Congrats to Matchfit...they got the job done at National Cup, and that is a big accomplishment. It's a big tournament, but it's not on the level of the the top two national tourneys—in which NJ failed to place a team:http://tournaments.usyouthsoccer.org/events/2016-National-Championships/Schedule/U16-Boys/Division+1/http://www.nationalpremierleagues.com/schedules/2016/81785165.htmlI don't post this to be critical...but to ask why. I know the competition in USYS Region 1 is fierce (would anyone argue that the USYS Region 1 tournament isn't tougher than the National Cup finals?) but in the Region 1 tournament, NJ had all their eggs in PDA's basket, and they were unable to get out the group stage. http://tournaments.usyouthsoccer.org/events/2016-Region-I-Championships/Schedule/U16-Boys/Division+1/More teams choose to play NJ Cup...which is an automatic qualifier for the lesser National Cup. Is there an alternate path for these teams to reach the NPL Finals? Those teams seem to be largely the same ones every year. They are excellent teams, but access to outside qualifiers seems to be nearly impossible.

Why is this room so quiet?
Anybody here attending the Main Line friendlies this Sunday?
Mainline Friendlies is the best showcase I have ever seen. If your team is ever invited go! Cost is nearly nothing and the college coaches are all over. Been there last 2 years, it keeps growing. Top teams get invited and at least 80 colleges will be there.
The Mainline Friendlies was very nice, good fields, beautiful weather, 16 of the tops teams in Region 1 and about 85 college coaches; including 21 DI coaches. The level of the competition could have been a little higher, but I guess most coaches used it as a showcase (friendlies) and not as a points grabber like a regular tournament where coaches just want to win at all costs.
Manhattan Kickoff tournament this weekend any team in here going?
WOW, this room is dead!!!
Yeah...why so dead? Lots of discussion at U18, but that's all 98/99s (U19 by current standards). What happened to this group—the old 99/00?
