U11G / U11 Girls Youth Soccer

U11G  / U11 Girls youth soccer seems to offer the most teams and the widest diversity of talent. Where these players will end up is anyone guess. Welcome to the ride.

PDA you don't have to defend what you do - we all know the serious soccer players will find you guys - they would be crazy if they didn't tryout for PDA.

I was just shocked to find out that you held your tryouts already. I guess we missed the boat.

And yes I would be happy if my daughter made either Storm or Dragons to play in NPL.

What a game.. said...

Fall MOSA Cup finals at Manalapan finally finished.
Howell United SC Outlaws v. Manalapan Dynamite.
Howell starts off with, and plays the entire first half with only 10 players, while the Dynamite play 11. They have several nice chances, but don't finish. First half ends 0-0.
Second half Howell finally gets a full team and plays a dominating half and regulation ends 1-1.
The two teams plays thru both overtime periods with no score. Howell dominates, but the Manalapan keeper keeps them even.
The PK's start with a Howell goal and a Manalapan miss. They both net the next three until a Howell miss.
Both teams make #6, but a Howell miss on #7 and that gives Manalapan the Cup.
Gotta give the Outlaws props for a first half playing with only 10 and then playing above the Dynamite the other 50 minutes with NO subs.

NIce job Oultaws!!!

To the 9:30 Poster: Do you feel better now getting all that BS off your chest? You came, you played, you lost. stop with the sob stories. No subs, 10 girls. wah, wah, wah. Do you know if the other team had all their girls? If anyone was playing injured? Whatever. Seems like you need to feel better about yourself. Perhaps a therapy session, a massage or a couple of drinks could help with that. Try to enjoy the rest of the spring season without giving reasons why you didnt win and then putting down the team that did win. LOSER.

Feels bad for U... said...

It was a simple game summary. It was a great game for both teams. I'd guess you're either a GAK parent or one of those clueless "academy daddy's" who never made it high school sports.
And where is it that your lil' angel plays?
#yourweeklycheckisduesucka

Anonymous said...

She plays for Manalapan, same place the hardware went for last night's victory. Enjoy 2nd place (also known as first loser).

Anonymous said...

Wait, you played one up, and then they held you to a tie thru a full half plus 2 tens?? I wouldn't be bragging about that dude. In fact, you should ask for a refund and start looking for a new team.
Since Howell sounds like it is short, maybe your kid could help sub IF their girls ever get tired......

Anonymous said...

Lets get something straight. Howell does not know how to play soccer. What they do know how to do is beat the crap out of the opposing team physically. They continually kick the ankles of the players when the ball is no where in sight. As well as try to throw the plays accross the field and purposely push them down. The coach and the parents encourage their behavior. They rarely get called on it by the refs. Don't know why when they are clearly breaking the rules .

Gakster said...

Don't talk shit about us GAK parents you HOMO, we talk about our team and we don't bad mouth no one, so you with the Nepolian complex get a life you scumbag!!!!

GAK Tryouts this week 7, 10, and 14th, at the GAK fields from 6:00 to 7:30

Anonymous said...

To the 6:52 Poster: I didnt see Manalapan bragging about anything. What I did see is a Howell parent giving their "version" of the game last night with a lot of whining and excuses why they lost. In soccer and i guess other sports there will always be something to complain about: our best player was sick, injured, some players were away, sick. Girls were tired, etc. There's no sympathy on this Blog so keep your feelings to yourself and better luck next time. Looks like poster 8:05 was at the game and saw the Howell girls play caveman soccer. So perhaps opposing team should be commended for not giving up, not having to be carried off the field with a broken limb, and winning the game even though the Howell girls play dirty. Nice job.

Anonymous said...

I was at the game last night and didn't think the Howell team dominated. I think both teams were pretty evenly matched. Didn't seem like a physical game either. Manalapan goalie had some good stops during the game. Watched it come down to penalty kicks. It was a good game all around IMHO

There are a bunch of good teams in PA, MD, VA not represented in NPL yet.

I'm telling you with all these teams jumping to NPL it's going to open a path straight to R1 for Manalapan, Howell, GAK and other teams like this.

US Club Soccer has a vision and it seems like the big Clubs are on board,.

I also see id2 taking over for ODP

You won the Cup and good for you. However, you didn't win the match. Its officially a draw. Learn the rules. Games that are decided by SPOT kicks are deemed a draw. And please don't call them penalty kicks because no one was penalized. You can't win on kicks, but you can advance. Since its a final, you are declared the Champions. If you don't believe what I'm telling you, go look it up. Try the 2006 WC final between Italy and France or the '94 final between Brazil and Italy.

Anonymous said...

Hey GAKster, how is that MOSA recreation (aka "premier") league treating ya? For what it's worth, Manalapan & Toms River got sick & tired of dominating teams there so they left along with NJX. Which is only reason GAK finds itself playing in that premier recreation division where passing, possession & skills do not win games. Pure athleticism wins games there - kick the ball & beat the other girls to it & kick it in the goal. That's MOSA Premier & you can't win even that sort of game.

Anonymous said...

Question? How is Manalapan in the MOSA Cup if they don't play MOSA anymore?

Anonymous said...

10:57

The funny thing is or not so funny is that style is played at the so called higher leagues as well.

The girls that are built for possession style games take a back seat to girls who can't pass but can run and don't give up on a play along with the defenders that just kick the ball to clear it instead of possessing the ball or Goalies that can punt it a mile instead of laying it of at the back and letting the team build up the attack.

It happens all over - and the coaches justify it by Wins get us into the Big Tournaments or keeps us in the top flight of our league.

That's why I am a fan of NPL and any league that accepts the club and makes the club put a team in each age division. The coaches can't use the excuse of wins keeps us in the top flight - guess what you are in the top flight in NPL and coaches can concentrate on development and the teams that are better get a chance to compete against the nation while the others that need more work can work on it without the fear of dropping a flight.

Gakster said...

You obviously have never been to a higher level game, because they play kick and run also, so keep watching your saturday morning rec games where the faster kids look like superstars moron!!!!!! I watched Lasalle play Rutgers a few weeks back and they played the long ball right over the mid field, but you would'nt understand that, a bunch of idotic morons on this blog, some of you people don't have a clue about the game.

Anonymous said...

11:44

Excellent points, well taken. But definitely less of a kickball style game in what you refer to as the higher leagues. There might be some of that but in MOSA that is all the girls are taught - kick the ball down the field, try to outrun the opposition & kick it as far & as hard as you can towards the net. At least in the higher league they are taught soccer which will prepare these girls well for high school & college play.

Anonymous said...

12:49 Not sure how to respond to your post.

Do you watch MLS?
Do you follow MLS?
Ae you familiar with the Homegrown Player Rule?
Are you aware that the MLS wants to get away from the college draft?

Probably because most of the schools play the style you watched

Since some of us don't have a clue about the game - you care to enlighten us on US higher level soccer and why we are so successful at the international level? Is it because of this "kick and run" style you speak of? Must be.

I am so wrong and such a moron. But I've already called myself and idiot on this board - so does moron trump idiot?

I understand why MatchFit didn't do the summer Super Y league, they are ECNL now. I'm curious why we don't have more local teams playing in this league? 10 games for $1,500 plus national seems like a better bargain than playing 3 MAPS tournaments for $1,965.

Because of hurricane Sandy the fall cup was postponed. Manalapan was on MOSA this past fall. They just completed the tournament in the spring.

Anonymous said...

Has anyone ever heard of a u11 team called International Girls Futbol Academy? Thanks.

Anonymous said...

Who won the Somerset Hills vs Dragons game today?

Anonymous said...

Crush beat STA 1-0, embarrassing game for our team. Our girls got outplayed in every aspect and they are just not improving. After today, my child is looking elsewhere! No chemistry on STA at all, girls can't stand each other and almost all have an issue with same girl. Either this is addressed or many others looking to bolt also.

Anonymous said...

Your just realizing now that STA is just a money maker. No development .Rumor has it two girls already left? All teams stay stagnant. Call around some clubs and ask for tryout session. Good luck!!

Question is why did girls leave?

Is because STA is now NYCSL NPL and they are going to have to travel to NY, CT & MA for road games in addition to NJ games? or was it really NO DEVELOPMENT?

The club finally joins a legit league for the girls to develop and people throw around no development

Anonymous said...

"Somerset 3 PDA Dragons 0"

Seriously? OMG - That is pathetic. A Basking Ridge town team smoking an "academy" team.

First, Dragons, lose to Ajax - officially making them the PDA C team - then this? Utter embarrassment.

Everyone piles on Daddy coach but he just seems to suck as a coach, period. He should just resign.

DRAGONS PDA C TEAM SUCK AT SOCCER>

Anonymous said...

Not leaving STA because of travel. We just dont seem to be getting better. Havnt been scoring for a few years now. Really nice coach just can't get us to the next level. Can't win any big games.

Anonymous said...

Leagues don't develop our girls coach's do. Only one coach at STA develops players and he won't be around younger ages much longer.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, I get that about leagues - but in theory you have teams with no pressure to win in order to stay in the flight so they could concentrate on development. In addition they have access to the below since STA is now part of NPL At the end of the day ONLY you know what's best for your kid, wish your kid lots luck in following her dreams:

US Club Soccer’s Player Development Programs (PDPs) are regionally-based identification and developmental programs conducted within the id2 Program umbrella and centered around the National Premier Leagues in specific geographic areas.

Anonymous said...

Sounds like STA and DRAGONS are the next 2 teams to disband. Not like its rare to happen, but it sounds like losing a game was the decision maker!

First off, Dragons are not an academy team! They are the 2nd team to an academy team(or 3rd team, whatever)!
Come on parent, you have to post your teams sucks because you lost, that's just comical in its own right!

STA, dont hear much from you on this board. One kid on the team that disruptive? Here's a hint, get rid of the player! Lost players mid season, ask yourself this, Why? Did they not get enough play time? Were they top players on the team? Were the parents insane (we do have that issue, just read this blog)?

Who else hates their team? Tis is not the season to be jolly!

Anonymous said...

"Because of hurricane Sandy the fall cup was postponed. Manalapan was on MOSA this past fall. They just completed the tournament in the spring."

Howell beat Colts Neck a few weeks ago, (who they were scheduled to meet in the semis last season) but I can't see who the Manalapan team played to get in the final.

Can I ask who they beat in the semi- finals to move onto the final?

Where's that pathetic Manalapan daddy to answer this??

Anonymous said...

Wasn't it GAK?

Um, yea.
Those unknowing Howell girls going undefeated and unsecured upon in MOSA last season. (26 goals for & 0 against) You quietly hacked your way thru winning both the Jackson & Howell tourneys. That and ending 21-2, i guess you must of paid off a crap load of referees.

I guess they must of beat your sweet angels team pretty bad huh? # tellheritllbeokay.

Don't knock the honesty of folks about their own teams. I appreciate the poster's honesty and how they feel about lack of development for their daughter. It also sounds like they stayed around in hopes of that development but it didn't work out. The poster didn't bash the team or coach - actually said the coach was nice - but that their unhappiness stemmed from a lack of growth. You can't get better, more honest insider information than that. Thank you poster for telling us how it is. Good luck with your search for a new club and I hope you are able to get the development you desire and DESERVE!

Trouble in paradise.Academy let down

First pda Dragons with all their problems with coaching etc. now just can not compete. Parents over look the coaching issue because they pay top dollar to be pda, but can they withstand losing? I think not

maybe 1-0 now and then, but getting smoked 3-0 by an average team is embarrassing. Door to your left, a little crowded now exiting.

STA? not more to be said that hasn't already been revealed.

Premier NJ Cup- Favorite to win it is Toms River. Only game from I see was the game vs Match Fit Jaguars.

Super Group:
Holmdel over Rage- 2-1- very close to pick by leaning with NJX

Crush over Match Fit- 1-0- Have to give Crush advantage due to more experience playing 11v11.

Will be good games either way.

NY Cup: I see East Islip beats WC 2-0 but only tied Match Fit Jaguars 0-0- (did not Match Fit Jaguars pick up new girls?)

FC Sting over North Rockland- I am shocked by this.

Congratulations and good luck to the final four of the nj cup. All 4 teams can beat each other and have beat each other. So why try and predict? Toms River FC COPA U12G (FALL) Elite Tryouts. Toms River FC will hold tryouts for elite level committed soccer players on Thurs 5/9 & 5/16 6-7:30pm. Our new paid head coach is a ex-prof player with US Men's National team playing experience. The team will play in the EDP & JAGS MAPS in the fall as well as compete in Elite level tournaments (i.e. Jeff Cup/WAGS/FC DELCO) Please visit our website for details and to register for this free tryout. www.tomsriverfc.com

When did this become a tryout blog. When did TRFC get accepted into EDP and Jags Maps. When did they get accepted into the Jefferson Cup. Might as well state its free to play as well. Once again don't believe everything you read on this blog and do your own research. Enough with the tryouts, if you have a good product people will find you.

Great news, that Toms River will look to enter the fray in elite level U12 girls soccer in 2013-14

The more qualified Jersey teams the better. Good option for players living in that area and seeking a change of scenery

9:37 --- "Best four teams in state by far in semi's Rage, Crush, NJX, MF"

Couldn't agree with you more & the view from the top is scary. Because afte this group there is too big of a dropoff. This is like baseball, we need some sort of cap to spread out the talent. Look at it this way, if we took a U11 team of all stars every player would come from these 4 teams.

Plenty of other "good" teams but these are the great ones. Everyone else is looking up & its a long way to get to our quality. It's been a fun ride, keep it going baby!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

i guess you are discounting the PDA Storm.

I am not a PDA parent butI do think you guys are in fantasy land if you think that these 4 teams are superior to the PDA storm.. I don't know who the better teams are but not to include them is just wishful thinking. By the way , they are the state champs-arent they?

Anonymous said...

Any top 4 that does not include PDA Storm is silly and most likely posted by a backend roster kid's dad from NJ Crush.

Anonymous said...

Nah - just an oversight

--

and sure - Storm is State Champs - in perpetuity - if they never enter again

Anonymous said...

PDA Storm is playing low level U12 Jags teams and disappeared. Last I checked they lost to Rage & NJX Holmdel and bolted to U12 Jags.

It ain't so. Can not afford pda. Plus the win to lose ratio is too expensive for most.

Saw Toms River play my daughter's team. WOW ! What a wonderful soccer team, and so well coached. The parents are really nice and I hear they are looking to add a player or maybe even two.

Anonymous said...

yea I agree, PDA Storm in that upper tier of great u11 teams in NJ. Then its a big dropoff after that. Its not even close & that is complaint I have. These 5 teams can't just play each other all the time. Seems to me the strong keep getting stornger & all the others satisfied with being just a "good team" & get moral victories from losing by one or 2 goals against us.

Not looking to stir the pot just stating facts. Look at score history - State Cup & Jeff Cup for starters - & you will see what I mean.

& yes, I am a proud parent for one of these teams.

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know how PDA will handle the u11 girls when it's Northeast Girls NPL time with three teams?

I know at u14 - storm will move to ECNL, but that still leaves two teams for NPL, will they both play in NE? Will one play NE and the other EDP?

u11 - Storm pre-ecnl
u11 - Dragons ecnl b
u11 - ajax ecnl b

So where does that leave teams like Rage and NJX? Teams that are very clearly among the top, but left without a worthwhile league. Tournaments and State Cup only? Play for GS points?

Anonymous said...

I believe the Rage site said they will play in EDP NPL

u11 Renegades - EDP
u12 Freedom - EDP/NPL
u13 Rampage - EDP/NPL
u14 New EDP Team

and isn't NJX part of Match Fit these days?

I think we will see more US CLub Soccer Premier Leagues popping up - not sure about NPLs - only time will tell.

Great idea! Ditch the leagues and play tournaments. Lots of high level teaching/training scrimmages etc.. Get points with out paying high prices, what a concept.

NYCSL - Fee: $300 U10-U18 League Play per season

ONE Tournament
Manalapan Soccer Club 27th Annual Memorial Day Application Fees $500 - $575

How many of these types of tournaments do you need to play in to get those GS points

OR

You can play

MAPS CUP 2013 SPRING [U11-U14]
Application Fees $795 - $965

Lots of GS points but how many of these can you do a season.

So which is cheaper

22 games for $300

or get GS points at the below rates.

4 games for $575 (low level)
4 games for $965 (high level)

Brilliant.

Why are they the favorite, have you seen the other teams play recently?

Athough the BOCA team is only a select team and doesn't practice together, they do play very well together.

Whatever the outcome, it should be a good final. See everyone there regardless.

For NJ, How about for a Turnpike league with 3 divisions (North, Central, South). If there are stronger teams, they can be swapped in/out, this was just for a sample to see how it could shake out. You could have divsion games and cross division games.

North
PDA Storm
Match Fit Lady Falcons
NJ Crush Tsunamis
Somerset Hills Flash
MU/STA Heat Red
TSF Academy 01/02
PDA Dragons
SDFC Samba
GFA (Wayne) Blue Devils
FC Copa Lima

Central
Holmdel NJX Celtic
East Brunswick Lightning
NJ Wildcats Averbuch
Toms River Copa
Wall Liberty
Howell Outlaws
Manalapan Dynamite
Stafford United
Jersey Boca Crew
GAK Spirit

South
Rage Premier Freedom
PDA Ajax
Medford Hurricanes
Washington Utd Fever
Atlantic Avalanche
Burlington Barracudas
Marlton Storm
South Jersey Elite Barons
Haddonfield Lightning
Pittsgrove Rush

EDP is the US Club NPL league in NJ. I doubt you will see another one in the state.

Anonymous said...

There you go and make it a NPL league so you can send the champion to the National Champions Cup and you'll make everyone happy.

From just looking at the posts I'm surprised PAGS or VCCL haven't tried to make their top flights a NPL league

since PAGS has teams from PA, DE & MD

and VCCL has VA and MD also covered.

Anonymous said...

or since 12:07 is probably right - join EDP

Anonymous said...

Stronghold actually beat Westfield 4-1 in MNJ 8 v 8.
Stronghold is first place in MNJ but Cranford(my kid's team has tied them twice this year).

Cranford team just needs two or three more girls for u12 11 v 11but MidNJ will have a U12 8 v 8 next season just in case. NJ soccer is not a draconian as everyone here posts - not all just about $$

Anonymous said...

I agree

coach s said...

Whomever posted the JAGS other other results, I owe you a beer.
Thank you!

As for the Turnpike League, not a bad idea. But that North group would be very strong, definately a need for cross grouping games. And the Central group, well, there are several of those teams that won't be around in the Fall.

Anonymous said...

1:03 pm which groups?

Anonymous said...

sorry, which teams won't be around in the fall?

Anonymous said...

From the north, heard STA Red might be disbanding

Anonymous said...

interested in the "central" group 1:03 pm talks about

Anonymous said...

The Turnpike league seems like a great idea so that means it has no shot to happen. Imagine having the girls play excellent competition within the state and growing rivalries. Which teams from the proposed Central are disbanding? Good luck to the final 4 in the Supergroup, I hope to get there and watch some good soccer.

Anonymous said...

get there early :)

Anonymous said...

-BOCA Crew: coach is starting a new league, "Real Shore Lakewood FC".

-Stafford: coach is leaving Stafford and form new BOCA U12G.

-Wall Liberty: several players leaving for NJ Force.

Anonymous said...

BOCA Crew is now TRIC Crew, no?

Anonymous said...

For the Turnpike league, yes, definitely cross division games and to reduce travel etc. they could set up designamted dates where 4-8 teams meet in Central Jersey (Mercer Park like the Spring cup) for a 2-3 game event and North and South teams won't have to travel too much. PA teams could also fill in too as a 4th division.

Anonymous said...

The top 3 clubs will be WC, PDA and MF
They will all be gone in a year and you know where they will be. I know, ecnl is not important, but they will be gone anyway. Should settle the discussions on this blog and no one will care about those teams anymore because they will be completely out of sight and competing with each other and the other elite national clubs.

Anonymous said...

All for the turnpike league. I really like 2:55 suggestion. The central division was at one time called mosa.

Anonymous said...

Heard PDA STORM..CRUSH..NJX..MATCHFIT all disbanding also

This is crazy...what are we going to talk about

Anonymous said...

Agree that crush will, they have no fields and will never have a shot at ecnl.

They will be on this blog alone, but they are half the blog anyway.

Anonymous said...

Heh

I think Crush is OK with that

Not sure they will NEVER have their own place..

Anonymous said...

How come the turnpike suggestion doesn't have any of the 8v8 teams playing in MNJ?

PS. 3:16 How about youth soccer in general?

I post league standings from NY, NJ, PA, VA and can talk MA and CT youth soccer as well.

Yes I do I have a life - just happen to be very good at fantasy Basketball, Football, Baseball and Hockey - so this research is a walk in the park.

Anonymous said...

When club goes ecnl, they give up a lot of control. Some clubs are seconding the decision.
Not all as promised, but what ever is.

Anonymous said...

Turnpike league is not a bad idea but i would rather see EDP simply go with a Premiership and a Championship.

The regional divisions do not offer all teams equal competition. Split it on ability and have a promotion and relegation.

My team would be 2nd tier but would be better for it.

OHHH YAAAAAA the Gakster likes what he sees tonight, excellent turnout for tryouts, 4 kids look really good the other 3 should goto PDA. GACR!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

As to post 2:01.....I heard Wall has the majority of their players going to NJ Force.....doesn't look like they will have a team for the fall

Anonymous said...

EDP will not accept individual teams

To go NPL the entire club needs to be in (a team at each level)

Anonymous said...

Those wall people will be miserable at NJ Force, those coaches should only be coaching older kids not young girls.

Anonymous said...

EDP absolutely accepts individual teams. Just look at u11.

Even some of the core clubs don't have transact each age group. That's the beauty of EDP, in that you don't have to field all of your teams there. Only the ones that can be competitive.

When they restructure divisions next season it will be superb.

Anonymous said...

ok, thanks

I thought it was an NPL rule, could be it's just NYCSL

Does anyone have a take on the NJ Stallions?

I know one of the coaches from NJ Crush moved there this spring and brought along the state's top ranked U15 and U13 teams with him.

So I assume the girls program there is in the process of getting a lot more serious. And the Stallions relationship with NJSA now gives them USSF Development Academy status, right?

I'd be interested to hear opinions about this.

Anonymous said...

Just wanted to correct an error in my post above. It looks like the Crush teams that move to the Stallions did so last fall as opposed to this spring.

Sorry about that.

Anonymous said...

Okay, now I'm feeling like an idiot!

Upon further review, it now looks like the U15 girls moved to Stallions in the fall and the U13s went in the spring.

(like this really makes a difference.)

Sorry again!!!

Anonymous said...

For this age group

I have heard there will be a U12 Stallions team for 2013-14. And I dont think they brought in an entire team.

Anonymous said...

No, I wasn't under the impression any more of the Crush teams would move. So I assume Tsunami will stay put.

But I am wondering if anyone has a take on the U12 team they will field in the fall. Is there a current U11 team there? If so, are they any good and any thoughts about the coach? Might there be new players coming on board?

In other words, might this be a decent option for a talented player?

What do you know about this? are they also adding an 8v8 option like on the boys side for the clubs that want to keep their teams small sided?

Anonymous said...

4:50 - I wan't saying Match Fit cost $1500.

I was saying that I understand why they don't play Super Y anymore - but I didn't understand why more teams didn't jump on board to play Super Y in the summer.

$1,500 is the cost per team to play Super Y (10 games - one game per week plus and ODP id process) compared to playing only two tournaments for the same price.

My bad - if it didn't read that way.

Anonymous said...

MF is $3K a year plus extras and will go up to $8K a year at least by U14.

Anonymous said...

You all are cracked! $8k a year for MatchFit at U14? Please, MF will have several different teams playing several different leagues. The big bucks will be paid by the ECNL team and is currently estimated at $6k per year, all in. Meaning inclusive of airfare and travel costs. The non ECNL teams will still be paying more than local town teams but their annual 'tuition' will be around $2500-$3000, not including travel and hotel. I have no comment on whether it's worth it or not. Dont let others scare you out of the big clubs. Sure, they are not for everyone and I certainly wouldn't fork over the bucks if my kid was playing minimal time on the 3rd team with an OK coach. Do your homework, make your decisions based on what you can afford and what kind of commitment your kid is willing or wanting to make.

#grassisalwaysgreener said...

Now, lets talk about this weekends NJ CUP!

Cant talk much about Premier cup - I think Toms river will slide into the winners circle, someone posted about MF Jaguars game, they were right. It was a good game and honestly, the MF Jaguars are a very decent team. Cant see anyone beating TR in this division!

Ok, the JUICY Super Group!

NJX vs. RAGE - Oh MAN! You want to see a game of playa's, here you go!
Both these teams play such a similar game, it will not be a game of skill but a game of error's! Make a mistake, and you are dead! These girls will take full advantage of a positioning error and you will pay the price, trust me! All 22 girls on the field at any time are top notch players, Dont miss this one!

Crush vs. Match Fit - AMAZING MATCH UP!

This MF team or Cinderella team as I like to call them, have to have a fairy god mother over them. They are beating teams that should CRUSH them(sorry, bad humor!). They dont play 11vs11, but they keep beating teams that do? How do you do that? What hype-up juice do you feed your players, coach? I want a gallon! Not many of us know much about you, so let me add a little Hype-up juice of my own for any fool that wants to read this: Since 9/9/2012 you played in 15 games in the NPL, Your goal against average is .46 Thats right, less than 1/2 point per game! You wooped Oakwood 3-1 just recently(until then, you were their ONLY tie, and they had never lost a game), You played TSF, which I find to be a decent team, that plays 11vs11 Full time, and beat them 3-0. Your team scores goals, your mid fielders know how to control and slow down their opponents and your defense is now to be known as the IRON CURTAIN! Your team has it all and you will need it all this weekend. I am honored to watch it!

Crush you are much better than your record! Picked up a couple of very strong players to add to their already destructive arsenal! They have the same coach for many years, who is top notch, and play a very nice game! Against strong teams they struggle a little to get the ball in scoring position. This will be what the coach needs to figure out before the game starts, or they will be in trouble. I know you just recently lost a Small sided game to MF, but this is large sided baby, 11 warriors vs. 11 warriors, now get that offense on the move!

If you read this far, might as well finish reading!

This is going to be a great weekend of soccer. All age groups being represented, but none from what I see, as equal as this U11 age group. Bring your kids to watch, you wont be dissapointed! In fact, look around the field and if you see a guy with a Red hat sitting by himself, come by, have a seat and say hello!

Oh, so you ask, who do I think will win? Who the hell cares!!!

Thanks for wasting your time reading this post. Now go get a life!

Anonymous said...

I'm gonna call NJX over Rage......

just a hunch...

The other game....

well...

Crush is very stingy at 11 v 11.....

but do I see them shutting MF out?

No

Will Crush be able to break through the MF defense and net one?

I am not sure.

Thus....

A 1-1 tie into PKs (50-50 endeavor) or a 1-0 MF win...

If Crush were to get a 1-0 or 2-1 win in regulation, that's a great job.

Stay away from NJ Force at this age group, the coach has some serious issues in the past that will surface, I hope it is not too late for those who may have gone to tryouts and committed to this team. It will be a sad awakening for those who have comitted and end up playing for this individual.

Reading all these posts about U11G soccer brings back memories of the Good ole days. Just a few thoughts and some advice about the soccer journey we have been through over the years
When you start it seems like forever until yo or your child reaches U17 or the end of their soccer career, but it comes faster than you may realize, so enjoy it.
All the practices and car rides (which when we add them up are much more than we would like to admit) sometimes irrelevent in the moment, but take some time to enjoy the time spent with your kid driving them to and from practice/training/games. It will be over much sooner than you know.
The scores of old games that at the time seemed so important fade, and instead you'll remember the hugs, the tears and the truimphs of these years. In other words enjoy what really matters. Your child and the time spent with them during this process.

Win at all costs. These memories last forever.

Amen! but who are the best teams at U11G and who will be the best at U12G. Top 10 Please let us know what you think. " Do you really want a ranking or do you just want to hear your daughter's team is #1.
What if she's not, will you complain that the person who ranked the teams was an idiot.
Everyone knows there are different levels at this age group. NJX, PDA, MF, etc are at the top, then you have some top mid level, and so on. Can a top mid level beat a PDA or MF any given day, yes.
Enough with the rankings at 11 years old. Sounds like someone is living through their daughter's playing career.

why do parents feel the need to leave good town based programs. Especially when they have had success. They develop the young players then they leave and go to Academy programs. Why leave if things are good?

Anonymous said...

5:12 Because a good town team will always be a good town team and there is nothing wrong with that.. But as girls get better and start to have dreams - The town teams in general won't play regional or possibly nationally.

Good Training is only part of the equation. The opportunity to train with the best and play against the best at your age group will always trump a good town team that wins games and accumulates gotsoccer points. While us parents love the Wins - it's exposure that eventually trumps everything - either via ODP, ECNL, Super Y, NPL or what other leagues might pop up.

The problem is some of these clubs talk the talk but they don't walk the walk.

We need to research ask questions - and sometimes even post questions on this board (but we must keep an open mind) .

That my attempt at trying to answer your question.

B Teams......

I sat back for a year to see how this year would turn out. I remembered posts about the B team for Match Fit. Coach split team up and did not care about this team, blah blah, my stupidity I read these posts and did not have my daughter tryout, what a mistake on my end.

After watching this team for almost a year. I have to say, this coach cares about both teams equally. This Lady Jaguars team is very impressive, I believe with a few new additions. This team will be a top notch team and will be able to battle the Falcons. My U11 daughter does not play for Match Fit but my U13 daughter does, so I do see this first hand as I am at the practice every night. My daughter will be trying out next week, not sure if she can make these teams but its worth a shot.

I see many people complain about B teams, even PDA Dragons. I can't comment on Dragons but can provide you with a good insight for this Lady Jaguars team. Coach has them playing at a very high level and I am very impressed with how he did this in such a short time. Girls seemed to be having so much fun all the time.

My point is, B teams are not a bad place to be as long as the coach puts them in a position to be successful and learn the game.

Anonymous said...

I feel bad for CRUSH, they have the ugliest orange uniforms, they have no fileds and now they have this guy writing sports columns about his own daughters team.
Good luck crush, you need all the help you can get.

Anonymous said...

"My point is, B teams are not a bad place to be as long as the coach puts them in a position to be successful and learn the game."

Dragon's coach is indecisive in his in-game decisions on positions and playing time and offensive strategy.
He is even more indecisive about try-outs and choosing new talent to help the team get better. His main reason for doing all this is to occasionally help coach his own daughter and when he does she gets the most minutes she's had all season(someone dispute this last fact).

Anonymous said...

Yikes, may go to the games just to watch CRUSH lose and this guy crie in public. PDA and Matchfit are saints compared to this freak.

A majority of time, it naïve parents. Sadly they can't see thru the salesman pitch about how "their academy is bestest ever" and "yes your kid is the best player in our program". Are there good academy programs, yes. Are a lot of these clubs in it for the cash, yes.

i've seen it time and time again. 95% of A flight town teams do not teach the kids properly. kids trying to come into a top program at u11-u12 are lacking some fundamental foot work.. Even if they are the best kid on their A flight town team, when they try to work out with a team like match fit or PDA, they are lacking the fundamental skill work that always shows up in the small sided games /drills. You see, the difference immediately...you go to a reputable academy program by u10 and you take technical classes outside of the town team.....there are of course exceptions to this as there are some great town teams with some very knowledgeable coaches.
