The consensus is that we had some good soccer at the MSC top flight. One by one:

- PDA had the best team and deserved to win
- MSC Crew was the most consistent team and deserved to be in the finals
- STA played well, and was unlucky conceding a goal in last seconds against Crew.
- NYSC was intimidated by PDA (lost 0-3), but had two good games after
- Brick deserved 2nd place in bracket (could have done better vs. NYSC)
- FC Bucks could have done better
- CFC did as expected
- NEFC was the only team that shouldn't have been in top tier (1-17 in goals)

Overall, great tournament

Anonymous said...

Looks like World Class maybe should have been flighted higher..

A 7-0 win (or was that a misprint?) and a 4-1 win in finals of second flight

Anonymous said...

I agree World Class should have been in top flight over NEFC for sure.

Anonymous said...

How come the Americans didn't go to the MSC tournament?

Anonymous said...

#8 is tops in my book!

Anonymous said...

NJ teams take 1st, 3rd, 4th & 5th flights. I thought NJ was weak? How come FC Bucks didn't win? Saying NJ teams are not top teams is a real miscalcualtion.

Anonymous said...

Miscalculation sorry typo.

Anonymous said...

To the 9:45am poster ---

It is obvious that you are the Brick Coach, so why don't you just sign your post? I'm sure PDA didn't play their top players the whole game on Sunday and they must have clearly out played you. My guess would be that you were able to sneak in a cheap goal. So i am sure most who saw you play would say the same

Anonymous said...

Top teams go South, not North, to play soccer in Feb/1st March. Or play very close to home.

Anonymous said...

It must have been brutal this past weekend with the temp and the wind?

Anonymous said...

To the 2:03pm poster:

You're right: PDA kept a low profile in Sunday's game with Brick. It was a good decision, as PDA had much more energy in the final than Manhattan Crew, who had a very tight and physical game with FC Brick then a PK shootout.

Still, Brick played well and deserved 2nd place in their bracket, more than NYSC.

Anonymous said...

Not sure of the connection from post 9:45am post to Brick Coach? Brick is not even mentioned? Someone is clearly jealous of Brick for some reason? Keep personnal agendas off the blog & to yourself no one cares. Not from Brick but have seen them play & they have beaten PDA before as has STA twice, SJEB etc. Must be one of those Jackson-Freehold people who like to bash to draw attention away fron their train wrecks of teams.

Anonymous said...

Sorry meant STA & SJEB have also beaten PDA.

Anonymous said...

I also don't understand the post but then again most make no sense to me. Some attack teams because they did well or in the same sentence for not doing as well as expected? Teams at this age group go up & down all the time. Attacking STA which only gave up 1 goal this weekend & calling them average? Average against what other top teams that couldn't beat them either? I don't get it. I would NJ has a lot of good teams as does NY, PA, MD etc so why can't we just appreciate that you don't have to go far to see top U12 teams play. Good job to all that played this weekend representing NJ well.

Anonymous said...

Well said! Root for all other NJ teams, unless playing against my daughter. I noticed an earlier post on who was better PDA Hornets or Madrid? Did anyone see both teams play in Manhattan? Thoughts?

Also, was the Mt Olive team missing players, they usually don't show those type of results?

Anonymous said...

Some of you folks are just plain nuts.

Dr. Phil at 3PM. Free. Check him out. Get help.

Anonymous said...

Me too, I don't understand why would anybody take a positive posting and twist it against a team or a person.

I was at the top-flight G12 MSC, and watched one of the best tournaments my daughter's team has ever been at. And, though I wish some of the scores were better for our team, pretty much agree with the 9:45am poster.

Anonymous said...

I think the poster talking about 9;45 meant 11:10. That would make a little more sense.
I actually think Brick deserves credit for staying relevant in this age group for as long as they have. I don't think they are any longer capable of playing pretty soccer and don't have any more talent than some of the other teams who have dropped off, but they know what they have to do to win. Just don't expect the beautiful game out of them. It's going to be ugly and physical because the coaches know it is their only chance against the better teams. If they can somehow manage to stay in the top flights when it becomes relevant, it'll be worth it. We'll see how long they can do it.

Anonymous said...

Predictions for MAPS Spring Challenge this weekend? SJEB all the way or will someone else win?

Anonymous said...

"pretty" "ugly" you people are pathetic!

Anonymous said...

How did the NJ Wildcats get 6700 points for the NJ Wildcat tournament when they were the only U12 team in the U12 bracket. The beat all U11 teams.

Anonymous said...

4:36

I would not count out LVU, they beat SJEB in the EDP league.

Also, we will get to see if NJ Force really is "falling apart", like all of the haters here have been posting all winter.

Anonymous said...

8:01

The same way Brick got 6838 points for winning the EDP South league, against the same teams they play in JAGS and get no points for!

Let's face it, GOTSOCCER is fairly clueless, and will gladly give you a lot of points if you use their system.

Everyone knows it, just take the rankings with a grain of salt.

Anonymous said...

Thats why JAGS is a waste of time!

Anonymous said...

NJ Wildcats with 10000 points haha...GotSoccer really is a joke. We should have played there this weekend instead of Manhattan...

Anonymous said...

I agree. Some one with legirimate input from one of the soccer clubs needs to point out this obvious fiasco with respect to the 10 000
points to Got Soccer. They beat their own u-11 team.

However, the Got Soccer system while definitely not perfect is the
only DIRECTIONAL national scale at this time.

It gives tournaments at least a starting point for bracketing. Additional analysis is needed. Mistakes will be made at each tournament as new data arrives, often after seedings are done.

However, the Wildcats points need
a major ASTERISK or be downscales/eliminated.

So hopefully, the clubs or leagues will correct, otherwise
there could be a major seeding mistake by
some tournament in the future,
and to the detriment of a more
qualified time.

Anonymous said...

should be- more qualified team.

Anonymous said...

Crazy. People complain about gotsoccer, but really care about the rankings.
It is not rocket science, play the system of gotsoccer points and rankings until u-15. It is all right there, the coach and manager choose to play elsewhere or go after points.
To get points a team still has to win

Stop whining

Anonymous said...

". They beat their own u-11 team." -- Looks like they played 3 11 year old teams. They did that last year as well. Playing the game....

Anonymous said...

It seemed to work. Sorry we did not think of it. Get points and wins, everyone gets plenty of playing time.
Nice way to warm-up for Spring.

Anonymous said...

KM is a joke but he plays you all.
Including those of you that used to talk badly about him

Anonymous said...

Gotsoccer is a joke. The only solution is to play for a team that neither needs nor cares about gotsoccer points or rankings.
Some teams will only compete in gotsoccer events while others compete in non gotsoccer events simply because it offers good competition and developmental opportunities. Imagine that.

Anonymous said...

Then there is topdrawer . Just as bad but goes the other way. One of those pay to get rankngs. And the more players that sign-up the higher the team ranks.
A few top u-15 started scrimmage invites. Invite 2 out of state teams to come in and play 2 instate teams.
Great scrimmages w/volunteer refs. Can try different things without the pressure of points and tournaments.
Sure ,still have to play top league and tournaments, but this seems to be a good idea for keeping costs down and stress development.

Anonymous said...

Stumbled across this from the lead article on the ecnl website. If it is open to the public you may want to check it out. Probably some good soccer for your daughters to watch.

pda hornets rock! beat mt olive 3-0. they are now #8 in nj!

Anonymous said...

Be easy fat boy!

Anonymous said...

It wasn't me Shamar

Anonymous said...

There is now 2 PDA teams in the top 8. Oh boy, this can't be good.

Anonymous said...

Now that funny!Top 8 dont think so.There are town teams better.

Anonymous said...

They can't even beat Billys Rec team.....

Anonymous said...

I love jealous people. I guess the money is paying off. I'm sure I'll see a lot of you losers at PDA tryouts. Good luck. Don't forget #1 girls club in the country. Hahahahahahahaha. It feels soooooooooooo good. PS Have fun playing for yor town team. hehehehehehehe

Anonymous said...

#8 in New Jersey. PDA Honets.

Is what it is...

I thought they played well at Rahway.

Anonymous said...

Did those 2 girls from hornets ever leave your team? They've been trying out all over the place.

Anonymous said...

PDA is # 1 girls club in country ?

Just ask Intense Soccer Academy or

World Class if they agree.

Anonymous said...

PDA is tops. Said it before the weekend and saying it again. Congrats!

Anonymous said...

Yep they are both gone. And yes #1 in the country. Something your club will never be. It feles good on top.
So keep playing for your town team and shut your mouth.

Anonymous said...

PDA is a joke, that's the worse money I ever spent. What a crock of shit the training is. People are drinking the cool aid at pda there is much better training at some club teams.

Anonymous said...

At PDA we have coaches with no coaches card
We have trainers with no license
We move girls between teams,we even send girls to Billy's rec team.
It's a great place!!!!When are tryouts?I have a lot of money to spend.......

Anonymous said...

PROVE IT !!!

Anonymous said...
This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.
Anonymous said...

Congrats to both PDA teams!

Anonymous said...

Just say that you are one of the crazy STA parents instead of a close personal friend, it's ok!

Anonymous said...

what Ahole would post STA 's laundry on a Blog.

Ignore the Ahole.!!!

The rest of us are.

Anonymous said...

So what is your purpose on airing this on a Blog. Do you want to hurt this family?

People need to understand that the measure of character of a person is a direct reflection of what they do when no one is watching. or in this case under the cover of anonymity where comments can be made in the cover of darkness.

No one will no what you just did- not even your daughter.

Anonymous said...

If you knew what had happened...you would understand why we air this and defend our team on here against the 'close personal friend' of those families

Anonymous said...

Well, if there was any doubt about the professionalism of STA, the coaches and parents that obviously post on this blog have answered for all of us!

Anonymous said...

I think the question to be asked is how will this affect the player(s) of the parents in question? If the issue was the parents and not the players themselves then you have to feel bad for the players. It doesn't sound like they deserved to be removed. Did anyone talk to the parents in question ahead of time? As parents we have a duty to protect all young people because they cannot protect or defend themselves. In some cases it might be rabid parents. In the end it sounds like the players are the ones who will be affected the most which is a shame.

Anonymous said...

PDA -- Best Club in the country if not world!

Anonymous said...

It's NOT proffesional for a club or coach to allow themselves or parents to air their dirty laundry on a blog!

These are innocent children!

SHAME ON YOU STA!!!!

Anonymous said...

Academies ? STA- just read above.
pda- carding issues , licenses . players playing for free. Sounds like out of control admin/ getting rich with NO oversight.

Look to be real, there is politics etc.. on every team and every club to some extent. So when a club has many many and more teams it gets complicated and sometimes ugly.
lots of money to be made in youth soccer in the teams /coaching and training etc...
One of my girls plays pda because a like a particular coach, the does not because I do not like the politics etc.. of that team and age group there. Simple.

Anonymous said...

You folks need to get some Tide or
Cheer.

And as far as PDA is concerned, there
are some fantastic girls clubs outside your myopic world of NJ.

Google some of the Ohio and California powerhouses for a start.

Anonymous said...

I dont care who you play for club or an academy. Its all about the coaching, training, and the parents. In that order!

Anonymous said...

More STA players leaving after spring. Where do they go? travel teams?

Anonymous said...

All parents on here...all post anonymously...and it happens with all teams. Today it's STA, last week was PDA, previously it's been a lot of NJ Force and Jackson.

Don't have a blog if you don't want parents to post on here.

Anonymous said...

We played STA's premiere team (Red team I think) many times in the past. Not only they're one of the best teams, but seems a nice group of players, supportive parents, and a very professional and dedicated coach (Erwin). The type of team that we're always looking forward to compete against.

I just hope that no STA parent, coach, or player takes seriously some of the crap that's posted about STA today.

Anonymous said...

That pda team that forfeited the game was by far a much better team.

Anonymous said...

Someone mentioned before 3 of the STA coach's...those 3 plus others are some of the best coaches of girls around, especially in that area of NJ.

Good club, good people, good coaches. Not saying we are the best in the world like PDA but its a nice club to be involved in and we have no complaints.

Anonymous said...

And people talk about Jackson!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Erwin of STA is the worst around. Rips his players constantly. Very disrespetful. I would not let him within 100 yards of my kid. His own parents think that way.

Anonymous said...

That's pretty harsh if his Mom and Dad think that way about him!

Anonymous said...

High School ended years ago.

Grow up people.

Your kids will be entering High School soon, and if they are reading
this crap, they will follow in your
foul mold.

Anonymous said...

Getting back to soccer - I think that's why some people are here anyway. Nobody made a guess about the SJEB vs Force Crush this weekend in MAPS Spring tournament. Should be interesting since both teams are supposedly on the decline - maybe they'll both choke against the other wannabees.

Then in the meaningless second bracket the "Batgirls" are up against some lower level JAGS and nobody teams. Guess that's their grand entrance into NJ.

Anonymous said...

I'm picking LVU in the MAPS tournament.

Go PA!

Anonymous said...

With Jackson and Freehold, I'm surprised nobody declared early victory. Might look like a hockey game in the stands.

Anonymous said...

"Your kids will be entering High School soon, and if they are reading
this crap, they will follow in your
foul mold."

I would much rather have my kid read this crap than the other stuff on the NET or get involved with the wrong crowd/drugs - BOYS - OMG that's around the corner.

Anyway I doubt very much any KID will search out a blog/board like this - this for us Parents and or Coaches to talk soccer and have a little fun.

Some people take it a little to serious - but at the end of the day it's just a bunch of dudes and gals shooting the breeze.

Anonymous said...

Until some goes off the deep end because of an over the top cyberbully
comment.

Anonymous said...

True

Anonymous said...

Yes high school is over, obvioulsy some need to go back to learn proper grammar. I love reading posts, both chest pounding and derogatory, in which the poster can neither spell, nor use proper subject verb agreement.

Anonymous said...

MAPS Spring Challenge predictios. I see SJEB & LVU listed as possible champions but what about NJ Force or Freehold? Do they not have a realistic chance of upsetting SJEB? None of these teams have been imresasive this past Fall with of course SJEB being the best of the this group but who knows what the Spring will bring? Good luck to all.

Anonymous said...

Someone trying to stir up trouble for Freehold and NJ Force. They have been quiet on here, so why not just leave them alone. Looking at the pool of players, anyone can win. Good luck to all.

Anonymous said...

Doesn't sound like stirring up trouble just wondering what the "new look" NJ Force will do & if Freehold can take another couple steps to be able to compete with the better teams. Freehold played @ Manhattan but didn't see NJ Force anywhere so this might be there 1st games of the season which may hurt them.

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know if/how much it snowed in Hammonton?

Anonymous said...

Couldn't have gotten more than a heavy inch, but it is supposed to get to low forties and maybe some rain early this evening, so hopefully it will melt. It is a turf farm so it should also drain very well - especially if its typical south jersey sandy soils. Not positive though so extra socks are a must.
Going to be pretty chilly for the early games, but mid 50's and sunny for the afternoons - might even hit 60! I'm sure the early games wouldn't mind waiting a little to let it warm up if its too soggy in the morning.
Website says no problem, but will update conditions at noon.

Anonymous said...

Thanks for the info. Sounds good.

Anonymous said...

I think the field is wide open for MAPs this weekend in the top diviison. Any of those teams (save one or 2) could take it.

Anonymous said...

Where are these games being played?

Anonymous said...

SJEB looks to be the favorite but thats why we play the game.Did Force ever play Freehold? We know Jackson has played Force but have they played Freehold?

Anonymous said...

SJEB coaches are a bunch of cheese balls. They act like its a military camp. Hey, teach the girls some skills, oh wait, you don't know how to. Bunch of blow hards.

Anonymous said...

Good luck to all today!

Anonymous said...

New rule: If your coach is not licensed and hold a current coaches card. No re-funds.Your bad, Should have actually seen the updated or new card for 2013.

Anonymous said...

NJ Wildcats get blown out twice today! #6 yeah right. 5-2 loss to Middletown & 4-1 loss to LVU. NJ Force beats Middletown 7-1.

Anonymous said...

SJEB, NJ Force & Freehold go 2-0 today with SJEB & NJ Force being impressive. Tomorrow will determine how good Freehold is since they play SJEB while NJ Force looks to ease into the finals.

Anonymous said...

Jackson Attack 0-2 with no goals scored & gave up 7. This is Jackson's A-team now?

Anonymous said...

Watched the Jackson Attack games, who told them they should be playing anything close to MAPS level soccer. Those girls looked lost, they could not keep up with the speed of the game. What an embarrsment. They looked like a NAT 5 MOSA team. Maybe now they will get that they should be playing teams at their own level. Plus that coach sounded like a real jerk during both games.

Anonymous said...

Freehold to beat SJEB, but lose a close one to Force. Force has too much depth, and Freehold only has 8 tops with a very good goalie.

Anonymous said...

Jackson Attack..... Kick and run don't work against better teams, you got educated today.

Anonymous said...

Why was the Jackson sharks coach at the maps tournament today?

Anonymous said...

LC is looking for girls to recruit to the Sharks for next season. If you noticed she made her way towards girls and parents on some of the teams who did not get play time. She is trying to poach players for the Sharks. I think after the way the Attack played today that coach should be looking to do the same thing. I guess the Attack has gone as far as they are going to go and need to think about restructuring the team with some new girls.

Anonymous said...

Nice to see you ass$$$$$ still can't let go of your bitterness. So, let's review: you left their team, but you can't leave them alone. Amazingly bitter people,. Let it go already,

Anonymous said...

How about some props for the NJ Force, coming out of a rocky winter they looked like they are back and bringing their A game.

Anonymous said...

Who's this crazy Jackson jacka$$ that thinks people are bitter about leaving the sharks!! Probably feel like they won the lottery. Maybe you should let it go like they did a long long time ago

Anonymous said...

You Jackson bloggers are crazy. Sharks or Attack. Why isn't Jackson soccer board more involved to bring order for kids, parents and coaches????

Anonymous said...

SJEB will take the prize. No other teams even close.Force played no one!

Anonymous said...

Middletown beat SJEB last season and Force crushed Middletown so we will see. Plus force played LVU a very good team.

Anonymous said...

LVU beat SJEB last season as well.

To say Force played no one is a fairly ignorant statement.

Predict Force over SJEB in final.

Anonymous said...

All this weekend showed you is that anyone can beat anyone at any given time!

Anonymous said...

Al Pacino -Any Given Sunday

Anonymous said...

Congratulations to NJ Force Crush. Winners At MAPS!!!

Anonymous said...

Predictions for this weekend??

Anonymous said...

To congratulate oneself,
is… so very shallow!

Anonymous said...

Can you say Attack who!! They where so easy to beat. Maybe they will be staying off the blog now. What a joke of a team go back to MOSA!

Anonymous said...

To post 8:35. Who are you referring to?

Anonymous said...

Sorry 8:31 and 8:33 (just hit publish once). I'm a parent of team who did not partipate in tournament this weekend. Just checking up on the competition and results.

Anonymous said...

Force looked very good this weekend.

Anonymous said...

Question of the day:

If we assume that the top team in NJ is PDA and Americans and STA follow respectfully.

Where do the rest of the teams rank:

NJ Force Crush
Brick
NJ Crush
PDA Hornets
SJEB

I assume this is the next tier of teams.

any thoughts about what teams are actually better in this second tier of teams.

I'm trying to ignore GOT Soccer rankings right now and get opinions about what the educated parent sees on the field.

Anonymous said...

PDA Hornets might not be there yet have to see more from them. NJ Crush hasn't been anywhere for a while & hasn't played top competition in a while so hard to say where they are at this moment. NJ Force still need to see more but they had a good weekend & a good win over SJEB. SJEB still a top team even after a loss as is Brick but the next couple of tournaments will sort this out as well as US Club State Cup. Next group:
Brick
SJEB
NJ Force
NJ Crush
Medford, PDA Hornets or Mt. Olive
Then next group:
Hamilton
Freehold
Middletown
Jackson Attack
Jackson Sharks
To round out the top 15 for now.

Anonymous said...

Have to put NJ Force in top. They earned it. PDA has not played welled lately. Oh, have not played much lately either.

Anonymous said...

The stupidity on this blog is reliable.
PDA just won Manhattan, it is still winter, is it OK to take a week off. still the best, alone at the top.
check out US Soccer recommendations for ratio training to games.
And now back to the stupidity & ignorance

Anonymous said...

I guess the NJ Cup will speak volumes.

I like the rankings of the 10:09 Poster.

I think they are about right with the second tier able to beat the first tier.

PDA has separately themselves from everyone else.

Anonymous said...

Wow...This blog always takes a negative turn...Remember the players are only 11/12 years old. They will play very well one weekend and not show up the next.

I wonder how many of you have any clue about the game? I would venture to guess that most (at least 90%) have never played the game and have only watch your children play and now have become experts about the game. Just watch and support your daughter and her team, hope they play at the top level for their ablility and hope tha their coach will challenge them to play at a higher level. Much like a few teams this past weekend that played against better competition, no slight against them, but teams like FC COPA, Jackson Attack, NJ Wildcats played at a level where they could not compete. But it is a very good experience for the players, they will only get better playing against better competition, that is if they are coached properly.

At the end of the day, we all want what is best for the players. But don't take the road of bashing other teams, coaches, trainers...You really don't know what is going on with those teams. Give your opinions on style of play, predicitions of upcoming torneys, where you see teams ranked (you can tell which team you are by these rankings). But be careful, I think many players may come to this site, it would be good for them to view parents in a good light, not the bull that shows up on this site.

I watch many teams play this weekend at MSSL Spring Challenge and most are playing like they just came out of winter training, my guess is that many will improve over the next several weeks as they play and train outdoors.

Perfect example, Middletown, what happened, they had to have several injuries to drop a game 7 -1 against NJ Force. I have watched my daughter play against both teams and they we both on the same level. Maybe something has changed with Middletown, perhaps that is why their coach did the right thing and placed them in the lower bracket of the US Club state cup...That seems like a very good coach.

BTW: Our team is the best, we are better than you. Our coach and trainers are the best. My teams parents are the best, they always praise our team and totally put down every team we play. No one else has a clue, your team is having problems, We are the best! We are the best! We are the best!

Remember the best team doesn't always walk of the field winning the game, that is one of the nuiances that makes this such a great game!

Be well and enjoy the games

Anonymous said...

Well said! All of these teams can compete at this level. All these teams have played one another and the records will show they are very close. That is the reason for the bracketing.Good weekend for some, not so for others. It is just getting started.....we can reflect at the end of the season

Anonymous said...

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing

A small amount of knowledge can mislead people into thinking that they are more expert than they really are.

How true that expression is on this board.

Anonymous said...

There are no experts here except for 1:06. Paying for pda is a dangerous thing.
When one pays that much there are expectations. Losing and forfeiting games do not meet those expectations.

Anonymous said...

Middletown is trying very hard not to implode. Assistant coach has been seen at NJ Wildcats and others will follow. Did you see LC and some of the sharks playing with middletown this weekend? A great recruiting trip for LC.

Wildcats did not show up at all this weekend.

Congrats to NJ Force and SJEB for a good tournament.

Anonymous said...

Middletown just added players , not sure what above poster is hearing.
They are planning and paying up for Summer and early Fall tournaments.

Middletown would prefer to stay low key and out of the spot light and just play soccer with a terrific group of girls and parents.

Anonymous said...

Too late. You bring in LC and NOTHING stays hidden or small. Say goodbye to your team as you know it.

Anonymous said...

Wouldn't have put the Middletown coach in same boat as LC. Middletown coach ahs a lot of class and creates a great enviroment for her team...can't say the same for LC...

Anonymous said...

I must say that the final game between SJEB and NJ Force was very entertaining. It is evident that there is a lot of technically and tactically trained players. Great job to both teams!!

Anonymous said...

Agree with the abovre poster about the Middletown coach. She has been with the majority of those girls since they were 6 or 7 and has kept them together. Great group. Dont know who LC is.

Anonymous said...

Don't know who LC is! Just ask NJ Force Crush, they have a opinion on everything. They love this blog.

Anonymous said...

SJEB drew first blood and dominated the game over Crush for about 75% of the game.
Crush has speed up top and that is hard to stop, as soon as the other teams figure out how to stop their strikers Crush will have a tough road to hoe.
Congratulations to both teams.

Anonymous said...

Speed is not new, I am sure everybody knows the solution to speed. Did either of their goals come from a result of speed.
How did SJEB score their goals vs freehold & force

Anonymous said...

Technical players do not have speed.
Force is the best team out there right now. SJEB HAVE SOMECATCHING UP TO DO. Time to add some players.

Anonymous said...

according to GOT Soccer.

The 5 of the top 10 teams in the nation are from NJ.

Now if that's not proof enough that Got soccer is a joke then I dont know what other proff you need.

NJ Force # 5

Anonymous said...

I am a Force parent and I'm very proud of our girls but think we have lots of work ahead of us!! I also think that all of the top teams can beat each other on any given day. I like that fact that there are very good teams from our sournding area that we play several times a year, this can only make all of our teams better. Good luck to all of the teams headed to the Jeff Cup this weekend!!

Anonymous said...

Now that last post makes a lot of sense. But it is obvious that there is a Force parent on here that is talking up the team way above reality.

Anonymous said...

Let me guess 11:42!
You are a Force parent?
Can I buy back my congradulations from ya?
.Man, are you all full of yourself.

LOL...

Anonymous said...

Everyone of those statements is false.
trolling for trouble?

Anonymous said...

To post 11:42. Please Force the best team out there. Have you ever heard of a little team called the Splash? You can't compete with them. Not a splash parent, just realistic. We are all playing for secong place and that is OK.

Anonymous said...

Splash sank. Two players left because the parents wanted to play more games.

Anonymous said...

Saw splash recently and not overly impressed. Hate to say, but they kicked and ran more then I thought they would. The one forward is extremely good and fast.

Looks like there will be 10 teams vying for 8 spots in the top flight. Force, Brick, SJEB could be fighting it out for the the last spot there. Too many ECNL clubs in U12G to overcome. Splash, FC Bucks, Manhattan Crew(not ecnl), WC, Scorpions, FC Stars of Mass, CFC. Do the math.
Second flight should also be really strong.

Coaching rotation in Fall for pda.

Anonymous said...

The focus this week is the Jefferson Cup.

6:36 and 9:07, you're getting ahead of yourself. There will be plenty of time to bash you and your tournament next week.

Predictions about how regional teams will do at Jeff Cup?

Championship: STA, Americans, NYSC

Elite: Brick plays Manhattan Crew 1st game.

Anonymous said...

I think STORM will regroup a bit, playing third level - and at least make the second place game.

This is a team that just needs a tweak or two....

Anonymous said...

"Coaching rotation in Fall for pda. "

what does this mean?

Anonymous said...

What does that mean coaching rotation in the fall?? Does that mean we will get a new coach for our team, not sure that would be a bad idea, the South program sucks right now, maybe with some new coaches the training will improve.

Anonymous said...

If you get better players, the training will improve.

Dear Daddy,

Please stop posting on this blog, you are embarassing me and embarrassing yourself. You also taught me that if you do not have something nice to say, then don't say it at all.

Also, when you yell at me on the sidelines, everybody sees you and that also embarrasses me.

I do not want you doing anything after school since we have signed your life away, I mean a contract to an Academy team which says you will do nothing else but Academy soccer. Don't feel bad when no one recognizes you in your yearbook. At least you can say you played for PDA!!!

Love your bankrupt Dad!

Interesting Soccer America article regarding PDA from January: http://www.socceramerica.com/article/49982/2012-top-30-girls-rankings.html

Anonymous said...

It's a great place for girls soccer.

Anonymous said...

PDA owns that website. It's all propaganda. As far as all those U14's on the national team, they paid extra money to be there. Nothing to do with talent. Stop drinking the koolaid.

Anonymous said...

So if PDA owns that website, did they buy it from the Dallas Texans? Since the Texans were listed as the top girls club all but one year between 2005-2010.

Do top clubs in other states get the same kind of grief that PDA gets in NJ? Or is it just a Jersey thing?

Anonymous said...

I don't know why people cannot just support a club that does develop good teams and good players. People are quick to jump on a bad game or a bad tournament when it is PDA, but it is hard to objectively dispute the results at PDA. I am hardly objective as I have 2 kids at PDA. On the girls side you have players on the US national team from PDA, I believe there were about 20 division 1 commitments. It was very similar to on the boys side in terms of D-1 commitments, and there are about 20 players that came through PDA that play in the MLS. I don't think PDA paid for Tobin Heath and Heather O'Reilly to be on the USWNT, but I could be wrong. I think Carli Lloyd even played a year or 2 at PDA.

Anonymous said...

Right on!! PDA is the best!

Better than all the rest.

Don't ever let it rest, for tomorrow you might not be.

But for today, please gloat.

Gloat as much as possible.

That will surely piss people off.

But keep up the good work in the interim because you now have everyone gunning for you.

Well done. Sportsmanship personified.

Anonymous said...

Sportmanship? You have a whole blog of people who rip PDA at every opportunity.

Truth be told PDA is both a developer and collector of talent.

What pisses people off is that the better players do evntually flock to PDA-if for nothing else than to be showcased during highschool years. Essentially PDA becomes a marketing magnet for talent that may have been developed in other places. I happen to think that this is good thing. As far as developing players, well like anything else it depends on the coach.

I would be curious to know how many kids on the u16 PDA team were on the same team at u10 or u11I would bet more than you think.

Anonymous said...

Well stated, my guess is that they turn over quite a bit at the younger ages, but after 14+ they are probably only turning over 1-2 girls a year because a team needs learn to play together as well.

If you are correct, then I don't know that you can blame PDA for taking quality kids that come knocking at their door.

What I don't understand, is the animosity towards academies. If a child expresses the desire and the parent wants to spend $2000+ year than so be it, and live and let live.

Anonymous said...

A little thin skinned.

Anonymous said...

Top level soccer is designed to have a turn over of a few players a year.

Anonymous said...

EDP schedule trickeling out....

Anonymous said...

I think some perspective on PDA is needed. Yes PDA may recruit BUT there are MANY players from other teams who think they are good and TRYOUT for PDA on their own accord without being recruited. I've been to tryouts 3 years in a row and the number of girls trying out is insane. PDA is not recruiting all of those girls for all of those age groups. I would say more girls show up of their own accord for tryouts than are recruited.

If you dislike PDA that much then that should be 1 less person at tryouts this spring.

Anonymous said...

That's are pretty arrogant assessment.

Keep the gloating coming.

Anonymous said...

Do current PDA players need to attend tryouts every year?

Anonymous said...

I heard last year there were no tryouts for top team. Not sure yet about this year. Im waiting for the posting on their website.

Back to Jeff Cup Predictions

Championship
STA and Americans compete well, dont lose any game by more than goal but neither come out of very strong groups. Charlotte United vs Cleveland Royal Final

Elite
Brick can get results if on form but tough schedule, Manhattan to finish 2nd to good South Carolina team. Carolina to beat United Futbol in final.

Superior
Both NJ Crush and SJEB have good opportunity to show well and make final, nothing either team should be fearful of in group. Baltimore have beaten splash but lost to STA and Americans and GBSA could make final, beat Crush last week but Barons can beat if perform well. NJ Crush vs SJEB final that SJEB edge by a goal

Platinum
Not expecting much from MT Olive, poor showing recently, if NJ Force continue good start to season see no reason they could not win the bracket.

Anonymous said...

Yes - current players have to tryout each year. There are no guarantees to make it the following year. No arrogance at all. If a tryout has 70+ kids for one age bracket and they carry 36 on both teams, that leaves 34. Are all 34 being recruited? No. Even if you go with 8 recruits that leaves 26 coming of their own accord to try and make the team. PDA has to be doing something right to have that many kids show up.

Anonymous said...

"PDA has to be doing something right to have that many kids show up."

Yeah, they have convinced parents whose kids have no business trying out , that they should.

Parents with personal agendas and egos thinking that PDA is the only
way to the pronmised land.

Bottom line - it's not. And plenty of kids get to the promised land
on other clubs. Remember, 18 girls
can't play all 90 minutes.

Anonymous said...

A agree with the 10:29 poster.

lets vote

Signify yes and time if you agree.

Anonymous said...

Bottom line...if your kid is truly a gifted player and wants to work hard to improve why wouldn't you be at PDA. Be honest folks. Your kid didn't make cut or you know she won't.

Anonymous said...

My kid id on pda and I'm very unhappy with the training, it sucks, I think pda is a scam they don't train a team from u-rs they just get the best kids coming to there program and that's what makes them look good. What a joke kool aid drinkers!!!! I admit I made a mistake but only for one season.

Anonymous said...

Just because an entity gets a good showing does not mean they are good. Look at Jackson, it fields 4 travel teams at U12 and they are still turnig people away. I think thats why they are such an arrogant bunch of hicks/pineys.

Anonymous said...

PDA-has a place for you. please come and support our "A" team and pay us a lot of money to have all our admin people and staff as well as all our coaches/trainers assistant coaches and assistant trainers and Executives and Directors. We need all the players/parents and have a place for you on our B team or C team or development team.Come one come all ,but bring the ck book.

One flat fee covers everything except the extras, like extra tourneys, extra training your daughter needs to have a shot at A team, Indoor is extra too! Get tried of the extras? If you are good and really some of you do not have to pay. We have plenty of money from all the other parents that are paying.

Who is more despised on this board:
PDA
Jackson Sharks
Jackson Attack
Freehold United

Anonymous said...

The real question is why!

Anonymous said...

Sounds like ex-players parents that use to play for jackson, then went to freehold, now with the force, and can't get on PDA

Anonymous said...

Yes-agree

Anonymous said...

Wow....Why bash PDA...It is clear that they are the class in all age groups. They have developed a program that is recognized and competitive on a national level. Therefore, most but not all of the best players within about a 100 to 150 mile radius will attempt to get involved with their teams, some may go earlier than others, but make no mistake about it, if you are not in the starting 11 in any year you are at risk the following year to make the team or get any playing time. It all changes at U15/U16 if 15 new top players tryout and they are all better than the starting 11, they will make it and most likely take most of the starting spots. They have to compete at the highest level and play the best players in national tournaments...Good for them and great for the players that are invovled and get what they are seeking from PDA and that level of play.

Who cares about either Jackson team or Freehold, let them play, enjoy their experiences and be done with it. Those who bash are very immature and should be barred from this site. If you continue to bash teams and coaches then why don't you sign your postings? But you decide to hide, why? back up you statements
