If GFA is that good they will be at the PDA College Showcase in May. Do we even know if they applied to the either tournament?

I originally read about the MF girl being called into National Team Camp on MF's Twitter page... that was before the lists were published. So may not be parent posting necessarily.

She was the only local player called up to THE national team camp. Whomever wrote that it was not a big deal really has no idea what they are talking about. It's a HUGE deal and we would all want that for our daughters. I don't know this girl, seems like lots of issues finding her right place.

Anonymous said...

"10:26 and 2:52 please stop. PDA can decide whatever they want and it is all good. the teams accepted in the tournament are the best around and their parents are the best possible. happy now? good luck to all teams involved and have a good season everybody. Now stop sending provocative messages just to start problems. It is all good . everybody is happy"

You're a MORON. Yeah, everyone remembers how Jackson has such great parents. LOL! As far as some of the accepted teams being "the best all around", Keep spewing the stupidity.

Anonymous said...

MF girl wasn't the best player on her middle school team. It is a huge deal to you only Dad. Quit boasting about your girl and let her play for fun.

Anonymous said...

Nobody cares!

Anonymous said...

Pretty good middle school team, was it?

By the way - who looks at a middle school team and even asks themselves or others who the top player is?

You need to stop compartmentalizing kids

Anonymous said...

There had to be a reason (probably a business one) to reject GFA that has been performing well. There is no other explanation why this team should not be accepted. Especially if SJEB, Brick, and COPA have made it. This team is at least at their level. In any case, the decision looks very "cheap"...

Anonymous said...

World Class played GFA at the end of the last year (0:0) and had no problem inviting GFA girls to their invitational tournament. But how can you compare the World Class with the PDA? It is simply a class. World Class really tries to develop girls by exposing their teams to anyone who can represent a challenge or be at least a good experience during the development process. PDA's #1 focus is probably business. Players are just instruments to make this organization profitable.

Anonymous said...

Yeah that is it. PDA was only the top soccer club in the country at placing D1 recruits among the top 150 players.

Anonymous said...

Okay numbers guy calculate the rate between those that play at PDA to those that play and make D1. It looks like there are more that support the system then those that benefit from it.

Anonymous said...

I read this board on a daily basis about the bickering of whose team is great and whose team is terrible or how great NJ is overall. Just food for thought, when was the last major tournament one of these great teams made an impact? Delco,Stars of Mass, Spirit, Wags, Bethesda Jeff Cup? While we argue back and forth and players move all over the place teams from surrounding states are clealy advancing. That is reality.

Anonymous said...

I wonder if you have PDA stats on how many players have been actually developed by the academy. Do you have stats on how many have been replaced with players who are out there and train with other teams that compete and play games frequently rather than sing about their fancy brand name.

Anonymous said...

95% of PDA players are trained at IGFA then transfer to PDA. The other 5% are home grown.

Anonymous said...

Thanks for the sarcasm. But looks like you got the message.

Anonymous said...

Pda has three fields open for practice tomorrow

What's on your fields ?

Or do you even have any of your own?

Anonymous said...

Nice job STA getting some fields to play some of the schedule this weekend.

Anonymous said...

STA was cancelled

Anonymous said...

yeah....ok

Anonymous said...

WC develops players! Are you High, most of the players in the current team came from the Americans, Crush and NY.
1/2 of the team was cut... And you call it Development?

Anonymous said...

They also let go of the daddy coach.

No development going on there

Blogging about players and sending direct comments to people are two different animals so don't get them mixed slick. Besides the blog has never mentioned anything that wasn't true like ball hogging and not being the best on her old teams all of which is true never mind the fact that she is not a team player.

I was told by our DOC that the age group change could happen as early as this summer. I guess it's good timing for us as our kids are going to high school. My question is this - what about the older girls who have to now move to an older team and may not make one of the top teams. This is a critical time for college recruitment? Sounds like all of the older girls who had the advantage for last last 6 years may now be on the other side. Not sure I understand it.

Anonymous said...

Wouldnt clubs have the option of keeping current teams the same?

Have the U14s play as 2000s (obviously with 2001s on the team)

U13s as '01s (with '02s on the team), etc......

Anonymous said...

Hi there a friend pointed me to these boards in hopes i could get some advise. my daughter was just offered a spot on an pretty good club team that competes in the ECN league. I've researched it and it seems that in many cases its the most competitive play around. The coach told me about the college recruiting done at that level. I'm confident in her ability to earn her playing minutes, i think she's quite good though I'm her dad. So thats a bit of a concern the playtime but we've been through that before. the bigger concern is the impact on her; she plays for a great EDP NPL team right now, has great training, loves her teammates, the travel is pretty reasonable, everything is within an hour or two. and she enjoys it. and school is for sure the higher priority.

how much of an impact is ECNL , the driving, on family time, their free time, etc. ? is it worth it?

I'm 50/50. She's 50/50. been asking around and trying to learn as much as possible and would love to hear the thoughts of those who have been through it, and hope some on ECNL teams might tell me why maybe its worth it or not worth it.

Thank you

Anonymous said...

It is such a disservice to all u14 girls to implement this now. If they want to do it, they should start this with u12s on down so they have an adjustment period before the recruiting years. That said, the older girls no longer benefit from being 1-11 months older at this age level. The 2000s may be getting the better end of this as the u15 age group is not as saturated and arguably there are not as many strong players there and we are only talking about those u15s born in 2000.Half of the current u15s will have to move up! The 2001s will have to blend with some strong u13s so both face some uncertainty. The last problem is in the recruiting. You will have recruiting classes cut in half between age groups now where there are now only a handful of girls playing outside of their recruiting year. Since more girls will play in college than on the national team i am not sure I understand the point. I have been told it is because that is what they do on the boys side. well maybe they have it wrong on the boy side. However you do this, you will have a range of 12 months on a team.

Anonymous said...

Does she want a big 10 school? then go ecnl. If you are just thinking good d1, d2 or d3 as long as she is on a very strong team and she communicates with coaches at the schools she is interested in she will get there if she has the talent. ECNL is well respected by the college community but with or without it good players get seen and recruited. Have been through it and have seen many go through it. You will see a firestorm of arguments on here all with some validity underneath the childish arguments. Check the rosters at the schools she might be interested in and see where the majority of the current girls played.

Anonymous said...

I would agree with the last post. If she is looking at a major D1, ECNL will give her the exposure. If that isn't a priority, then she can still get where she wants if she is good enough through her EDP NPL team. It is a matter of choice.

Anonymous said...

Question is

does a player ever hurt herself by moving to ECNL and getting much less PT?

Anonymous said...

If they are going to make the change for 2015-2016 then there will be announcements with tryouts. Thats how it happened with the boys DA. It is getting late to make these announcements. I don't think they will change once the teams are picked. So iof nothing comes out in the next month then i would suspect the earliest would be 2016

Anonymous said...

The dad asking the question obviously doesnt care about college yet

Dad - that ECNL team started you off with the college pitch is evidence of a big sales ploy.

This is not to say ECNL is the wrong move, but they have high roster numbers and dont always play everyone.

Impossible for anyone to give you perfect advice without knowing the exact teams and her level of play.

Would she be able to RETURN if ECNL didnt work out? If not, its a risk.

Congratulations for having her recognized.

Ok ---- Any predications for Jefferson Cup

Hoping that Brick will not go winless, they lost their only goal scorer. Believe all games will be close games but they have struggled to score in the past and without this player they have no chance, unless they bring their best back forward.

Really hope this prediction is wrong. Want the NJ teams to all do well!!!!!

Safe travels and good luck!

Anonymous said...

Brick has lost players in the past, they will be fine. A lot of good players on their roster.

Anonymous said...

955 be humble with accomplishments especially when the claims are not true. Modesty is the best policy. Now you get a life mr.pda

Anonymous said...

Where did brick player go?

Anonymous said...

Rumor has it that the brick player went to PDA Splash.

Good move if she is in the top 8 players

Anonymous said...

Seeing how Brick is the whipping boy as of late,I'll start with Elite Black Group A. Tomorrow assessment of other brackets.

If Brick gets by CFC then it should be an easy run for the bracket.CFC beat American Blue Blaze 3-2 (now the Stallions.)
CFC tied SJEB at Jeff cup last year
1-1
Although a lightly played team with only 13 games.

Cont,FC Delco has a high percentage of wins and 47 goals in 20 games. They were Champs at Jeff Cup last year.
Beat Real Galaxy 2-1
Delco also beat Brick at Spirit Kickoff Classic last year 2-0 and FC Copa 1-0. poor showing for Copa.
I'm afraid I don't see any Jersey teams coming home a winner, maybe win a bracket or two.
We will see!

Anonymous said...

Who do sjeb and igfa play? I would think they should do well.

Anonymous said...

Continental FC Delco ECNL is 1-10-2 with a -21 GD
Weak team

Anonymous said...

That tells you how teams like Copa and Brick would do if they were in ECNL.

Anonymous said...

Guess that would go for IGFA and STA too.

Anonymous said...

STA, Yikes, what happened there...7th bracket...NJ Crush 5th bracket, no more Crush FC, no more Blue blaze (not counting stallions, while most players went there not all and there's a different coach) all you maniacs that have been on this blog since U11, see what a couple of years can do and we haven't even fully hit HS yet...everybody relax and have fun watching your daughters. Maybe next year she'll break your heart and she'll say she wants to quit.

While I'm here and on my soapbox,
I never understood parents that went on here and puffed their chests. First off it's as if they themselves are playing and not their daughters. Not saying it's not OK to be proud, but why so boastful? Why the need to feel so superior to everyone that is going about this journey different than you? There are many times I have seen my daughter both won and lost and after the handshakes talk to other players on the opposite team that she may have met at ODP camp or other regional camps and smile and discuss the game. Yes, sometimes while I simmer about the game, she is over it and ready to work towards next one. Support your daughter and not live vicariously through her.
And two, those boastful, braggard parents must have never played high level sports. if they had they would know there is always someone or some team better than you and your team can be beaten on any given day. Bad bounce or misses opportunity here or there and you're losing 1-nil. One of the reasons they call this the beautiful game is the respect the players have for each other and the colors they play for. All the polar opposite qualities most people who post on this blog display.
I'm done good bye.

In gotsoccer PDA looks fantastic but if you factor in ecnl it's far from pretty but then again they won't plug those games in just the points

Anonymous said...

gotsoccer is very different from ECNL results. No where to hide or pad your standings in ECNL league, very few weak teams.

Anonymous said...

So why is PDA not putting in their wins and losses for ECNL they submitted points but where are the wins losses goals for and against? Should that be part of data too? Can care less but just saying.

Anonymous said...

PDA doesn't care about Got Soccer points.

Anonymous said...

They are just worried about losing to NJ teams

Anonymous said...

Keep telling yourself that.

Anonymous said...

Come on little Billito it's okay just chalk the wins and losses that correspond with the points you tabulated so that we can see all of of your losses and goals against ...everyone else does...don't be shy mi amorsito

Looks like nj is having a less than stellar performance at the Jefferson Cup. Brick drops both games. GFA is doing well. Both all others look to be struggling.

Anonymous said...

It seems that New Jersey teams didn't do that great at Jefferson cup in general . What you guys think

Anonymous said...

Brick games were very close in scoring and could have gone different with a littl bit of luck. Nobody dominated brick's game.
They are still one of the best team .

Anonymous said...

No NJ teams in top bracket. Two in 2nd bracket and one of them won it... I'd say we did the best we could! Congrats IGFA, exciting year ahead for you. Outstanding team and results this weekend.

Anonymous said...

Outside of the home teams playing in the top bracket finals. Most of the other bracket finals (that were able to play all of the games) had a PA or NJ team in it. You can also look at the fact that it was a mix of ECNL and Non-ECNL teams playing in the finals. NY teams had it tough this weekend with NYSC on the wrong end of some 1-0 games. World class, HBC & GBFC I'm sure will bounce back as the NY fields thaw out.

Region 1 has some excellent U 14 players.

Anonymous said...

Every top bracket had an ECNL team in the final and they all win with the exception of second bracket where IGFA won. The only non ECNL team. It shows that ECNL is the powerhouse

So based upon past experience, does the Jackson contingent that is now playing for Brick, start to look to other places to play?

Why attack the coach, the team has always adjusted to losing players, he does a good job of working the phones and finding players that are good but not enjoying their current situation.

It was only a matter of time before this team began to move faster down the slippery slope. They are still a very good team, but just not the same team they once were, and in the end will probably just fade into the sunset in the next year or so. I hope that is not the case but it happens too often with teams at this age.

Anonymous said...

The Brick coaches should be embarrassed about the CFC loss. They scored what should have been the game winner with about 3 minutes left, and failed to change formation, strategy, and personnel. Yes, the defender made a horrible mistake, but this one is squarely on the coaches.

Anonymous said...

Always blame the coach!

Anonymous said...

If 5:29 isn't a Brick parent, I'd be shocked!!! Way to throw your coach under the bus.

Anonymous said...

Why all the conversation on Brick again? They'll be just fine. As an average team. Only two losses all year don't ya know? These games didn't count, it was their spring pre season.

To sum up NJ this weekend in one word? Exposed. Stay in Nj and tell yourselves just how good all the teams and players are. Although have to give igfa props, had a great weekend and well deserved win vs quality competition.

Meanwhile, quietly, PA had a great weekend. While Bucks faltered (and frankly anyone could with that competition) the rest of the flights that mattered had PA representation in the finals vs quality competition. Maybe the NJ posters can take a cue from that. Just let them go play without the weight of parent expectations or constant declarations on how great the nj teams are.

Anonymous said...

3/16 @ 5:29 guess you go to all the Brick games stalker? Brick gave up the game tying goal late not loss but maybe to you a win in a game that means nothing as far as the tournament goes would make you feel better but I'm sure when they aren't playing for anything they are using this to get ready for their season as any other smart team would. You watched them so closely then tell us what formation they were playing in the 2nd half or even 1st for that matter as I'm sure you don't even know just someone with an agenda & personal grudge. Worry about your own team as NJ, CT & NY didn't due well as they would normally & I'm sure not getting enough or even any time outside affected their play. Cudos to the teams that did get outside or a preseason tourney under their belt before going there as it showed in their play. I expect WC, NYSC, CFC & Brick to play much better as the season goes on & finish where they always do.

Anonymous said...

BRIck and COPA and stallions are still the best teams in Nj . And watch out for Tsf they are coming! They have a midfielder that is national material. IGFA just a lucky weekend.

Anonymous said...

To say igfa was lucky is really bad form on you. My daughter's team played them, and I saw them play very well, and very aggressive soccer. I do agree that we will see better soccer as the girls get outside more. My daughter's team hasn't played a game since Nov and it really showed.

Anonymous said...

Tsf dad go back to sleep please , take your midfielder national daughter with you.

Anonymous said...

GFA was a good team in the past. However, the team had goalie which did not help them in tough situations. Now, with the new one, it is difficult to score against this team. For instance, the team let only one goal during the Jeff Cup this weekend (the 2nd highest bracket). Teams such as CENTURY UNITED PRE ACADEMY, GRAND RAPIDS, and HBC had a tough time breaking the defense and amazing goalie. Even PENN FUSION SA '00G ECNL could not score a single goal. GFA's offense is very dangerous and strikes quickly. Midfield is not the strongest but will eventually improve as well.

Anonymous said...

Copa lost there goalie to splash

Anonymous said...

Where did the Splash goalie go?

Anonymous said...

I believe Copa GK went to Hornets, not Splash.

Anonymous said...

I do believe as many do starting around U12/13/14 coaches can out coach other coaches and win/lose. I have seen it on the field, in matches. So to think a coach does not have an outcome on a match is insane, of course they do, however no idea if Brick coach is responsible, and of course girls at 13 years old will make mistakes. But it is like blaming a GK after 10 players are passed....... Now,, GFA, lets give credit, great team obviously. they just keep winning. GFA really talks the talk

Anonymous said...

GFA win streak due to their new amazing goalie who came in the fall.

Best goalie is the new splash goalie from copa period.
Brick goalie is one of the best too.
I agree coaches at high level have an influence on winning or losing the game.
lots of good coaches out there in my opinion

Anonymous said...

No great gain for splash and no great loss for COPA. Have played that team for several years. Goalie has great hands but can not cover top 25% of net. We always shoot high against her and have had good success.

Anonymous said...

keepers really make a difference at this age especially. they are normally bigger, stronger and fearless. so Yes, the new GFA keeper is GREAT. I believe she won something in Florida with super Y as well. In general a great keeper can actually stop a play from developing, then having great skills is just the topper.

Anonymous said...

GFA goalie is the best, Copa goalie is the best!! I love these parents that try to build up their 13 year old girls. Seen them both and both are short and stocky. Any good striker can place the ball right by them with very little effort. They might be good for bearing children in the future but if you're looking for a goalie, she better be tall and athletic...period! The best goalies are on the ODP regional and national teams. Until your little princesses make those teams, you're just blowing smoke up their butts and your own. Til then, keep dreaming for a college scholarship. #DREAMERS

Anonymous said...

You have crossed the line with that comment. WTF your an A$$.

There are a lot of talented goalies within this age group, a thankless position, one mistake and it could stand out and make the difference in a game. It takes a lot for these girls to play and do well in this position, both physically and mentally. If you haven't seen the goalie for a better than average town team (Pt Pleasant) you will, she could be one of the best in the state and I'm quite surprised that she has not been recruited by an ECNL type of team.

This blog is about opinions as is all of social media, but one person's opinion is just that, one person's opinion. Don't fret over it. IMHO many of the people that post on here are either clueless/jealous, or parents that more than likely never achieved much on the athletic side, or coaches defending their team or their decisions that are commented on, or just jacka$$e$ that want to stir all of you up.

This is mostly just high comedy to me, I have seen many of the teams play that are talked about or mentioned on here. IMHO there is a vast amount of talent in this age group on many teams. And on any given day any team in the top 30 or so can compete against any other team. And the gap between these teams is getting smaller and smaller as they get older.

Just watch the games and enjoy the little time you have left to watch your child play. Do you remember when they were playing U9? Seems like yesterday --- How quickly did that time go by?

Good Luck to every player and team this spring season, hope you achieve all of your goals and that you all improve.

Anonymous said...

2:17 What an @ss you are.. Talking that way about 13 year old girls. On a side note, I guess you haven't seen the IGFA goalie. Not short or stocky

Anonymous said...

"If you haven't seen the goalie for a better than average town team (Pt Pleasant) you will, she could be one of the best in the state and I'm quite surprised that she has not been recruited by an ECNL type of team."

Pt. Pleasant?? A "better than average town team"?? If the goalie is as good as you say, then her coach and parents are doing her a HUGE disservice by keeping her on this REC team. This team isn't anywhere close to being on the radar in this age group. Of course, being clueless, you're going to tell me "BUT, they won the state cup!" Right? They won NO legitimate State Cup. They won a meaningless, low level tournament that some politician decided would be called yet another State Cup. There is ONLY ONE State Cup. Be honest with yourself, please. Keep ducking the true top competition, like you do with the real team right next door.

Anonymous said...

2:17, I enjoy a good post and normally get a chuckle but really, this is really how you think? You are a sad excuse for a parent/player/coach.

Anonymous said...

3:17 The one that I saw is both short and stocky. Maybe we're not talking about the same girl. How tall is the one you're talking about?

Anonymous said...

Hey 2:17...you have some serious issues. You are talking about child bearing?? These girls are 14 years old you waste!! I would say you are a disturbed human being who probably is over compensating since you were not given enough attention by Mommy or Daddy!! #NUTJOB

Anonymous said...

5:06 Thanks for the diagnosis Sigmund Freud, but if you think I'm going to let some grandiose parents brag about their 5' goalies being the best in the state, then you're the nut job. As soon as I read that post (and stopped laughing after 15 minutes) I simply responded to that nonsense. As is my right to do.

We will love to score against your sorry poor point pleasant team at any time I would predict at least 7-0 easily with our 7 and your 11!Town teams talking smack LMAO. 11 v 11 your daughter at GK would have no chance at all luckily for you and for the sake your daughter that game will never take place because you will never be in a top bracket or quality league. So keep playing MOSA where pump and dump is the only strategy that is played. And like the last poster said what a disservice if you keep her in the low level bubble so she can shine. Point pleasant who... All we know about that place is Snooky and Jwow what a farce

Anonymous said...

7:51 Then your kid would fit right in at Point Pleasant, because Snooky is short and stocky too.

Anonymous said...

Lmao trailers trash guy just saw your teams sorry history and the only team worth mentioning are wildcats and Vernon and they are the best of the worst ... Keep drinking that point pleasant koolaid and bring your squad to meet real teams and watch your keeper get shelled.

Anonymous said...

I hear Snooki likes to play it out of the back when she's in the net.
Nobody scores on her.

Anonymous said...

8:25 Which team are you affiliated with?

Anonymous said...

I see the spring silly season has started.

Anonymous said...

What is the "legitimate" state cup please?? from learning parent.......

you're going to tell me "BUT, they won the state cup!" Right? They won NO legitimate State Cup.

Anonymous said...

7:51, you are an A$$.
Just because you think your daughter's team is that much better than Point Pleasant, why do you feel the need to put them down. All the poster said was, the goalie from PP is very good.
Stop being an A$$ worry about your daughter's team.
Douchebag

Anonymous said...

Legitimate cup is EDP open cup? Or current US club cup in premier groups? Trying to figure out what that one poster was saying. To all the rest, be assured you will find many ***holes on these blogs

Anonymous said...

I guess you support his child bearing comments as well as his Idea that the GK who plays against low level teams is a good player... Most of those players that play jags are good when comparing them to players from the same Rec. League. Once they step out of that level of play.... They will be less likely to look as goo

Anonymous said...

1:02 In his defense, he didn't say childbearing. He said, "maybe that's good for childbearing in the future."

Anonymous said...

Stop defending the ass

Anonymous said...

Let's change topics. Who is pleased with the training that their daughter gets. You hear a lot about different approaches. Would like to know what approach your daughter's coach takes and do you think it is good.

My daughter's coach just has them scrimmage small sided the whole time. 5v5 or 5v5 with a neutral. Some parents think that he is just lazy but I like that he is letting them try things out and learn from their own mistakes against quality internal competition. Also, it is generally good for game fitness - but he certainly isn't working on skills or tactics. At this age, girls should be developing skills on their own, but I think a little time on tactics and positioning could be helpful.

what team?

"What is the LEGITIMATE State Cup please?? From learning parent..."

The only true State Cup, is what they call the National Championship Series. See this link:
http://events.gotsport.com/events/resultsgrid.aspx?EventID=40959&GroupID=385424

The other "State Cups" are meaningless, and get you nothing more than a nifty jacket.
If you are truly a "learning parent". see this link for an idea of what teams matter in the state/region/country:
http://home.gotsoccer.com/rankings/results.aspx?Level=State&Gender=Girls&Age=14&Region=1&State=NJ

You'll note that Pt. Pleasant is nowhere to be found. And for good reason. Quality of opponents. If your daughter is good enough, see the coach from the next town over. The one that your coach has been trying to shield you from all of these years. THAT'S where she belongs. let me know if you have further questions, and best of luck!

Anonymous said...

Wow things are that bad at exit 88?

Anonymous said...

What does that even mean??

Dumbass.

Anonymous said...

There is no exit 88 any more.

Anonymous said...

There are no youth soccer teams that "matter" to anyone other that the players on them and their opponents of the moment.

Anonymous said...

And of course the folks making a living off of them.

Anonymous said...

Yeah they discontinued exit 88.. hoping everyone would miss 88 and keep heading south!!
Costco filed a protest.

Anonymous said...

Go to the Wildcats they take anyone..

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

Someone is looking to stir the pot but no one will bite ...JH we saw your sad leaving the hotel... The look said it all

Anonymous said...

A good move for the point pleasant keeper

Anonymous said...

Splash can be beaten by any top 5 NJ team on any given day. Don't kid yourself koolaid drinker. How did they do last season? And COPA is a joke and is NOT a top 5 team. Top 5 in no order...

Barons
Brick
GFA
PDA
Stallions

Several state cup games scheduled for today. Are they still on?

Holmdel vs match fit was scheduled on grass. They should have moved game to MF denvil fields.

Watchung v wildcats scheduled on turf

Stronghold vs Jackson not sure

Anonymous said...

Where did the point goalie go

Anonymous said...

Holmdel was scheduled on turf. Moved up North.

Anonymous said...

When pda brings in MR to coach ,she will have every top u14 girl in nj at her tryouts and then they will be #1

Anonymous said...

MR. ????

Anonymous said...

Wildcats win 4-1.

Anonymous said...

Whose MR?

Anonymous said...

What is the state cup site for results?

Anonymous said...

Go Wildcats!! Good job girls ! Still one of the best in Nj!!

Anonymous said...

newjerseycup.net

Anonymous said...

Newjerseycup.net
MR is Meredith Rooney. She is great!

Anonymous said...

LOL! Beating a Watchung rec team does not = "still one of the best in NJ".

Anonymous said...

That is very funny posting a 4-1 win against a rec. team...

Anonymous said...

Wildcats are a good team just like any other town team in the area.

Anonymous said...

Flames are not a rec team. They are a travel team that work very hard and take it just as serious as everybody else.

Anonymous said...

Flames are a glorified rec. Team like the hornets and Madrid

Anonymous said...

I don't know why a person would come on here and put a team down. Are you that insecure? I don't care who you play for, what you pay, how many wins or losses you have, what league your in, ect....Most if not all the teams are training hard and playing to win and become a better player.

Anonymous said...

Freehold/Brick tie 0-0

Anonymous said...

NJX 2-1 OT/MFA

Anonymous said...

STA 1 NYSC 0

Anonymous said...

That is a great result for freehold

Anonymous said...

Brick and freehold should merge together build a super team .

Anonymous said...

Please refrain from naming coaches .

Anonymous said...

"That is a great result for freehold"

Absolutely, considering Brick couldn't put in at least 3 basically empty net goals from between 8-16 yards out. Should have been an easy win. Still can't finish.

Anonymous said...

Freehold is a strong team , we could have won today.
Too many freehold haters around. We can play with anybody

Anonymous said...

keep telling yourself that, just like last year.

Anonymous said...

Congrats to the new No. 1 team in NJ - IGFA

Anonymous said...

Yeah, congrats! But don't get comfortable. Not to mention, now we'll actually get bonus points for beating you...again.

Anonymous said...

No worries nobody gets comfortable here. Just working.
You are welcome anytime. We shake hands at the end anyway.no problem

Anonymous said...

I think that is CRUSH talking about state cup play against IGFA.

Anonymous said...

Its not CRUSH

Anonymous said...

JH enjoy your downward descend and say hello to the stallions on your way down. They will be able to guide you with coping mechanisms for accepting the decline which is leading to the bitter resentment toward all non brick teams. Yes you may have one in the past but past results do not gaurantee future outcomes. The likely hood of returning to your winning ways at u12 are just that, games of the past. So move one already and worry about trying to win games which is something you have not done in a while. Maybe if you stayed off the blog and work on development you club would not be floundering around subpar playing.

Anonymous said...

trying to be 1,000 person post ....if I make it LIFE, IS GOOD!

Anonymous said...

LOL! Assumptions, assumptions. I guess you don't know what they say about those, now do you? And it's WON, not ONE. I guess you can't spell it correctly when you're not used to it yet. Oh yeah, and it's also guarantee. Did a 13 year old write this? ;-)

happily NOT JH

Anonymous said...

Freehold still losing players and still playing at a very high level. Coaching has to be doing something.

Anonymous said...

LOL! Assumptions, assumptions. I guess you don't recall what they say about those, do you? By the way, it's WON, not ONE. But I guess you wouldn't know how to spell it since your just now learning how to do it. Oh, and it's also guarantee. Did a 13 year old write that comment?
;-)

Yours Truly
NOT JH

Anonymous said...

so nice, had to be said twice!
LMAO

Anonymous said...

Jh should not be involved in brick soccer at all he has ruined it ... Hate to say this cs i should have listened to him ... We would have a good team prob #1 in state ... Brick girls cs trained left brick playing elsewhere .

Anonymous said...

JH knows soccer. Sorry your daughter could not hack the team. CS was all about his own daughter.

Anonymous said...

CS should have been the coach. He will be soon again.

Anonymous said...

JH has done a fine job guiding the team. He has created excellent soccer players that give the highest academies fits. They all know how to play the game. What more would you want? Besides your daughter on the team?

Anonymous said...

"CS should have been the coach. He will be soon again."

How in the world could that ever happen?? In an alternate dimension maybe? Please.

Anonymous said...

You will see... Lots of work underneath . Will see soon. JH should watch his back

Anonymous said...

sorry to interupt, but thought someone might be able to help. we're in the passaic county NJ area. our fields are swamped.
Wanted to find out if there were facilities that rent out turf or quality grass 8v8 and 11v11 fields. need to find some options for some games we need to play.
thank you in advance.

Anonymous said...

DTS rents out their fields both 8v8 and 11v11 in Somerset. You can also rent turf fields at a number of high schools, but they will not be able to handle 8v8 for the most part.

Try the private schools as well. They generally have nice facilities... Again 8v8 may be the challenge.

Anonymous said...

Try Sports friends Oval in wayne. they have a small sided turf field. 973-746-6887.

Anonymous said...

"You will see... Lots of work underneath . Will see soon. JH should watch his back"

He may coach the low level Lightning at this age group, but he could never get the Fury away from JH. Not in this lifetime.

Anonymous said...

This is so stupid. His daughter plays for MF anyway. He is not coaching anywhere.

Anonymous said...

"This is so stupid. His daughter plays for MF anyway. He is not coaching anywhere."

100% correct! Which I see is going very well. MF can't even beat an awful Holmdel team in the State Cup. What an embarrassment.

Anonymous said...

That had to have been the MF B team. Couldn't have been ECNL.

Anonymous said...

It's listed like this

"Match Fit Academy North East NPL"
Which is it?

Anonymous said...

North East NPL team is the B team. ECNL is the A team.

MF ECNL haven't entered the US Club State Cup.

Anonymous said...

Why call the Holmdel NJX team awful? NJX played PDA Splash to a 0-1 loss last spring... For all we know, they might beat Match Fit ECNL too. Maybe the NPL team would be the ECNL team. Nobody knows.

And Match Fit has managed to keep their ECNL team pretty much under lock and key. Nobody has seen them. But I have to imagine that the DOC is not happy that his NPL team lost in the first round of NJ Cup -- Guess he should have more thoughtful about which team he made his NPL team... maybe NJX should have been as they are an affiliated club...

Anonymous said...

The match fit npl team is the b team to the eCNL team they play in the northeast npl league against some great competition and played competitively against teams such as PDA world class penn fusion Boston breakers .
I am certain the MF president isn't happy losing first round to a team that probably should have been his NPL team all along (holmdel)

Anonymous said...

Umm, Holmdel doesn't win in EDP, how are they going to win in NPL? Unless, of course, EDP is actually as good or better.

Anonymous said...

Implication is that the dad will be given the team so the player will not leave.

Interesting - and certainly not unprecedented
