U15 final is incorrect. PDA south lost to Connecticut 2-0.
Wow is PDA crying? You got beat at your own game. Just accept you lost to a better club all around
fcv against pwsi yesterday was a great game. final score 2-1 to fcv but could easily have been 4-1: fcv have real strength in depth at the club and always try to play the right way.pwsi played hard but could not keep up. special mention to the soon to be ex-pwsi coach. this lady (I use the term loosely) told the fcv coach to p**s off and refused to shake hands at the end. For those sneering at the NPL nationals, I can tell you the fcv girls are so excited to be competing nationally and know they may never get this opportunity again and are going to enjoy every minute of it.
MFA was 19-10-4 against national ECNL comp this year. In the division I'd bet the numbers are similiar. That does not support you comments 6:13. Judging a Club off their B/C teams is an odd way to measure success.
It's not parents for the most part today. It's PDA and MF coaches attacking each other and crying foul.Talk about the Pot calling the Kettle black. Each side trying to claim the other is more crooked and underhanded.
Matchfit outplayed today. Loses in final.
The coach posts here are so transparent
LOL MFA and PDA coaches aren't posting. The wacky stuff I assume are parents who are emtotionally invested. I posted the stuff defending MFA, and I have a lot of respect for both clubs.
What is right won over what is wrong today. Please no more posts. Leave the girls alone.
What was the score?
Agreed matchfit lost to dragons. 3-0.
Dragons were due against this team and played very well. Well deserved.MF also out coached. Even Dragons parents had to be scratching their heads at where some of the MF girls were positioned by their "coaches" today. Again, hats off to Dragons. Good day for them.
Thanks for the VA update - it's cool to have PA updates and now VA - great stuff keep us in the loop.Congrats to FCV NPL and PDA North aka Dragons, I guess that leaves one spot up for grabs - anyone know when EDP game(s) will be played?
Always funny to hear an FCV parent criticize the sportsmanship of another team. Between the dirty play, whiny parents and arrogant players, they really don't have room to criticize anyone.
New NJ Top 3:1) PDA Storm2) PDA Dragons3) MF Pre ECNL
pretty amazing that at the end of u13, that the top teams in NJ and Northeast pre encl. league and northeast NPL league come from PDA. Well done PDA. well done
1. Jacksonville FC (FL)2. Baton Rouge SC (LA)3. Elite Girls Academy (NE)4. Arsenal (AZ)5. New England FC (MA)6. STA (NJ)7. PDA North '01 (NJ)8. Crossfire ECNL (WA)9. FC Portland Academy ECNL (OR)10. FC Alliance (TN)11. Oklahoma FC (OK)12. Eagles SC (CA)13. FC Virginia NPL (VA)1 spot remains.
The spot is reserved for the Northeast Pre-ecnl team if they want it.
If not, NYSC would be a fine 16th team, after discarding East Meadow (ECNL) in the NY State final.
3:28 Obviously you have not seen fcv play: I can tell you now the parents are very well behaved, the girls are confident and to be an elite athlete you have to have some degree of arrogance and they certainly do not play dirty. If you think the pwsi coaches behavior was acceptable and setting a good example to 13 year old kids then that says a lot.
We will smash them all, then we will smash them again, until there is nothing left, not even hope.
VA do you think PWSI hurt their chances by playing both RCL and NPL? They were in the driver's seat going into the Spring. They lost to RICHMOND STRIKERS SOCCER CLUB who they beat 5-1 in the fall, those 3 points would have given them the Spring and they would have avoided the 1 game playoff? I get why they did both.
First, Ajax parents (if in fact it was Ajax parents) quit the whining postsSecond, although what MF did was not against the rules, it was in poor taste. Having B/C team players have an opportunity to play up, is not the same as having A team ringers play in lower level, no matter what the stakes.Third, congratulations to the Dragons for making it all mean nothing. Good job all season and good luck in Indiana.
It's called Karma
I think pwsi are a team in transition. Their coach is done and they are losing 5 girls (3 to BRYC I think, including their best player). I believe that they fielded U12s against Richmond as they would never have lost with their first team. Also think it is a case of as the girls get older and more skillful just being physical and bigger than the other team is not enough when the other team does not let that style intimidate them.Sure R1CL didn't help as the bad weather meant a fixture pile up and very long journeys. But at the end of the day U13s are just that and will be inconsistent...FCV should really have won State Cup after beating BRYC but Beach put in an inspired performance to knock the girls out in the semis.Seeing the girls enjoy their soccer and grow as people, not just players, is the most rewarding aspect for me.
Karma Karma Karma Karma Karma ChameleonYou come and goYou come and go....
Wow...so many haters on here. Feel very sorry for you if you take U13 soccer so seriously.Very few girls will go on to be 'superstars' but having seen my daughter, and her teammates, grow in self-belief, confidence and overall life skills such as hard work: this is what will help them in life, not just some youth soccer. For those that seem to hate - I feel sorry for your kids. Trying to live your lives through them is not good for them (or you).
Match Fit is a punchline in the soccer community. An absolute disgrace what they tried doing this weekend. Love the Mr Magoo reference earlier. Spot on accurate. He's playing checkers while PDA is playing chess.
You people are whack jobs. Matchfit still very strong regardless of what happened this weekend. The pre ECNL team played without 3 of their top players and still took pda to pks. That's telling. The NPL team made it to the final and from hearing what transpired, had to adjust to their games and played well. I give those girls a lot of credit for playing at a high level week in and out. PDA had a great weekend it sounds like. Let's see what next year brings.
MF NE NPL has very strong defense I was very shocked though to see the aggressiveness coming from both the center backs and midfielders
9:20, how can you rationalize this weekend. Your club made a mockery of the sport and came up short everywhere.
MF steals NJX kids of opportunity to play for a National Championship. MF tried to steal it from PDA North, but they refused to let them. MF a classless club. Giving them access to ECNL is like putting lipstick on a pig.
It was unfortunate to hear the MF mothers on the sideline complaining that these 'new' girls haven't played with them all year and they come to this and play the whole game, taking time away from the kids who got the team in the position to play for the title.
8:48 - Calling Match Fit classless - is pretty classless itself.Unless you run a team, and know exactly what happened, and why it happened... And you do not, you should stop with your 10th post about the same thing. Apparently you have a problem with them, did your precious little girl not make their teams? Did they beat your team repeatedly? Stop already, you sound like you need therapy.
You say unfortunate, I say just desserts.
I feel bad for the NJX girls and parents. They were good enough to compete for the NPL championship and it was taken from them by MF. It would have been a better game with the "ringers".
without the ringers.
Hey 9:22, it isn't just one person bashing MF for what they pulled this weekend. It is the talk of the U13 soccer community. Everyone I talk to is talking about it. It is a black eye for MF that won't go away that easy. You made your bed now sleep in it. And btw, no one is putting down the team members or the players brought in. Not their fault.
Question:Will MF send ECNL players to Indiana for the National Cup event, to play with their MFNPL team??
Which players will MF send to Indiana if they brought in players this past weekend. Seems they do not believe their NJX girls could handle it. Such a shame MF!
MF as a club embarrassed themselves bringing those players down. NJX never lost to the Dragons until yesterday. I don't blame the players or parents I point the finger at MF. What you did to your NPL team is a classless act and you got burned for doing such a thing. It's not the NPL girls fault for the loss it's MF and the coaches you had all weekend. My daughter's team has played you 3 times and each time different coaches. This weekend you had your pre-ecnl coach and one of the player's father coaching your NPL team.
This was a great business opportunity for the club and the club played within the rules. The Pre- Ecnl regional championships were considered nothing more than glorified scrimmages so the club took an undermanned NPL team and added their 3 best players at this age group in hopes to bolster this NPL team to a possible National championship title.Although it certainly does not smell very good, it is still within the rules. These clubs are a business first and foremost and then they develop players within the context of their business. But business always comes first. It was calculated move that did not work out because on that day the PDA NPL team was better.I did not see the game but I surmise that on that day the PDA team won because of good coaching and player continuity.I think many people still hold that there should be some purity in competition and that these ECNL clubs should put the spirit of development and fair competition first and foremost. ( Which is a belief that should never change)This is where the outrage comes fromBut in the end, this is not the case because when you follow the money of business, and if it ever come in direct conflict with the purity of development and fairness- Money will always win. Every time.We should probably leave match fit alone as they are not the first club to do this and will not be the last ECNL club to do this- No ECNL club is above reproach on this mater. But parents everywhere should take note that an ECNL club is in the business of winning and branding for their club. They are not in the business of development and fair play. Soccer Nut
It's within the rules to substitute on every throw in when you're trying to kill the clock, but it's also bush league and any coach that plays that way should be embarrassed. It's cowardly and shows little confidence in your players. I'd say what MF did was even more cowardly, and should an equal amount of confidence in the girls they already had.
MF is a for profit business. NJX is run by a mom who needed MF so that she could keep hope alive. The NJX model and the MF model are neither consistent nor compatible. The gaps in each other's products (MF "acquired" the best team not named PDA while NJX sold nervous NJX parents on a "future") allowed each of them to get what they wanted. MF gets more players; better players and more fees. NJX gets another year. The top NJX players will come out whole. The remainders will be youth soccer road kill. Nothing new here.
NJX team notorious for stall tactics when nursing a a lead or draw.
10:34 Spot on sccer Nut.Just as with the oversized rosters it is all about the business with ECNL.That is why they should not become the DA.They are all about pay for play which is not what the DA will be about.
Soccer Nut brings up a great point re: guest players & impact to team continuity.
I'll bet 1 MF mother wasn't complaining as noted above that the guest MF girls played the entire game while the NJX/MF girls sat. She certainly couldn't be surprised either. Sell your team, players and program out and it comes back to bite your team, players and program. Just so long as your kid played, why should you care? Don't tell me your kid didn't play a lot either?
Nobody said its not legal. Nobody is blaming any of the MF kids. This just shows what kind of decision makers run Match Fit. If you on next years NPL teams you will be replaced by ECNL players in "big" games. To say that one person has an issue with it, you have your head buried in the sand. To be fair, I think the NJX parents were more furious than PDA. I think it actually motivated and fired up the PDA north team.
You guys are all crazy. Congrats to STA, Dragons, NEFC & FCV so far with the EDP team TBD.With 4 groups and 5 R1 teams going to Indiana - I am 2 of them will be playing each other in group stage. Wish Region1 made it easier to find the qualified teams - to much work. These are the only teams that are still playing with u13 rosters. I would imagine others have moved to their u14 rosters?Good luck all - MF forget all these posts - it was a good game - Dragons are a better team than people give them credit for. Curious to see their placement at the next major they apply for. F1?? F2?? F3??
some of you are just pure crazy. Would bet most of the posts are not from MF or PDA. The MF powers to be felt bringing the 3 players down would help. Turned out it did not work. Big deal. Life goes on. You win some and you lose some. Why lose your minds over this. And my kid is on the team. You really think this all matters at U13. You are all dopes if you do. This is a marathon at the top. All of the girls on both the MF and PDA ECNL teams will be scratching and clawing at each other to stay on those teams until U16. If you do, you will be committed to a school to play soccer period. So why lose it over this at this age? This team won the state cup and lost in the NPL finals against another good team. Where is the problem? Move on.....
You're crazy. 80% of the posts on this board are from MF and PDA and that includes coaches.
It matters to the 3 kids who didn't play in the game. Remember those 3?Funny too. Look at the MF NPL team roster that now has the other MF kis included. The MF kids shown that are from NJX only show their NPL affiliation while the other MF kids show NPL and ECNL. And yet it was the NJX team that beat that other team that moved into MF. Only in youth soccer do the players who win less and play less well get recognized and pushed up the ladder from the kids who won more and play better. NJX girls...you got duped and now dumped.
9 girls from that NJX team are on the ECNL team next year. Duped???? Good luck at your club as I guess they are offering more..... I highly doubt it.
So 9 players going to ECNL and the 3 best players from current ECNL and you got thumped by PDA's B team?
yeah, how good are these girls anyway. This team had very little technical skill. looked like 11 athletes on the pitch with very little skill. Dragons had more Skill
9 from the team that beat Dragons a few weeks back in state cup, never lost to them previously but lost to them yesterday. And 11 players from the team that tied PDA storm 0-0 on Saturday. Yes. Spin it all you want..... I am OK with this at my club. Good luck with your program.
First time this dominating technical team has ever scored a goal on this team. Relax people..... Gotta love the parents that never played the game. Keep over eating and cheering your kids on.... Poor kids gotta live out your life or they are most likely berated in the car ride home....
How does that humble pie taste in Long Branch these days? Still as good as it did few weeks ago?
02:38 Long Branch ????
Everyone knows where most of the bitter posts come from. Bitter on any and all but his team......
So sensitive 358. Need thick skin if you are going to read & post in here. Did the Champions League fiasco do all this to you or was it losing to PDA 3 times at u13 or going from "supposed" #1 in the country to barely a top 10 team in the state?
Lol... You can't blame the wildcats this time. MF coach all over this board.
There were only 2 MF ECNL players that played with the MF NPL/NJX team this weekend very confused on who the third player is that everyone is talking about
PDA North played NJX 4 times this year @ U130/0 Fall0/0 PDA tournament1/0 NJX wins state cup3/0 PDA North wins vs NJX and 3 ECNL Players (2 U15 National players)PDA North 1/1/2 +2 GDMF NPL/NJX 1/1/2 -2 GD PDA North the better team. NE NPL Champion PDA Storm 2 wins and 1 tie vs MF pre ECNL. Pre ECNL Champion
PDA- Yeah Baby! We are the best and have the greatest u13 teams ever. Get a grip clowns. You had a good season. This is why no one likes you. You are on here bragging and boasting about winning a u13 league. Damn adults acting like kids.
And all that at U13 wins you a........ That's right! Nothing! Good stuff but really???? All means nothing right now. Don't give me the feel good BS. It really means nothing..... Marathon first timer..... Did you expect NOT to be in that position? Top spot will either be PDA or MF each year from here until the end. Good luck to all.
If u13 means nothing why did Mf play their best two players on NPL team. One Word describes MF and it's not FRAUD it's JOKE of a club.
PDA gets slammed for what tournament they do and don't play. What leagues they play. What flights they are in. Think it's ok if they state the fact they won their leagues. I am sorry if that offends you. U13 does matter for the NPL Teams. U14 is when it matters for the pre Ecnl. Looks like Storm on the right track.
7:33 - Step up and say which upstanding club your daughter plays on. You don't have the stones to do it.... Yet you're trashing another club... your babbling reeks of jealousy
MF is the biggest joke in ECNl. Can you please enlighten us where u14 will train? Half kids in south other half in north. That's a joke all by itself . Probably only EcNL club without a facility. I'm sure in a few years you'll be where your boys academy is now. Relegated.
It is such a joke when your entire roster is committed to play in college as Sophomore's.... It really is. Here bitter bitter..... Lol!

11:21 It's all about winning at 13 years old in youth soccer?
Winning is the game and the only way you can measure teams. Teams will develop players to fit their system to win games. Doesn't mean the best players when it comes to soccer ability - just means the best players the team can use to win games. Should this happen at u13? Well if you play in a league that awards winning by advancing to Regional/National events then YES it's all about winning at u13. If you the league or tournament does advance anywhere and all you get is a 1st place medal - then winning doesn't mean a thing it's all about the showcase of the players and Good teams will win more times than not. But what do I know - I am just a poster on this block
An earlier post indicates 9 MF-NJX kids going to MF-ECNL next year. Is that confirmed? Ok then and assuming this is accurate...What happens to the other 6-7 NJX kids? Do they go to the Holmdel B team? Or do they get told that there will be games created for them to play in too with some of the ECNL players filling in the line up? Of the 9 who are going, how many rostered players will there be on the ECNL team? Is this a roster of 18, 24 or more with 18 getting jerseys on game day? Where will this ECNL team be training? Have the bottom of these 9 players been told directly that they are now going to the MF A team in the age group where their playing time might likely be limited and their roster spot constantly subject to change? There are only 5 MF-NJX players who have the physical requirements to compete in ECNL and only 3 of these who have position specific skills and technique capable of competing at this higher level. This might be a good option for those 3 assuming they have their eyes wide open. But the math and reality for the other 6 will not work so says history. Good luck to all of them.
11:21. You sound like a dope. You are the reason people on this board have an issue with PDA...and I am from PDA. How about a little humbleness instead of constant arrogance.
In 6 months the same parents hooting and hollering about what a great choice they made and now they are going to ECNL will have a rude awakening when reality hits and their child is often not dressing and playing only minor minutes. MF ECNL coach will have his hands full next year.Is MF keeping the current coach for next year?
7:19 Care to say which 'fraud' club your kid is on? Most of the parents have no problem sharing where their kid plays
No way 11:21 is from PDA. Has facts wrong. Someone looking to start trouble.
8:38Which fact is wrong?
Where is TSF vs SJEB NPL semifinal being played?
8:47, all of them.
GS just had some significant movement. Points are falling off. Surprising teams at the top.
League points need to be added. Then the rankings will change again.
7:39What is so difficult to understand?MF has an NPL team that will be joining New York Club Soccer LeagueSo the NJX players play for that team.Do some MF Black (the old Jaguars) also join them? I'd think so.How about the MF pre ECNL players that are not invited back to ECNL? Sure, them too.Do we at times see some ECNL players leak down and play some NPL? Count on it.
Congratulations to GFA U14 for being the new #1 GS-ranked team in the nation
GFA, wow, now that is a name not heard much at u13, what ever happened to u13 GFA? Did the departure of 1 player, crash their entire program? Even if that player is one of the best in NJ?
Best I can tell is staff was spreading itself thinTough to run two age groups on a state, let alone national level without the proper help
I didnt like them poaching players, frankly.
u14 board that boring??
"Leak down"????????????? What a fool. Pipes leak. Faucets leak. You can even take a leak. Anywhere there's a leak, not good.Face it. The preponderance of the NJX players are the victims of the "leak".
How Did NJCSA Elite get to playing Wildcats in Semi Finals??? I'm sure Daddy and Mommy Coaches are scrambling to get guest players for that game.

12:00 Yes, looking at their roster they are up to about 25 players.Adding players from Boca and NJX this week. Will hardly be able to recognize them as the team that played NPL League all season.I guess it will be the same deal as what MF did replacing the players who were on the team all year with ringers just added in the last 2 weeks for NPL Playoffs.
Wow I thought Boca was an up and coming team? So players left BOCA for NJCSA NPL? NJX has been rumored for some time.Still have NJ Wildcats as the favorites to meet TSF in the final nothing has changed since August 2014.Good luck to all the players -enjoy the ride - win or lose

So will MF be sending their vanguard to the National Cup?

I am more curious to see who PDA sends to Indiana to play with the dragons.. I wonder what would have transpired if match fit didn't juggle their line ups. The storm game was very close, in score anyway. Match fit npl plays better together without the superstars .Curious to see if pda can resist the temptation of taking along the rage girl, and their national player.
PDA is not Matchfit
PDA isn't Match Fit? Interesting..Why hasn't anyone brought up the fact the the "national team player" from PDA played in the game against Match Fit? You PDA people are hysterical. Kill MF but its ok for you
Troll Alert ^^^^^
I would say no. As reported on this board. The Ajax girls (South) were provided with an opportunity to play with the Pre-ECNL (Storm) team at times - when not needed either conflicts/out performed at practice they would play with their team South aka Ajax. Also reported on this board the North NPL team aka Dragons never used a field player from Storm and never had any of their field players play for storm during the season. It was also reported that a dragon Goalie was used by Storm a few times this year and since the games are the same time the Storm goalie would start for the North NPL team.Would PDA do it? Not sure I know the answer to that question, but If I had to guess on the reports made I would say Dragons go with what they have. from the sounds of it This team knows their place they are the NPL North team and that will never change - players might but the teams is what it is one of the PDA "B" teams. I would love for PDA to take this team and let them play the USYS channel in addition to NPL. Has any club ever had a ECNL Champ and a National League Champ in the same season?
3:56 you are spot on.
Hate to bring this up but did you all forget the Stragons, when you beat the Dragons the next time you play the stragons...come on man, they will bring the best they can. But good luck!!!
Is it known what team will be playing in regionals for a chance to advance to Indiana? It's been rumored from NJ that both STA teams will take a crack at it as well as PDA and MatchFit. But no team names have been released.
So.........What lineup do we wish to see tonight for USA?Wouldn't mind seeing Whitney Engen
Boca is playing in regionals. Not losing any players. Gaining some though. Nice weekend coming up. Good rivalries.
Stack that lineup baby.Heck they do it in high school, college and pros when championships are played.Wait. They don't? Never mind then.
Real teams don't stack!

8:47 Yes, they will join MF NPL (the new ECNL team) and NYSCWhy not - 2 attempts to win a national title - Nice resume builder for everybody the coach the kids. Not everyone can say they won a National title.Looking at the format - I feel bad for PDA Shore and BOCA they might be punching bags as GD will probably decide who plays in the final unless 4 of the 6 advance.
Why not?The airfare to Ind. is currently $698, that is more than London. The hotel will probably be $149 a night, for 4 nights that is $595, car rental will be $300, food $300-$400, accessories and incidentals $200. Keeping my sanity, priceless.
I think if Boca can get out of their bracket, they have a real chance to go to Indianana.PDA Storm is not going to INDY. They will probably use this tournament to integrate the players for next years ECNL league.Even if the win the whole thing, They will probably decline the invitation which gives the finalist the nod. STA has their chance to back up how good they are by not allowing PDA to get out of their bracket.I think this will be a good game to watch as STA will come out with something to prove.PDA will go about business as usual.
9:58 I think both Storm and STA will beat up PDA Shore and Boca, not sure how GPS will do against the two. Atletico is the wildcard. But I don't see anyone standing in the way of a Storm vs STA final.PDA Storm will go to Indiana -what better way tostart your u14 ECNL campaign than with a National Cup title. There is no way they let Dragons (the B team) play for a national title why they sit at home when they had a chance not good for business.I don't think they integrate anyone this is still u13 soccer and with Ajax eliminated - The South players will be back.
PS. Nationals titles mean something just ask PDA Spash? at u14 this team did not qualify for Seattle so they are playing to go to Indiana, same as Storm.
If I'm reading the rules right, the top 2 teams advance to play for the championship, regardless of the bracket.
10:27I thought storm qualified for INDY by winning the pre encl. bracket. if they were going to go, they would go from that league.
winning the pre-ecnl bracket gets you nothing but bragging rights.
in correct 1;03.. Its there spot if the want it
The NE Girls NPL playoffs included U-13 through U-17 teams, including the U-13 pre-ECNL division. Teams in that division competed for a league championship but were unable to advance to the NPL Finals. This would explain why they are playing in the National Cup XIV Mid-Atlantic Regional. But of course 1:32 is with the "in" crowd.

After I posted the above I noticed the winner of PL vs NJ Wildcats will earn a spot in the National League if they both win their group and SS and GB win the other 2. If NJ Wildcats earn that spot they can talk some real smack. Playing in the USYSA National League and EDP NPL.PL you guys are looking good as well.Good Luck to All - this is the first summer that matters for this age group and it's lots of fun following.
"This would explain why they are playing in the National Cup XIV Mid-Atlantic Regional"Only reason they are playing is because the tourney happens to be at their facility.Only thing this encl. team cares about is the pursuit of an ECNL championship.which is not going to be easy
3:09 so you are the coach? or on the staff? to make that statement. So why enter a tournament that advances to a national event? Sounds like you are setting up an out should they fail.Let the chips fall where they do, if they win and go great, if they win and don't then that's great as well. Just don't post they don't care about this and all they care about is that. Their ECNL chase is going to be great. They have MF, WC, PF, Bucks and Delco in their division plus they play the other division Boston, Stars, CFC, EM, Albertson and FSA who always gives this team a headache. This fall everybody plays for keeps and everybody cares about winning. Should be a great season with tons of great games plus San Diego? YES I AM JEALOUS.Good luck to all.
3:34They want to win, they just don't want to go. So there will be no excuses.
I agree with 10:18, storm and sta seem to be the front runners and are fortunate they don't playback each other in the prelims. Don't know anything about gps so I guess they can offer a surprise. Atletico recently beat Boca 5-1 at edp cup and faced off against both Storm and STA at Columbus Day edp cup, losing 2-1 to Storm and winning 1-0 against STA.
NJCSA Vs Wildcats UPDATE: 1st half over 0-0 NJCSA giving Wildcats a run for there money. Wildcats coach about to have heart attack.
Thanks 7:38 for the update
2 NJ WILDCATS AVERBUCH0 NJCSA13GAs predicted TSF vs NJ Wildcats for a trip to Indiana
7:38 get a life. What are you covering the game for ESPN?
7:38 Started cleebrating a bit too soon.Elite hung tough for a half and was outplayed in 2nd half.
Are the wildcats really bragging about a 2-0 win against Manalapan??That is hysterical.
The team that showed up was not all from the Manalapan Team. They ahd players from other clubs whose teams are not NPL playing today.A much stronger group than the team they usually play with.Recognized left footed player from Boca among others.
Region 1 Championship list looks weak. 4 decent teams maybe? What a joke.
That sounds like Boca coaches kid.Did Boca team fold?
BOCA playing this weekend and then in regionals. No, they did not fold. Their girls routinely play for other teams when asked so it's possible some played for Elite last night.
My guess is these teams will be playing all summer in preparation for the fall. If you are a GS guy these summer tournaments will be worth more and more. Don't look now but NJCSA is #3 in NJ in GS points. God Bless EDP!
US Club allows teams to stack their teams for NPL playoffs and a shot at NPL Nationals by having players who are on teams that are not in NPL clubs drop players and the NPL club adds them for playoffs and nationals. It's pretty much the same as when some teams add strong guests for a tough tournament bracket. You can easily see what they did as the 25 rostered players for NPL playoffs were listed on their gotsoccer roster online yesterday, including players from other teams.Nothing illegal about what they did.
NJCSA Galaxy good Job! #3 in the NJ
Want a good laugh, check out the updated GS point rankings:1- Wildcats (#2 in Region & #4 in Country)2- STA (#10 in Region & #21 in Country)3- NJCSA Galaxy (#14 in Region & #39 in Country) 4- BOCA 5- NJ Crush6- PDA Storm7- MF NPL8- JPF9- PDA Ajax10- NJ Rush
Go wildcats-Now number #2 in the region. i can't wait for all those marketing materials. Perhaps another video.
Can't wait for TSF to destroy Wildcats. Go TSF!!!
This is a post on my top ten for NJ that I posted last week. I think it is still accurate. Compare this with the GS standings. 1- PDA Storm2- MF ECNL3- MF NPL4- PDA Dragons5- STA6- PDA Ajax7- Wildcast8 TSF9. Crush10. NJCSA
We all know GS is a joke & about as meaningless to rest of us as ties & losses are to the Wildcats.
I would flip match npl with dragons. Matchnpl just lost big time in a game for all the marbles. Match even tried to beat them with ecnl players.
11:51: I watched that game and based on that head to head match agree 100% it was a good example of as our girls get older size and speed isn't always the deciding factor. In this specific match up the more technical, and tactical, team won.
These teams "NJCSA Elite" should realize why try to Win with a guest player. Develop your own girls and put them in a bracket they deserve to be. To Daddy and Mommy coach is not all about wins. NJCSA should really think about who they allow to represent there organization.
boca is not breaking up they are going to regionals and gained two more ringers for summer/fall. Not a single player is leaving, by the by. GS rankings is funky, however one thing I have learned, is that to be in the top, you have to win, in high brackets. So if you win in 4th bracket this weekend you may get a few hundred points, however if you win in top you get several thousand. Also boca points came from state cup, league play and couple tournaments, but the top ten is all pda, wildcats, mf, sta, NJCSA, Rush, Crush I am not sure what teams you would expect in top 10? Toms River? Brick? LMSA? The rankings are very accurate, just not perfect. @11:22
well Boca, you do really that if you play PDA in the tourney, there is a good chance they may be playing keep away with your team.
Bocca is a very nice team. Don't worry about being attacked on this site. they only attack the teams that might actually be a better option to what they have been sold. Good luck
Agreed on boca, tough gritty girls, and yes coaches daughter is an ace, but they also have great coaches, 2 of them. They just care. Back to this weekend if we can, any real predictions? I dont know much about the out of state teams?

@2:55. Agreed. Boca is a nice team. Perhaps not as consistent. But they have shown well and deserve some accolades. What I've seen from them is they have a duo at forward that are very gifted and give fits to opponents.
Nice to see MF is showing their true colors. Hey Njx mommy coach, the njx B team is calling. You sold the A team for what. Undeserved playing time? What goes around comes around
Current GS rankings prove what an absolute joke those rankings are. Its painful to hear people get all wound up about them. FYI you look like an idiot discussing them with a serious face!!!! Remember that people!
12:42 Why don't you stop with the jealous, negative, posts and try not to be so hateful, miserable and unhappy. This youth soccer is all supposed to be fun, an enjoyable experience for children and their parents alike to share together, as is this site.Miserable, unhappy people like yourselves are just a distraction to the rest of us.Do you think becuase you keep knocking the rankings all of a sudden everyone really won't care about them. Just look at how many hits are on GotSoccer rankings on their site and tell me how no one cares about them. You are full of BS on that.Everyone including you waits every month to see the updated rankings of their teams and their competitors and then immediately the new rankiongs are posted on this site and they are discussed at length and debated, just like the college rankings in footbasll and basketball, and mens and womens soccer by their respective fans when they come out every week. It's fun and it's something that is never completely agreed on by everyone just as is the case with any subjective rankings, but we still enjoy discussing them and arguing the case for our favorite team.If you only care about the ECNL Teams rankings then go on Top Drawer site and stay off this one. Some of the ECNL Teams like those in NJ aren't ranked high becasue they avoid the non-ECNL Teams and events they enter.Notice that FVC, an ECNL TEeam is ranked #1 in Region 1 because they enter the showcase tournament, play everyone and regularly do well.If it botheres you so much that your daughters team is not ranked higher then complain to your club that you want to enter more non-ECNL tournaments and play all comers.Otherwise stick it in your ear .
8:06You must be one of those idiots.
2-0 wildcats. Early!
8:06Is one of those Idiots and it is painful to watch a parent hang on to antiquated ranking system because that is all they have right now. This ranking system helps with tournament placement that helps to seat the best teams together but it is and old system that get gamed by every club that is trying to attract naive parents to their clubs. It is painful to watch some great talent get wasted by these teams because of these ranking gimmicks.
I agree 8:06 as Apr 2015 Unique Gotsoccer Visitors = 134,815 with over 500k hits, S0 it matters for sure. I have been saying for so long that we should exclude ECNL teams - they have their league that is the world cup to them and that is great. Are the rankings flawed, sure maybe with the order and some teams may not be included, but that's when these websites come into play when you are tired of talking about development vs winning.I'm an idiot who comes on here and post about the top team lists and I do use GS as a starting point and then throw in my idiot opinions.
This from 11:31am post yesterday- "Can't wait for TSF to destroy Wildcats".Sorry to disapoint you again Nostradamus - Wildcats roll 5-1 over TSF today in NPL finals.Wildcats off to Indiana for NPL Nationals.Ouf course first up for them is Region 1 Tournament in West Virginia next week.Hey 10:24 Now that must be really painful for you to watch!
Wildcats cruised to 6-1 win. On to Indiana.
Congrats to the Wildcats.
1 TSF ACADEMY 01/025 NJ WILDCATS AVERBUCH Our Age group is done. Now we just need to wait fo all other to finish before they draw the groups. We have 3 NJ teams, 1 VA team and 1 MA team from Region1 at least 2 of them will be in the same group. if we used GS to put them into 4 groups - they would look like this.Based on this A & D would play 3 games (every team in their group). B & C would makeup a 6 team group with B playing 3 games vs C and C playing 3 games vs B with the top 2 teams advancing.Of course the draw will be blind. And the icing on the cake they areone of the top GS teams.Well done NJ Wildcats!!Good Luck NJ Wildcats, PL, SS and GB in WVGood Luck NJ Wildcats, STA, PDA, NEFC & FCV in Indiana
Yes best of luck to all the Teams from Region 1 who have qualified for Region 1 tournament or NPL Nationals. It will be an expereince you will never forget and best of all one we can share with our daughters and family!Enjoy!!!
Good thing Wildcats didn't have to play any of the PDA teams to advance to Indiana. Or even any of the teams that thumped them in Region 1 Champions League. Great job winning the games you were supposed to win. Beating NJCSA & TSF then coming here to announce it to the world shows your true colors Coach.
Why would you leave an ECNL team? You wouldn't. Not if your daughter is an elite player... Not if she wants to be seen by scouts. Is it fun for 13 year olds to brag about being in the top 20 of GS rankings (and for some parents)? Sure! Depends on your goal... Personally those ECNL showcases are where I know my daughter will be scouted indefinitely. Worth giving up those GS point opportunities? No doubt.
There are many ways to get notice. Give the Wildcats and STA credit for getting their non-ECNL teams exposure. Don't knock them for that. I would say if you are not on an ECNL team those two teams at this age group are the place to be and be seen.
3:00 NJ Wildcats didn't avoid them, they avoided the NJ Wildcats. Why put 2 teams in NE Girls NPL? One could have played EDP NPL and the other could travel with ECNL team as it was the 2nd NPL team didn't travel with ECNL team and if they played EDP they could have played Regeion1 Choice was PDA's - NJ Wildcats couldn't join NE Girls NPL. PS. I'm not with NJ Wildcats and I'm no coach.3:13 Correct fi your daughter was playing 40 of the 80 minutes you wouldn't leave. But if she doesn't - then NJ Wildcats proved there is another option - simple you can't spin that one by knocking GS. NJ Wildcats proved that you can play for NPL titles and USYSA Regional/National Title and if you are good enough the National league. I'm pretty sure scouts go to those events. Give me a second and I'll post all the D1 school at WV.
Yes NJ Wildcats are u13 NOW and enjoying GS rankings (parents). They will play in front of the below scouts (if they were older) and in a few weeks they play in front of the Scouts at the NPL Finals - and if they qualify for Tulsa more scouts and if they make National League even more scouts in addition to SPIRIT, WAGS, BETHESDA, JEFFERSON & DELCO. Yes ECNL events will have scouts and all the elite players have nothing to worry about as they will play their minutes - now if you don't play that many? Is it still the place to be if you get 10 minutes or maybe you don't even dress? Like I said those elite players are in and ECNL will help them get the soccer schools. But is it the best option for kids 14-25?
