U13G / U13 Girls Youth Soccer

U13G  / U13 Girls youth soccer seems to offer the most teams and the widest diversity of talent.

Where these players will end up is anyone guess.

Welcome to the ride.

9:02. Yes thank you. Much appreciated. Next tournament looks to be Spirit. What's the consensus?

Anonymous said...

FC Stars of Mass is the tournament to attend, not Spirit. Get out of here with that.

Anonymous said...

where is the link for EDP championship

Anonymous said...

Would be refreshing if PDA apologists would admit they were wrong and gained an unfair competitive advantage over the other Academies in Region 1 and nationally by using rutgers womens soccer coaches to coach their U15-u18 girls teams despite those teams having multiple players who live beyond the allowed 50 mile radius from rutgers as per NCAA Rules.
The PDA administration and other PDA coaching staff turned a blind eye to the shenanigans because they were having success and the $$$$ were coming in and they were all getting their share.
Don't hold your breath though.
More rationalizations are coming.

"A college coach can only call or visit you after July of your junior year in high school.
That means a coach cannot place an outbound call to you, nor can he initiate a visit to
your home or school specifically to talk to you about playing a sport at his or her college,
until the summer before your senior year. Remember, this deals only with outbound
communication from a coach.

You can call or meet with a coach at any point in your high school career. That’s right;
you can call a coach whenever you want. "

So when you tryout for a club who is initiating the contact?

The player is, please enough with this play by the rules business - this is a u12 board going to u13 - Really - take this to a place where it matters

Because if you don't i'll start talking MLS and I will answer my own questions on top of that.

5:33 yes as a high school age player you can call a coach and if he or she is in the office and picks up they can speak to you but they cannot call you back. The NCAA 50 mile rule relates to college coaches coaching/training and interacting with a high school student athlete as a volunteer or paid coach at a youth soccer club, be it pda or any other club.
Regardless of whether the player chooses to try out or you invite them to try out for the club team the college coach cannot train or coach the high school age player if you live more than 50 miles from the college where they coach.
the point is rutgers coaches are coaching the U16 and other high school age pda teams which includes players living beyond 50 miles from rutgers and that is against ncaa rules. What is so hard to understand.
They are cheating.
It is against the rules.
It is an unfair advantage gained by circumventing the rules that apply to all College programs and clubs.

Anonymous said...

The NCAA rule says "prospective student-athletes" on the team coached by a college coach must be within 50 miles of the coach's home institution. Perhaps the exploited loop hole lies in the word "prospective." If Rutgers is not recruiting a specific athlete from a PDA team she does not qualify as a "prospective" student athlete and no rule is broken.

Rutgers recruits other clubs too, not just PDA. Rutgers may take 4-5 PDA players a year (out of nearly 50 if they have 2 teams of 24) but they also draw from elsewhere. Don't forget PDA does have multiple teams and not all of their coaches are college coaches.

Lots of college coaches coach club teams. I bet if you look around you'll see plenty of them. Isn't the Temple head coach also the coach of a NJ club team? What about the CT teams?

Anonymous said...

You have officially beaten the horse to death. Write a letter to the newspaper already will you. My god, enough. No one cares but you. It is just recycling the same story.

Anonymous said...

prospective -"a person expecting or expected to be something in the future". In this case the ncaa refers to the current high school athlete who is expecting or expected to become a college student athlete in the future.
It includes ALL prospective student athletes, not only the ones rutgers may claim to be interested in.
NCAA rules are in place limiting contact with all high school players for college coaches irregardless of whether they actually recruit or sign them to their school.
Nice try though.
For instance the high school graduating class of 2012 commitment list on Top Drawer Soccer website includes 3 rutgers commits from far down in south jersey all listing pda as their home club. Look at the roster of the current U16 girls team that just won the national title.
check out their hometowns.
Same thing.
That team is coached by the rutgers coaches.
There are even cases of out of state players playing on some of these pda teams at the older ages at pda who are coached by the rutgers coaches.

Anonymous said...

College coaches can coach club ball, but the players they coach MUST live withing a 50 mile radius of the college at which they coach. Very simple.
The reasons for this restriction are obvious as it creates an unfair advantage for both the college and club.
How about instead of attacking the messengers and making ridiculous excuses you just start playing by the rules.

Please call the FBI immediately. We know who they are, we know where they live. What are we waiting for? I don't think I will sleep tonight knowing that these criminals are walking among us. We end to clean up the streets and keep NJ safe.

Okay this board has really confused me now.

First the Daddy Coach is Bad
Now the College Coach is bad

So who exactly do we want to coach all these kids this high level soccer this board wants so much at the young ages? Who's going to develop all our kids?

Anonymous said...

Enough with this story, nothing is new. PDA coaches might have conflict of interest? Really? You found out now? PDA has it's hands on every soccer organization in this country and you spent five days talking about 50 miles rules. You are right and it is wrong the way they have been working. But it is a much bigger issue if you really look at it

Anonymous said...

What a bunch of babies you all are. The PDA haters are just jealous- go back to admiring your clubs home page and the big win you had over your neighboring town team!
FYI brick to rutgers is 39 miles.

Anonymous said...

Dear lord people. The outraged 50 mile poster is just trolling. Its the same dude who was all excited to play for the red card coach. It's been a slow summer. Let's all entangle ourselves from his trolling net, give him a begrudging slow clap, and get ready for the Stars of Mass and Spirit flights to be posted soon.

*slow clap*

"slow clap"

We live 49.99 miles from my door to Rutgers so I'm good! This person had me worried for a bit, NOT! Give it a rest & enjoy summer. This board will not & should not heat up until later August.

See below from Wikipedia -40 miles south from rutgers at north end of route 18 at Hoes Lane takes you to end of route 18 in wall. Also within 1 mile of parkway at exit 98, follow 10 additional miles south on GS Parkway to reach Brick area.
That Brick area at GS Parkway exit 88 is 50 miles south of rutgers at north end of route 18.

Route 18 is a 40.16-mile (64.63 km) long state highway in the US state of New Jersey. It begins at an intersection with Route 138 in Wall and ends when the road disseminates into Hoes Lane in Piscataway.

What MLS is 1W, 2T, 8L, 9GF, 28GA vs EPL

Anonymous said...

Yeah the only W was Red Bulls because they didn't play by the rules. They say they are NY but they play in NJ gives them a huge advantage. Yeah instead of playing on concrete or in school yards they play on grass. which also happens to be in PDA territory, lets blame them for this as well, PDA steals everything.

Anonymous said...

EPL is in pre-season form MLS is in mid-season form oh boy US soccer has a way to go

Anonymous said...

Keep up with this 50 mile stuff, I can MLS all day.

Anonymous said...

So, who is playing in the CRUSH tournament ?

Anonymous said...

FC Crush teams are the only ones playing in this tournament, that way they can’t lose.

Anonymous said...

NCAA rules don't apply to Pros,MLS, etc.
Fact remains you are and have been cheating all along.
Ask the still reeling Rutgers Administration how they will feel about another scandal and NCAA investigation into the Rutgers athletic dept on the eve of the move to the Big Ten Conference this fall..

Anonymous said...

Soccer is the # 4 sport in this country. Until that changes to the top 2 we will not have the athletes to compete against the world. It's the number 1 on the girls side. Not close on the men's

Anonymous said...

It's a 50 mile radius as the crow flies from the college coach's institution, NOT a 50 mile "physical road/NJTP/GSP" limit.

So knowing that were is the 50 mile limit now?

Anonymous said...

*where (pre-empting the grammar police)

Anonymous said...

7:05 I don't buy into your #4 argument. I don't care if soccer was #20 in our great country, with the size, population and resources we have - to be honest we don't have an excuse other than we are just not that good at this sport on the Men's side. The only thing that has saved us on the Women's side is that we have a huge player pool compared to other countries and that Europe hasn't invested in the game until recently. In Europe and South America Women just didn't play Soccer, that's started to change and the sad thing is countries like Germany, France, Sweden an Japan give us a game now.

The problem with soccer is we don't pay.

Anonymous said...

From a soccer perspective why people care about college and school's having an advantage to play in college is beyond me (college should be #1 regardless of sport). The game isn't very nice they are not learning anything it's kind of like HS ball. If you are a prodigy you get hurt by playing HS or College ball

However, Lindsey Horan bypassed college soccer to begin playing professionally in Europe at 18, and just finished her second season with Paris Saint-Germain, she hasn't received as much attention on this side of the Atlantic because of this. When she was 18 "In an unprecedented move for a women’s soccer player, forward Lindsey Horan has signed a six-figure contract with French club PSG and foregone her previous commitment to NCAA powerhouse North Carolina"

"Could Americans moving abroad become a trend as European club teams continue to build better teams? There isn’t a club in the U.S. right now that would come anywhere close to matching that type of salary."

Anonymous said...

Who won EDP championship?

Anonymous said...

As the crow flies probably southern ocean county, maybe toms river hits 50 miles south from rutgers.

Anonymous said...

Let our "50 mile fanatic" (or 50MF for short), continue his rant posts. Let's just agree not to respond to them. This will then probably resort to him responding to himself and hopefully it will become much less fun and then eventually will disappear. We can only hope.

For the love go Pete can U13 start soon please!

Anonymous said...

As long as one parent is pissed off that PDA cut their kid, you will have attacks on PDA. This past week's rant is Rutgers. What is next week's rant?

Anonymous said...

Regardless of the motivation for bringing up the 50 mile rule I am dumfounded that anyone could brush off a blatant NCAA rule violation.

Anonymous said...

10:38 true but it's not a single ncaa violation, rutgers/pda has conspired together on the girls side for the last 14 years to make a mockery of ncaa rules which do not allow high school age players to meet with, speak to, train with, play for, or have their parents interact with college coaches if they live more than 50 miles from the coaches college institution.
Only a pda acolyte or apologist would try to defend this against all reason. The impact of circumventing this rule for recruiting purposes to both parties advantage are obvious as is the many reasons for this rule and other rules limiting and outlining the parameters of allowed contact between hs players and college coaches to be in place.the purpose is a level playing field for everyone.
To act as if this is no big deal is ridiculous. It has had a huge impact on the competitive balance for both competitors of PDA on the girls Academy side in Region 1 and beyond as well as for the ncaa institutions who have competed with rutgers for the top nj high school female players over the past decade plus.

You got the wrong person. But please do try and be careful what you post.

Anonymous said...

It's a well-formed trolling argument. He's done a really nice job of conflating Rutgers alleged violations with PDA's actions ("they are one and the same!" "hard to believe they weren't in on this together").

And the conclusory statements Are wonderful:"The impact of circumventing this rule for recruiting purposes to both parties advantage are obvious" and " It has had a huge impact on the competitive balance". Unsubstantiated conclusory statements are Trolling 101.

I just love the idea that the lure of Rutgers (Rutgers!) has caused players to flood to PDA and created a huge competitive imbalance in NJ.

Anonymous said...

I think the greater lure might be the chance to train with and be coached by college coaches as a youth player in club ball. Either way breaking the rules has been a competitive advantage to both PDA and Rutgers in this arrangement for many years now.
To argue the degree of the advantage gained is to miss the point.
It is against the rules, it is cheating, it is dishonest.
There are penalties and sanctions in place by the NCAA for breaking their rules.
And your minimizing of the draw of Rutgers for NJ high school players to make your point is a bit disingenuous. Rutgers is a very good womens soccer program(and moving to the Big ten will certainly raise their profile) and a very good academic institution.
Rutgers has drawn very strong players from PDA Program year in and year out.
Very funny to see PDA quickly ready to separate themselves and throw Rutgers coaches under the bus as the noose tightens.

Anonymous said...

So your daughter didn't make a PDA team because of this "flood" of 50 mile+ talent chasing Rutgers through PDA or she didn't make Rutgers team because of unfair advantages given to less talented PDA players. Which is it? Either way, again no one cares.

Anonymous said...

Clearly the moral issue is lost on the recent PDA apologists(8:49am and 9:27am).You are either abiding by the rules or you are breaking them.
Integrity is not a matter of degrees.
Especially for those who aspire to work with and be role models for our children.

Anonymous said...

Not a PDA apologist. Not affiliated with PDA (or Rutgers for that matter). Just sick and tired of the redundant posts. You have beaten it to death. If there is a violation, I am sure it will be dealt with by the people that oversee that (NCAA). You posting the same crap 100 times on a U12 girls blog isn't going to change anything. I guess that is lost on you.

"I think the greater lure might be the chance to train with and be coached by college coaches as a youth player in club ball."

Agreed. Lots of clubs do this. What rule did PDA break by having college coaches as trainers?

Anonymous said...

I, for one, am disgusted by the Rutgers/PDA dynasty and their blatant disregard for NCAA rules simply for the sake of perennial domination of women's college soccer. I ask...no I DEMAND that Rutgers do the right thing and forfeit all of their NCAA Championships since this all began. What? They haven't won anything? Well, surely they've at least played for a National Championship? No? Final Four? Still no? What? They can't even win their conference? Hmmm. Ok, as you were....

Anonymous said...

I think we coordinate a full out sting operation and round up all the culprits tonight while they sleep and dream of National Championships. Who is with me?

9:22 Are you available tonight? If not, let us know a few dates that work for you where you are available to conduct the midnight home raids. I am sure you want to be there and see their faces when they are awoken from their slumber and you can lay it on them. It will be rewarding for you to face the accused.

Anonymous said...

So this is about a parent who is upset their kid didn't get recruited or get to play at Rutgers and is pissed off at PDA because they think the only way to play at Rutgers is to play at PDA.

Rutgers recruits players they need regardless of affiliation. If Rutgers was so so so pro-PDA why is a member of their incoming class from Match Fit?

Rutgers also has players coming in from PA Rush and Atlanta Fire. Their PDA players are from various teams .... and they are not all from the "A" team as well.

Fact is, if your kid is good enough, Rutgers would look at them and then decide if your kid could fill a future void created by a graduating player.

Your kid could always walk-on if you insist your kid play at Rutgers.

Anonymous said...

To further your point, 11:30, and to essentially echo what 10:26 said, if you're daughter was really good enough, she wouldn't be considering Rutgers, either. If my daughter is going to play college soccer for a non-championship caliber program, there are far better colleges and universities I'd hope for her to attend. Even if the goal was for her to stay somewhat close to home.

Anonymous said...

2 choices to get rutgers and pda in compliance:
1 -remove players living more than 50 mile radius from rutgers from U15-U18 pda girls teams coached by 3 rutgers coaches employed by pda club.
or

2 - Discontinue pda club's use of rutgers coaches as PDA coaching/training staff.

All the excuses about how many pda players rutgers recruits and how good rutgers womens program is, etc. in previous posts has nothing to do with the point being made about being in violation of ncaa rules and getting into compliance.

Anonymous said...

^^^^loser^^^^

Anonymous said...

...and once the said players are removed from the roster that will open up a spot for Sally. If that is the way you want her to "earn" the spot, then more power to you (and her). Good luck to you on your pursuit.

Anonymous said...

PDA is, and has been, in compliance.

Anonymous said...

I was thinking the same about Rutgers.Really what's so great about it?The dorms are completely disgusting.Campus is nothing great. Not a very well known college degree for anyone willing to take there degree outside of Jersey.I wouldn't be jumping on a team just because it's coached but the Rutgers coach.Notre Dame,Cornell,Yale.Or even locally like Saint Josephs.Yes now you are talking. But seriously Rutgers?I think not.

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know what U13 Girls teams will be playing FC Stars on Labor Day?

Anonymous said...

Yes, we will be there, excited?

Anonymous said...

Wait, was that a soccer question related to U13 girls? What is that doing on this blog? Are you going to be driving more than 50 miles away from Rutgers to get to this tournament? How far will that be from PDA?

Anonymous said...

11:41 - which PDA teams have players beyond the 50 mile radius?

Anonymous said...

comparing aa 20 year old league to that of a 200 year old league doesn't make sense. Making comparisons of a nation's soccer development to that of the success of their domestic league says you might not really know what you are talking about. Let's look at Serie A (Italy), La Liga (Spain), Bundesliga (Germany) and the Premier League (England). Probably the 4 best leagues in the world. Out of these four countries, how many made it out of the group stage of the last World Cup?

Anonymous said...

Just need to look at the rosters of the U15-U18 teams that have any interaction(coaching/training/etc) with the 3 rutgers coaches on pda staff and see if they have any players roster who live below southern ocean county or out of state..If they are indeed in compliance then PDA could easily produce the evidence and it would be easy enough to confirm that the home towns listed were accurate.

Anonymous said...

As predicted 50MFer is posting (1:23) and then answering his own posts (1:41).

Hopefully we are nearing the end now :).

FC Stars accepted teams will be announced July 30

Anonymous said...

Based on past results, known player movement here is my stab at opening top 10 for u13 girls soccer in NJ:

1- NJX
2- Matchfit
3- PDA Storm
4- NJ Wildcats
5- PDA Ajax
6- SJEB
7- PDA Dragons
8- Crush
9- NJSA Galaxy
10- Morris STA

Any of the top 5 are interchangeable & I would not be surprised if any of those teams make it to #1 by end of Spring/2015 (in NJX's case stay as #1). Bigger drop after that from 6-10. Thoughts?

Anonymous said...

Rutgers has not won anything and their program is not in the top tier of women's soccer.
So what's the fuss about?
Sounds like disgruntled parents.

- Keep it moving.

Anonymous said...

Not only that, 5:06, but there will be staff turnover now that Rutgers is Big Ten. May be a moot point soon

Anonymous said...

5:06 continue to miss the point.
Cheating is cheating, there are no degrees of integrity.
Arguing about how big an impact the rule breaking is making is beside the point.

Anonymous said...

just curious why is NJX #1?

PDA Pre Ecnl added many players to improve roster

Match Fit Pre Ecnl as well added many players including GFA girl

Would like to hear your feedback, you must have some inside information.

Anonymous said...

What is the rationale for rating SJEB so high?

Anonymous said...

Because that is what team his/her daughter plays on.

Anonymous said...

5:02 I will play along but first we have to get the team names right and this is NJ only?

1, Match Fit NE NPL
2. Match Fit Pre ECNL
3. PDA Pre-ECNL
4. NJ Wildcats

5. PDA South NE NPL
6. PDA North NE NPL
7. NJ Crush Tsunami NPL
8. STA Morris United NPL
9. Atlantic United Academy
10. Rage FC Premier Freedom

NY
1. World Class Pre-ECNL
2. East Meadow Pre-Ecnl
3. Albertson Fury Pre-ECNL
4. NY Soccer Club
5. Sachem Speed
6. Atletico
7. ISA NPL
8. QuickStrike NPL
9. Massapequa NPL
10. SI Hotshots

PA
1. PennFusion Pre-ECNL
2. PennLegacy Black
3. FC Revolution Force
4. PA Classics Academy
5. Ukranian Nationals Black
6. YMS Banshees
7. Rage Athletica
8. 1776 United Extremes
9. LDC United Attack
10. Lehigh Valley United 01

NJ and NY are Club Soccer states ECNL/NPL.
While NJ and NY seem to be merging to make Super Clubs - PA still believes in spreading the wealth it looks liek and is USYSA State.

5:16, thank you so much for the lecture on black and white ethics. Give specifics 1:41. Which teams are they? No need to say player names or numbers. Geographical location is good enou

Anonymous said...

Why are you encouraging? It is never going to go away from this blog.

Anonymous said...

I can understand why matchfit NPl is ranked #1.

I dont understand how the Matchfit pre ecnl teams gets to be #2.

Nothing in their record indicates that they would be #2.

At this point it looks like the Matchfit NPL team is better than the matchfit ECNL team.

PDA # 2 and Wildcats Number #3,

Then I would say Matchfit ECNL. @ #4

Matchfit ECNL parents always like to bolster their club.

Anonymous said...

I'll explain.

The team he listed as Match Fit pre ECNL is last year's Match Fit BLACK team that played up at U13 NPL and went to NC.

The team he calls Match Fit NPL is actually NJX.

Anonymous said...

That team got blown away in NC...
Now they add slick from igfa, they may not make it till spring....

Anonymous said...

Ranking these teams is pretty stupid endeavor.

The top 2 teams after another year will be PDA and Matchfit.

who will be stronger will depend on the better coaching.

Anonymous said...

Matchfit ecnl team is a good solid team.

but both matchfi npl and PDA are a lot stronger.

Anonymous said...

for a U12 team to make NPL finals is a great accomplishment. Getting blown away? I actually thought they did a good job playing top older teams.

ECNL team is the ECNL team for a reason. Match Fit would not make them ECNL if this team is not worth it.

Anonymous said...

Still 5 teams that could beat each other any day

Swapped out Rage for Wildcats. Crush still in that group, Ajax a slight bit below.

Will be interesting to see what Rage looks like this year.

Top 5 (alphabetical)

CRUSH
Match Fit
NJX
PDA Storm
Wildcats

No denying.

Anonymous said...

8:14.

you are a moron.

The top girls on both of these teams will combine. That will be the ecnl team.

Anonymous said...

I have heard this is untrue.

May happen for U14. The true start of ECNL

I think the first year NJX affiliates with Match Fit they may wish the girls to stay in their comfort level.

Keep the state cup champs together, dont force extra travel, etc.

That's the wise way to go

Anonymous said...

Match Fit will have an excellent pool of players to select from as will Storm combining with Ajax. The MF and PDA combination teams for ECNL could be pretty scary and very competitive. I am not sure how far from Rutgers both teams will be though. Will have to check on that.

Anonymous said...

No to dad coaches. no to college coaches. yes to red card coaches.

Anonymous said...

8:47 extra travel?

NJX will travel exactly the same as ECNL team.

By Spring, 2-3 NJX will be playing with ECNL girls.

Anonymous said...

Travel to PRACTICE. Should have made that clear, sorry. You could be right about jumps in the spring, especially if NJX doesnt win the Cup in the fall.

Anonymous said...

5:42 PA ECNL/NPL CFC seems to be the only attempt at forming a super club thru a merger. FC Bucks and PennFusion appear to be nothing more than the A/B teams within their respective clubs. I do think it's only a matter of time before the ECNL clubs look to expand. The interesting thing will be if they expand with satellites or just look to poach teams.

Anonymous said...

Most pda ajax players cannot be coached by rutgers coaches as they are mostly from south jersey.

Another dead horse beat down

Anonymous said...

Now this is good stuff! All we need now is fannypack dude to chime in.

Anonymous said...

Mass tourney going to be a good one over Labor Day weekend. Most of the teams will be nice and fresh with some game time off and just some new training. Should be fun to see where these teams are at. Taking most of summer off with games is the smart thing to do. Keeps them interested and hungry when it all starts back up.

Anonymous said...

Kind of why the edp thing blew up for this past weekend. Many realized more games just to play games is not really the best thing for the girls.

Anonymous said...

It is a dead horse... But... The college coaches aren't allowed to hold admin positions either.

Anonymous said...

Who won the edp game last weekend, I kind of have an idea because I haven't heard any results.

Anonymous said...

Yes, someone give us scores, and info about the u12 playoff, did Calvert Crew win??

Anonymous said...

If the wildcats won, it would be all over their website.

EDP championship was a joke to begin with at this age.

Its teams that have nothing more that gravitate towards this type of stuff.

This and more GOT Soccer points

Anonymous said...

7:27, I totally agree dude.

Look for NY and CT to challenge NJ and MA for the top spots, the brackets should be interesting. On a side note, I hope we get to play teams that we have not seen:

Breakers
MF NPL
Wildcats
PDA Storm

Heard those teams are pretty good : )

Anonymous said...

Why wouldn't 2-3 MF Black players be joining the NPL team by spring? What makes you bloggers think players are going to try to jump to MF Black. From what I am hearing, Black was given the pre ECNL league because that team had tenure with MF. I can't see any players leaving NJX for the Black team by spring. Wishful thinking by many!

Anonymous said...

They will leave if they are told to join.If not they will stay. its that simple. No one stays on the B team in an ecnl organization. parents are stupid.

And my guess, is it would be more like 5 players that will take starting spots right away on the ecnl team.

Anonymous said...

meant to say "parents aren't stupid"

Anonymous said...

No B team as of yet.

Anonymous said...

pre -ecnl team is A team

NPL teams are the B team in the ECNL structure.

whichever team wears the ecnl patch is the A team.

B team means that this team will not compete in the highest league. they will compete in the npl against all the other B teams of the ECNL clubs.

It does not mean at the moment that the match fit npl team is weak. it just means that this npl team is designated for the second level of competition.

when it comes time to put together the top team to represent matchfit, it will no doubt be a combo of both these teams. only the best players will play on the ecnl team at u14. The rest will play in npl structure. If you are asked to play in the ECNL, a parent will certainly take them up on the opportunity.

Anonymous said...

Correct. But that is at u14. It's u13 right now. So the fools who think 2-3 players are going to leave the npl team for the pre ECNL are fooling themselves. If MF wanted it that way, they should have done the change this year. Not fair or right to do that to any of the players on both teams. NJX coach and MF personnel dropped the ball on this one and screwed their better players on NJX. Unless they find a competitive league for them, that team will suffer because of the politics and favoritism.

Anonymous said...

Pre-ECNL team for MF is not considered the A team!

Anonymous said...

What teams will be in the NPL league (I believe this may have been posted previous)?

Anonymous said...

11.29

i dont care who the better team is at the moment, i am merely specifying the ecnl.

Even if the matchfit NPL team is indeed the better team, they still have to play against other B team competition. In the end it will make no difference who the stronger team is because the better players will chosen to play on the ecnl team. If your daughter is not picked then you will have to either accept the npl for her or find another ecnl team that she may be able to play for at u14.

so in the end, it does not matter who is stronger now. All that matters is if your daughter gets chosen to play for top team of the club at u14.

Anonymous said...

I DO NOT belong to Match Fit, well not yet!

I have spoken to DOC regarding my daughter often. He has referred to Pre ECNL as the A team. Did offer her an opportunity to play with this team or play age up with his U14 team. Same packaged GFA girl choose. He mentioned that several players from NPL will most likely play for ECNL as well. DOC is very high on this team, very high and arguably so. He backed it up by saying, this team played up last year and this year in NPL, very pleased with team making NPL finals this year. Our conversation the whole time was selling the North team, on how he believes this team will compete every year for finals.

He may provide a different scenario to NJX parents, as a recruit, this is what is being said.

Anonymous said...

So what package did the GFA player choose since you know so much?

Anonymous said...

As stated above, GFA will be playing with U14 ECNL and U13 ECNL

Anonymous said...

Going to be interesting over there. I heard differently. Sounds like some sneaky stuff transpiring.

Anonymous said...

I was told GFA player went to NJX. Is that not true?

Anonymous said...

Not sure how else to say it again.

GFA girl will be playing with U14 (this is grade appropriate) and U13 Pre ECNL (age appropriate). might play one or 2 games with NJX. Same option I have

Anonymous said...

"Not sure how to say it"

I think you have been misinformed!

Anonymous said...

Nothing being misinformed personally. GFA parent took this option, I am considering this.

What's being misinformed?

NJX team will be ECNL team in future?

I asked that, a prompt response was current team is ECNL team, along with the best players that come out next year.

Anonymous said...

NJX Parents banking on their team being ECNL team from sounds of post

Anonymous said...

Will there even be an IGFA team in the fall? They struggled this Spring and now they lost their "best player"

Anonymous said...

They will have a team. Training 6 days per week. Double sessions on weekends when there are no games.

Anonymous said...

Everyone should be careful with what they are being 'sold'. In the end this is a business and one which has proven not to be above the ol "bait 'n switch"... all these DOCs and clubs see and hear is cha-ching...

...and yes, I am telling you from experience.

Anonymous said...

I agree, this is why I am doing my diligence.

Many findings point to team up North being the foundation. If people research, you will find some interesting things happening for Match Fit and WHO IS BEHIND IT ALL

Anonymous said...

Dude - NJX isnt taking any Match Fit Black players just occasionally.

If you are talking about guesting with NJX on a weekend that MF Black doesnt play.....maybe

I could see many MF Black players playing up at U14 ECNL, since they arent any good.

And I could see that being tossed as a carrot to the dad that was trying out.

Anonymous said...

I think in general Match Fit is HOPING a few NJX parents decide to make the ECNL trip while leaving their State Champ team behind.

In reality, will this occur? Not so sure - and not what I have heard to date. (Heard MF Black is mostly UNCHANGED)

Anonymous said...

Who's NJX? ALL I see when I check gotsoccer as the number 1 team in NJ is

MATCH FIT ACADEMY FC NORTH EAST NPL

NJX is a thing of the past let it go. Once you do that it's simple you have an ECNL team and an NPL team. There is no doubt where the best players will play and that's with the ECNL team where ever it trains or plays it's games.

Anonymous said...

I'm sure a few NJX players will just head to PDA ECNL if the MF DOC pulls the usual act he always does.

Anonymous said...

Why don't the (former) MF Black and NJX teams play a home/away match with goal differential to decide who is ECNL and NPL. Any predictions who wins?

Anonymous said...

If they truly want to put the best team forward for U14 ECNL it should be 4-6 girls from each existing team with 4-6 new girls. Simple. But not necessarily what will happen.......

Anonymous said...

Because no one cares about which team gets the ECNL team. People care about having the better players all on one team together and competing. Doesn't matter where it comes from. It's just not logical to take a couple of players and add to one team without knowing who is actually better.

Anonymous said...

NPL only added 1 player to roster
ECNL added GFA player along with 4 new players

Anonymous said...

And for this year, that is fine. All about the training now. Then next year they will know the 12-14 players that will make up the U14 ecnl team and recruit a few more...... GFA kid lives south. Will play with NE NPL team this year. Will she be one of the 14 for U14 ECNl? Who knows.....

Anonymous said...

Enough with her already, she is a very strong player, no doubt, but she has serious competition, not only from girls on my kids team, but from all the other great teams in the region.

We have played the following teams, and this is how I would rank them, if I had to, and apparently I do, have to.

1. MFB
(We could of beaten them, we just didn't want to)

2. PDA AJAX
(They got lucky, and it was hot)

3. Crush
(They paid off the ref., and they cheat)

But other than that...

Anonymous said...

GFA player came to play for NJX I am hearing. Had nothing to do with the Black team.

Anonymous said...

People are clueless. DAD will only have his kid play on ECNL teams. I know this for FACT. He is not a fan of NJX or MF NPL

Anonymous said...

Dad not gonna have the juice he and or you think come U14. Program has the kids now. Where are they gonna go now? You are foolish to think he will have the upper hand......

Anonymous said...

DAD got worked....... he will not be there for long....

Anonymous said...

According to all you bloggers, she was suppose to be wearing a PDA uniform this up and coming season. Looks like it will be a MFA one instead.

Anonymous said...

Wouldn't work anyway, no I in PDA

Anonymous said...

The contrary my friend..... Too many I's just let in to PDA. Main reason team took a step back....

Anonymous said...

7:01.

You wish your team had that kind of step back. Those I's would make your daughter look silly.

.

Both matchfit with their I's and Pda with their I's would dance around your daughter and make her look silly.

Anonymous said...

My kid is on match fit. My point to you was PDA has plenty of I's as you stated they did not have any......

Anonymous said...

There is an I in PDA. Income-

Anonymous said...

NPL or ECNL. I would not mind my daughter playing for NPL. Yes this will be B teams for ECNL clubs. By the time U15 comes around, these ECNL clubs 2nd teams will have some very talented players. If these teams make NPL finals, they will play A teams from other clubs.

Not a bad choice!

Anonymous said...

at 7:43.

I am going to have to call you out on that,

Do you know the kids on PDA?

If you knew the team then you would know that the club-coach does not tolerate I's as you call it.

And the kids that came on to the team have actually made team stronger. As would any team that added quality players.

Please know what you are talking about before you throw out a blanket statement. I look forward to the competition of the pre-ecnl and we hope the match between the two teams will be a quality one.

Anonymous said...

do you really believe 7:43 is from Match Fit. someone pretending to be from that club

Anonymous said...

Who will coach pda storm team now?
I can't believe anyone really believed rutgers coach was going to be able to coach and travel to tournaments with a U13 team this fall. That was just a ruse to keep a divided team most of whom were unhappy with their old coach together through tryout process so no one left team.

Anonymous said...

So..PDA lost out on the kid from GFA?

Here come the extra phone calls saying what a mistake she is making, the incessant flaming of the team that did get her

They cant lose a player and let it be

That player will fit in great with NJX. Excellent choice.

Anonymous said...

10:14

Troll alert.

Anonymous said...

I agree. Good choice. She will fit in well with that team. A ton of speed and strength down there. Wish we were closer.

Anonymous said...

10:14

As you can see by studing the national teams from u14 up to the women's team, there is always representation by PDA players.

While i see nothing wrong with reaching out to other players, I do not think that the player mentioned is one that they have on their list.

Good luck to NJX in the coming season.

Good team and much success!

Anonymous said...

Wow..how many days of the blog obsessing over 1 player will we get? It's a shame she wasted a year "training" with GFA and playing for a crazy coach.
I am being honest, I was not impressed. Very athletic kid, but can see her attitude destroying chemistry anywhere her and her dad go. Spends a lot of time on the ground and limping around too.

Anonymous said...

6:58, hahahaha, oh no you didn’t...

I must say, reluctantly, that she did flop, and embellish in the box a bit when we played them, it was obvious, and got a good laugh from some of us. That is a taught attribute, no girl on my kids team would do that, they would get up, and try to finish.

haha, funny.

Anonymous said...

Yes, she wasted time at brick and GFA but now Match fit will save her future career. The best place she could be. All the way to national.

Anonymous said...

Just love how this Blog has become all about PDA & MF. That's the way its supposed to be.

Anonymous said...

I like the idea of NJX and MF Black playing at least twice this upcoming season and see who has the better players.

Where did MF Black 4 new players come from ?

How many did they lose ?

NJX added how many ?
How many did they lose ?

PDA Storm added how many ?
How many did they lose?

Sounds like a few teams lost players and will look quite different this year.

Anonymous said...

Yes, its true, they all lost players, but we are still hopeful that we will find them, soon.

Anonymous said...

Yes they should play so the DOC can see the players who have a future on the ECNL team. The finally they can put to rest where the team will train and play out of.
I think some are afraid of reality and what might happen!

Anonymous said...

Too small and too slow

Anonymous said...

Ouch, the truth hurts...

Anonymous said...

I see just one PA club (Lower Merion) is attending Stars Cup.

Top team in Maine (MCU Portland) will be there.

One team (Weston) out of Florida but I didnt see them in current U12 ranks.

Will there be a separate pre ECNL bracket for U13 and up?

Anonymous said...

Strange also to not see South Shore Elite listed.

Anonymous said...

Where is the accepted teams list??

Anonymous said...

Applied teams is out on FC Stars site.

But there was a link on the U13 board at Back of the Net that might be different.

Anonymous said...

RE: teams losing players

Sometimes a team loses players and looks THE SAME

Hmmmm........

Anonymous said...

FC Stars Applied Clubs list seems very small for a tournament of that size and it hasn't been updated in a while. I think there are more applicants than that. If the published brackets are accurate, there will be good representation at U13.
Looks like 2 Premier brackets (8 teams?)
A Champion Bracket, and a League 1 Bracket.

Anonymous said...

Where is the link, you’re being a clown.

Anonymous said...

Who are you calling a clown?
The link to applied clubs is right on their home page. If you look at the get scores link on event page which hasn't been completed yet, you can see the brackets, don't know if they are official yet. Don't call me a clown because you don't know how to use the internet.

Yes, the internet is a wonderful thing, if used properly, and giving us info that everyone already knows, defeats the purpose of mention. You dig?

Anonymous said...

say hi to your mom for me

Anonymous said...

hello - red card/Jackson lover guy is back! I have been on vacation, back on blog. Crazy recently with PDA thing, I have to tell you that is very, very interesting to say the least for all age groups, so thanks for the informative stuff - as usual you have to make up own mind or facts need to be presented. The red card coach had good time at Maps Capps, Jackson got shoved around in lower bracket, but again just like that coach for playing with the better teams. NJSA and red card coach will go far I think, but loss in finals was not good for summer tourney. have to agree somewhat with U13 rankings listed earlier in blog.

Anonymous said...

The ranking landscape is going to change dramatically the first few months this year.

The high ranked ECNL/NPL teams will not be chasing the GotSoccer Points as much this year.

Teams that are ranked high now because of earlier big point events and teams that have nearly folded due to high turnover will drop down the point rankings quickly so by winter, you will have a very different GotSoccer rankings.

Anyone that wants to do a true State/Region rank will need to add some teams (at the top?) to have an accurate/comprehensive top 10.

I would hope they will split the teams from the same states up so teams can get games in with new competition.

MF (NJX) doesn't need to go to MA to play Ajax, NYSC doesn't need to go to MA to play EM Hotshotz, South Shore doesnt need to play against both the Breakers and Stars of Mass, etc. Split them up.

I know sometimes it isn't possible but it looks like a pretty good mix to work with. Hopefully they consider.

Anonymous said...

PA Guy, how do you see the brackets for the Spirit Tourney lining up?

Anonymous said...

For Spirit, I'm plagiarizing someone else's post, with just a few "regional tweaks".

Flight 1
6 Greater Binghamton FC 01 Select (NY)
35 1776 United Xtremes (PA)
54 Crew Juniors Gold West (OH)

18 Penn Fusion SA '01G ECNL (PA)
34 RAGE FC Premier Freedom (NJ)
57 FC Stars of Mass North United (MA)

19 NJ Wildcats Averbuch (NJ)
50 Harford FC United Thunder (MD)
60 Penn Legacy FC 01 Black (PA)

20 Players Development Academy Ajax (NJ)
21 CES Calvert CREW White (MD)
68 Ukrainian Nationals Blasters Black (PA)

And before anyone else says it, yes, I agree that Stars of Mass is a stronger Tournament. Spirit will be interesting because it puts PA's four best teams against some very good NJ teams (Ajax, Wildcats, and Rage).
