You MIGHT think you know what your'e talking about but the SJEB/Rush merger came way after the Real coach agreed to go to SJEB. The players already knew they were going to other clubs before the merger. While it's a benefit for the ones that ultimately decide to go to SJEB/Rush, the merger is not THE reason some of them will go there.

Anonymous said...

Teams like NJCSA, bridge water, nj crush, b elite, Parsippany should not promote themselves as top teams when they signed up for lower state cup and are avoiding the top teams.

Anonymous said...

How will SJEB/ni Rush get DA status when their club will only start at u15 but the DA will start at u14/15? The DA wants 40-50% of the team made up of the younger age group. Eventually the girls DA will go to younger ages like the boys side.

Stallions are officially done and will not win their NPL division

Anonymous said...

First, stallions have lots of games left to be played. Second top 4 make the playoff and the winner goes to NPL nationals. Winning division is not our focus. Winning the playoff and Nationals is.

Anonymous said...

Wow njys state cup bracket so unbalanced. The strong teams on top half with the weaker teams on the bottom half. Igfa and stallions set to meet in the second round. That should be the finals.

Anonymous said...

Stallions have as many game to be played as all the other teams. But they are the best team around and just have to win all the games and they will be champions. We want first place to make a statement. And NJYS cup, should be stallion's again.
Now leave us alone

Anonymous said...

Pittsgrove? I'd rather forfeit then drive 5 hours to and from a home state cup game. How is this place fair for north Jersey teams? They couldn't find a field in central Jersey?

Who stands to profit from this BS this time?

Anonymous said...

It obvious njys administrators are from the south. From the brackets to the ridiculous south jersey venues. Blatant NJ Soccer BS as always.

Anonymous said...

Freehold ripping it up in the 2nd flight.

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know anything about the DA program ... What nj teams will be involved ... Is the DA program free ... How does it affect the ECNL ... Thank you for info .

Anonymous said...

9:49- Winning the NY NPL gets you to the NPL finals. The playoffs are a 2Nd way to get there. If you go out and win the league the playoff crossover is not needed. These are 2 totally separate events.

Anonymous said...

Isnt there just the one NYCSL slot at Nationals, 11:45?

Anonymous said...

NPL and US Cup National finals are 2 totally different events.
The winner of NYCSL NPL group qualifies automatically for the NPL Finals. In addition teams can qualify for the NPL finals by winning the NY / New England NPL Crossover Cup. To qualify for the Crossover Cup you must in the top 4 for your NPL league. So 4 NY and 4 NE NPL teams will play 2 games in Mass. in late May. The semis and final are held in Mid June in NY.

The National Cup with require you to win US Club State Cup in NJ or NY or your can try to qualify by winning one of the regional qualifies in early June.

Anonymous said...

NJX Oldbridge second round of NJ cup... Who will take it? Both teams compatible..

Anonymous said...

The DA wont be free...it just economically doesn't make sense. Who would pay for it? But they will try to keep it as cost-effective as possible. But in the Northeast, we still need to practice on turf most of the year and that is expensive.

Soccerwire has written some articles on the Girls DA:
http://www.soccerwire.com/news/soccerwire-qa-u-s-soccers-april-heinrichs-dishes-on-girls-da-mallory-pugh-and-more/

I've also listened to Glenn Crocks interview April Heinrichs on Sirius XM - (you can go online to listen)and it seems some of her thoughts are changing a bit. For example, at first she wanted 1-game per weekend, now she says that geographically that doesn't make sense. She also, is now saying more subs, since there will be two games per weekend.

We don't know yet which clubs will have it. They will be applying in May. The current thinking is that throughout the country, clubs may pool their resources together at the highest levels to provide a DA, but then also have teams below the DA in the ECNL.

A lot of posturing and negotiations still need to occur. And obviously, teams working together to have a combined DA solution will be very tricky. The clubs need work together, otherwise if they all try to have a DA - it will be too diluted. It will only work if it is truly the most elite players and then have solid leagues below it.

Should be very interesting.

Anonymous said...

Which 2000 & 2001 teams will be strong next year?

Anonymous said...

Penn Fusion, East Meadow (especially if some of the HBC studs come over from region 1 ODP) Matchfit, Albertson and PDA '00 (total beastly team probably) are going to be really strong. HBC will weaken if they stay together and have to play older kids. CFC will be weak and FC Bucks similarly devastated. WC super Striker is an '00 so they will be competitive.

Anonymous said...

I disagree with Matchfit being one of the strongest teams in 01 or 00. Their NPL teams are terrible. One would argue they shouldn't even be in the NPL.

Anonymous said...

Easy run to Final of NJYS National Championship for NJ Elite

Anonymous said...

MFA u15 ECNL is not very good either.

Anonymous said...

MF teams are not good all together. Lost alot of talented players and club is ran poorly.

Anonymous said...

Run poorly, maybe. Not trained poorly. Pretty nice brand of soccer at most levels I have seen - and this is the important part, is it not?

Anonymous said...

The real problem with teams, regardless of the club, is that not all players want to be there. A lot of players are there because their parents want them to be there; big mistake - the best players are there because they want to be there; not there to live out mommy and daddys dreams. So, if those players who do not wish to play high level soccer, want to play in college or want to aspire to a regional or national team - please step aside and play on a team with different objectives. Let the soccer studs play and perfect their game so that they can become the best players - then and only then will NJ have a stronger presence in Region 1

Anonymous said...

NJ Elite will get blown out by the Wildcats this weekend!

NPL quality players will have 0 chance of making MF ECNl at either 00 or 01 next year. Are there really people who think this birth year change is going to open up opportunity for early year 01s to make the ECNL rosters? Nope MF has about 22 ECNL level 00s on the 99 and 00 rosters now and 25 01 on the 00 and 01 rosters. Looks like a nice reshuffle with a couple of kids bounced off the 01 rosters to NPL or beyond. If some of the strongest kids come out of the woodwork from some other teams then there couple be more bouncing. That's where it might get interesting. NPL quality has 0 reflection on next years ECNL quality post birth year reshuffle

Anonymous said...

Most talented kids left MFA at all ages...

Anonymous said...

What recourse do you have as a parent, legally, if a club you belong too has a board member who took money. No direct hit on me at the moment but now the club will not be able too get a turf field. What are the damages?

Anonymous said...

Gonna get pretty sticky for IGFA and Stallions over next few weeks playing multiple State Cups along with region 1 and NPL. NPL not fond of changing those games. Overplay in search of those medals.

Anonymous said...

MFA has some of the most poorly assembled teams in NJ. I am shocked they still have an NPL status. Their ECNL teams all suck! I know those 4 little letters carry some weight but man are those teams terrible. The club as a whole is terrible. Some of the NPL teams up north have dad coaches and the north U15s will take any kid with a pair of cleats. It must suck to have to drive 3 hours to a game only to see your team get its ass kicked. Matchfit is where you go when PDA doesn't want you anymore.

Anonymous said...

Where will all the MF kids who live towards to south go now that they are leaving raritan HS and moving everything to Morris catholic up north? It's one thing to travel 3 hours to a home game on Saturday but during he week is brutal with school.

Anonymous said...

Strongly disagree Cats are well coached, they will not lose to NJ Elite, end of story.

Anonymous said...

MF just did those kids a favor by leaving them behind. They can all tryout for PDA Shore, most of them probably won't make the team, but they can at least try out!

Anonymous said...

PDA shore will be lucky if any of he current team returns Those parents are not happy with the quality of the team and even more unhappy with their coach.

Anonymous said...

Let me tell you why edp is a fake league. Jersey United 1 year ago finish last in maps division and they get moved up to first division to pacify fake academys. You go to there meetings and they preach we want competitive games 1 goal difference. Then explain to me why you placed jersey United in the first division and they are losing every game by 3+ goals. Nice job edp! How many checks did you get for all their teams.

Anonymous said...

I agree that JU does not belong in First Division! I know those girls are working hard but they don't have the talent or skill level to compete with any of those teams in First Division!

Anonymous said...

To April 13th @ 1:52 - you are either a player or a very ignorant parent....not sure which. How would you know what the teams look like; how many daughters do you have - have they all played every MFA team for you to make a comment like you have any knowledge or experience in the matter. Curious, who does your player play for???? I'm always amazed at the level of ignorance and arrogance from parents who profess to know it all or have the inside track into a club.....what lonely lives you must lead.....newsflash: your daughters either have the skills and potential to play better or they don't; they will grow up and make their own decisions and you will have to figure out something else to complain about in your life.....for your sake and the sake of your player please do something more constructive with your time and life than pretending to know what you're talking about and bashing players and teams.....oh, by the way wha a role model you must be for your player....I guess in your family there are no filters....just say what you want when you want...remember that will come back and bite you in the butt when you're own child does the same behavior. Suggeston: focus on your own player an parenting skills - no need to worry about MFA

Great job loser "he current team", again you talk smack, try worrying about your own kid on your team. Always parents like you causing crap. You should spend more time with your kid on soccer training then you do on this blog. I am glad my daughter plays for FC COPA COPA COPA.

Anonymous said...

SLICK SLICK SLICK

Anonymous said...

Matchfit mom trying to defend those crappy teams, that's funny! To pay $3000 to have some dad coach is ridiculous! Also those NPL teams are horrid! They can barely beat STA's B team and get absolutely crushed by real NPL teams like IGFA, Stallions, and STA. They are a rec program with the 3 little letters saying NPL on their jerseys.

Anonymous said...

Post 2:40PM are you serious about Wildcats being well coached? Look at the teams they have played & all the low level teams they have lost to since the Summer. Team is too predicable that even Holmdel beat them which is a very bad loss! Coach doesn't have a clue what he is doing as it is kick & run and all he does is yell like an idiot which is a total disgrace. Anyone that buys into what he is selling needs to have their heads checked.

Anonymous said...

Shore might be the only place worse as another unqualified coach with a lot of talented players on the team used to playing at a much higher level then the 10th flight of Jeff Cup & getting blown out for an 0-3 weekend. Money well spent parents.

Anonymous said...

To April 14 @ 2:13 p.m - You spew a lot of BS; but you don't talk about your darling player....when was the last time your daughter's team beat IGFA, Stallons or STA????? And you never did answer the question - you seem to be free to table your unfiltered options that are clearly indications about how much you don't know about the competition......are you capable of answering the questions or are you going to hide behind it.....my bet is you're going to hide behind it....you should take your hot air and save it for the next cold day.

3-0 win over beliete is not impressive at all. But a win is win. Jackson and freehold were given a pass for sure while Homdale and wildcats are excited to not have to play the top teams until the final.

Anonymous said...

Can someone explain to me why is PDA shore playing in jags league ... That makes no sense

Anonymous said...

Shore playing jags to get wins.

Anonymous said...

That's absolutely ridiculous that's crazy if they lose those games not good ... Who's idea was that .

Stallions destroy Crush!!! Back on track this weekend with two great games!!

Big Turnout at PDA Shore U16 Tryouts It looked like a Jackson Soccer tryout with all of the Jackson kids. You have to feel bad for all of the girls on the team now who are U14 with team moving to U16 there is no way any existing girl is making it again. Lots of talent showed up.

Anonymous said...

Jackson and talent don't go together in the same sentence.

Anonymous said...

Big turnout, lol

Anonymous said...

My daughter was at those tryouts it's was a joke mate are you serious PDA shore tryouts ... PDA brand at the shore is a disaster not even close to Zarapath it will take time

Anonymous said...

The next two years for these group of players will suck. Thanks to US Soccer!!!!

Does anyone find it funny when parents bash a coach for years, then before you know it their daughter is playing for that coach (so called coach). Only believe what people do, never what they say.

Anonymous said...

Flames will be extinguished by Barons this weekend! Sorry NJ Elite, you had a good run but now you're playing with the real teams!

Anonymous said...

I want to take this time and give Matchfit a moment of silence! Looks like they won't have 00s or 01s! They are scrambling everywhere!

Anonymous said...

To 4/22 @ 7:47 - you truly are an idiot......every team in every state on both sides has 00's and 01's......if not then nobody was born in those years playing soccer....I think it's time for you to have a cup of coffee and wake up whatever brain cells you have left.....every team in every state on both sides is readjusting their rosters to comply with the new ruling.....even ECNL down through JAGS........what's going on with your player's team or are you under the impression that she will be insultated from the fallout......maybe coffee is not enough for you.......unfortunately brain transplants are still in the experimental stage.

TSF beat COPA......what?

Anonymous said...

Slick wears yoga pants!

Anonymous said...

They are your wife's

Anonymous said...

COPA VS PDA SHORE ... Tomorrow

Anonymous said...

That is a tough loss for Copa, did they ever find a goalie? Or using a field player? TSF also has new players or am I mistaken? At any rate, great win for TSF. I like both teams, I think pretty well run programs at both. Copa should beat pda shore and redeem themselves, say 3-2? 3-1

Anonymous said...

COPA VS PDA SHORE ... Copa should bounce back ive seen them play PDA shore seen them play they are very predictable they play the ball back to much coach doesnt make adjustments during the course of the match ... COPA will bounce back .

Anonymous said...

What games are those?

Anonymous said...

Age re-alignment effecting a lot of teams...Tryouts should be interesting....
Shake it up!

Wildcats walk all over Holmdel today.

Anonymous said...

Yes tryouts will change a lot of things. Old bridge girls have been seen at tryouts. Tough for the town teams to survive this change at this age. You have to be on a good team that will get you in the proper tournaments at u16. This is a critical year.

Anonymous said...

i see a lot of igfa jerseys at copa tryouts?

Anonymous said...

Lol sure! Lol

Anonymous said...

State cup brackets were completely off this year. Stallions should not meet with GFA in semis but finals. The other semifinal game is a joke.

Anonymous said...

Not true, Wildcats fury are a strong team. Freehold vs Jackson what was the result . ?

Anonymous said...

To bad the 2 best teams in NJ are not in the state cup

Anonymous said...

Jackson 1-0. Freehold had many opportunities.

Anonymous said...

@1:35 yes they did all 12 of them.. You should be proud.. Congrats!

Anonymous said...

COPA owner is A1 D-bag!

Anonymous said...

Barons put the Flames out! Small club, small team, not ready for higher competition! Lose to higher ranked teams happens all the time!

Anonymous said...

Holmdel, if you cant field a team disband. Your lack of dedication is not our problem.

Anonymous said...

Shame on NJ Elite for not caring about their 00s! None of them will have a team to play on next year and club is doing nothing to help them! Thanks for your help 00s but since your team can't compete against tough competition coach decided to play 01 where age group will be a little weaker going forward. Their mission statement says they are all about the kids, I guess that is only true if your kid is 01 and all the other teams in your state are splitting up or playing up. Bad job on the coach!

Anonymous said...

Best midfielder in the state plays for flames . Now they are focusing on 2001 they will have the strongest team in state you will see. Tryouts are full of girls from top teams .

Anonymous said...

Did the midfielder from STA or IGFA come over to the Falmes? I don't think so. Top 01 teams will be playing 00 next year so age group will look very different and a lot weaker BTW Best midfielder on Flames has been getting manhandled by lesser quality teams like COPA and Wildcats.

Anonymous said...

Girls soccer = no one is great.

Anonymous said...

Barons are running through this division. Great job by them. Flames are having issues, but some of that team is from STA, GFA and some others? But 6-3. NJ Rush and Barons will be nice match.

Anonymous said...

What is the comment about NJX? did they not have enough to field a team for state cup game. Looks like they lost 3 - 0. that worked out well for the wildcats.

Anonymous said...

Looks like Wildcats tied TSF this weekend, too, but are quiet about that one.

Anonymous said...

8:23 - What are you talking about? No idea who you are referring to when you say best midfielder in the state and yes, tryouts are full of girls, but most definitely not from top teams. Want to try again?

Anonymous said...

Why would 01 teams play up to 00?cant your club surport both age groups?any parent that lets there kid 01 play up and miss a year is nuts.

Anonymous said...

7:42 Agree 100%. The well being of the girls was definitely not a factor in that decision.

Anonymous said...

I have had enough of the I can do anything I want attitude and take gods gift to VA for basketball instead of going to state cup and having us play with no subs. Enough is enough. Goodbye freehold, I will miss you next year.

Anonymous said...

Freehold manager ruined everything.

Anonymous said...

A lot more full rides in basketball then soccer,so live with it,or go join slick at gfa

Anonymous said...

DA in NJ. Copa because of sky blue. PDA. MF. Tab Ramos (NJCSA). How can that be wrong? Only difference on boys side is Copa for red bulls.

Anonymous said...

What did the Freehold Manager do that would make you say that? Tried to keep the team together?

Anonymous said...

I bought a carton of mild today and on the side of the box was the Orange Crush team picture! They have been missing for some time and the soccer community is worried!

Anonymous said...

How much does mild cost these days?

Anonymous said...

The cost of mild varies. Mild steel runs about $500/ton wholesale depending on shape and quantity. Mild Arabica coffee beans run about $0.15/lb bulk wholesale. I am not sure how much a mild mannered soccer coach costs. Price of a mild mannered soccer parent varies based on therapist fees.

Anonymous said...

I like mild salsa! No pictures of missing teams on the side of the jar though so that sucks!

Anonymous said...

hahaha...that is hilareus. If you are gonna talk ship, make sure you at leest spill you're insolt korectlly.

Anonymous said...

Gfa is having tryouts what more can you ask for time with slick, training four days a week and a competitive atmosphere. What other team outside of the ECNL has done more over the last 4 years?

Anonymous said...

I thought all 00's were going to playing up in Spring 2017 to U17 because of the new ruling.....so wouldn't most of the 00's lose playing @ U16.....In some case they would be playing up by a few months....not a big deal

Anonymous said...

00s are getting screwed! Small clubs with crappy U16s and doing nothing to recruit are leaving their 00s out to dry!

Anonymous said...

12:21 usual idiot, go away.

Anonymous said...

They are done in 2 months anyway

Anonymous said...

11:13. MFA Does not have the DA on the boys side. Look it up. Lost it two years ago.. so if you think it will follow DA, then it would go to NJCSA. If you think it will go to ECNL, then it will go to MFA.

Anonymous said...

I dont think Match Fit is applying for womens DA

Anonymous said...

Freehold is

Anonymous said...

Freehold is ,lol that's a good one

Anonymous said...

@3:55
My DD was at NJCSA tryouts Monday and I was surprised at the number of 00 and 01's there. I was also surprised at the talent of many of those players. I assume those parents agree that the future DA is NJCSA. I also saw the plans of the facilities that were approved and there will be nothing like it in NJ. Now that doesn't mean those players agree to play there but makes you stop at wonder what other know.

Going forward, will this blog be for 01s or 00s? I need to know where I should properly be leaving my rants.

Super y finals
Dts
That is a pretty good resume for coaches. Why hate so much? Modestly speaking why not support the efforts of what one little club could do under the right guidance, curriculum and sticktoitiveness? You must be very angry over something you can not control. That is called envy. So so sad.

Now stop the nonsense with freehold, Cop and flames.. They are nothing to talk about.

Jackson in finals that is funny. Wildcats are going to crush Jackson. Plus most of the Jackson girls are going to the U16 PDA Shore team so they really don't care about the rest of the games.

The DA academy really doesn't come into play for this age group does it? Maybe for one year, so who really cares.

Right now there is only one true top team in NJ, PDA's ECNL team, and no I don't have a child playing for that that team. There are some other teams that are very good and a lot of great players on other teams. There is an abundance of talent out there!

The fact is that clubs are applying for DA status and that process will take a while to be finished, we can all take guesses on who will get what: I'm sure that PDA will get the status, Red Bull may fool all and have a DA on the girls side, they have the pool of coaches and with the team they put together in short order last summer they will be right there in the mix! Match Fit will more that likely not get status of DA, given what happened to them on the boys side. Cedar Stars has a good shot, only because of Tab Ramos, but they will need to bring in qualified coaches and directors. The majority on the girls side there will have to be eliminated, that is just a fact. FC Copa is an outsider, yes they have affiliation with Sky Blue but really doesn't hold any weight in the process, but would be good if they were to gain that status.

Flames have difficulty with some of the higher ranked teams but things are about to turn around this weekend when they beat COPA. Next year Flames will be number 1 in the state!
