. It is about U14-16. Which programs will be set up better then? That is the question.

Anonymous said...

Doesn't MD have pre ECNL and NE NPL teams above Calvert?

Anonymous said...

1. E Meadow
2. PDA
2. Match Fit
4. NEFC
5. Breakers
6. NJ Wildcats
7. FC Stars
8. CFC Arsenal
9. Penn Fusion

I will keep PDA and Match Fit. PDA has not beaten MF yet with this group.

Anonymous said...

MF didn't beat breakers or Penn Fusion.

Anonymous said...

PDA did not beat NJ wildcats
PDA has not beaten MF (1 tie, 1 loss)
East Meadow has not beaten MF (3 loses, 2 ties)

Rankings do not necessary go by head to head every time. It goes by overall play.

Penn Fusion very good team, down fall inconsistent

PDA very solid all around team

MF very solid all around team

Any of these teams can lose, have to look at overall body of work.

I agree with list, may change order on a few. Regardless I like those teams mentioned

Anonymous said...

Let me get this straight - you are saying one if not more of these teams FC STARS North, NEFC, SOUTH SHORE, MF NPL, PENN LEGACY, NJ Wildcats and Oakwood replaces teams from the bottom in what head 2 head?

You are missing the point they play each other home/away every year combined with the training puts the mover the top.

1. E. Meadow
2. Breakers
3. PDA
4. Penn Fusion
5. MFA

But I wouldn't worry I'm sure they will all be in the Region 1 Champions League well at least FC STARS North, SOUTH SHORE and PENN LEGACY wow you really think those 3 are better than any of the other leagues I mentioned?. FC stars is better off putting North in the NPL

Anonymous said...

Penn Fusion, very inconsistent

I agree as well

PDA has 2 be #1 as of today, they are in first place followed by EM and MF

Anonymous said...

PL beat Classics 3-1 to win Pags. They also beat the #1 ranked team from Florida recently. And did well in Spirit. They have become more consistant than PF at this point. Still, NJ teams seem to be the cream of the crop right now

Surprised Wildcats not participating; there are some decent points up for grabs here. PA West #1, NY West #1, and MD #1

Anonymous said...

PL?? they don't leave PA and when they do they go down south they avoid the powers of Region 1 like EM, MF, PDA, Boston, FC Stars, CFC. maybe this Spring they will hookup.

PS. The same Florida team finished in 3rd out of 4 teams in their bracket at PDA.

Anonymous said...

9:43
The only "down south" tournament Legacy went to was Jeff Cup, not exactly a place you go to avoid top teams.

FC Stars and PDA where at Spirit but didn't make it to the finals where they could have faced Legacy.

And if Penn Fusion is still considered 4th in the region by 8:18, even though the came in last in their pool at WAGS,( and lost 5-1 to Legacy) certainly you might want to give the FL Krush more credit. Last April was an eternity ago in youth soccer.

Anonymous said...

Will region 1 premier league be more competitive than EDL League in spring?
Will penn legacy, wildcats, calvert crew and other strong non-ecnl teams in this age group combine to play in that league in the spring?

Anonymous said...

Penn Legacy played in the 2nd tier at Jeff Cup and played 8v8 . At Jeff Cup they played no one. They had to beat Ukrainians in the final. Penn Legacy doesnt go to any tourneys. You can look at their gotsoccer page to see that.
Then during PAGS they lost to YMS (who)and tied 1776. They did beat YMS to make finals but should never lose to them in the 1st place.
I think they are a good team but until they consistently play top teams it is hard to judge them. Once they start to play some top NJ/NY teams maybe we will see what they are like.

Anonymous said...

Just because they were placed in the 2nd Division at jeff cup last year doesn't mean they should've been. They showed they should not have been there by blowing the competition away. They played some top teams in the top division at Spirit and showed they could hang very much so. They moved into the finals by advancing over Wlidcats and Calvert in their bracket and blew PF away. Check those Got Soccer scores again friend.

Anonymous said...

I also wish PL had a bigger body of work from which to judge them against out of state competition. But now that they are clearly top dog in PA, maybe they'll start to seek out the tournaments that teams like PDA, MF, Wildcats, and EM enter.

We can talk all we want about how inconsistent Penn Fusion is, but you simply don't see too many 5-1 losses at this level. And by most accounts, when PF plays well (wins over MF, EM, and Boston) they are a Top 5 regional team. A 5-1 win over such a team deserves its due. It's not really fair to denigrate this win because PF crapped the bed in the second half that day.

Teams like PL and Wildcats are both riding high right now. I say, well done to both.

Anonymous said...

My pre-ECNL rankings:

Top tier
EM
PDA
MF
Stars

Second
Boston
PF

Third
World Class
CT FC
FSA

Fourth
Albertson
FC Bucks

Fifth
Continental FC

Boston has been getting a free ride based on old tournament results where they may have been using guest players. I think Stars is a much better team.

Anonymous said...

7:41
You can only play the competition the tournament director puts you with and they did so 11-0. They had 2 tournaments rained out last fall so hard to show what you are capable of. And 8:07's right. The Uk's were the state cup champ last spring and they got there by beating HMMS who beat Penn Fusion. So again if PF can lose to HMMS and still be considered among the top in the region(which they defiantly are) what's with the obsession with 1 loss to YMS? Not saying Legacy is the top in the region(that's a meaningless term) but why the obvious bias and disrespect? I believe almost every "top 10 " team in the region, as listed above, was either directly beaten by Penn Legacy or lost to a team Legacy beat. Only someone with some bizarre bias would argue they aren't on that same level. A lot of great teams in the region, and Legacy obviously deserves to be considered among them.

Anonymous said...

9:05 Bias? How about no body of work to compare besides PA teams.

PENN FUSION SA '01G ECNL (PAE) 5-1
CES CALVERT CREW WHITE (MD) 1-1
NJ WILDCATS AVERBUCH (NJ) 1-1

Anonymous said...

there is one other advantage that the NON ECNL teams like Penn Legacy and Wildcats have over the ECNL teams, the sub rule. The Sub rule in ECNL League play goes that if a girl comes out in a half she can not go back in that half. I believe that PAGS and EDP doesnt go by that rule. They can sub girls in and out as much as they want. So I am sure that girls on ECNL teams are playing a lot more minutes then PAGS and EDP girls.

Anonymous said...

The sub rule sucks for ECNL.

Anonymous said...

I'll give you that PL's body of work is limited. But this is an internet message board, so I think we can allow a bit of speculation based on the limited results we do have. No need to give them an "incomplete". Let's work with what we have.

With ties against Calvert and Wildcats, I don't think anyone from PL would complain about being described as being on the same level as those squads.

And maybe Penn Fusion is overrated, or maybe they are so inconsistent that any result (win or loss) is meaningless, but by any measure 5-1 is a statement.

Unfortunately we won't know more about PL until Jeff Cup, assuming they signed up.

Anonymous said...

I disagree. That limits your bench going in and when they go in. That rule cuts out playing time for more players then being able to sub throughout the halfs.

Anonymous said...

But for any given match, the two teams will play with the same sub rules. Not sure where an advantage lies. It's a harder rule to play with, but as long as both teams are playing with it, there is no advantage.

Anonymous said...

Wildcats have to play by that rule in Spring EDL/NPL. ECNL and NPL don't allow for unlimited subs and their games are 80 minutes long. I believe that is 10 minutes more with no unlimited subs - it's a different game.

Also going by the ECNL web page most teams roster more than 18 girls. SO they use tournaments to work on stuff and play the girls fighting each other for minutes even if they roster only 18.

You see for any team playing ECNL or NPL the league games are number 1 because that can put them in a spot to win a National Title.

For example if PL was in Region1 League with a spot in the nationals on the line, do you think they would take Jefferson cup that seriously? or would they work on things against top teams such as rotations and style, yes they will try to win but in a different way and a blow loss is very possible is you are trying something different?

If I was coach and my team played in a League where the winner went to a National event. I would want as many tough games for them to play in so I can try different things I wouldn't have the #$%$@ to try in a game that had a chance at a national title on the line. U13 or Not.

Looking at PL's body of work they are number 1 in PA hands down. Yes PF is #2 when it comes to PA rankings and PA Classics at #3. I think the rest are equal to or just a step behind classics but not close to PL and PF. Am I right when it coms to PA game results?

8:07 - Penn legacys scores at spirit before the Penn Fusion ( who is overrated) were 1-1 ties. They couldnt score against Calvert or wildcats but neither team could score against them.not convincing. They made the semi's by competing in a 3way shoot out. Very odd. Maybe penn legacys GK is better or shooters were on, who knows when it comes to PKS.
Penn legacy is easily 1 of the top 2 teams in PA but that is not saying much. NJ is much deeper with teams at this age.

Anonymous said...

9:56 I put together a list to compare teams that did just that for NJ a regional list would be a lot harder, but I think it would be fun to take a crack at.

I will use the following coefficients, let me know if you disagree - I will wait for some comments before I start to see if we can tweak this a bit.

Pt per win

10 Pre-ECNL League Play
10 points for beating a Pre-ECNL team
5 points per win NPL/EDP D1 (Regional leagues)
5 points for beating NPL/EDP D1
3 points per win State Leagues (PAGS,EDP D2,JAGS)
1 point per Tournament Win.

Anonymous said...

My bad and then take an average - it wouldn't be a straight accumulation

Anonymous said...

NE NPL needs to get more than regular NPL. More quality teams.

Anonymous said...

"NJ is much deeper with teams at this age."

I don't disagree. NJ is deeper. That being said, I've seen the following teams all play, and to rank them based on "who would beat who", here's is what I've got:

1. Penn Legacy
2. PDA Pre-ECNL
3. East Meadow Pre-ECNL
4. FC Stars of Mass Pre-ECNL
5. Penn Fusion Pre-ECNL
6. Match Fit Pre-ECNL
7. Boston Breakers Pre-ECNL
8. PDA NPL South
9. Match Fit NPL
10. Connecticut FC Pre-ECNL
11. World Class Pre-ECNL
12. FSA Pre-ECNL
13. Albertson Pre-ECNL
14. Penn Fusion NPL
15. 1776

Never seen:
Wildcats
PDA NPL North
Match Fit Black
NYSC
PA Classics
Athletico

Anonymous said...

10:15 - I would like to see that ranking. It would be interesting.

10:22 - This where I think Penn Legacy gets to much credit for beating Penn fusion and actually Penn legacy has only played 2 of your top 15 teams, so how can they be ranked #1?
PDA and east meadow are better then Legacy.

Anonymous said...

"PDA and east meadow are better then Legacy."

Yes, they play better soccer. But PL would win.

Anonymous said...

10:32
East meadows lost to athletico twice in the last 6 mo or so
Penn Legacy beat Athletico 3-0 in August,

Anonymous said...

FC Stars too high. They lost to breakers 3-8, lost to MF 2-3, lost to east meadow 0-3, 0-0 draw against a struggling world class. A 2-0 win over Penn Fusion is nice, but not enough to place them that high.

Anonymous said...

Okay the easy part is done. I used teams from PRe-ECNL, NorthEast NPL, EDP Central D1, PAGS, NYCSL NPL, New England NPL.

I took only the teams with a Co-Eff greater than 2.000 to apply tournament wins to.

A tournament win will be 10, 5 or 1 pt based on the league of the team they beat. Will have this done later today.

You may be right. 1-3 are easy. But then 4-7 can go in almost any order.

If you go by W-L-D amongst those four teams only you get

Stars 1-2-0
PF 2-1-0
MF 1-2-0
Boston 2-1-0

The better records should go higher, and PF beat Boston while MF beat Stars. So you get:

4. PF
5. Boston
6. MF
7. Stars

Feels kind of wrong to put PF so high. They have some bad losses (Albertson, crushed by PL) and some bad ties (BRYC, FSA, CT FC World Class).

But then again, I forgot this was a "who would beat who" rank.

Going down the GS Region1 Rank. This is all I can do for now. Only apply Tournament wins vs the leagues I mentioned.

5.000 NJ WILDCATS AVERBUCH
4.545 CES CALVERT CREW WHITE
3.824 STA MORRIS UNITED NPL 01
3.455 PENN LEGACY 01 Black
2.778 World Class FC 01 U13 Pre-ECNL

Using the above teams as a test - how do they stack up?

Anonymous said...

Since you are looking at GS and applying tourney wins vs Leagues, then teams with more GS games would rank higher then teams with less GS games?

Anonymous said...

It's an average.

First league wins were assigned pt values/divided by games played.

Now I will add Tournaments wins vs teams from those leagues only and take an average so the Co-Eff can only go higher - it won't go lower.

Good Point I should also add the games played where they didn't win (tied or lost) and take the average.

Anonymous said...

Revised list

7.333 East Meadow SC 01 U13 Pre-ECNL
3.846 CES CALVERT CREW WHITE
3.636 NJ WILDCATS AVERBUCH
3.421 STA MORRIS UNITED NPL 01
2.923 PENN LEGACY 01 Black
2.500 World Class FC 01 U13 Pre-ECNL

The number represents an average of points from Wins (League games + vs Teams from Leagues mentioned) divided by games played (League games + vs Teams from leagues mentioned)

Can anyone think of anything else - this looks pretty solid to me. EM by far the better team and Calvert ahead of Nj Wildcats based on results vs Pre-ECNL even though they lost head 2 head. The entire body of work at u13, does it look okay any other tweaks?

Anonymous said...

I think it looks good.

Anyone can beat anyone on any given day. This is soccer. sometimes the ball bounces funny and 12/13 girls are little funny sometimes.

Anonymous said...

10:05 no that is incorrect as EDP Is playing 40 minute halves this fall season.
EDP just doesn't limit subs.
that is only difference from ecnl sub rules.
Actually open sub rule allows coaches more freedom to sub and matchup and also allows players coming off bench to get many more chances as coach can readjust if match-up is not working after going to bench.
With no reentry you make a sub and match-up is not working you are stuck until 2nd half or end of game if it is already 2nd half.
Makes coaches much more careful about resting ANY key players except right before halftime. subs will get less playing time with no-reentry.

Regardless, they win more times than not - it's that simple.

Wow- PL wins a weak PAGS league and now they are the best in the region? I think central PA must have something wrong in the water. Quality competition, quality wins and depth are what make top teams...not running the table in 8x8 tourneys last year and weak leagues. PDA and East Meadow are far superior, and PF and MF would beat them more often than not.

Anonymous said...

Some NPL teams higer than I would have thought and some ECNL teams lower than I would have thought.

Anonymous said...

1:22 - agree

Anonymous said...

Have you seen all those teams play, 1:22? PDA, EM, PF, MF, and PL?

Anonymous said...

1:56 Yes.

Anonymous said...

1:22
Relax! No one from Legacy is claiming they are #1 in the region. The only person on here to say that is a non Legacy parent, who unlike you has at least seen them play. Having said that dont you think that claiming any team is #1 or even trying to number them 1-10 is about as productive as predicting the weather in FL? You know give it an hr it'll change. Every team mentioned here is great and most could beat each other on any given afternoon. I'm just wondering why non ecnl teams incl nj wildcats, calvert, and legacy seem to be getting such little respect from the ecnl'ers. Certainly if you look at tourn results and head to head results this fall they have earned it.

Anonymous said...

I heard STA got the game time wrong for its NPL game yesterday and was forced to forfeit. Is this true? STA, what happened?

Anonymous said...

2:15 isn't that the beauty of this blog is some makes a claim either you support it or you blow it up. Last thing on PL u12 is a lifetime ago, but I looked over their results way to many missed results to be included as a top team, what they change overnight. They couldn't beat Harford who is struggling in EDP but yet they can run with the big boys. I'm scared of what the score line would be if EM, PDA, MF, PF played them for something that mattered like a trip to nationals.

Penn Legacy @ u12

FC REVOLUTION FORCE (PAE) 1-5
CES CALVERT CREW WHITE (MD) 1-2
HARFORD FC UNITED THUNDER (MD) 0-1
RAGE FC PREMIER FREEDOM (NJ) 2-2
BRYC 01 ELITE (VA) 2-4
GREATER BINGHAMTON FC 01 SELECT (NYW) 1-1
GREATER BINGHAMTON FC 01 SELECT (NYW) 0-2
WEST CHESTER UNITED SC WCUSC PREDATORS'01G (PAE) 2-6
UKRAINIAN NATIONALS BLASTERS BLACK (PAE) 0-0

PAGS
FC EUROPA Liberty 1:2
HARFORD FC UNITED Thunder 1:2
HMMS Eagle FC Spirit 2:3

I think NJ WIldcats have respect, they can run with the big boyz. Calvert had results in a tournament against PDA - My only question is with a roster of 26 and Pre-ECNL sub rules, I wonder if it was a different roster than the one that plays their league games or at Eclipse. Calvert did what they had to, got the result, but girls 19-26 have to play some games as well. No excuse for Storm the team played and represented Storm and they got the L, but as an outsider I can only wonder what would have happened if both wanted the game the same way.

PL has played PF and smacked them, I'm sure they wanted to run up the score for a little revenge. Kind of reminds me of the Nj Wildcat/Storm fuel. One has ECNL and is looking in a different direction while the other wants to prove they belong. hey it is what it is a good result, but no body of work and besides I welcome the PA talk, a little bored of talking just NJ/NYE.

lastly, of course you can't predict the weather or which u13 team will beat the other when they are premier level teams. But DOESN"T it make it fun? Why are you on this board if not for that reason to have a little fun talking about your kid's team like they were the giants, jets or eagles?

2:15 - The Non ECNL teams do not play a tough league schedule or play 2 games just about every weekend. ( not every ECNL team is a top team)Once they start playing top clubs on a consistent basis they will get respect.
In the case of Legacy, it must be nice to play cupcakes in PAGS, where 5 out of the 11 teams could only win 2 games. there were 4 teams that in 8 games couldnt score double digit goals. The girls get rested and are ready to play in tourneys.
Now maybe Legacy needs to look at this team and move them to a league that actually pushes the girls to compete for 40 min a game. Go to better tourneys and play better competition on a consistent basis. Then they will get more respect.

Anonymous said...

Cats get their due, winning is everything and talking gunk on this blog is sooooo easy. so Cats first in EDP and ranked very high, this is no accident they actually win! FC Bucks vs FC Copa in Final but I can see Boca playing in Final as well, either way I give the nod to FC Bucks winning. Keep in mind this is an idiot's opinion on u13 Girls soccer being played this weekend. Bethesda this weekend as well

In response to "what they change overnight?" Well yea!
5 new players all start. Top girls from 5 different clubs 2 state odp 1 reg. 2 more just as good! 8v 8 vs 11v11 night and day. Add to that a couple girls thriving in new possistions a couple growth spurts and a new coach and that isnt even the same team. You want to determine the top teams right now in fall of 2014 at 11v11, 8v8 results from last yr might as well be u-9

4:01 yeah that would do it - it's a new team i get it.

Any reason they stayed local this fall instead of trying to compete against teams from NJ, NYE, MA & CT? or is the philosophy beat up on the locals first then join the Region 1 Champions League in the Spring in addition to Jefferson and Delco. I hope you guys get some tough teams applying to the Region 1 Champions League, because it looks like you out grew PAGS. I would like to compare PL but there is no body of work

Hey poster who told of blog where they respect teams and parents don't attack other kids teams and coaches. Can you post that site?
I for one wold love to switch to a site where there is respect for all teams and discussion is based on what happens on the soccer field, not personal grudges and parents having an axe to grind with old clubs/teams.
Can you post this blog address?
Thanks a lot.

Legacy did tie both the top 2 finishers on the same day, beat them both in PK's the next morning. Beat the 4th and 5th place teams by 3 goals and 4 goals respectively at Discovery, so I think they would have held their own just fine in that league. I think our girls would have loved the challenge of those teams week in and out. Maybe next yr. As for LVU and Harford, it's hard for me to view those results as struggling. A lot of ties and 1 goal decisions. Isn't that exactly where we want our girls to be right now? Prob a lot of those games could have gone either way, both very good teams IMO. Something tells me both will be just fine long before the college college scouts start coming around.

Teams will have to keep up and I only see a couple of ECNL teams challenging them for supremacy.

PDA will tell you whatever it is to keep you writing those checks. One team PDA is concerned about.Proof is when they bring the better players to play on that one team. They have to tell the other THREE teams whatever it is to keep them writing checks. If they cared about all of there other teams doing well they would not be moving there best players off that team.

It really is a shame for the PL girls. It seems as if they have a decent team for this age, but neither their parents nor the club seems to understand that they need to play better competition. As they get older and other clubs continue to play against top level competition, PL simply won't have enough experience nor be deep enough to play consistently at that level. Luckily for them, they won't have to do worry about that in PAGS.

Hi I am a matchfit parent, we were told that we would be the ecnl team, that's what we were told.

Thanks for your concern but I can assure you our parents and coaches know exactly where that team needs to be playing in the future. Jeff cup, colonial league, delco, and spirit in last 8 mo. So whats your critism? PAGS? Every game is a 5 yr running cross state rivalry. Some of those teams have some real talent so unless you've seen them play, you have no right to talk it down. Besides league apps were due 2 monthes before team ever played 11v11 together. The bottom 5 teams in ecnl have a goal diff of like -90! That certainly cant be tough games week in and out. Looks like the EDP league was the place to play for top level consistant competion. Legacy played 4 of their 5 top teams this fall and went 2-0-2(or 4-0 if you count the shootouts). Not bad for a team u think doesnt know what they are doing

I've paid my dues
Time after time.
I've done my sentence
But committed no crime.
And bad mistakes ‒
I've made a few.
I've had my share of sand kicked in my face
But I've come through.

(And I need just go on and on, and on, and on)

We are the champions, my friends,
And we'll keep on fighting 'til the end.
We are the champions.
We are the champions.
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions of the world.

One must ask, Champions of what? The B league? You need to see why most laugh. Where is the next step? It is all over now as far as competing with the top. They all move on next year......

Its a joke dickhead, did you leave your sense of humor in your car, along with your daughters cleats, lighten-up, and enjoy the mild weather.

Anonymous said...

There's that central PA class we've heard so much about...
And yes, you are indeed a joke! Come on out to Jersey sometime and play some real teams.

Anonymous said...

So easy.... The true wa wa white trash always comes out. ANOTHER reason not to be associated with that program.

10:10 Amen!

Wooo! Whats with the central pa rip? Last thing I posted was 9:31. This thread went way off coarse fast!

PA Guy(s),

Welcome to the board, there is no love for anyone here, there is no positive info, other than self-serving promotions, its just the competitive landscape of soccer in this region. Either you learn to roll with the punches, give some back, or get the hell out.

Have a nice day!

Anonymous said...

I am from NJ and I for one welcome the PA talk added to the blog. No need to go anywhere.

I mean, how much can we hear about the Wildcats, MF and PDA? PA thrown into the mix gives some variety.

Anonymous said...

PL- congrats on winning Pags and good luck this weekend in Bethesda.

Anonymous said...

Penn Legacy is not playing in Bethesda.

Anonymous said...

I am wondering how MF will use their players this weekend in Bethesda. Will be interesting to see who plays on each team.
Will they load the ECNL team up with players from the NPL TEAM? Then backload the remaining NPL team with players from Black and Blue teams?

Anonymous said...

You people are pathetic trashing 12-13 year old girls. Get a life

Anonymous said...

12:39 MF Coach has no interest in MF NPL players or dysfunctional parents.
You were sold a bag of magic beans and have been nothing but a paycheck for the last year and 1/2 you are still in denial about it.

Anonymous said...

This board is ultra competitive and often unpleasant but soccer landscape is not overly like this board.

Plenty of kids and families have a great time with the sport and if they want to read this board, they take all the negativity here with a grain of salt.

Anonymous said...

PF will beat Wildcats 2-1 this weekend.

Anonymous said...

I don't know what is worse for this board, when the Wildcats win or when they lose.

Anonymous said...

The bag of beans is you are with a program that has nothing to offer. The people who are in the MF program already know the kids that will be playing with the ECNL team next year. When they start mixing them is the question. No rush for this as we know there is a "next step" in our program. Go play one of those crazy tough league games and worry about your own program and the dead end road it has driven you down...

Anonymous said...

But think of all the GS points you will have at that dead end... Seeing it yet?

Anonymous said...

Sounds like there will be quite a bit of player movement over the winter.

Anonymous said...

There's always player movement. That is why the better teams get better.

Anonymous said...

You are right. The top 3 PDA teams, top 2 MF teMs and the Wildcats improved because of player movement.

Anonymous said...

When you say player movememnt you mean within club or external?

I also think the Pre-ECNL clubs that have multiple teams at this age will start preparing for u14. If we look at the u14's this year PA is in control. Will FC Bucks get an infusion of talent as well from - Ukranians, LVU and other local club teams? CFC Delco pull from West-Mont United and Nether United to build up their programs - it looks like these clubs can do what NJ Clubs do as well.

When will the ECNL push happen in PA? Will it follow NJ? or NYE?

PDA & MF very strong
EM & Albertson look like they struggling to pull players as EM doesn't have NPL and Albertson is not doing to hot.

If we look at u14 NPL and try to forcast - FC Stars will be in a good place, they seem to have MA in their back pocket.

I don't know the dynamics of these teams, could the top 3 to 4 players from these teams start looking at PF, FC Bucks and CFC Delco? I'm sure they would be alot stronger.

HMMS EAGLE FC 01 SPIRIT
LEHIGH VALLEY UNITED LVU 01 GIRLS
FC REVOLUTION FORCE
YARDLEY MAKEFIELD SOCCER YMS BANSHEES
RAGE SC '01 ATHLETICA
1776 UNITED FC XTREMES
UKRAINIAN NATIONALS BLASTERS BLACK
WYOMING VALLEY SC (TRAVEL) WVSCSOUTH
LDC UNITED ATTACK
HFC READY '01

Isn't it better for the star players on these teams to make a move to FC Bucks and CFC Delco two teams that are struggling - once you add 5 to 6 ODP level players the quality of training has just improved as will the product on the field.

If that was ever to happen at this age - the ECNL hands down would be the place to be with the 12 teams in division. From top to bottom nothing but quality.

Does Long Island ever jump on board? does NYSC lose players to WC? When does this happen? Will it happen?

In NJ you have two teams that are almost full so expansion here will be to the NPL teams I can see the same happening in CT and MA those clubs have tons of teams - is PA next? Probably not becasue they would rather spend an extra 1,500 on ODP to get that extra exposure from the sound of things.

Anonymous said...

The u13/u14 NYSC teams are better than the WC teams, don’t see much movement there...

Anonymous said...

ODP is a money grab at the younger ages. Why anyone would stay at a lesser club and rationalize it by saying it was ok because they were paying for ODP is ludicrous.
As far as girls from other teams in PA moving to PF, Bucks and CFC Delco, I would absolutely expect it to happen like it has in the past. PF and CFC consistently have one or two of their top players coming from central PA. To me, the better question is what happens to today's "hot teams" that lose their better players to the likes of Bucks, CFC and PF in PA in the next two years?

Why would a girl on lets say a very good YMS team leave a great club to play for an inferior(right now) team just because they have a few cute letters at the end of their name? Are you guys so brainwashed to think great coaching and player development exists no where outside your little ecnl bubble? Look at YMS at 15-17. Those teams will beat any ecnl team 9 times out of 10. Do your clubs actually develop players or just pooch the best they can that other coaches and programs?

Can someone just provide a brief summary on the differences between:

ODP
US Soccer Training Center
ID2
TIP

Is there any connection/relationship between the 4?

Do all 4 lead to the US Soccer or are they all independent?

Anonymous said...

All paths in the sport, at this level lead to USSF, that is grail that we all seek. For those that are are chosen for such teams can play for almost any school, the holy full-ride.

If that is what you seek, there you must go...

Anonymous said...

3:00 - I do not think players will be leaving those PA teams to come and play ECNL. As you can tell by post by 3:40 people believe playing inferior competition and winning is better then playing equal or better competition and possible losing.

Anonymous said...

3;40

If a Non ecnl club is lucky enough to have a great coach and a very deep talented team then the girls will stay. Parents will keep them there. However all too often these clubs don't have the depth and a loss of a couple of players that go the ECNL direction can start a Landslide of other players leaving. It sometime becomes like herding cats.
I have seen a few of these teams at various age groups that have both succeeded and some, after a few years, have failed to keep their players.

The ECNL is a n enticing draw. the marketing and potential collection of talent have been very enticing these past 3 years. and it is getting stronger. this is a challenge for a lot of very fine clubs outside the ECNL. The ownership of most of these clubs know the advantages of the ECNL from both an economic vantage point because of the draw of talent. Elite clubs outside the ECNL are campaigning to get in.
Its about the Money!

So any Non ecnl team that can keep their girls together and get them to college, I say Rock ON!

Great place to be - but it's getting harder and harder to keep the cats in the herd.

Anonymous said...

Good point soccer nut but any good coach would want to coach for an ECNL club. Will probably get a couple teams and recruiting is much easier.

Anonymous said...

I would say 3/4 non ECNL teams will survive and may add some players that will help make teams stronger

Which would be good thing for NJ

Anonymous said...

Agree. The only girls moving would be the best of these other teams. That would hurt those other teams. Not sure how non ECNL team would get better adding other players as those players will most likely be the players that were not good enough to jump to an ECNL team..... There will be movement non the less. Should be interesting

Anonymous said...

Why? I would move my kid it's not because of the letters ECNL, but because if that happens you would have 12 super teams playing each other 22 times plus 2 additional events (6 to 8 games) in the year where they will have an audience besides parents. SO is the training better, maybe maybe not - but the roster of talented girls 1 through whatever will push each other 2/3 times a week and then you get the bonus of playing super strong teams in league play. Will YMS have that for the new crop of kids? Maybe, Maybe Not - But as of now - ECNL didn't go away and I can see it get even stronger just like the DA did on the boy's side.

But what do I know I'm brainwashed.

Anonymous said...

3:40- do you mean the YMS U17 team that has a losing record in GS recorded games, even while not playing in top tournaments? I would love to agree with you that they would beat ECNL (fancy lettered) teams, but they haven't played many. But they do have a losing record playing in things like the FC Europa Cup.
There is no question that there are some quality soccer clubs outside of the ECNL and nobody is denying that. I also believe that the ECNL is the best league and has more good players. We all know how this ends...some people just haven't been willing to admit it yet.

Anonymous said...

College? This is a FACT - any kid playing premier level soccer at this age that wants to play in college will play for a school, no questions. There is a school for every level, just read that somewhere.

Scholarships, that's a parent's dream so they don't have to pay as much or a kid's dream' to get into a better school so they don't have that super load.

Thumb hit 7 instead of 6, so 15-16. But you knew that didnt you? which is why you focused on the 17's. Nice diversion though

Anonymous said...

4:51 but to his point, so 15 & 16's are good 17's not so good what's to say 13's will be as good as 15/16?

National League 2013/2014
15's (W2, L5)
16's (W4, L2, T1)
17's did not qualify
18's did not qualify

National League 2014/205
14's did not qualify
15's did not qualify
16's Qualified
17's did not qualify
18's Qualified

That's not bad 2 of the 5 get to play nationally, instead all 5 at a ECNL club.

Anonymous said...

Here's a question to consider. If the ECNL were to expand again this year (3 clubs added last year, 7 the previous year), who among our area would be a likely candidate?

Anonymous said...

1 from each state

NEFC
YMS
NJ Stallions
PA Classics
Brooklyn Knights/ Met Oval

Anonymous said...

I'd keep away from adding yet another team from North Jersey. NJ Stallions don't have any more depth, clubwise, than SJEB.

Anonymous said...

There is no colonial league - it's RCL these days.

And the coaches will be drinking and sleeping in suites on whose dime this weekend? Every idiot on this blog

Truth is: if any of you people were anyone who's opinions really mattered in the soccer world..... You wouldn't have time for this blog bashing crap. Whomp whomp : (

Go kick a ball with you kids ❤️⚽️☺️

P.S. There is also some good technical information, regarding standings, scores and schedules!

Just took a look at the weather forecast for the weekend down in old Maryland, and at 8am on Saturday morning the real feel is 24 degrees.

That is going to be brutal, sorry to all the players that have to endure that, parents too.

Good luck.

Anonymous said...

they already said games will be cancelled if temperature is 32 or below

Anonymous said...

What no complaints about the weather?- how is this any different than manhattan tournament in march? Are the going to cancel it? is there going to be a push that it's to cold for my kid to play and it's unsafe? If it doesn't why did Manhattan get all that crap this year. Why because it was March and in the North East it's open season to bash.

7:47 fyi - this is not directed at you.

7:31 100% Entertainment - just us parents have some fun chatting about our kids and their teams. Why anyone takes it serious is beyond me unless of course if you get thrown in front of a bus like some posters like to do with coaches/parents and kids those IPs should be blocked.

I think this board is in a good place these days, we have NJ, NYE and PA represented for sure. It would be nice if VA, MD, CT & MA posters were also on here but I'm sure they are on a different board.

with ECNL, Region1 Champions League (RCL) and NPLs we are going to have many good talks about top teams in the region and get to follow 3 paths to 3 different national Titles.
