Would the same negative comments about travel distance for participating in RCL and ultimately the USYS National Championship Series apply with respect to 11-13 year old boys participating in the baseball Little League World Series?
Absolutely yes. Don't get me started on baseball, maybe worse than soccer.
Again Baseball totally different sport the enjoyment of Little League World Series for each Town is fun. Little League World Series are based on Town, remember there is a ruling on how far a child can live to be on each team. It's also by choice but majority players 11-13 do not play Academy Baseball as it is different avenue similar to our soccer scene but many stay at the town level for the aspect of the Little League World Series scene during the 11-13 years of age. Maybe US Soccer can adopt something similar so many players stay amongst it town teams to force players/parents to adhere the being humble and respect for playing for your town.
Until they open a DA in the Rochester /syracuse/binghamton area, then we'll see who cares
Jeff cup has pre flights out, only rage and PDA in top flight. So is pipeline, not sure they belong. Doesn't really matter, everything changes next year with BYC.This and PDA spring will be the last time girls all play against each other.
Where are the Jeff Cup pre-flights posted?
That's the link for the showcase age groups - what is the link for the U10 - U14 flights?
Observations:F1 - Greensboro gets compensated for a bad break at WAGS where it did not make semifinal when it thought it did because of quirky tiebreaker rule. Pipeline, a much improved team now relying more on skill than size gets recognized.F2 - PHWM overrated, it made the WAGS semi ahead of Greensboro because of the quirky rule.F3 - North United, underrated. It should be F2F4 - Rage Athletica, underrated. Perhaps in somewhat of a slide, but can still compete with the best.F5 - Supernova, very underrated. Should be an F3. YMS Tempo, underrated.Above said, making the appropriate adjustments would be difficult given the amount of parity between teams.
Biggest shock is PDA Crew in 2nd flight......
Should PDA Crew be higher or lower?
Just be happy PDA is doing something outside their realm, to what I heard was the PDA North sanctions were asked by Jeff Cup to attend at a discount to draw more quality teams. As you can see not many New England clubs like Boston, NY, etc attend. I'm glad Jeff Cup did their majority of their seeding's based on research vs. just following GS points.
Is Jeff cup more important/bigger than maps?
Jeff Cup top flight confirmed:Greensboro United - NCPDA Galaxy - NJGwinnett SA - GAHMMS Impact - PAENJ Rush Blue (fka Rage Renegades) - NJPipeline SC - MDOP Fire Red - OHNFC Virginia - VA
So we know most of the top teams have the majority of players moving to u15/02 age group next year. Who will be left standing at this age group going to u14/03? I have an 03 and will be making change as our team has to go u15 next year. I assume the larger the club, mthe better the odds of having complete teams for transition, but some are already weak like MF. I'm in the south, so PF may be my only bet, maybe PDA south, but I'm not seeing them coming out strong.
How strong does the PF 02 team look for next year under the new BYC?
No way to predict PF 02 next year after BYC because so many "free agents" will be knocking on the door. Even without the BYC, a club like PF typically sees turnover at the 14/15 age group because at that age the return on investment begins to outweigh the price of admission and many more players show up looking for a ticket. Past results do not guarantee future returns.
Attend the February Player ID sessions and you'll get at least a potential idea.
Please explain "BYC" at Penn Fusion etc.
PF will be stronger at the 02 level. I think you will also see more girls from the south jersey teams looking for options like PF as they may struggle with the BYC next year. Then we have the DA next, would assume PF may be an option and another good reason to go to club like this.
How many 02's on the current team and how many currently on 01?
Don't you mean 02 and 03. You can see on ecnl site the numbers, just don't know how many are starters. What about rage/rush next year? Looks like the stronger group of players are 02 s on that team and they will be forced to go u15 if they want to stay together as a team. Jeff cup and PDA will be the last time most of these top teams play against each other.
I'd be surprised if Rage/Rush breaks up. I see them making the move to U15 with their 02s while pulling some 03s up. Part of the team's success is the consistency of playing together for a number of years with a core group going back to the U9/U10 level. Whether the lure of ECNL will cause girls to leave is yet to be seen, but they have certainly found a team chemistry that works.
Rage should stay together, but they will also have to compete against strong teams made up of 02 girls only. If the da comes in and has a team out of PF, they could lose their top two players and then the team will be broken.
Who says PF will get DA, wouldn't the MLS clubs that have boys DA get it first like Redbulls, PDA, Union Jrs. Etc.
TSF could get DA in fall of 17'. Boys just got accepted to USSDA
Agree with 11:17AM.If you look at the boys side, they don't have DA teams on top of each other.PA Classics out west.LVU up north. It remains to be seen if the Union will have a girls DA, but FC Delco would be your best bet to become a girls DA. Kids from DE, MD, and NJ will try out, especially if an announcement comes before tryouts. PF has very limited resources, especially regarding field space (one turf field).
12:58 DA also is dependent on funding as the girls will most likely be free similar to boys. So a club will need a lot of backing from both ends youth level teams to it's top level teams. PDA, TSF have that - any word if Match fit is still eligible.
That's changing. They'll have 3 next year.
1:05 Yeah adding 3 in the area in 1 year is not the normal way for DA's even at ECNL doesn't add 3 clubs in one region in a year. Keep pumping false info.
8:14 Team page on ECNL website will give you birthdays for each player that is an 02 birthday on the 01 and 02 current teams. Are they planning on returning? That who knows.
What's false exactly? That PF will have more turf fields? Do some research maybe. I'm not talking about a DA, I'm talking fields.
Wow this blog has come alive again don't anger the PennFusion parents to much or they will leave again.
Cedar Stars will only have U10-U13 girls teams in the fall. But they have the financial backing and resources to make it happen. Owner just built turf fields and has own indoor facility. Boys are USSDA. He owns a USL team and just dropped 10M on a deal with a Bundesliga 2 team, that will wear his Capelli gear in 2018. He has the bucks to make it happen. Not saying it's right, but you know what they say - MONEY TALKS !
So now their will be 3 powerhouses up North Jersey, PDA/Matchfit/Cedar Stars. Come on powers to be when will SJ get something.
Would not the girl's DA go to the NWSL clubs if it were to mirror the boys?
4:59no, NWSL clubs don't have the money to pay their own players appropriately, so they won't have the extra money to support DA's
If there is no support for the pro league from the media or fans, the DA at these clubs will be a good taste of the future for these young players. Where are the pro players coming out of the DA supposed to have a career anyway?
They have to give more info on the DA. I know it sounds real, but these people have no clue and have lots of work to do. I honestly want it, but don't believe they can pull it off...
Will not happen ! Will not work ! There is no money in the womens game. Sorry once every four years there is a little money. Totally different animal.
Such positivity! So you're saying that despite announcing a girls DA Fall 2017 that they're FOS?
What are they really announcing? Does it represent an new type of opportunity for top players or it more of the same top level country cub soccer?
Penn Fusion is building two turf fields at USTC, where delco currently practices / plays
916 get your facts straight Penn Fusion sign a contract to use the fields they do not own it.
9:46..I don't know all of the details, obviously. Just heard they were converting two grass fields to turf and paying for it
10OO Here are the details - they are leasing it! This just shows that people on here post things without the full facts. http://www.pennfusion.org/home/900379.htmlDid anyone hear if PA Classics applied for the DA first for the PA?
I dont think that anyone has applied yet for girls DA. Clubs are still awaiting info.
Penn Fusion and Continental FC Delco both use fields at United Sports. It is owned by a private developer. HE is building two new turf fields - so they will have a total of 4-outdoor turf fields in addition to their grass fields.FYI... Penn Fusion was originally formed from a JV between Spirit United and West Chester United. Many of the successful Penn Fusion teams historically have had coaches that came from Spirit. Three years ago Spirit pulled out of the Penn Fusion JV and merged with FC Delco to form Continental FC. Spirit wanted the boys developmental academy and FC Delco needed a player pipeline, coaches, access to fields etc. Several of Continental's coaches have coached for Spirit, Penn Fusion, and now Continental FC Delco. We are one big happy family here in Chester County, PA.
1208 Now that is some true facts info sharing there! Nice to see someone research v just posting nonsense.
What about PDA coaching next year? The only one I know is mike Oneal, what team will he be taking?
PDA - MO 2002 / LH 2003.
Wow if MO is for 02's that's a huge advantage as to many parents will flock to get on that squad! What about PDA South who will be the 02's coach?
Birth year ID sessionshttp://www.pennfusion.org/home/904818.html
PF will have a very strong group of 2002 players, should be the stand out team going forward for the club. I also think there will be more girls coming over from south jersey. They picked up a few last year and many more great talents out there looking to make the move. With MO taking over this age group at PDA, some will make the long trek up north just because of him taking over. The 2003 teams will all be weak, with PDA north dominating this age group going forward.
1209 How do you know all this insight about SJ players going to PF - I think your just PF parent just trying to market their program. Plus isn't Downingtown, PA(PF new turf fields) a lot further than PDA North for many SJ players.
PDA North is further.
The upcoming Penn Fusion ID sessions are free and are a great way for players to get exposure before tryouts
Would be nice to see other clubs doing this. I have an 2003 and would like to see what clubs will be doing and who will be coaching playing.Everyone I ask, they say they haven't heard anything. For clubs looking to get ahead of the curve and recruit, this sounds like a good idea. I know I'm looking, but PF is not in the cards do to distance.
From, let's say, Washington Township, NJ, to PF, would be about a 45 mile, or 75 minute drive.
A 1 hour 15 minute drive isn't uncommon for top players to travel to ecnl clubs at this age.
Yup, PF has several over the 90 minute one-way commute mark, which at a 3 hour round trip you would think it would just be easier on the family to move, which I suppose happens sometimes.
I hope you mean move player to closer club not relocate a family for a youth soccer team.
I'm sure some crazy parents do actually move their whole families . They all think their kid is the next Mia Hamm
Who cares? People spend way too much time concerning themselves with other peoples lives. Not your kid, not your decision, not your money, not your concern.
You're right it's not our money and not our concern . Doesn't mean we still can't think it's ridiculous .Sounds like we hit a nerve with you tho. Let me guess..... Your little Suzy is the next Mia Hamm? lol
Is my kid talented? Yes. Do I expect her to be on the future USWNT? No. Do I have hopes of scholarship? You bet. My turn. Let me guess...You are an opinionated nosey ass who does often concern yourself with other peoples business? (lol)
I'm sure most parents on this blog have daughters that are very talented. Hopefully your daughter will also have the grades for that scholarship you're after . I know mine will !
But of coarse. Academics come first in our house. Very few girls will make a living out of a soccer career after all.
Why did she leave?
Are you sure you're not just trying to scare away parents from bringing their kids to their tryout?
Not at all . If you and your daughter like that kind of atmosphere then I'm sure you will be very happy there . To each his own .
My daughter is an 02 and PF is a tryout we plan to attend. Can you tell me is this hearsay from PF parents you know are have you yourself witnessed this atmosphere?
. The 02s will have a good team no doubt . With the birth year change it should be a much better environment as the mean girls on the current team are 03s.
Looks like someone was up late going back and forth with themselves...
PDA north is a lot less time from SJ than PF. I-76 W!
Just looked at PF got soccer page, they have done nothing. why so much talk about them?
Those mean girls on the 03 PF team will be playing on the 02 team.Book it. Too much parental influence. One of the 02 players has already left the team.
Parental influence isn't going to allow them to play up a year on ecnl.
They will if they don't have the depth of 02 girls. This will be the only reason clubs allow it and I think many will, like - PF, MF, WC and other ecnl clubs who have very weak teams currently. PDA has the depth to avoid this and they don't put up with parent bull $hit in most cases, unless the girls is a stand out natl team player. And there are not any of those yet in this age bracket. This starts at u14. People should want to stay on age, unless the lower team is very weak.
How nice would it be if parents brought their kid to practice and games and just..watched! Too many feel the need to yet again start that chat session with Coach! Need to start carrying a puke bucket around with me.
Who will play on the PF 03 team, the 04 girls? Clubs will be forced to be tough or it will sprawl out of control.
With the costs at a PDA or PF type club you cannot expect the customers to just keep quiet. Very high costs come with very high expectations and demands.
Not at PDA. I have seen a few do it, but it always comes back to haunt you if your daughter slips at all. Coaches can't stand parents that come with baggage - nothing worse for a team or club.
PDA does not cater because they don't have to, plenty of depth and plenty of kids come in every year. They can rely on their name brand.PF does not have the depth, so they need to keep the quality kids happy. And they do not have multiple SJEB players, just the one. Several SJEB players went to Bucks and according to futsal games that were played in the previous weekend before the storm, one has left Bucks and the rest are unhappy. So, not sure what's going on there, but need to confirm. Anyone have info?
Actually , this seems wrong. The "mean girls" are the girls who left the team right ?
Bucks lost one SJEB already and the rest will not stay. Bad environment
1:28 I can confirm that your statements are correct .
2:36Feel better calling 12 year old girls mean? classless
This is the same poster talking about her daughter on both this and the u12 blog. Pda has their hands full.
For the Oct,Nov and Dec kids born in 02'. and still in 8th grade next fall, does anyone think there will be a Fall U15 league for clubs to play on?
Stop pinpointing girls !! Awfull. Your wasting your time. Let's talk about upcoming issue. 02 - 03 what's the best ECNL for each age group
Parents should know ahead of time what kind of team they are putting their kid on. And likely it's the former SJEB. Wouldn't shock me.
Does anyone know if there was a January us training center in PA? If so, where? Wonder if snow canceled?
The US training center to be held by Penn Fusion tomorrow night was canceled for the month of January due to snow.
9:30 and 9:31The blog "rules" specifically ask posters not to eference specific players so how about everyone stick with that and call it a day.Administrator, please remove all posts referencing players!
10:27,9:30 here. Didn't reference any player. Did I? Only asked why a kid would know about this blog? Certainly not dinner table convo.
9:30, no you didn't but both of you implied that it's a child's fault for reading or for being thin skinned rather than acknowledging the fact that identifying players is wrong in the first place
Here's some facts 11:21. Never implied any kid is thin skinned. Never pointed out any kid at all. I did however imply that a kid should not be reading this blog. No reason they should even know about it unless parents are discussing it in front of them. This blog is nothing but opinions from a bunch of nobody's. Occasional good information for parents but more times than not it's simply BS. Never have I read a post on here that made me think "oh hey now. That's good stuff! Suzy must read this." Never. Not once.9:30
you avoid the topic of disparaging children regardless of the reader. hiding behind semantics
The 'best' ECNL club is the one where you train, develop, and get plenty of playing time. Try out for them all. They should have quality coaching. If you are not being told what kind of playing time to expect at one club, ask the others.Above all, your kid needs to play in order to develop.Playing 1/2 a game and winning trophies might seem like a good time, but playing 3/4 of a game and not winning as much, offers much more experience. In a 32 game season (22 regular season games for ECNL + some 10 odd games for tournaments), one player gets the equivalent of 16 full games, while the other gets 24 full games. That is a huge difference.Avoid burnout situations where there is constant pressure to win. Avoid toxic environments. Why drive a long distance if your kid does not enjoy training/playing with a particular set of players?Do your homework.
813: ECNL is for the well off parents, with travel to practices and amount of $$$ spent on away games on top of tuition so it's not for everyone, I'll admit it one the ECNL clubs were less than 1 hour away I would consider it. Sometimes just being on a good quality team is just as worth it in the long run. Will my daughter get looked at one of the Top 25 school probably not but if she wants to play college I'm sure she will. Not a big GS fan but let's face facts it helps will at least identifying the top teams in the area and must have good players on it.
I'm on an ecnl team and far from well off. I know of at least 5 others on the team that struggle to make this work, but it is our decision. To make a blanket statement that ecnl is for the well off is complete crap. I have another daughter on a team that actually cost us more than ecnl and we struggle to make that work too. There are people on our team that drive to tournaments that most fly too and share hotel rooms to help reduce cost. The people on the ecnl team are very similar to any other high level team - committed - but not all wealthy.
I appreciate that you struggle to participate but that just supports the observation that ECNL teams are not really well designed for families like yours. An airline journey or thousand mile car excursion to play youth soccer? That is a budgetary struggle beyond possible for many families regardless o the talent of their player.
ECNL does not start until U14.
126 is correct! Wait until every year after this year the mileage on your car trips will expand even more, for all those currently on pre-ECNL just look at where your club's U15-U18 have traveled so far and it's not even spring yet. I kind of agree with the Well Off statement but that's by parent's choice, I think that poster is more referring to the middle/upper class of families. I know for a fact it's difficult to be on a ECNL squad coming from a lower class family as they will struggle without donation support. That's why it's not for everyone and look forward to US Soccer adding a DA to battle to lead the forefront of Girls soccer.
So, where does the club state that every parent has to attend every ECNL event? This is exactly the reason why the focus needs to be on development and having a nurturing environment around you.Show me a player who isn't going to make it and I'll show you a player who looks over at their parents every time they think they made a mistake.
150 So what your saying is it's ok to skip an ECNL event or any games if the parent chooses too if they are with an ECNL club. Sorry it's not in the writing but it will be after you are shown the door to bring another player on that can attend. Yes I seen players skipping for other obligations(School, US Soccer, Other sports Etc.) but not because affordability come on don't be Naïve. Plus a coach would question why even sign up if you cannot attend there is a business side no matter how you look at it.
Look at the amount of travel and commitment teams like rage, sdfc, Rush, sta and many others made just last year. You can't tell me that these teams don't spend way more than PDA teams. Is everyone of them well off? They have to be according to above. PDA went to one travel tournament last year. Most of these teams went to 5 and a bunch more locally that cost money. If you are on a rec team and stay local, I get it. But what about the other top 15 clubs that spend equal to PDA from development to travel? Are they all rich assholes too? What about the 1000's of teams that travel all over to places like Disney and Jeff cup and 90 percent are not ecnl. What is the difference? Go look at teams like sdfc, sta, crush and tsf and see how much they cost and what you get.
I have seen many kids not be able to attend events because of money. And no one has ever been shown the door, just the opposite. The club and other parents do what they can when they can. I'm not with an ecnl club and I know we all spend to much on this crazy sport. To call the ecnl people out is just being hypocritical for most of us.
I looked at the trips made by teams like Rage, SDFC, Rush, STA, as well as other top Region I teams in 2015. In most cases it appears that the travel was confined to a 2 hour drive radius, which could be accomplished through day trips rather than overnights. Rage made three trips that more than likely required an overnight: Bethesda, FC Stars, and Jeff Cup. All of their other events could have been attended through day trips, although somewhat inconvenient to do so. For the most part, the biggest trip for most teams was Jeff Cup. I suspect, to a certain extent, the families consider these road trips mini-vacations or getaways. Although, I admit, that even long day trips can be taxing on larger families with competing demands or families of more limited means.
Hey 956 - you should send your note on to Mallory and tell her how ecnl clubs are only for the well off families. Can't wait for your response.
316 Someone already did that's why DA is coming for girls to compete against ECNL. Let's see who flocks to who then I'm sure many will jump on if it is free!
I know I would, but it's a long time away and they will f it up. I think Youncould end up ending spending more, because you will be chasing your kid all over the place to watch her play. They don't cover your cost. And it cost money to take off work and get her to practice. I'm good with it, but it's only a fraction of the overall cost. Mallory was lucky to be so well off....
Sdfc did 5 travel tournaments, two leagues, indoor training and several other tournaments. Why would you say ecnl is so much more? Even tsf cost more than MF and I know this for a fact. This is a great argument and I'm sure that there are many more expensive clubs than ecnl. I heard crush, tsf and sdfc all were higher. Not sure about sj, I know they have dad coaches that probably save some money, but we all know how that ends up eventually....
If and when the girls DA form i highly doubt it will be free. It will be probably be run at a hugely reduced rate, say $500 for a player for the full year. There just isn't enough money for it to be free unless the club raises the rates of the other teams to accommodate the free cost.On another note, what teams do you think in NJ will be worth attending tryouts for? Bare in mind most are 02s so you should be looking at Club with a current solid U14 and U13 team. Let's avoid ECNL as that topic has been discussed plenty already. I for one am interested in opinions of others.Clubs like SDFC for example have a good U13 team but an average U14 team. Whereas SJ Elite have a good U14 team but an average U13 team. Thoughts anyone?
I hate to admit it, but i really only trust that PDA will come out strong for sure next year. I hope there will be one or two others, but how do know? I would like to have another option to shoot for, but has to be mid to northern part of state or WC to keep within reason. My daughter is an 03 and very strong player that I believe will be good enough for any top 5 team. I assume PDA will lose more than half the team and 80 percent of their starters - so spots should be open. Who else? Help?
416PM - you looking for your daughter to stay with other 03's or would move up with 02 be an option????
I want to stay 03, if the club and team will compete for the long run, through high school recruitment years. I think an option will be to stay 02 with current team and wait it out till freshman year. The problem is that everyone is scarambling at this time, all the other club teams break up at this age and very few make the transition. I think it will be even be worse with the BYC.
I thought both PDA North teams were 50/50 split between '02's and 03's? Regardless, tryout season is going to be crazier than ever with everyone re-shuffling.
It is really exhausting reading this post and it is only about like 2% of all girls soccer at this age like no other teams in the state matter. There are so many other good teams/programs and instead of trying to create this elite category group of teams that just keep playing each other over and over, and those teams recruiting players from the middle of the pack town teams, they should really focus on a diverse product that is competitive throughout the state. And don't even get me started on the cost of all the BS EDP tournaments that do nothing but provide a high price tag for less games. If I was coaching, why would I want to spend $1000 on a tourney for 3 games. That is ludicrous. And the scary part is you all think you are elite soccer programs- yet no more special or talented than many town teams. Let's all go out and waste money for a name. And holy crap- I am so tired of not good enough British and Dutch players coming over and making a mockery of our youth soccer. I love listening to the kids make fun of them. So when did England last win the women's World Cup? Or Olympics? Yet there men come over here? Go ahead lost sheep and flock to all the nonsense and watch them continue to steal your money and feel free to blast this rant.
pearls of wisdom in the early hours of the am.
Let's hope she catches up on some sleep before she has a breakdown.
@233 I said 'parent' not player.Reading comprehension can be fun.
2:46am was up early. Did it ever occur to you that perhaps some of the foreign coaches you criticized were the ones who helped develop those players to play on the National team to win a World Cup? No need to tar everyone with the same brush. There are plenty of poor American coaches out there, and plenty of poor foreign coaches. Do your homework and don't join a team or club with a poor coach. Simple.
According to ecnl site - PDA G has 8 / 10 - 03 to 02 ratio. PDA C has 6 /12 - 03 to 02 ratio. They also have a few very good players below them, including a goalie in the NTC. Both age groups should be strong based on these numbers. How many starters on sdfc are 03? This may be a great option for another strong 03 team. They should merge with crush, tsf, sta -that would be a nice club and lots of great players merging. I have heard rush/rage will stay together and go 02 next year.
Seriously folks you know your an obsessed with this blog if your posting at 3am in the morning, even posting late at night or early morning is a little crazy to me. What do you people do wake up first thing in the morning to catch up on the drama. I'm happy with the club my daughter is at and doesn't matter how things will shape up come fall as it's going to take a year or so for everything to settle in with the BYC. Tryouts will once again be a bigger horse and pony show this time as many of the coach's for the top club teams already know who they want if they decide to come and join the club. I do like what PF is doing and think it's a great idea but I'm sure they will know players interested already and whom they want when tryout's come and I'm sure they have already been contacted by several parents as well, same goes for PDA and others. If your happy with the current coach just stay and wait it out a year but if your not then look to see mid-season next winter when things shake out. Just my opinion.Mr. Opinion!
Does Mr. Opinion get paid by PF to shill for them?Do your homework folks. Instead of paying money to go to arranged events, you can get permission from your coach to contact clubs and attend actual practices for free. Talk to the parents, talk to the kids, and you should be able to determine what the best path for your child is.Good luck.
12:53pm Yeah I bet Mr. Opinion's daughter is one of the mean kids on the team as well. But do agree with his/her statement as many of the coaches/parents already have feelers out. The play days are pre-tryouts. lol
What pay event? Are you talking about PF's player ID sessions?
administator, please remove the post at 1:27pm from the Continental FC parent as it again calls 13 year old girls "mean" and violates the boards rules of behavior
I thought the PF "mean girls " chased the girl away to PDA ?
How do you know that's a CFC parent?
First off, the whole PF to PDA "chasing off" was a u12 thing not u13. I don't want to open that back up because it's a discussion that shouldn't take place at all, but if it did, it should take place on the U12 board not this one. The CFC parent simply took that unrelated issue as an opportunity to swat at his daughter's age group at PF. He's targeting a player(s) that he's got a personal vendetta(s) against, which is sad because she's just a 12 or 13 year old. Sad really
I thought it has already been established that the player who left and went to PDA was a u12 playing up with the U13 at PF . Which then brought out the jealousy and nastiness in the other PF players .
Let's all go to PDA and/or PF!!!They must be the only clubs in the region. The parents must be very proud to make their claims on an anonymous board with zero accountability.Well done.
4:21I agree! There are plenty of clubs, teams, parents and players scrambling to navigate the upcoming changes. We don't want these changes resulting in personal attacks, especially on players by frustrated parents. The frustration is created US Soccer and should be directed towards them not little girls.
Does this CFC parent happen to be a former PF parent?
that would explain a lot wouldn't it?
449 Of course only way to get inside info than to be a former parent.
That guy creates more drama than any youth girls team combined hands down!!
So now PF is trying to throw other teams under the bus ! Way to keep it classy PF ! News Flash a lot of teams and their parents are aware of your toxic environment .
No. To clear it up.. PDA Galaxy 16 moved to PF last season I believe. Not the other way around.
That CFC Parent must be immature as to have against these 2 PF girls. They are both remarkable athletes and probably better than his own, as he is jealous.
Let's get back to informative things, as this blog was absent for a while and now back up. What is everyone's thoughts about Jeff Cup brackets and should be an interesting top bracket is loaded with great teams.
5:39 must be the Daddy of the average PF player. If she was as good as you're trying to convince yourself she is then she would be at PDA
6:09you're doing it again! dragging players back into it! you were exposed for attacking specific players. They have every right to defend themselves, so unless you want them to name you and your daughter personally, which it sounds like they can, I suggest you crawl awayno one other than you is acting out of line
Go away PF Daddy . This board has had enough of your BS!
sorry, arrogant child attacker. Just a soccer mom defending someone else's kid. I'm actually surprised no one else has had the willingness to do so. Bad people takeover only when good people do nothing.
PF dad? Shouldn't you be saying CFC dad? You should.
soccer is a world of acronyms so let's call him the CACFC dad and see who guesses the acronym
Try to keep it classy PF.
again, not a PF parent or a supporter just a soccer mom calling a cyber bullying adult out on his labeling of children by assigning him an appropriate label
7:00Coconut abusing continental FC dad, got it
6:09 Why even bother attacking a kid.. The two girls 16( PDA to PF) and 8 (SJEB to PF) are remarkable players and shouldn't be talked negatively about. They will both go far, and there is nothing your nasty mouth can do about it.
Child abusing Continental FC dad?
7:14 Agreed! Great players. Negative mouthing is not correct and will not change them as a player.
@ 7:15Confused anteater
6:07 6:09. YupReally it started by the envy and child attacking behavior of parents at the town team she left. She was attracting all the attention from PF at some PF sessions for outsiders. The other parents on her old team have been plotting a PF future for their much more marginal kid for some time. They went crazy with envy and fear of what their team would be if yet another player left. A backfired attempt to coerce her stay, to make their kids more marginal talents and team look better, made her leave earlier than planned (this teams and theses parents have pulled similar stunts in the recent past leaving them stuck in small sided land as they have too few to play 11 v 11). This led to an awkward situation at PF as to how to put a new player on the roster in the middle of the year. Surely, some were threatened and cool. Some won't include those outside their clique in plays and passes. others were known to her from past teams. Basically PF didn't feel any urgency in the middle of the winter to put her on the roster and waited too long. They were surprised when she didn't wait.Anyway morale of the story. Merit over manual tips in the long run.
Lol that auto correct. Merit over manipulation.
Omg what??? Is this the former PF now CFC? Or former PF now PDA?
What constitutes a town team? Please give an example of a PA town team?
This blog just shows how all you ECNL teams are pure evil, the only club I would consider is PDA and if my daughter doesn't make it there than she us staying put. All you other ECNL teams seem to be an absolute chaotic mess.
7:37I think everyone got confused by a story that started on the U12 blog about a U12 player that left a PA town team and tried training with a PF u12 and/or a PF u13 team during the fall/winter months. That player was never actually on a PF team but was "feeling things out" at training sessions. That player ended up going to PDA Lyon(we think)and not a PF team. The CFC dad used that entire unrelated drama and spun it into a story about a few current U13 PF players that he has an unhealthy vendetta against. That's why he's been labelled as a "Child-Attacking-CFC" dad.Soccer mom
7:37, I completely agree but you could only have figured that out if you read the U12 blog before the posts were deleted. I just re-read your post and it's spot on. The PA town team started the drama on the U12 board and CACFC dad brought it onto the U13 board.
Agree it's the '03 parents looking at both blogs and attacking and posting kids #'s on here. I can forsee many disgruntled parents come after May 's tryouts.
All the drama started when one mom started bragging about her own daughter moving to PDA u12 as an amazing new striker who was playing up for some pa club. When she was called out she admitted being from PF and then went on to blaim other girls on the team for her daughters problem. When you come on a blog and start bragging about a single player, who is new to a team, you know that is a parent. This parent then went on and accused other kids, teams, clubs and coaches for her problems. But again, it all stared with het post about her amazing striker.
At least she got the blog talking again. lolCan't blame her for expressing herself though.
With respect to the “Town Team” question above, which is a good one, “Town Team” is a term not often used in PA, MD or points south. The term likely originated in baseball where amateur teams represented specific geographic areas and players were restricted to playing for teams where they lived (see Little League Baseball rules). A good explanation of town team soccer can be found at http://www.massclubsoccer.com/town-or-club-soccer/In general, I believe a town team is a team that is a community based team that may be affiliated with or otherwise directly or indirectly supported by a specific municipality, school district, or consortium of municipalities, or has a geographic relationship with those entities. Preference for roster positions may be given to residents of the municipality and registration fees may be reduced for residents, or non-residents pay a premium. However, these residency restrictions are becoming less used. Traditionally, a town team played locally and did not travel like a club team. I believe that Lower Merion, Upper Dublin, and Rose Tree might be examples of “town teams” in PA. Parkland, Penn Legacy and HMMS are clubs that appear to have grown from a town team model. All the clubs named here serve as a feeder system of sorts for a local public high school and perhaps a sister parochial school.
@ 8:02: Once again, I'm not the parent of the child. You sound like the same deusiona parent who got bent out of shape on the u-12 blog because people were discussing the movement of a promising striker. Has it ever occurred to you that she may just be that good? If you look back through the u12 blog it is apparent that MANY different voices seem to know a lot about this girl, people who may or may not have a personal interest in her. Instead of being defensive and downplaying this child with any chance you get, maybe you should do you homework as to why she, as well as both of the girls mentioned earlier (SJEB to PF and PDA to PF) have already come across the radar of collegiate coaches. Your indignation highlights your feelings of inferiority. Not everyone's child is as good as the three "golden children" that have been so heavily talked about over the past few days. Regardless of your opinions on behavior, they are three of the most dominant players in the area. So take a cue from some of the mature posters on this board and either respect the talent at hand or make an educated assessment as to why they are not good...which would come from personal experience or exposure with the girls, not hearsay. Don't just badmouth children because you are threatened by their talent. You and every other person on this blog are better than that.
8:07 Thanks for the background, but doubt it was the mom. It’s her original bitter, crazy team’s modus operandi. Looks like they wanted to get a conversation going about her path to PDA to make it look like she is difficult and unreliable, the parents are crazy. The deleted u12 posts come right out and say it.When a kid is about to move on to better things, this team starts harassing them, so that they leave early. The sudden movement causes some hiccups and some move again soon. Then the sad left behinds spread rumors about the whole course of events they just caused to try to undermine the kids and their families going forward. This has happened three times in the course of few months and the coach even got in trouble with police for his part. The culpable parents have no clue everyone is on to them.
BYC hasn't occurred yet so all you U12 parents need to go back to the U12 blog. This blog has been silent but very informative when posters decided to post things, and then all of sudden you U12 parents un-heartedly started pointing out players which began having a few respected clubs to call out each other. You have a rude awaking trying to jump from U12 to U14next year.
The mature posters o this board don't post anything about specific children ever, no matter if they are the second coming of Carli LLoyd or not. Period.
Any opinions about PF club management? They lost a different, very good striker last year for similar reasons – simply not responsive. Then another this year. I have heard others say they don’t get back to people. Their ID sessions for 03 are both on the same days as 03 ODP events – not a great choice of dates IMHO. Is their organization or lack thereof a draw back?
