U16B - Competition is thick, diverse and talented

What can we say? This age bracket attracts a lot of attention and several teams have very different rosters going into Fall 2014.

Better than ever.

Region 1 at this age bracket offers a lot of talent at the top of the rankings.
U16 Boys soccer is where the action is.

Did Cedar Stars have a team that played super y at this age group? As far as I know, they did not.

Anonymous said...

Maybe it was a mistake and they are U15 or U17. Gotsoccer does that sometimes.

Anonymous said...

I think you're right. Cedar Stars does have multiple teams playing super y but I don't think they played at this age group.

Anonymous said...

The team exists, academy years are different.

Anonymous said...

Cedar Stars Newark is not academy. They play EDP.

Anonymous said...

How is that not an academy and where do they play EDP. Good press for them.

Anonymous said...

Cedar Stars has academy teams and club teams, just like PDA and HJCSA.
Cedars Stars Newark is a new club team made up of St. Benedist Prep kids and they are going to play in EDP.

Anonymous said...

They have 18 St Benedict players that are age appropriate. I think not.

Anonymous said...

Early rankings for the spring season? top ten or five?

Anonymous said...

pretty sure cedar stars combined with NJSA - and perhaps the NJSA team is now the one called Cedar Stars in U16 - I know NJSA played Super Y.

Anonymous said...

1:43
Cedar Stars owns NJCSA but the teams have not combined.

CSA Bergen- U8-U14 U14 Academy U13 Pre-Academy and EDP

CSA Newark- U8-U18 EDP

NJCSA- U8-U18 U14/U16/U18 Academy U12/U13/U15/U18 Pre-Academy and EDP.

Anonymous said...

Ramos and NJSA04 Academy tried to move to NJ Stallions a few years ago. Didn't work out. Now they're at Cedar Stars. Will see how it goes.

Top 5
1. SSC
2. SDFC
3. Matchfit
4. Marlboro
5. Marlton

Anonymous said...

Don't lose sight of STA.

Anonymous said...

Why Matchfit? They were ranked low last year.

Anonymous said...

Matchfit is an academy team that is no longer playing academy. Ranked where? They are good

Anonymous said...

we'll expect great things from matchfit. If you're that good, why wouldn't you be #1? And you are ranked on got soccer.

Anonymous said...

Academy is different.

Anonymous said...

Actually this is good that MF is playing the likes of SSC and SDFC. We will see the academy team vs the club team debate carry on.

Anonymous said...

Earth to Holmdel: Hope is not a strategy. High marks for hanging around but still a daddy ball team.

Anonymous said...

Why do you care what happens to Holmdel? How do you know the inner workings and who is training? Show me another team that was dominant, had complete turnover and is again a top team. That is not hope, that is a fact.

Anonymous said...

This Holmdel team was dominant? When?

Anonymous said...

I guess 2:44 cant read.

Anonymous said...

Holmdel may be dominant player low-mid level teams but will have a tough time with the top tier.

Anonymous said...

When will holmdel even play the top teams? Their schedule is against the 2nd tier

Anonymous said...

Whoever's top 5 NJ Club teams list that was, was completely absurd, Stronghold has never beaten SDFC and look at the ACTUAL rankings SDFC is ranked 3 in the nation, 2 in the region, and 1 in the state.

Anonymous said...

Absurd? It was a predicted ranking. Deal with it

Anonymous said...

I think SDFC being 3 in the nation is absurd. The nation's got thousands of teams. The odds of SDFC being #3 is pretty low.

Anonymous said...

Perhaps you should play them. See for yourself

Anonymous said...

Some pretty smug parents out there.

Anonymous said...

Forget about the gotsoccer rankings sdfc. You will have some matchup problems with some NJ teams

Anonymous said...

Only team that matches up with SDFC is Stronghold. Others may be able to squeeze out a win but Stronghold is where the trip begins.

Anonymous said...

Marlboro to repeat again this year!

Anonymous said...

Good one. Everyone knows it will either be SDFC or SSC as the favorites, throw in Matchfit and those are the teams to beat.

Anonymous said...

There are teams that chase pts. and there are teams that don't. SDFC and SSC do chase pts. These teams shouldn't be so full of themselves just because they have a high ranking.

Anonymous said...

10:35 Why Matchfit? Why are they even mentioned with SDFC and SSC?

Anonymous said...

Chase points? You mean by playing in the highest possible tournaments against the highest possible teams? You must win to gain points, therefore that means they beat the best teams at the best tournaments. Go back to your Maps schedule.

Anonymous said...

Matchfit is a quality team that doesn't chase pts. There are plenty of teams like that.

Anonymous said...

Matchfit doesnt get placed in the top flights of tournaments therefore they cant earn a lot of points because they are playing against inferior teams which bring no value to the flight. MF will soon find out.

Anonymous said...

Really. Have you seen MF play or played them? If not, you do not know what you are talking about. There are teams that can win on any given day (MF, STA, SSC, Marlton,SDFC, Marlboro, SJEB, STA) and there are teams that can effectively make it through an entire tournament (SSC, SDFC, Marlboro, and now MF)

All other teams winning against these named above (in NJ terms) would be a major upset.

Anonymous said...

We surprised everyone last year and we will surprise you all again this year.

Anonymous said...

Surprised who? Who are you? Unless you are from the Galacticos, you did not surprise anyone.

Anonymous said...

My son's team (STA) played MF late fall. We were missing a few as I'm sure they were. MF is a very good team.

Anonymous said...

Speaking for MF, we look forward to some very good competition this Spring. All the teams we will be playing will be very good and that's what we are looking for. You don't get better by playing weaker teams so we are happy playing in the league we have been placed. Nothing but respect for what the top teams have accomplished over the past few years. Should be fun!

Anonymous said...

I love how all of this is turning out to be, even though spring season has not started....

Anonymous said...

Huh???

Anonymous said...

Marlboro surprised everyone last and will surprise everyone again this year.

Anonymous said...

Call me a sore looser, I don't care, but everyone that was at the state finals against SDFC noticed how bad the refs called it which lead to the Marlboro win. They took away a perfect header goal for SDFC that was not offsides, and if that was not enough, SDFC goalie saved a penalty shot, but it had to be retaken again because the goalie stepped off the line, seriously? It was a fine game from both sides, but it was obvious.
Marlboro has a great bunch of boys that play well and leave everything on the field, and they certainly did not need the refs help that day. The refs left a bitter taste for the game of soccer.
All sate finals should have out of state refs and play in a neutral field.

Anonymous said...

Shows what you know. All refs are assigned by the state. I wasn't there but if a pk was allowed to be retaken for the keeper being off the line I would have to think that the last call any ref wants to make is that one. It must have been aggregious. I also don't believe an SDFC parent wrote the above comment as they are fairly quiet. So to the person who wrote it hiw did marlborio win the US club state cup also? How did they not deserve those wins also?

Anonymous said...

Isn't SDFC the only team to ALREADY clinch a spot at nationals in their group. So where are the other NJ teams at?

Anonymous said...

Very true 3:19, SDFC is the best team but still cant beat Holmdel. I know, scrimmages dont count because 15 and 16 year olds dont play hard in a scrimmage. LOL

Anonymous said...

Some old school Holmdel smack talk. Gotta like it.

Anonymous said...

SSC, SDFC, Maloro, Marlton are the top teams in this state...Sjeb, sta, and matchfit are below them and if you look at the results of these teams you will see.

Anonymous said...

All past results. I'm looking forward to a new season.

Anonymous said...

Dont sell MF short. I believe they will win one state championship.

Anonymous said...

All you point chasers at the top don't count Match Fit or any other team out. A game is played on the field and not on the blogs. By the way, this Match Fit team was the top team in the eastern division 2 years ago, they beat up both PDA and Red Bulls.

Anonymous said...

If matchfit is not into the points then why do they complain about not being in tournaments top flights?

Anonymous said...

matchfit is not complaining that they're not in the top flights. What they are saying is they are a very good team who are not allowed to compete with top flight teams because they haven't earned enough pts. the reason is that the played in the academy league last year where pts. are not valued and collected.

Anonymous said...

Match Fit beat PDA and RedBulls according to previous post. Now, if MF does not run through the likes of SDFC, SSC, Marlboro, and so on what does that tell us about the academy system?

Anonymous said...

Are you saying any teams that are ranked higher than academy teams are better teams? Strange point of view since the academy league doesn't use the same ranking system. Did MF ever play SDFC, SSC, or Marlboro?

Anonymous said...

Not at all. I thought it was clear, but this is what I meant. IF MF has a track record of beating RB and PDA (who are known for being the top teams) then we will have a good gauge by merely watching MF this season. How they perform against the top non academy teams should give us an idea of the actual gap between academy and non academy teams. At least it is something to look and will give some insight. MF will play SDFC, SSC, Marlboro, Marlton, SJEB, STA this season. Hope that clears it up for you.

Anonymous said...

Perfectly! Thanks so much. One problem, MF probably won't play SDFC or SSC this season because of where the teams are ranked.

Anonymous said...

Problem solved. They are all in the same league division. Yes, they will all play.

Anonymous said...

MF, beware of what you ask for. At this point you only have one place to go, down.

Anonymous said...

I see the children are out.

Anonymous said...

Nobody is saying that MF is going to run the table. Teams will win and teams will lose. It will make for great competition.

Anonymous said...

If MF doesnt have a great showing against these teams then it will bring a whole new light on the academy teams. The above poster has a good point on that subject.

Anonymous said...

Manhattan tournament coming up, i cant find applied teams. Am I missing it?

Anonymous said...

How is Matchfit competing at u-16 with 99 or 98 academy team? Or did they rearrange their teams?

Anonymous said...

Combination of 99's and 98's all former academy players.

Anonymous said...

Not sure that answers the question. Did they realign a team or is this the same team that competed in the academy league last year.

Anonymous said...

The team is a combination of 99 and 98 MFA kids that competed in the academy last year. Hope that is clear enough.

Anonymous said...

So it's a new team. Academy competes by birth year.. Good luck

Anonymous said...

a u16 academy team is both 98's and 99's but half of the 98's would not qualify for club u16. They would be u17.

Anonymous said...

So no Mr clarity you didn't

STA drops out of EDP central. What happen STA afraid of tough competition??

Anonymous said...

Are you seriously asking that question? Even if you think that is the case, you took the time to ask it? You seem to be overly confident, what team do you represent? If you had any knowledge at all you would recognize that STA is a very good team and why anyone chooses to stay or go is really none of your business.

Anonymous said...

Although EDP Central Division 1 is very difficult, i doubt that they dropped out for that reason.

Anonymous said...

what do you guys think is the best achievement for these club teams?

Anonymous said...

Matchfit will be schooled this season.

Anonymous said...

Best achievement.. Win a National champion..

Anonymous said...

Get better as individuals. Improve both technically and mentally. Simple answer.

Anonymous said...

Why are there several national championships? Shouldn't there be one?

Anonymous said...

Different organizations
Different management
different money exchanging hands

Anonymous said...

1. Sdfc
2. SSC
3. Marlton
4. Marlboro
5. Europa
6. YMS
7. Matchfit
8. Sjeb
9. Lehigh

How the central division for EDP will finish, my prediction? Anyone disagree?

Anonymous said...

That is a tough group, good luck to those teams. I think injuries will play a key role in who does well and who does not and in any case I wouldn't look to much into a poor season because we dont know all of the players on these teams. I don't think you are giving MF enough credit, I think they will be in 3rd or better place. I dont think I have ever seen Europa play so I cant speak for them. YMS is a strange team, can beat you one day and lose by 4 the next. Marlton should surprise all and come in top 3 also.

Anonymous said...

Europa has played SDFC many times ended in 2 draws and 1 win for SDFC, good looking group

Anonymous said...

Manhattan, do you think you can put up the schedules by now???? How about the accepted teams list??? Ok, that is all too hard, how about the applied team listing????? Act like you care!

Anonymous said...

Do you think it is still on? It doesn't look too promising.

Anonymous said...

APC Tournament schedule is out, what is on with the Manhattan organizers?

Anonymous said...

They are not even putting in the time to fake it this year. It will not happen and they know it.

Anonymous said...

Us club State cup draw is out..why no SDFC?

Anonymous said...

Is SDFC playing as Montclair United?

Anonymous said...

The schedule for the Manhattan tournament is posted. Will it be canceled? No one knows.

Anonymous said...

US Club will have Stronghold as it's new champion. Check out the brackets.

Anonymous said...

We'll see about that...

Anonymous said...

Did you see the brackets? Look and you will agree.

Anonymous said...

For Kicks I looked at the brackets to see for myself. I must say, Stronghold has very little getting in the way of the semi's.
each groups top 2 favorites, from top to bottom.

Marlboro or SJ Barons
Matchfit or Marlton
Stronghold or Stronghold
Howell or STA

Anonymous said...

you have a point.

Anonymous said...

Congrats to SSC Falcons winning regional Futsal champions

Anonymous said...

Great job Falcons, you rule the indoor world.

Anonymous said...

Now we move on to rule the outdoor world

Anonymous said...

Since there were only 8 teams at the futsal regional competition, I wouldn't brag that SSC rules the indoor world.

Anonymous said...

Come on really? There are many teams that can win over SSC. Let's start with the main issue, how will you get by SDFC?

Anonymous said...

SDFC will talk when you have a national championship under your belt

Anonymous said...

Zzzzz...the back and forth banter between SSC and SDFC is old and tiresome. Competition statewide is strong so let the players play do the talking. A lot can happen in a few months span from U15 to U16 so to crown champions before games are played is foolish.

Anonymous said...

SSC, SJEB, Marlboro, Marlton, SDFC, and maybe Matchfit will be the top teams like they usually have been.. I predict a new state champion this year.. Marlton vs SSC in the finals.

Anonymous said...

Got soccer is a good reference point for "top teams" except MatchFit is a bit of an unknown. These "top teams" all have a bunch of losses. Over confidence will hurt these beatable teams.

Anonymous said...

Those "top" teams should realize that they have been around for years so they have accumulated points that have put them in high brackets where you earn more points. It's easy for a team to have inflated pts. and rankings. At this age you get a lot of new teams due to high school aged players. They may not be as technical as the old
teams but they may win based on athletic ability. (If they got the chance which they probably won't because of the way the system is set up.)

Anonymous said...

Again poor information. You lose points every year and unless you earn back points your total will decrease. Yes, the top teams have losses, but that is because they are all playing top 20 teams regionally. Those teams that are NJ ranked 10 or below wouldnt have a win if they played the top teams schedules. What mid level team do you propose will make the jump this year?

Anonymous said...

what 3:14 is saying is that the top teams have the most points because they have beaten the better teams.

Anonymous said...

SSC, talk to us when you qualify for Nationals.

Anonymous said...

SSC already qualified, they will see you there SDFC

Anonymous said...

Mmmmm. Don't See SSC on this List. This is the only way a team could have qualified for 2015 Nationals in Tulsa so far.

Tell us SSC how did you already qualify?

Anonymous said...

Marlboro will lose to Holmdel. Holmdel is back!

Anonymous said...

Are you serious Holmdel? there is no way you are going to be able to compete with the top tier.

Anonymous said...

Why not? Are you at their practices? Do you know who they added? Do you know who they lost? Do you know the coaching philosophy? Unless you are a player on Holmdel, no you dont know. So, why not?

Anonymous said...

"Yesterday's homeruns don't win today's games." (Babe Ruth) anyone can compete with the top tier. Doesn't mean they will beat the best teams from LAST year but compete with them.........for sure. commenter 10:51 are you playing in the games yourself? If so to guarantee wins is confidence mixed with some arrogance which is a quality all great player have. I can respect that competitive nature in you. However if you are not playing in the games yourself then please watch them, enjoy them and cheer for your team from the sideline like everyone else. With your backside on a donut cushion you brought from home on a bench and leave your high high horse in the garage. Ok Daddio?.

Anonymous said...

Well said 10:27. Holmdel will shock many this year. You will see.

Anonymous said...

Who has Holmdel defeated recently to have such an opinion?

Anonymous said...

It does not appear that they have gained a result from any of the top teams for quite some time.

Anonymous said...

It's a new season they have some new players. Maybe everyone should keep an open mind instead of living in the past.

Anonymous said...

I agree, who the hell knows what they have done. For all we know they added 4 new players and we all know that 4 very good players changes an entire team.

Anonymous said...

Looks like Holmdel parents have resurfaced..

Anonymous said...

Holmdel is a good group of dedicated soccer players. Have added a few and will be better. We know we need to earn the right to be considered upper tier and hope to accomplish that

Anonymous said...

That is so not true Holmdel. You run a biased program and You mistreat your players. If you are not associated with the original coach you will definitely be treated unfairly. We made the decision to leave and others are also thinking about leaving.

Anonymous said...

So disclose. Who are you and why did u leave

Anonymous said...

How anyone comes on here and makes such statements about nonsense in saying your kids will win certain games against specific teams is so silly. Don't you idiots realize the lesson this teaches our kids (yes, they are kids)? When the D1 coach comes scouting for your boy wonder I'm sure the first question he will ask will be which teams your son's club team beat this year. The other item that is comical is that if some of you step back for a minute you may see how stupid or embarrassing you come off as being affiliated or as a a supporter of a particular team. First time I've looked at the blog in months and I forget how much I do miss it for entertainment value. Thanks for the laughs gentlemen. And yes I'll keeping reading.

Anonymous said...

Marlton?? Top tier?? Maybe one or two of there kids... Their "one trick pony" may need some amazing tricks to beat the top teams!! Holmdel looks strong

Anonymous said...

Hey 11:12, you are correct. I don't know what these people are gonna do with themselves in 2 years. At this stage the prize is playing college soccer for most of these kids. I have a newsflash for most on this site, none of this stuff matters! College coaches are not out there looking for entire teams, they are looking for very skilled individuals. They really don't care if your team won the state cup, or Disney. Good luck to all those kids that hope to play in college one day. I honestly hope you all get what you want. As for who wins these individual games or tournaments it really doesn't mean that much. Unless you like those ribbons and meaningless trophies.

Anonymous said...

Spoken like someone who has never won anything.

Anonymous said...

enjoy that ribbon. boy, the stories you will be boring all of your friends and family with...

Anonymous said...

We decided to leave Holmdel this past summer because "Daddy Ball" is still in full effect with the sounders. We were brought on to the team when their was a coaching change 2 years ago. The original coach had to take a back seat and did not like the way the new coach was running the program because his boys were not being showcased. Long story short the original coach could not handle the direction that the team was going in. Fired the Coach the he brought on. This was the coach that recommended that we join the team. Ever since the original coach took back the team once again his 2 sons are in the spotlight and those that were not a part of his original crew have been greatly mistreated. 3 players have already left the team and more will be following.

Anonymous said...

Umm you mean asked to leave. Team upgraded and some spare parts were not needed

Anonymous said...

we were not asked to leave. We made the decision to leave on our own. No player should be treated the way the coaches treated my son and the others. You can try to camouflage it any way you want. Your coaches should be mentors to the players and want to develop the players. Instead, because of an affiliation with a very well respected coach, that was released so daddy's boys could be front and center, players were purposely mistreated so they would not want to stay.

Anonymous said...

Mistreated?? You are wrong. Clarify with some examples. I am sure you have none. Players that left would not receive playtime, based on ability. Simple fact

Anonymous said...

Yes mistreated! Your coach is very vindictive. Only cares about his sons.

You are probably one of the the original parents sticking up for you friend and that is ok.

However, it is not fair to penalize a player by purposely not rostering that player for games and tournaments because that player missed a few practices for having a heavy work load from school and choosing to focus on studies.

If you agree that a player should be penalized for focusing on school work than you are just as unreasonable as Holmdel's coach.

Anonymous said...

so are you saying that your son who misses practices before games and tournaments should play games ahead of players who make practices?

Anonymous said...

Not saying that at all.

What is important is that All players should be treated fairly. School work, maintaining grades and religious obligations are sometimes more important than a team training session. The conflict arises when other players are missing for the same exact reason or other reasons with last minute notification and are treated differently.

Why is it you are so concerned and trying to justify player mistreatment. You do not have to agree. That is ok Keep sticking up for the coach. However, this is happening in Holmdel.

It was time to move on to a more positive environment and away from the daddy ball family affair in Holmdel.

Anonymous said...

I would think that you are making a strong case for players to go to Holmdel. Part of being a teenager is learning how to manage their time, and perhaps your son simply needs to play on a less competitive team. I would applaud my coach for benching players who dont attend practice. By playing the player who misses practice (in this case your son) you would then be showing favoritism. If that is the only problem at Holmdel then things are going well for them.

Anonymous said...

Come on ex Holmdel Dad. This cant be your entire case, can it? If so, stay out of litigation.

Anonymous said...

Did you guys pay attention to what he said. Other players were missing practice too and still were being rostered for games.

Anonymous said...

Yes, that is his justification. The reality is that IF they wanted his son on the team his son would be on the team. This is a classic example of someone that finds excuses NOT to go to practice or tournaments. Not sure why he even cares any more. There are some low level teams around that can put up with his lack of attention.

Anonymous said...

Please everyone relax. Holmdel is a high end program for dedicated and talented U16 players. Not everyone fits within those criteria and just like every other program, it is not a fit for everyone. No one wants to see someone not play, and we hope all ex players are enjoying their current experiences.

Anonymous said...

2:51 you sound like an idiot. A bit full of yourself aren't we? If ur the guy that posted the other comments on the daddy ball exchange ur even more laughable.

Anonymous said...

It's good to know that Holmdel is "high end"--that's really impressive!

Holmdel is top 10- they have a fighting chance

Wake up parents it is not you who earns playing time for your kids it is 100% up to the players. Parents bummed about PT is the oldest story in youth soccer

Hypocritical poster biased towards his sons ability, vindictive towards ex team. I can keep going...sounds like a quitter. Dads living vicariously through his son. A real tough keyboard warrior.

Parents also it's very distasteful to bring up other peoples kids when trying to make a case for your sons. If you went to a more positive environment why are you still so sour? Does your son not get time at his new club either?

I call bs

Anonymous said...

They 100% have a chance to beat any top team. Anyone who doubts it will be surprised. Good additions, some subtractions. Different scoring mentality.

Anonymous said...

Different scoring mentality, what does that even mean. Can you explain that???

Anonymous said...

Ladies and gentlemen, do we really assume that this is an NJX parent blowing so much smoke? Would they really be so crass in belittling opponents and former teams while enlightening New Jersey on their yet to be accomplished accomplishments?

I know the M.O of this blog is to pretend to be a member of a different team to abuse someone, but I fear that these comments are not as tongue in cheek as they should be.

And for the record, I dont have a kid on any team. I just happened to see this blog while watching my daughters team play!!!

Holmdel is on the rise. Many will be surprised.

The real question is, why does anyone even care about Holmdel? Sure they're a great group of guys but all these posts are silly. Our boys are 16. I'd love to start hearing some real conversation about how players/and parents are making out with the college recruiting process. Now is when it starts to need to pick up for our boys.

The quest to be recruited. Top flight of Disney........find more than one or two college coaches there, thats about it. I can only imagine what the lower flights dont get.

EDP schedules are up, how is it possible that Howell is in the 1st division and Holmdel is in the 2nd division? What thought process was used to put a lower ranked team in the top division?

Anonymous said...

Could have been at Holmdel's request.

Anonymous said...

Why would they do that? On the flip side why would Howell want 1st division. There are some 2nd division teams that deserve it ahead of Howell and Holmdel.

Anonymous said...

Look at the EDP standings from last year and you'll see the reasoning.

Howell top of division 2
Holmdel 2nd in MAPS elite (division 3)

Holmdel are a high school based team so don't focus on tournaments. Doesn't mean they can't win games.

Anonymous said...

High School based team? What does that mean?

Anonymous said...

Typo - Howell are high school

Anonymous said...

Howell is High School. What a dumb comment.

Anonymous said...

This Sunday, Marlboro or Marlton?

Anonymous said...

I'm guessing a postponement.

Anonymous said...

Why worry about one game? Why do you care?

Anonymous said...

The point of competition is to have a winner. Why do you think people shouldn't care?

Anonymous said...

Not sure why that person does not care but I don't care either. It is one match in a long season.

Anonymous said...

At what point do you start caring? Game 2,3,4,5? My son cares about every game he plays in.

Anonymous said...

Marlboro vs Marlton on Sunday any predictions?

Anonymous said...

I predict it will not be played. If it is, someone will win, someone will lose or maybe they will tie.

Anonymous said...

Yes, early games will be close to meaningless. At best these kids have been playing in a gym for past few months. Gonna take some time.

Anonymous said...

Being rusty when it comes to playing 11v11 full sided does not make early games meaningless. Competitive young men care about every single game therefore no game is meaningless.

Anonymous said...

I think the result could be considered less then meaningful but not quite meaningless.

Anonymous said...

I think the players and their coaches would disagree.

Anonymous said...

I think you, the parent, are a bit too involved.

Anonymous said...

Fact: each year the game changes. The speed of play will be faster than last year.

Each time a player steps onto a field they are gaining valuable experience. I think every game has coachable moments therefore every game is meaningful.

If you disagree, fine but explain in detail why so that we may all become as enlightened as you are.

Anonymous said...

Meaningful for development? Now you are asking a different question. Stick with the original point, that the game itself is meaningful.

The game hasn't even been played and parents are already making excuses saying the game is meaningless. In case his kid's team loses he can say they weren't ready.
