What are the thoughts on the Jackson team? They played my daughter's team tough this Fall. Also might be looking at a move in the Fall.

Anonymous said...

Tough weekend for pda teams in tournament play. Something to look forward to.

Anonymous said...

Schedule for JAGS Premier is up. Some teams don't get to play against eachother because it was based on their availability. example: Rage FC Renegades could only play on Sundays because they have girls on their team now that play for other teams which still play in the South Jersey Girls Soccer League. SJEB 02' girls - looked like they were going to try and get their girls into JAGS but don't know what happened. They were knocked out of the Premier flight in the South Jersey Girls Soccer League so they picked up some great girls from surrounding clubs and went to PAGS and got them to let them in their Premier flight so they can remain playing high level teams. I think their 02' girls are better than their 01' team. Someone mentioned Jackson, I think they have a great team. I don't think they'll be one of the top 3 though from the below list.

Teams playing Premier JAGS are:
Freehold Arsenal Blue
Hamilton Wildcats FC
Jackson Gunners
Maximus FC Red
Middletown Extreme Red
PDA Crew
PDA Galaxy
Rage FC Renegades
SDFC Rage
Toms River FC Revolution

"What are the thoughts on the Jackson team? They played my daughter's team tough this Fall. Also might be looking at a move in the Fall."

Are you looking to change teams for your daughter? Which soccer league does your daughter play in?

Anonymous said...

Plays in JAGS. We are moving to Jackson in May.

Anonymous said...

Galaxy and Crew are just c and d teams financing the others.

Anonymous said...

What others? Are there more than 2 PDA girls teams at U10?

Anonymous said...

PDA has lots of teams in all age groups. Coaches and trainers split up their time and responsibilities.
pda teams play in most all the leagues throughout NJ and Region 1.

Which team is right for you? How much money do you want to spend?

Anonymous said...

Alternatives to PDA?

Anonymous said...

Find a great Club Team until U12/U13 with great coaching and training. Pay for a personal trainer (1/2 the cost of PDA), then try-out for a PDA team at U12/U13. Look at the scholarship players playing in NJ colleges. 70% PDA grown. I don't think it is worth it though until 12/13 so you can see if your daughter is truly at that level.

Anonymous said...

Sounds like a bogus statistic to me

But even if true, this is PAST PDA teams that produced that 70%

Years ago there wasnt as much competition. Now there are many choices where to place your daughter for PDA-like training AND competition.

Anonymous said...

Totally false.
With girls, always better to play and trainer with at least a few friends and as close to home as possible with a good coach/trainer until u-13 or so.
Then find the best team possible where player will get playing time(start). Do not ride the bench regradless, and do not play MS., train and run instead.
Remember scholarships are only partial(less then 1/2) and only renewed on a year to year bases.
Being a top player on a top team is the best chance with adding ODP
to that soccer resume.

Anonymous said...

I agree that participating in ODP enhances the soccer resume, but I was told by a college coach that they really only count ODP at u-15 and older. In fact he said he looks for and seeks out ODP players at that age and older.
When being recruited, ODP experience is important only if currently involved or involved in the HS years.

Anonymous said...

NJ ODP benefits from the outstanding reputation of ODP from other states. ODP is very well respected and sought by colleges, unfortunately NJ ODP is lagging.

Anonymous said...

Lets clear up a couple of things...

ODP has an outstanding reputation in other states because the soccer is different.

For instance, in Louisiana, There is no PDA, Match fit, STA, Crush etc... In fact if you have any friends in the mid-west states and told them how much you pay for soccer, they would choke and then laugh in your face! In the mid-west and most of the country, High School soccer is very important for a college career. In the North East our coach's try to deter our girls from playing High School as they dont want the girls to get hurt.

ODP is for the elite players and it is broken down into 2 groups. Knowing many of the ODP programs, they practice the girls together, but only a small portion of these girls actually get to travel to Regional/National games. Some families will travel as far as 3-5 hours one way twice a week for practice during the ON season, and will travel to the edge's of their region for games.

Now to the truth in regards to ODP and all of you (NEW JERSEY PEOPLE). ODP is trying hard to build its program in NJ. It will be very difficult as the importance of ODP here is diluted with the high level club's and their relationships with college's. You see, when your child is of age to start seriously looking at higher education, all of these top clubs have the same relationship as ODP. It makes ODP less important.

As someone posted above - College's do not care that your child played for ODP when they are 10 years old. That's why our children do not play in College showcase tourneys until they are at the High school age

Look folks, 99% of your children will not follow the path of College sports. I know your child looks great on the field now, compete's at the highest level in her age. Has some great skills compared to her friends and all the other nonsense that goes with what I am talking about. All this thinking does is deter you from the truth. The truth is, having your child in Youth Sports is so important in so many more ways, that to be narrow minded at this age will lead you down the wrong path.

At this age, make sure your child is happy. Make sure your child likes the team she is on and likes the players & Coaches. A very good example is, "Does your child do activities outside of soccer with her teammates?". Also, make sure you(the parents) are happy. This is overlooked so often that by the time you make a decision on a team (weather it be your first team, or making the switch to a new team), you realize you have made a mistake. The time and financial commitments you as parents make, dont you think you should be happy too?

Do you watch every practice? Do you go to every game?

Do you find yourself disappointed more often than satisfied with your child's play? Do you use body language on the sidelines to show your disappointment? DO YOU REPRIMAND YOUR CHILD IN THE CAR RIDE HOME?????

DONT DO THAT!!!!!! What purpose does it server? Do you think your child goes to a game or practice and says to themselves I feel like doing bad today... Come on now!

Be positive to your child...ALWAYS! Cheer them on! Be their biggest fan! Tell them the good things they do! I swear in the long run, you and your child will benefit! Tell them they were great and then you can melt at the smiles they give you!

Have a wonderful season!

Dr. Phil,
On tv at 4pm, the rec team is down the street.

From one that has gone through it, there is nothing more exciting then watching your daughter play college soccer. 10:39 above is close, but build that soccer resume.

Anonymous said...

Informative Post 10:40, thanks!

11:10 - You sound like one of those parents that the 10:40 is talking about.

Unless you kid is going to a local college, good luck seeing their games live. From one that is going through it right now!

I hate negative comments... If you have one... keep it to yourself! No need to poison this blog!

Anonymous said...

You dont have to try out for PDA. If your daughter is good enough, they will find her, feed you the we are best stuff and you will get all starry eyed.

What PDA doesn't want you to know, How many girls that goto College from PDA actually played for PDA at the younger ages? NONE! That's right, they might play for PDA when they are 15 or 16, but if your daughter plays for PDA now, you have NO CHANCE! You have a better chance of being on a PDA team when it matters by waiting!

Thats what makes me laugh about all you parents flocking to PDA! Bad move!

Anonymous said...

By the time you add up the fees and all the extras, and pay for the players that play for free. WOW!

Already paid for that partial scholarship.
Goes for most clubs , not just pda that is the most.
Keep track of those extras. Might be tax deductible.

Anonymous said...

No pda forfeits this weekend.
Just saying.

Anonymous said...

Your daughter didn't get cut this weekend

Anonymous said...

Thats what makes me laugh about all you parents flocking to PDA! Bad move!"

So tell me what teams have a better trainer than the main PDA team at this age group.

I would like to know because this coach is not just good , he's exceptional.

Anonymous said...

NJ Force/Crush have the best coaches and trainers at a fraction of the costs. Even Toms River at this age group is exceptional.
Jackson is great and Middleton has one of the most cost effective training out there.

"Look , I am 6'5" my wife 5'10" and both collegian athletes, so when little girl gets to be 12 or so there will be no challenge. Soccer is becoming like other sports, great little super stars just run out of good genetics. Sorry."

Silly comment. Beckham's father was a pipe fitter. Messi's a factory worker. In the history of the NFL 197 fathers and sons have played. Think about that in the context of how many thousands of players have been in the NFL. If it were as simple as you suggest, then perhaps you can start a stud farm and breed a master race. Although, last time someone tried that it ended really badly.

Anonymous said...

Wrong again.

Go ahead a pay pda all that money now. Yes she has to survive being more tech then the bigger/stronger girls, but has a glass ceiling. The number of small girls on top level teams falls drastically at u-13.

It is ok because SoccerCare is coming

Must have at least 20% undersized players on active roster. No double card cheating.

Anonymous said...

Get a job you loser and stop worrying about everyone else in other age groups. You will also be able to get better training for your daughter that got cut years ago.
Just saying

Anonymous said...

12:31 - then how do you explain NCAA Women's National Champ's UNC diminutive's roster size? 10 players 5'4" and under with 5 of them standing a stately 5'2".

??????

Anonymous said...

Do the real research and find out a little more about the great UNC.

UNC does not give out soccer scholarships- zero. Some do get academic and some get FA, but no soccer athletic scholarships. No partials either-no money at all.

UNC carries a roster size of 27-34
girls at any given time. Most of these are practice squad roster spots. UNC has such a high demand for girls soccer that most are just glad to be a part and practice only. These roster spots turn over every year for obvious
reasons.
Now look at the starters. Yes, 2 are under 5'4".

I know UNC very well. Been to many games watching my daughter on the bench. She loved it though. She is under 5'4" so it is real to her.

Anyone know when the PDA Spring Challenge brackets will be announced? Looking forward to warmer weather and some good soccer for our kids. Good luck to all this season!

Anonymous said...

PDA STILL RIGGING THE SCHEDULES. BE OUT MONDAY AFTER THEY SEE WHOM IS REALLY GOOD THIS WKD

Anonymous said...

Boy PDA guy..you really are a jerk. What are you getting from coming on this blog, where people come to talk about soccer, and polluting it with your obvious hatred of PDA. Keep it to yourself and hate them in private.

Anonymous said...

Let him be, it is actually more fun to see him suffering from being cut and how hurt he is. Maybe he will find out his wife is cheating on him because he is such a loser and then will spend the next 10 years haunting the guy.
Just saying as he likes to say on every blog!

Anonymous said...

Why isn't the schedule out ? Maybe he has a point. hmmmm........

But it is their tournament and they can do what they want. I guess no card checking either. Who cares if a coach has a card or not. pda sure does not care. Can't afford to forfeit more games because of little things like cards and ages and such.

Anonymous said...

Volunteer mom field Marshall says it is ok. I know her and she is of age, Let's play soccer.

By the way, most pda mom's that volunteer do it because they have to. Part of their child playing for free. MUST volunteer.

Anonymous said...

When was the last time you saw a tournament schedule come out 3 weeks in advance you JA. Look for the schedule by the Monday before the tournament and final changes by Wednesday.

Couple of new faces at PDA U10. Lets see who will cry when their kids gets pushed to the B team. Oh, No discount in price. Thanks for supporting the A team! We appreciate your money.
Where did they steal these players from?

Has anyone ever asked the question, WHY DONT YOU TRAIN YOUR OWN PLAYERS? Such a BS club!

Anonymous said...

No one plays for free at pda at u-10. The FREE play starts around u-12,u-13 when they need to keep certain players.

Anonymous said...

I think PDA does a great job of training their players. They are technically sound and pass the ball well. They are also pretty quick. All clubs will have turnover and I am sure some recruit. Instead of bashing, why not recognize the fact that you are talking about 9 and 10 year olds who are still developing. A Mia today may not be the same Mia in 4-5 years from now. Relax and let your kid enjoy soccer.

Anonymous said...

Congrats to Rage FC for winning their Jefferson Cup bracket and playing in today's final. Good luck!

A non-Rage parent but supporter of NJ U10G teams (when we don't play you LOL)

Anonymous said...

Rage wins ! A great wkd for NJ teams at Jefferson Cup. Well worth the trip and expense. Played on wonderful fields and had very good refs. Transportation to and from fields provided by Jeff Cup was always on time.Free luncheon was awesome.

Anonymous said...

pda has poor showing at Jefferson Cup in all age brackets.
just saying

Anonymous said...

To the 8:08 poster, no one cares.

Anonymous said...

Why is it news when pda loses or does something bad ? So, if pda did not play well or lost, no big deal.

Anonymous said...

Not playing well is better then forfeiting. So good for pda for having all the paper work done correctly. Lets see if they are casual with other teams at their own tourney? What difference can one or two uncarded guest players make anyway. Not like they are 12 ?

Anonymous said...

You're a weirdo

Anonymous said...

What is with the venom toward PDA? It's become obsessive-compulsive and it has no place in a U10 forum. Leave it for the higher age brackets where it means more to people to bash each other. Let the kids enjoy soccer regardless of their team.

Anonymous said...

A little uncomfortable when the curtain is pulled back?

Lots of potentially good teams and clubs at this age. We will see when it really starts to count at u-13.

Anonymous said...

Oh, come on above poster!

This is the "my kid is on pda" - I love pda"
My kid is not on pda" - "I hate pda" Message boards.

If this is new to you, please go check out the other age groups.

And to the way above poster. PDA is just fine talking about their wins. Where they are lacking in talking about, is their sub-average results, and this is where we help a little. :-)

Dont worry, when the girls get older, the list of teams that get bashed on this board expands to several more teams. Good times!

Anonymous said...

Why check out the other age groups unless you have kids at that age group or you are a loser like you. Would luv a view into your sad world. You need to get a life.

Anonymous said...

Dad coaches at pda? what's up with that?

Anonymous said...

Daddy, she is really nice to me, can she start? Please Daddy please.

Anonymous said...

LOL, ok idiot at 9:46pm

It was to show that at every age level it is what it is! And that is what it will be on this board.

Let me be the first to say sorry. Your daughter must be in PDA now. Why am I sorry? Because your daughter will not be when my daughter takes her spot when she is 14.

I love stupid parents, keep it coming!

U10 a little young to see it, but come, um, U11, PDA keeps their eyes out for new blood. They say it keeps their teams fresh! I agree! When the time is right, I will bring my daughter to PDA!

Oh, and when you read this and say, This is about U10 girls soccer, you have to be nice. This board is for U10 Girls PARENTS, not 1 U10 girl will ever read this blog, unless their parents are fools!

There is no factory that makes outstanding PDA trainers. They are the same trainers that most of these top clubs offer.

Once again:
This is the "my kid is on pda" - I love pda"
My kid is not on pda" - "I hate pda" Message boards.

You want a serious soccer conversation, you wont find it here! Everyone is anonymous, that should be the first hint! This board is to bash everyone else's team without them ever finding out what team your child plays for. I might not even have a U10 player. I might just be bored! :-)

Anonymous said...

pda tournament collects from all it's teams. No free entrance, even pda teams pay the fee. Designed money maker.
Ever wonder why elite teams avoid pda tournament?

Anonymous said...

3:42 - if your club is so great, why leave that club and take your kid to PDA?

Brian O said...

Which U10g elite team is avoiding the PDA tournament?

Anonymous said...

Why even go to pda at u-14. If team and player are doing well, no need to leave. pda has nothing more to offer if already playing R1. Most of the top teams in the country are Regional league play.
Now if you had a son I would say
run, do not walk, directly to RED BULLS, but on the girls side, need to play R1 or a top ecnl team.does not matter. Even put R1 ahead of ecnl right now, ecnl has not met expectations.

Anonymous said...

Brian O asked which U10G elite team avoiding PDA. I bet its the World Class U10's. World Class entered in every age bracket except but U10. Also I've heard they have a reputation for ducking better competition. They bagged JAGS and are now in a NY league.

Anonymous said...

6:06 I am not leaving my club. This is a U10 blog, and I said at U14. Who knows if my child will be playing at U14. Who knows if she is will be good enough! My kid is so happy on her team, and we have some great parents too!

I completely agree with 6:49. Everyone of these top level clubs can offer your child the opportunity to continue their soccer career after high school, if your child is good enough!

Now, my son is a chubby little devil, not a soccer player but an above average 12 year old catcher with an above average bat! I would love for him to get involved in intramural soccer just for the exercise value, so I dont see Red Bulls in his future!

Anonymous said...

Yes, every one of the top level clubs can offer a kid the opportunity to continue their soccer careers after high school .... which is why people go to these clubs. It doesn't make sense to bash them.

To the poster complaining about PDA not developing its players: did it ever dawn on you that your kid may be not developing because of HER biology, maturity, mental acuity, etc? Do you expect any coach to sprinkle magic pixie dust on a player and POOF! Instant Mia!! It doesn't work that way for ANY COACH of ANY CLUB!

Anonymous said...

It has been 17 wkds since pda had to forfeit some games for card issues. Let's see what happens at their own tournament.

Anonymous said...

So in the middle of a tournament, a pda coach picks up and bolts. leaves.
abandon the team at Jeff Cup. u-10 or u-11?

Anonymous said...

Nice job pda,
Coaches running out on the team in the middle of a tournament, coaches lying and hiding from team, coaches having carding issues, and now some teams having Daddy coaches.

I guess I just don't get it?
what am I missing?

Anonymous said...

PDA IS THE BEST !!!!!!

Anonymous said...

2:46 poster, you are missing a screw.

Anonymous said...

Actually 2:46 is correct. PDA coach did leave, I believe it was U11 coach. They had another one on the sidelines, but what I had heard, the Coach left with his daughter so she can play in a very important Basketball tourney. Also heard another was out way past his bedtime and showed up late or something like that.

Oh my god, PDA is just like the rest of the clubs. Who would have thought!

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know anything about the Allendale Americans Blue Angel team at this age? My daughter's team might meet them in the Semi-finals of the NJ Cup. If they all get there.

Anonymous said...

Not a World class parent...but I think the reason they aren't in JAGS anymore is that they are technically based out of NY anyway so why not be in the NPL's NY league...I think they keep there girls playing 8 v 8 after U10's which is better off anyway... I wish my daughter's team would do that and play a select amount of games in like PAGS as well as some JAGS...

Anonymous said...

For the person moving to Jackson, if your daughter is an excellent player, you should look into the Jackson Gunners. That would be the closest elite premier playing team for you. Other options in 'not so crazy' driving distances would be Freehold Arsenal Blue in Freehold, NJ or the Hamilton Wildcats in Hamilton, NJ. Both of those teams are excellent teams as well which play at the highest level and within a 20-25 min drive.

Anonymous said...

I'd say contact all 3 coaches and attend practices to see where you're daughter feels most comfortable and which coaches she seems to like the best, and of course her level of play would have to be there as well.

Anonymous said...

I think World Class's fall JAGS record speaks for itself:

Lost to PDA Galxy 4-1
Tied Middletown Extreme Red 0-0
Lost to Rage FC 4-1
Lost to Jackson Gunners 3-1
Tied SDFC 0-0

It can't bode well for an ECNL club's team to go winless against some pretty good NJ teams. There are plenty of weak NY teams that will allow them get some wins.

Galaxy, Gunners, and Extreme Red are in the PDA tournament. World Class has entered teams in all age brackets for PDA except U10. It sure looks like World Class is ducking talented teams.

Anonymous said...

PDA Magic won their first round NJ Cup Game. Anyone know the outcome of the Cherry Hill Game?

Anonymous said...

Cherry Hill Destroyers beat Harrison Extreme (which I never heard of) 6 to 0. SJEB o2' is to play the Cherry Hill Destroyers at their next game. That should be an interesting game.

Anonymous said...

How is PDA Magic compared to PDA's other teams, Galaxy and Crew? PDA Magic is scheduled to play Rage FC Premier Renegades who tied PDA Galaxy last season 2-2. PDA Galaxy and Hamilton Wildcats just tied 2-2in their league game on Saturday.

Anonymous said...

Magic is worst of the bunch. Renegades are very good and Crew will be awesome once they get rid of Daddy coach. Galaxy solid.

Anonymous said...

Jackson teaming up with NJSA 04??

Anonymous said...

yeah...what is that about Jackson teaming up with NJSA 04? Are they going to wear NJSA 04 uniforms and have to pay more money now to train?? lol. I don't get why it's necessary unless Jackson is hoping they'll keep their talented players as they get older if they are part of 'NJSA 04'

Anonymous said...

and OMG, I can't believe PDA had a daddy coach. That's ridiculous. I thought people pay to stay away from that.

Anonymous said...

pda has Daddy coaches so their daughters can play. same old same old
as other clubs, just costs more.

I mean think about it, daughters do not pay to play because Daddy coaches and get all the playing time along with her friends.

pda is learning a big lesson lately and exactly why a third ecnl club is in NJ now. Probably have four by 2015.

pda watering down but making money with full time staff employees and administrators and of course all those directors. $$$$$$

Anonymous said...

Crew has a mid-20s single FEMALE coach. No Daddy coach.

Anonymous said...

At least we are not talking about pda having to forfeit games for carding issues anymore. Daddy coaches ? well pda only has 11 Daddy coaches throughout their system in girls. Not allowed with the boys? I wonder why?

Anonymous said...

You need to stop. If you are not at PDA why do you care? Did Bustamante cut your kid? Yes Bustamante coaches his own kid but he's also head womens soccer coach at Rutgers-Newark. Why don't you go over to MatchFit and get your kid playing there. If she is that good she'll catch onto another good team. So much animosity toward PDA is ridiculous. Makes me wonder if you treat your family members with the same hatred and venom. I hope not.

Anonymous said...

Exactly, how much time is given to team? Actually other Daddys coach and train that team most of the time.

Most Daddys have jobs. But it does sound good to have a satellite Rutgers coach coaching your 10 year old team.
Just where I want my daughter to go to school and play soccer. Rutgers -Newark.
Not same Daddy PDA coach that left team in Jeff Cup in middle of tournament? or Daddy coach that tries to coach TWO pda teams.
Been to downtown Newark lately?

Anonymous said...

The kid probably tanked at PDA intentionally just to get her psycho parent off her back.

Anonymous said...

PDA will work through this.

Anonymous said...

HAHAHA he's pissed his kid got cut by the Rutgers coach. So where did your kid end up? GAK?

Anonymous said...

9:20 who is the 3rd ECNL club in NJ? PDA and now MatchFit are the only 2 in NJ. ?????

Anonymous said...

at what age does ecnl start? With the 11 Daddy coaches at pda , I wouldn't think it starts until u-14 or u-15?
And is it true that their are No Academies in girls youth soccer?

Parents got a refund from tournament that Daddy coach bolted? and a refund for Daddy coach forfeiting for carding issues.
Daddy coach? Daddy coachES at pda

Just say pda made some mistakes? just saying

Anonymous said...

ok I'll bite. pda made some mistakes.

out of 11 pda Dadday coaches, two are good and one a college coach also.

Daddy coach at pda that left team at tournament should never be allowed to coach anymore. Parents should get refund from pda.

pda coaches carding issues and forfeiting games. Well, need better coaches that are trained about the rules and regs. Inexcusable, and again should never be allowed to coach.

So pda made some mistakes that outside people know about. Should have kept it all in house and no one would have known.

So stop the Daddy coach stuff about PDA now!

Anonymous said...

Match Fit now an ecnl club?

Amazing, just in the nick of time for us.

Anonymous said...

PDA still the best and always will be. Match Fit bought their way into ecnl. Means nothing, we might just raise our fees just to thumb everyone. PDA is premium soccer and premium cost more.

Anonymous said...

Not a MatchFit parent, but I think they deserve to be in ECNL. They have many young girls on the US younger teams as well as PDA. Great training leads to great things.

Anonymous said...

I see the changes really hurting pda.

Apparently ecnl is still upset with pda from last year's fiasco at the Showcase tourney. There have been many meetings to rectify the situation , but it looks like ecnl did not take the bs from pda.

Match FIT now being promoted by ecnl

Anonymous said...

I think it's great. I think MatchFit is less costly as well. If they would start a girls team in the Princeton area, I would so look into it. Both PDA north and MatchFit is just too far of a drive for me to handle when I have to work. :-/ MatchFit is good for their boys teams in the Princeton area. Maybe that'll change! =)

Anonymous said...

Match Fit having FREE tryouts for girls ecnl teams next month. Free Tshirt, and will credit any pda fee already paid pda if offered roster spot. Come one, come ALL!

Anonymous said...

wait...why stress "FREE" tryout?? Does PDA charge for their ECNL tryouts???

Anonymous said...

Probably just one of the extra fees at pda. There are plenty, and it adds up. $$$$$

Anonymous said...

Match Fit was great before ecnl. Probably have three and four teams in each age group now. If you are in the NORTH MF the place to be.

Anonymous said...

The PDA hater is from nix, he can't help himself.
Has nothing to do with u10, daughter was cut and beat by older group for years. May take him a while to respond as he trolls over blogs and looks for his wife who is out and about.
Just saying

Anonymous said...

Matchfit has produced excellent players over the years. With so many teams in NJ it makes sense to have 2 ECNL teams just like the Philly area and Long Island. Their presence will only enhance NJ soccer nationally as it tries to compete with TX and CA. Also may help contribute to even more national women's team players. Didn't the last women's World Cup team have 5 from NJ?

I thought Matchfit was more expensive that PDA. I bet it all evens out at the end of the soccer season.

Anonymous said...

Why is the crazy parent's kid at NJX? Didn't the crazy parent take the kid to Matchfit or World Class tryouts? Better yet, with crazy' parent's ego, why didn't the crazy parent create a new team so their kid could be the star? Crazy would have to pay a coach though - can't have a parent coach. I volunteer the name "Psycho 02/03" for the new team's name!

Anonymous said...

wait...I must have missed something. Who is the crazy parent? Why a crazy parent, what happened??

Don't be a jerk

The PDA coach that "left duringa tournament"

a - was not the head coach

b - had a prior commitment

If you really feel every coach, assistant and player should be at every second of every practice and game...well...........

good luck with your time in youth soccer.......

most of us are more reasonable, even in our dedication to being present 99% of the time. 33166

Wow- What really happened?

The pda coach flat out lied to the team. L I E D ! , everyone wants to dance around the word lied, but that is what happened. He lied.
Got to tournament late and missed the Friday night meeting, went out drinking and left Saturday during the tournament.

So give the guy a brake, he might need some help. But pda ? NOT

Anonymous said...

Anyone know what the score was for this past Saturday's game -- Toms River vs. PDA Crew?

Anonymous said...

anyone know the score from Saturday's game Toms River vs. PDA Crew??

Anonymous said...

I heard AA could help that PDA coach.
Not only helps the drinking part, but helped my brother with the lying. Shame on PDA.

Any sponsors out there?

With all these changes in the soccer landscape, what will happen next? any thoughts?
Actually I am not to far from PA, and am considering a 15 minute drive.
PAGS?

Anonymous said...

4-0 Crew.

Any other scores?

Anonymous said...

We scared the jerk away for now! LOL
He's harassing the other age groups' blogs.

Anonymous said...

Thank goodness we scared the crazy poster away. That person has mental issues. The obsession is nuts!

I think the additional of MF to ECNL is good for NJ soccer. It should force teams to step up because the risk of losing great players to ECNL teams has now doubled. There are now two choices for our area.

Know nothing about PAGS but would kill for a 15 minute commute.

Anonymous said...

Not sure how Toms River wound up in a top flight in JAGS. They were knocked out of the Premier flight in MOSA.

From previous post 2-2 PDA Galaxy vs. Hamilton Wildcats

Other past weekend scores?

Jackson beat Freehold in NJ Cup. 2-0.
Anyone know how Middletown Red did in their NJ cup game today?

Anonymous said...

More Daddy coaches needed at pda to keep costs down . PDA has 11 Daddy coaches now , but if we get to 15 Daddy coaches, pda fee will be reduced by $200 a player.
must commit to coaching a full weekend at tournaments , but only 1 highly training a week.

Anonymous said...

Middletown Extreme Red won 6 - 0.
Heard the Head coach though is leaving the team since her daughter is leaving soccer to pursue gymnastics. She'll definately be missed I'm sure b/c I heard she was an execellent coach. Also heard that their Extreme Red team and White teams will be combining, obviously their strongest players. Extreme Red is already a solid team.

Anonymous said...

What is everyone doing for the summer? Summer select? Camps? Any recommendations for camps?

Anonymous said...

11:48 - Is the head coach the screaming lady coach I've heard about on the sidelines? Yes they are a good team. Combining Red and White? Why? Do their prices go up at U11 and they expect to lose some players?

Any other scores from this past weekend?

Anonymous said...

I wonder why PDA Galaxy isn't doing the NJ cup. They're a great team. I guess they feel it's not that important at this age group? I think playing in the cup is great because it teaches and prepares the children's minds for what is to come in the next few years. My daughter is super excited.

Anonymous said...

Yes! The screaming lady...hahaha. Their prices not going up...they are not an 'academy like' team...but since the coach is leaving with her daughter, that's one player down, and at U11 it goes full sided, so every team needs to add on a few more players.

Anonymous said...

My daughter does the Red Bulls RDS residential. It's awesome and she loves it because all the players are all at the same high level as she is. You have to try-out in order to get in. Tryouts are this weekend if they didn't participate last year.

Anonymous said...

What's up with JAGS not posting scores that have been reported?

Anonymous said...

Who did Middletown play

Anonymous said...

Middletown played a team called Northern Valley Griffonetti. Never heard of them. They are probably not a premier level team.

Anonymous said...

just flipping through some of the other ages. depending where you are Red Bulls RDS is a joke. my MAPS daughter was very excited to have made the cut until she found out that her MOSA Nat 1 friend also made it. they took anyone that was willing to write a check. so much for "the same high level"

Anonymous said...

A Mosa Nat 1 player on level with a "MAPS" player?

Say it aint so!!!!!!!!

Good Lord.

Anonymous said...

My daughter used to play MOSA premier, now we switched teams and play in the highest level of JAGS. The team she switched off of now dropped to MOSA National 1 which is only one flight below premier. At this age there can be girls playing on National 1 flights or lower flights than JAGS Premier that could be playing on High level teams and have the talent and potential..But if they aren't proactive now and look to move teams at U11..it'll make a differnce later on. I'm confused why your child would be upset that her own friend made it.

Anonymous said...

To the Jackson Red Devils coach from a PDA parent: Several of us thought your verbal behavior toward your team during our game was awful. We all have been on either sides of blowout and it is not pleasant for anyone. But to verbally yell and put down your 10 year old girls was not productive or conducive to get better play out of your team. It was embarrassing and we felt bad for your girls and their parents. I hope you will consider more positive and encouraging verbal comments to your team in the future. All of our girls are still working on skills and development at this age bracket regardless of club or location and IMHO negative comments does nothing but embarrass ALL of us.

Anonymous said...

Best o stay out of other clubs' business..... however right you think you may be....

Anonymous said...

Not getting invoked. But I do feel compelled to say something on behalf of those who cannot speak up (the players) and those who may not want to make waves (the parents). Primarily the players. I don't think public denigration at this age level is warranted (especially when it can be heard clearly across the field by all). You feel for the girls.

Anonymous said...

I feel for the pda girls that were left by their coach at a tournament. Coach bolted, lied, then left.

I feel for the pda girls that forfeited games because pda coach did not have proper credentials.

I feel for the pda girls that are coached by pda Daddy coaches.

just sayin

pda should clean their own house first.

Anonymous said...

Sounds like they already did!

Anonymous said...

okay everyone....now that people have released their stress....

Has anyone's children ever done UK elite soccer camps??

Anonymous said...

And people wonder why Match Fit has ecnl now. MF the new rising star in NJ and Region.
Cheaper , but no ones plays for free like pda.

Anonymous said...

What are MF fees?

Anonymous said...

I feel bad for them too.
They have the best coach with ten times the experience of any other u10 team around. They have the best facilities. They are an awesome u10 team and will have very little compitition. They have the PDA name behind them and a great future if they stick around. And the best part, you are out of the club and at NJX. You will be making up lies about them when your daughter doesn't make the ecnl team.
Just saying

Anonymous said...

Well at least we are guaranteed the a**hole parent won't be at our tryouts. Feel bad for the rest of you. Good luck!

Anonymous said...

Who has the best fields??? PDA?? Ewkkk!I had to wash my things for days after being on those fields...that old turf with all the fake green stuff ALL OVER everything!! and black pieces, getting into everyone's eyes. Almost started fires in people dryers...

Anonymous said...

Who do people regard as the top 5-10 U10 girls teams? Any why (based on head to heads, etc). Just curious.

Anonymous said...

"Has anyone's children ever done UK elite soccer camps??"
Yes, not impressed when compared to other options. UK Elite uses that name for its training services and The Football Club of NJ for its own teams. (They used to be Everton.) My town club uses UK Elite and the quality of their trainers can really vary. They are bringing in young people from the UK for short-periods, so it's tough to see how they have consistency. If considering a camp, I'd suggest looking at the Rutger's run camps. Both PDA and the Red Bulls have nationally ranked clubs. I think that should tell you something.

MF HAVING TRYOUTS NEXT WEEK.

Anonymous said...

Any great players looking for a team for U11 in the Central NJ area, Mercer County???

Anonymous said...

Does match fit even have a u10 team?

Anonymous said...

MF actually starts at U9. The girls tryouts U-9 through U-11 are at Morris Catholic HS. Too far for me! My daughter plays on a great team now so we wouldn't change. It's a possibility in a few years though.

Anonymous said...

MF is having tryouts at Raritan HS too. Which team is that one?

Anonymous said...

oh yeah, missed that one. It's for their U11 girls 'blue' team. I'm not sure which one is their 'a' or 'b' team.

Anonymous said...

Top 5 U10 teams
1.) PDA Galaxy
2.) Rage
3.) Jackson
4.) Hamilton
5.) Tie- South Jersey and Cherry Hill

Any of the top 5 could beat eachother on any given day. Pretty competitive.

Then there is a break and then a whole bunch of other good teams that could easily be 6-10.

Anonymous said...

Would have to say RAGE is best by far. pda too small, Hamilton big, but slow. Kick and run works for them.
TR would have be to be third above Jack and pda
Seen all play.

Anonymous said...

I will give you that Hamilton is a good team, fairly even with Jackson because of size and physical play, but Tom's River over Jackson? TR has never beaten Jackson and the average goal differential is 5. Nothing wrong with a small, but well trained team at this age. PDA is far better than TR as well.

Anonymous said...

I'd say Hamilton and Middletown Extreme Red are slightly better than Jackson. PDA Galaxy, SDFC Rage, Rage FC Renegades, and Hamilton are the top. Can't place those 4 in any particular order. SJEB, good team...would place them even with Jackson, and not sure about Cherry Hill Destroyers...they are hanging just slightly below top teams. I believe they have a player or players that play with them and with Rage FC Renegades. With that being said..the next state cup game between Cherry Hill Destroyers and Rage FC Renegades should be an interesting one..LOL

Anonymous said...

OH..and WTH.. Toms River??? They are definately not a top team. They have connections to be placed in the top bracket of JAGS. lol.

Anonymous said...

Rage Renegrades is on top with SDFC,STA,Hamilton, pda and Jackson behind.

Chris said...

Without naming specific teams, a lot of these rankings don't seem to factor in head to head match ups. A simple look at past State Cup results and PDA matchups disprove a lot of these rankings.

Anonymous said...

I don't think all teams participated in state cup at u9 and you really have to pay attention to league games because you can't use guest players in league games. Or state cup, but I don't even see PDA's top U10 team playing in state cup.

Anonymous said...

Can't say Renegades is top when they tied PDA Galaxy and Galaxy tied Hamilton and Hamilton tied SDFC Rage. Would say these teams are all pretty even to me. On any given day any one of these teams could win or lose to eachother.

Anonymous said...

Renegades tie with pda should have been a Renegade 2-0 game. pda played with 8 in box and barely had a shot or two on some kick over the top runs

Anonymous said...

to 11:33 am poster
are you talking about last fall's game? well if you remember it so well, then how about pda's numerous cross bar hits. get over yourself.

Anonymous said...

Big surprise in NJ cup yesterday!!! Jackson eliminated

Anonymous said...

Did Jackson have an off-day? Missing players? Injuries? Congrats to Allendale for the win!

Anonymous said...

Who won he rage, PDA game today?
Assume it wasn't rage, or they would be backing up their above post.

Anonymous said...

Shout out to NJ Crush Flames for a nice win vs FC Maximus

Hamilton next.

Anonymous said...

Rage won, by the way, 8:37

Anonymous said...

PDA Galaxy won 6-3 and it wasn't even that close!

Anonymous said...

NJ Crush needed borrowed players to win game. Maximus were the better team.

Anonymous said...

Which Maximus team? Aren't there 2?

Anonymous said...

No team can borrow players for State Cup. and if so called players are carded with NJYS with one team and US Club with Crush..then more power to them...you know what team those girls will be staying on next season. I'd rather have my daughter's team playing stronger teams than weaker teams, so nice win Crush. and Jackson out...I kind of figured...when I seen them play last it didn't look like how I remembered them to be. If Jackson worked a bit more on getting their first touch down, I think it's help them a lot more. They still have some time, especially with their new training system from NJSA 04 coming through next season for them.

Anonymous said...

State cup roster can be different from league team roster.

Anonymous said...

Absolutely! So no hating on teams guys. Players can only play for one team for state cup. =)

Anonymous said...

Looks like the Maximus A team, they move up to top flight of jags. They have no scores posted yet Jags wwbsite and have 4 tough games on schedule coming up. I think they may struggle in this flight, with exception of the other teams that moved up with them. Although it looks like rage fc and Jackson are getting weaker this year. SDFC, Hamilton, PDA are top three in no order. As for the guest players, no such thing in state cup tournament, the girls had to be carded with team and not for any other team playing in tournament.

Anonymous said...

The better team doesn't usually lose 3 to 1.
I could see a 1-1 tie, or a 1-0 loss where you control eighty percent of game and they get a lucky goal, but 3 to 1 sounds like a solid win. Nice job crush, Hamilton will be a tough comp. I predict Hamilton - SDFC final with SDFC taking the cup.

Anonymous said...

SDFC and Hamilton are both very good teams. Would be nice if SDFC had a real field, especially since they are an "academy team". I am surprised the parents stand for such a shabby playing field, for short sided anyway. If the final game is played at SDFC, I'm certain the opposing team wil be unhappy. No idea if they have any State Cups games at home, as the brackets dont say.

Anonymous said...

You guys are funny, trying to rank 9-10 year old girls. Taking this so seriously. It means nothing until high school. The girls on PDA now will not be there in 3 years, no matter what their parents post here. The clubs which are dominant now - take Havkdon for example - will not even exist by U13. Go check older EDP brackets and look. JAGS is meaningless by U12.

And to the poster who said top teams don't lose by more than 1 goal, please go check this seasons EDP scores for older groups. It happens, especially this time of year. Kids switch teams constantly, so in the spring rosters fluctuate. 13-14 yr old girls also dealing with puberty.

So all the grandiose statements on this blog about which teams are better now, especially town teams, and which clubs are bigger at this age, will be turned upside down in a few years. Go watch the PDA ECNL tryouts and then come back and report how many of those girls were there at U10.

Anonymous said...

Nobody said top teams don't lose by more than one goal. Learn how to read and see that it was also a response d.a. As for your other stupid response, go see PDA u15 girls tryouts this year, 80 plus percent have been with team and coach since u9. Any other bad wisdom you want to lay on us old man? Go troll at your own age.

Anonymous said...

TO: April 23, 2013 at 7:20 AM POST

This is the U10 blog, and we're blogging about the teams how they are NOW. No need to push the future. Geeze.

Anonymous said...

Is the Maximus team part of world class? Looks like a feeder club?

Anonymous said...

To 8:33 poster: go look at ECNL website for your U15 roster and count how many even played for PDA U13 team - 14 out of 22. Sorry buddy but that's why I said don't bother asking PDA parents for facts because they don't have any.

Anonymous said...

There you go again old man, get some glasses or learn to read. By the way, why so consumed about PDA and u10 girls blog which you have nothing to do with?
Was talking about u15 tryouts, not current u15 team.
Just like your other post, wrong.
Where does your daughter play and what age group? Tell us all about your experience and wisdom old man. Your life would be fine if your daughter didn't get cut by PDA
Just saying

Anonymous said...

Looking at his post, 14 out of 22 is very high, considering they probably had a roster of 18 at u13. What is the point?
I would think any team would want to add new talent and drop the lower. And they still have a chance to play for second team which is still pribably very good. What is all the fuss about?
Thanks

Anonymous said...

Someone mentioned that cherry hill and rage fc share some girls? What happens in statecup? What team keeps them?

Anonymous said...

Since you can only play for one team in state cup, if the girl or girls are dually carded with US Club soccer, they'd have to pick which team they're gonna play with. And I believe they'd have to play with Cherry Hill because the girl/s are first carded through them and Cherry Hill coach would have the upperhand.

Anonymous said...

Heard Jackson lost to Hamilton in their league game 2 - 0. What happened to Jackson? Does anyone know if they lost players?

Anonymous said...

Why would Hamilton beating Jackson imply Jackson lost players? They are both very good teams. Where does everyone see these results? I have looked at the JAGS website and I don't see them, although I admit perhaps I just don;t know where to look for them.

Anonymous said...

I don't see them either? From above post rage says they beat PDA and PDA says they won, guess we have to wait for real results from jags, which could be weeks or never.
Jags is horrible for many reasons.

Anonymous said...

I don't like JAGS either. Poorly run. I'm assuming someone heard that score by knowing someone. We all will just have to wait for JAGS to post scores to know for sure. Not sure Jackson losing means they lost players as they are still all top teams, but I know some of Jackson's parents had looked into other teams previously because of the coach.

Anonymous said...

Is JAGs considered the best league in NJ?

Anonymous said...

JAGS is where proven top teams from other leagues in NJ can come into to play eachother to try and get even better competition. Especially in their Premier group at U10 and then 'MAPS' group at U11 and up. They now also have EDP league which is part of the NPL that starts at U11 or some U10 teams play up U11 8v8 currently, but clubs with proven track records of developing top players have to be accepted into this league. But JAGS is mostly the same teams anyway that would play in EDP so best to stay in JAGS since it's cheaper. Plus EDP has clubs that are accepted but may not field top teams in each age group, which stinks. Just like Toms River in top flight of JAGS because of their club's overall record but current U10 team not a top team.

Anonymous said...

thanks for that info, much appreciated.

Re: Crush needed borrowed players

They are all borrowed

First year club.

Anonymous said...

I think it's great to have a club like that focused on developing soccer players who want to play at the highest level. Gives a chance to all top players from different teams that have really excelled in developing, within a capable driving distance, to all come together and play some good soccer. I hope that my daughter's team can get some interest like that at our club to add a few talented and experienced girls, because I don't want to have to look for another team in a couple years if all the girls don't excel and we don't recruit some new talent.

Anonymous said...

I don't think they are first year club, I think they were re-named like a lot of other clubs. They have a bunch of average older teams. They play in jags, maybe a bunch of double carded town club girls. They seem do be doing well.
