wow, the team of 2 players is capable of this?

Anonymous said...

Bet you guys lose to the Hornets and then go away from the blog for a while.

Anonymous said...

You sound like such an idiot!!.. How can any team be a good team if it only has 2 good players..come on man..especially at this level...You really are an idiot or maybe just jealous... Either way keep your mouth shut...you don't have a clue buddy...

Anonymous said...

@8:04am. Sorry I hit a nerve. Yes most players do have a natural athletic ability. Let's take speed as an example. If your daughter runs a 5.2 40, there is no amount of development in the world that will make her run a 4.4. I know the truth hurts, but if your daughter is a 2nd team ecnl player today it is highly unlikely she will be a first teamer. Why? Because those same ecnl clubs that are touting your daughters development are also out trying to upgrade their roster with better players than what they have. Sure one or two may get called up, but what they really want is the better players they have identified on other teams. It's a fact. And for all the academy's sprouting up,,, there is a sucker born every minute. As long as parents like you think development is the only thing holding your daughter back, they will keep sprouting up as long as you're paying. I'm not jaded, just not drinking the kool aid. Tell your ecnl coaches to stop calling, and focus on your daughters development, my daughter isn't coming. Yet. But if or when she does, it won't be on the 2nd team.....

Anonymous said...

I agree. It's U13 and you should know where your daughter is in the pecking order by now and if you don't I can assure you that your coach does. I also agree that the guy who thinks 2 players make a team is a joke. You really need to get a clue.. At this level what separates most of these teams us there depth. Splash had been good for many years because not only was there starting 11 good but so was there bench. I think a lot other teams out there (GFA) have exactly that, depth. There problem is only the fact that they haven't been together long. Yes they have 2 or 3 players that might be better than others but by no means are they the only good players on the team. You should listen to yourself speak before you do because that is just ridiculous...

"5:29 - you are a complete idiot. I love someone calling another a coward and doing so anonymously. So brave of you."

It's the people that talk negatively about one team or individual and come on here for no other reason than to start trouble anonymously that ARE the cowards. NOT the ones who anonymously point it out. So, it seems YOU may be the idiot in this case.

IGFA U14 has two younger players at the Futsal Regionals... the rest are U14.

These IGFA parents talk a big game. Every time they win an couple indoor games they declare it to the world.

Guess what? Nobody cares. Come back to us when you win Manhattan, Jeff Cup, PDA, Delco or something else in the top two brackets. Its getting boring now.

Anonymous said...

"Brick is a joke"

To call a team with the list of accomplishments in almost 6 years of basically continuous top level play that they have had so far, not to mention it's dedicated coaches, trainers, players and parents a joke is sheer ignorance, stupidity, and probably even jealousy on your part.

Anonymous said...

All the GFA girls are u13 . Only 2 girls are u14 at the futsal regional. Before you talk get the information straight.you said is boring, you are right it is boring to keep talking about the fact that is not true that the u13 team is short or that is only two players team ( before it was only one young girl saving the day now it is two) and blah blah blah.
You are right let's see if they win something important and even if they do still is nothing to brag. Just extra motivation to keep working.
Now go on and say something bad again without the right information

Anonymous said...

GFA will have a 500 season in the First Division this spring. Everybody is looking forward to these big-mouthed parents going quiet on the blog after that happens.

You will not beat Brick, or Force Crush, or the Barons. There's 3 losses right there. Freehold beat you in the fall so that could be a 4th.

Anonymous said...

I doubt that the big mouths are the parents. Usually there is always somebody that like to stir things up out of jeaulousy . Sometimes PDA or brick or GFA .
They will win games and lose games like everybody else's. No matter what there will be somebody in this blog that will be negative.
If they win it was only one girl and the other team used the third team's players. If they lose will be something else.
All the teams above have good parents I am sure with some exceptions but everybody that counts is focus on players development.
But of course this is not a constructive blog, only distructive so all of you can deal with your personal frustrations

Anonymous said...

Agree - IGFA13 plays U14 and has only two age appropriate (U14) players at the Futsal Regionals... The rest = all U13.

BTW., the one U14 is the goalie. They have only one u14 player there - defense.

Can you imagine they would simply play their age group? I am convinced they would make it to the nationals if they could make it to the Northeastern Regional semifinals playing up.

Girls are very good & talented. I wonder how they perform on 11v11. Will be interesting.

Also, losing to Brick, Crush, Barons is nothing bad. 4th place in 1st EDP division for one year old team - I think it is good for a start? What matters - where they are after a year or two. So, don't get too excited. Also, everyone who can "see the future", please remember to check your predictions after the season.

I will ping you later.

What's going on with this site? GFA brags about an indoor win, Wildcat Mom says her kid is a top 5 keeper & Brick has a good keeper? This is insanity people! GFA win for a while vs good teams before you pump your chests or end up like Jackson. Wildcat Mom have you seen every keeper in NJ? You couldn't have since you don't play a top schedule against top teams so that's pretty crazy. Brick is still a top team but not the dominate team they were small sided & can't see them merging with Wildcats but if they did clearly the top 5 keeper will replace Bricks as that had always been their biggest issue & anyone that had played them knows this. Watch the way the over compensate for the keeper limiting themselves offensively & you can see how much confidence they have back there. These crazy Mom's need to stay off of here making their teams look bad as I'm sure the coaches would be livid if they knew half the things that are said here. Good luck to all NJ teams & remember don't hate just appreciate.

Anonymous said...

Is there a site that shows the New jersey Indoor State Cup scores?

Anonymous said...

No one is pumping there chest...just the facts...if you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen or hide under PDA's magic bubble... hornets will not...Splash will not beat the current top ten teams....they are too busy letting their parents drink ECNL koolaid... GFA simply working hard and letting their play do the talking...simply the facts...koolaid addicts

Anonymous said...

Can I ask you all a question... Why is it so wrong for a parent to be proud of there child and there child's team for winning? Why do certain people on this blog take it as them saying they are the next best thing. I haven't heard one comment about any GFA parent or someone else say that GFA was the best or that GFA can beat such and such..NEVER once was something like that said. If I'm a GFA parent and they win a game I have every right to be proud about it, I do t care who it's against. So please grow the F up and keep your stupid, ridiculous comments and predictions to yourself, nobody cares...

Anonymous said...

"I love how all these clubs are merging and the PDA still stands stong. Keep putting your heads I mean clubs together. When it's all said and done the stronger girls will come to PDA. "

PDA is the one doing the mergers.

Pre ECNL season

Doesnt matter what results Splash get.

They can contend that when in ECNL at U14 they will have the best of the best.............

read: NEW players and a better focus.

What you believe is your business, but that will be the line this spring

Anonymous said...

Don't understand. According to this blog they already have the best of the best(re: "all-star team"), and that those top players on the other teams wouldn't touch that club with a ten foot pole.
Please make up your mind.
Also, are you saying their focus has been lacking? I'd hate to be one of those parents paying for a lack of focus.

Anonymous said...

doesnt matter - all starts at u14

disregard the bumps this spring

this goes for the u12 team as well

Anonymous said...

Stronghold Red, TSF and NJ Force Lighting have no business being in the top flights in EDP, they may eeeekkkk out 1 win between them

Anonymous said...

Who woke up the the guy with slick back hair and jumpsuit from GFA?as you can see he is a real winner.
I bet he lives in Jackson .......lol

Anonymous said...

That guy is a total idiot. He'll be in rare form at manhatten.

Anonymous said...

Are you referring to "Slick". Wish
you had him on your team. We can't
stand him.

Anonymous said...

As with individual players, I dont think it is productive or courteous to call out individual parents on this blog.

Let's be above this.

Anonymous said...

Did Americans end up winning nj indoor cup?

Anonymous said...

DV academy 9 GFA 2. What happen? This makes DV the best team in the world.......

Anonymous said...

In door games are meaningless. At least the scores are.

Anonymous said...

Don't you have anything better to do than worry about how GFA did.. For someone who could careless about them you certainly know a lot about what there doing.. Pretty funny..

Anonymous said...

Gfa did loose fair and square...but they will be at the nationals in July ..Long Beach...while other will be looking for summer select squads

I am IGFA parent and I was at the game.

Actually, futsal is important in skills development - it promotes quality touches. It is a perfect way to improve technical skills.

It was a great experience for IGFA girls. Nobody expected them to win the U.S. Futsal NJ state cup as they played up. Winning their U14 group in Northeast regional championship was also a surprise - but completely deserved. The winning against a strong team in semis was probably the maximum these young girls could handle. In the finals, it was 2:1 after the first half. But, as I was not really surprised, they lost their concentration and broke apart after the 1/3 of the 2nd half. Anyone who understands soccer should not wonder. The whole week playing up, after many very aggressive games, girls simply collapsed psychologically.

Girls showed all the respect to the winning team. They lined up and showed the respect to the winners by shaking their hands without anyone telling them to do so...

DV Academy was an excellent team and deserved to win 100%. Also, it was a great experience for IGFA girls. Do I regret our team decided to play up rather than stay in their age group and probably win the championship. Absolutely not. They would probably learn less. Isn't this about the development at this age anyway? Also, shows that coaches really care about their development and not the collection of trophies. They are also not afraid to get bad results and challenge girls. They simply care about their improvement and not what somebody thinks or writes on this blog.

Anonymous said...

Honey no one cares. Really. So please stop breaking down your games. Win or lose.

Anonymous said...

9:32

Betcha, I could assemble a group of u12's to beat your IGF team.....Please stop. We don't care how good you think you are.

Anonymous said...

K, some use the Internet or this blog in this case to share information. Others use it to vent out their psychological issues. It's pretty clear who is using the site for which purpose.

And if you are here to bully, visit other sites. Or, better suggestion - visit a doctor.

Anonymous said...

Good luck in Long Beach.....

You had no U14s on this squad?

Anonymous said...

Didn't a PA team win the NJ fustal at U13? Or a split team that is. I doubt IG gets past them so consider yourself lucky they were playing u14.. Enough. Please. The IG parents are proud, we all get it. Futsal is about touches, great that team got that experience. Now let's see if that translates into tournaments and game play. But enough about the resiliency of these special girls. Every one thinks their girls are special, you just come off bad when you try to exaggerate your daughters specialness, give it a rest.

Anonymous said...

IGFA has not played or beaten ONE quality team in a REAL game. Indoor and Futsal are training sessions for most trans. I do not recall seeing them play PDA, Bethesda, STA Red, Anericans, SJEB, FC Bucks, Cleveland, Top Hat Gold.........in an outdoor 11 V 11 game. The EDP success they speak of is a joke. Be careful how you pump up your players. Reality will be a hard pill to swallow.

Anonymous said...

Hey tough guy...don't be so quick to blame "mom's" on here...I doubt that's who is posting these comments.

Anonymous said...

I wish the IGFA dad and his bitter girlfriednd from PDA would stop using 13 year old girls to settle their suck azzz childhood shortcomings..man up and come out the anonymous closet...and stop talking about swallowing...unless it is something you both enjoy doing...don't spit..take it all in...and let the girls be..they will all hate you for being such losers...these teams are good and are getting better over time...

Anonymous said...

This site and most of you parents are a joke!!! All you do is bash parents, kids, teams etc... What a disgrace.... You all should be ashamed of yourself..

Anonymous said...

Uggghhhh....IGFA go away already. Seriously be happy for your kids but is it necessary to come on a blog and tout your victory. Even Brick keeps the chest thumping to their own website. Be happy, it's fine but don't try to play it off like you weren't bragging about toppling a giant in PDA. It most certainly wasn't simple score reporting.

I can't say it is the IGFA parents because this is an anonymous blog and could be people who just want to stir the pot. If it is, be humble but more importantly, be quiet. Parents of "up and coming" teams should be seen and not heard until the team has done something. More than just one quasi meaningful win.

Anonymous said...

This site should be shut down!! There is nothing constructive about it! I agree.. It's fine to be happy but don't brag...no doubt GFA seems like a good team but they really haven't proven themselves against top teams. Let's see how they do this year... Good luck...

Anonymous said...

So, who won the indoor state cup? Anybody knows? The web site still shows the results from the last year - what are they doing???

Anonymous said...

CFC Arsenal of CT won. Beat STA in the final.

Anonymous said...

With all of the good teams in NJ how does a team from ct come down here and win?

Anonymous said...

CT team wins indoor, PA team wins futsal in NJ? With all the talk seems like NJ has some work to do. Now before you start with who was or wasn't at these events, being real just seems like a lot of parity between teams vs NJ being so dominant as claimed on these boards.

Anonymous said...

Because IGFA wasn't in it. Duh.

Anonymous said...

I think the better question is why those pa and ct teams have to come to nj to get real competition. Keystone state not good enough?
Lots of good teams in MA also.

Anonymous said...

The team from ct was good, and they were a split squad.

Anonymous said...

STA and TSF looked good, two teams from CFC were very good, deserved winners, tough to criticize NJ when PDA, SJEB, Americans, NJ Force, NJ Crush etc were not there

Anonymous said...

NJ is very split. Too many teams to choose from = good but not great.

Anonymous said...

How was Worldclass? Did they do well ?

Anonymous said...

When do state cup brackets come out?

Anonymous said...

World class was a no show. So was Americans.

Anonymous said...

Terrible driving conditions that night.

Anonymous said...

16 or so other teams made it!

Anonymous said...

12:07

Agreed, if NJ does not look to consolidate their best players into fewer teams, they will continue to struggle against the best teams from other states. Indoor and outdoor, makes no difference.

Anonymous said...

Do the BEST NJ teams really struggle?

Anonymous said...

Every team but the SPLASH!!

Anonymous said...

All of the top NJ teams lose at the big tournaments-Jeff Cup, Delco, PDA, etc., and then all you hear is excuses.

Anonymous said...

Consolidating teams is not and will never be the answer to better teams.
That simply re-arranges the players
into a few teams. It does nothing to
raise the level of their abilities.

What needs to be done is to get rid of some of those swagger coaches that simply want to collect a check, and really don't care about our daughters.

What it does is shore up the holes that every team has, with B team players taking up starting spots. You would have to be very careful with team chemistry, but if done properly it would be very beneficial.

Agree that we also need coaches who have passion and also know and can teach the game. Not sure there are many with all three.

Anonymous said...

Just got back from the Futsal tournament in Wildwood.

Observation
1. Well run tournament.
2. Nice facilities.
3. Good playing surface.
3. Level of play was poor on the girls side. ( I thought I was watching ping pong)
4. Boys games were more skilled ( Teams evenly matched)
5. Next year Organizers need to get better teams on the girls side. WC, MF, PDA, BUCS, PF, DCU, etc..

Not bashing anyone. Calling it how I saw it.

Anonymous said...

Delusional people. You guys still haven't figured out that with all the girls playing soccer around the country, that there are very few really special players out there. Just because a lot of girls play the game doesn't mean there are a lot of great players. Most of the top players on all these teams are really average soccer players at best. Get a grip on reality. All we are doing is trying to take advantage of Title IX and get some of her tuition paid for and also to hopefully provide the opportunity to remember this experience positively.

Anonymous said...

All of you guys are naive if your primary focus is 1st division or even nationals, etc. at this age. If that's your only goal, be ready to be disappointed.

My goal is completely different. I want to develop a person who works hard to achieve results, learns how to win by working hard, and how to handle situations where somebody is simply better - how to lose. Teaching kids how to focus, how not to give up, how to strive to be the best, all of these should be your objectives. If they learn that, they will be successful in their lives - no matter what they do or where they go.

More important, these goals are really practical and achievable for all of you not just some lucky ones.

Change your objectives and you will be happy. Or, stick to a "BIG" plan and get ready to be very disappointed. I wish your or better your daughters' dreams come true...

Dude - or ma'am -

The 2 need not be mutually exclusive.

Looking to win is fine...."gunning for points" - sure - if you are also accomplishing what you say -

as PART OF THE PROCESS - not necessarily as THE goal.

Take the good (all you strive for) as residue of going for the big prize. TEACH as you go. But dont hold back on opportunity when it knocks. That is depriving your child.

Anonymous said...

you completely missed the point...

That's the whole point - they are not mutually exclusive. But they should be independent to ensure your motivations and poison drive doesn't kill your child because of the loosing what is more important in life.

Read carefully and don't spread out your thoughts as mine. Don't put your words into someone's else month.

Just try to understand and not react! Try to understand rather than blame. Have a positive look rather than an inquisitional position. Be simply positive and don't just find the issue if there is none.

And finally, go get a life.

Anonymous said...

how did splash do this weekend in Rahway?

Anonymous said...

Blame?

Who's blaming.

Nobody unhappy here.

And you are right - there is no issue.

"Change your objective and you will be happy - or stick to the big plan...."

Those are your words - I assume of advice.... but to who? Nobody asked and we're fine with the approach we are taking.

Dont hate the folks doing it differently. And dont act above it all. If you're happy....great. Let others be.

Anonymous said...

And by the way - putz - I am not from PDA and I have been on your side on this board the entire way.

Dont assume you know who you are addressing

Anonymous said...

Thank you. And I am sorry if I missed something. Just trying to bring a different prospective. Thanks for yours.

And now - let's be friends.

For the parent bashing girls futsol play...shame on you....to say that the teams were ping ponging it shame on you twice...and to say that the list of teams you provided are better suited false...you can not compare girls to boys...different animal...the girls may not have been as fast or as skilled but when comparing to the other girls that where playing the tails off the talent pool was good to outstanding...I was standing next to some fathers as ignorant as you and you can not compare boys to girls...you must work for governor Christie who also likes to comepare apples to oranges when talking about ability...loser..loser loser...if those teams listed wanted to compete at the futsol they could have but they chose not to because it does not suit them...and that's fine..,stop hating... and keep your cowardly coccomments to yourself...or come out of the closet and show your manhood... but you can't chicken...godbless all those girls who battled itboit this weekend and to the chauvinistic Pig talking about the teams that were there...please man up I am waiting to disgrace you and your 18gh century thoughts...BTW...there were PDA MF and WC girls there guess playing but you would know that because your shallow narrow and short in all fronts

best technical girls, play like boys.

Anonymous said...

I agree with the person who said learning to deal with defeat is a valuable life lesson. To keep working for the win, but sometimes it doesn't pan out. The sense of entitlement and even self proclaimed superiority that leads to rude behavior does not translate well into real life.
Teams that refuse second place trophies should be banned from returning to that tournament. Sportsmanship is very often lacking where life lessons are ignored.

Anonymous said...

Like boys but not at the same rate, strength or other attributes... impossible...keep girls with girls and boys with boys..I have seen some quality girls teams beat quality boys teams and visa a versa...you do not understand how children develop..a and your blanket statement has no science or research to support it...people like you destroy the hopes of our girls by comparing them to boys...yes some girls may have some similar attributes... but do not compare boys to girls...learn about how children develop...stages of life...looser

Anonymous said...

Let's compare U.S. Women Soccer team and U.S. Men Soccer team. Which one is better? Do they play the same style? Do you like watching them the same way? Which one is more technical and which one is more physical? Which is better? And do the only man like woman succeed?

Anonymous said...

Again , best technical players play like boys with their technique.

I am not talking about physicality. And the speed at the highest level is slower.

but it is absolutely beautiful to watch a technical girls team play small touch soccer.

Anonymous said...

I watched the DV Academy - U14G in finals (playing our U13G team). They played amazing soccer. Very technical and fast. They did not take advantage of their size to beat us. It was the cleanest championship game I have seen in my life. These girls used their technical skills and maturity to defeat our team. They deserved the victory and our girls are thankful to play with and learn from them. Congratulation. And good job - coach.

Anonymous said...

Who exactly is DV Academy?

Anonymous said...

DV Academy is a year-round Futsal Academy based out of NY.

For instance, D.V. Academy won last year - in 2013 U.S. FUTSAL NATIONAL championship.

wow - why don't you think they are not on the left side of the schedule?

What do you think? They would have to meet some strong teams and maybe they would not get too far - Americans Blue Blaze, South Jersey Elite Barons, IGFA...This would be too risky for them.

Look at the right side. Somebody had a good "influence" on the schedule.

Anonymous said...

There is no way that Manhattan tourn is happening. We have one maybe two more days of decent weather and that's it. There is way too much snow on the ground and there saying there's a possibility if more snow next week.. Sux but my guess is 85% chance it's cxld!!

PDA Splash got a free ride to semis...

Anonymous said...

Everyone complains about state cup not being seeded, but when NJ Cup is done the right way and actually seeds teams, you cry like a bitch.
These are the top 8 seeds for the tournament:
1. Splash
2. Americans
3. SJEB
4. Force
5. STA
6. Crush
7. Brick
8. Freehold
Based on these seedings you could make the argument that STA and Crush could switch sides. You could also make the argument that Freehold and Brick could switch sides. In either case, it is no big deal and you still have it set up for the top four teams to meet in the semis, just like it's supposed to be. Is that a guarantee? Of course not. It's why we play the games.
Play your game and stop making excuses for your kid, she deserves better than that.

Anonymous said...

Don't normally post anything, but after reviewing the brackets for Jefferson Cup, have to make a comment or two.

Did they get it wrong? PDA Hornets in the same bracket s SJEB. Every team in the next three brackets are better then that team. Come on man! Just speaking of NJ teams: Brick, NJ Force Crush, TRIC, REAL Galaxy, IGFA, and FC COPA are all better than PDA Hornets ---- Have heard that they lost a few players over the winter to Splash and outside teams.

I hope they represent NJ well and prove my statement to be wrong.

Here are predictions:

Championship Bracket:

Final: Cleveland vs Bethesda

Bethesda wins in close match

Elite Bracket:

FC Virginia or FC Bucks vs SJEB

FC Virginia or FC Bucks take it.

Superior Bracket:

Charlotte United vs United or Brick

Charlotte takes the final 2 - 0

Platnium Bracket:

IGFA vs LVU

IGFA takes final : 2 - 1

Classic Bracket:

SC United or FC Delco vs Lower Merion or Ohio

Lower Merion or Ohio take it in shootout.

Premier Bracket:

FC Copa vs Chan Santos

Chan Santos wins 3 -1 in final

Good Luck to all NJ Teams I hope that you all enjoy this tournament and play well. Just predictions, all for fun and maybe some banter back and forth. What your predictions?

As for Manhattan tourney --- No chance all fields will be playable for that weekend...

US Club State Cup seeds are off as clearly you don't understand how it works. The teams that made the semis last year are the top 4 seeds then everyone else in randomly placed. 1 seed is STA & Crush is 2nd seed. Too much talk without any facts. Every season they have the better teams playing each other early which doesn't always set up the best final 4 but that isn't any different thdn USYS State Cup. Need to seed both to get better games & not teams getting through by luck.

Anonymous said...

Wildcats and IGA both get put up or shut up round two games. Careful what you wish for when you say how good you're getting. I see them both out right there. I'm sure the IGA parent that predicted they could make the final and beat LVU at Jefferson would disagree, but those teams cannot beat Americans or Force Crush. They won't beat LVU either.
Also noticed a few strange placements with Medford strikers in top bracket but npl teams jersey united and nj rush both in the lower bracket?

Anonymous said...

I'm going by the facts. Last year you could have had 7 of the top 8 teams in the state playing each other in the quarterfinals. Brick got upset by tric and splash didn't play. This year it is set up for the top 8 teams in the state to play each other in the quarterfinals. Those are the facts. Please show me where top teams are knocking each other off prior to the quarterfinals, which happens all the time in njys state cup.
RE: splash vs Americans and sjeb vs crush at u12 in first round of 64 teams.
And yes I know it's random after 1-4 but none of the top 8 teams has to play an opening round game. What a coincidence. lol

Anonymous said...

I checked the bracket. All PDA teams are placed so thy would not meet with Americans or SJEB before semi-finals. PDA - in finals.

If I look at their current ranking, shouldn't Americans & SJEB get an opportunity to play in finals - be placed on a different side of the bracket? They are ranked: 1 and 2. PDA Splash is far behind. So, why do you claim PDA should have a special treatment - considered #1?

Let's give them more tough games before the finals to deserve the win.

Strikers in top bracket is called "whoops applied in wrong bracket" and the two NPL teams who try to say the same thing are just very sure their teams can't compete, so they duck the top bracket.

Anonymous said...

You are right, PDA Hornets in the same bracket s SJEB - Jef. cup?

Must be a joke. Or, "PDA invisible hand" is working...

NJ State Cup Finals:
Americans vs PDA Splash

Anonymous said...

Omg. The moon landing was staged, there was a second shooter on the grassy knoll, dog racing is fixed... Well ok maybe the last one is true. Regardless, whether it is first round or finals, you have to beat the best to be the best.

As far as STA or SJEB being first and second, are you using gotsoccer rankings because we all know these are irrelevant. I'd say splash have earned the first place ranking given they have won 4 of the 5 state cups they have played in.

Anonymous said...

Sorry Americans not STA. Americans are def in top two and should be on the other side of PDA.

Anonymous said...

You guys have been told before, by U15 when you talk about playing PDA, most of you will be talking about the Hornets. Your days of seeing the Splash are coming to a close.

Neither of those teams will be exactly the same as what they are right now, but they will not be as different as you might think.

If you want to see the model at an older age group, look at U18 Slammers and Ginga. Slammers won ECNL last year, and Ginga went to USYS Nationals and lost by 1 to eventual National Champ.

Anonymous said...

K, so you adjust your your position to be aligned with your judgement. So, did they win the last year? If not, get in line.

Anonymous said...

It is a statement about the program, not about my kid.

My kid may or may not be on either one of those teams.

And if they don't want or deserve it, I am fine with that.

Anonymous said...

Also, comments are looking forward, not in the past.

Anonymous said...

I dont know what you people are smoking!!! I have seen almost all these teams play. The only difference from one team to the next is how complete the team is. A team with 11 good players is going to beat the team with 7 or 8 goog players. All these teams play hard and play to win. So unless you have a crystal ball lets talk about the games after they are played. ref. State cup

Anonymous said...

No MF??? They must have zero confidence in their team to compete.

I guess NJ Rush is tired of losing so they have dropped to the lower bracket.

Totally shocked Holmdel signed up for top bracket after avoiding it for the past 2 years. They will be one and done.

I think the IGFA Americans game will be close but Americans by 1.

Anonymous said...

At this age the top 10 teams can beat each other on any given day. There isn't much difference. Soccer is different then any other sport. The better team doesn't always win. Plus at this age it doesn't really matter. I asked a parent of an older team what his thoughts were on Jeff cup. He said just another money making tournament. For all the bs spread on this site rankings records and outcomes mean nothing. We are all sucked in. The important thing is your kid will meet of bunch of girls and learn how to compete. That will hopefully keep their heads straight.

Anonymous said...

Are we all that delusional...Have we missed the boat? These are 12 and 13 year olds. Do you watch the games? Isn't it a privilege to be able to watch all of these players compete! Especially your own daughter. Many of these teams play highly competitive games and have to learn to deal with being under constant pressure and fast changing environments on the field both in games and training. Imagine how they will use these experiences in real life? Aren't they lucky!
Each will find their way and their level on the playing field, if they continue to want to play. It is great to see my daughter and her teammates grow and mature as players. Great to see how the handle different situations that arise in the sport. How they support one and other, how they win with grace and respect they have of the competition and how they lose with grace and class and continue that respect of the competition. Although they hate the latter. So as you make your comments and state your opinions keep that in mind.

Enjoy the games, the quality time you get to spend in the car while traveling to training or games. At the end of the day, just enjoy it! I'm sure we all do it, hug your daughter and tell her how great it was to watch her play and how proud you are of her. They will remember that in 20 years. Not the score of the second game at the Jefferson Cup in 2014!

Good Luck to all the players in the State Cup, Jefferson Cup, EDP, ECNL, NPL, MSSL Spring Challenge, MOSA, JAGS, FC Delco...May you play well and my your parents just appreciate that fact! Some will have great results as a team and some will struggle, it is all part of the journey of the beautiful game!

Cheers.

In solidarity, the goal is to provide to provide a competitive environment for all of our girls. We must hold clubs, academies, and other entities accountable for the development of our girls athletic, social and ethical development. As we invest our hard earned buck what matters most is that out girls are not used to simply fill there pockets. Earn an income but do what us best too. We should not buckle to the norm or the belief that they will make our girls d1 ready or national icons but respectful and productive citizens that are willing to put hard work and community before personal gains or pleasure. We must not fight amongst ourselves. We must fight to ensure that no matter what level or team our girls play in, they are given the attention necessary to meet the demands of the their specific needs so they are prepares and ready to meet the rigorous demands of the game at each level... good luck and stay healthy....go Jersey!!

Anonymous said...

State brackets are not balanced... left side stronger...much

Anonymous said...

Completely agree....

Anonymous said...

no way! right is stronger

Anonymous said...

Left side is much stronger... Come on... Wild cats and NJX... Need I say more...

Anonymous said...

Just sum up the ranking of each team on each side and you can see clearly that the left side is much stronger.
The lower number means there are more teams with the highest position. It should not be IQ challenging.

Anonymous said...

left side has 6 teams that are ranked in first top 10 positions. So, are you blind?

Anonymous said...

Teams with position 10 or better:
Brackets:
Left: 1,2,4,7,8,10
Right: 3,5,6,9

So - it is pretty clear.

Anonymous said...

I "wonder" why PDA Splash is in the weaker group...And in a weaker wing of the weaker group.

With the current schedule, semis are almost 99% sure for PDA Splash.

What is your prediction if PDA Splash plays NJ Force Crush or Brick in semis?

Anonymous said...

1:36, flaw in your equation is #9 is really #1. If you redo making this assumption then left side looks just as strong as right

Left-1, 3,5,6
Right-2,4,7,8,9,10

Anonymous said...

I love how people complain when the splash doesn't play in tournaments. Now they complain about their bracket. I have an idea. Beat them. All these people say they aren't that strong or your team is just as good. Well just shut up and knock them off. It that easy.

Anonymous said...

I just want them to meet strong teams on the way... No help or a free ride.

However this could risk they would not get to the semis - what would be a bad marketing for PDA.

Or, can you imagine all PDA teams in the state cup would be defeated in the first round. This would really be embarrassing. And COSTLY!

Anonymous said...

They win the state cup every year. I guess you're saying that they seed the teams. That's weak. Sounds like another jealous parent from a weaker team.

Anonymous said...

Did they win last year?

Anonymous said...

Did they win last year?

Anonymous said...

I am not jealous. Just treat other teams with the same respect.

That's my point.

Anonymous said...

Gotta love the conspiracy theory. I think the same person who made this schedule is the same one who put Americans vs Splash in first round of state cup last year. What do the schedule makers have against Americans? First they put them up against the best team in first round and now they put them in the "toughest" bracket. Lol.
I wonder which bracket really does have the edge. Why don't we rank the top 4 teams on each side and compare. Team with the star gets the edge. Strictly opinion, of course. I also think at least one of these teams doesn't make it to the quarters.

LEFT RIGHT
Americans Splash*
SJEB EVEN Force
STA* Crush
Freehold Brick*

Overall edge goes to the right. Sorry lefties. The only change I would make would be to flip Americans and SJEB. Americans won state cup and should be in the same bracket as Freehold, which is weaker than STA. Americans are only ones with a gripe here. Everyone else has an agenda, but can't back it up as usual.

Anonymous said...

Hey 3:18. Stop with the respect thing. You're the one who brought this up. Just shut your mouth and win some games. Then beat the splash when you play them. I'm sorry they won 3 of 4.

Anonymous said...

I believe Americans will win again. PDA will have a tough game in semis.

But if SPLASH doesn't win again, are we planning to (still) consider them as the #1 NJ TOP TEAM?

Maybe not winning the state cup for the 2nd time would finally make some mouths more quiet.

State Cup Champs are State Champs. And the losers are not. Just to give the State Cut the real meaning - value.

Anonymous said...

I'm an underdog fan...take brick over PDA....

Anonymous said...

Me too. I also believe IGFA can make Americans work hard to win. We'll see.

Anonymous said...

Brick is not is splash's league anymore. No chance.

Anonymous said...

Probably so...but underdogs rock!!

Anonymous said...

Brick may not be in there league but they alwAys find a way to win. It will be a good game. My guess is brick will win. GFA vs Americans will be a very good game. I wouldn't be surprised either way. I haven't seen enough if GFA but we will now... Hey Mr PDA parent you really need to get a grip buddy. Telling people to shut there mouth.. Classless my friend.. Nobody ever said Splash wasn't a good team so relax. They are very good but other teams are just as good and any one of those teams can beat them. Will they? Who knows, we'll see..

Anonymous said...

No there not. The gap will continue to widen.

Anonymous said...

Brick has never been in a lot of teams "class" but, that has n stopped them from pulling upsets more than any other underdog at their age group. Even if they don't win, they can certainly put a scare into you. Ask all the top teams which team they would prefer to avoid if possible, most if not all would say Brick. Nothing would surprise me from them.

Anonymous said...

Wall...TSF....Holmdale....are not tough teams...mid level yes...crush storm...is even...but Splash...is definitely in ...quarterfinals would be there first true test...Americans have to face IGFA...STA...much stronger..will they make it to the quarter finals ...highly likely...but their chance of loosing is greater...nonetheless... you can definitely see the favortism....its all good...proven teams are usually given the easier path... powers that be have a marketing scheme to fulfill..

Anonymous said...

Can we all just let the state cup games play out and then comment. No one knows what is going to happen. Just watch the ncaa b ball tournament. There are upsets every round. The best team doesn't always win.

Anonymous said...

IGFA lost 4-0 to Americans in the fall. Sorry but it won't even be close. It's still the same IGFA team that are NOT a top team yet.

Anonymous said...

State Cup is where all the teams are exposed. Regardless of the outcome. The team that doesnt win can see what needs to be done to get to the next level.

Anonymous said...

IGFA lost 4-0 - true. It was a very young team. Now, after the winter training, they should be in a better shape.
Also, got a goalie (finally) - this will make defense more confident and eliminate many ridiculous goals they got against.

However, I believe they still need 1-2 seasons to match top teams' level. But I would not underestimate them.

Think - Americans will win by 1-2 goals.

Anonymous said...

Hey Mr know it all (7:33)... GFA did lies to Americans, that much you do know but that's where your knowledge stops.. It's not the same team. #1 at that time they were only together for a few months. #2 there were 3-4 girls missing that game.#3 they had no goalie... So before you open your mouth please get the facts straight. With that said, I'm not taking anything away from Americans, they could still go out and beat them 4-0, who knows, I doubt it I think it will be a much closer game than that. One thing I do know is that you don't know sh#*.. So you really should keep your stupid comments and predictions to yourself.. GFA has it's work cut out for them this year, no doubt. Hopefully they do well.. They don't have to win every game just compete well and be in every game..

Anonymous said...

Therefore it is important to never judge a team by evaluating the score of one game...it is best to look at the whole season...Any given day...at any given moment...situations occur...weather..officials...illness...injury are factors that scores can not measure... all of the top ten teams are capable of winning the state cup...health, luck, skill, and intrinsic motivation will play a key part..weather, field conditions, officials, coaching and obnoxious parents will too impact the game...that's why play the game...go Jersey girls soccer!!!

Anonymous said...

Very well said!! I couldn't agree more..

Anonymous said...

Haha 10:05am with the aggressive defensive response.

Probably because 7:33 speaks the truth and IGFA are already starting to make excuses. Everybody in NJ wants you to lose to Stronghold and not even make it to the 2nd round.

IGFA are the newly most hated parents and team... And it's all their own doing.

Anonymous said...

No one hates GFA...they iddiots like you that stir muck...Because of numbnuts luke you girls get hurt parents become bitter and rumors stir...go jersey girls soccer!!!

Anonymous said...

Leave IGFA alone as you can see they have a hard enough time of making sense in their posts.

Anonymous said...

If somebody starts hating the IGFA team because of this BLOG, that is really a strong reason. I hope there are few who are judging or hating the whole group as there are many girls & parents who have nothing to do with this blog (many of them don't even know about it). They just go to practice, spend money & time, hoping girls will develop physically, mentally to be successful not just in soccer but more important - in life.

Anyone who is a normal person should wish all girls (not just GFA) to have success and happiness in their lives.

Please don't make broad statements and generalize for the whole region. Keep your hate inside you. Or, go exercise - this helps to release stress you apparently accumulated and now trying to spread out on others.

You all have fun & great season. Hopefully, nobody gets injured and girls can have a great summer.

Please all - calm down and have fun in your life.

I'm looking for information about the team and the coach.....not the contact information. I have already heard not so good things about the team but I wasn't sure

Anonymous said...

Coach was thrown out of Cranford and restarted te at MPD then was thrown out agin so had to restart under his trainers name. Not a good team with lots if ?????? On how a team is throw out of clubs in back to back years. There r much better options out there.

Anonymous said...

What causes a team get thrown out of a club? So is the trainer the coach too?.......I thought the trainer was a different person; but I cannot find out any information on him

Anonymous said...

Club is run by Splash coach how bad can it be?

Anonymous said...

My daughter used to play for this team. I would never recommend to go there... Be careful if you don't want your daughter to hate soccer. My daughter almost lost it. The coach is actually not too bad. The trainer is the "c???y" one - so think twice. He was the main reason why the team is chasing places where they accept iffy behavior. And trust - forget about it.

Anonymous said...

Is MANHATTAN happening? anyone knows? Have they ever canceled or rescheduled the event?

Anonymous said...

Thanks for sharing this information.........what do you mean "the "c????y" one, iffy behavior and "trust" forget about it?

Anonymous said...

I heard the splash coach is holding tryouts at b elite. Any truth to that.

Anonymous said...

Dad - or mom - I wouldnt take Chaos down from your "maybe" list just off some sniping on a forum.

Judge the coach from the tryout and from your conversation. Not from some message board fodder.

Anonymous said...

You people are so gullible. The same people answering the questions are the ones who are asking them. Just checked the IP addresses. Same computer. Obviously someone who was turned down for the A team.

Anonymous said...

Go get them moderator. It's about time you do your job.

Anonymous said...

There's nothing wrong in asking questions and there's nothing wrong in asking people for their opinion......doesn't mean you're going to take it; but there are other people who have information that can be helpful

Second, it doesn't matter if the moderator get involved or not.....we not saying or discussing anying in a deratory way....we' not mentioning names. But isn't the whole point of this blog to anonymously share information that can help parents who are looking for answers? As far as your response about making the A team that doesn't make a lot of sense either because I didn't think tryouts were until the spring of each year - last time I checked this is Febraury.

Anonymous said...

Moderator should not be a new "NSA". Unless you want to make people less "free" in their blogs. Just a suggestion. Don't worry about IPs. I am shocked you have so much free time.

Anonymous said...

That is a troll, not the moderator. Nobody is checking IP addresses!

Anonymous said...

You may not be able to identify individuals, however, you can tell what ip addresses are sending messages. Many of these questions are being answered from the same computer that asked the question. That is what you call a troll. See, you can't just call somebody out on your own, but if somebody asks, then it's free game to spew some bitterness and negativity. There sure is plenty of that coming from the few who actually read and post here. Fewer than you think.
Actually did some research and on this blog, 80% of the posts come from only 13 different ip addresses.

Anonymous said...

And 100% of the stupid comments apparently come from one person who wastes time checking IP addresses on a blog. Or at least pretends to.

Anonymous said...

Well now this is very interesting - if you checked ip addresses and communicated with the moderator for the blog then you must be a coach - better yet -who else has access to determine what ip addresses are communicating on this board....wow i didn't think this kind of survelience activity was monitored by coaches - I would think you have better use of your time somewhere else.

Anonymous said...

Better use of time? Wasting time? You are joking, right?
This is a blog about 12 and 13 year old girls, with posts coming from parents and coaches, with few comments being of any use whatsoever, and I'm wasting time by bringing to light the reality of what is being written. You should be thanking me for exposing this nonsense, unless of course you are one of the 13 volume posters.

Anonymous said...

You don't sound like a parent so I'm going to ask you the question: who do you think are the top 10 teams in the state at the U13/U14 level

Anonymous said...

You said, 80% of the posts come from only 13 different ip addresses?

If you don't mind asking you a question, how many distinct IP addresses do you have for all responses? I wonder how many people actually read this blog.

Are your analysis smart enough to group the responses by the level of positivism? There are some users who really like to abuse this communication channel. Maybe you could block their responses automatically?

Anonymous said...

You also forget, people use smartphones now, laptops at home, and laptops at work. So, you estimate could be slightly off.

This actually makes me happy because last couple weeks post were just too negative. This just proves that it comes from a limited group of people. Looks like other parents are more "normal" and see this web site as a way to share information or to make good, positive comments.

Anonymous said...

Now this new Informations explain the attack to some teams like PDA / GFA/ brick etc.. Where parents were accused of ruining the images of the teams but as I suspected and mentioned many times everything was just a built up from some few miserable people.

Anonymous said...

9:10 pm

OK so here are a couple of tests.

1) Tell me my IP address for this post.
2) I will post again later, tell me when I have posted again.

If you can do that, you are either the moderator, or friend of the moderator.

Where the heck you seeing that forecast? NYC says 33 Saturday with some flurries but barely a wind so 32 wind chill and then 36 Sunday with sun and no wind or 36 as the wind chill. Overnight is only 21 so the early games are very cold, but let's not exaggerate.

Success of someone's club depends on the audience:
Parents = Winning for 99%. It's justifies the dollars spent. It allows for bragging at a cocktail party that precious' team did this, or is on the "a" team or part of "x" club.
Kids = having fun, enjoying the game, being with kids that they have become friends with. Sure many want to win but they want to do it with friends and have fun doing it.
Clubs = development. They focus on winning to lure people in, but can't solely focus on winning since every team is generally made up of a few talented players surrounded by role players. so the players need to focus on development from a club perspective to justify dollars spent and rationalize training programs. Every team (parents don't kid yourselves - even the winningest teams have a just a few true stars)is like this. But the business model isn't sustainable if focused on a few. So clubs preach player development in order to keep everyone coming back though the parents generally have no basis to judge if development is happening or not (other than the eye test or what they think they see or want to see out of their child), and those that win attract more kids. Those that don't see players (usually their parents) look to change teams.

Anonymous said...

oh...and clubs also define success as getting as many parents as possible asking for additional costly supplemental training to "develop" their daughter. That and ensuring there are enough hot moms in workout attire during games, scrimmages, and pick-up/drop-of from training.

Why in the world would you wish ill will on a bunch of kids.
The weather will be what the weather is. manhattan will make the
correct decision for the safety and well being of their own kids and the kids from the other clubs.

I'm a die hard, there's no doubt but there is no way this tournament should be played this weekend. Thursday night it's going to be 12 with wind chill zero or below. Friday highs in the low 20's and with wind chill it will be in the single digits. Sat there is a 40% chance of snow and highs are in the low 30's with wind chill in the 20's...sat night will be 10-15. Sunday morning is low 20's and windy. They say it will feel like zero degrees. Iam very familiar with these fields as I'm sure most of you are and it's always 5-10 colder there then inland. The fields are going to be like playing on concrete. I think these kids are going to get hurt. It's stupid. I know they have a lot of time and money at stake but it's not soccer weather. 34-40 and sunny is ok. 0-20 no way..

Anonymous said...

Injuries will be high...girls shaking off the jitters...they will be unable to focus due to the weather conditions... however the soccer folks of Manhattan will not want to cancel because of the money involved... I really do hop they cancel... as for Todd...do your research... you will find one Academy that is Nonprofit and competes at a high level...that's right 501c...let it be nameless...and you will see that in that particular place... it is about development... if you find it check it out for yourself...the atmosphere is about development and family...not about moms in yoga pants or additional training cost...one flat fee and high level training...mums is the word...research it and you will be surprised on how well and friendly the atmosphere is...nonprofit and soccer ....who knew....

oh yea.....like discussing Moms in yoga pants is staying on topic.....get over yourselves.

The weather conditions are important for our daughters playing...I'm afraid the previous blogger was right...injuries could be high, sickness from running around in 20 degree weather....I don't know who at Mahanttan Kickoff thought it was a good idea to run a tournament the first weekend in March in the Northeast?????

I think our concern should be how we protect our daughters with these weather conditions.....the comment about Al Roker is funny and if you can't digress off your own lives for a second to find humor in that comment then suffice it say you have no sense of humor.

It's going to feel like 10 degrees this weekend. Hey manhatten cancel the tourney. It will be hard to watch.

Can somebody forward me the research that shows an increase in injuries from playing soccer or any other sport in cold weather. This is the first I have heard of this phenomenon. I agree it sucks but are you more worried about the kids or just you freezing your arse off on the sidelines?
btw
Can we get the moderator to check the IP address of the person who made the Al Roker comment? He/she needs to be be forced to post more funny stuff like that.
