Something more to stir up the pot & chew on... Just heard from a reliable source at PDA... PDA affiliation with Toms River FC will be named PDA SHORE and full announcement to come by thanksgiving. PDA will have ECNL teams playing some home games on TR Fields and even running some winter camps at the TRFC indoor facility. Interesting twist for those of us in central NJ
MF may draw the talent if they have one of the top coaches from the older teams take over the ECNL team next year...otherwise I think PDA and WC will attract a good amount of the talent
Good job by PDA getting the field access. If any TR folks are around pleasse chime in on potential changes in costs for the SHORE team
re: MF coaches U12 BlackReally? They will go to WC - just for their coach?
PDA River ?
11:28, thats right, not at my daughter’s level, pretty sure your kid is not at her level either, but I digress. What those girls need is extra training over the winter, just not sure how to bring that up, any suggestions? Thanks!
Match Fit north or Jefferson is approx. 50 miles to PDA. Match Fit parents set up your training tryout now before it's to late.
so much speculation on this MF team. this team is not moving, they will stay up NORTH.For the coach, just like every, you either like your coach or disagree with them.He trains my kids during the winter and he is very knowledagable
We know there will a Match Fit team up north. But will this be where the ECNL team will train? How do parents know to have their daughter tryout before knowing where they will train.
This blog always provides high comedy! Most, if not all of you, need to stop living through your children. Odd's are that most of you were probably average, at best, athletes growing up.Do you really know who your daughter may be competing against to play at a higher level, let's say Div 1?Your daughter's competition is every player 3 years older and 3 years younger. So for arguments sake, take the top 20 teams from each state ( no Alaska or Hawaii)Average of 18 players per team, many now will carry up to 24 or 25 on the roster, to grab the money! That is a pool of 107,520 players! Wow. That doesn't count the very good players that aren't on those teams but could potentially play at this level. How many Div 1 girls teams? ~ 327 lets just say for argument sake 20 player per team. So ~ 6500 players. or about 5% of that player pool. oh yeah, only 11 players will start about 2.5% of that pool. And very few will be offered scholarship money, and only a handful would be offered a full ride (if any). Maybe you should just enjoy the ride, watch your daughters play, hope that they achieve everything they want to playing this beautiful game, they will gain life long friendships and life lessons. Do you think they will remember an EDP, ECNL, JAGS game played on Oct 1, 2013? No. So get away from the my daughter is better than yours, our team is better than your team, etc...They are 11 and 12 years old and when a game is over it is over to them, they just want to move on to something else that day, like hanging with their friend and being a kid!Enjoy the games, it will all be over so fast and you may regret how you thought about this stiff when you get older.
what's with all the focus on MF? I have to imagine it is a disgruntled parent trying to take down the team. Is there some rule that states that all ECNL teams have to train in one location? If there is, I would hope that the team's/club's management makes the parents aware of this as the tryout cycle approaches. If there isn't rule, then why so many comments about the team moving to Hazlet for training?
If don’t have anything negative to say, don’t say anything at all...
Personally, I have to lean towards NJX parents upset with what avenues they have. Trying very hard to make some noise to push ECNL down south.
1:58, but I will remember the EDP or NPL games in 2013, and I want to have those sweet memories for when I am old, so that I can look back twenty years from today, and say “You played great today honey, really proud of you” #1 1/2 Out
Dear 1:58.Your essay lacks hope, please insert some.
MF Black come U14 training will be in Hazlet(Raritan H.S.) all the ECNL teams train there. That is FACT!
2:37 hit the nail on the head.
I think Crush will have it very easy this weekend at the maps challenge u12.
Newflash: PDA and Match Fit about to merge, will soon become the largest dysfunctional family in New Jersey, stay tuned.
Njx does not have a say on moving any team south. MF has had their plans long ago before any merger of these two. Stop stirring the pot or putting your nose where it doesn't belong if you don't have all the facts.
If in Hazlet no way Match Fit north parents are driving 1.50-2.25 hrs for ECNL.
2:43- Hit their head on the nail!MF ECNL teams already train in Hazlet. Prepared to be fleeced you silly sheep..
I have to say, some of these notes are quite funny, and such outdated lingo, hitting the nail, really?Sticking your nose in, really? Who says that anymore, is it me?
Hey 1.5 you know me #2 out
November 14, 2013 at 1:58 PM Great post.
You guys slay me - just because posters are not talking about what you want to talk about they are not enjoying the ride, watching their daughters play as they gain life long friendships and life lessons. The funny thing is you are the only one who brought up D1 Schools and scholarships.
GUYS FACTNot all ECNL teams train in Hazlet. That is a FACT
Thanks #2, at least YOU get it, #1.5 OutGS guy, here’s to you dude, rock on!
How many one sport players are there in this group, please chime in on if your daughter is a soccer only athlete, if not, what other sports do they play.I vote as soccer only : 1.5
I like GFA this weekend, mark my words!
the GFA coach was posting on craigslist for guest players.
bahahaha, funny man, did he get any?
Since everyone wants to talk facts: The fact is, MF and NJX has merged. MF Black has already let players train at the Hazlet complex and just play games. What makes you people think, this type of set up can't continue if a south player is good enough to play ECNL and that team is up North. You silly people have no clue.
If NJX agrees to become MF. They can train in Hazlet. They already have a good team but can add 6 to 8 very good players. 1. MF has 2 players training there already 2. NJ Force and Wildcat players in the area 3. PDA has several players in the area as well. It does make a lot of sense for MF to put their ECNL team in that area. MF parents need to realize that MF will do what's best for MF.
So the only good players in the state of NJ are in central jersey? North jersey has SDFC, TSF, STA and WC to name a few. You don't think MF can come up with 6-8 good players up north to add to an already very good team? I just don't understand the logic of moving a team just to move it. That would be a silly move on MF's behalf.
I've been to MF's website and there is nothing there that says they have MERGED with NJX. All it says is that they have a training affiliation with NJX. They also have a training affiliation another half dozen or so clubs. That's very different from a merger, no?
Merge or affiliation. Whatever! Close enough in my eyes. Don't really care.
I heard they the US National team is going to use the Match Fit model and have different players train at different locations. Than meet up at the games. Are you kidding me!! What a total joke. How can a team mesh when half the team is in another location? How can the coach learn the players strengths and weakness's? Are coach's sending videos of each training session? How can any parent pay for this?
@ 7:44Parents are already paying for it and the team seems to be doing quite well. Best in NJ. Coach must be legit to get the results needed. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if National team players showed up to play under Matchfit. Hell, Chelsea FC did.
Yeah...everyone up north is going to run to MF.. Don't think so.
its obvious Match Fit a topic recently. LOLFor me Match Fit is more relevant than PDA at this age level. For ECNL, Match Fit and World Class are the best options. There are 2 ECNL teams that train up North for Match Fit. Reason why a 3rd won't be up North.Whenever there is so much talk, people say I won't I be at there tryouts, I wont play for a team, I wont root for them, you will be the first ones at tryout hoping your kid makes this team. For a team to join outside ECNL up North will be Crush. Crush is a top team in NJ, have a very solid group.
WC and Match Fit will draw many players at this age group. These 2 coaches both are very top notch coaches. I laugh when I read kids would go play for these teams i clubs put another coach in place. Anyone who believes this have no clue about soccer. Those 2 teams are very similar, both have far more talent on their teams than PDA. YOu have to give credit due when its due, these coaches are the ones who deserve all the credit for their teams success.I can tell you many kids are constantly at World Class and MF practices. How many are from your team?
Hate to state the obvious but.. PDA Girls Club ranked #1 in the COUNTRY. Not opinion, fact.Couple players on USWNT from PDA. Not opinion, fact
Matchfit and World are 1st rate organization that will draw their share of great players. They will be strong teams..However, PDA will draw some of the best players in the region. No matter how strong you think these teams are at u12, It will change. It always does in PDA's favor. This age group will be no different. All these teams are lucky to have each other for competition purposes. One can only hope that matchfit, world, and east meadow will continue to draw the players that will be able to compete with PDA.
there's one problem with your assessments. PDA did not have to compete with players prior to this year. Now there is another top club competing with PDA. This will weaken PDA teams, yes there are ranked number last year. Its going to be tough to hold this spot now. People in NJ have an option where as before there was not option. PDA was able to pick any kid they wanted to and offer them something no other NJ club could (ECNL) You are already see the affects in PDA. Many top, yes top players at younger ages left and many more will follow.
No top player leaves PDA going into ECNL. If you're a top player in the region , you will choose PDA first, Matchfit and world second. unless geographically, it is advantageous to go to World or match fit. Those girls that seek more playing time will go to Matchfit or World, that is what is happening now. Please tell me why you think that the first choice for any player not already on World or Matchfit would not choose PDA first. I just don't see it.
Times are changing. PDA again had not competition for NJ. Now they do. I went through the process, have a daughter on U17 PDA team. I personally am not going through PDA a 2nd time. Now I have a great choices for my 2nd child where as I did not 6 years ago
Choices yes, I agree, but there are always a hierarchy in ones choices for anything in life. And it is hard to imagine that Matchfit would be choice number 1 for any family lucky enough to have those options. But it is certainly great for NJ to have to choices. And if you have a daughter on the u17 team then she plays for the Clash. Apologizes are in order for the coach of that team.
I heard that match fit will let kids train anywhere in NJ than all meet up for the game. U14 team is doing this any working out great. Their in 5th place out of 6 teams. With NO chance of moving up in the standings.
@10:25, East Meadow, really? I mean, East Meadow, for real? You must be drinking the Hotshotz cool aid...I will pass, enjoy.
FC StarsCFCAre 2 very successful clubs that utilize teams throughout there respected states. To me seems Match Fit taking this approach.Younger teams for Match fit will take some time, they are new teams.Lets see how older teams do.
Match fit is the laughing stock of NJ soccer can't build team.
PDA has the facilities, experience, alumni, tournaments and are Nationally recognized. IF your daughter is an elite soccer player and you think she has a real chance to go far in soccer you have to go to PDA.Hating PDA is not a reason to go to Match Fit. My daughter isn't going to either but lets be realistic. MF parents are getting crazy with this ECNL dream. MF promising EVERYBODY ECNL golden tickets.
If your daughter isn't at either club, you cares what you think, ha?
"If your daughter isn't at either club, you cares what you think, ha?"And if she isNow do you have anything more to contribute?or do you need to take a nappy now- After that extremely thoughtful post.
funny how times change, For years PDA all they did was promise ECNL and the fact that they are the only NJ ECNL team. Double edge sword wouldnt you say
Word class great facility.PDA great facility.Match Fit NO facility.World class competition for playing time at training.PDA competition for playing time at training.Match fit NO Facility and NO competition since training at different fields. World Class builds teams.PDA builds teams.Match Fit BUYS teams. No building.Where do you want your daughter to play???
I could not agree more, All I heard for years. PDA belong to ECNL, this club does not, nor does this club. you will get the best exposure playing top clubs at PDA.All of sudden Match Fit gets in ECNL and people are knocking Match Fit for offering the exact same thing PDA has been for years. Match Fit girls program has been in existence, 3-4 years? That is a huge accomplishment to join ECNL in such a short time. Going to be a battle for years for top players now. PDA is not the only choice any longer. Match Fit older teams are just as strong as PDA's.Comparing younger teams, well Match Fit technically does not have any. Developing teams within there affiliates is there approach right now. U12 Black team is a very solid team, technical skills players and very skillful with ball handling. Best 1v1 team that I have seen. Yes best in NJ for sure. Proved it by beating PDA at PDA something NJX struggled with. PDA U12 team not attracting top players. Why? Why go to PDA when you can join a top team at Match Fit, World Class or even Crush. Called Choices. World Class is another young program that is on the rise and you see the results in there younger teams. Match Fit will grow younger teams in years to come. Have to start somewhere. to have 28 teams on girls side in this short time span is very impressive.
In short existence, Match Fit has grown into powerhouse.PDA started the exact same way. If you were not around. All they did was buy teams to come into PDA and play for free to get the program started. it worked obviously, Match Fit taking PDA hand book and started exact same way. Double edge sword again?what happens next year when Match Fit has there own facility South or North? What is next argument going to be?
I think the argument will be the difference between there and their.
If PDA really wants to be the be all, end all of Jersey soccer it needs an upper north facility
10:28 MF a powerhouse? What a joke! A powerhouse doesn't put a U10 team in a U11 division because they don't have enough U10 players and allow them to concede 35 goals and only score 2 in 5 games. That's not a powerhouse, that's a slaughter house. Sheeple lined up with their wallets to be fleeced. What a disgrace, they owe those poor parents refunds.

Match Fleece parents are in for a big surprise. IF Match Fleece was happy with their current teams why go out and beg NJX to join? Can't wait to see all the Match Fleece parents wearing their wooly hats and scarfs next year.
EDP Central this weekendNJX vs. WildcatsI'm going with WildcatsSJEB vs. PDA AjaxI'm going with a draw
you'll be 0-2NJX 1-0PDA 3-0
Nice list #2, thanks for compiling, some one cares out there!1.5
This PDA vs. Match Fit drama is making me sleepy, snore. Are these the only parents on this blog, there are other teams, yes, there are other teams. Some of those teams can beat PDA and Match Fit, yes, yes they can.
I think NJX and Cats will draw and PDA will win over SJEB
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oCfBfLKg74Is this Match Fit Black? Can you please add some actual video, since we all want to see this great team play.
I would say NJX needs to go to Match Fit to hold team together. If you want to watch this team, have your team call Match Fit to setup a scrimmage
Folks. I am not a PDA fan at all. However, I am a realist. MF program can not compare themselves to PDA. Not even close. PDA is the best of the best. PDA younger teams and program is second to none. But in this age group, MF takes the prize. PDA is entitled to have a sub par age group.
Enough of MF and PDASuper redundant
I am not in a position to ask for a scrimmage, although I would love for my kids team to play them, and PDA, and NJX, and Crush, and any other NJ team, bring them on!
You may not be in a position, but I am with one of the teams mentioned above. What team? I will request a scrimmage if worthy.
So who are you behind the curtain? PDA Coach MF Coach NJX Coach Crush Coach
Every team measures themselves against PDA. If a team beats them they crown themselves the best. Breaking news these are 11-12 year old girls they are going to lose games. No one goes undefeated. Look at Match Fleece been banging their chest since their 1-0 win. Nobody at PDA look ahead and say we're playing so and so unless our kids have school mates on opposing team. PDA best facility, best trainers, best academy in USA. Just plain simple facts.
Match Fleece little brother to PDA always will be
Watched 5 minutes of the crush v oakwood video on utube. Some ugly soccer on an ugly surface. Should work on a little more possession and first touch. WC is close by, less cost, ECNL and has awesome facilities.
It all starts with first touch, they teach this at Match Fit, PDA and World Class, maybe it's an ecnl thing.
First touch is important, but space awareness is just as important, and should be taught before FT. If a player does not recognize, and then utilize, the space that is available, they can have the best FT in the world, and be useless as vital component for their team. Nice.
Sticking to Regional Leagues and projected GS Flight Values for the Spring 2013 if each Club sends their top team.NE Girls NPL = 10,000EDP NPL = 6,250NYCSL NPL = 3,375That's a bunch of points for the top teams in these leagues to add to their GS Tournament Points.#2
're. Oakwood v CrushYou only get to see HALF teams in those games
World Class Hamm being top 4 in NY East while the top WC team (no doubt top ten in region) is not in NYE top ten at all _ tells you all you need to know about rank at this stage
1:51 yes it tells us that the top WC team either didn't play in any GS tournaments or Major tournament that GS manually enters since AUG 2013 where they placed. Is this wrong or right? If it's wrong what tournament have they played in that they won or placed? If it's right - how can you say they are a top team in the region - if they have never placed in a GS tournament or any major tournament?Just asking
Yeah, 1:51, explain yourself!I have spent money on hotel rooms, restaurant meals, gas, tolls, club expenses, etc, just so my kid gets a chance for these damn GS points. These elusive points are earned by her, the team and more importantly by me.They are dearly bought, and not so easily attained.
4:00 You got that right
"more importantly by me"
It's tournament time .... Go tsf
Tsf does not win a game this weekend
How many NJ girls have been playing with the PA ECNL teams? Is it possible that MF going ECNL will now draw these girls back to the home state? Seems to me if there are NJ gals on the PA ECNL teams those teams may lose worse than PDA.
PA girls come to PDA.
PDA Ajax 5-1 Sjeb PDA Ajax EDP central champs FACT!!!
I see Crush and IGFA will go head 2 head for the bracket tomorrow. Should be a good game they both won by a 10-0 and 8-1 goal margin. Not sure how the other flight looks after 2nd games.
geez bracket not flight
Congrats to PDA Ajax that was not an easy accomplishment - some good teams in that division.
Hey Got Soccer Guy:Can you explain why several of the teams in EDP Central, such as PDA Ajax, etc., are getting a couple thousand points for how they finish in "EDP League 2013/2014" and then getting another 1000 or so points for an imaginary league called "CJYSA League Fall 2013" ... which is simply counting the EDP games a second time as their own separate league games? Interestingly enough - all the teams in EDP Central are getting this double-dipping, except East Brunswick and West Windsor - the only two town teams. Some sort of Got Soccer manipulation by MSSL to artificially boost the standings of its professional clubs? or just some error in software?
I couldn't tell you. It does look like the teams in both leagues have their results count twice.
The CJYSA games are the games that the EDP teams play under their NJYSA cards as opposed to their US Club cards. The rest of the EDP games are played under the US Club cards. These games are the ones the teams must play in order to be eligible for playing in the Fall State Cup. Not sure why they award them double points though.
Anyone hear about what happened with East Brunswick Lightning today? Lost badly both games, Coach announced after second loss that they were not going to show tomorrow for their meaningless 3rd game... They are going to no-show. There will be a Marlton team turning up tomorrow to play no game. Own parents fighting on sideline, best 3 players leaving for FC Copa after this weekend. That team is a mess. Hopefully we never see them in the top bracket ever again after this weekend.
Ajax really who cares yo! You are a good team but not that great you have to post "fact". Loss in SC, Loss to TSF and a few others not worthy to mention. Just another PDA team with parents full of themselves, get over it. Its still developmental soccer until they get into U14, where a lot of your kids wont be with PDA as the other better kids try out for the first time and push some of your kids out. Enjoy the game and F this blog!
This post is in response to the coward who posted about East Brunswick.I am one of the parents whose daughter is leaving the Lightning, and while I do not agree with the decision to not play against Marlton tomorrow, I am pretty sure that Marlton has already been informed of this and they wont be just showing up. I am sure they appreciate your concern though. As far as the purpose of your post, obviously you are just trying to start trouble. Yes they are going through a tough time right now, but they have a good coach/trainer who will get them back on track in no time.As far as you announcing where the 3 of them are going, that is very thoughtless as I am sure their new team did not ask to be brought into this conversation.Howard
Thanks Howard! The same coach/trainer that decided to forfeit your game tomorrow? Real good coach you have there... Obviously just wants a Sunday off and has no interest in developing these girls. Or maybe just can't coach well enough to beat Marlton and doesn't want to be embarrassed after a bad season overall and a terrible day today? Either way... The team is a joke and the coach cannot be that great as you were a good team 1 year ago and have slowly declined.Good luck!
Howard, why are you leaving if they have a good coach/trainer that will get them "back on track?"
8:11.... Whaaaaaaaaaaa! Whaaaaaaaaa! I thought the 3 best players left PDA. What team did they go to?
Maybe flight making guy knows now how idiotic it was that Jackson was in top flight and YMS in bottomTried to tell ya
Can't we just congratulate the girls who won or will win their respective division?!? The girls worked hard and it's not an easy feat to win in EDP. No matter what team they play for.
No matter how bad the team is playin or what problems you have with coaching etc. You should NEVER avoid playing a game that you were supposed to.What are we teaching our daughters? That if is not going well we just don't show up?If is true what East Brunswick team is doing is the worst thing and the worst example we can give to our young players.Forget the level or the coaching skills, this is not important if you do not have any sense of responsibility and respect for everybody in the tournament: parents/players/opponents etc.
Yes Mr Howard , if the coach is so good and they are going to be back on track why you are leaving?
Team leaves a tournament before it's done ... players leave the team before the year's done ... sounds like a pattern to me.
Right, never said Ajax was a "great" team nor did i put them in some top ten list, just saying it was a good accomplishment to come in first in EDP central when you have good teams. 3 of the top 5 teams in NJ according to got soccer ;) 4 wins 2 draws 0 losses 17 goals for 4 goals against. GOOD JOB!!! Loss in SC along with 32 other teams Loss to TSF ( state semi finalist) happens Lets be honest if you were to predict this division in the beginning of the year everybody would have said 4 place at best. Not full of my self, just proud.
Great post cheers bsoss!
Ditto. Great post. Be proud!!! Good luck in the future!
What was outcome of NJX game today?
Go crush .... Grt wkend ... Champs
Congrats to NJ Crush, one of the best teams in that state!
Congrats to all the girls who played this week and congrats to the winners from the EDP Central to the MAPS Challenge. Great way to end your outdoor season if you don't have any other tournaments planned.Since this by far is the most active board - I'm curious with 3 NPLs in the area, US club soccer has it's id2 for the national level. But they use their Player Development Programs which are directly tied to NPL teams in their specific region. They invite the best players from those regional teams for an evaluation camp that lasts about a day and a half. The best players from those camps, sometimes scouted directly by the USSF, are then invited to the national id2 camp. Will this weaken the R1 ODP pools? and how does the EDP TIP play out is it part of the PDP?
Did Wildcats & NJX play today? Any results?
No wildcats did not play they have to many injuries. FACT
"too" many. FACT
They have TOO many injuries but aren't they playing in a tournament this weekend? Must be the all important GS points are more important than a league game
Did EB forfeit today?
That's the truth.
Yes EB forfeit today.i wonder if there will be consequences. They should be penalize for something like that beside losing the game no?
- "One win vs Stars of Mass North, not a top club"(CENTRAL is their stud team)Nov. 13 Post regarding gotsoccer NJ #1. 11/17/13-FC STARS OF MASS NORTH #94, just beat the bloggers choice for NJ #1. Any given day people.
Clueless parent indeed! Copa's new coach is one of the best trainers of girls in the state. His reputation is very good, and the club as a whole has a very good girls program and have graduated players to play D1 and D3 every year since 2008. Only issue is coach has multiple teams in club and could have conflicts. Similar things going on at SJEB right now with the older teams. Coaches too busy to manage them all. An organization as professional as Copa will have a solution though to any problems. Great move by EB girls... Copa is the furthest thing from garbage.
I am Marlton parent and I know we do not have a great team but I enjoyed the games and too bad we couldn't play the last game Sunday due to forfeit.I went to see the games anyway and in my opinion the two strongest team were Crush and IGFA .Their game was tight and really could have gone both ways as they both had good moments and bad but overall Crush was the best team during all weekend so they deserve to win. Congratulations to them .
7:42 Thank you for being gracious, unlike so many on this blog. Marlton is good team, and will only improve with additional winter training, stay the course, and enjoy watching your daughter play, that is what all this effort is for, her.Cheers!
Thanks for removing that stupid comment @ 12:06
NYCSL NPL standings update as the 2013 Fall part of the season is almost done. Spring 2014 should be very interesting for this straight through league.Which brings me to my question - what do you guys think of leagues that don't split their Fall/Spring season? Do you like that or do you like the fresh start in the Spring? I'm sorry but to me any league that doesn't have the same turnout of teams in the Spring is not a top soccer league to me. That just tells me that have lots of town teams with kids that play multiple sports.Below are standings sorted by Points per game average.2.667 NEFC (MA) 2.667 Oakwood SC (CT)2.400 Parsippany SC (NJ)2.300 NJ Crush FC (NJ)2.222 Yankee United FC (CT)1.700 Seacoast United SC (NH)1.600 NJSA 04 (NJ)1.545 Mass Premier Soccer (MA)1.143 Intense Soccer Academy (NY)1.125 Morris United/STA (NJ)1.111 Massapequa SC (NY)0.700 Aztec Soccer (MA)0.429 Brentwood SC (NY)0.250 NY Rockland Sting (NY)0.222 New York Rush (NY)0.000 HBC SC (NY)
I agree, it shows that soccer is not their top priority, which is unfortunate, at the least.I think we would do well against any of these teams, but we play in EDP, so any future matches would be friendlies only.HBC, yikes, that hurts.
New York in NPL U12 - wow.
The only comment that was "stupid" was the original one, that was why the second one was removed.
8:53, please explain.
Forget it, sorry, I got it.
8:50, the best teams in NY do not play in that league, they play in EDP, and RPL.
So when are Njx and Wildcats going to play? Christmas? Doesnt the results of their game matter? If not to them but other teams as well.
859EmbarassingIs what it isNPL is a top league. NY teams IN NPL need to send better
Npl is for "B" teams
Sure has the look of it at U12, bottom half
Is that all you got today, bashing NY NPL, is that it?
Would love to see Crush play against PDA, would be an entertaining fixture. Am surprised that IGFA did not win that flight, perhaps overrated?P.S. Did they find any guest players, or did the u13’s play down this past weekend?
Played pretty well if it was half a team playing with half a guest team.Maybe the reporting of "they only have U12s playing with U13s, not enough for a full U12" was inaccurate.
GFA uses girls from the U13 teams that are grade appropriate for 13 but technically are u12.
The fact that they have to play u12’s on the u13 roster is very telling, not enough interest at that level.
Not bashing NY Npl. Just bashing Npl in general. It is for the B teams. Level of play is alot weakers
Crush wins a weak tournament and they are calling out Pda. Give it up
You’re right, it is weakers.
IGFA also had u-11s playing up. Nice team.
What happened to MF?
Crush gets Pda this spring
Okay if NPL is so bad - and I've already listed the NYCSL NPL standings. Below are our other NY NPL clubs. PS. I'm sure a few of these clubs will send their teams to the Manhattan Spring Classic - so if your team is good I'm sure you'll be in the same flights.
2:11, I don’t understand your question, what are you asking?
It was asking the below post, which EDP / NYCSL PL team is NY Best teams?SABA BROOKLYN CITYATLETICO GU11KOSMOS FC NIKHAnonymous said...8:50, the best teams in NY do not play in that league, they play in EDP, and RPL.November 18, 2013 at 8:59 AM
The 3 teams I listed are 3 NON-NPL teams that play in either league EDP or RPL (which correct me if I'm wrong is now the NYCSL PL.
Who cares what I think, but if I had to guess, I would say that my daughters team is the best u12 team in New York ; )What do you think?
Just to be clear Gfa played with their own players ,no guest players .4 players are younger (u11) and the others were all age appropriate.if we look into other teams is not uncommon to have younger players playing up sometimes .age appropriate or grade appropriate is something that everybody has in their own team.Technically age appropriate is what counts.with that said their u12 is not with a roster of 25 players like other team so because of a couple of injuries they brought the younger players from u11.it would not hurt to have more players on the u12 but it is not an easy age to find good players.Anyway Crush deserved to win and congratulation to them, i just wanted to clarify for whoever was guessing above. As a parent i was a little disappointed with the outcome but overall girls did good and the best team won. But i am happy with the way my girl is developing and that's all. wish all of you are happy with what your daughter gets out of whatever team she is playing . that is all that matter.
I think your right because my daughter plays on her team.
2:51 I agree with you - Teams bringing Guest players to Tournaments are after one thing only - don't kid yourself - that is the result.Hats off to all teams that don't use guest players win or lose. Guest players are playing for free and are taking away development minutes from the kids that made the team and paid to play for the team.
2:51, your daughter is a great player, but I think my kid is better, don’t you agree?
Haha, nice back-door insult 3:01, very clever.
3:11 I think we agree to disagree - my daughter is faster and more skilled - but your kid is tougher and has great soccer IQ - I'll give her props.
tbh: my kid is simply better with her feet, is smarter, and prettier, but your daughter would make a great GK, has she ever had any professional lessons?
Hahaha, sorry 3:14, just pulling your chain, cheers!
3:01 was insulting? guess i am slow then, i actually agree with the statement on guest players in general but sometimes you have different reason to have guest players . there are many angles to see this .anyway if you were insulting than i am not, just agree on principal in general
3:13 not trying to insult anyone - why else would a team use guest players if they already have bench players? No disrespect to anyone, sorry if it came across as backdoor - but it's just as I see it. 1. Team's hold tryouts2. Coach selects players to play out season (League and Tournaments)3. Parents pay for their kids to train and develop to earn playing time.Guest players take away playing time and play for free. So why are they used if a team has bench players? Must be for the result, No?
I think 3:01 is a Crush parent, complementing himself, and his kids team, low-rent.
3:18 it's all good.
3:24 - If you want me to be a crush parent - I'll be a crush parent for you.
Its a perfect example of the ridiculous comments on this blog, Its laughable sometimes, laugh-out-lot funny, which happens occasionally here, you are right, it IS all good.
kind of getting boring, can somebody start insulting PDA and MAtch fit again? missing reading 200 messages of who is better.Anybody? come on i know you are out there ! lol
Okay CPFTD Crush parent for the day:Answer me this:If you had to chose one other club to join, who, and why?
New team to look at in spring is Matawan United.
i will choose PDA in fall and Match fit in spring so i can fight both sides
Matawan, is that in the United States? Do they sell tax-free cigarettes over there, need to stock-up.
or i go to Matawan United as 3:33 suggested,
i go to Matawan and get cigarettes for everybody
Great choice, and you can also winter with the Wildcats coach, heard he has some spare rooms to let. I like the way you think, CPFTD!
what is CPFTD by the way? i should keep wildcats in summer, blue go with my tan
We are always hearing about who the best team in NJ is, how about the worst team in NJ, who would that be? Let’s all get together and help this team, so that we can make fun of them when they better!
Crush Parent For The Day, its clever, no?
lol yes its clever i admit lol
IGFA dad, you are brave to expose yourself to abuse on this blog, there are many people out there who have nothing better to do but make fun of other teams, bravo my friend.
i also think there is a fun way to "make fun" and a nasty one.we should be a little more relax and joke around with respect, after all our daughter are all that matter.
As you can probably tell from the IGFA parent posts... It's a different sort of academy, no nasty bashing comments because it's not that kind of club. In general everyone is on the same page about player development and honing skills vs winning at all costs. If the only bad thing others can say is that we bring younger players then that just points out how we develop them by playing with older players, tougher & bigger opponents to show them what's coming so they can be ready. If the thought of a good fundamentally sound team with a bunch of 1-2 year younger players scares you... It should!
oh oh, now we are going to see a big attack coming with multiple messages insetting this igfa parents..lol ...waiting.......lol
insulting not insetting lol
