Is this a new team? What positions are open? I assume this is Brick team mostly

Anonymous said...

Is that TRIC?

Anonymous said...

no, not tric, I believe newly forming team for PDA Shore, Brick Fury and others mixed in. I guess I will email the email on file.

Only one team putting over worked players at risk this weekend at WAGS. It is obvious that they don't care about the players, they have been training or playing games just about everyday since the beginning of August. I'm surprised that these parents are allowing this, but they already are having their pockets fleeced by that organization. But with 24 or 25 on the roster, players that normally would not get a start or much playing time are more than likely the ones making the trip to play this weekend. I hope none of the players get hurt. Hope you represent NJ well.

Did you mean to state, this team was formed the end of last season and is composed of players from Monmouth & Ocean counties. Since it is a newly formed team all of the players were on other teams last season.

And Who cares? And why so much advertisement? Desperate already?

How bad is high school soccer can't wait till this crap is over

Looks like the Wildcats will be home for dinner as they make a quick exit out of WAGS. Their DOCs strategy to steal the brick ranking through creative paperwork last year may have fooled some tournaments but their poor play will not fool anyone. Let the rapid decline begin as they start to lose all of the ranking points that brick EARNED last year. They will be down to 10th in the state in a few days and that will continue in the spring.

Anonymous said...

No real surprise the wildcats finished at the bottom of their bracket.

Anonymous said...

But they still made into the top showcases this fall

Anonymous said...

Wildcats only made it because they cheated. When brick team ended the wildcats regarded all their players into the brick roster and had all the parents sign the paperwork for a new player pass as a member of brick. Then they played a few summer tournaments under the brick name in wildcat uniforms coached by the wildcat DOC. Then they transferred the entire brick roster back to the wildcats so the brick points and ranking would follow them. Because only 4 brick players joined the wildcats they could not transfer the points under got soccer rules. So if they did not cheat the wildcats would have been shout out of many of the top tournaments due to their low ranking.

Anonymous said...

Worry about your own team and child.

Anonymous said...

Looks like the WC's played competitive ecnl and npl teams. Healthy competition. Only the outsiders or disgruntled complain

Anonymous said...

Wildcats will continue to fall. Not a good showing but the parents seem to have no problem paying for everything including JH hotel. Only to go a finish last in their bracket. But hey, they will all get full rides, at least that is what their DOC, What a crock of you know what, those players should have rested over the weekend to play tournaments later in the fall. That club put business over the players safety. I hope none of the players were injured over the weekend.

Anonymous said...

Wasn't our regular goalie

Anonymous said...

7:38. Your a misinformed, disgruntled loser.

Anonymous said...

12:41 - it shows what a pompous idiot you are. He is the father of other children (or don't you know that either) and he was coaching one of his other daughters in a tournament down in Hammonton. People should stop using this blog for their personal vendettas against someone, whether it's a coach or, and it's been done, the girls who play the game. Maybe you should put down the rocks in your hand before you start throwing them in your glass house.

Anonymous said...

Who Cares? that team will continue to fall in rankings, due to their points in GS they will be placed into brackets where they may be able to compete and really can't win. Eventually, they will fall to a level that is correct for the team. the good news for the players is that they will play against some very strong teams and that will make them better. I would venture a guess that the better players from the old Brick Fury team have left for other teams and not joined this merger. I know a couple went to PDA Splash, and PDA Shore. It's a shame in the end, that Brick team was a very nice team with several good players. Good luck to all of them now and in the future.

Anonymous said...

oh yay. girls with footskills, taking on the whole team because they get past one girl and then hold on to the ball until they get swamped and swallowed by the whole opposing team.

Here's something you hear at ever high level game, camp, scrimmage, training session. Link up and play simple...Improve soccer IQ above flare.

When you know the kids because your kid has played together and attended various camps and ID things together, it is natural to support their successes. Rec parents and town travel wont understand that I suppose...

Anonymous said...

Of course you don't know her anymore because she now plays up 2 age groups on an ECNL team. Some of us remember a couple of years ago when she dominated this age group.

Why then are you wasting your time reading and commenting on a mere girls soccer forum? This started when someone gave her a friendly shout out. There is inherently something wrong with people who find it necessary to write in all caps, translation: written shouting, much less in response to a kid's success.

Anonymous said...

She is the best talent ever produced in the state of New Jersey . Best of the best. National team is hers already.
And now pda will be unbeatable with her

Anonymous said...

WOW I BET SHE IS THE BEST HIGH SCHOOL PLAYER ALSO....LOL....TO BAD NO ONES KNOWS WHO YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT....GET A LIFE....

Anonymous said...

wildcats could beat pda

Anonymous said...

Wildcats can't beat NJCSA!!!!! : b

Anonymous said...

The best HS player plays for Colts Neck.

Anonymous said...

She is not the best player. She is okay. Her parents are destroying her development and her social emotional capacity. As you can read she is one here glorifying herself because she has learned how to do it from what is modeled at home.

Anonymous said...

She doesn't play in this age group. Jack a$$

Anonymous said...

5:21PM - come on, she's not "okay", she is an outstanding player. I don't know her parents well, but I know about them since they live in the town next, no horror stories. Both parents were athletes and they have put her in a position to show well.

Regardless of what happens to her, she's a candidate for player of the year (she was Shore player of the year), she's a 5-star recruit, plays for the U17 WNT, yada yada.

Hardly an "okay" player.

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know anything about PDA shore revolution team .... Will that team be a NPL team at u15 .

Anonymous said...

There's a few crazy ex nj force parents who control everything and cause lots of trouble. So, I'd stay away from them.

Anonymous said...

There are much better options than that team, if you want to play for PDA travel to Zerypth and play for the top team. If you cant make that team, then play for a local team that plays in some very good tourneys at higher levels. Stay away from the NJCSA and Wildcats. Freehold, TRIC, Jackson, NJX, Wall are town options - all are good teams.

The new pda shore team is made up of Brick players also. It will be a very good team, not sure about npl. Also of course NJ Force players. Wall, Freehold, TRIC, all good teams, local, not expensive. NJCSA and Wildcats are usually good though, just much drama.

Anonymous said...

Nj elite is the best right now in Nj

Anonymous said...

Right Now?...as in right now because no other clubs are playing?

Anonymous said...

All these teams will look different with the new age groups next year. Some might not even stay together.

Anonymous said...

How does the age change issue impact town teams? Right now there are many girls playing up an age bracket or who are in 9th grade but due to their birthday falling later in the year they had to play down.

Won't most existing team players be grandfathered in?

Anonymous said...

No grandfathering. Also don't bet that some of the younger players don't abandon ship and try their luck at a higher level or ECNL team since they will have a decided advantage. Now being older, playing another year, and playing against tougher competition makes them more All kids of maneuvering will happen over the winter when kids try new teams at winter training sessions. The top teams will probably invite kids to open house-like trainng sessions to see if they can draw some new players during this shift. likely to make a top team now. Lots of shuffling at all levels. Batten down the hatches near tryout time. Few teams will look the same next fall.

Anonymous said...

Hey slick how many girls did you lose after the spring season? Now I here you lost some to injury from H.S.

Anonymous said...

I heard your girl is a no show at watchung too... Don't worry with every loss there is a gain.

Anonymous said...

Nj elite best team? Not for newss apparently.

Anonymous said...

slick,
do you have a enough to field a team?i am sure you will pick up some new studs...lol....word out about you and the rest of the NICE parents

Anonymous said...

All this age thing will start only next August right?

Anonymous said...

Yes will start August 2016. All competitions will be based on the calendar year cut offs. That doesn't mean that some ( believe only a few) teams may not choose to stay together and play at the oldest players birth year. Most of the teams from at least medium sized clubs with teams at every age group will simply reshuffle. Some clubs will lose players especially those born in the first half of the year that maight try to make a more competitive team. Some might lose players at the end of the year because a team heavy on younger players decides to recruit a few early year players and play at the younger birth year. Only thing for certain is most teams won't look like they did last year and current rankings will need to be tossed out the window.

Anonymous said...

i think most teams will stay same and have the girls play up (after all they were going to play up if the rules didn't change)

Anonymous said...

Some might but most I doubt. The ECNL teams, NPL teams and R1PL will definitely reshuffle. Town travel might stay the same and drop down a competition level.

Anonymous said...

I've spoken with a number of parents and it seems like the parents of the older kids favor the team to sticking together (reasonable). The parents of the younger kids (now oldest) seem to favor playing age appropriate. Rule of thumb I've always heard and stick to is if your kid can play up and be in the top 3-5 on the team then go for it. If you kid is not, then play age appropriate. Obviously lots of factors, most important of which is what your child wants to do. I think there is a lot more to be gained by being a leader/top player age appropriate then middle of the pack or below playing up. And when your child is playing up, consider there will be a bunch coming back so if your child is 9-11 on current depth chart, she could be bench after realignment. Just some thoughts.

Anonymous said...

My prediction is there is mostly a reshuffling. Is the DOC going to tell a 2001 who is 12th on the depth chart and coming off the bench, that she has to play for the 2000 team? If he does, do the kid and parents who want to see her starting and having more of an impact then shop for a different 2001 opportunity? Do they try to play up a level now that she will be an older and more experienced? Is there a big showing at the 01 ECNL tryouts? Same with the 2000. What if a kid who has been a starter on a 00/01 team looks to the older team and thinks, hey I am not sure I am starting with these kids? Does she look for another team where she can keep her relative rank?
Does a 00 ECNL player decline a 00 NPL spot because her club is heavy with 99/00 00s and look to an independent NPL club team?

Anonymous said...

I agree, If the kid could this year they would already be "playing up", wouldn't they?

Also just because a player is 9-11 this year doesn't mean they will be next year. They could be 15 or they might be 6 or higher. Believe in the kid and let them go for it, What happens happens. The last thing they want is their parent moving them because they don't believe in them.

Anonymous said...

schedules are out for the Bethesda Tourney.

Was very surprised that NJX is in the group above Freehold and NJ Wildcats (Brick( Fury. NJX will be lucky to score a goal, the way they ended the season last year showed they are way above their heads and should not be seeded at this level.

NJW and Freehold could fair well. Fury has to prove something, they are just an average team at best. Freehold has always been a consistent team, school soccer may have had a toll on some of the players but of the three, this team will/should represent NJ well. Don't know if they lost players, but that could be a factor as well.

Real NJ and SJEB should represent NJ well in this tourney.

Anonymous said...

WOW - TRIC playing is 3 tournaments in 3 weekends coming off a school season. Way to watch out for the health of your players!!!! That is just crazy...........

Anonymous said...

12:41

Generally statements like "Team X will be lucky to score a goal" are proven false.

Yours may stay along that line.

RESPECT opposing clubs.

Anonymous said...

Your right. Should have said, NJX didn't perform that well in the spring season, don't know the reasons, but if they continue to play at the same level, they probably can expect the same results when playing at a higher level. Will they score goals, more than likely, but they have a lot to prove. Don't believe that they are a better team than the NJW Fury or Freehold. Doesn't the NJW team have a few of the NJX former players? aren't they very good players?

Anonymous said...

Maybe they have a good number of lacrosse players

Maybe there were injuries..

Just relax - no need to project doom for a competing club. Have some class.

Anonymous said...

Hey slick what up?another one jumping ship?what are you down to 12 or 13?

Anonymous said...

Who is slick? And Who cares?

Will be interesting to see how NJ teams will perform in upcoming Nov and Dec tournaments. I read above chain that there is a team playing in 3 tournaments in 3 weeks, that seems like overkill, are they trying to chase got soccer points? I see no other reason, wouldn't want my daughter playing that many games over 3 week span, hopeful that no players get injured from this decision.

Hope that all represent the talent that exists here in NJ, however, many of these players may be exhausted from playing just about every day since early August. From all indications many teams have smaller rosters going into the season, with the exception of the NJW and a couple of others. So players will need to stay healthy! Teams have new coaches and may play different styles should be interesting. I have heard that Freehold and NJX have gone to full time paid coaches, but one has coached/trained many players since u8 and may just be a conduit of a former coach. Either way new voices can often produce positive results for teams.

Anyway, good luck to all teams playing in NOV - Dec , hope you play well and all the players stay healthy!

Anonymous said...

1040 you are slick and your 15 mins are over...lol...your bet players are gone.....

Anonymous said...

Great question 10:40. Who is Slick?? And what is your fascination with that person? I see 9:43 as the guy in High School that had a big mouth until someone shut it for him. Let it go!! It's OK...you can move on and grow from it.

Anonymous said...

Who cares if WC got former NJX players.. Move on that's a year old now.. We still continue to comment... I guess a roster of 22 is nerve racking. Good Luck to all teams..

Anonymous said...

What players left? I believe we are still the top team in the state! Move to Princeton will only help our team, only team that can challenge maybe PDA

Anonymous said...

Usual troll just to create trouble. Now you will answer your own post and start additional problems. Just go away for good and let all these girls alone

Anonymous said...

Hey. 9:43 post -

You seem to have made the wrong decision for your daughter. Why would you even care about her old team? I guess you continue to ruin her soccer experience. What a jerk

Anonymous said...

Just look at the bracket for CASL that speaks volumes.

Anonymous said...

How is Bethesda tournament looking? I am curious to see how the top New Jersey teams will do. By the way NJX is much stronger than last season . Same for barons.
NJ elite and stallions are also getting stronger. We will have lots of great team in our state and we should all be proud and positive .

10.04 no need for people like u.

Anonymous said...

NJ X stronger????? They lost their best players over a year ago. Must be LC with that post. Their kick and run style will not bode well for them

Anonymous said...

US Club waffling on birth year mandates. Can hs graduation year mandates be far behind?

Anonymous said...

The sad thing is that WC is not doing much better.. I hear they don't have their goalie. I guess that will be there excuse for losing the 2 tournaments.

Anonymous said...

Can't win if you can't score. That's right can't score without their goaile. I guess this proves she carries the team.

Anonymous said...

WC's GK is injured.

Anonymous said...

O

Anonymous said...

Princeton/Gfa ... Whoever slick is the team will be losing starters in the summer ... 3 girls will be leaving that's a fact ... Girls coming to team aren't as good as girls leaving .

Anonymous said...

With over 22 players why doesn't WC team have a back up goalie? I'm sure they can find a guest goalie for tourneys

Anonymous said...

Why would any player leave Princeton ? I don't think you have your facts right , SLICK

12 years old girls , I thought we were on the u15 blog no? Nobody cares about your anger and you comments , keep it to yourself. Same as for the other comment about captain for WC. Just stop with these nasty comments aimed to hurt 14 years old girls. You should all find some hobby to relax and focus on your own daughter and family and enjoy the sport instead of constantly bring negativity to whoever you hate. Nobody cares. We all do what we want with our daughters , so if you do not like something there are many options , chose what is best for you and focus on that. HS is over and the first comments are always the same as last season . Always the same troll . Just go away.

Totally agree 5:15.

Anonymous said...

Team business, you do not know the reasons or the facts so respect other teams decision. Unless you are the parent of that girl that lost the captain role. Then you are upset and if you think is a disgrace ( using your word) you should leave. Otherwise nobody else really cares

Anonymous said...

"Team" business? A new girl comes to the team, gets made a captain over all the other girls that have been there a long time, and that's simply "business"? I know coach daddy thinks she's Alex Morgan, but, reality is quite the contrary. And believe me, plenty of people care. try teaching children how to earn things.

Anonymous said...

again if it bothers you and you are part of that team then you have all the right to complain to the coaches and then make your decision. if you are not part of the team it is difficult to make a comment on something you do not really know. honestly i do not think people from other teams really care about who is the captain of WC.

On a lighter note -

@2:06 are you serious writing that , could this be a brick guy are the doc of gfa/Princeton/tsf/ whatever the flavor of the month is both of you men are slime . I have a daughter on WC and we are all well aware of both of you liars.

Anonymous said...

2:06 is just a bitter parent . There are two or three here that are writing constantly on the blog with clear intention to damage specific people and clubs. They do not know any fact but like to come in and talk trash waiting for a reaction. If there is no answers they write back to their comments pretending to be somebody else's . Miserable people living a miserable life

Anonymous said...

Also, a lot of people on here know the facts. And some of us like to either hide them or avoid them. Then they come on saying "mind your business" or "club business" etc. You don't like light being shed on your dirty dealings, huh? Just like the points stealing scandal, now the outright theft of a hard earned captaincy. Everyone knows which people are good for youth sports, and which aren't. Isn't that right coach or coaches wife.

Anonymous said...

If you are unhappy on a team then you should leave. Period! Quit bashing.

Anonymous said...

Guys, grow up and stop filling this blog with your personal nonsense. Don't inflate it with garbage comments please.

Anonymous said...

Maybe at some point we can actually talk about soccer on this blog in a constructive way. I honestly dont get the bashing. It's like...well...you're a 15 year old girl that had gotten her feelings hurt by a class mate and will tell everyone what a jerk the other person is and hold a grudge forever. Wait a minute...not 15 year old, I have one and she wouldn't do that, maybe 10 year old.

To bash or shame someone because they aren't in a certain league or certain tournament bracket or their kit doesnt have 3 letters across the chest, is just straight up bullying. Is this what you teach your kids? Do you or your kids get made fun or make fun of people because you have a Honda and not a BMW? Do you get made fun or make fun of people because you wear North Face and not Patagonia?
Did you only go to the jersey shore this summer and not the Greek Isles?
Everyone has their own situation and are there for a reason. I am sure they are happy there or they would leave. The great thing about sports at this age is every one is a free agent at the end of the year. Your kid is not getting paid by the club and they are not legally bound, so if you are unhappy you can leave. You leave, go to a better situation and dont look back. Unless someone did physical harm to your kid, isnt it too exhusting and too much negative energy to keep bad mouthing behind peoples backs?
I'm done.
Hope everyone had a successful and injury free season.

Anonymous said...

Amen!

Good luck to the NJ teams this weekend! Hope you play well and that there are no major injuries suffered by anyone.

Anonymous said...

You guys are all right! Well said. But you know that are always the two three idiots here with a personal vendetta. Unfortunately they will not understand your message and will keep going on attacking people and clubs. Maybe if all the other blog users would write messages like yours they would stop and go away.

Anonymous said...

Disgruntled parents. Pathetic.

Anonymous said...

That's a long way to travel for one point. Perhaps teams should play in brackets that are their speed.

Anonymous said...

3:19 it is a very pleasant place actually. And surely as pleasant as any other place. The anger comes from people that are not there anymore. The same idiot that is always here . If you read all blogs is always the same person .
Would be great to be left alone and not have to read his idiotic comments. He has so many issues that soccer should be the least of them.

Anonymous said...

Great job to STA for making the finals of the top flight at Bethesda. Lost to a very tough Penn Fusion team. SJEB did well also finishing in a 4 way tie in the other bracket. NJ starting off strong...let's hope it continues.

Anonymous said...

Newws should be great with gfa in top bracket. Let's see if the genius of national champions continues. Much bitterness I guess living for soccer is as good a reason as any other to live. I for one enjoy each weekend with my daughter year round. So we all give time and money and it is very important no doubt. But to talk again about specific 13/14 year old girls is crazy and beyond what we are all trying to accomplish. I hope great player from gfa bodes well and is happy. It is what it is move on. Freehold is a great team for local yocal. Let's be honest and real.

Anonymous said...

Huh?

Anonymous said...

A good EDP team, you lost your top players, now you move up NPL to become a avg team, you will never play with top ECNL teams, just thr facts...

Anonymous said...

Facts are based on performances not your bitter opinion. Time will say. For them or any other team. Time will say if they are stronger or not.
Top players? Again just a bitter opinion. Teams change players every season. Time will say . Not you and your hate. Those are not facts.
To be a grown up and a father and to constantly check on another team and constantly wish for their failure is really sick and disturbing.
All teams in our state are providing different level of soccer that can fit any player out there. Whatever works for our daughters. Nothing else.
To have so much hate in youth environment is really disgusting.
This is the only fact you should consider when you look at yourself in the mirror

Anonymous said...

Well done!!!!

Dominating their way to yet another tournament failure against 3rd flight, no name teams. Oh mediocrity, my mediocrity!

PF ECNL looked really strong, so did premier Strikers of MD

I have to say, every time I start to soften towards the Wildcats and think that maybe things aren't as bad as they seem with that club - something happens that makes me break out in hives... This anointing the brick girl captain upon her arrival just rubs me the wrong way. Could she play a couple of months and actually earn it first? Not saying she isn't deserving. I couldn't pick her out of a line up - but you don't show up and immediately become a leader. Respect is earned... Yes it is an internal team issue - but did they the team vote? Sorry, this does impact how people outside of the club looking in... especially those of us with daughters who would consider joining the club at this age or other ages.

Cant wait the two BIG mouths will be going head to head atNEWSS

Anonymous said...

Brick?? Seriously??

Just let the players play and enjoy the f'in games. Don't you realize that you don't have many more years to enjoy the game that your daughter is playing. they all will play at different levels, some will excel and go onto play at a very high level some will not. Just like some will stay on their teams and some will find another team to play for, that is just the way it is and it will not change. Some will pay a lot to play for teams, to pay the coaches and field expenses and some will pay less. this sport like most youth sports have become a business, plain and simple. Stop the Bull&hit and grow up.

Why don't we discuss how we can promote good players, get them to get in front of the schools where they may want to play? Share that knowledge? Imagine if that team you are bashing has players that could play and the same team as your daughter next season or at a higher level? wouldn't you support those players, of course.

Yes, we all want success for our daughters and we all want them to win every game, the reality is that is not the case, they have to learn to deal with adversity as well.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE PLAYERS, ENJOY!!! Stay healthy and succeed!!!

Your worried about who is captain of a girls youth soccer team, really??

Anonymous said...

Biggest problem with GFA/Princeton is the coach.. He only cares about one team, his beloved u15's.. Sunk the rest o the program.. Screwed everyone to go to the npl. Hopefully it catches up to him

Anonymous said...

Is it the u15 blog? Everybody here should talk about u15 teams only right? The problem is you and only you constantly every day posting something negative about the club. We do not care! We do not care about your personal issues. Find a therapist and talk to him about your problems with youth soccer. YOUTH SOCCER! Young girls! Go away already and take with you the one that has an issue about who is the captain of a 14 years old team. Can we talk about soccer please

Anonymous said...

It's now a U15 team genius. And yes, when the captaincy is stolen from one girl undeservedly and handed to another (even more undeservedly) because of who daddy is (or was), it's an issue.

Anonymous said...

14 years old =u15 . genius. why you stay if that happen and you are very upset about it? why you don't leave?

Anonymous said...

Unfortunately this is what happens when mommies and daddy's are on the sidelines. Good luck WC... I guess the girls who left there old teams are only going to have that problem all over again.. Their kids will always be the favorite...

Anonymous said...

You shouldn't generalize with a statement like the one you just made. Not all are the same, I think you should be upset if you put your daughter in a situation where you were paying a lot of money to play on a team with the expectations of a paid coach, then a parent comes along with new players to the team and takes over, that seems like it could be an issue. There are a lot of coaches that are paid that are not very good and there are parents that coach that are not very good - But there are also very good coaches that are paid and very good coaches that are parents.

Who's kid isn't a captain anymore ? Same captains just one added is what I know.

Anonymous said...

Captain did a great job getting that team into top bracket? How does that happen...

Anonymous said...

I still say the goal at this level is continued development. Playing in realistic brackets. Challenging and playing against top talent from other states, whether you say it is or not. Set Realistic goals. The WC's lost on an unfortunate mistake in the finals. I don't believe they will regress. Only progress. If you are unhappy in your club or on your team, Leave. It's simple. I'm sure there is plenty of play time elsewhere for you. Oh I mean your daughter. Quit your complaining and bullying on a blog that should be productive discussion.

Anonymous said...

Ok ok. Who's kid is no longer a captain? Certainly an insider would know. The rest just speculate

Anonymous said...

Wonder who GFA merges with next year when this Princeton thing fails.. PDA or Matchfit to get his team in the ecnl

Anonymous said...

The fact that you wonder something like that at 6 in the morning is very twisted. Maybe you can focus on your life and your daughter. Like somebody said it before, youth soccer has lots of options , you should go wherever your daughter fits. If you do not like it you leave. Everything else should be about soccer not about trashing other teams or club or people or even young players. With everything that is happening in the world we should focus of enjoying our families and our children and maybe we should start showing a better way of behave around youth activities. And at 7,25 I am wondering if people like you would ever understand so I am probably wasting my time. You are hopeless and miserable. And it is always you! Lol to everybody else's enjoy what I hope to be a good healthy season of soccer wherever you play. Enjoy your time with your daughters!

10:30.. A lot of the bashing has nothing to do with the girls but instead the mgmt. He promised a lot of people a lot of things and then left most of them hanging with the move to Princeton. His only real interest is the U15 team. The other teams he can care less about.

Anonymous said...

gfa stuff here. They were National Champions at U14. Isnt that done and done, how can you complain coach only cares about U15, they were the best of the best. If my daughter won National Championship, single elimination, up to PDA Splash in June, then onto Indiana for National Champions what else do we want, what else is there? These girls, will never, ever, ever forget this, how can you??? WTF is wrong with people. Everyone wants to be the best and win, this guy did it with this group. I guess it is jealousy? And boy did 10:30 hit nail on head. Please some day let my daughter be a national champion, not just a winner in a laden filled guest tournament at FC Delco, but a true champion. That is not easy to be the last one standing in Indiana this past year. What a great team, well trained, well coached, what he does with other groups should not even be discussed on U15 board, I have enough to worry about with my U15 girl, as long as she is happy I do not care what other age groups are doing at my club.

Anonymous said...

11:28 and if you have a problem with other age group why you are here ? This is u15 . And again if you are not happy leave . If you already left good luck . And again always two sides of the story.

Anonymous said...

6 edp teams do not make a national champ, get it right man, still behind NPL and ECNL....just the facts.....see how you do in NPL this year and you will never play with the top ECNL teams

Anonymous said...

Ok , whatever you say ,now go back and focus on your daughter that is playing the top ecnl teams

Anonymous said...

There is only 1 National Champion... Legends from California South. State, Regional and National Champions.

Now that's a team. All GFA did was beat a few decent teams at the lower national tournament. Beat Legends and then call yourself the best in the nation.

Anonymous said...

Try and beat Commack 1st

Anonymous said...

3:49, thank you. now lets talk facts:somebody here mentioned the national champion. nobody call themselves anything. As a matter of fact it would be better not to be mentioned at all;but for some reason the same guy always bring gfa out here.
with that said , i have a question, and it is a pure question .no other meaning than satisfying my curiosity. it is not a "call yourself"or any proclamation of some kind of status.
question:to 2:04
"still behind NPL" based on what they are still behind NPL teams? stallions-crush-sta-manhattan-wildcats?
again just a question because i cannot see how they are behind.
second question:
"you will never play ecnl top teams" fc star-fc virginia-casl-world class-are not good teams?again just a question, and if they are not good teams ,which it might be to your knowledge, can you tell me based on the next events (news, casl, disney) if PDA or Match fit or anybody else in our state is playing better and stronger teams around?again just a question.
of course maybe all these tournaments are not important and you know of something exceptional happening out there where some exceptional teams are secretly playing at an exception level .in my opinion to have teams like this one playing and representing Nj out there at this level is a good thing as well as any other team doing well and representing our state .my opinions are based on soccer performances, results and level of play, brackets ,etc.. not the color of the jersey or personal issues.
please do not use my message as a "show off" of any kind. i just ask few questions.nothing more and nothing less.thank you

Anonymous said...

Again...I would not try to hard to break the GFA team up...it will mean less ECNL spots for everyone currently playing for those teams. That is FACT. Non starters who left our team made the ECNL rosters.

And for everyone who says they lost kids...and will be a completely different team. Keep this in mind. All of the girls that left our team (with the exception of 2 girls) already left the team when they won in Indiana!! And we have since added more talent.

Do me a favor...please write the GFA girls off. They stink. They lost all of their best players. it's all downhill now. Keep telling yourselves that. Haha!! Should be an easy win for everybody. WINK WINK...See you all soon!!

Anonymous said...

Name one NJ that has had a season like GFA:
FC Virginia
PENn fusion
FC continental DELCO
FC bucks
World class
PDA splash
Eclipse
And now
FC stars
CASL
That's a full ECNL bracket

The girl who left to world class is outstanding and so is dad and mom... But as noted before all those that left ... Will end up leaving the current teams because their parents want completed control.... They are all knowing when it comes to soccer... But no jack squat about raising children... Let them build their autonomy ... That's when true growth begins

IGFA played and verses 3. Has yet to play 1 although they have been in the same brackets several times over 2015. All good teams.

How many of these teams stay together next season and move up to U17 vs how many of them reshuffle and play with only 2001s at U16? I know I'm jumping ahead a little since this season hasn't even really started yet, sorry.

Anonymous said...

6:37 finally some soccer question! Yes that will be the factor but it has to be seen after August 2016

Anonymous said...

Way to early I know but this will be a huge factor come next season for many players (my kid for sure) - The smaller club teams that stay together because of lack of depth will have continue playing at a high level vs high level teams from deeper clubs that are a year older, not an easy task.

I think there are a couple of scenarios that will play a big part.

A: Team reshuffles and younger team is middle of the road.
B: Team reshuffles and younger team is high level team
C: Team reshuffles and both teams are at same level
D. Team plays up (high level) and will most likely play older high level teams in top flights at major events.

Depending on where your kid plays some of these bigger clubs like your ECNL clubs might make major gains this season as Impact players might move depending on their scenario to improve their chances at playing college ball and at the same time replacing kids that have plenty of talent but were not given much of an opportunity and only used as roster depth. These kids will become core players on some teams and impact players on others.

This will be a very interesting season with so many subplots going into next year sure to light up every youth soccer blog.

Looks as though NJCSA maybe the weakest team in the NPL league, they may struggle to earn a point in that division.

Anonymous said...

Time for crush to show up and deliver! New girls should be better than the ones that left. Let's go! They should have been in top flight at newss instead of stallions and copa.

Anonymous said...

Crush is lucky to even be in the second flight.

Road to Denver???

Well, there is a playoff this yer, so less emphasis on winning the league games.

Could go undefeated and untied and still not be in Colorado if you lose in playoffs

2016 NPL Finals
July 14-18, 2016
Aurora Sports Park
Aurora, Colo.

Agreed you need to win your league games first to qualify for your league's post season to even have a chance to fight for a spot at the Finals in the "Mile High City". PS. I hate Playoffs!!!

NorthEast Girls NPL top 4
EDP NPL top 4? (No official word)
NYCSL NPL top4? (No offical word)
Not sure if there will be a crossover cup this year, but that gives the NewEngland and NYCSL NPL teams another shot at the finals

Plus we have some local teams that applied to the 2016 Region I Champions League: The prize there is a spot in the National League for me, but also qualifies teams to the region 1 tournament in West Virginia with a Shot at Nationals in Texas.

FC Westchester Elite 01

Greater Binghamton United FC SELECT RILEY

Break out the checkbooks.

Question -if NPL team has girls that play ODP and team qualifies for Denver Finals do the girls skip out on the ODP Camp? Which is more important for the player? Country before team always but if you are not a NT level player, then what? Which is a better opportunity to land the school you want?

I had some typos in my my key date post and some were approx dates :(

Anonymous said...

Stay clear of ODP, used to be a good move, now more of just a money grab with 3rd tier players, very limited exposer to college coaches. There are much better routes to take for your daughter

Anonymous said...

Is that current consensus on odp? why do so many players, that are very good, still go to it?

Anonymous said...

ODP is just another thing to put on her soccer resume. it's very expensive and I can only talk for NJ, the team was meh the last few years and for the price, not worth it. Also a big deterent is location, they divide the state into a north and south team but there is only 1 training location near Trenton. Every week for 10 weeks to drive to trenton for so so training during school (wednesdays)becomes a big pain.
Girls are getting ID'ed by other avenues now (iD2, PDP, etc.), so it doesnt carry as much weight as to when it was the only game in town. there are still sections of the country where they produce very strong teams, but not in NJ.

Anonymous said...

ODP remains the only independent id program. By that I mean it is club independent and coach independent. No recommendations need to be made like NTC and id2 and club definitely impacts a players success at getting into id2. So what's unique is the fact that a kid can decide to throw her own hat in the ring. If a kid makes the regional team that competes in Boca Raton that is still considered and accomplishment and she will be seen by many coaches as they dont have a lot of competing games to see like at major showcases. Only one or two simultaneous games. Also there are national coaches at each game. This year the '01 u15 national team is playing all of the 99 regional teams. The 00 regional team has some of the best kids (not all of the best kids) but many who would be starters on any 00 team. HBC, NEFC and several of the ECNL teams are well represented. If the kid makes the regional team or is a weak player who is the bottom of the program and benefits by playing with better players, its potentially beneficial. Huge gap between the regional players who keep coming back and the bottom of the roster. That didnt used to be the case when the state team meant something. Now it's just the route the regional players have to run to get to Boca Raton.

Also seems like its the way a really good kid from the a small club from no where could get noticed if she really shines and makes the regional team.

How did PDA Shore do today? Anyone see them play?

Anonymous said...

Can somebody inform of the various results of the day?

Anonymous said...

They are below town team level. Why some people would pay to play at that level is beyond logic. Just a money grab!

Anonymous said...

PDA Shore Revolution played very well...good soccer.! Great group of girls. They lost to TRIC 1-0 but owned possession and lost on a "kick and chase". Not bad for only their second game together...good things to come!

Anonymous said...

Saw that game....TRIC was horrible team and only scored on goalie getting caught out too far. PDA should have beat them badly but couldnt finish. They look like good team in the making

Anonymous said...

You are right TRIC looked the same as two years ago. No improvement and bad coaching

LMAO!

Tric parents need to be quiet really that team has been together for a long time same group of girls no improvement ...
