This page is focused on Under 13 girls youth soccer in Region 1, primarily NY, NJ, PA. Everyone says this is the 'nice" age group both internally and externally. Stay tuned.
Maybe TR Everton should get in these conversations more. Strong defense, excellent goalie, and an offensive player away from beating any of these teams. Out played every team this weekend and a couple of bad bounces away from winning every match.Dont look away or they will beat you too.
What you fail to understand regarding the ECNL, is that they are trying to build a league that resembles the boys US DA, at the very least to promote less, but more meaningful games, with a higher training to game ratio, with continued DEVELOPMENT. Is it perfect? No. Are there teams playing in Region 1 premier or EDP that may be better then certain teams within an ECNL club? Of course, but the system that they are building is also promoted by US national coaches.
A survey of high school girls has shown that they are playing over 100 games per year. If so, and they are always preparing for the next match, presumably to win, then how much time is spent on further development?
The US womens national team, along with the youth national teams, spend the first 45 minutes plus at training, working on development.
They see many more kids come into national camp with already serious past injuries, and at younger ages.
The body needs time to heal and to recover, if kids are playing that many games, it is impossible for the body to recover, leading to more serious injuries.
ECNL is not perfect. But, the clubs are not worried with GS points. Coaches understand that their team may not be as strong, but more than likely, will meet a strong and competant opponent. ECNL has rules regarding the number of tournaments per year and also, as to how many games that can played in a day. If their philosophy is not for you, great, but where does the animosity come in?
Is it becuase some ECNL parents boast or brag? Certain that some do, but I am sure that there are A holes in every league, on every team, especially the GS point braggers.
Decide what is best for your kid and leave the animosity out. Who knows if ECNL will be successful. Anyone bragging should shut up, and anyone criticizing should also. Live and let live and stop telling others that they are right or wrong, regardless of which side you are on.
My daughter's team played TR Everton on Saturday and it was a hard faught battle by both teams. Agree they have talent, but the "strong defense" seemed to consist of one player their sweeper who is highly talented and clearly their strongest player by far. The coach was yelling and screaming and waving his arms at the players all game long and a few of the parents were yelling and arguing with the refs and other parents. Not sure who was more obnoxious or embarrasing. Given the this post, presume you are either the coach or one of those parents arguing who is also a parent of a defender or the goalie. Good luck against PDA Gunners in US Club Cup.
when a ref doesnt know the game time, which line constitutes the box and where a penalty kick is placed, someone needs to yell. Seems to me there was a lot of yelling from the Holmdel parents too. And fyi, our best defender was not even there on Saturday. We will see you again soon Barcelona or whatever your name is this week....
Thank you for proving my point for me as I need not say anything more. Hopefully, your daughter has more class than you, and typically that is the case for parents who try and live their lives through their children's accomplishments. The ref was horrible and should be reported so he doesn't make similiar mistakes going forward, agreed, but given the size of the tournament and number of games unfortunately there are only so many refs available and the good refs officate the higher flight games on Randalls Island and/or finals games, not typically a bracket game in the 3rd flight. Congratulations to the TR players, other than the one middle fielder who my daughter said kept cursing during the game and elbowing players after the play was over, those girls seemed to be a class act and played a good game - kudos to them and wish them well as they try to continue to develop as soccer players and young women (despite the apparent crazy influences around them).
I actually thought both sides played well and the anger from both teams was directed at the referee....and deservedly. Although I was happy the PK wasn't given a third chance, it was a bad call. The better team won that day. Good luck the rest of the season TR. We will meet up again. Always a good game. Your girls are a class act.
Who is is this TOMES RIVER parent thinking this team is all that.when you step up to the platinum division you may speak. Just let the girls have fun and dont worry about the refs.At the end of the day its about her not you wanting to play in the girls game. OH by the way maps and gold division HA HA HA CONVERSATION OVER FOR TOMS RIVER
Oh yes those Stallions jumped plenty this weekend! But really their bed is made for the spring. They will wait it out till tryouts and regroup over the summer. I would expect a revitalized team next fall, the wanabes will be replaced with fresh talent and things will be back to glory days. Right now this team is working with just 9 or 10 NPL/EDP level players. Coach is not the problem right now, it's the lack of talent. Give him some time, he'll make it work, he's done it several times before.

So you talk smack and its ok.I talk smack back and I have no class and am a bad influence on our daughters. Typical. Your girls are excellent by the way and I look forward to seeing them play each other over the next few months. The save by your goalie was sports centerish to say the least. But since I am classless I will have to end with,Did you catch the latest Got soccer rankings? I did...;)
Whats the matter? Dont like it when a little town club pokes its nose into your over priced academy neighborhood. The tr club can play with any team in any flight. Can we beat WC or the Gunners or Nrock? Maybe not. But then again ,maybe. What flight did your team win this weekend? Thats what I thought.
Watch out for the TR Everton. Thy have some new girls mixed in with the team and are just starting to play well together. I think they can compete with any of these teams.
I think the Joker who was commenting on The Toms River team not being in the conversation doesnt realize there are 2 U13 TR teams. The Everton and also the Milan. The milan are in Maps. Get yourself straight before posting...
Whoever said we were mature adults? There are several truths in youth soccer. My daughter is the best player on the field even if the coach hasn't recognized it yet. If our team loses, the other team was dirty, the ref was awful, or my daughter's teammates didn't come to play. I have this uniqueerective because I watch 70 minutes of soccer with a pinpointed focus on one player, my daughter. Having only watched soccer since my daughter started playing makes me a top notch soccer commentator. All of this expertise allows me the right to be critical of the coach, other players, and the ref. I also have the right to scream and yells signals from the sideline to my daughter. So leave me alone and let me be a soccer parent. I have to go know, my daughter is about to leave the care an I have to go give her a preface motivational speech that will create extra pressure for her and reduce her enjoyment of the game.
8:11 - I don't think 12:31 is looking at the big picture.
Of course developing the player is always the primary goal (or should be). The way coaches and clubs go about that might differ.
In my opinion - to develop the player you need to attract the best players from near by towns. Then you will have a pool of players that are like minded and you get rid of the parents that are not willing to sacrifice for the good of the player/team/club. The sacrifice is a two way street.
Once you have this pool of players they will train together and push each other two or three times a week that depends on the coach.
But that's only part of the equation, what good is it if they play in a local league and beat up on the other teams? No development by beating a team 6-0 or more.
So the team/club has to enter big tournaments/leagues to play other teams/clubs doing the same thing.
Well how do you get accepted in these events if you don't care about results?
Unfortunately, like it or not results are part of the equation when it comes to development.
So you can sit on your high horse and say development is number 1 - just curious how do you develop without results?
"Not concerned with results" is just something parents of a non-winning team say. Everyone is concerned with the result...provided the result was achieved by playing the game properly.
Any coach worth his/her salt will tell you that they would rather lose a game playing good soccer than win a game playing bad soccer. Results follow effort and training. Kick and run and poor technical soccer loses more and more as the kids get older. U-13 is still an age where speed and athleticism can win out, but winning will come less and less. Europeans have a training ratio at the youth level of 5:1 training versus games.
Jefferson cup proves to be worst ever. Horrible fields like Dorey park 1 which is an 8v8 field with 1 yard added and dorey park field 3 which is similar to the slopes of mt saint Helen's. Coupled with refs who were predictably bad. There walk from the parking lot looked painful. They had no ability to move around. From a spectator stand point it provided common ground and the pictures and jokes started before the game. The game calls were so stupid you had to just laugh. How about an indirect inside the 18 for a trip. Or a drop ball that neither team new was a drop or was ready. The ref just dropped it and walked away. When questioned what was going on he said balls live I dropped it. Perhaps a requirement for calling a game should be the ability to walk briskly 30 steps with out hobbling or dragging a foot. Bottle glasses are ok if you can still see. Athletic ability optional. If you were alive during the Lincold assination more test required. I saw one legitimate looking ref on all the fields. The rest were so bad we felt like this coupled with the fields equaled Ashton Cucher walking out and saying we just got punked. Shame on you Jeff cup for delivering a tournament at a sub par level. We could have better facilities and refs at home. Heck any team could. Oh we did win!
Agree about refs for Saturday. It got 100% better Sunday. Some of the best I have seen so may JCup was going for avg? Field 1 Dorey was horribly small. Saw multiple gk punting ball out opposite end line and goal kicks leading to break always. If you pd top dollar for an 11v11 tournament you should be playing on 11 v 11 fields not 8v8 with 1 yard added as was clearly visible by the orange 8v8 lines inside the 11v11 lines. Perhaps JCup should refund the difference between 11v11and 8v8 to any team that had to play there. Hopefully we don't play this tournament again. Way overrated
Top flights play on best fields. Get over it. If not in top 2 flights, not worth coming to JC. ecnl fields are better b/c they pay more. Part of the ecnl fee package and extras.
U-13 elite (2 flight) played on the 8v8 field. I didn't see on the application that top flight plays on beautiful fields while everyone else is screwed playing on fields that are undersized and hilly. I'm also pretty sure that when appointed to second flight it's already to late to pull out because they can't provide level correct size fields. Any broke moneyless local town team can provide a level correct size field.
Jefferson is too big now to provide good fields for everyone. If not in top flights do not go. Of course, if not in top flights why come to Jeff anyway.
The fields at Stryker Park were all mud by Sunday and that was for the top flight. Hopefully the Annandale Premier Cup will take off for the girls like the boys did and become the better of the two tournaments. Annandale is only played on turf fields. Might be the place to go early season in 2014.
I received a forwarded message today from Jeff cup. It was a survey, so your team manager can forward it to you, and you can voice your displeasure.
Do not forget though, that a player lost her life in a tragic accident on her way to play in the tournament on Thursday night. I was devastated by the news. The young ladies funeral service was today. Really makes you put things into perspective, and how silly all the biting, complaining, bragging and name calling is. It all could be gone in a second. BUT FOR THE GRACE OF GOD, or FATE, whatever you choose to call it.
I read about the accident and it really put things into perspective how things can change in an instant. I wish her family, teammates and all whose lives she touched peace.
In light of Match Fit adding an ECNL team, I noticed on the tryout page that all the tryouts were at Raritan High. Does anyone know if that means they will no longer have a team based in the North (current Rovers)? Or, will the North team remain the NPL team and the other (Revolution??) become the ECNL?
Looks to me like you can tryout for MF Revolution, MF Rovers and/or MatchFit ECNL. Haven't figured out yet whether NJX Barca is having separate tryout. Please post news if you have some to share...
That is Match Fit trying to prove to the world that they have a strong program when in all reality they have one team that is okay at best. Match Fit can merge into whatever they want, they still are years away from becoming a big dog in the game.
SDFC conducts open tryouts each year for all our teams. Tryouts will be held week commencing April 22nd, 2013. For the full tryout schedule, please click here: http://www.sdfc.us/Default.aspx?tabid=266896
Soccer Domain FC is New Jersey's fastest growing Premier Youth Soccer Club.
With over 20 teams including 3 State Champions and a Regional Premier League Champion, SDFC has become one of the strongest developmental programs not only in NJ but on the East Coast.
Players interested in trying out, can also email the SDFC Director(director@sdfc.us) or complete the Player Interest Form: http://www.sdfc.us/Default.aspx?tabid=266599
Why would Matchfit have to prove anything to anybody. They have already proved they can help develop youth players as any other club. Sounds like you are mad or upset of their current and most recent merger or past mergers. Relax okay its just Youth Soccer at best nothing more, nothing less.
PDA parent told me gunner are now ECNL FOR U14. What happens to the blue and white girls that dont make the 21 roster spots. Are they going to be a new athletica team. if so what happens to the 20 or so girls that dont make it.
Is the Gunners team playing in the NJ Cup the blue, white or some combination of both? If combination, it could give an indication of the new members of the ECNL team....that is before 100 new girls show up at tryouts too.
I think this is the wave of the future at pda until they decide which wins out , expansion or quality of player. Until this is figured out the results will not be pretty
the beginning to the end of PDA because of crazy politics and coaching that is surprised that they now actually have to coach from all of the watered down skill levels within the age groups...money, money, money if you know what I mean
wouldn't it be interesting if the mighty pda lost to somebody like toms river thursday night and get eliminated once again! I think than we can say that wheel have come off this experiment
Yeah I know how funny that would be if Everton did defect them, which they are very capable of doing. My only question is what if they beat Everton then what are we going to do? I guess the wheels have already falling off your bus so please keep us tuned in on the the outcome come Thursday. Should be an interesting game between two talented and well coached teams.
Who cares about the Gunners, Everton game? We all know that 1 of the gunners teams? Not sure which, is probably the best in NJ, regardless of card issues for the true state cup in the fall.
But how about all the rest of the PDA teams? Everton not a bad team, and, I believe, they are in the top 10 in NJ.
Give Everton their due. Are they the gunners? No. Can they defeat any other PDA team at this age? Yes.
Do they pay PDA fees? Don't know, but they seem to have been around for a while and to have improved. The coaching must be decent, and they must draw some good players, maybe not good enough to break into the Gunners top 15, but are good players, and maybe not willing to pay mucho $$ to play for a PDA team that is basically competitive with teams such as Delran, SJ elite, Marlton, etc?
Not bashing PDA, but unless you are good enough to be on their top team, and probably the top to 8-10 on that team, Everton does not look like a bad choice.
The story is not the Nj soccer rankings , Pda probably the best of the lot . The problem is that when these Nj teams including the Pda gunners they don't win outside of nj . They have not won against the best teams in the region > They have many issues and not yet near the team they play in these tournaments. Heck , they don't even win their own tournament . So is it worth the money you decide>
The problem I see is that many of you are worried about kids soccer. And mostly who is better than who and who is not. Does it really matter what another team is doing? I would think not. They only people that should care is the players on those teams. Just worry about and be concerned about your own child and if she is getting the best training and in a place where she is happy. Whether its PDA, Tom River, etc....soccer in the USA is about "MONEY" so if you are paying less great good for you but regardless you are still paying someone. Soccer will never like the other sports here in the USA but I will tell you there is probably more money in soccer than any other youth sport. So again whocares if PDA doesn't win outside NJ its YOUTH SOCCER. Hear that again......YOUTH SOCCER. Thats all it is nothing more, nothing less.
Then 12:40 pm ,you seemed to be concerned by the fact that a) you are watching this blog, B) your issue with others concern about money> I think you should follow your own advice and stay away > Nobody on this blog is talking about individual girls but in generalities about nj youth soccer . So lighten up
For one I am not concerned with anything other than my child. I was stating a fact or facts that obviously rubbed you the wrong way and rightfully so because I am probably talking about parents like yourself so of course it hurts to hear what I said. My issue is not about money at all. It is what it is and that is that. Why base anything on money. Note this if you are talking about any team.....who do you think plays on those team....individual girls right. So you are actually talking about them. Now maybe you are not talking about them in a bad way but you are talking about them.
Stop being so high and mighty about it being "Youth Soccer." The second anyone of goes on a soccer blog, reads it, and writes on it, we have elevated the importance of youth soccer. I don't think you rubbed anyone the wrong way, I thing you sitting and posing like you are some special parent when you are writing on a soccer blog blog is laughable at best.
The Everton are looking for 3 or 4 good athletes to help put them over the top. The core is in place for a good team, but in order to win against these academy teams some new blood is needed.A tryout will be posted soon. Maybe some parents on here who are tired of paying through the nose will bring their daughters. 2 forwards and 2 midfielders. GCC head coach Jim Moore has recently taken over full time training of the team and bigger things are on the horizon. This is a team on the verge. Maybe YOUR daughter is the one. The connection to a college coach and team at age 13 -14 should be enough to wet anyones interest. The caliber of the kids and the training are top notch. This is an opportunity for some good soccer.
I have to be high and mighty now, because I choose to check you on you comments....the fact that you actually think you are elevating youth soccer is nothing but pure comedy to me. People blog or I blog because either what was said or discussed I have a personal opinion either pro or con to it. And lets get it correct I am a special parent. I dont find it funny that your not, but just sad for that your children dont make you feel special......
Hey 8:03, you are no different than any one of the people on this blog. You are having discussions with people you don't even know under the condition of anonymity. No, a special parent would not let a blog post from a stranger get to them. I also think you misinterpreted the poster's comments. I think what the poster was saying was that by blogging on youth soccer, we are all making it more important than it really is and not actually making it better or improving it.
Keep posting and thinking you are the savior of youth soccer.
Maybe you are no different, but I assure you I am very different from you in many ways. Now if you want to convince yourself that we are all the same then thats your opinion and althrough I would never agree to that I respect it. And believe me what you say doesnt get to me. Do I have an opinion, sure I do but thats normal. Savior for youth soccer naw thats not me but am I special I definitely think I am. Your comments only shiw your true lack of confidence in wgat and who you really are. Once again I feel sorry for you that your kids feel your not special
It is ridiculous that someone actually has the time to look up a teams record (pda Gunners) out of state the past 1 1/2 years. Get a life loser and leave these kids and families alone. If they want to get great training from pda then let them get it. If you want to get great training from another team then go get it. Idiot!
The PDA haters are out. Somebody's child had a bad experience and mommy or daddy is now anonymously stirring the pot.
3:15, even though your information is wrong your post seems to imply that the competition is sub-par so the Gunners have to go outside of NJ to find challenging competition.
The reality is that across all age groups, NJ is probably only second to California in soccer development so any team in the top 10-20 are better than most in all 50 states. Being competitive in NJ is a lot to be proud of. The Gunners are a very good team as are many teams in NJ, and every team good team in NJ wins some tough games in tournaments and every good team in NJ loses tough games in tournaments.
Instead of trying to bash or bring down a team, why not be proud of the fact that your kid plays in a great state for soccer where on any given day one top 10 team can beat another top 10 team. It is good for NJ and good for soccer.
MF in process of securing two great wonderful turf fields with one with lights to make it convenient for all. Will also have a new national showcase tournament in Fall 13. An exchange program with some West Coast teams/clubs.
yes that would be great if somebody could post the location here. Matchfit having ecnl girls tryouts soon and would like to see if we would be able to driver there regularly.
Hey Thump thumper PDA South parent so you beat everton a few weeks ago. So what. I said your team as well as Everton, could compete, as well as any top 10 -15 teams. You are no better or worse.
Let me guess. I bet it was by a goal, no more than 2, and a very close game. They may beat you next time. A one goal game does not solidify your superiority.
At least you know that you are no where near the level of the Gunners. Now that is a fact.
Why would a simple statement get you so defensive? I did not say Everton was the team to go to, just that your team is on par with Everton, SJ Elite, Delran, Matchfit, Copa, Stallions, no better or worse, and I am sure you pay a premium for that distinction.
The minute someone says one thing about PDA people have defend or call others haters. Just stating a simple truth. PDA Gunners are the best of the PDA teams. They do a very good job at PDA North. Their other teams are just as competitive as other good teams in NJ. I do not know why it bothers you for me to state it, as you seem to understand that already.
How come you sound so angry on most of your post? Obviously you are a Everton parent and I can see why you can come to the defense of your child’s team. Everton is a very good team and that can’t be denied. Todd has had that team from when those kids were little and I will say he has developed that team to compete with anyone. Do they win all their games, no but its not about winning its about what he has given those young soccer players. I have always been a supporter of what Todd has done with that team. Get over yourself about the $$$$$ Who really cares who pays what. I disagree with the statement that the Gunners are the best team that PDA has at this age group. I believe that they consider all the teams as ONE team and sure they have the South and the North but they are unified and there are girls on the Gunners that come from Atletica and vise versa. There are kids on PDA South that were at PDA South and due to driving distance and time parents moved to the South Team INSIDE of PDA. To say that the Gunner are the best team would have to include Atletica and Pride being that players do interchange depending on tournaments or games. As you know that Gunner pool of players consist of about 50 players believe it or not and about 6 to 7 coaches. The Gunners are no different than any other team in NJ at this age group. Everton is a very good team, Delran although they will never get the credit is a very good team and with Shawn leaving its sadden me because the work he has put into that team is priceless.
Besides, hasn't Everton paid $$$ for professional trainers to train and develop the kids 2-3 days a week for the past several years. Just because some people also decide to spend some more money to receive professional game day coaching from PDA or other academies do not begrudge them.
u-13 is learning and developing age. All teams now playing 11 v 11 with new added players and bigger fields/goals. Most getting paid training and are learning what being in soccer condition for the long offensive/defensive runs is all about. Figuring out the triangle move system works on the big field. In a few weeks after a Fall season and 1/2 Spring good teams will appear and will always be a few surprises. Important that at u-14 a really GOOD player that wants more should be on a Premier Region 1 team, ecnl, or Region 1 league like Colonial or NE. In VA a top VCCL, or in NJ a top EDP,ASL. Size and Speed start to dominate all the critical 50/50's,and learning how to read a referee on what is accepted and not. Pushing the envelope. Having now been at times the hammer and nail, wanting to be the hammer. Starting FUN/CLEAN rivals with other top teams in REGION. Good Luck
Here's a better one. 8:57 poster probably was the one to predict the Elite 8 winners a month ago:
STA over MFC Rovers? Wrong! Freehold Celtic over Westfield Premier? Wrong! NJSA over Copa? Wrong!
Get a clue. The dominant teams at U11 no longer dominant. Othrr teams worked hard and developed their players. Everyone but you knew this day was coming,
It is amazing what posting anonymously does to people.
It is a nice lesson you are teaching children about good sportsmanship.
A good sportsman would have said, "A well-played game by Copa last night to beat the Bulldogs. It is a disappointment that we lost. We saw some things that we have to work on in training, and we will come out better from this defeat."
Open U14 fall tryouts Real Medford formally Delran Red Devils, Today at 5:30 to 7:30 bob bende field Medford The team will be coached by 2 on staff trainers, Team will compete in all the top flights possible for Tourn And league play. For info http://www.realnjsc.org
I think this is a very talented age group. The difference between games in winning and losing is very little. It is great to see any game at the level we are all talking about. They are being well coached and play the game well.No matter what your daughters team is they are fun to watch.
No one is begrudging you anything. You chose to inform us that PDA South just beat Everton a week ago, again big deal, was it 1-0 or 2-1. How did you do against Delran? I am just pointing out that after the Gunners, the rest of the teams can beat each other on any given day, seems including the Gunners.
The point was that other programs can be just as good as PDA, Sorry again for striking a nerve. Tell me again, how many girls were asked from the south to guest for the Gunners? Tell me again, how many from Athletica? South is better than Athletica anyway.
Not a hater as my previous post stated PDA does a good job. Not an Everton parent and do not know the coach personally as you seem to. I just know the soccer landscape in the region pretty well.
U14 is a very important age, as a previous poster has posted. How many of the 50 girls will make the ECNL team? Of whats left, how many will go to Matcfit so that their kid play's ECNL? Of what's left, how many will be good enough to compete in Region 1?
Loyalty is nice to an extent. If your kid is not in that top 10, extra training may be in order. That would probably behoove you more than blogging.
The North coach knows which kids will be on the ECNL team. I am sure he trains them all, as he cares about development, but don't kid yourself, he will pick the best, regardless of how long he has trained your kid, or where the kid has come from
U14 is important. If your kid is very good, but can not break into the ECNL Starting line up, then try MF, or find a team where your kid is top 12. I don't care what kind of "awesome" training a kid is getting, riding the bench is not conducive to developing. This is the age when kids start sitting longer and longer. Ask your kid what they want. Usually it is to play in games, not go to practice and then be a spectator. The point being, there are other very good programs and teams out there with good training. No one cares about the $$ you spend, it's a shame that is all you took from that post.
The unfortunate thing is that most parents really do not have a true perception of their childs abilities.
Delran and their coaches are breaking up, or just moving to somewhere new?
About Delran, ask 9:38 since he knows the soccer landscape very well, knows the outcome of a PDA/Delran game but doesn't know what is happening to the Delran Club. The head trainer took a head of training job at sporting Kansas City and I believe the club will now be playing out of Real SC in Medford.
As for 9:38, your soccer expertise would tell you that the Academy type clubs last and continue to develop through u-18 because they are consistent and they do don't depend on a single individual as Delran. If you know the soccer landscape so well, you would know that there is a divergence of clubs starting at U-13/14. The town teams cannot keep up.
Look at the top 10 teams across all age groups, you won't find Toms River or Delran in the top ten, as you go to u-14 and U-15 and above, you may see a town club team there, but it's rarely the same town club across several age groups. Got soccer isn't great, but it's the best we have, and if you look at Match Fit and PDA seem to be represented broadly across all age groups. U-13 is one snapshot of a club, and if you know youth soccer very well, you would know that very good young teams rarely carry over to the higher age groups.
Cold hard facts here fellow bloggers. A town team cannot keep up with the MF's or PDA's of the youth soccer world. Bigger clubs give kids a better opportunity to grow into collegiate athletes. That ECNL status means a lot which grows into the id2 program and so forth. Staying as a town team just doesn't work. That is why parents bring kids else where to grow.
Coppa 1 Bulldogs 0 Great win by Copa, Bulldogs dominated first 15-20 minutes of 1st half and last 15-20 of 2nd. The time in between was played equal and Coppa scored on one of their chances, Coppa did some good things and improved big time in last 6-7 months.. Hats off to Coppa! Bulldogs still a top team and have lots of improving to do. Good luck to all teams remaining in tournament!

To 11:36 poster: Fairly accurate description of game. But from what I heard Bulldogs did not dominate second half. Was more of an aggressive panic attack the last 10 minutes in a desperate effort to score, and to their credit Copa was able to hold them off. Bulldogs had a couple of corners with chances to equalize but were not able to convert. Kudos to both teams from what sounded like a very competitive game.
Feel good ecnl $$$ parents. Keep promoting ecnl, it needs it.
Some very good and even top teams in ecnl, as well as some very bad teams and clubs in ecnl. Most are above average, that is about it. A lot of money for just above average. Ecnl bigger here, then most states. Egos bigger here then most states. Please just talk to college coaches and get their opinion. They will have the same mixed feelings on ecnl and non-ecnl as blogs.
Does anyone know how many U-18s from PDA, Match Fit, FC Bucks, and FC Delco are going on to Division-1 schools? The debate can be about town clubs versus Academy Clubs, but the above clubs put out more kids in division 1 than other programs. I believe that PDA has 20+ going division 1 across multiple teams, not just ECNL. That's why my kid is going to PDA and Match Fit tryouts. Maybe it's a pipe dream, but beyond wins at losses at U-13, I am trying to open more doors for my child, and I've done my homework, spoken to many coaches from many different clubs with the exception of 3-4 clubs in NJ, the clubs that are good from u-9 to u-13 rarely show up as the top clubs at U-15 to U-18 when the college coaches are looking. I wish we lived in the days where High School soccer was important and kids emerged from there. In my reality, I see a self-selecting process where the kids are being funneled at a young age. This is the decision our family made, I hope my daughter makes an Academy level team for multiple reasons most importantly it's what she wants. To someone else's comment previously, in our discussion about changing clubs, my daughter told me that she would be OK playing less time if she were given a fair opportunity to earn a starting spot. My daughter is motivated by the challenge of competing for a spot day-in and day-out even if it means playing less. I will find out this year and the next few years. My recommendation for all is to look beyond the U-13 age group and look what clubs deliver year in and year out. That's what we did.
How is that 1/4 scholarship? Might even get it pulled next year, because there are no guarantees, only year to year. More money at D3. Check how many Seniors and Juniors on Rutgers, and Rutgers-Newark. Not many, so start wondering why? Just stop with the pay pda a lot of money to get a scholarship bit.
Show me the word scholarship in my post. My daughter wants to play soccer at the highest levels. I am trying to keep every door open. I will find a way to pay for college with or without soccer.
Perhaps you should read the actual post before commenting!!
TOMS RIVER F.C EVERTON ELITE U13G (U14 fall) TRYOUTS
Everton Elite will be holding tryouts:
Date: Tuesday April 30th 5:30pm-7:00pm and Thursday May 2nd 6:30pm-8:00pm
Location: Shelter Cove Fields (See TRFC website for directions)
Everton Elite currently plays in Region I Colonial and EDP Leagues as well as several high level tournaments(Jeferson Cup,WAGS,Stars of Mass). We are professionally trained three days per week. We are looking for a select few, highly motivated, highly skilled, dedicated players that want to take their game to the next level Interested players contact, Coach Todd Teufel @Tmteufel@verizon.net
Which clubs in the EDP league have been accepted into NPL? http://edpsoccer.org/tier2/tier2.php?page=75 Or are all the EDP teams eligible to potentially play in the Championships in Colo if they come in first place in EDP?
I have an older child that has been through the process already. If you really look there is no money for D3 schools for athletics. D2 and up only. If your child wants to play at the higher levels and less playing time then let her. If she wants to play more at the next level down .....let her. If she is 13 she has a right to help...yes help decide her future in the sport. Town team vs academy. The sport is more and more driven by money and handled like a pro team. Which is not always the best for kids. The pressure on kids at this age is intense. We feel it as parents also just check out the arguing in this blog. But i can tell you that after college and they have a real job no one cares that you played soccer for Penn State or Oklahoma or Rutgers. It does teach them to work hard but isn't that your job as a parent. Just enjoy the ride.
9:01 I take it you've played D1 soccer in college?
If not how can you say no one cares?
Sure if you work in an office or lab who cares if you played any Sport in College.
The people who care are the people who have played - put in the time to reach that level and have followed their dreams.
All we can do as parents is support them and let them enjoy doing what they love - in the end LIFE isn't always fair.
But you are right Youth Soccer seems to be all about money these days - Sometimes a real good player is demoted to a B team for reasons that have nothing to do with the way they play - our kids are lucky to have so many options to pick from if that happens to them - some better than others.
.Play township....focus on education...saved money over 10 years toward college and you will have scholarship equivalent amount and they could get one anyway...
Also, its not what school you go to, its how you apply yourself...Its not what team you play for, it is what you make of your skills and work ethic and opportunities.
Life experience, learning to deal with adversity, and gaining intelligence from this situations should be in consideration as higher in value.
It is something inherently wrong and ugly inside of people who feel the need to criticize other teams, when soemone compliments that team. If only you could keep your mouth shut, instead of having to be petty, and tout how great your team and club are.
Sorry, last time i checked Region 1 does not consist only of NJ, and whatever county you live in. Is it megalomania, to think that you are the center of the universe?
The Delran coaching staff is insignificant to me. I have heard that the team will move to Real Medford. I just do not care enough, and again your little slice of NJ is not the all important soccer Mecca. Why would I care unless it affected my kid?
There are many clubs that do just as well at developing the girls, and then when it matters, those girls can choose to move and displace existing players on your team. Don't kid yourself, PDA, Matchfit, Bucks, Delco, etc, will pick the strongest players, regardless of how long little Sally has been playing on the team.
Hence, why you sould keep your mouth shut. Be glad that there are other places for kids to develop and learn the game, you may need one of them in the future.
I know nothing, but I do know where the various good teams in Region 1 will be playing. ECNL, Region 1 Premier, or the new NPL Northeast region of EDP, which will consist of only ECNL clubs, and their non ECNL teams. I know where my kid is playing.
I know when I see good play, I gladly compliment another team. I also know that there will always be soemone waiting with a negative comment, as somehow a compliment to a "lesser" team either personally offends them, or enrages them. Don't know why.
Another new league popping up in the South: S.pa,Md,Va.- So many leagues , can not keep up. EDP looks to be developing and expanding, the new darling ECNL is expanding too. Bigger is better. A total take over of youth soccer. It is a 3.8 billion business.
Hopefully these new leagues will put an end to the worst run league in NJ which is JAGS/MAPS. League is a joke and you get 8 to 10 games total between the fall and spring. Teams play in other leagues to supplement the number of games lost with JAGS. Re-work JAGS at every age group. A few age groups do not have schedules and scores posted. JAGS/MAPS have lost their luster.
JAGS tournament deadline is May 1, I wonder what teams will be playing, it will give a good indication of JAGS future. I can't seem to find an applied team list or accepted team list anywhere. Has anyone seen this. The quality of teams has been diminishing every season and with all the other options available, I don't think there is any going back for most clubs. The EDP with GotSoccer changes things for those clubs chasing points as well.
Every year the top teams have stayed away from the JAGS tournament because it is poorly run. Look at the teams that are in JAGS/MAPS, it is a joke. Spend your tournament money wisely and go somewhere else.
Good tournament. Many teams from outside area and state. Chance to stay local and play and go home each night. We are a top 10 in Region and will be there. Hope to get some easy points.
Nope, no one is going to tryouts. There is a youth soccer boycott and all tryouts have been cancelled. Please be more vague so I can be more sarcastic.
The Paramus Flash have tryouts at 7 PM Thursday and the Gloucester City Lions have Tuesday tryouts this week and next week. Come early, it is expected to be crowded.
How does someone answer a question, "is anyone going to tryouts?" Every club in the state is going through tryouts, it's a state of 9 million people, and clubs spread out throughout the entire state. Vague in that tryouts at what level and where. It's probably doubtful that many people from Cherry Hill are trying out for PDA as it is unlikely that someone from Morristown will be trying out for the South Jersey Barons.
Are you asking about North, Central, or South Jersey, or would you prefer that the question is answered for every club in the state.
Who cares where parents are bringing their girls for try-outs. Go and do what you think is right for your child. Whether it is Cherry Hill or Morristown best of luck. To the person wishing Frenchtown would get into ECNL, you were not accepted. Your club is not big and powerful enough. Have fun at try-outs everyone. Hope your child makes the team they want to play for and not the one you want them to play for.
NPL Champions Cup (as of 4/30), Do you think the NYCSL or EDP NPLs have a chance to win?
U-13 GIRLS:
Jacksonville FC (Florida Premier League) EMFC Athletica Blue (Oregon Premier League) Albion SC (Southern California NPL) ISC Gunners A (Washington State Premier League)
Down in Bethesda, they roster a full max total of the SAME 30 players on both their teams. Rotate/switch players and coaches/trainers every practice and every game. It is said when playing Bethesda, it is like a box of chocolates, never know what you are going to get. I see it as TRUE DEVELOPMENT by a top notch organization and one of the most respected programs in the country the last ten years. Many many players playing not just at D1 schools, but at Penn State, Uof Maryland, and U of VA. Sanford and Texas.
Maybe the point is that we should send a busload of people to Bethesda a few times a week. New Jersey may have a flawed system and it's getting a little crazy with all the leagues, but next to California, you'd be hard pressed to find another state that develops top-notch players year in and year out, there may be fights on this bog about what club is better or not,
The grass is always greener...
We are in a good state for soccer and we only have to look in our own backyard for terrific competition weekly.
Agreed. The Bethesda system works for them, but NJ has great players in R1, Region 1 Premier League and ecnl to go along with all the others ASL, EDP, Colonial etc.
If you check out Bethesda's website it doesent paint the same picture. On there current commitment list for jr.s and sr.s there is one Va player, 2 Md players and 0 PS players. Hardly many, many , many players. Actually with the size of the club there is not that many commitments to top colleges.
The movement in Maryland and Virginia has been away from the ecnl systems. Some clubs in Maryland/VA do not even have their A team or #1 team in ecnl. Other clubs have combined and stay the course to success. Va Heat, Loudon , PWSI, as well as PSC, Balti Bays, Frederick FC, and of course MSC with the unquestionable best u-15 team the last two years in the Nation in MSC Coyotes. Some say the Wash/Balt/No.VA traffic prevents players from traveling far?
Looks like the NJ Cup final four has been set. Who would have picked Fc Milan to be still standing, or Matchfit. Fc Copa has made this run fun to watch and Matchfit really just shocked the age group with that win. Although there can only be 1 winner great job to all the teams that participated. Most importantly great job U13 parents for not trashing other teams on the forum but more or less supporting your team in a positive manner the way you should.
Not to rain on your parade, I agree it is nice to see MF win over the Stampede. The only problem is the Stampede team is not the same. They lost a lot of girls with that coaching fall-out. Let's see how they fair against their next opponent. Should be a very "blue" Sunday for all involved.
I am sure that's what PDA parents want to see, but lets see how this plays out. Didn't Pride play in the Premier bracket in the fall? Also isn't it funny how the "random drawings" worked out that none of the 3 PDA teams would meet up until the semi finals??
Doesn't every parent from any team want to see their child succeed? No matter if you are from MF, FC, PDA it is all we as parents want is success. Some of you get off on killing a club because they are successful. Git over it and git over yourself. BTW I like the reference to "blue" Sunday for all involved.
Well you’re really not raining on my parade, but I would agree that the Stampede team is not the same as years past. Does it matter, not really because what Shawn put together in the short period of time is just amazing. Although they have had players go different directions it’s still a great feat. I know I had them picked to reach the final four but MF came through and did their thing so you have to applaud that team for messing up my bracket. This weekend won’t be all “blue” you still have FC Milan that could make some noise. It’s anyone’s tournament this weekend. The surface will neutralize every team being that it’s not on turf I assume. The random drawing probably was not random but I think they did it right. Who cares what side of the bracket they are on you still have to win to advance. I like the matchup of FC Copa Milan and PDA Pride. I am not sure if these two teams have faced each other but seeing FC Copa go through the bracket one can only see that they are beginning to believe they can win it all. The Matchfit Rovers are going to have their hands full with the PDA Gunners but hey that’s on paper and in sports you have to play the game so Matchfit may be brewing up some UPSET Vanilla Chai Tea. I guess we all have to wait until Sunday to see how that holds true. My pick is PDA Gunners over PDA Pride 3-1
"The Matchfit Rovers are going to have their hands full"
Understatement of the year. The Rovers are nothing more than a kick and run team. This style of play may have worked against lesser kick and run teams, but will no longer work at U-14 and beyond, at least against academy teams.
I concur , have seen all the teams in the final play , and have to say the gunners team is much better than they were last year. I think the game against matchfit will be 3-0 gunners > As far as the pride copa game I dont think it matters to the finals. Neither team the equal of the gunners. Fvc copa will play pride ok but the only advantage they will have is that the field is terrible . Other wise I have to say as well gunners 3-0 over the pride I just dont think the other teams here have anywhere near the talent that pda accumulated up norht with the gunners.

Not a great weekend for ECNL clubs.
Games do not matter to ecnl, just a regulated training session in the coaches eyes. They are not going for points anymore or wins.
Games matter to parents and that's who writes the checks.
Good luck against PDA Gunners in US Club Cup.
sucks when you lose eh?
when a ref doesnt know the game time, which line constitutes the box and where a penalty kick is placed, someone needs to yell.
And by won, I mean at the final....I know we tied..
Last time TR played Gunners, TR won, no? Any given Sunday.
Re: (Stallions) "parents start to jump"....
They just JUMPED - back to the coach of their choosing
The team solidifies from here... just not overnight.
They chose the COACH
had they chose WINNING they'd have stayed at Crush
Does anyone know who some of the teams are that are going to the PDA tourny in April? I didn't see an applied list on their website. Thanks

THANKS
Who is is this TOMES RIVER parent thinking this team is all that.when you step up to the platinum division you may speak. Just let the girls have fun and dont worry about the refs.At the end of the day its about her not you wanting to play in the girls game. OH by the way maps and gold division HA HA HA CONVERSATION OVER FOR TOMS RIVER
Looks like a lot of good teams will be there. No FC Stars, World Class Patino, Manhattan, or YMS, but they probably have Premier League commitments.

I did...;)
I think the conversation is just beginning . Otherwise you wouldnt have wasted your time getting in it. Overlook them. go ahead.
PLATINUM 5267 points to the champions
ELITE 6171 points to the champions
GOLD 5792 points to the champions
Seems to me that it didn't much matter which bracket you played. Good solid teams in all of them.
To all, please dont make this like the u12 blogg..
When did Sybil start posting to this forum?
Jeff Cup predections?
Watch out for the TR Everton. Thy have some new girls mixed in with the team and are just starting to play well together. I think they can compete with any of these teams.
I think World Class will come up victorious. I'm sure none of them have slept a wink since their loss to Rowdies.
World Class
ABGC Premier
Penn Legacy
LDC United
Smithtown Kickers
ISA Elite
But some of these teams dont have 16 million Gotsoccer points though, so I don't know :)
MAPS Predictions?
South Jersey Elite
TRFC Milan
NJ Dynamo
But unfortunately Mother Nature might win it all.
SJEB
Intense Soccer Academy
Dynamo
I think the Joker who was commenting on The Toms River team not being in the conversation doesnt realize there are 2 U13 TR teams. The Everton and also the Milan. The milan are in Maps. Get yourself straight before posting...
Both TR teams are sub par, just one is a little less skilled then the other.
Put down your tumbler, put the cap back on the bottle, and back away from the keyboard.
Always heartwarming to see the efforts of 12/13 year old girls knocked down by mature adults.
As we kick off the spring season, good luck to all the KIDS who work hard and give their best every time they step on the field. Shame on the parents.
Sorry for the misspellings and poor grammar which is also my right as a parent. It was perspective, pregame, and others.
Stutter much too.
I think hamilton wins today, quickstrike seems to be doing well, dont think njsa is the team they use to be
Hamilton looked slow. Time change must have effected them.
They haven't looked the same the last few times I saw them play. Have they lost any key girls? Still a good team, just not the same.
New coaching style. Developing players and not concerned with game results.
Sounds like a pda B team.
Westfield nixe job this weekend congrats
NPL Champions League Teams so far.
How does NYCSL and EDP crown champions? Do they combine Fall and Spring records?
U-13 GIRLS:
EMFC Athletica Blue (Oregon Premier League)
ISC Gunners A (Washington State Premier League)
Additional teams TBD
Developing players is a new coaching style? If not concerned with results, why enter the big tournaments? Just curious...not being a wise guy.
Everyone is concerned with the result...provided the result was achieved by playing the game properly.
define properly.
Not cheating, no ghost guest players,
all players paying the same amount, current active player and coaching cards.
A kick and run goal should only count as a half a point?
Some of these teams/girls are playing in two /three different leagues now. Just crazy!
Europeans have a training ratio at the youth level of 5:1 training versus games.
...but then again, this is not a blog for coaches or players. It is a blog for parents with a chip on their shoulder..myself included.
Good Luck to those representing NJ in VA @ the Jeff Cup this coming weekend.
Good Luck:
SJEB
Stampede
Delran
PDA
MFC
STA
Jersey Strong
You forgot Toms River Everton who will also be representing NJ.
@jeffcup and heard delran parents talking sunday morning about the delran head coach leaving and team breaking up. happens more/more at this age.
Get over it
I thought Striker park to be quite impressive
To keep that many grass fields so finely manicured is a talent.....
Bravo, Jefferson Cup. Fine weekend
Matchfit njx barcelona are having there own tryouts
On matchfits website i see tryouts for ENCl,NPL,Berkley and holmdel but none for rovers or revolution how come anybody know?
PDA Gunners vs. MF Revolution game tonight...results? Anybody?
Gunners 7-0 over the Match Fit "B" team. Big deal, yawn...
HA!! That's what i would've guessed. Just checking. Someone is in the wrong bracket.
That is Match Fit trying to prove to the world that they have a strong program when in all reality they have one team that is okay at best. Match Fit can merge into whatever they want, they still are years away from becoming a big dog in the game.
SDFC 2013/2014 Tryout schedule is now available.

Why would Matchfit have to prove anything to anybody. They have already proved they can help develop youth players as any other club. Sounds like you are mad or upset of their current and most recent merger or past mergers. Relax okay its just Youth Soccer at best nothing more, nothing less.
What league was the Gunners/Match Fit game in?
PDA parent told me gunner are now ECNL FOR U14. What happens to the blue and white girls that dont make the 21 roster spots. Are they going to be a new athletica team. if so what happens to the 20 or so girls that dont make it.
They will be cut. It's the PDA way.
It's everyone's way
b teams, c teams still want those checks coming in. Have to finance the A team.
Is the Gunners team playing in the NJ Cup the blue, white or some combination of both? If combination, it could give an indication of the new members of the ECNL team....that is before 100 new girls show up at tryouts too.
Hi does anybody know if the matchfit tryouts for the girls team will well attended and competitive
Wow! What happened to pda in their own tourney. Very poor proformance. In fact most age groups did poorly in their own tournament. Just sayin.
What do you mean.........please explain.
wouldn't it be interesting if the mighty pda lost to somebody like toms river thursday night and get eliminated once again!
MF having special summer try outs in June.
Then again 11:41a, wouldn't it be funny if 3 out of 4 pda teams were in the final 4? How funny would that be.
Results from the Toms River/PDA game?
PDA 2 TRFC 0
1:15 AM
"Give Everton their due. Are they the gunners? No. Can they defeat any other PDA team at this age? Yes."
For the record, Everton lost to the PDA South team a few weeks ago in the EDP and that team is not near the Gunners level.
1:24/12:40
Once again I feel sorry for you that your kids feel your not special
pda Gunners are 1-8-2 outside of NJ in the last 11/2 years. Nice job!
That awesome I didn't know they played that many out of state teams. Must be nice to travel I guess.
2 Players left PDA gunners! Why?
It is ridiculous that someone actually has the time to look up a teams record (pda Gunners) out of state the past 1 1/2 years. Get a life loser and leave these kids and families alone. If they want to get great training from pda then let them get it. If you want to get great training from another team then go get it. Idiot!
Gotta agree with above, leave the team alone
what kind of statistic is that, their performance in the Jeff cup already had 2 "out of state" wins.
Not sure about their other out of state games
Hi ,does anybody know where matchfit will play their ecnl home games ? Any idea if they have a dedicated facility ? Thanks
MF in process of securing two great wonderful turf fields with one with lights to make it convenient for all.
Will also have a new national showcase tournament in Fall 13.
An exchange program with some West Coast teams/clubs.
Awesome news for the area.
Any idea what town the new fields are in?
Would also love to know where these new fields might be. Currently Match Fit North is drivable for us, but Holmdel a little too far south.
yes that would be great if somebody could post the location here. Matchfit having ecnl girls tryouts soon and would like to see if we would be able to driver there regularly.
Location is important. Even though my daughter is extremely talented, I will not drive more then 45 minutes.
did FC Delco post the tournament fights?

GAME DAY COACHING ? With all these coaches /trainers, who picks the short straw?
Copa milan !-0 njsa bulldogs
Copa Milan, NJSA Bulldogs must of played with 7 players because the Copa team is def. not a good team
Or perhaps a team came to play and played well. That's why we play games on not just give "the better" team the win.
u-13 is learning and developing age.
Good Luck
Sounds like 8:57 daughter's team got beat by Copa Milan team. Poor cry baby. Grow up or keep stupid posts to yourself.
Everyone but you knew this day was coming,
8:57
It is amazing what posting anonymously does to people.
It is a nice lesson you are teaching children about good sportsmanship.
A good sportsman would have said, "A well-played game by Copa last night to beat the Bulldogs. It is a disappointment that we lost. We saw some things that we have to work on in training, and we will come out better from this defeat."
Any insight into PDA's first ECNL tryout this week? Numbers?
I think less kids tried out this year from last year, wonder why, as I believe the Gunners actually got better this year..
Open U14 fall tryouts Real Medford formally Delran Red Devils,
Today at 5:30 to 7:30 bob bende field Medford
The team will be coached by 2 on staff trainers,
Team will compete in all the top flights possible for Tourn
And league play.

Congrats to all the girls for a hard fought weekend. They should all hold their heads high!! Keep up the great work.
Yes, congrats to the Gunners, great weekend girls! Keep up the hard work.
I think this is a very talented age group. The difference between games in winning and losing is very little. It is great to see any game at the level we are all talking about. They are being well coached and play the game well.No matter what your daughters team is they are fun to watch.
Flemington 3-2 loss to Stampede. Shows how strong Flemington is. Heard they played very tough.
What happened to Delran Red Devils, they were a good team? Is the coach taking his daughter someplace else after this season or something?
Why are people still talking about daddy coaches? By this age they should all be banned.
Coppa 1 Bulldogs 0
Great win by Copa, Bulldogs dominated first 15-20 minutes of 1st half and last 15-20 of 2nd.

Does anyone know how many U-18s from PDA, Match Fit, FC Bucks, and FC Delco
are going on to Division-1 schools?
Wrong.
Who will represent NYCSL & EDP at the NPL Championships in Colo?
U-13 GIRLS:
1.Jacksonville FC (Florida Premier League)
2. EMFC Athletica Blue (Oregon Premier League)
3. ISC Gunners A (Washington State Premier League)
Which clubs in the EDP league have been accepted into NPL?
http://edpsoccer.org/tier2/tier2.php?page=75
Or are all the EDP teams eligible to potentially play in the Championships in Colo if they come in first place in EDP?
I would think the champion since EDP looks like it has a different set up than NYCSL.
From NPL site:
"EDP’s Boys and Girls First Divisions are member leagues of US Club Soccer’s National Premier Leagues ("NPL")"
Did anyone attend the Matchfit tryouts and find out where the ECNL team would practice/play?
D3 money is masked as academic grant.
As in - the coach will find you the academic $$ if he/she wants you.
Does it matter what you call it? Scholarship - grant -
all the same - a deduction from what you need to pay.
Still chasing the scholarship.
.Play township....focus on education...saved money over 10 years toward college and you will have scholarship equivalent amount and they could get one anyway...
Also, its not what school you go to, its how you apply yourself...Its not what team you play for, it is what you make of your skills and work ethic and opportunities.
Life experience, learning to deal with adversity, and gaining intelligence from this situations should be in consideration as higher in value.
OK Mom
Mom is usually right unless its your Mom..lol...Can we start telling Mom jokes on here?
Yo mama's so stupid she stares at an orange juice carton every morning for an hour cause it says "concentrate"
Haha
Your mama so short, she can breakdance on Now & Later wrappers.....
Did Gunners win their Cup game today?
yup, 5-0 win
Your mama is so stupid she went to the orthodontist to get a blue tooth
Every year the top teams have stayed away from the JAGS tournament because it is poorly run. Look at the teams that are in JAGS/MAPS, it is a joke. Spend your tournament money wisely and go somewhere else.
Good tournament. Many teams from outside area and state. Chance to stay local and play and go home each night. We are a top 10 in Region and will be there. Hope to get some easy points.
Is anyone going to any tryouts? where and why?
Nope, no one is going to tryouts. There is a youth soccer boycott and all tryouts have been cancelled. Please be more vague so I can be more sarcastic.
The Paramus Flash have tryouts at 7 PM Thursday and the Gloucester City Lions have Tuesday tryouts this week and next week. Come early, it is expected to be crowded.
The Frenchtown Strikers are next Saturday. It's an up and coming club. They are applying for the ECNL.
Its a direct question jackbag. Where and when? Nothing is vague except your sense of humor,or lack there of.
Yo mama's so ghetto, she puts her food stamps in a money clip...........................
Looks like a club does not have to be big and powerful to get into ecnl anymore. Just money. Pay the fee.
87 new clubs entered ecnl this year across the country. Some not even having a team in each age group.
Just expansion?
NPL Champions Cup (as of 4/30), Do you think the NYCSL or EDP NPLs have a chance to win?
U-13 GIRLS:
Jacksonville FC (Florida Premier League)
EMFC Athletica Blue (Oregon Premier League)
Albion SC (Southern California NPL)
ISC Gunners A (Washington State Premier League)
Yo mama is so old that she knew Burger King while he was still a prince.
One out of three PDA teams knocked out of the NJ Cup. Will be extremely interesting to see who makes the finals.
Sanford and Texas.
great idea 3:21
Would not work here in NJ. Too many big egos and top parents want control and /or play for free.
So what is your point? Are you posting just to post? Penn State, Uof Maryland, and U of VA. Stanford (not Sanford) and Texas are all D1 schools.
Va Heat, Loudon , PWSI, as well as PSC,
Balti Bays, Frederick FC, and of course MSC with the unquestionable best u-15 team the last two years in the Nation in MSC Coyotes.
Does anybody no what going on with matchfit. Alot of rumors about loosing kids.
Doesn't every parent from any team want to see their child succeed? No matter if you are from MF, FC, PDA it is all we as parents want is success. Some of you get off on killing a club because they are successful. Git over it and git over yourself. BTW I like the reference to "blue" Sunday for all involved.
MF is losing some players. Making room for all the new players. The team will be great, not only Regionally, but Nationally.
Where will the new MF ECNL team practice/play out of?
Fvc
copa will play pride ok but the only advantage they will have is that the field is terrible . Other wise I have to say as well gunners 3-0 over the pride
I just dont think the other teams here have anywhere near the talent that pda accumulated up norht with the gunners.
