2:15 I think the Big Ten and their coaches are already aware of the violation and it's impact on recruiting. It's definitely an obvious recruiting advantage for Rutgers in the Big Ten Conference. I don't think you will see any more South Jersey or out of state residents who are high school studdents playing for Storm or other PDA Teams at U14 or above coached and/or trained by Rutgers Coaching Staff this fall.3:33 so if Rutgers is not a "Power" in NCAA Womens Soccer Nationally they don't have to abide by NCAA recruiting regulations? That's a new low in ignorance even for you!Not that it should matter, but wasn't Rutgers University a participant in the Womens NCAA Soccer Tournament this past fall? And a contender all seaason in the Big Ten Conference?
12:57 So how do you back up your comment saying the Big Ten coaches are already aware of the violation? It seems you are making statements that you do not know anything about. This blog is about the U13 girls and not Rutgers University.

8:40 You're damn right I won't!
You are single handily bringing down this blog. Stop putting down teams that are not your team. Nobody wants to hear it. You have an obsession with this club that is not healthy. If you don't play for them and don't want to play for them them stop with the attacks. And don't give me "they cheat" that is why I do it. Nobody cares except for you. If they do they will pay for it on the end. But it won't be because of your obsessive and annoying posts.
Final from Manalapan: EDP Cup semi-finals3 MATCHFIT ACADEMY BLACK2 NJCSA ELITEWay to battle the elements girls and finish the job.
Does anyone know why PDA North doesn't have to play Matchfit this spring? I can understand point wise in the standings it doesn't make a difference but if the rest of the teams in the division have to play 22 games, it should be the same wear and tear on their girls also. Is this a deal PDA has with the NPL Northeast so they can have the proper rest in preparation for the playoffs?
7:56 It also benefits their PDA club when they collude to break the rules and that affects all of us.If they don't want to hear it then stop doing it.
7:56 Maybe it IS a PDA parent. Maybe the parent wants the South Jersey girls off the ECNL Team so his daughter can have the roster spot or starting spot.If Rutgers/PDA gets into compliance with the NCAA Rules it will open a bunch of spots for PDA players from North Jersey.Have any of the South Jersey or out of state girls been told they will not be able to play for the PDA ECNL Teams next year? That will be a sure sign they have been pulled up or warned by the NCAA infractions.Let's face it they are not going to get in compliance after all these years of breaking the rules becuase it's the right thing to do.
It is odd, unless the schedule is wrong. I assume you are supposed to play each team 2X. For some reason MFA played PDA South 3X and PDA North played Penn Fusion 3X.
Maybe it's Rutgers University Administration that found out and that will put a stop to it.After all the last thing Rutgers Univ and the Rutgers Athletic Dept needs is another black eye after what they have been through with coaches and Athletic Dept Administrators over the last few years..
It's easy to see the last 5 posts are from the same crazy poster. Move on!
The 3rd time is the NPL playoff games on Jun 13/14.
I see nothig crazy about the PDA/Rutgers posts.Very infoirmative and disturbing.
If it is an issue it is an NCAA and Rutgers issue. Not a youth soccer issue. You are just obsessed with that club. My daughter doesn't even play there but it's annoying. Take the post to a college soccer blog if that is so important to you.
Some people are really obsessed with PDA. It's actually comical. I enjoy their paranoid rants.
@8:24- Happens every year. Somebodies kid didn't get a callback at tryouts or is getting cut.
8:24 and 10:26 -Keep trying to deflect the salient points being made.I guess it will work with the ones who want to beleive anything you tell them. The truth is out their for those who can still open their eyes a wee bit.In the end it will be their own arrogance that will bring them down.
10:30I am just curious, what are you trying to accomplish ?Is your beef with the coaches or the PDA organization. Now that the truth is out there, do you think the Coaches will be asked to step aside? Are you worried about Rutgers having an unfair advantage? How really does this affect the PDA organization?Every one knows now-so what to you want to happen?Soccer Nut
10:30 you really think the NCAA is that stupid, you ever think there could be more to the story? Talk about arrogance.10:26 I think, I agree with you. Many scenarios can fit these types of post. But I think it's just one jealousy.
Soccer Nut- Don't get sucked into their paranoia. 10:30- Paranoid Dysfunctional Adult (PDA) thats your new name. Why don't you write a letter to the NCAA and reveal all of these violations you are observing. Is this the Wildcat coach still seething from their 3 losses to PDA?
I'll bite. I don't know enough about a 50 mile rule or who can or can't coach certain players, but I do know that rostering over 18 kids and having kids not dress for games is a bad idea. I don't care if its PDA, MF, or whoever. No disrespect to the 50 mile guys who feel PDA is cheating, but I don't want my issue to be blurred with other issues. I believe strongly that having kids sit in the stands on game day is wrong on several fronts. It can't be good for a players confidence level and it treads on the main reason kids are on a team, to play. This isn't the EPL. Can someone come on here and explain why its such a wonderful idea and why its better than being a viable player on a different team without being a dismissive, arrogant jackass. If its not a money grab and a way to keep good players away from other clubs then what is it? An ego trip for a parent? Mr. Nut, any thoughts.
11:02 this is a sign that our u13 kids are getting older. This was year 1, u14 will be year 2. You are missing the point - they do not want kids that will be sad watching games from the stands or parents that will be bitter. They want kids that will get mad that they are watching and will do something about it at the next practice. You can't teach this -either the kid has it or they don't. Go ahead call me what you want. The truth is every parent thinks their kid will be part of a rotation - the question is what do THEY do if they are not? If they pack it in - These clubs never wanted them to begin with and if they knew it up front would not have selected the kid.You have to be all in for this and that's what they are looking for. What's arrogant and disrespectful is calling parents that have kids that respond to this bad parents instead of going to another team where they would play more. You do best for your kid and leave the others alone.
You're making my point. You've bought into a bad concept and if seeing a kid get mad and pushing harder at practice is enough justification for you to have them sit out games, you are lost, sorry. Top players should be self motivated and use playing time on a team as incentive. That's been accomplished with 18 players forever. You don't need to be sitting in the stands for this to happen. What you are calling "all in" others call drinking the koolaid. I'm not saying this to be disrespectful but I would wager any amount that you never played soccer at a competitive level.
It actually wouldnt be so bad if Player A, who sat the last game, got 40-60 minutes when rosteredSomehow I dont think this is the case.
11:28 Just for the record you would lose some money.

There is a very good reason for the rules that are in place.College coaches are not allowed to intereact by phone(until junior year) or in person(until senior year) with players who are in high school, in addition they are not allowed to train or coach them at all during their high school years if they live more than 50 miles from the college where they coach. Clearly noT abiding by these NCAA Rules puts both the college coaches, their schools program and the club at a recruiting advantage in many ways.
HIGH SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!Most of the kids are still in Middle School - Scram
Nice set of competition for both Regionals and NPL finals. Will be interesting to see how the draws come out that will be crucial to advancing.
If I'm not mistaking, Wildcats coaches daughter coaches at Louisville and occasionally train team in Long Banch, I could be wrong with that?
Yes, wrong, never worked with high school players, only U13 Teamss/players or younger.Nice try though.Always convenient to attack Wildcats.
11:02There are so many ways to handle an 18 player roster and create an environment for other kids who are on the second team to compete. You do not have to put 22-26 players on a roster and demand player number 19-26 to compete for a game day spot.19-26 could easily be the nucleus for a avery strong second team that could play every day and compete against the first team in scrimmages. it is the best way to create competition amongst the players and move players up and down periodically depending on the merit of the child's play. This recent phenomenon of bloated roasters has its genesis in revenue creation. It also serves another important purpose that is frequently overlooked.A good player that accepts her role as a reserve because of the brand of the club helps to keep that player from another club thereby weakening another clubs position in building a team.Parents must always remember that an evaluation by one coach for a majority of good players is nothing more than an opinion and a good solid player that is reserve for one team may flourish under another system or coach. The collection of players by one club, with a strong brand to hold the family, assures that their competitor may not acquire that player.Although money is the driving force for these expanded rosters (it is certainly not for development reason) the secondary affect is keeping a good player from their competitor. Some parents buy into this system knowing full well that this may existSome parents stay because their child has developed irelationships through out the yearsAnd some parents buy into the bloated roster philosophy thinking that the exposure of sitting for a certain club has more benefits than playing for another club.As this is my second time around, I feel i have enough experience , to navigate through the BS and make a decent decision for my youngest. To those that buy into the bloated roster philosophy for competition purposes, you have to ask yourself Why doesn't the boys academy system follow the same model?Answer: Because there is no money to be made -Only money to be lost, since the club pays for the players and therefore there is no incentive to do so.The competition argument all of a sudden goes right out the window.Soccer Nut
and on a lighter note, found this on Youtube, and its hilarious, good luck soccer Dad!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dA2tcoGmFgQ
Hilarious! Great video. WWF worthy!
1:31 Great post Soccer Nut.As usual you are right on point.
Good to see CRUSH back in NJ top 5
Soocer Nut, I like your post. But MF and PDA do have 2nd teams (and in the case of PDA 3rd team) that are considered to be the best Non-ECNL teams in NJ. So they not only have talented players sitting on their ECNL teams, they have talented players playing on their other teams. And all have a chance to move up or down each year.
3:30 WOW - MF and PDA have to very good teams playing in ECNL and probably #1 & #2 in NJ as far as Non-ECNL teams, throw in a very strong South team for PDA and 2 up and coming teams for both clubs in black North and Shore. You can see why NJ gets mad outside of a few teams like STA, NJ Wildcats & NJ Crush there is a big drop off.SO you can see teams like STA, NJ Wildcats & NJ Crush talking bad about roster size or throwing in how far you have to live from the club to play for the club as scare tactics to try and recruit from their player pool. No other reason to post any of that stuff it that's not the case.
3:30Do you really believe that "ALL" will have a chance to move up.For most, by u13 ,The pecking order for a particular team has already been well established by the coach. As this is a pivotal year for most u13 teams, your daughter has already been looked at and evaluated, so they should have a pretty good idea where they stand with the club.In days past the bottom 4 or 5 on the top team are interchangeable with the top 3 of the second team at a high level club. Usually these are the players that are interchangeable depending on the coaches need.Playing on the second team for one of these clubs is an excellent way to move forward as long as the coaching is excellent. But you should be playing on the second team and playing often!Ideally the numbers on the second team should be no more than 16 but too often you'll find bloated rosters on the second team as well.Soccer Nut
9:05I don't think I was as clear in my last post as I should have been. Of course there are players that can develop and surpass other players, My post refers mainly to the here and now at the u13 level. It refers to a snap shot of today,The post intent was to mainly highlight that the girls have to play and being asked up to the top team is reserved for a few BuT Is Sold To ALL .Club teams at these ECNL clubs can be quite formidable.Soccer Nut
Come on Soccer Nut - of course it's sold to all - if the kid didn't think they could be on ENL team they would go to MF and PDA.
Maybe you should have your coffee first, then post.I dont see what you folks are quibbling overPlayers/parents make the choice to play where they will, then reassess, if necessary, after the season (if they dont take the not so honorable way out and leave midseason)The cool thing is that going into each September the kids can be optimistic about either continuing in a club they feel is right for them or getting a fresh start with a new group. Its up to the parents to keep the optimism going DURING the season (read: keep your child out of the drama), no matter what is occurring and what you feel is not being done right for your child.
Which regional is going to be strongest?
2:32 Does it matter what someone else says which regional is going to be the strongest. Obviously everyone will have their own opinion and who really cares. Just enjoy watching your daughter play soccer!!
Chill, just trying to get some conversation going about regionals. Not everything has to be negative.
But the conversation always winds up the same way. Once somebody voices an opinion they get blasted for it. I will ask you again, why do you care what other people say about which is the strongest regional? Is your daughter playing there? If yes, just enjoy. Not trying to be harsh but your question can only start trouble on here.
It looks like EDP NPL will lose another Club. Last year it was MSC & NYSC, this year it's NJ Stallions. I think 8/22 is too early for a soccer tournament, sorry. Most girls are still enjoying the last days of summer before returning and beginning the long and grueling training protocols. Let them enjoy their youth, plenty of time for soccer, they are young only once!
Why do people like you always post that? "let them enjoy" What makes you think they are not? Because we are on here BSing? This board has nothing to do with the kids. This board is for a bunch of yahoos like me to BS about stuff you can't talk to your kid about.

Does anyone know if it is a definite they will be moving to calendar year next fall.
1:19 Why would you ask? Didn't your kid go through the tryout process? I am sure that information would have been made available to you already.PS. the birth year move would be for DA only and NPLs most likely.
Yes we went through tryouts and have been through sessions prior deciding but PDA and Matchfit did not mention any of this. She is only playing NPL.
I don't think we will see it until the USSF names ECNL or creates an official DA
I can't say for sure, but I asked and was confirmed by a very senior Pda coach. He says its happening, I still can't believe they would do this.

Can't make a list that looks ahead any more. Most teams will be different this fall. List should be top 10 after the spring. No new top 10 list could be accurate because no one on this blog knows all of the player movement. Happens every year.
My list based on the Spring season. I even have my daughters team lower than others have put them. I think it represents the season these teams have had. 5:05 what do you think about the comments based about how Germany is loaded with young talents and we have ONE college player that cracked our roster.Germans have 10 girls 23 or younger on roster and maybe the best F in the world (Sasic)We have Brian and Johnston - for a country so big that is so sad.
6:45 I agree. US needs to make those adjusts seeking younger talent now. Germany has made the right moves.

Did anyone attend the Region 1 ODP tournament this weekend? Was curious on the level of play you saw and is it still worth doing in NJ if your not with PDA or MF?
Region 1 was good, aside from the grass being ridiculously high for a tournament. NJ should be embarrassed hosting an event in those conditions. No offense NJ, I'm not being snarky, to drive and get hotels to play on uncut fields was kind of a drag. I don't think anyone will disagree.
Younger = better, 7:27?Relax. This veteran group deserves to compete for this title. Then you will see a little more youthful infusion.Press is 26, O'Hara is 26, Morgan is 25, LeRoux is 25, Klingenberg is 26, Engen is 27, Heath is 27, Holiday is 27Not exactly old maids, in addition to the 2 you mentionedSolo decision is another story. That reeked.
This US team is old and slow, and that will be painfully obvious on the turf. Hoping for the best, but worried.
New York Cup Final on Saturday, EM Hotshotz vs. NYSC, any predictions??
10:45 I'm okay with a slow pace of play. i feel sometimes we force kids to play this frantic super fast high pressure game to speed up development and the thinking required to play. Sometimes I wish they would just slow it down and play the game. I get the lets take the big/strong, fast kid that will run to a wall mentality and teach them how to play. I just think sometimes we like to have this ceiling in place for what ever the reason.Good luck girls, bring home a World Cup - because we all know this is the one that matters not the Olympics.
My daughter did regional tourney also. She enjoyed it but said the fields were poor and that the competition was uneven.

2:02 like your rankings. PDA shore is good, again looking at top 10, NJCSA will fold this spring, moving to wild cats, so the team will not even exist apparently, but good source. BOCA played in the state cup they thought would be best for them at time of registration, I am sure, again good source, that this whole team, coaches, parents, players, never expected to win state cup and go to regional, and also be gs ranking of 7. Otherwise you have the normal pda, mf and sta, wildcats. pda shore and boca have work to do, Medford is good, they have a great goalie. jps not so sure about, SJEB lost to boca 2-0NJ Rush needs work along with JPS and TSF. tsf did not fair well at all at edp cup along with sjeb, they did not play in top bracket at edp cup, BOCA was only NJ team in top bracket at edp cup. why, I have no idea.

Due to the lack of talent played in some of the EDP NPL leagues, it is not much to say you got to Indiana. Winning it is the only way you can say it really means anything.....
7:53 There is only ONE EDP NPL league. EDP has it's stand alone pyramid that includes D1/D2/MAPS which for some reason they treat better than the NPL (I say this because the NPL League page looks like someone forgot about it - they still list clubs that are no longer in the league, at last the scores have been updated)Regardless of the talent - Winning it and going to a National Event is worth it's wait in gold for a 13 year old girl to experience something that over 90% of the kids playing soccer WILL NEVER EXPERIENCE. So if it makes you feel better to down play the accomplishment go for it. Winning a birth to a National Event will always be given love by me on this board regardless of what some posters think about the level of play. So who ever wins this league GOOD LUCK in INDIANA.Let's not forget Mr stats guy who posts that many kids will not be playing soccer in a few years and will have all their summers to enjoy - this is U13 so for the teams still fighting for a spot to play at a National Event, this may be there only shot to experience this and for the ones that have clinched a spot (STA) congrats!!! Let'snot forget ECNL and US Soccer say playing meaningful games are part of development, I don't think you can get more meaningful that playing games to qualify for a National Event.EDP does need to step up and treat the NPL league with a little love to stop losing clubs. They have lost MSC, NYSC, NJ Stallions, MF & PSA in the last 2 years.
weight.Geez, I should have not cut English
Very mediocre teams?Ask the ECNL Teams like FC Virginia(FC Delco) and Boston Breakers(Needham Tournament) how mediocre NEFC has been this spring. 8:12- Strongly disagree. It's just another tournamnet, the only difference is the $60 t-shirts will say "National" on them.My daughter loves soccer but she would much rather sleep till 10 and go to the beach club in July. I think its crucial the kids get a break from soccer. Fall, winter/Futsal then Spring is a lot of soccer.Let them be kids for a month.
soccer players would rather be competing
Again. Just getting there does not really mean much at all when you have to beat one decent club to win your league. Not attacking. Just telling the truth. Are you going to argue that some teams do not have it way easier than others??? Of course it will be fun for the girls but keep it in perspective. Many teams have a cake walk to this event.
10:51 so why hold that against them? They don't control the league (how it's run),the clubs that join the league (how it's run) and the teams they play. All they can do is dress and play, sometimes they win by a lot, sometimes by a little sometimes they don't win. But I'm sure they play to win regardless of who they are playing.
PA Classics, who were said to be moving to EDP, are listed for fall for PAGS. PL, Ukrainians and 1776 are not listed.
Nothing against the kids..... Have fun. It is simply educating the crazy parents who pump it up to be more than it is.

No one is pumping up anything. It is what it is a National Championship where 19 member leagues send their champions to compete for a title. To judge it based on just one league sounds a little crazy. For the kids that play in one of these league they can compete to try and participate in something most kids (90+ %) will never see. They can watch the world cup and dream about playing for NT - but this is an opportunity for them to taste what that might feel like.I get it - you hate travel and your kid likes to tan (so does mine) but she loves playing soccer and dreaming. So I can never and will never poo poo any National Event. PS. I am the same poster that posted the Super Y post ins December and also give a shout out to the President's cup. S
My daughter and her teammates are really looking forward to the chance to compete in Indiana.. me, not so much.
Keep telling yourself that 1:32. You obviously never played. My kid IS going and I do think it is a bit laughable. Now if they WIN the entire thing, different story. My point is the path some took to qualify is a complete joke. MINE included.
Delco top two flights are more of an accomplishment in my eyes..... Just because you put "national" on this does not make it better......

1:40 Not ture.In fact I can tell you from previous expereince that attending Nationals will be a memory they will cherish for the rest of their soccer career and beyond.I suggest you try and enjoy it with your daughter as there is no certainty that she will ever get there again.
2:28 Spot on.As of right now - STA is in.NJ Wildcats are 1 win away - TSF/NJCSA Elite/Alleycats are at least 2 wins awayMF NPL/PDA Ajax/PDA Dragons/PF NPL are 2 wins awayNEFC/Oakwood/Seacoast/GPS MA are 2 wins awayPWSI/FC Virginia are 1 win away.Of all these teams only 4 will qualify - there will be some tears and that will be sad, but those girls can take that with them and make sure they do their part the next time they are in that situation.
I guess that Champions League & EDP or whatever you call it wasn't enough. I'd love to have the Wildcat parents at my next garage sale got bunch of stuff I'm looking to sell!
3:06 Maybe they will send you a postcard from Regionals or NPL Nationals if they qualify after playoff game. Actually it doesn't sound like you and your daughter are really going to NPL nationals.Seems you just have an issue with Wildcats and STA going.
I agree 3:16 - STA is going to Indiana - NPL finalsNJ Wildcats going to West Virgina - region1 championships as NJ NCS ChampsMF NPL going to Indiana - US Club national event as NJ Cup ChampsCongrats girls and good luck
NJ NCS Champs of what?
3:06 and 3:58 Stop the foolishness. If your team was going you would be posting what an honor to represent your state at Regionals and NPL Nationals and what a great experience for your daughter and her teammates and for their families to share with them, and rightly so.Also qualifying for the post season is what the regular season determines.Once your team gets there, it is a clean start for every team in the postseason, and we have all seen teams that were not among the favorites going in get hot in the post season and make a deep run. Point is you hae to be in it to win it.I guess according to your logic state champoions from less populated states who rarely send teams strong enough to advance or win at these events should not even bother to attend?I think you are clueless about what youth sports are about Mr. Bitter.
June 9,11:50 amFC Bucks North Shockers... ECNL expansion has begun in PA. It's only matter of time until we have a PDA PAE!
I'll take quality & variety over quantity & monotony anytime when it comes to my daughter's soccer.
It'll be interesting to hear how the FCV United /PWSI game for the NPL berth plays out. PWSI lost several top players to BRYC and the FCV United players are discouraged because no one at that team were good enough at tryouts to make FCV's ECNL team
VA guy, thanks for the info. The FCV players should never be discouraged. They are 13, in the Fall starts a new season, if u14 isn't the season maybe u15 will be. Some players are late bloomers and others are at the appropriate level
This is great we have NY, NJ, PA & VA represented on this board now.My Top 5sECNL1. FCV2. EM3. PDA Storm4. Boston 5. MF ECNLNJ1. MF NPL2. PDA Dragons3. NJ wildcats4. STA5. PDA AjaxNY1. NYSC2. 9:44NJ Crush are 4th in NJ right now
11:09 I agree GS has them as 4th and soon they will be 3rd. Once NYCSL NPL adds Spring GS points, Boca will move up to 4th. PDA Dragons and the other NE Girls NPL teams will be at a disadvantage when their league is manually entered a few teams Like PDA North and South and CFC will have new team accounts created and their GS points will not be used to calculate the flight based on previous leagues. My list did not include Crush as both STA and NJ Wildcats beat them this year PDA Dragons beat both STA and NJ Wildcats, PDA Ajax also beat NJ Wildcats and MF NPL beat them both .
With regards to the ecnl top 5 regional teams. This will be decided. This weekend at the pre ecnl regional championships taking place at world class. FCV. Is certainly in top 5 but would not call them number 1 until they play the othe teams.
11:31 I agree about the 4 playing. FCV beat Boston 3-1 Boston beat MF 4-3 and 6-1.EM beat Boston 3-2 and 2-0PDA beat Boston 3-2So FCV can be no worse than 3 in my opinion. I put them at #1 because of what they accomplished at all the majors they played at this season with a big bullseye on their back.
Wildcats can rest for a while on the SC title from OCTNot many impressive outings since.....2 wins v Calvert, one vs MD United and soft spots elsewhereAre they rising, falling or plateuing?
Sure I understand, but I would like all teams to have at least played each other once before proclaiming anyone number 1. But certainly , FCV is probably a top 3..I t would be nice to put these teams head to head to determine the King of u13. i would love to through NEFC in then as well.I have heard that this club will follow in the footsteps of tophat very shortly and be invited into the ECNL league.
I would love to see NEFC in there as well.
EDP needs to issue a new NPL press release. The NPL site is so outdated it's funny.if someone knows someone pass it along give them a hintthey look unorginized.http://www.nationalpremierleagues.com/easterndevleague/index_E.html*** No longer in leagueManhattan SC (NY)New York SC (NY)NJ Stallions Academy (NJ)*** New to league in 2014/2015 no listed???10. 11:16..... Why GS is not the correct tool anymore. PDA Dragons and MF NPL by far and away 1 and 2 non ECNL teams in NJ. Followed by STA, PDA Ajax and then Wildcats and Crush..... Be real. Not GS.
STA wins 5 of 10 times vs Dragons with 3 ties
NEFC is very good at this age group, in no set order:NEFCPDA ECNLMF ECNLEMFCVJust my opinion.
2:54 so you are saying the next 9 times Dragons play STA they will Tie 3 Lose 5 and win only once since they have 1 in the books already. I'm guessing STA dominated the game at PDA tournament for you to make that kind of a comment and the dragons just got lucky.DRAGONS vs GS ranked teams top 100.3:2 vs #7 STA1:0 vs #15 NJ Wildcats0:1 vs #20 WC Charlton2:1 vs #28 CFC West Orange3:5 vs #53 Grand Rapids0:1 vs #59 MF NPL0:0 vs #59 MF NPL0:0 vs #59 MF NPL1:0 vs #69 PDA Ajax0:0 vs #69 PDA AjaxNot saying GS is the smack - just used it to get a population of teams.W4, L3, T3, GF10, GA10 - looks like a solid team.I think you give STA to much cred or you think of the Dragons as the Dragons of yesterday or you have a bias.
STA lost to NYSC that weekend as well.Yes. They win 4 of the remaining 8 and tie 3 times.
Good luck defending at Parsippany Pride.
But you are rightI will amend - to 4-2-4 rather than 5-2-3
Speaking of NYSC, does anyone think they have a chance against EM Hotshotz????

5:40 I guess FC Stars did as well? We all know CT opted out. After Boston, FC Stars and CT came WC.4:35 EM by 2I think it must burn some of the posters that "b" are mentioned as being the best teams in NJ outside of ECNL.NJ Wildcats beat STA twice and Dragons beat both STA and Wildcats. Those are just facts, no opinions. MF NPL trumps Dragons as they beat them and tied them twice. Both MF NPL and Dragons beat Ajax. So even though Ajax beat Wildcats,Wildcats beat STA who beat Ajax. These are the NJ top 5, you may not like my order and that's cool. We can also measure how these teams do at the NPL Finals as 3 of the 5 will probably make it.1. MF NPL2. PDA North (aka Dragons)3. NJ Wildcats4. STA5. PDA South (aka Ajax)
Taking my top 5 and removing league points and then taking an average to compare apples to apples via GS the top 5 look like this.2169 PDA Dragons (6 tournaments)1880 MF NPL (4 tournaments)1021 STA (11 Tournaments)1008 PDA Ajax (7 tournaments)1002 NJ Wildcats (7 tournaments)
Thanks 8:00, it's 4:35, and I appreciate your participation, should be a good game!
8:11 no doubt two very good teams. Love the way both play. Good luck
Was Lehigh Valley part of the EDP NPL? Because if they were, they're not even listed in the (finally) updated standings on the NPL site (Link). I could swear they were in the South division. In fact, in their individual team schedule (Link) they have games against the rest of the teams in that division, and those games are designated as "NPL South". I'm confused.
8:37, thanks, the girls will do their best, it will be a great way to end our u13 campaign, with hopefully holding the NY Cup.
It will be interesting next year. If what is posted on the blog many MF NPL players going to the ECNL team. And there has been mention of at least 1 STA girl going to Storm. Haven't seen any posts about Dragon or Wildcat player movement.
Dragon movement as well. Some will go to Storm and or maybe do a bit of both. Honestly, Wildcats have no movement for a reason....... Where would any fit in within the top programs? Like we have said from the beginning. This is why being with a top "club' pays off.... Whether you like it or not.
10:39I think you mean skillful trainer that does not shortcut the process
Shorten the process to falling behind? Then yes.
As the girls get older and everybody matures it will come down to better coaching.Long speeches and first to the ball rah rah won't win games at older ages.
what a shame for that Dragon team if it loses integral pieces. They were looking really good.
10:56 What are you saying? I have been reading on here that the Dragons are a deep team. Are you saying they are not and a few girls carried this team?
Remember folks, when it comes to youth soccer training quality trumps quantity & variety trumps monotony. This spring we started to see teams drop & others rise. This will only be magnified more at u14.
Has anyone seen the PDA,oh I mean,Nike commercial during the World Cup? How did they pull that off?
I dont think any Dragons players will be with StormStorm takes from outsideThen they take from the U12 when necessary
Top 2 Dragons players were taken by Storm at recent tryouts to replace Storm players who left team. Also Dragons Coach who facilitated their rise over the past year taken off Dragons and put in charge of an older ECNL PDA Team.
ATLETICO F.C.Affiliated club member of (ISA)ISA—ATLETICO teams will participate in NPLNYCSL adding some quality teams to league.
That team was in the league already
That is excellent for the Dragon Girls. They have taken 3 girls from the dragons from what I understand. And a couple from the south team.Isn't that what we all want when our daughters are playing on the club team.Good for PDA and Good for them.My understanding is that Matchfit has done this as well.!
PDA has taken 4 girls from outside, with additions that mentioned aboveMF only promoted from within, all new players add to NPL.MF seems to have girls earn their stripes before being moved up
I wasn't saying Dragons aren't deep, but the team looked good, even deep teams can be impacted when a few girls leave.
4 girls from outside?? Doubt it.
I think he means 3 from Dragons and 1 from STA
I wouldn't consider coming from Dragons or South 'outside'. Same club.
Storm substantially stronger now, very well positioned for success in coming years.
3:15 So are you saying they are not replacing those players? Looking at this team they scored 65 goals that was the most in the NPL flight but only 5 against the Top 3 (MF, South and CFC) in 5 games. You canlook at this in many ways.I am just curious if any Storm players are moving down? i doubt they added 4 girls to the 25 they had.
How many girls did your club add to its A team from its b team.My guess is not many if any?It appears match fit and PDA have you beat in that department as well,
Huh 358? Who are you referring to?
I would like to change my EM by 2 goal prediction to a much closer game if not an upset. EM will have 9:30 Game at WC not sure how far a ride that is from the island, so it sounds like an early wake up for EM finish the game around 11 drive back to the island to play a fresh NYSC at 2:30.WOW if NYSC jumps on them early they might have the upset victory and a trip to Indiana to join the NJ Cup champions MF NPL. All these big games this weekend with trips to regionals and nationals on the line. Good luck to all the girls playing this weekend for the PRIZE win or lose it was a great season.
5 players from Storm chose not to come back forn tryouts.Players were pulled up from Drgons and outside to replace them.don't beleive the new players are stronger than those who chose to leave. Also big girl who came over from Rage has already been told she is not allowed to play with storm at U14 becuase she will be in high school next fall.
Thanks 8:11, we have had an up and down season, but winning NY Cup 2 years in row would be special.
Why would anyone choose not to come back to Storm?
Who knows but 5 just did.Maybe it's not all it's cracked up to be there.
I wouldn't believe 5 kids not coming back to storm unless they were cut.
Here is the link to the Nike video that shows PDA, this played during halftime of the first USWNT game and will play again tonight... Great job PDAhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVXkkZp_jBQ
Great Job!!tell me again why it's a bad thing to play for PDA?? This brand is known from NJ to CA, can't say that for many.
7:07 Wrong! A good part of that team was very unhappy. That's why they left.
Where are the storm girls who are leaving going. I honestly want to know. No ulterior motives.
PDA loses 5 players.MF ECNL will be mix of Jefferson NJX and TR girls.Makes for an interesting fall season.
It's true. I also heard it from 2 different Storm parents that 5 players who were on the team this spring did not try out for U14 Team.
Cut storm girls are now Dragons
So are you saying 5 girls left then a few girls were demoted plus some South girls not being taken? So my guess is that the roster is now 18 or lower?
choosing to leave and being cut are two completely different things.NO way PDA will cut players if it means $.Stop trying to sweep it under the rug that these players LEFT!what is PDA hidingI find it amusing that PDA has been chirping all year about how there is no where else to be but with them and the ECNL Looks like the koolaid has been diluted.Players and parents are wising up.
That is a great Nike Commercial. Thanks for posting. Cool for those PDA kids.
PDA paid for that commercial using club dues LOLEven the commercial is not keeping players at PDAtypical PDA "selling" there club
Have to admit, that is a pretty cool commercial & terrific exposure for the PDA brand.
How does PDA get that? They are the #1 girls program in the country and a strong Nike Partner. It also helps that they have two alumni on the team the commercial is for. My kid is not there, but I know a lot of people in that program and I have a lot of respect for them.
Great commercial. But those 5 players were not cut. They were very unhappy with how team was being run and left without even trying out for next falls U14 ECNL Team.Maybe there were also a few cut but those would be in addition to the 5 who chose to leave over the last 2 months.
