U11G / U11 Girls youth soccer seems to offer the most teams and the widest diversity of talent. Where these players will end up is anyone guess. Welcome to the ride.
Doesnt look like Middletown tourney scores are posted yet. Could be because manalapan beat middletown 5-2. I think Gak lost to Middletown 2-1. Not sure about Wall vs Gak but I can only imagine that Gak didnt come out victorious. Especially since the Gakster hasn't posted anything. Come on Gakster. What were the scores?
The Gaks looked good, but were short on players,as were other teams.i think they lost 2 close games....Manalapan won their bracket, wall looked good finishing 2nd ,Middletown got 3rd.Not sure about other brackets.
Hi, all could we please stop talking about the GAK.I watched one of there games yesterday,it was at best a flight three team.Total lack of coaching or substance on the field.Wall not much better GAKSTER,time to cheer for another team, by posting for them you are doing that team a grave injustice , as i see it you will just make them the laughing stock of the post.Maybe you should post a blog on coaches for your team as they clearly cant handle premiere play as other teams at this level have bad coaches. Also i also agree with the comment about your so called super trainer lisa g what she did 30 years ago doesnt translate in todays soccer. She should worry ablout her team as players are dropping like flies to PDA. NO MORE PLEASE GAKSTER we all have headaches from your childish post ,good luck in the bysh leagues.
To the 3/23 4:15 poster: Congrats on your daughter being so talented and superior at the age of 10 that the mere mention of the middletown tourney made you reply, "are you serious? they probably used 6ft pugg goals". I hope your daughter is more tolerable than you and doesnt feel the need to post ugly, idiotic remarks about a tournament that didnt include NJX, PDA or Rage. There are kids that play on other teams besides those "elite" ones and theyre entitled to be discussed on this forum just like everyone else. It's pompous jerks like you that make ruin this blog by putting other teams down. Remember, your daughter is 10-11 years old. A lot can happen in these next few years. The girls who played in your so called "pugg goal" tourney may just beat your daughter out of a college scholarship one day. Take your rudeness and sarcasm elsewhere. It's not wanted or needed on this blog.
Fair enough, I apologize if my "Pugg Goal" reference offended you. To be clear, my daughter plays soccer because she loves the game. Her college tuition is my responsibility.
Please, tell us about your daughters soccer team this weekend.
To the 11:48 Poster: Apology accepted, even if I do believe it was laced with a twinge of sarcasm. In any event, my daughter's team played well. She also plays because she loves the game. That's one of the reasons that your comment was offensive. Other talented girls play soccer. Why or why not they don't play for the so-called "top" teams at this age is their parent's business. I will end by saying good luck to all the girls this season. Play for the love of the game. Where the game takes you in the future is just icing on the cake.
I wonder how many people would be so brave to post in this blog if you were required to leave your full name? Wimps you all are & let me be clear, there is NOT ONE NJX parent who has ever posted in here nor even know about these Blogs. I know that for a fact. So many, or possibly just a few, come in here & act to be someone other than yourself. I hope your daughter approach the game of soccer differently than you approach these Blogs thats for sure.
Ok OK OK the Gakster is finally back from Baltimore Mania, yes I have 3 kids that play at a high level and we won so I had to stay to get the cheesy medal that thay gave out. But anyway back to the Gak, like I have been saying for a long time the Gak have alot of talent and they proved it yesterday with only 1 sub an missing 4 of there starters. 2-1 loss and a 1-0 loss is not to shabby to the so called Premier teams. GACR!!!! LMAO!!! Haters beware Gak is representing!!!! Stop drinking the HATERAID SUCKERS!!!
there's a reason people bash NJX so much --- we are on top looking down. there's isn't a parent in this blog who wouldn't have their daughter on our team in a ny minute & folks THAT IS A FACT. your daughters will develop faster here then anywhere else. that might not equate to wins all the time but there is no drama at njx, no problems with coach being a father coming to games late/leaving tournaments early, no issues with guest players, no changing of coaches, etc. trust me there will be 100+ girls at njx spring tryouts, it's like that every yr for a reason. most academies will be lucky to have 25 girls tryout.
There are three state cup tournaments in Eastern PA: Challenge Cup, President's Cup, and EPA State Cup. Teams that participate in one EPA tournament cannot participate in either of the other two.
Challenge Cup is offered for U9-U17 and is World Cup format. It is the only competition available for U9-U11, so it becomes the de facto State Championship for those ages. The brackets are drawn randomly. The winner of the Challenge Cup at any age does not go on to regional or national competition.
EPA State Cup is offered for U12 and up and probably has the highest level of competition. It is single elimination and the brackets are seeded. The EPA State Cup champion advances to US Youth Soccer Region I Championships.
The existance of those two tournaments is easy to understand. Challenge Cup is available for the younger ages and also for the older teams who are maybe just not as competitive as the EPA State Cup participants. Something for everyone.
So the existance of the President's Cup confuses me. It is the same as the Challenge Cup (random seeding; World Cup format), except that it is only for U12 and up and the winners advance to the President’s Cup Regional Championships. Essentially it is Challenge Cup with a Regional element.
It begs the question, why not just allow Challenge Cup U12 and up teams go to a regional event? Having so many tournaments with so many different levels of play (A and B in Challenge Cup, for instance) simply creates the situation wherein you have three of four different state champs at each age.
My kid is 11, and does not yet play for an ECNL team. But it may be an option for her in the future so I'd be curious to see a discussion of whether ECNL is worth the expense and travel headaches. Or whether a more local league would be just as good.
But I think posting some actual results might make your argument just a bit more compelling. Otherwise it just comes across like stirring the pot.
I think the PA Challenge is set up to stop w]at a state Champ - this is for the teams that don't want regional/national play - at u11 it's the only game in town and they use World Cup format.
The President's Cup is for 2nd tier teams that want regional/national play.
Where the State Cup is for the Premier teams
That's the way I understand the tournaments.
PS. ECNL clubs also have R1 teams so why compare the 2, If it wasn't an ECNL event - they probably used them as warmups - maybe?
DO you think NJ,PA,NY,MA,VA,MD,DE,CT clubs can hang with Texas and California clubs?
We'll see how our EDP and NYCSL u13 and above teams do in Colorado later this summer against CA and the Pacific Northwest, good stuff.
PDA Ajax is not PDA's 'C' team...they play at a totally different complex. It's south jersey. Who's grabbing some popcorn and watching PDA Storm vs. PDA Ajax on April 7th at 11:30 in Bordentown??? Haha...will be a great battle to watch!!
Only the A team will become ECNL and your better players will want to play for the ECNL team, NO?
So, what does that make Ajax? I know you will still play in either R1 Colonial or Premier at u14 but you cannot be the ECNL team unless of course you are the A team.
So what is Ajax a B team or C team in the making?
Am I wrong?
PS. Nothing wrong with being the B or C team on one of the top girl clubs in the Nation (number 1 now, but will they be in 3 years).
Don't take this post the wrong way, just asking the qustions

As for ecnl, you guys have no clue. Go to San Diego next week and see for yourself, or go watch the PDA college showcase in spring and see the ecnl teams and college coaches who attend. Then go watch the other brackets and see the difference play and coaches on sideline. MF, PDA and WC will be best option and chances are none of you will agree because you have no clue. Say what you want, but someday you will understand.
Sure, those kid assistants of the assistant coach are watching, while playing on the iphone. Just what I want to do when traveling to San Diego. Are just the top ecnl teams there or the really really bad ones there too. Most ecnl teams are average or slightly abouve avg. That's all. A lot of money for average. The elite in ecnl stands for ? average.
Even the the two celebrated teams in NJ LOST last week. pda u-14ecnl and u-15 ecnl lost with also a tie.
The thing is most kids want to go to college in the same region, or a closer one to home. What's the point of going to a showcase tournament in San Diego if you have no intention of going to school in the West. Newer leagues are popping up every day that will be an alternative to ECNL....think Region 1 and NPL.
EDP and ASL are also followed by local colleges in mid-Atlantic.
The VCCL in Va is the best league in Virginia, with some Maryland clubs participating like Bethesda and Free State and FC Frederick.Even DC Stoddert(Obama's kids) play VCCL.
Super Y Ultimate SL ODP
Still are great additions to get excellent exposure. ODP ID camp and ID2 probably has more coaches then any other.
Being assigned and stationed at Aberdeen, MD North of Baltimore.
Any thoughts at girls u-11. Very good player and will get big and fast like her mom. Kinda in the middle of nowhere soccer usa, between Philly and Balt. Ideas ?
Coming from a top program in NJ where she was top 3-4 on team.
to the 1:48 poster, a club/team goes to a showcase tournament in San Diego because coaches from all over the united states go to these showcases to view and pick their future players. so its another venue to attend so that a player can get the exposure they need. the west coast teams are very very good, so when an east coast team gets to play them in these tournaments coaches can see how players stack up against the west coast teams. its also a timing thing for players, so if a player is trying to commit to a school, the player doesn't want to miss out on an offer just because they weren't at the next upcoming showcase tournament. Its better to be at as many showcase tournaments as a player can be so that the coaches get to see them play 6-8 times.
Need to be proactive. Go directly to the school(s) you want. Just going to Showcases is passive. Most colleges have committments to attend these showcases so they use their school name in promoting the showcase. Most schools send kid assistants to observe, maybe say hello to an active recruit, but more likely on iphone and playing games/videos.
Do not be fooled by so called college showcases. Fact is colleges really do not care about players at u-15 or even u-16 yet, but they will be nice not turn away or turn off a prospect. Go directly to the college of your choice(s). Player ID Camp at school, summer camp for a 4-5 days etc.. College coaches want to hear directly from the player.
NCAA rules forbid coach contact until after Sophomore season for D1 and D2 schools. When actually on campus a coach can have all the contact they want. Coaches can not call, text, email or answer emails until after Sophomore soccer season. These are the rules and regs and if you and or coach brake these, sanctions are applied. please look them up.
Now, D3 and NAIA schools really do not have any rules. But they have no scholarships either, So enjoy the attention from D3. They can put together a package that includes FA along with academic money. Good luck, My oldest plays for Penn State and is a junior starter. Going through everything all over again with my middle girl.Although we are only looking at D1 schools and she is more talented then my oldest at PSU. IT IS VERY STRESSFUL
Girls might be only u11 - but I think it's okay to have this talk - See below comments. Yes recruiting happens at u15 and I'm sure they are looking even younger.
"SOCCER AMERICA: It’s become common practice for college coaches to offer scholarships to 10th and even 9th graders – and for players that young to commit to a college …"
"STEVE SWANSON: I think it’s one of the biggest potential problems that college athletics has as a whole. It’s happening with our sport in particular. We’re getting earlier and earlier."
Recruiting rules of NCAA. Need to have a National Clearing House approval number before any recruiting can even start. Everything you here otherwise is either a parent with a fantasy or a violation of NCAA rules which would come with consequences.
D1 D2 Colleges can not have contact with student until after Sophomore year unless student is on campus at student's family expense. Coaches can RECEIVE phone calls and emails etc.. but can not call, email text, or visit STUDENT ATHLETE until after Sophomore year.
So, go ahead and SHOW everyone your standard form letter that goes to every student that fills out an athletic questionnaire.
By the way, most D1 D2 schools athletic questionnaires want and ask directly for ODP experience. When negotiating with Board of Regents coaches have found that they can offer ODP players more of a package deal. Just the facts.
Sorry NJ ODP does not seem to be as respected as other and the whole ODP PROGRAM. For the girl's side only.
Enough with the recruiting. These girls are 11! They could tell you tomorrow that they're done with soccer. Let's stay in the present! The match fit tourney schedule is out. Comments on match ups? Are there any u11 teams besides MFC, njx, and oakwood playing?
I have BIG dreams for my little girl. She is going to get a FULL ride scholarship to any school she wants. I will pay pda any amount to achieve this dream because they promised she can get a scholarship by playing and me paying pda.

To the PA Posters does anyone know why West Chester United and Spirit went through a divorce in regards to their Penn Fusion alliance and the Merger between Spirit and FC DELCO to create Continental FC.
Was it just clubs wanting to go in a different direction?
to 9:32 am poster. your situation may have been different from now to when your older daughter was being recruited. currently and from my experience with my u16 year old, she is being pursued and have been on several unofficial recruit visits and 2 of her team mates have already been given verbal offers to major D1 schools - all sophomores. she has to initiate the phone call tho. college coaches pick up bc it is all done through coaches and club coaches set ups. do college coaches like it, no - all of them say they wish it would change. but they have to keep up with every other college which is grabbing the girls early. hopefully, this will change. bc I do believe it is too early, as well. no standard form letter here - just a sign off on an NCAA form after her visit that no money was spent on her. this is not fantasy - total reality for us!
Enjoy U11, as I do! Because as you well know, time goes by fast!
16 and a full ride to D1? Princeton/Harvard or Del tech?
I love these made up stories. Maybe that Rutgers secondary campus in Newark. Just more UFO's. A verbal commitment would be on the school website. Please show me. Maybe a press release? At 16 and good enough to have a full scholarship at Somewhere usa D1 school.
Wait wait I heard of her,she is in South America traveling with the u-20 National Women's Team. Yeah, now I know who she is.
NOT ! Daddy what's in your wallet But I will allow you the opportunity to show me. Within a week of verbal she should have a letter of intent. Not the actual official signing of scholarship to play which is in Feb/March of Senior year, but just the little little letter of intent provided by the school. You know that big big powerful D1 school that is going to invest at minimum of $120,000 for four years of playing college soccer for her. D1 Stands for Div. 1 Not Dummy 1
Unofficial visits are totally 100% paid by student's family Travel/hotel/etc... Schools can provide at max 2 tix to an event and can room up prospect with a player in dorm/apt etc. It is all there on website of NCAA. PLEASE READ ONCE THEN READ IT AGAIN
you are an angry parent who spews whatever to make it look like you know so much. We want to hear some positive stuff on here not your cynical BS. stop treating us parents on this blog like we are idiots just because you claim you have been through it. Try being positive. and quit your blog trolling.
Not even a real website. Fake.Did you make it up. I guess you are laughing when people try to go to this fake site. Good one. And 16 year old's making verbals? another good one.
My 12 year old son says he wants to go to UMASS. Does that count? He has a hoodie and everything.
I just read the site and it's as real as can be. Many confirmed from what I have already heard. Does it really matter? Yes and no, would be nice, but if I have to pay, i will and don't care. My daughter plays for MF and I know for a fact that many older girls have already committed and many others are just waiting to make the best choice, they are all sophomores, playing u16. You are a liar and have no clue what you are talking about. PDA is our rival and many of those girls have committed as well and many more are just taking their time too.
Your daughter is a jr at penn state? She is awesome and one of the best players in the country. Why are you stressed? She was recruited as a freshman and got a full ride. Didn't now she had a younger sister that was better than her, she must be the best in the country, why so stressed. Or is this more of your bs lies and trying to live a life of others? Let it go, get a jog and move on with your life. Youth soccer is haunting you, it is very sad.
He may have a point about super y, if that is true, maybe PDA is going down. I may have to start looking for a new club. I hear super y is the up and coming league.
Match fit is best in state for you now because you just merged with them and they are in ecnl now. That will change soon when your daughter doesn't make their ecnl team. Give it a year and you will say the same things you say about PDA. Good luck match fit, he is all yours.
"Not even a real website. Fake.Did you make it up. I guess you are laughing when people try to go to this fake site. Good one. And 16 year old's making verbals? another good one.

Are you an idiot or what? Many, many 5 or 6 at least of the top girls at PDA U16 Top teams have already committed.
Just a small bit of relief during a down time for U11........
Next week talk will heat up ahead of the two tournaments.....
One topic we could discuss -
Is playing UP in tournaments a good way to go? I ask this as I see a few U11s get seasoning vs U12s........ either for reasons of convenience (dates are better), to see different teams, bigger teams..........etc.
Shouldn't tournaments be careful to take only the better "play up" teams, so not to make the division unbalanced? (see Calvert U11 playing with Atlantic U11 and one other weaker team in Baltimore U12 second flight)
What do you think? Will we see more of what PDA and Rage did at Jefferson (played U12) - or were they asked to do this to better sort the divisions - and decided to give it a go? Trend or just occasional occurence?
What's wrong with talking about all things soccer that will affect our kids when they grow up?
Sure for some college won't be an option, but what's wrong with talking about the process?
Doesn't mean we are trying to push our kids any harder. It's just more information to process and talk about instead of the same stuff over and over.
or We can bash PDA, MatchFit, NJX, Rage, Crush, GAK, MOSA, the ECNL and anybody else because that's so MUCH better to talk about.
9:28 I think it's probably a little bit of everything.
PDA and RAGE may have been asked and it was an opportunity for their teams to play bigger maybe faster or more skilled kids or just different teams instead of the usual NJ suspects.
I think if a team wants to stay local - they play up if they smoke their local u11 age bracket.
I also think sometimes tournaments combine brackets so they don't turn away teams (money).
I don't see playing up hurting the team even if they drop more games than they win. yes we all want to see great results - but at the end of the day it's just another game for our kids.
11:28- Middletown tournament didnt mean much, sorta like winter indoor & you know it. plus we didnt have few starters & only 1 off the bench. I love fact we don't get respect & motivates our girls even more not just games but a rallying cry in training.
Do many teams actually have starting lineups at this age? Our team starts different players each game it seems. Granted, some of the better players get more minutes than the rest, but there are no "starters".
We play 8v8 in PA, and I think I've seen our best 8 players (out of a roster of 12) on the field at the same time maybe twice in four years.
2:30 - your comments right on. I should have said "best or better" players instead were missing. Some folk in here love bashing some teams, my daughter's being one of them at GAK (including a stupid top 10 list which I took more as being humorous). was just making a point that's all. we didn't win a game in a meaningless tournament without our top players nor some subs.
meaningless tournament? then why did you bother? ALL the teams were missing players, so , really, that excuse just dosent cut it. I'm guessing your going to have similar excuses for every game you lose
I have to agree with 3:29. Why would you spend the time or money for a "meaningless" tournament? The teams you were matched against were teams from your MOSA division. Can't make excuses. Just say it wasn't your day and move on. Hopefully you beat them in the league, but don't come back on here during league play with a different reason for losing (refs, field conditions, moon cycles,..blah, blah, blah.)
Just when it appears to get civil, 1:36 had to be wise guy about GAK. Why? We are just getting over the guy bashing pda about forfeiting a game for carding issues, having Daddy coaches, and a pda coach whom lied and left his team in middle of tournament.
I'll start it off & be first one to reveal my true identity. I am Clark Kent. & agree this BLOG main's purpose is to be informative, not to be critical of teams/academies even if its to be funny or humorous. THe best Blogs left are those that EDUCATE us.
Please fix youth soccer here in NJ. Way too much money to play. Keep Daddy soccer coaches at the rec level, will need all your super powers for that one, and put a spell on parents to be only positive. Make sure ALL coaches and trainers go through back ground checks, and expose the ones with questions in their back ground. These are our little Angels and need to know WHO these coaches are and are not. Trainers are the worst with lots of holes in the resume. We need to know if in fact they lied on resumes and reward the ones that are proven.
Jersey Shore Boca Jr. FC United whooped up on the Americans 7-1. Have they added more than one girl since the fall? I heard one very good player has joined them.
The JS Boca United team is made up just for tournaments and State Cup play, there are 6 Boca girls, 4 Gak girls and 5 girls from TR. A very nice team they should keep the team together.
BOCA does JAGS top division this season, NJ CUP, STATE CUP, in-season tournaments and summer tournaments. They are a sort of local all-star team for girls who want to play year round but still play with town clubs. They always add or lose a couple players here and there.
I think they have a very very good draw in the NJ Cup - after smashing American 7-1, they play Stronghold SC Fury(a team that has done well in 8 v 8 but just ok in 11 v 11) and the a possibility of teams like FC Copa Lima(famous here for futility) and FC of NJ(a team that has done very poorly and lost to Stronghold and Copa).
Once you get to U11 you can be dual carded. Teams like GAK play in MOSA but their players can be carded for BOCA to play JAGS, State Cup and tournaments.
Other teams do this. In North Jersey there are also plenty of girls playing for their town teams in Northern Counties, Morris County and Mid NJ and then play on other clubs like FC Maximus, STA and others in JAGS and state cup leagues.
It would help for someone considering going to try-outs...
1st, I don't think anyone likes the idea of their daughter being on a B team but PDA could be an exception as an upgrade from their current club. 2nd a B-team prospect would be that much worse with a daddy coach and his daughter on the team.
Thanks, looking ahead to the FC Delco player's Cup tons of good 8v8 teams but that 11v11 flight is going to be a good one.
Rage and PDA Storm/Dragons are going to miss out out on a quality tournament with quality teams - many of this board's heavyweights all in one tournament (no particular order just a copy and paste from tournament page.
NJ Crush FC Tsunami South Shore Select u11 Elite (MA) East Brunswick SC Lightning Hicksville American Soccer HotShotz Holmdel FC NJX Celtic Match Fit Chelsea Lady Falcons Match Fit Chelsea Lady Jaguars Morris United/STA Heat Red Pipeline SC (MD) PDA Ajax Toms River FC COPA '01 World Class FC '01Hamm-White (NY)
Are you saying Toms River played for Boca? If this is the case, they would need to either forfiet win vs for BOCA or Toms River since players can only play for one team.
Dude - YOU CAN PLAY FOR 2 TEAMS!!!!!! In the very rare case you face a team that you share players with, you would play for the "primary" carded team and not the "secondary carded team. How long have you been in soccer?
The BOCA game against the American Rebels was actually 8-1. The team consists of 1 player from Brick, 5 players from the Howell United Outlaws and the rest from the coaches Stafford team. The girls are club carded as the Howell & Brick teams are carded thru NJYSA. And for only having two small practices, they are a very skilled team.
First there was this all world indoor winter soccer team Cosmos aka Wildcats that beat the snot out of everyone (including GAK I believe) & now we have an all solar system BOCA team. What's next?
& where is the "Quack Quack for GAK" dude & Gakster on all this? Or are they one in the same? hmmmm...
Remember tryouts are coming up, the number of girls at your respective team's tryout good indication of interest there. My daughters team has 100 girls trying out every Spring for a reason. Just sayin.
The BOCA team played in a JAGS summer season in the past wih nearly the same make up of players. They did very well, going undefeated. And, I believe the Brick player is actually from the BOCA Crew team. FWIW, I didn't see anyone making outrageous claims about the level of play from the team. I merely wanted to corrret the error regarding team roster.
Is anyone familiar with their next opponent, Stronghold FC?
It may be hard to say on the Stronghold team. they are affiliated with Maestro training I believe. My daughters team played them in a tournament and they were decent, but I don't know if that is the same makeup of players that you will see - which is the same point here as the BOCA and Wildcats/Cosmos teams. You don't know who is rostered/playing in different events. I don't beleive their JAGS/Mid Jersey league team was very strong last year.
Years ago a big reason to play with a larger club was the "club player pass" which would allow a player to play on various teams in league and tournament play within the club's team base. Designed to let B and c players develop and occasionally play with the A players and/or A team. Sometimes a player that was the 14/15 or 16 th player on A team would play on B team to get playing time. Concept was great until, the larger clubs abused the system and would have 1/2 the A team play on B and even c teams to get points to attract better players. Now it seems with so many good leagues /teams /clubs a player can be carded by not only two teams but possibly three and have two different player cards. Doesn't really matter anymore in tournament play with up to 5 guest players allowed at most tourneys, but in different leagues it is misleading. At older ages, clubs with two teams and an ecnl team, allow ecnl players to play state cup even when the ecnl team is not entered. Mixing/match the non ecnl team with ecnl players. So now a days, playing youth soccer is like a box of chocolates, you never who you're gonna play. Would be terrible to be the player that does not play on her team.
3:26 You are spot on with a bunch of things but I think I disagree.
While I agree it would be terrible not to play - we are talking Premier soccer or at least I am.
The girls have to earn their time to be in favor with the coach.
Just because they don't play doesn't mean they can't play.
For what ever the reason (valid or not) the coach is expecting something more from this player and until the player shows.
Playing time MUST be earned at this level.
I tell my kid - practice hard and play hard every time if you want to keep what is yours, that's the only thing you control - the rest is up to the coach and the style of play he/she wants, you will either be part of it or you won't.
I don't have a problem with teams trying to win by playing direct, long ball (kick and run or what ever it is called), possession in the end it's all the same. The kids need to know how to play against all these styles and to adjust their game accordingly.
PS. If the player on a Premier team isn't getting the playing time - it's okay to secondary the player with another team so they can play more and use what they have learned to get better in game situations, in my opinion - why not?

Will this team be scheudling a tryout this spring? Can you provide a link? I am assuimng this team is different from the Boca Crew team, correct?
Looks like Toms River has easiest path to the Finals in State Cup. Boca select team looks strong to play Toms River in Final Will be close game even with select players on Boca.

What is TR And BOCA going to do if they play each other since the word is BOCA used TR players to play Americans? Is this true? Hear some of the girls on BOCA were members of TR team and were wearing TR gear....
"Players may only play for one team participating in the New Jersey Cup. Players may not play for different teams in different age groups, or different clubs, even if their team gets eliminated."
Enforcement may not always be successful, of course, but that's a different story.
The misinformation of the board is horrendous. There are no TR players on the BOCA team playing NJ Cup. It was already posted what teams the girls are from. Look at the 4/1/13 a 6:31am post. And for the record, all thirteen girls were in a BOCA uniform, nobody had "TR gear"...
Embarrassed to be on a top team? A team that is trained well and uses 0 guest players for tournaments and will have 100 kids a tryouts? Embarrassed, really? Heard of jealous? Another Pda parent heard from. See you at the njx tryouts
So funny to hear the NJX critics but at same time they will be first in line at tryouts. Every parent in Central Jersey would not hesitate for one minute to have their daughter play with/on the best & that's a fact proven by the 100+ kids that will show up at our tryouts.
We keep getting kids coming here for a reason folks & the team just gets stronger & stronger. So keep on bashing all you want, the view from the top is better than yours, just sayin.
I am not a PDA parent, but can see why NJX has a bad reputation on this blog. Can you be any more cocky?
In 2 years your team will be the Match Fit B team, what are you going to do then? Brag on this site about 100 girls at tryouts? And those PDA parents will not be at NJX tryouts, I believe they will be going up to the Match Fit tryouts.
NJX won't play the Falcons or Oakwood. The Falcons are playing at the Top Level of the U12 11v11 while Oakwood is playing U12 8v8. NJX is playing in the 2nd tier U12 11v11 bracket.
From the looks of it MF playing better U12 teams, tough road. Plus I do recall on this blog they played already in a scrimmage. I would say for both teams play some new blood!
That's why this week's YST tournament of the week is the PDA Tournament for both 8v8 and 11v11. However, I will show love and post score updates from the Matchfit and PA State Cup as well if I have the time.
the only kids you keep getting over there are Toms River kids. who and what player has ever been developed through NJX. leave now to the real acadamies before your the B team. forget the dad coach you have a mom coach!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just saying
I don't like the NJX Club, but would have to say, besides the Toms River girls most of there players have played on that team for years. The one thing i can't say is they don't develop there players.I don't care if 500 girls come to tryouts i don't see them dropping any of there loyal girls like PDA will do in a heart beat.
Bracket A 1: PDA STORM (NJ) 18 2: PDA AJAX (NJ) 12 3: FSA FC U11 NAVY (CT) 10 4: TSF ACADEMY (NJ) 0
Bracket B 1: SCORPIONS GU11 (MA) 18 2: NJ CRUSH FC TSUNAMI (NJ) 11 3: PDA DRAGONS (NJ) 4 4: FC MILAN NERI (VA) 4

1: NEFC CENTRAL UNITED U11 GIRLS (MA) 18 2: WORLD CLASS FC '01 STRIKERS (NYE) 10 3: DEEP RUN WILDCATS (PAE) 10 4: EVERTON AMERICA CT U11 GIRLS BLUE (CT) 1
1: CFC GUNNERS (CT) 19 2: FC STARS OF MASS WEST (MA) 12 3: EAST MEADOW SKY BLUE (NYE) 4 4: ALLEYCAT RED U11 (NYE) 4
TSF Academy is a joke and slapping the name "Adademy" makes a not funny one.
PDA Ajax. 3-0 over TSF PDA Storm 7--0 over TSF
I honestly would compare them to Mid NJ 1st or 2nd flight town team, nothing more. Zero girls on the entire roster could make 18th spot on Storm. PDA passed the ball around late and played keep away for 15 minutes straight!
Tough weekend for pda. Most teams did not even get out of their brackets. Real news is that NJ teams did poorly in all age groups and World Class did well.
What PDA are you talking about? U14 the toughest division was won by PDA. U13 girls did well in both a and b brackets, u12 PDA was in final with A team in top bracket and B team played great, even tying crush A team. Not sure if you noticed but storm went to final in top bracket and had close match with an awesome team. Dragons only lost to the crush team 1 0 , that was favored by them to win it all. The u10 girls blew past everyone and won. How is nix treating you so far? And thanks for helping us fund our third new turf feild that is going in next week.

«Oldest ‹Older 401 – 600 of 1675 Newer› Newest»Doesnt look like Middletown tourney scores are posted yet.
To the 3/23 4:15 poster:
Congrats on your daughter being so talented and superior at the age of 10 that the mere mention of the middletown tourney made you reply, "are you serious? they probably used 6ft pugg goals".
Hey NJX, welcome back. Missed you guys.
3:07- hahahahaa
'let me be clear, there is NOT ONE NJX parent who has ever posted in here nor even know about these Blogs. I know that for a fact."
To know for a fact, you must have asked ALL of the NJX parents? Thus by asking, you are therefore informing EVERY NJX parent their is a blog.
I love when NJX is blogging again.
Get ready for the "Thats not really an NJX parent, its somebody stirring the pot"
Such wisdom from dolts!
Come on gakster give us some humor ans scores. You're the star of the blog.
Yakking yak, don't come gak.
GAK accept the fact that your team is a Nat 3 team. ALL the teams were missing players, not just yours. You lost BIG
what are today's results from some nj cup games?
NJX parents are always on here posting I know this for a fact!
there's a reason people bash NJX so much --- we are on top looking down. there's isn't a parent in this blog who wouldn't have their daughter on our team in a ny minute & folks THAT IS A FACT. your daughters will develop faster here then anywhere else. that might not equate to wins all the time but there is no drama at njx, no problems with coach being a father coming to games late/leaving tournaments early, no issues with guest players, no changing of coaches, etc. trust me there will be 100+ girls at njx spring tryouts, it's like that every yr for a reason. most academies will be lucky to have 25 girls tryout.
just saying...
No high level teams in Baltimore.
We did not miss a thing.
There will be another ecnl team in PA , NY and MD in 2014.Maybe two more in VA. Just another league.
9:56 -
When you say 2014 are you thinking 2014/2015 or do you think they will add to 2013/2014?
Nah - this is incorrect
Did Toms River and Manalapan get through in their state games yesterday?
thx
Toms River won, don't know about Manalapan.
What was score of Toms River game?

David Letterman top 10 reasons why GAK didn't win a game this weekend:
- our 4th best player had a 99.8 fever
- our 3rd best player who used to be our 6th best player had a bad itch entire game
- we thought this was going to be an indoor winter league 5X5 game
- the ref made a bad call when he started the game
- the field was bumpy for us but not for the teams we played, weird
- our 14th & 15th best players didn't come reasons unknown
- our 13th best player got stuck in traffic on NJ Turnpike & went back home
- our 12th best player came but got high fever from our 4th best player
- our 7th best player who used to be our 14th best player brought her wrong spikes she thought game was on indoor turf
- the other teams we played kept scoring more goals then us, sometimes that is just not fair
WC vs FCREV did not happen. FCREV claimed there was an issue with their fields and cancelled the game on Friday night.
3:18
"- the ref made a bad call when he started the game" CLASSIC - you're killing me.
3:19
Thanks, I was following this weekend.
PS. I like the PA & NY World Cup format much better than the March Madness format NJ uses.
What happened to the "elite" in ecnl?
ecnl teams took a beating in Jeff Cup
Answer, add more teams and clubs?
just another league
What ecnl teams played at Jeff cup?
"ecnl teams took a beating in Jeff Cup"
Yes, without any facts the above staement translates to "my kid tried out for, but did not make an ECNL team".
Jefferson Cup has some ecnl teams that challenge and get flighted like everyone else. Also, Jeff Cup has an ecnl flight of of only ecnl teams.
Results: ECNL teams flighted with Region 1 teams did not do so well in age older age brackets.
Jefferson Cup is a top 3 tournament in the Country in age brackets above u-13.
"did not do so well"
Oh, well that settles it.
Our u11 girls have another year or 2 to go.
Should be an interesting matchup
Ajax should get more respect, I agree.....
PDA Ajax - lets fast forward to u14
What is Ajax then?
Only the A team will become ECNL and your better players will want to play for the ECNL team, NO?
So, what does that make Ajax? I know you will still play in either R1 Colonial or Premier at u14 but you cannot be the ECNL team unless of course you are the A team.
So what is Ajax a B team or C team in the making?
Am I wrong?
PS. Nothing wrong with being the B or C team on one of the top girl clubs in the Nation (number 1 now, but will they be in 3 years).
Don't take this post the wrong way, just asking the qustions
@ 3:18 - - Your top 10 was/is great. Too many of these people take things WAY too seriously!
Looking to U14 when you are in U11 is folly
Way too much weight put on ecnl?
what are the expectations?
Agree. No magic in ecnl. Why so expensive?
Have Ajax and Storm ever played each other?

Jackson / NJSA merge WoW !
PDA 15s arent in the San Diego event
"Jackson / NJSA merge WoW !"
Money, money, moneeeeeyyyy...
Poor Jackson.
"Jackson / NJSA merge WoW !"
I remember hearing about that last year. I give it year.
Anyone want to start a pool?
Match FIT immediately becomes the ecnl club in NJ.
STA expanding and getting bigger and better.
The thing is most kids want to go to college in the same region, or a closer one to home. What's the point of going to a showcase tournament in San Diego if you have no intention of going to school in the West. Newer leagues are popping up every day that will be an alternative to ECNL....think Region 1 and NPL.
Back to U11......
I see Calvert Crew played up in Baltimore....maybe looking for some early points
Came in second........
Hicksville often does this.....
Oh well - they were close enough.
EDP and ASL are also followed by local colleges in mid-Atlantic.
The VCCL in Va is the best league in Virginia, with some Maryland clubs participating like Bethesda and Free State and FC Frederick.Even DC Stoddert(Obama's kids) play VCCL.

ODP
Still are great additions to get excellent exposure. ODP ID camp and ID2 probably has more coaches then any other.
According to the website Toms River won there game 5-0 and Manalapan's game was postponed. Not sure of the reason.
Its better to be at as many showcase tournaments as a player can be so that the coaches get to see them play 6-8 times.
wow, so wrong.
Been there done that
Poster 3:55 could not so wrong, my other child does attend these College Showcases. She is only 15 years old and she is being heavily pursued.
Coaches are starting at early ages than every before
NCAA rules forbid coach contact until after Sophomore season for D1 and D2 schools.
NCAA RULES? no one plays by the rules.Waste of paper they are written on. show me the money !
3:06
Calvert is within 1/2 hour from Aberdeen
Excellent U11 team. Coach seems a bit rough, but you get some of that in many places
Good luck
Check out Waldorf, they are the best team technically I have ever seen and they play 8v8 untill U-12
Where is the Match Fit schedule?
thanks
It is on the pda web, directs you to Match Fit.

I am tired of hearing about the Daddy coaches at PDA. Stop already, and PDA get rid of the Daddys.
Totally real,
16 and a full ride to D1? Princeton/Harvard or Del tech?
I love these made up stories. Maybe that Rutgers secondary campus in Newark. Just more UFO's. A verbal commitment would be on the school website. Please show me. Maybe a press release? At 16 and good enough to have a full scholarship at Somewhere usa D1 school.
Wait wait I heard of her,she is in South America traveling with the u-20 National Women's Team. Yeah, now I know who she is.
NOT ! Daddy what's in your wallet
But I will allow you the opportunity to show me. Within a week of verbal she should have a
letter of intent.
But But but really. They said....
you are an angry parent who spews whatever to make it look like you know so much. We want to hear some positive stuff on here not your cynical BS. stop treating us parents on this blog like we are idiots just because you claim you have been through it. Try being positive.
and quit your blog trolling.
Hey Big Daddy, this is from the internet and go ahead and poke fun at this too. Your arrogance is priceless.
https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AriynKqmGsRwdGUyR1ZrSFFUbHFZblNCMnBNZnNqc1E&output=html&gid=3
So I guess all these girls verbal D1 commits stand for "dummies 1".
Please read: Go away.
Not even a real website. Fake.Did you make it up. I guess you are laughing when people try to go to this fake site. Good one. And 16 year old's making verbals? another good one.
My 12 year old son says he wants to go to UMASS. Does that count? He has a hoodie and everything.
More entertaining then the pda bashing. But that will stop now that Match Fit has it ALL.
I like the "what's in your wallet" phrase, funny.
You tube has some verbal commits too.
More coming once the Supreme court rules on same same.
Your 12 old son doesn't have a chance, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
My daughters friend said that some of her friends have commitments.

PDA going down
Can someone please remind me who the number one club in the nation has been 2 of the last 3 years? O yea I remember now PDA!! Did you hear PDA!!
My 12 year old son says he wants to go to UMASS. Does that count? He has a hoodie and everything."
Are you an idiot or what? Many, many 5 or 6 at least of the top girls at PDA U16 Top teams have already committed.
Yeah dude. If your daughter is 15 & not being recruited by D1's yet. Well then that is a sign...
Is this website with A TON of full scholarship commitments for 15 year olds fake too?

I could have sworn this was the u11soccer blog. Guess I was wrong.
QUACK QUACK FOR GAK !!!
9 days to MOSA premier - stay tuned...
Gak if your results in the Middletown tournament is anything to go by, we don't expect to see you in the "premier" division for long
u11soccer blog for sure.
Good stuff
gak is the worst team in mosa!!!!
11:28- Middletown tournament didnt mean much, sorta like winter indoor & you know it. plus we didnt have few starters & only 1 off the bench. I love fact we don't get respect & motivates our girls even more not just games but a rallying cry in training.
1:36- silly comment, like I said Stay Tuned.
QUACK QUACK...
Starters?
MOSA premier 4/7/2013 - Stay Tuned.
QUACK QUACK
meaningless tournament? then why did you bother?
Why?
We are just getting over the guy bashing pda about forfeiting a game for carding issues, having Daddy coaches, and a pda coach whom lied and left his team in middle of tournament.
let's keep this blog informative, ok?
Still a bunch of wimps on this blog.If you are secure with your comments reveal yourselves!!
And your not a "wimp" yourself? Don't see your name either.
I'll start it off & be first one to reveal my true identity. I am Clark Kent. & agree this BLOG main's purpose is to be informative, not to be critical of teams/academies even if its to be funny or humorous. THe best Blogs left are those that EDUCATE us.
I am batman I agree with above post
Things are getting too tangled on here.
Yours in Soccer.
Spiderman
Super heros,
Please fix youth soccer here in NJ.
Minnie mouse
Bro - that's inconsistent
You want no dads coaching, which is ridiculous to begin with....
but want the cost to stay low
Volunteers with great soccer resumes arent always easy to find.
I'll take the NJ state coach of the year any day. The girls are all developing great soccer skills and love their coach. Stop all the nonsense
you're all idiots
any good games this weekend?...Seems slow because of the holidays.
Jersey Shore Boca Jr. FC United whooped up on the Americans 7-1. Have they added more than one girl since the fall? I heard one very good player has joined them.
That 7-1 Boca win was the NJ Cup game correct?
I was told JS Boca United is a mesh of at least two different teams who are playing in the NJ Cup.
I see them playing Manalapan in the semi's.
You are having a very nice conversation with yourself.
That would explain why GAK is not in the NJ Cup if players are on BOCA. Naming the team a local all-star team is a bit much.
must be the 4 players from GAK that didn't make the Middletown tournament!!!!
Only 4 girls any good. all playing for BOCA in Cup.
Interesting concept of combining teams to be more competitive for Cup play. Only problems is scheduling of league play and cup play.
No daddy coaches at pda for Fall 2013
How is that even possible to combine teams?
I thought Cup play can only be Primary Players, No Secondary or Guest players.
So is Boca a club neutral team?
Or are people just posting what they think is going on?
Club nuetral team. Team created just for cup play of players from at least four other teams.
"How is that even possible to combine teams?"
"No daddy coaches at pda for Fall 2013"
Has this been told to the players and parents?
It would help for someone considering going to try-outs...
1st, I don't think anyone likes the idea of their daughter being on a B team but PDA could be an exception as an upgrade from their current club.
2nd a B-team prospect would be that much worse with a daddy coach and his daughter on the team.
Thanks,
looking ahead to the FC Delco player's Cup tons of good 8v8 teams but that 11v11 flight is going to be a good one.
Rage and PDA Storm/Dragons are going to miss out out on a quality tournament with quality teams - many of this board's heavyweights all in one tournament (no particular order just a copy and paste from tournament page.
NJ Crush FC Tsunami
South Shore Select u11 Elite (MA)
East Brunswick SC Lightning
Hicksville American Soccer HotShotz
Holmdel FC NJX Celtic
Match Fit Chelsea Lady Falcons
Match Fit Chelsea Lady Jaguars
Morris United/STA Heat Red
Pipeline SC (MD)
PDA Ajax
Toms River FC COPA '01
World Class FC '01Hamm-White (NY)
Assuming no more teams apply they could easily have 4 divisions of 3 teams and if they do that one division might have 2 of these teams:
NJ Crush
Hicksville
NJX
MatchFit
WorldClass
Are you saying Toms River played for Boca? If this is the case, they would need to either forfiet win vs for BOCA or Toms River since players can only play for one team.
Dude - YOU CAN PLAY FOR 2 TEAMS!!!!!! In the very rare case you face a team that you share players with, you would play for the "primary" carded team and not the "secondary carded team. How long have you been in soccer?
One third of all goalies play on two teams!
DUDE ...... You can be carded with two teams for the regular season.
One with us club
One with nj youth
But.... You can only represent one team in NJ Cup. The point is moot based on previous post saying where kids come from but just wanted to clarify.
On a different note, the Americans are a poor northern counties team so stop sounding the horn until the team has beaten good competition.
"The team consists of 1 player from Brick, 5 players from the Howell United Outlaws and the rest from the coaches Stafford team."
Did the girl from Brick play on Sky Blue last summer? Very good player.
So, no GAK players on Boca? I am glad. My daughters team may play them in a tournament this year. So they may have a chance.
"It may be hard to say on the Stronghold team."
Thank you.
Mix and match teams /players ??
Free agency in soccer at U12. What an absolute disaster.

You are talking about Premier Group (2nd level) really? Toms River should have joined Super Group, and tested there team vs some really good teams.
8:28. Agree
TR and BOCA shouldn't brag about dominating in premier nj cup. They should have played in super group to assess their talent.
8:28 & 8:36
I agree the coach should have tested the team if he or she thinks they are ready.
However, I also Disagree - the girls don't control what league, tournament or cup they play in.
They control what happens on the field. A good result is a good result regardless of who you play.
GAKmania begins this Sunday. The GAKiacs are GAKiacking all over the place. MOSA premier will never be the same, stay tuned...
Disagree, 8:36 and ohers
Those teams are not up to top level play.....
12 is the right number for the Super Group.
There is no shame in being a top 3 Premier Group team and trying to run that table.
What is TR And BOCA going to do if they play each other since the word is BOCA used TR players to play Americans? Is this true?
Hear some of the girls on BOCA were members of TR team and were wearing TR gear....
Boca cannot use TR players in US club Cup
One US Club roster , cannot be on two US Club rosters
"Players may only play for one team participating in the New Jersey Cup. Players may not play for different teams in different age groups, or different clubs, even if their team gets eliminated."
Enforcement may not always be successful, of course, but that's a different story.
The misinformation of the board is horrendous. There are no TR players on the BOCA team playing NJ Cup. It was already posted what teams the girls are from. Look at the 4/1/13 a 6:31am post. And for the record, all thirteen girls were in a BOCA uniform, nobody had "TR gear"...
ALERT, Toms River Girls playing for NJX!!! Girl had on TR, shirt.
9:02- Probably because she is embarrassed to be on NJX.
Wow, 8:51 post.
Good tournaments this weekend (PDA & MATCHFIT) Good luck to all teams playing this weekend.
Any matchfit b team will crush any pda b team. So can it be that bad if your on the b team and still a top team. Thats what pda cant do, develope
Good test for NJX in the Matchfit tourney..- first vs Oakwood, then possibly a final vs MF Falcons.....
PDA Storm tested vs TSF, their AJAX sisters and then in finals vs whoever comes through the other side.....
If Storm and MF Falcons win theior tourneys, sets up a nice possible State Cup meeting........
Oh wait - Storm skipped that....
NJX won't play the Falcons or Oakwood. The Falcons are playing at the Top Level of the U12 11v11 while Oakwood is playing U12 8v8. NJX is playing in the 2nd tier U12 11v11 bracket.
Wow - teams spread out , so worse than I thought
No U11, I see
Oakwood should romp
It a U12 tournament from looking at application. U11 teams joined. There are some very good teams at Match Fit as with PDA.
Only difference I see is PDA put themselves in position to make finals, MF teams are being challenged.
By not having to play Njx?
From the looks of it MF playing better U12 teams, tough road. Plus I do recall on this blog they played already in a scrimmage. I would say for both teams play some new blood!
That's why this week's YST tournament of the week is the PDA Tournament for both 8v8 and 11v11. However, I will show love and post score updates from the Matchfit and PA State Cup as well if I have the time.
Thanks, bro.
I guess MF didnt have enough fields for a U11.......
The teams they play arent necessarily better...but older and likely bigger. Likely a better way to get into their U11 play
the only kids you keep getting over there are Toms River kids. who and what player has ever been developed through NJX. leave now to the real acadamies before your the B team. forget the dad coach you have a mom coach!!!!!

What happened to PDA Dragons?
Scorpions-Storm shapes up as a great final
East Brunswick and SDFC tie 1-1 today. Good game!
TSF Academy is a joke and slapping the name "Adademy" makes a not funny one.
PDA Ajax. 3-0 over TSF
PDA Storm 7--0 over TSF
I honestly would compare them to Mid NJ 1st or 2nd flight town team, nothing more. Zero girls on the entire roster could make 18th spot on Storm. PDA passed the ball around late and played keep away for 15 minutes straight!
"What happened to PDA Dragons?"
Same as last tournament:
2 games 0 goals
Are the pda Dragons the C team ?
Is this the same team that went down to Jefferson Cup and got blasted down there?
Storm or Ajax?
Who wins today North or South?
pda Dragons lose all three games
Tough weekend for Match fit. As "lady" teams won one game out of 6. Lucky they have NJX who made it to the finals of their bracket.
correction match fit "lady" teams lost 6 out of 6 games.
Dragons only lost to Crush team 1-0.
Dragons need lots of help. No skill or coaching to even help a talented player improve. Have to ask why?
